It was unusual for Ground Alpha to be reserved not for the sake of a class, but for a student in particular, but on this particular day, there was quite a special reason why the training ground was booked for her. To those who would have been there, they would likely have thought the training ground of the hero academy had been replaced with the training grounds of the military. Inside the training ground large green-colored dummies were sliding along rails spread all over the training ground, those dummies, in particular, resembled security guards, simply said they were targets equipped with a particularly useful gadget, a camera which was situated on their head, and would move to represent the visual line of sight of a person, simply said if the participant of this exercise was seen by the camera, a loud beeping noise would resound through the area and that was a signal that the exercise was over. In the end, for someone like her being spotted was often the same as a 'game over', and as such, it was of importance for her to learn to remain hidden and stealthy. The other noteworthy presence came in the form of the red target dummies, which were considered the targets for her exercise.
As one might have expected the green dummies were made to move in such a way that getting to the targets wouldn't be easy at all, and considering her training they wouldn't be simple shots to make either. The last and perhaps more curious sight was the small combat drone hovering above the battlefield. However, where was the student this exercise was designed for? The answer was simple: she was at the starting point. The burgundy-haired lass was armed with the special case that contained her customized sniper rifle, the lock already unlocked for this particular exercise. Considering this was a preparation for the upcoming exercise on the school grounds it was only natural that one would want to ensure that she could perform it safely. Taking a deep breath as she opened the case the 'Freyja' was clearly still as pristine in state as usual, and as she grasped the rifle Elise couldn't help but briefly close her eyes.
Only those who have a reason to fight can truly become strong.
It were words once spoken by her father when she talked to him about her desire to learn swordsmanship to grow closer to Tetsuko. Back then he had warned her that fighting often caused strife and suffering, and that one didn't only need to be strong of body, but also of heart if they truly wanted to fight someone. Back then she obviously didn't understand his words properly, in the end, wasn't strength all you needed to be able to fight? No, after the recent events Elise knew that one required a reason if they wanted to be strong, even someone as vile as Thunder Shock had a reason to fight: even if his reason was merely to inflict suffering upon others. However, what reason did the burgundy-haired lass had to fight for? As the starting signal was given she rushed into the training ground, the noise of the approaching guard dummy swiftly making her seek the concealment behind several crates as she noticed from amidst a slit of two crates that a dummy was at the opposite side of the small plaza she was at. Of course, it was a perfect opportunity for her to fire at, and readying her sniper the Eisenberg shot her first target, and upon the passing of the guard, she swiftly ran into a nearby alley toward the next dummy highlighted by her drone.
Meanwhile Elise couldn't help but find herself conflicted by the earlier question that plagued her mind. What reason did she have to fight? Obviously she wanted to shout with clear conviction that she was fighting to protect Tetsuko, that she wanted to become strong to keep her loved one safe, and yet in the back of her mind she couldn't shake off the lingering doubt, that part which made her usual gentle smile turn into an almost sadistic smirk as she climbed on top of a small platform and took aim at a second target dummy, imagining it as if it was the very same man that had taken her parents from her: the villanous Thunder Shock.
Without a moment of hesitation or regret, she pulled the trigger, shooting it in the head as she resumed along the trajectory she had calculated as being optimal for her 'mission'. Indeed, deep inside her was a side of her, a part that felt there was an additional reason she was seeking strength. Indeed, while there was no doubt that Elise von Eisenberg was seeking strength to protect her beloved Tetsuko, there was also a part that believed she was seeking power to kill, to kill villains like Thunder Shock and keep them from making more victims. Even the words spoken by Akio that day did little to dismiss her belief that some villains were better slain than judged. Indeed, Thunder Shock had never granted his victims mercy, so why should the law grant him a chance to defend himself? The final target dummy was near one of the entrances to the training ground, a large plaza where two green colored dummies were patrolling the outer perimeter and a single red dummy as seated at a fountain. Approaching it would be foolish, but she had found a good point to snipe it from, in the end, there was a small balcony near one of the makeshift buildings, high enough for her to take a shot if she timed her shot well enough.
