Julen was glad they got through with little to no casualties, he wasn't shocked, he had plenty of experience working handling grunts but these military soldiers were still wet behind the ears. "Do I finish them off?" he asked as he hovered his scythe over the heart of one of the soldiers. A small sadistic grin peeked through his mouth as his unstable personality began to shine through. All it would take from Julen was a scythe through their chest and it would certainly do the trick, sending them into shock, If that didn't work then hammering away at their bodies and breaking every bone could certainly work as well, despite julen's quirk being very non lethal in many forms, his experience from years of used has lead to MANY ways around that loop hole. He noticed that the he couldn't break the soldiers gun... damn that thing was durable. Julen stared at it, he took into consideration that he needed a back up weapon just in case his quirk failed him...
he took the liberty of taking one of the soldier's gun. he also checked if the soldier had a tactical holster with buckles so that he could take off of their uniform easily and attach to his pants, so that he would not need to constantly be holding it in his hands. Julen was not trained on how to fire a gun but he did spend a lot of time around them. In addition to that it didn't take a genius to fire one, just took one to make it hit the intended target, who knows, it could be useful and guns were NOT easy to come bye in japan.
He'd follow behind thunder as it seemed his father figure seemed to have spot a point of interest for their escape. Thunder began with an obvious comment of theres more going on then just a distraction for his escape. "Huh. you dont say? I really had NO idea." he said with a sarcastic roll of his eyes. NO SHIT THIS WAS NOT PART OF THE PLAN, however he sat and took in every detail thunder had given Julen, so there were three pro's on the scene? Very well then, however one part of his explanation DID bug him, 'The little one is probably going to try and shoot me.' that's all Julen needed to hear to instantly change his scythe into a shield with saying a word. "That's if I let her hit you. If she fires a shot at you I wont hesitate to kill her." he said preparing himself for a worse case scenario. He also figured that if he showed up with a shield instead of a scythe they'd be perceived as less of a threat and hopefully that would help.
He watched as he saw Thunder tried to handle the soldier but Julen's attention laid elsewhere, SHIT it was that girl he sparred with. She was a student at U.A what if she thought he was a villain... he used a free hand to pull the hoodie down some more and made sure to keep his shield up in front of thunder to protect him and julen's own face. "Oi, do NOT don't say my name out loud, crimson reaper only." he said in a whisper to him, he'd explain to thunder why later since right now they couldn't really talk about why.
For the time being, Julen would let Thunder handle the talking and he'd be ready to leap into action should they make any moves to try and attack him, he'd be ready to block.

It was a foolish mistake. Although her jitte had found its mark, Tetsuko had evidently placed too much faith in her teacher to finish things. She’d trusted that he was a capable combatant, that he’d know that disarming an opponent holding a weapon was the first thing you put your mind to, that a downed opponent was always to be finished off. A trust misplaced in a man who’s experience she overestimated. Worst of all, she’d come to know it was her fault too. For being so naive and deluded, for letting the adrenaline and the rush of it all get to her, for letting herself be oblivious to the man’s still held firearm until it was too late. For being entirely unable to defend Elise. The Germanic girl’s cry of warning had Tetsuko snapping toward the source, shock and instinct coursing through her like lightning as she sprung forth with eyes wide. Thought abandoned her in those few moments, the sound of gunshots ringing out so close that she had no idea what to do but strike him down as quickly as she could. Iron erupted crudely from her palm, cutting her hand as it shaped itself into a shoddy and dull katana in her hands, which she swung down at the man’s hands to forcibly disarm him. As she did this, she caught Elise coming in to strike him in the face with the butt of her rifle, as she fell to the ground… And cried out in pain. ”ELISE!” Her senses snapped back to her, hard, and a whole new wave of panic washed over her. Elise had been shot. Tetsuko felt like screaming, her face twisted with horror as she rushed over to the downed Germanic girl, her mind swimming and fractured as she tried to make sense of it all. Elise applied some salve, while Tetsuko dropped to her knees beside the girl, looking on in distress as the other girl healed herself, seeing that the only wound was on leg. ”Oh God… Oh God… Elise… I…” She was what? Sorry? For being useless? No, an apology was only an admission of her weakness. Tetsuko slowly came to her senses as it became more clear that Elise was OK thanks to that medicine of hers, a dark clarity started washing over her. ”I’m sorry, please just take it easy…” Tetsuko said gently, helping Eli rise to her feet slowly, before looking into her eyes and nodding quietly before stepping toward the soldier who’d shot Elise. Her head was a mess, her stomach churning, but her intent clear, as the cruel realization started to echo in her mind, in the same voice that spoke to her in her dreams. You aren’t much of a protector, are you? After all that training… Without a word, she approached the downed soldier, the one that Arata should have finished off in the first place, and raised her dull sword. It wasn’t sharp enough to sever him, but it was hard enough to hurt. If he still wasn’t disarmed, she’d swing it once down at his hands. Even if he was, she wanted to ensure this disgusting excuse for a soldier never wielded a gun the same way again. Then, she’d slam the flat of the blade into his nose, and once more at his jaw. Again if he wasn’t unconscious by then. All this, as some sickening feeling rose from deep inside her stomach. All she was doing was making sure an evil man didn’t attack them anymore. That’s what she told herself. ”You always make sure a downed opponent is taken care of.” Cold words of advice were spoken as she glanced harshly at Arata, before carrying on with her mind still fractured and bleeding as she set herself on getting out of this place. Without letting Elise get hurt again. Without being so useless again. A sharp intake of breath would follow Elise’s words, as the Germanic girl revealed she believed Thunder Shock had escaped, let free even. ”Bastards…” Tetsuko muttered, face twisting with anger and disgust at the thought. Now they really needed to get out of here, before the man who’d taken the Eisenberg parents could hurt the girl Tetsuko loved. They continued to formulate strategies, deciding on what would be the best tool to dispatch the helicopter flying overhead. That idea seemed impractical, given how much energy was apparently required to use it. Tetsuko withdrew the iron from her shoddy sword back into her hand, resolving to follow Elise’s strategies on dispatching the chopper with an anti-material weapon. There was the risk of being attacked, but Tetsuko was not dissuaded, and neither was Elise. Wincing at the pain Eli was evidently feeling, Tetsuko found even more meaning in those words she gave to Arata, as the swordswoman decided she agreed entirely with Elise. ”She’s right. They’re out to kill us, we need to be prepared to cut them down too. This isn’t war, this isn’t Heroics, right now this is survival…” Tetsuko said coldly, gritting her teeth as that moment replayed in her mind. Elise’s cry of pain wasn’t going to leave her any time soon, as the swordswoman remained so disgustingly sickened by her own weakness. As Elise smiled weakly at her, Tetsuko’s face showed only pain and self-loathing, looking away as she continued to lament her own weakness. ”Eli, please, stay behind me… I can’t… I won’t let you take another hit.” Tetsuko suddenly announced, her voice strained yet focused as she stepped in front of Elise as they marched on toward the armory. Elise continued to talk on about Thunder Shock and how he might be involved in this, but Tetsuko’s mind was only on getting the hell out of there and taking care of that chopper. That had to be quick, they couldn’t delay… Or it’d be too late. Lightning crackled through the air, and Tetsuko’s immediate reaction was to freeze up in fear of the electrical presence. Her greatest fear, wielded by the most despicable man she knew. Something strange and dark washed over her as she turned to face the source, the evil that had killed Elise’s parents. Something that washed away her fear, that drowned out the lies he spouted to them, treating them like they were anything less than enemies. Like he was anything more than scum.
