❛❛ Chaos Dragon ❜❜ Yuriko Hasegawa (長谷川 百合子, Hasegawa Yuriko) 19|| homosexual || female || Vigilante |
PERSONALITY POSITIVE ✔ Couragous, Humorous, Charismatic, Creative, Gracious NEGATIVE ✖ Jealous, Overconfident, Lonely, Deceptive, Pessimistic LIKES ✔ Forests, Summer, Her father, Dusk, Green (the color) DISLIKES ✖Crowded settlements, Felines, The laws surrounding Vigilantism, Prejudging opinions, Darkness PERSONALITY Those who seen Yuriko, and experienced all facets of her nature will almost certainly agree that the vigilante they know is an enigmatic figure. Those who first meet her often label her as the classic gentlewoman, the stereotypical noblewoman who acts with a certain eloquence. Her cheerful and slightly playful demeanor tends to serve as an excellent means to interact with the younger crowds. Indeed, Yuriko usually appears as a cheerful and well-mannered young woman whose kindness and suave attitude makes her easy to get along with. To those who know her a little bit better, Yuriko also shows a deeply ingrained sense of a personal code of honor, the type of woman who is incapable of letting a slight go by unpunished. She's surprisingly mature and understanding, often displaying an aptitude for listening to people, and share in their emotions as if they were her own. But she also seems incredibly loyal to those she calls her friends. But above all, Yuriko is an actor, and the earlier description is merely one of the countless masks she can put on if needed: The joker, the white knight, the kind elder sibling, the charming stranger and of course there's also the ruthless Vigilante. If there was a way to truly describe Yuriko, then perhaps the following might be the most genuine description of her true nature, at least if she still possesses that: They say a lion doesn't know fear, and that the heart of a lion beats within Yuriko. Upholding with the descriptions of her heroic nature, Yuriko is a brave and courageous individual. However, this trait, against all expectations was not a natural thing for the woman to possess. Rather, it unfolded during her time alongside her elder brother Hayate, the close camaraderie they held nurturing her growth into the woman she is today. Seeing him as an example in how he never cowered in the face of seemingly overwhelming odds or the fact he never was one to back off from a challenge, Yuriko is the type of woman who upholds the virtue of courage and admires it in others. However, most important is the knowledge that she would consider the lack of it a flaw. While her past might have unfolded in a way she had not desired, the fact that she has been given a second chance at building a future in the form of a vigilante has given Yuriko a passion for the unknown and challenges. She's the type of woman who is prone to travel to a foreign land, just to see what awaits her there. In the end, if she refused to explore the possibilities her new life has to offer then she would end up getting at a standstill, and everyone knows that in a world like ours moving forwards is necessary if you wish to survive. Curiously enough her suave attitude is not a disguise; she truly is a confident and pleasant to interact with woman. The type of person you can easily converse with while she displays a relaxed and often delightfully social demeanor. Not only that, but as a woman of her age she knows all too well that the right compliment at the right time can cause a situation to turn into her favor. Having experienced firsthand what sort of things can happen to a person when they are encouraged and helped one can say that Yuriko is often prone to take on a distant mentor-like attitude toward those she considers weaker than her, especially children. In the end she considers it a mutually beneficial choice, because the weaker individual increased their chance for survival, and she herself obtains a potential ally. However, her method of encouragement might be a bit harsh, for she believes that people nurture the best on barren soil, and that means to improve from enduring hardships. An aspect of her personality that tends to naturally blend in with her pride, Yuriko is often rather arrogant in the sense that she overestimates herself. She might not think lowly of others; it's just that she thinks really highly about herself. As someone who often stood in the spotlight, only outmatched by her elder brother caused Yuriko to manifest this trait. She often considers herself capable of doing more than people imagine she can, and often this manifests in her inability to properly calculate her own capacities when it comes to a battle. Associated to the fact she failed to save her father from the ignorance of the mob which came to hunt her down. This personal failure has made Yuriko often become prone to seeing things a lot more negatively than they are when things turn out in a way she didn't expect