Sneaking her way into the building she was waiting just for the guard dummy to pass her line of sight before she took aim when to her surprise she found out that the dummy, which was in her sights wasn't alone! No, a slightly familiar-looking student was standing near the dummy, and for a moment Elise felt an uncomfortable sensation. The dummy was within her sight, a simple squeeze of the trigger and she could kill it, and yet an unexpected response from the student could endanger him... Could she permit herself a success at the risk of his safety? Raising a hand to the earpiece she sighed softly and mumbled under her breath. "Abort the training exercise..." For a moment she couldn't help but scowl as if the boy was the reason she had failed to get her kill, but soon as the green dummies ceased moving the girl approached the balcony and called out to the teenager.
"What are you doing here? I thought sensei had made sure to inform the other students that the training ground was off-limits during this exercise? If I wasn't careful you might have gotten severely injured..."

Dreams breathe life into men. The stars... I'll reach them.
Von Eisenberg...
As Ryuusei Igarashi made his way to the Ground Alpha training ground of the Yuuei School he thought of the name of the girl he was about to meet, an uncommon one to be heard on japanese soil. I've heard that name before...That was right. Despite the rarity of such name, Ryuusei recognized it. It was a name that called his attention at the Tokyo Hospital. Having spent so much time there - whether alongside Yaso at her room or alone at the hallways - Ryuu had been able to meet most of the medical staff of the hospital, chatting casually with some and even befriending others. Despite not being one to talk much, making conversation with doctors and nurses was easy due to the amount of respect that Ryuu had for them. It was from one of those casual conversations that the youngest of the Igarashi household recognized the name. Yes, that man at the hospital.A few months back the Von Eisenberg tag caught his attention and he spoke to the man who wore it. Ryuu asked him if he knew that, in Icelandic language, the word "Von" meant "Hope". Ryuu didn't recall what the man answered, but he knew that he had been nice to him. More recentely, Ryuusei had even composed a song on the piano that he named "Von". Due to the name being a foreign one, Ryuusei assumed that, taking probability into account, there was no way that two different "Von Eisenberg" families existed in Tokyo and, therefore, this Elise girl and the man from the hospital must be related to each other. However, he was oblivious to the fact that this man had been one of the mortal casualities of the Tokyo Hospital attack led by Thundershock. But why was Ryuusei on his way to meet Elise, a girl that he had never talked to or didn't even remembered seeing? The answer was Principal Kobayashi, the man that connected both Yuuei students. Ryuusei had been wanting to talk to the Principal and, hopefully, was also about to learn how to better handle a knife from him. According to Touma, also Elise had been taken under his wing - even if for a different kind of specialization. Having been given her location for that day, Ryuusei thought that it was probably for the best to meet the girl. Ryuusei was wearing his usual black earing and necklace, his hair let loose to freely dangle with the wind. As for clothing he had a red tanktop with some dark tape along his arms; his pants were beige and his shoes also black. Reaching his destination, the class 1-A Vice-President was surprised by what he saw. On the ground multiple dummies with cameras that moved by their own placed on the head of each mannequin. In the air, a drone that was flying around and seemingly observing the area. It's an improvement from the ones that Cian-sensei uses, Ryuu though refering to the mannequins. However, looking around the area, he couldn't see Elise anywhere. He was wondering what she was practicing until he heard it: a gunshot. It was soft, barely hearable in fact - just like a small whistle, a small cut through the wind. Maybe a silencer? Or maybe fake bullets? It had to be one of those. Elise couldn't be seen near any of the dummies so the weapon she was using was probably long-ranged. And long-ranged weapons normally don't make so little noise, especially if you are so close to the action as Ryuusei was. Well, doesn't really matter. Let's have some fun.He had to go meet Elise and she was inside that area, so Ryuusei thought that he could take the oportunity to test himself. He assumed that both cameras