What is a blade’s purpose? Before he’d even finished speaking, Tetsuko rushed forward, throwing out her hand as she formed the quickest and easiest to create blade she had, a tanto knife. Without a thought passing through her mind, without any consideration beyond her own hatred and instinct, she lunged, and thrust the blade at Thunder, paying almost no mind to the man beside him. No mind to the foolishness of her actions. Love and hate were what motivated her. And neither were particularly known for being rational.

Well, he royally screwed up. He took care of two potential deadly threats, but, he neglected to ensure that the third was down and out for the count. While everyone was trying to gather themselves, this guy had pulled out a side piece. Why was it always the side piece that did the most damage? And Arata and Elise were shot. Arata took two in the legs and stumbled down to his knees in sudden pain from the sting hitting his legs. His hands hitting the ground before they could all take care of the soldier.
"Fuck! I know! I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! Are you going to be okay? Guys? Both of you? Are you both going to be okay? Tell me you're going to be okay!" He was a little uneased now. Sure he was big on anime and manga. Sure, he was no stranger to violence as a hero or vigilante. But, when someone he was charged with the care of got hurt, he was new to that. And so, he was having a panic attack while trying to make sure that both Elise and Tetsuko were not hurt mortally. "I'm so sorry. Please tell me you're going to be okay."
While he was having his little episode, and getting a lecture from Tetsuko about survival, the remaining soldier was taken care of, from one of the more unorthodox places of help at all. A villain, Thundershock no less. Looking over his shoulder, Elias took in the look of the person, no, persons coming up to them. Thundershock and some red head. Arata would need that medicine from Elise quick so he could get up on his feet and turn to face them.
He had to think fast, Tetsuko was trying to rush in! Arata thrust both of his arms out, while both of those spectral hands rushed out to block off Tetsuko from reaching Thundershock or Julen. "Stop! You said it yourself, this isn't a fight right now. This is survival. As much as I hate to say it, we could use all the help we can get to get out of here Tetsuko. Can I ask you to please trust me on this?" He would say if he managed to block her off and keep her from reaching the villains.
He hated that he had to do this but, "They're targeting people with quirks. Ideally, they would rather see heroes and villains fighting each other, weakening each other, and then picking them off from afar. Think about it. If either of us fought, if any of us five fought, and wasted up all of our energy on each other, instead of taking the time to use our quirks in moderation to get out of here safely, we would be sitting ducks." He wasn't smiling for once. Arata normally had a smile, regardless of his mood.
"How about it? We help each other out of here, and then we can play the hero on villain game after. They don't care what side we play for, they want to put us down regardless of affiliation, age, gender, or anything." He said while looking directly at Thundershock. "But, if you do want to work together to get out of here, I don't care what you want to do, and, I am not going to let you get anywhere near my students. I don't want to start a fight, but I will if I have to. Do I make myself clear?" He wasn't going to let Tetsuko fight this man, he wasn't going to let any of his students put themselves on the front line before him, not anymore.

BANG! BANG! BANG!
The weight of the cold metal, reassuring when held between his hands, left over right, both thumbs facing forward, just like they were taught in boot. The ear-shattering bang of the bullet breaking the sound barrier. The kick, strong but controllable, a constant reminder of the power that was being unleashed with the press of a trigger. Even if this age of quirks, a pistol was still an excellent and very lethal weapon, penetrating the skin like butter and causing the nerves to cry out in pain.
Twelve shots. Even though most of them went wide, he managed to get four good hits on the redhead with the air gun and their teachers. The maniacal grin on his face turn to jubilant laughter. “Serves you right, you fucking--”
His laugh was soon interrupted by a rifle butt crashing on top of his helmet. The hit rang in his ears, but it wasn’t enough to knock him out just yet. “--fucking quirkers, this is our revenge--”
If Elise’s attack hadn’t been enough, Tetsuko was on another level when it came to dishing out punishment at close range. First, the jitte crashed down on the soldier’s hand with enough force to break a cinder block; his phalanges stood no change. “AAAARGHG!” His fingers were mangled, twisted in a sick way, bent in the wrong direction. Middle school flashed before his eyes again. “... Dangers to society…” he muttered, but his racist rant was soon interrupted by another blow, to the face this time. His nose broke with a crunch, and this time he did his best to hold the scream in, blood already flowing from his nostrils. “Go to hell, you demon--”
The last blow finally silenced him, hitting him square on the jaw and rattling his brain enough to make him lose consciousness. His body laid there, on his belly, his face flat on the ground and resting in a growing pool of his own blood.
He was still breathing, raggedly so, but he was. Until lighting -- or rather, thunder -- struck.
This overload of pain in a short time, along with the electricity, caused his peripheral nervous system to fire wildly. He went into shock. His heart stopped. He was still alive, but without medical attention, it soon wouldn’t be the case anymore.
---
From the other side of the armory, a familiar face entered. The face belonged to a slouched-over man advancing with careful steps. His entire body language screamed of fear, and he wasn’t carrying a single weapon. His name was Shinichi Yoshida, the mild-mannered engineer who sometimes engaged the quirkers coming to try out the army’s weaponry, eager to share the knowledge for which he had such passion -- when his boss wasn’t here to have him help sell their products.
Like the overwhelming majority of the civilians who had been present at the beginning, he first attempted to flee, but his conscience and guilt kept biting at him. He had learned things he should not have the previous day, accidentally eavesdropping on a pair of chatty soldiers while moving his bowels.
He didn’t want to believe it. It couldn’t be right. He misheard it, or they were joking, anything. But when the guns started blazing, he had no other choice but to face the truth, realizing he had been actively denying it. He should have said something yesterday. Warn another commander, a sergeant, hell, even a private. Was it fear that kept him from doing so? Was it fear that had him deny the truth presented in front of his eyes yesterday?
Whatever it was, he had to make things right. Whether he would be able to or not was another story, as Yoshida-san was currently tied to a chair against a wall in the armory. In front of him stood two men. The men were strapped with a rather strange assemblage of hydraulic tubes and electric motors, protected by olive drab plates around the most vital areas. The exoskeletons left much of the men’s fatigues-clad bodies exposed, but it was’t without its uses.
