these rapid eyes will keep on moving After Lani pointed out the signs, it seemed as thing things were popping of rather quickly. People were starting to meet up and the group was getting closer together. Through yells and suggestions, they were making it out. However, the code on the signs was still a problem. No one really knows how to read morse code all that well. It wasn't something a civilian could really understand, but some int he group could make out the letters. In fact, one of them made out four of the letters in a single word. "Ight" seemed to be it. But if they were going to use these signs for whatever purpose they had, teaching everyone morse code was just not going to work. Lani took a moment to feel around the sign some more and thought about it for a few moments. And in doing so, an idea came to mind. They didn't really have to read the whole thing. There was a reason the signs were here and a reason they were in morse code. They needed to be read in the dark. But if that was a natural part of the ship that wouldn't make sense. They were spaced too evenly apart go just be there by mistake and if it was expected to be read by the blind it would have been in braille instead. They were there for them.
In fact, it was an important detail because the group only needed one thing right now, a sense of direction. And of all the words that could end with "ight" the words right and light would have been their best tools. But just saying light wouldn't make any sense. Of course, they needed light. But right was different, it was a direction. Going off this line of thought, She felt the sign near here. It was odd. She had four letters instead of the five that would spell out right. The dashes and dots were a little difficult to separate from each other, but she could feel them out enough to tell where the spaces between each letter were supposed to be. It wasn't right, but the four-letter word that would go with it was left. Even the last dash was the same, so they both ended in the letter T. That was it. They had directions and just in time. The water was now up to their knees and those unfamiliar with water were sure to become nervous.
In all honesty, Lani was worried too. However, she knew better than to let it get to her just yet, her mother made sure of that. There was still time before she could go into panic mode and the water wasn't high enough to be in her way too much. But now that the code was figured out they could make a beeline for the exit. "Don't worry about trying to read it." She yelled out to the others. "Just separate what would be the letters and count them." She started to move in the direction the signs told her to move as she spoke. "Five letters for right, four for left and six for forward. That's what I've seen so far!" As she spoke, she hit the six letter sign, which prompted her to say just that. And with those instructions, she followed the signs to what should have been the exit provided to them. Hopefully, that was all that was in their way and if all went well, within the next minute everyone could be free to move to the next floor. If nothing was in the way, that would be where Lani would be. 608 | @tagged | notes ulla

As she was nearing Voice 1 that was Lani. Soon she was gonna have human contact, but then a familiar voice rang in her ear. She looked and saw Kanna of all people "What the hell are y-" she started to speak but shook her head "Nevermind that. There's another person just ahead. She's close!" Meiko said as she pointed in Lani's direction. Kanna also pointed in a direction. Meiko who wasnt smart didnt know what to do, she bit her lip. She couldnt be alone, she had to take who she can
"We gotta go up and get diving gear! Pronto!" she urged the girl as she felt they were going way too slow. She felt the water rise which just made her more antsy. But Kanna seemed opposite, she was like super cool. Meiko decided to risk it and follow Kanna's orders. She seemed like she knew what she was doing so she decided to follow the girls direction. As she went with Kanna she made sure to urge the girl to hurry up her pace, because at this point the water was starting to get to her knees
Meiko just noticed there was another girl with Kanna, but she had no time for chatty times. The girl trio needed to get their breathing gear right away.

Kaling could feel the cold water rising to his knees, navigating through the steel corridors of the ship was getting harder with each second that passed. To feel his legs being immersed in that cold water didn’t only make him uncomfortable, but gave him a sense of urgency. While he was able to discover one of the words engraved into the signs, thanks to the help of others, they didn’t have the time to stop and keep guessing the others letters. Fortunately for him, someone else managed to think of a better idea, the didn’t really need to read the letters as the person said, they only needed to know the numbers of letters, since each word had a different letter count. That would save valuable time for him and the others. -Great idea! Everyone, just follow her instructions and let’s meet up at the exit! - “Or at least I hope so”, Kaling thought to himself, they might have figured out the signs, but who knows what still waited for them? If this was just the first floor, what kind of challenges would wait them in the next one?
The boy tried to keep those questions out of his mind for a moment, while he dashed through the hallways, always looking for the signs to give him his next direction, but then another thought crossed his head, he would’ve never have discovered how to navigate those signs in time, but with everyone solving a small fraction, step by step, they had the information that could lead them of this situation. Even though they all had quirks, it wasn’t their powers that were helping them get out of this hard situation, it was their capacity of adapting and cooperating in an emergency situation like this one. - If we want to get out of here, we will need to organize ourselves better… Or we might run out of time… - Kaling said to himself silently, while he tried to make his way to the possible exit.

| ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ Well, that was one obstacle less, she turned to look around shortly before wiggling herself through the whole of the door and moving on to the next. The water was getting higher and she waited for Kanna to show her the way by the memory of the route. She should have considered that albeit Rowan doubted she would have remembered it correctly anyway so it was better that Kanna was here and they found each other rather soon.
Right before her nose another door slammed shut and she let out another yell and cursed shortly under her breath at herself, "Damn coward." She placed her hand for a second time at the door to let it explode but now nothing happened. "Huh?" She stared at just a burned black spot on the door. With big golden eyes, she stared at Kanna, "I can't get it to break." What was the difference with the last door? She did not plan to try, as she had no idea who the third girl was or so she thought about what to do. As she was of no use and would have to either go back or let the other two figure it out, she decided when a decision was made that she would run back to the previous door, not to inspect however that would be a great idea but also to yell for the others to come this way. She would stay close, she had no other option now being locked between the closed door and the one she had broken. "If you find a door with a hole, go through that, I made it, it's the right direction according to the signs." She yelled through it, no intention to climb through it again, she also couldn't see what was wrong with the door and hurried back to Kanna and the other girl to see if they got a solution already.
While doing so, she felt the buzz of her phone and took it out of her pocket, a message from Rin? Another buzz, but she was still looking at her phone, shortly looking up at Kanna and Meiko. She put her phone back after reading Elise her text. She might need to say something but the problem would be if there were cameras, what if they heard her and the military was really up to something shady, "Kanna, when you have time, you should read the text messages we just got." She said as softly as she could, now that she got back to the other two. |

The moment Rowan failed at blasting through the door though, Kanna didn't wait. Whether that other door was weaker or whether her classmate simply couldn't muster that kind of power twice in a row was of no consequence, Kanna immediately rushed over to her side to try her hand. She didn't even push her aside, while Rowan looked over the center of the door, the blonde examined the edges. Since the start of the exam, the game had already changed, and when Meiko mentioned someone else nearby, the hacker halted: "Close huh...", Kanna clearly weighed her options. She had two people with her and a clear path to the exit. That door might be hard for Rowan to burn through, but just as easily as someone could close it remotely, it could also be similarly opened. If this had been a mostly legitimate exam - as Kanna assumed at the start - she'd have defenitely pressed forth, but now that the military had shown their true colors, the blonde felt a lingering connection to the fellow Quirkers she'd been locked in here with, "Fine. Just this once; we'll get that other girl and then we get back here. Five minutes.", raising her open palm with outstretched fingers, Kanna narrowed her eyes, "We spend any longer than that looking for her, and we're gonna have ourselves to worry about." With this in mind, Kanna headed off in the direction pointed by Meiko, urging the two after her. First off, memorizing the path. Visual memory alone could go a long way, but in repetitive pathways like this, actually recalling the directions really made the difference. "Right... Left... Another left." Now that she'd strayed off the beaten path, Kanna actually had a need for the morse code she dismissed earlier. Though she never actually had a need for morse code, information was her specialty. Rowan mentioned reading Rin's messages which implied some manner of signal... As if the presence of an operator controlling everything from afar wasn't evidence enough: "Yeah, I saw 'em...", replied Kanna, not actually turning to look at the phone, but narrowing her eyes. An onlooker might wonder if the blonde hadn't simply dismissed Rowan's words, but hopefully the raven haired girl knew better. Kanna could communicate with her phone directly without the need to look at it or even swipe the screen, so she'd seen those messages a good while back; hell, she'd even been replying to them, "Our objective doesn't change though, we gotta get the hell out of here... Alive." With this, she banged on the wall once more with her idle hand, moving as fast as the chilly water around her legs allowed. With one hand busy exchanging information with her phone, she actually resorted to shouting for once: "THIS WAY!!", she cried out, calling out to the other girl (Lani), hoping to meet up with her before turning to follow the signs to the exit... Depending on which way seemed closer, she'd either follow the signs to the exit - using her phone to translate them - or proceed to the path she recalled and try to open that steel door. Though unable to actually locate the right path through the maze, her info on the vessel and GPS locator would at least hint to how close to the exit she'd gotten, that way using her Quirk for navigation.