and drones were placed in order to track any movement, something that made even more sense by the fact that Elise was moving in a way to not be seen. Walking past such a scenario would be extremely easy if Ryuu used his Quirk, but that wasn't good enough... He wanted a little test. So, making use of his agility, he went forward and started moving in a way that neither dummies or drone could catch him. Timing, moving in silence and in cover, making the best of his knowledge and ability. A second gunshot was heard and Ryuusei still couldn't figure out where the shot came from. She's good, he thought. Without any kind of extraordinary effort, Ryuusei found himself in the middle of a plaza after avoiding some of the green mannequins that were controlling the outside perimeter. At the center of the plaza there was a fountain. At that fountain a red dummy was seated. I'm guessing the red ones are the targets. He approached the red doll and sat next to it while the camera pointed to another direction. If you're the target then she should be arriving here soon - he said out loud to the dummy - Damn, I'm spending too much time with Darren..., he finished, recalling the time at their Rescue Drill where Darren kept on talking with every single mannequin. Soon enough what Ryuusei expected to happen did happened and, from a balcony, Elise Von Eisenberg appeared. So she was moving inside the builidings, interesting. The girl had a soft voice, even if it appeared that she was holding back some anger towards Ryuusei for him having stopped her exercise. What took Ryuu's immediate attention was Elise's eyes: gold coloured, they shined even from that distance just like two gold coins inside a dark cave. However, Ryuusei was disappointed by the girl's action - or lack of. A Ryuusei pre-military camp wouldn't say a thing about it. Hell, a Ryuu pre-camp probably wouldn't have come to meet Elise in the first place or feel disappointed by what had happened. But this Ryuu... This one was slightly different. So, in his characteristic voice, he spoke in a slightly raised voice in order for the girl to hear him. You could have taken the shot - he paused - I wasn't in your line of sight, I was just next to the target. You should've taken the shot.
Getting up, he continued to talk. A sniper must feel only one thing when he shoots - he paused again, but for a shorter period of time than before - That thing is recoil. He smiled. Looking up at the girl, both hands on his pockets, he introduced himself. My name is Igarashi Ryuusei, from Class 1-A. Can you come down? The Principal told me you would be here. In fact, I wish to talk to you about him. And, just like that, Ryuusei and Elise were meeting for the first time. Ryuu had been thinking a lot about destiny and fate. For some reason, he was sure that this meeting would be an essential for the future he dreamt of. Notes: Ryuu and Elise mett! Also: Ryuu's outfit.Words: 1,159.Tags: Elise Von Eisenberg

Now that was unexpected... Hearing how the teenager told her she could have taken the shot at the dummy Elise blinked in confusion, one hand gently resting on the loop of the rifle while the other held the backside of the magazine, she could feel it, her frustration was starting to rise again as she felt the earlier annoyance at the disturbance of her exercise to stir once more. "You're not entirely wrong." Elise answered him, readjusting her grip on the weapon slightly while she continued her answer. "However, there were too many variables which could have gotten you into my line of sight. The sound of my gun firing from this close could have startled you and made you move unpredictably, or you could have inspected the dummy more closely, the chance my bullet would hit you was simply too high of a probability for me to take the shot."
Yet as he told her that a sniper should feel only one thing, which was the recoil of the weapon he or she wielded Elise shook her head lightly in return, and for a moment she felt that unfamiliar coldness return to her body. The soft features of her face, like the gaze of her eyes sharpened as she continued to speak, her tone growing colder by each word spoken. "A sniper shouldn't feel any emotion and think only about how to shoot their target as efficiently as possible, any other thoughts are excessive and unneeded when squeezing the trigger." Yet after that moment her features softened once more and she smiled softly at him. "So it's fortunate that I'm just a girl with a gun~" the lass answered him as she leaped over the railing, hopping down a few crates as she landed on the ground at the outskirts of the plaza.