Using the most cutting edge technologies, supplementing the hydraulic systems with high-torque electric motors to drastically reduce the size of the contraption. It allowed the exos to be very light and leave their wearers extremely agile, their nimbleness and strength surpassing those of world-class athletes. It also offered very good protection with the carbon and kevlar plates strategically disposed around the tubing and the soldier’s bodies, complemented by their ballistic-weave clothing.
Clearly, the soldiers inside weren’t any old private either, but some of the most elite members of the special forces, called in for a very specific mission: once the villain Thunder Shock would be left to escape as part of the colonel’s plan, they would recapture him, serving as an argument to sway public opinion their way by displaying the superior peacekeeping capabilities of the army. It was safe to say the military clearly wasn’t fan of the whole hero school deal either.
For now, though, they were interrogating Yoshida, who was quite understandably browning his pants. Not quite literally, but uncomfortably close. Seeing a civilian flee the wrong way raised their suspicions, especially when they confirmed his identity.
“For the last time, Yo-chan. What do you know?”
Tired of asking and only getting terrified incoherent blurbs tom the bespectacled engineer, he decided a little physical threat was in order. He calmly punched the wall right next to an engineer’s head, his fist comfortably lodging itself in the concrete wall next to it. Half power was all that had been needed to cause this damage and send Yoshida yelping in fear, screaming in a very high-pitched tone.
---
Through the thick, sound-insulated walls of the armory, the little group outside wasn’t likely to have heard any of that, the steel door leading to it closed and locked by the special forces soldiers inside, definitely craftier than the average soldiers. The lock however was a weak point, but nimble hands with the right tools might just be able to pick it. Destroying it was a riskier, noisier but also viable option.
However, all this depended on whether or not the heroes and the villains would be at each other’s throats. The helicopter, while a danger to anyone trying to escape, didn’t have a good enough shot from within the camp, with the tents providing plenty of hiding spots and the inherent risk of hitting friendlies in what was essentially a small-scale civil war.

It was odd, to think that despite herself being the one who got shot, she was the one who had remained the calmest between herself and Tetsuko. Although the smile she gave her lover was clearly forced. "I'm sorry to have worried you Tetsu." She tried to answer apologetically as she started to feel the pain in her leg slowly subdue, but it did little to lessen the turmoil in the iron-blooded girl's heart. It was odd, a part of her wished she could have kept Tetsuko from dirtying her hands like that, to beat up the soldier into losing consciousness but then again Elise knew all too well that those who shot people, were also prepared to get shot. It was a saying she had learned to acknowledge ever since she took up a firearm, in the end, if she was going to hurt someone she needed to be willing to get hurt also.
However, it seemed that their homeroom teacher got shot also, the girl quietly crouched down next to her teacher and pulling another vial of salve started to heal the injury, it was a good thing she had prepared some supplies, even if they had been meant to be shown to the army rather than to use them to protect their lives. What a bitter irony.
In the wake of their opponent being incapacitated and her approach toward the armory being resumed Elise felt her footsteps stop in their tracks. Of course, as if her bad luck couldn't get any worse, it actually decided to one-up her expectations. The sudden blast of lightning that arched toward them instinctively made Elise's hand rapidly pull down toward the holster that contained one of the two guns she had stolen, rapidly stepping aside and aiming the firearm toward the approaching villain, judging from the dangerous glare in her eyes she might have ended up shooting him at the slightest reason
Oh how much she longed to shoot the man right there and then, but unfortunately it seemed fate was about to play a more cruel game with them. Tetsuko in her rage lashed out toward Thunder Shock, but before she could reach him Arata intercepted her, the spectral hands blocking the girl's approach as Thunder Shock's taunt was received loud and clear. "Tetsu!" Elise called out to her, the gun still aimed at Thunder Shock as she felt that eerie chill rise up within her heart again.
"Please don't... I won't let that man taint you also, nor will I allow him to steal away my sunshine. Please... please return to my side and be my shield once more. I can't handle this without you at my side." She tried to sound as sweet and gentle as possible, but couldn't help but find her voice shaking slightly.
And then it happened again, that chill as her lips curved into a nonchalant smile as she threatened the man. "How about we find out whether I can pull the trigger or not? If you don't want to find out, keep that thunder of you in your pants Thunder Cock."
She briefly shot a cursory glare at the man in the villain's company, likely the one who had helped make Thunder Shock's escape a possibility.
"If you want to fry people, you'll find plenty of people trying to keep us from escaping." A brief glance was made to the side, where the maimed soldier was clearly suffering from cardiac arrest, no wonder after all the physical trauma and the lightning attack he had just taken.
For a moment Elise couldn't help but find her mind recalling a distant memory, and lowering her gun that was aimed at Thunder Shock she whispered underneath her breath. "Primum non nocere" She still remembered those words, the Hippocratic Oath, she had taken up the medical profession to help people, to keep Tetsuko safe. Letting that man die would be to go against everything she represented as a doctor, to go against the very calling of the Eisenberg.
Her footsteps took her over to the man's body, her gaze cast quietly onto the man's face. She found her gun raised slightly, aimed at the angle where she could deliver a single bullet to the soldier's head to end his misery. She wasn't afraid of shooting someone, of killing an enemy but then why? Why now...
Her free hand squeezed lightly, feeling her fingernails digging lightly into the palm of her hand as she recalled the things he called out to Tetsuko. "I WILL NOT PERMIT considerations of age, disease or disability, creed, ethnic origin, gender, nationality, political affiliation, race, sexual orientation, social standing or any other factor to intervene between my duty and my patient"
A certain declaration that doctors were meant to uphold, and for a moment Elise couldn't help but recall feeling that same memory resurface within her mind when she looked at Tetsuko. "Tetsuko, sensei make sure those two don't move from there." Elise called out to them as she crouched down at the motionless body of the man. Cardiac Arrest, if she didn't hurry he would likely die, although she had a fair dose of medicine left it still would need some extra amplification to function. In the end she would make her decision.
The first thing to do when dealing with Cardiac arrest was use a defribilator, but considering the idiot got himself fried... no, she had no choice but to proceed with CPR, and fortunately for her she had not only learned how to do it at medical school, but the school nurse Sophie even recently had a lecture on it!
Still, unaware to the villains Elise was also applying her quirk, her saliva transferring over into the man's mouth as she pulled a vial containing a red liquid, an overdose of her own blood and injected it into the man's arm. Although the man would soon likely find himself recovering from his injuries to a more stable state, Elise couldn't help but find herself panting from exhaustion, rising back onto her feet. "Have fun knowing that you're still alive thanks to the help of one of those 'demons'. If you carry even a fragment of the honor and pride Kobayashi-sensei has you will see what side the right one is to fight for... Else stay here lying on the ground till this conflict is over. Next time you interfere I can't promise that you won't be killed."
