❛❛ Rhythm ❜❜ Ashley Aran 22 || Homosexual || Female || Vigilante |
PERSONALITY POSITIVE ✔ Loyal, Brave, Humorous, Observant, Determined NEGATIVE ✖Insecure, Reckless, Stubborn, Pessimistic, Competitive LIKES ✔ Cats, Mayo, Women, Sleeping, Nighttime Strolling DISLIKES ✖ Rain, Racism, Most People, Interrupted Naps, Preachy Douchebags PERSONALITY Rhythm carries with her a huge chip on her shoulder - she is hot-tempered and easily riled. She thoroughly enjoys a good fight, and is very confident and prideful of her ability, roughcut as it may be. However, she also has an oddly charming, charismatic atmosphere - in a swashbuckling, Captain Jack Sparrow sort of way. Despite her sometimes rough ways and speech, inside, Rhythm is a genius - although her ingenuity runs more along the ways of Wile E. Coyote than Albert Einstein. She is a tough-as-nails fighter in not only her punishing style of her chosen martial arts, but in all manners of the word. | APPEARANCE HEIGHT: 1.54 m (5’1”) WEIGHT: 42 kilos (93 lbs.) HAIR/STYLE: Shoulder length, black. SKIN/SCARS: Brown skin with light golden tint, numerous tattoos. EYES: Mismatched. Her right eye is a light sky blue while her left eye is a dark beguiling shade of brown. Sometimes, when overcome with a powerful emotion of any sort, both eyes will be filled with a molten gold color that glows softly. NOTABLES: She has a scar across her face that goes from cheekbone to cheekbone that crosses along her nose. It’s an intentional injury given to her by former associates of hers that she fell out of favor with. She also has an angel wing tattoo on her right shoulder that sweeps down her arm to her elbow. A truly gorgeous young lady whose latent gothic appearance serves only to enhance her exotic beauty. Her deceptively compact figure is shapely, toned, and lithe as a blade from years of martial arts and training, slender but very powerful. She often wears lighter shades that contrast sharply with her smooth, tanned, slightly golden tinted skin. She also has scars in her back and legs, both from training in her chosen martial art and the numerous scraps she’s gotten into throughout her short life. In the end, Rhythm only cares about her body in how it can keep up with her daily need of it, not how it actually appears to the world. It's why she dresses for comfort, not for looks. |
❛❛Get back motherfucker you don’t know me like that.❜❜ |
HISTORY Ashley didn’t have what one would call a ‘difficult’ upbringing. In fact she was mostly carefree through most of her young life and well into her teenage years, with her family being strong and generally progressive. Ashley claims her parents were so loose with her was because they knew there was no way they could have ever reigned her in, even if they wanted to. Her parents, hippies by nature, were accepting of their only daughter, and when her Quirk manifested they took that in stride as well. They never let Ashley feel unloved or unwanted, and until the day they died in a car accident Ashley was fairly certain she had the best parents a child could ask for. It was a Quirk user that had caused the accident that killed her parents, but Ashley didn’t blame that in particular. She had a good sense of right and wrong and knew to blame the actual person as opposed to his Quirk. But while she, logically, knew this was the correct and healthy way to view the situation she couldn’t help but feel stung when the man got off because he was ‘attempting to diffuse a different situation’, and ended up getting in way over his head. Her parents were collateral damage, though they didn’t word it like that. But Ashley knew, and a bitter resentment grew inside of her because of it. Ashley used the time following her parents deaths to pursue her own training in martial arts. More specifically she furthered her path in Muay Thai, using the funds left behind by her parents to travel to Thailand to learn the martial art in its birthplace. She lived there for several years and when her funds ran low Ashley took to taking odd jobs to pay for her rent and food. It wasn’t long before one of her trainers, a man she only knew as Li, took her to a ‘underground party’, a meaning that was completely different from what Ashley had in mind. It was an underground fighting arena, tailor made for those with Quirks and the occasionally skilled human. He’d learned of Ashley’s Quirk in the first couple of months as her trainer, and it was a fact he kept to himself until he saw how well she progressed as a fighter. He asked her to fight for him, and together they would rule the underground with iron fists. Ashley agreed, and the ring name ‘Rhythm’ was bestowed upon her by Li. For two years Rhythm and Li were major players in the underground fighting scene, and Ashley was able to hone her craft to a fine edge, capable of cutting down just about anyone who stood in her way. Their relationship ended not due to a fight or disagreement but Li’s untimely death at the hands of some random muggers. Ashley stayed in Thailand long enough to bury her friend, pay off some old debts and say goodbye to a few close friends before returning home to the United States. Things were different now, and Ashley felt like an outsider looking in. The world continued to change while she was buried deep in blood and battle, and it took her months to find her footing in the ‘real world’. Even now she still struggles to find a balance in her life, a way to get enough money to live while not losing her mind. Underground fighting paid very well and being broke was a new feeling for Ashley. The room she rented was Spartan and roach infested, and it was when she walked into it one dreary night that she noticed someone had slipped a business card under her door. Picking it up she saw ‘Wanna fight?’ in an untidy scrawl with an address on the back, with the word ‘Tonight!” in bolded letters. Maybe her money troubles were over. Or maybe she was heading into some kinda trap? Who would know her here? How would they know her background? And most pressing of all…did she have a choice? Her stomach growled then, and the decision was made. It wasn’t like the underground fights back in Thailand were safe, so she was used to the danger. Maybe she’d get paid, and maybe she’d find out who knew so much about her… |