Now she had a closer look at him, she recalled the teenage boy's face somewhat. It brought back a distant and rather unpleasant memory of the music night, of the boy who had been playing the piano that day. Shaking off the gloomy thoughts the lass addressed him with a clearly quieter and gentle tone than before. "Sure, let me just get Freyja back in her case." And with those words the lass gestured toward the combat drone who once the exercise had ended had descended and soon returned with what appeared to be a large case attached to it. While the burgundy-haired lass started to remove some of the parts of her rifle, carefully cleaning them she continued to address Ryuusei. "The A-course..." For a moment she couldn't help but pause in her motions, was this about the matter with Rin again? "What brings one of the A course to seek me out of all people?" Elise mused softly, yet with a light shake of her head she sighed gently and continued. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't be thinking you were here to talk about the matter involving Rin-chan..." The name that was uttered clearly carried a certain heaviness with it, her feelings of regret and sorrow briefly lingering as she finished tending to her rifle and closed the case and properly turned toward Ryuusei, a smile resurfacing on her lips.
"My name is Elise~ Elise von Eisenberg, then again I guess Tou--- I mean Kobayashi-sensei already told you my name." With the drone finally landing on top of the crate the slight noise of its rotar blades ceased at last, making the lass feel slightly oppressed by the tense silence that lingered in the air. "But what does bring you here Ryu-kun? I'm not certain if I know anything about sensei that he himself wouldn't be able to tell you himself."
Indeed, even if he was now acting as her legal guardian, Elise had to admit that she didn't pry too much into the man's personal life. After all, most of the time she spend alongside her beloved Tetsuko, and the times she did meet with Touma were usually spend talking about new techniques involving firearms, or sometimes about the specifics of certain weapons or even just simple chatter while eating a watermelon. Clearly, she didn't really intend to pry into the personal life of the man unless he wanted her to.
"Wait... Igarashi..." her expression softened for a moment as she spoke in a softer tone. "I recall hearing that name before from my parents. If I recall right one of my mother's patients had that family name. Are you Yaso-chan's brother?" She paused for a moment, feeling a familiar coldness and a numbing pain in her chest as she thought about the subject. "I remember my dad was working on trying to develop a treatment for your sister, Unfortunately..." She averted her gaze, her hands balling up into small fists as she felt her body shiver lightly. "Unfortunately it was a treatment he never was able to finish. I'm sorry Ryu-kun... Because Thunder Shock killed my father, he wasn't able to keep the promise he made to your family."
She still remembered her parents their creed, the reason behind their popularity as medical staff was that they considered each patient of immense importance, no matter their origins and as such they made a promise to each of them that they would do all in their might to help them become healthy again. "My mother is still in her comatose after the attack on Tokyo's hospital, but I'm sure they assigned a different doctor to Yaso-chan already." She finally turned her gaze back onto the teenager and inquired with a softness in her voice that clearly shown just how worried she was. "How is she doing by the way? I don't recall she had an appointment at the hospital that day, but I hope she is doing well."
She shook her head lightly, trying to banish the thoughts of her parents and asked with a weak smile. "Then again, I doubt you're here to talk about our families... What did you want to ask about sensei Ryu-kun?"

Dreams breathe life into men. The stars... I'll reach them.