She rose from the side of the soldier and looked at Thunder Shock, shooting him a defiant glare that was almost like a 'na na nanana na! I saved the guy you tried to kill!' "I won't let any needless deaths be caused by you again..."
Even if she did heal the soldier partly out of spite, her job as a physician was done and she reached lightly toward Tetsuko and gestured at the nearby armory door. "The door is likely locked Tetsu, but I'm wondering if you can use your quirk to make a key? Meanwhile, I might have an idea to safely peek inside..."
Explaining her intentions the girl went to pick up her drone and started to pilot it, seemingly with the intention to make it fly slightly over the rooftop of the armory, hoping to see if there was anything that could be spotted with its infrared camera. At the very least she would be able to figure out if anything dangerous awaited them inside.
"I hate to admit it, but sensei has a point... We'll tolerate your presence for now." She said to both Thunder Shock and Julen, but not without her mind eerily having that thought surface again: She was going to tolerate them, but whether they would be leaving the military camp alive or not remained to be seen...

Thunder hadn't even spared a glance towards Julen whenever he hissed at him to not use his real name. Thunder wanted to bark at him about the fact that he hadn't even used his name when the two were in private, but he chose to overlook it for the time being... He was simply being cautious, though the fact that he spoke to Thunder like he was just another ordinary thug in that moment caused the villain to click his tongue in annoyance. It only served to fuel the lightning that shot forth from him to electrocute the soldier on the ground and bring him moments away from losing his life. No doubt even if he lived, there would be irreparable damage of some sort after a strike like that.
The grin that was plastered on his face as he taunted the little girl never faded, not even when another of the little girls rose up against him and lunged at him, Tanto knife in hand. He only scoffed, remaining completely un moving, the only movement was the constant sparks that danced off of his body. It indicated that Thunder was ready to strike at the girl, though it seemed he didn't have too, and Julen didn't have to step in either as the older man used his own work to stop her. Thunder couldn't help but let out a scoff at that as he looked down condescendingly towards the girl, knowing he was in a position where they couldn't afford to touch him. At least not yet.
"So little Tetsuko has a temper!" He said, repeating the name Arata had said out loud, his smirk only increasing as the amusement of the situation reflected in his eyes. He would then look away from the girl towards the Hero who was speaking to both him and Julen.
"The three of you I like, you know if you ever get bored of being Hero's my clan pays pretty well." He said both sarcastically and mockingly before he would even deign an answer to Arata's explanation of the situation. It was an obvious assessment of situation and outcome and didn't present any new information to the villain.
"Just to make it clear, Hero, Your little her girl came at me first~ If I wanted any of them dead, I could have done so from t he prison. So, instead of thinking i'm so unreasonable, why not go over the plan then?" Thunder would then raise his right hand, the sleeve of his suit falling back to reveal the red marking from where the handcuffs had been. If one looked closely enough, you could see the larger than usual puncture wounds there. There had been conductors in those gauntlets that had been digging into his skin since the moment they had brought him here.
"They were powering something with my quirk, and something big. Judging by where we are some kind of gun. Find it, blast the helicopters out of the sky, and have a ground force deal with any soldiers that chose to come at us on foot. Should be pretty easy for you lot, shouldn't it?" He stated casually, slipping his hand back into his pocket and letting his sleeve fall over the injuries once more. While he did have a good deal of information of what was going on here... he didn't have it all. He'd managed to corrupt quite a few new soldiers, as well as older soldiers who had already been under the influence, but there was still only so much they could do with him locked up there so that they could maintain their cover.
His e yes though returned to Elise as she attempted to taunt him, telling him to keep his thunder in his pants, and Thunder could only roll his eyes at that.
"No wonder you're still in school, you on't know the difference between Thunder and Lightning. With an IQ that low, you'll never become a pro, let alone figure out HOW to shoot me, kid. " He scoffed with a light shrug of his shoulders, taking a step closer to one of the tents as he heard the helicopter nearby, seeking that little bit of extra shelter from their guns for the time being.
"Reaper, location of the armory? If anything, that weapon is going to be in there." He asked of his partner with a cursory glance over to the masked villain.

Julen's expression had gone from angry to VERY angry and concerned over his well being, his spar with that young snake made him fully aware of her abilities but she had not even taken a second glance at the shield made of light, did she not remember him? No that couldn't be it, looking back on their conversation after the spar Julen did mention some family things of him having some brothers and his fib about how he couldn't make other weapons but a scythe...did she think it's a sibling or that Julen was someone else? Oh well he would try not to think about it too much, if it became an issue later on it wouldn't be an issue a scythe couldn't take care of.
He managed to stand in the way of Tetsu and Elise's line of sight of thunder making it clear that he would be in their way should they want to fight. It seems like the snake had a charmer and an owner who wrangled her back into her role as a shield..? She didnt make shields...could she?. he stayed quiet since if he spoke it would be a give away to who his true identity and to be honest he viewed them all as trash who weren't worth speaking to aside from tetsu. She was rash he gave her that but Julen lacked empathy in general so he did not care for what his father figure did to hurt these individuals, they probably got in his way and deserved it in his own twisted mind. Once tetsu gave up on attacking thunder he would lower his shield a tiny bit but readjust the hoodie on his head to hide his hair. he'd be a fool to cancel his shield, heroes were people he could not trust and he was not going to start now..it was only a matter of time until they'd turn their backs on the deal they made and try to capture them like normal.
When the moved towards the tent Thunder had asked Julen for the location of the armory and since he had an encounter there with maxi he remembered the layout of the camp pretty well since he visited every area except the rescue and logistics area so he pointed towards their goal and spoke only one word "Dort." he spoke in German, he had picked up German on the side as a hobby since he loved their culture and was fairly adept at speaking it however some of a Japanese accent did slip through since it was not his first language. He got close to thunder and whispered into his ear "Should we let them go in front? They're gonna turn on us first chance they get." he said to thunder
Regardless of who went first the armory had a door that was seemingly sealed tight. He tried to open it himself but it proved to not budge even an inch and it would seem the group had to use other methods to get in. Julen was stuck, normally he could try smashing it open with a hammer or slice a door with his scythe...but.. a shield was kind of redundant and he didn't want to let the heroes know he could switch weapons, he'd wait to see what they were gonna do first to see if his hand would be forced.
OOC: Dort translates to "there" should any character have IC knowledge of basic german
Julen basically keeps himself between tetsu and elise and arata and thunder to make sure they dont get to his father
He pulls the hood over his head to conceal his face

Each strike into the discriminatory soldier's hand and face sent a rush through Tetsuko, even though every hit was only for the sake of dispatching him before he could do any more harm. It was frightening, she knew exactly what damage she was doing, and she didn't care. Something deep and dark on her reveled in it, as the iron that was her own body struck the man, her very essence making sure that the man couldn't hurt an innocent life again. Yet, she couldn't bring herself to do anything more once she knocked him out, the grounded part of the swordswoman keeping her from using her blade excessively. Part of her felt sickened, her stomach turning, as she realized what she'd really thought if doing in that moment of rage. It was just another physical response from her mental turmoil.