them to be. However, it's also that regret that turns into pessimism, which serves as an unhealthy stimulant for Yuriko to move forward. In the end, with a regretful past it's not exactly like she has anything to lose by moving forwards. The type of woman who lives in the here and now Yuriko is often prone to act the moment an opportunity shows itself rather than waiting to see things. While this might conflict with her deceptive nature the fact she’s impulsive also opens a certain sense of training in thinking on the move. Still her impulsiveness was born even before her life as vigilante. As someone born during the early discovery of the time Quirks came into existence, she often had to act and think quickly or risk losing her life. However, most often this manifests as a negative trait because it makes her impatient and dislike the idea of waiting when the opportunity is there. While this only happens to those who challenged her or otherwise tried to oppose her Yuriko tends to allow herself to show a certain mean streak to her at times. Sadistic in terms of enjoying the sight of humiliating her enemies in the attempt to make them know their place upon defeat by her hands Yuriko might not be the type of woman who’d mindlessly kill someone who crossed her path, unless she has a reason, but her fallen enemies can certainly expect not to leave without a fair share of mental or physical humiliation. While she does not develop a grudge quickly, the moment she does one is pretty much guaranteed it will last until the day one of them dies. In the end Yuriko has seen her fair share of betrayals and wrongdoings, and something about them remaining unsolved only stirs an intense hatred within her. Of course while she might be convinced to drop a grudge the saying ‘She might forgive, but she’d never forget’ applies to her. She might decide to forgive someone in the end, but the grudge for the event will always linger. | APPEARANCE HEIGHT: 2.02m WEIGHT: 75kg HAIR/STYLE: blond SKIN/SCARS: Peach EYES: Red, clearly contains a slit-like iris similar to a dragon NOTABLES: Yuriko always possesses a pair of pair of beige two-pronged horns Standing at 2 meters and 02 centimeters high Yuriko is a tall girl with long blond hair kept in a pair of ponytails. One quite noticeable feature of the young lady is her bright red eyes which have a peculiar dragon-like iris inside them. On terms of physical appearance her body appears deceptively human, to the point she could easily pass away as an ordinary, albeit tall woman. However, she seems quite well-developed in feminine features, often leading to Yuriko's playful stateement about her bust size. On terms of clothes the girl is often prone to wearing a maid outfit of sorts, a memento from her father's efforts to make her recover from the past hardships that were caused by her quirk. However, should she will it Yuriko is able to draw upon the dragonic features of her body, in particular gaining the ability to grow a long scaled tail and a pair of wings which she can use for flight. |

HISTORY There is no doubt, that no matter what era or civilization, there will always be outcasts within society. Especially the arrival of the mysterious phenomena that became known as ‘Quirks’ made this evident. Although the treatment of people with Quirks has softened over the years, there is no doubt that there is still a certain sense of isolation among those who possessed more peculiar Quirks, and Yuriko was such an unfortunate soul. Born as the lone daughter of the Hasegawa household, Yuriko’s childhood had a peaceful origin. Her father was a wealthy businessman who owned his own small corporation within Musutafu, while her mother was a teacher at a local elementary school. All in all, it started peacefully, but things slowly came to change when Yuriko’s quirk first manifested. At first, it was just a pair of horns that sprouted on top of her head and considering she was the first Quirker among the Hasegawa family Yuriko was taken toward a center to undergo several tests to identify her quirk. Oddly enough the tests alone didn’t confirm much aside from the fact those horns were as hard as stone, and that further observation was required. Of course, little did Yuriko or her parents know about the fact that the authorities aren’t always benevolent, some sought to harness the power of Quirks and make it their own, and a rather influential politician was participating in a rather nefarious scheme: to manipulate a person’s mind through their Quirk factor. Simply said it allowed them to draw forth the full potential of a person’s quirk, but forced them into a brainwashed state, a broken puppet. During those so-called further examinations that Yuriko underwent, the center actually started to experiment on her, a collective of drugs and stimulants being used to develop her quirk at an unnatural rate. It was