The girl seemed to disagree about the fact that she should have indeed taken the shot, even if Ryuusei was close to her. Ryuusei replied back with the comment about the recoil. However, he couldn't help but wonder... A sniper that hesitates... were the words echoing on his head. In war there is no room for thinking about the "could've's" or the "what if's". No - in war you just do it, almost like a machine programmed to do just one thing to perfection. That was what almost everyone told him at the military camp. And they had point. You can't think about side casualities, about unwanted victims. The moment one allows the thought of the possible repercussions of his actions he fails to be the perfect machine. There is no room for errors. Doing it just because you have too, you need to, you want to. It was something that Ryuusei was beginning to believe more with each passing day. Part of Elise also seemed to understand feeling, but she was quick to dismisse such scenario with a throw-off sentence: "So it's fortunate that I'm just a girl with a gun"As she fell ono the ground level, Ryuusei was quick to reply, but with such a low tone that Elise probably didn't even hear it. Maybe that's the most dangerous of soldiers...She had named her weapon, it seemed like. It was also something common by what Ryuu had seen at the military camp. She place the weapon with care, just like the drone. Seeing that the flying robot was hers made Ryuusei even more confident. So she really didn't see me.However, it was the next words that came from Elise mouth that made Ryuu confused. Why would he have come to talk about Rin? Did Elise know her? Or did she know how much he liked her? Ryuusei didn't remember Elise from anywhere, so he didn't quite understand. He simply replied. N-No, don't worry about that.Even after the events at the Music Cafe and that dreadful night in which Rin appeared at Ryuu's doorstep both him and the girl talked to each other often, basically every night by the phone. From those conversations not once did Rin mention Elise name... Should he ask her something about it? Probably not my business, he concluded to himself. After Elise took time to present herself and explain that her relation to the Principal wasn't that special, Ryuu was already to say in detail what he wanted to know. But, before he had a chance... "Wait... Igarashi..."With a cold expression, Ryuusei listened carefully to what Elise said. It made sense. Most of the doctors directely involved with his sister only talked to his parents due to contractual reasons and hospital policy. If her mother was following Yaso's case it also explained why her father was willing to talk to Ryuusei on the day he approached the older man. I'm sorry for your loss and for your mother's state. No one should go through that at this age - he said, in a melancholic tone - I'll forever be thankful to your family for taking care of my sister, so thank you.He bowed down. Afterall, Ryuusei came from a very wealthy and tradition background, so this kind of gestures were something deeply wired into him. As he straighten up he calmed Elise's worries about Yaso. She's always at the private ward of the hospital and that wasn't that much affected by the attack, so she's fine - he said - But I guess that not even such commotion is enough to wake someone from a coma, a joke said with a sad tone. Even if his heart was changing, Ryuu still deeply missed his sister. But yeah, the reason I'm here, he agreed with Elise about the change of subjects as he sat back down on the fountain ledge. His arms resting on his knees, he looked at Elise while talking. I was hoping you would be able to tell me more about him. It's kind of unfair that he knows so much about us but we know almost nothing about him, don't you think? - he smiled before continuing - But, to be honest, I also wanted to see you in action. I'm probably also going to be learning a thing or two from Koba-sensei, so I guess we'll be partners of sorts. You could say that I was curious. Notes: ---Words: 743.Tags: Elise Von Eisenberg

Hearing that Ryuusei was not here to talk about the matter involving Rin was a relief to Elise, even if she had tried to control the damage, the burgundy-haired lass had to admit she was left somewhat in the dark when it came to the overall opinions of the student body when it came to the disaster that was called Music Night. It wasn't exactly the type of attention she wanted, no if anything she detested this tension she felt whenever she encountered someone from the A-course, perhaps it was a feeling she had come to recognize after her first meeting with Kanna and discovering that the damage had indeed spread in a certain way. Now she thought about it, it was kind of ironic if you considered that thing involving those odd 'popularity' rankings of the school. No, dispelling the thoughts of gloom and doom from her mind Elise had other things to wonder and worry about, like Ryuusei's connection to one of the long-term patients that her mother had been tending to. When he thanked her Elise couldn't help but find her body stiffen up for a moment, almost instinctively answering him with a "Don't thank my family..." She couldn't help but recall the creed of her parents, and after a moment finished up answering Ryuusei with a softer tone. "At least not yet, their work isn't done yet. The day your sister wakes up is the day you can thank us."