Tetsuko told herself that the soldier had it all coming, and genuinely believed it. He had many choices to make, many of which didn't necessitate him viewing them as demons to satisfy his own delusions and envy, that didn't involve him lashing out in anger against those who had made no attempt to harm him so viciously. Tetsuko would later insist this was entirely different to the situation with Thunder Shock, where she had wasted no time charging forth to put a knife in the man's gut.
A red haze over her eyes told her this was right. That to cut down a demon was the duty of a righteous swordsman, and she felt immovable in that belief. This was the man who'd killed Elise's parents. Good, honest people, doctors who'd only ever saved lives, and they suffered so. He would suffer too, if Tetsuko had anything to say about it. These thoughts were not fleshed out, and were only the instinct that urged her forward... Until a pair of hands stopped the Shindou girl before she could get close.
Wild eyes darted around to the educator, looking at him with confusion and fury. As Tetsuko mind caught up with her body, she still couldn't make sense of what he was saying. Cooperate with them? What the hell? Wasn't he a Hero? What kind of Hero... There had to be a way to survive without letting this scum escape. Even if Arata's foolishly optimistic belief that they would really cooperate was true, they'd still be helping a psychopath get back out into the world he'd wound more. Even as the teacher tried to use logic, Tetsuko wasn't seeing it. What was logical about freeing the murderer of Elise's parents?. After Arata finished speaking, Tetsu was only thinking about how to get past his hands. It was Elise that finally got through to her.
Tetsuko was stunned at first, wondering what she was saying. Taint her? All she was doing was... Cutting down an evil man. She didn't... Understand Elise's words, all she knew was that she wanted a shield by her side again... No, that was it. In this situation, Elise's survival was put at risk by forgoing the safest option... Shit. Tetsuko knew she wasn't a goddamn shield, she was useless in that regard. That's what the voice kept telling her. Yet, if Elise needed to direct that blade... She had to follow... Tetsuko's rage was crammed internally, threatening to break through, but contained for now. "Alright..." Tetsuko seethed, turning her bloodthirsty glare toward Thunder and the comrade she now noticed, not daring to let go of the knife in her hand.
Eyes. Throat. Stomach. Limbs. Torso. She kept glancing at all those points.
Thunder continued to taunt them, Tetsuko scowling at his offer to join their clan, joking though it may have been. There was so much she wanted to bark at him, but Elise's desperation had embedded such a fear in the swordswoman. That her actions might not be the ones that let Elise get out of here safely. The abhorrent scum continued to so smugly request their cooperation, describing the things he'd been subjected to. Tetsuko didn't feel an ounce of pity, but what he described was indeed potentially useful... He seemed quite proud of his insult towards Elise, but all the Shindou girl could do was scoff audibly at his dumb comment. Villainy really was the path of fools...
While remaining vigilant of the villains present, Tetsuko then heard Elise utter something loudly... An oath. Glancing over, she saw that Elise was saving the life of the man Thunder Shock had attacked, much to Tetsuko's continued surprise. Though confused, Tetsuko remained on guard as Elise made things more clear. It was... Interesting,to say the least. Yet, what better way was there to spite and humiliate the man than save his life with the gifts he abhorred?
Not to mention the defiant insult it was to Thunder Shock. "So it didn't kill him... I'm not suprised the lightning didn't kill him. It can't even chase away shadows."[/color] Tetsuko uttered coldly, alluding to the fight that Thunder Shock had lost while under the eyes of everyone. She didn't even look his way as she gave the insult, letting the truth sink it in for her. As they finally began moving on, Tetsuko remained watchful of the other men, Thunder Shock and his lackey, whose to Quirk was oddly familiar, as she followed Elise to the door, nodding at the girl's suggestion...
It wasn't something Tetsuko had actually tried before, but she did consider if it was possible. Theoretically, it was, but only now would she get to find out for sure. Placing a hand over the lock, iron would sprout into it from her palm, flowing out within the lock as she shaped it, trying to feel for resistance as she formed a mold of the key that would put all the pins in place, feeling resistance as she turned to make certain it worked. If this technique of hers was unsuccessful, she'd simply try and sprout a very thin blade through the lock and turn the cylinder like with a lockpick.
Meanwhile, she watched the villains out of the corner of her eye, still feeling hate and disgust just at the thought of working with them. This was all for Elise's sake, however. And Tetsuko knew that if the Eisenberg girl turned her gun on Thunder Shock... It was the Shindou Girl who had to deal the killing blow... To spare Elise the pain of taking another life, if she could help it. Yet, it remained to be seen if things would come to that...

With the situation diffused for now, Arata retracted his quirk entirely while audibly sighing. Why on earth did it have to be this collection of people? He felt like he was standing in the middle between two different sides. Oh, wait, he physically was standing in the middle, looking from his students to the two villains. Arata simply held up a hand, with only his index finger raised while pointing it at Thunder Shock, turning his attention to his students. "Don't let him get to you, alright? I'll keep a watch while you get the door open."
He took in the information about how they were siphoning Thunder SHock's electrical power. It made him think for a moment. Back to the size of the different guns they already dealt with. And make a quick analogy. "Right, they siphoned off how much power? And how big is the armory? I don't think they were powering one single big gun. But, I could be wrong. There's no indication of a large battery like weapon with an external power source. And, if there were, I don't think they would have the gall to have the air support so close to the base. I'm airing on the side of caution." He spoke while clutching his chin in thought, his gaze cast more at the ground, but every two seconds he glanced up at the red haired villain and his older counterpart.
"I say the plan is to get as heavy as we can carry without encumbering our speed, and rigging the rest of the place to burn. If they can't get their weapons or tech, they can't reload or reinforce. And we have a better chance of getting out of here. We have our quirks and some weapons, that way we can fend for ourselves better while they will have a limited number of resources. Plus, I don't want to run the risk of them taking any of the stuff they have in here and gunning down anyone else. Are we all in agreement?" He asked the four of them, wanting to confirm that everyone else agreed with his plan to ruin the enemy's supplies and weapons.

The sacred duty of a physician to his patient: to cure their ailments without regard for his creed, ethnicity or opinions, no matter how unsavory. Elise von Eisenberg would have made her father proud as she upheld the Hippocratic oath, going so far as to do CPR on their former enemy. She would feel the ribs crack under her hands as she pushed down -- CPR was designed to save lives, not ribs -- and after forcing air down his lungs for the third time, Elise’s quirk the man finally woke up with a gasp. He was hurt; his right hand was mangled, his left in a not much better state and his face a bloody mess, but he was alive, if barely so.