at that point that they knew what Yuriko’s quirk was: She was turning into a dragon. Of course, Yuriko’s parents got suspicious, in the end in only a few years time their daughter had no longer just a pair of horns, but also a long scaled tail and when provoked could exhale fire from her mouth! But worst of all was that the girl couldn’t recall anything about the experiments. It was eight years ago when things finally took a turn for the worst. In an attempt to drive her quirk into a heightened state of power they gave her an overdose of the usual treatment, and to a degree it worked, but it also backfired immensely. Backfired how exactly? Well, ask yourself: what would happen if you stimulate a young woman threatening to turn into a dragon? The answer was simple: She transformed into a dragon and went on a rampage. The restrains did little to stop her as she trashed her way out of the laboratory, just in time for her parents to see their changed daughter flying off into the distance. The end result was disastrous: The experiment was revealed and those involved in the hideous acts severely punished, and meanwhile, Yuriko’s parents started their search for their missing daughter. How painful it must have been for her parents to see her like that, their beloved daughter, turned into a creature only seen in fantasy. They tried to pacify her and fortunately were able to coax her into a calmed state. It took several years before she had regained a sense of humanity, able to communicate normally again, and finally, she was able to be calmed enough to regain a humanoid form. Earnest research finally revealed that Yuriko's quirk had regressed back, lessening her transformation, but should she be properly provoked or hone her power further... none might know how long it might take before the slumbering dragon is stirred again. In the wake of the events, Yuriko remained among nature, preferring the sanctuary of the wilderness over the crowded hustle and bustle of human society. However, even if her family and the researchers tried to keep her existence a secret, it appeared that rumors had started to rise within Musutafu about a real dragon being sighted on the outskirts of the city, leading to an influx of fantasy game fanatics to search for the cause of those rumors. Some might have thought it would lead to a disaster, at least if not for Yuriko's father his creative idea: To use the rumors to make some beneficial for Yuriko. As a result, a modest building was built within the forest, and pulling some strings to hire the needed staff for managing the place they transformed the building into a fancy maid café, and Yuriko? She became the key factor in the plan, using her dragon-like features to turn the rumor of a 'dragon' into a 'dragon girl'. Considering Japan's culture, the plan was a thunderous success, leading Yuriko to find herself in a most peculiar situation. No longer was she a monster from fantasy on the verge of being hunted, instead, she was a popular maid serving in a secluded café on the outskirts of Musutafu. It was an embarrassing situation for sure, but an oddly pleasant one compared to the alternative she might have found herself forced into. Still, little did she know that the future would have some startling events await her. It all began when she had been walking on the outskirts of the forest, a trip she frequently made to convince travelers to visit the maid café when a sudden scream drew her attention. Of course, she was quite startled and started to rush toward the direction of the voice. She found a few masked men trying to rob the owners of a wealthy-looking car, and seeing how they were brutally manhandling the passengers Yuriko stirred into motion. Her wings erupted from her back as she rapidly descended, balling her hand into a fist and with a violent swing hit the man on the head as she descended, a punch that carried enough force to send him reeling into the nearby railing of the street. As the man's companion noticed her arrival he was about to attack her, gun raised and ready to unleash a volley of bullets at her, if not for the fact a newcomer arrived. A woman she could describe as looking similar to an Oni, a creature from Japanese folklore effortlessly pulled up the man with one hand and with a forceful shove knocked him onto the ground, the impact enough to knock the lights out of her. The stranger introduced herself as Red Horn, and proceeded to explain that her actions, while heroic in nature bordered the line of vigilantism, but considering that she was interested in the girl who could be best described as looking like something straight from a fantasy game, she offered Yuriko an opportunity: That if she ever wanted to do something 'heroic' like that again, that she would come to her office. Little did Yuriko know just how soon she would find herself on Mia's doorstep again... |