It was a kind gesture, one meant to instill hope, but she wasn't certain how much use it would have coming from someone who struggled with matters like optimism and hope nowadays. Elise had already become bitterly answer just how deeply ingrained a certain girl was with those two words. Indeed, Tetsuko Shindou had become something of a catalyst for those feelings. Without Tetsuko this world might have just been a wicked abyss of negativity or despair. All she could do for the time being, was hope her gesture would be successful, but as they mentioned earlier this wasn't a meeting meant to be about their families, it was about a mutual connection Ryuusei had to her.
"That's quite a difficult thing to ask for." Elise hummed softly as Ryuusei commented that he wanted to learn more about the man who was the key point behind that mutual connection, the very same man who was the principal of their school: Kobayashi Touma. As Ryuusei leaned back against the edge of the fountain Elise gently paced back and forth before him, explaining in a tone that clearly started to rise in cheeriness and joy, seemingly enjoying it when she talked about their mentor.
"Well, if I'm entirely honest... even if I'm likely the closest to him among the students, I don't really think there is anything truly noteworthy to mention that I might know of." Indeed, even with the plenty of time she spend with the man, they rarely conversed about his personal life and past. "Even if he is currently my legal guardian, I have to admit that the times I stay with Touma- I mean Kobayashi-sensei isn't usually spend talking about his personal life."
She raised a hand to the back of her head, scratching it lightly and hummed in amusement. "Usually we talk about firearms or combat tactics or the army." Indeed, Elise had always been interested in learning new things about firearms or tactics the military employed, but it did seem she knew something, a side to him that most weren't aware of. "If there is anything that might be something I think none of the other students know about sensei, then it is the fact he has a wonderful smile." Her lips curved up into a tender smile as she nodded her head lightly in affirmation. "We once ate a watermelon together, and while we were talking I saw him smile, it was a really warm and kind smile, I think that is part of where sensei's reason for his strictness comes from. You see, I feel Kobayashi-sensei truly cares about us and wants to try to help raise us into becoming who we want to be. Even someone like me, who was without a real dream or ambition was given guidance and was able to find her road to pursue."
She shifted her weight lightly as she leaned back and looked up at the sky. "The recent military demonstration camp really made me think: It must be incredibly tough for Kobayashi-sensei... his role as principal I mean. Have you been to the camp? A large group of the military seems to hold quite some negative feelings and opinions toward people with Quirks, and then look at Kobayashi-sensei: Someone who is genuinely trying to help us, it is almost as if he is surrounded exclusively by people with quirks nowadays, and I can't help but wonder what he might think or feel at times." Indeed, she couldn't help but wonder if Kobayashi Touma never felt any regret for not being born with a Quirk, or if he ever loathed or disliked people with Quirks. She genuinely doubted he hated them, because of the way he treated her, but it still left her curious at times. "But I do truly believe that our principal is a great man and an even greater teacher~" Elise declared as she ran a hand over the locked case which contained her Freyja.
"Although, I'm genuinely surprised someone else would be training under Kobayashi-sensei. Then again, I shouldn't be that surprised, when it comes to actual combat I think few of the faculty could get anywhere close to the actual real combat experiences that sensei experienced." Indeed, even if most of the teachers were former Vigilantes with plenty of experience under their belt, she didn't feel that those experiences weren't the same as those of a soldier trained for war, for the teachers combat was an outcome they sometimes couldn't avoid, for a soldier like Touma combat was an essential asset of their training.
"What made you seek out training Ryuu-kun?" It did leave her wondering a little, although she expected the question would likely be bounced back onto her soon.

Dreams breathe life into men. The stars... I'll reach them.