Meanwhile, the key Tetsuko made with her quirk, her back under the watchful surveillance of her handy teacher, fit the lock almost perfectly. It only needed to be jammed a little for the pins to lock in the proper position and the tumbler to rotate, the stout resistance of the closed lock giving way to the satisfyingly smooth turning of the key.
The coast was clear if they wanted to just push the handle and enter the armory, but the recently resurrected soldier might now pose a new problem of moral order. The Hippocratic Oath said that a physician must first do no harm, “primum non nocere,” but it said nothing about leaving an injured patient behind in the middle of a war zone. The soldier was looking at Elise with haggard eyes, too short of breath to say anything. Hate radiated from his eyes still, but it was now mated with confusion and disbelief. Professionals soldiers probably wouldn’t go out of their way to attack a downed opponent, but the risk was present anyway, not to mention there might be further complications to his condition.
No matter what their decision would be, the door was unlocked and the way forward clear. If they would go inside, they would stumble upon a rather interesting scene.
The door opened on a corridor connecting various shooting ranges to the main storage room. The door to the main storage room was half-open, and inside was the chair to which Yoshida-san was tied to. One of the soldiers laid nonchalantly with his back resting against a large crate labelled “AP shells”. Yoshida, the engineer, was tied against a wall, and next to him on the wall was the imprint of a fist.
“That’s coming out of your pay, you know,” joked the first soldier. He brought his lighter up to his cigarette with a mechanical whirr. “Screw that. I’ll say it’s a quirker. Rat me out and you die,” answered the second one -- the one who left that imprint on the wall -- with a tone that laid somewhere between a threat and a joke. The first soldier simply laughed for an answer. The frontier between a joke and a death threat blurred for high-level special forces operatives.
Still very much and still very understandably scared shitless, Yoshida tried cutting in. “I told you, I got lost while trying to esca--” “BULLSHIT!” roared the wall-puncher as he punched the same spot, deepening the cracks. Yoshida yelped again. He was not a courageous man, and the pitch of his fear-stricken voice certainly didn’t help present him as such. “You were running the other way. Either you’re really fucking stupid, or you’re hiding something. We got time while we top-up anyway.” An eagle eye might notice the cables going from the small of their exoskeleton-clad backs and connecting to a large alternator unit laid against the wall. It looked high-tech, brand-new and thoroughly out of place among the more utilitarian styled military equipment. There was only one window laying high from which the room could be seen, and from that angle only the soldier laying against the crate could be seen, while Yoshhida and the others were hidden right below th window.
The colonel who organized the attack was a little shrewder than the rest of his troops, it appeared. Knowing the helicopters would drive quirkers to the armory in hopes of finding a way to take them down, he posted his best soldiers to guard it. No doubt Thunder Shock would find his way here eventually if the rumors of corruption were true. That was something he’d have to deal with once he got control of the army. They just needed to win this battle first.
And he had planned with this objective in mind. The new Type-71 exoskeleton prototypes had been delivered the week before, and with data from the sanctioned fighting organized within the base, they had been calibrated perfectly and would see their first real-world use. Their biggest drawback -- the insane electricity consumption that required the user be tethered to a cable -- was gone thanks to the readily available source of high-voltage electricity they found in the villain. With the latest battery tech and their cutting-edge alternator and storage unit, the users could carry enough energy with them for a fight. At the first sign of danger, they would disconnect themselves from the alternator and show their newfound superhuman strength and agility while letting their suits run on the emergency internal batteries.
They couldn’t use firearms like usual -- the repeated recoil messed with the servomotors when they fired -- but they had military discipline and fighting experience they could count on, as well as the superheated knife blades which came lodged in the suit’s hip compartment and could cut through stone like butter. Hopefully, that would be enough to contain the quirkers before they ran out of juice.
Hopefully.

"Destroying the armory, while sounding logical would just cause too much complications, everyone would know we're nearby and we'd be swarmed by troops then..." Elise commented on Arata's plan.
As the man regained consciousness Elise gestured lightly with a hand to her lips, as if to tell him to remain quiet. "I might be a Quirker, but before that I am a human who studied to be a doctor, I can promise you that as long as you cease your hostility you will survive. Likewise, your colleagues are merely unconscious. We want to prevent as many casualties as possible." Elise explained as she pulled out a tissue and wiped some of the blood from his face so he could hopefully see somewhat properly again.
"Let's see what the drone spotted..."
Muttering under her breath Elise watched through the camera of the drone, spotting a most peculiar sight: a soldier was resting against a crate full of Armor-Piercing shells. However, what was quite unusual was that the man was wearing some sort of exoskeleton that had a cable attached to it. Rising onto her feet the girl raised a hand to her chin, seemingly pondering about something for a moment.
"The shells could possibly..." Muttering under her breath she turned toward Tetsuko and Arata as her lover had just finished unlocking the door to the armory, giving the girl the opportunity to address the group. "There are people inside the armory, at least one soldier wearing some sort of exoskeleton. We can assume from his equipment that he likely is a hostile force. I'm going to make my drone sneak into the main storage to scout ahead, but there is something else I need to discuss."
As she recalled the drone and made it slip inside the machine continued on the ground, riding instead of flying to ensure the sound it made was at a minimum. Meanwhile, as it entered the corridor she continued to address the group. "I spotted a crate with Armor-Piercing shells, With the right weapon we could likely destroy the helicopter."
As she held the controller of her drone the girl stepped beside her lover and the teacher of their class and turned to face Thunder Shock and Julen.
"Okay, my drone is about to enter the storage-room." Musing those words the burgundy-haired lass watched the drone enter the room, swiftly driving behind the cover of some nearby crates and while she kept an eye on the camera she watched with baited breath.
"Seems they got some sort of cables running from their exoskeletons, might be connected to a charging unit. Whatever the case, expect them to be different from the soldiers we faced earlier." But it was at that time her drone spotted the aforementioned unit against the wall, making her start to mutter softly underneath her breath while the drone peeked around the corner and...
"Wait, is that... That's Yoshida-san?"
Spotting the restrained engineer Elise tried to think of an idea on how to proceed. Judging from his fearful reaction Yoshida was clearly no ally to those armored soldiers, and yet an engineer familiar with the area might be just what they needed! "Okay, there are two soldiers inside the room and a hostage."
Turning her gaze at Thunder Shock she spoke, her tone growing colder once more. "Thunder Shock... your lightning, is it positive and negatively charged? Whatever the case, you get to enjoy using it in that way you love so much. There is an alternator unit against the wall, if you can reach it with your lightning before anyone realizes you're there, you could possibly overcharge their suits and disable them. Worst case, use that Schoßhund of yours to cover your back and keep one of them busy."
Having heard the bodyguard of Thunder Shock's German words earlier she was sure her taunt would be recognized. "Meanwhile we three will deal with the hostage and the other soldier."
