I just wanted to preface this thread by saying, this is my first time doing any type of "DMing" on this site so please be patient with me as we write a great story together. I will also be using a simple rolling system to test the waters a bit. If you have any problems with how anything goes, feel free to shoot me a DM and we can discuss it!
When attempting to make a check, whether that be in combat with an enemy, or dealing with an environmental hazard a 1d20 is rolled. The following bonus is added based on your characters level.
+1 Rank 1
+2 Rank 2
+3 Rank 3
+4 Rank 4
so on, so on.
If you have an ability that is applicable to the situation at hand: aka trying to make a long jump, if you had some sort of ability that allowed you to boost your jumping ability(through usage of your quirk, or otherwise) you can add a following bonus.
G = +0
F = +1
E = +2
D = +3
C = +4
so on, so on.
In all schools students are punished for varying degrees of delinquency, U.A was no different in this fact. However the punishments were indeed unique, as soon to be heroes, they were expected to not only be heroic, but to serve their communities. On occasion, when punished, students would be sent to do community service of some kind. Todays delinquents were sent to Dagobah beach, to clean up some of the litter which accumulated at the shores of an otherwise pristine beach. For whatever reason, your character has found themselves punished and at the beach to get to cleaning. An intimidating chaperone watches over you and fellow students as you scour the beach looking for litter. The chaperone was a tall hero, standing at over 6’4 he looked like a brick wall.. Literally. Whatever his quirk was, made him look much like a stone wall with a face slapped onto the front. For the most part he was quiet, except to bark orders on where to clean next or if they got too chatty. He didn’t seem to mind idle chit-chat as long as the work was getting done, but any attempt at fun was quickly stifled by the iron(or should I say stone?) disciplinarian.
The weather that day was honestly great, a gentle breeze coming from the shore, it was an idyllic day by all means and if you were forced to be out on the beach doing manual labor for a few hours. Today would probably be the day you’d want to do it. As the summer season was coming to a close, not many people were on the beach today as the hustle and bustle of fall had gotten underway. People were going to class, working, or doing whatever functioning members of society usually do. Even for a weekend it was incredibly quiet, but that would make their job easier considering they didn’t have to worry about trampling over anyone as they picked up litter.
Just as everyone would begin to fill in, the chaperone would clap his hands together to get the attention of the students before reminding them of a few rules. “You’ve got to fill a minimum of three bags of trash today.” he pointed to a roll of large black plastic bags. “If you fail to do that, you’ll have to come again next Saturday, so let’s not do that to either of us? Sound good? Great.” he said, as he then went to continue on the explanation. “Keep chatter to a minimum, you’re here to work, not talk. If there’s something important enough to talk about, tell me. We’ll take a break after three hours for you guys to eat and drink then another two to finish. Any questions?” The stone man then went to sit on a beach at the back end of the beach as he got comfortable, he pulled out a book from.. Somewhere and began to read, taking the occasional glance at the students to ensure they were doing their work.