She approached the trio and whispered softly. "Tetsu, can you help me rescue Yoshida-san? Your Quirk will make the removal of his restrains the easiest. Meanwhile Arata-sensei, can you use your quirk to distract the soldier if Thunder Shock doesn't reach the unit? Considering we don't know the abilities of that suit I worry about a direct engagement, so for the time being you might be our safest means to deal with them. I'll ask Yoshida-san if there is any Armor-Piercing rifles inside the armory, if I can get my hands on one we might have an easier time dealing with them."
She paused for a moment and her eyes narrowed slightly. "Also keep an eye on those villains, if either of them intends to betray us, I will not hesitate to shoot them."
With her intentions made clear she nodded at the group, seemingly waiting for things to be set into motion!

Thunder nodded towards Julen both when he motioned towards the armory, and again when he whispered about letting the Hero’s go first. Like hell he was going to have any of them at his back, Julen and Sato were possibly the only two he’d allow… and that included his own children. He had been about to speak up, furthering their plans whenever Tetsuko made a jab at him which only made the villain smirk and laugh.
“You saw exactly what I wanted you to see. I’m glad your naive mind took it all in!” He retorted, unphased by her attempt to point out his supposed loss to Darkshine. It was honestly anything but… People were doubting the Hero’s, the students judgement was becoming clouded with doubt and more we’re going back to the path of vigilantism. The fact that he had gotten ‘caught’ and was now breaking out, served only to further secure those emotions and lead them all astray. Of course, a simple student wouldn’t understand that, and that was perfectly fine with him. It amused him to watch these one’s struggle not only with his presence, but with the discord it caused.
“Cease hostility hunh. Huahah, if he isn’t brain dead those words might work. Good job kid, condemning him to a tortured life instead of a quick death. Kinda wish I had come up with this myself!” When Elise healed the felled soldier, he wanted nothing more than to fire at him again and see just who’s quirk would outlast the other, but instead chose to retort with something he felt would grind the little medics gears. He didn’t doubt the soldier suffered some serious nerve damage due to his lightning but he couldn’t be sure how severe. Judging by the fact he wasn’t a quirker though… it could very well have fried his brain, which only amused the man that much more.
He’d follow the group towards the armory, keeping the villains ahead of himself as he did so, stopping only whenever Elise mentioned using a drone to gather intel. He’d roll his eyes but not protest, she was useful after-all, and it wouldn’t do for him to let his pride get in the way of a successful escape. He waited for Elise’ recap of the internal situation, listening to every word closely for any hint of treachery… However, when she deigned to give him orders Thundershock would just scoff at her and stepped forward, forcing his way passed the Hero’s with a firm step.
“They aren’t stupid enough that they would fall for a surprise attack when they know I’m here. Get out of the way and let me show you how this shit is done. Reaper.” He added in Julen’s Villain persona at the end of his sentence, indicating that he once more wanted the boy at his side. Without waiting for him, and without following Elise’s plan, fully, he grabbed hold of the door of the armory and swung it open roughly. The door would no doubt cause a large BANG as it hit the wall, but as Thunder stepped foot into the room, a massive discharge of electricity was shot towards the power supply that Elise had pointed out moments ago, hoping to disable the suit rather than damage it.
It interested him to be honest… a suit powered by his quirk? Just what could this thing do? If it proved to be useful, he might just pry this bastards corpse out of it and take it as his own…
“I hope you haven’t been waiting long~!”

Julen was rather annoyed with Elise telling him what to do, regardless of what she told him to do he'd was going to ignore her and just focus on what Thunder was going to ask of him. He didnt take the german word as an insult at all, he knew his role in the clan was to be that of a lapdog and guardian so he took pride in it. " Ihr müsst noch mehr versuchen, mich zu ärgern, kleiner Fleck." he hissed at the young girl in a venomous tone, he was starting to hate Elise especially for how she tried to threaten Thunder's life so openly and easily, where was her morale code to not take a life? Well regardless Julen unstable personality was beginning to show since he actually spoke to Elise and showed how much he was hating her.
He ignored her and focused entirely on what Thunder was asking of him which was to support his rather noisy entrance, Julen wasted no time and switched to his scythe, at this point he didn't care if they figured out it was him, he needed to move quickly to disarm these opponents before they took them out instead. He rushed passed Thunder and immediately jumped who seemed to look like the leader of the pack with the power suit. He looked for a part of the suit that left his body exposed and swung the blade through that section in order to not break the suit but instead to break the user. Julen leaped back after the swing and switched to his bow and arrow and aimed 2 arrows at the exosuit hoping that he would cause some damage to the bag of flesh in it, he was weary however of this person. Seeing how his quirk barely affected some people like that strange bone girl in the combat area he wondered if she was a part of the army and that he would encounter her.
Hopefully if all went well Julen would move back to in front of thunder with his shield out, he knew he couldn't continue to change weapon so quickly because it would leave him open while it changed but he had to make use of them all or else they would end up like fried chicken and it would also make it harder for the enemies to predict what he would do. He turned his head for a brief moment to thunder, and began to speak "Can I go wild? I dont have much time left." Julen was waiting for Thunder to approve of Julen absolutely going berserk on the exosuit because he wanted to strike fear into the hearts of the heroes that accompanied them, it would certainly be an advantage later on if they knew exactly what he was capable of but time was running short on Julen's quirk. He would soon need to recharge and since they were inside it would take much longer and his only weapon then would be a gun he isnt trained very well with.

Working together with these villains was already proving problematic, but Tetsuko managed to reign in her desire to turn on them and throw away the key, despite numerous opportunities to strike. The lingering fear of acting in such a way that reduced Elise's safety was what kept Tetsuko stable for now, and as Arata had said, they couldn't let the villains get to them. The words of weak scum like them didn't have any weight that wasn't given to them by the listener. Tetsuko tried to keep herself reminded of that, difficult as it was.
Arata's plan to destroy their supplies might have had merit in a wartime situation, depleting enemy resources to force them closer to attrition, but as Elise had pointed out there were going to be some complications with such a thing. "Eli is right, we need to get out as quickly and quietly as we can. We draw too much attention, or spend too much time trying to destroy their gear..." Tetsuko didn't finish that thought, a conflict striking her internally. What were they even going to do after getting out? What the hell was even going on? Was this war, a battle, rogue agents? The Shindou girl took a few deep breaths to steady her growing anxieties, mentally reinforcing her priorities. She could worry about the future when it came. For now, she could worry about getting Elise out of there safely.
The Eisenberg girl herself managed the kindness to seek out other goals too, evident by her healing of the man they'd defeated. Looking down at his mangled hands and bloodied face, Tetsuko gulped down, something... Unsettling rising within her. Had she...? No, surely not. Nothing she'd done had been outside of what was necessary to protect the ones she cared about... She'd been acting with righteous intent. Her judgement was just. A number of similar phrases echoed in her head as she did her best to battle that rising discord in her heart.
Thunder's retort had Tetsuko unimpressed, realising already he wasn't the kind of man to accept defeat in spite of the facts present. "If you wanted me to see nothing more or less than a weak villain losing to a strong hero..." She uttered with contempt, holding her tongue from entertaining him further as she told herself to just ignore whatever it was he had to say. His words were utterly meaningless, just attempts to rile them up as Arata had said... It was hard for the rash swordswoman to actually heed that advice, but she at least managed not to throw another blade his way for the time being.
'This is for Elise...'
That single belief kept her blade pointed away from the villains. It was the only thing stopping her from seeing how much they talked with the edge of it against them. Elise's safety was a priority, and the young swordswoman's festering frustration and anger that rose from the somewhat successful attempts to get a rise out of her were contained by this single fact.
Turning her attention to nothing more than the task at hand, Tetsuko found her lock-picking attempt much more successful then she'd expected, as the lock released without too much struggle on her part. Guess I should use that more often... Lockpicking was definitely a useful skill, and Tetsuko's success with it was already causing the girl to wonder how much more useful it might be with the right training. But that was for another time.
Elise was finding use of her drone, scouting ahead and letting them know what awaited them within the armoury. As to be expected, there were more soldiers inside, apparently with exoskeletons? Tetsuko wasn't entirely familiar with the concept, aside from what she'd seen with Elise during their trips into the armoury section, but she knew that it was going to enhance the soldiers' physical capabilities. No matter. An exosuit couldn't make up for a gap in skill, and that was what Tetsuko would rely on.
There was a number of notable possibilities within the armoury, from AP ammo to the exploitable power source of the suits... Along with a hostage that Elise recognised. Tetsuko’s brow raised in concern at the news, realizing how tense this situation was going to be. They’d need to be even more careful than ever now…
The situation’s weight threatened to crush Tetsuko, limited only be her shock and consequent inability to comprehend just how serious this was. All she could really do was follow the orders of her lover, who seemed to have things much more under control on the outside. Elise established a clear and sensible plan of attack, having Thunder Shock put his lightning to good use to damage the suits’ power supply while the Heroes handled the hostage situation. One of the better qualities of this plan was that the villains were at most risk of getting hurt, at least in Tetsuko’s eyes.
A risk that became assured as Thunder Shock suddenly charged forward and swung the door open, an act of rebellion fit for a juvenile as he disregarded Elise’s plans under faulty logic. Given that there was the chance they could simply detach from the alternators if Thunder Shock decided to announce himself. ”Idiot… If they’re expecting you, they’ve planned for you!” No words could stop the reckless act, but as before, Tetsuko took solace in the fact that the villains rushing forward were the ones in most danger.
”Let’s stick to our plan, if they get shot it’s their problem first.” Tetsuko’s somewhat short-sighted sentiments were told to Arata and Elise before the Shindou girl rushed into the room if they were following behind, keeping in mind her given goal by Elise. Trusting Arata to distract the remaining soldier, Tetsuko would attempt to bypass him completely, and would run up to the wall while sprouting climbing blades from her hand.
She’d quickly traverse along the wall, trying to get around the fighting to free Yoshida as Elise had requested. Jumping from the wall once she was in position, Tetsuko wasted no time sprouting a blade in her hand, slicing at Yoshida’s restraints before turning around to face the Exosuits in a defensive position. Adrenaline pumping, the fight was inevitable now. ”If you know something that’ll help, say it!” Tetsuko shouted panickily at Yoshida, already anxious of the very real possibility that the soldiers in the Exosuits were still rearing and ready to fight.

The moment Thunder burst the door open, chaos ensued, though perhaps not in the way the ragtag band of villains and students who were attacking the soldiers expected.
Their first mistake was to fire at the alternator with Thunder Shock’s quirk. It seemed logical, at first: overload the alternator and fry the suits in the process. Easy peasy, no problem, gg no re. Tie up the men inside, kill them, make them dance in their underwear. What could a quirkless person do against the full might of a quirk as fearsome as Thunder’s?
Turns out not much if you are alone. But all through history, humans had always defeated stronger, faster and tougher beast than themselves through cooperation and the development of advanced tools long before shitting thunder became a thing. And when it did, human technology caught up.
The discharge of electricity did fry the fuses inside the alternator, rendering it useless, but the electricity traveled along the specially made cables and into the suit's batteries. The charge shot up to 112%. Those were weapons made specifically to capture Thunder Shock, after all, and while a putting a Faraday cage around the exos would have been too unwieldy, they could take a shock or two before getting disabled.
The soldiers were a little surprised, but not by much. They were special forces professionals trained to suppress their startle reflexes. They never walked into enemy territory without being on their guard, so while an ambush right now was a little unexpected, the duo was always expecting one. Sawada, the smoker, threw his half-smoked cigarette on the ground and crushed it under his boot with a smile. “Fun’s starting, I see,” he said.
Kishida was the wall puncher. He spun on his heels as the door swung to face the party with a smile of his own. Seeing the battery indicator rise in the bottom left corner of his HUD widened it. “Wrong target, villain!” he declared before he went for Thunder.
He was interrupted by Julen. The hooded redhead reaper dressed himself and an imposing scythe of crimson light across the soldier’s path, jumping on him with a slash of his weapon. He aimed for the vital areas with a competent swing, but before it could reach him and cut, Kishida effortlessly leaped to the side to avoid it. He didn’t knew how the weapon worked, but it sure looked dangerous to him either way; and while it wouldn’t have killed him, the pain and more importantly the damage to the exoskeleton which allowed such movement would spell trouble.
“Tch,” muttered Kishida. This reaper guy was already reshaping his scythe into a bow for another attack on his mate. The elite soldier’s answer was to leap to his side and slash at the side of Julen’s ribs without mercy with his very real titanium knife blade before he could complete his attack. His first attack completed, he went for Thunder next with the smile from earlier back on his lips and a straight dash aiming to feint an slice at the throat, the go for the legs with a sweep kick. The exoskeleton allowed him to move at the speed and strength of top athletes effortlessly, without breaking a sweat, and his attacks were dealt with the precision and experience of a professional soldier.
On the other side of things, Sawada was left completely unmarked. He spied Tetsuko sneaking around by attempting to run on the wall. Seizing the opportunity while his opponent was unbalanced, he dashed for her aimed a good old rugby tackle with the armored shoulder pad. His speed and strength was every bit as unreal as Kishida, and the girl would need to defend against this attack first. The rescue of Yoshida, still tied to his chair and now crying -- he certainly wasn’t the picture of bravery -- would have to be postponed, and his vulnerability kept in mind by all fighters.
Only Elise and Arata were left to enter the room. They would have a good window to come to the aid of Tetsuko or the villains, and a spot from which they would have an excellent picture of exactly why their allies, tied together by heart, duty or circumstance badly needed the help. Those weren’t opponents that could be taken on alone.
Meanwhile, the soldier left outside stared at nothing. He was feeling fuzzy.