The day my sister wakes up... he thought about the words that Elise had spoken. Would that day ever come? Even if it did... how would things be when she opened her eyes? How old would Ryuusei be? Would ther parents be dead or alive? How would Yaso feel after being outside of the world for so long? He continued to let his mind wonder on such topic, allowing the conversation to keep going. Explaining the reason for his appearance at Elise's practice. The burgondy haired girl began telling Ryuusei a little bit about her relation with the Principal. The first thing that Ryuu noticed was her refering to Kobayashi as her "legal guardian". It made Ryuusei wonder if Elise didn't have any other family members besides her parents. It also showed that the Principal was, perhaps, a good man. That was if he did not have any hidden second intentions. However, from the interaction Ryuu had with the man back when he was in detention with Darren, that was unlikely. He layed down on the ledge of the fountain as he kept listening to the girl talking, his arms supporting his head while he looked at Elise with the corner of his eyes. The way she talked about Touma seemed special. Ryuusei could almost see Elise's heart getting warmer as she talked about the man's qualities and smile. It was just like she really saw him as a paternal figure or a older brother... Like Ryuusei talked about Yaso. He took out his army knife from the pocket with his left hand. He stretched, almost as if he was trying to cut trough the sky. The sun made the blade shine, despite it being a little dirty. Reflecting on it were Ryuu's eyes. He allowed Elise to finish talking before starting to talk himself. Yeah, I've been going to the camp, he said, going back to one of Elise's previous questions. One couldn't tell where Ryuu's empty eyes were looking at. At first glance, it was at that dirty and already used blade. However, one could say that he was looking directly at the clouds... even if it meant the sun burning his eyes. By the way you talk about him the Principal really seems like a good man, I'm glad to hear that - he kept looking up and holding the knife - I guess that I've been training to figure out if I'm like him... If I'm a good person.
His voice was cold, just like his eyes. But there was sadness in it. Like Ryuusei couldn't handle the fact that, maybe, just maybe, he wasn't a totally good person. That maybe there was a big darkness inside him. That, maybe, U.A. Highschool was the last place where he should be. He didn't told her - also because he couldn't really tell it to himself - but maybe training with Kobayashi was a desperate attempt at getting stronger while maintaining his own empathy and good side. However, Ryuusei was quick to notice that, for some seconds, he had let his guard down in front of Elise. So, in a quick way, he threw the knife into the air. As the object rotated in a battle against gravity, Ryuusei got up and went back to his previous position: sitting on the ledge of the fountain, his body facing Elise. Without looking at it, he caught the knife and in one fast movement put it back to its place. He smiled. But what about you? A young teen in a Hero School holding a rifle isn't what one would expect. What does handling Freyja mean to you, Elise? he remebered the girl saying the name of the gun before. Notes: The conversation keeps going!Words: 619.Tags: Elise Von Eisenberg

How did Elise see Kobayashi Touma? The way she talked about him was clearly much more affectionate than the type of feeling one held toward a principal or teacher, and the reason for that was Elise's admiration for the man. If anything she saw Touma as an elder brother that she never had, and as she finished talking Ryuusei finally started speaking. He affirmed to her that the teenager had indeed visited the military demonstration camp before, a visit that no doubt might had some sort of interesting experience which left some impact upon the boy, at least for Elise the visit to the camp had made her think more on certain matters, although she wasn't sure if there would be an opportunity or reason to voice those matters. The way he gazed upwards Elise couldn't help but wonder what Ryuusei was looking at, what he had been thinking about, and then he spoke, commenting about how the Principal seemed like a good man. She had to agree with that statement, in her eyes Touma was a person who one could describe as a good person, but that description itself was already somewhat difficult to work with, something that would become a grim matter for the two students to discuss soon afterwards. When Ryuusei commented about the fact he had been training to figure out if he was like him, if he was a 'good person' Elise felt a familiar sensation well up within her chest.
Around the same time he finished speaking and threw the knife upwards into the air Elise spoke, her tone softer than before. "What makes someone a 'good person' Ryuu-kun?" A question that surely would be fuel for debate, in the end, a lot of people had a different perspective of what made someone a good person. "Because I'd have to admit that I might not be a good person." She turned her body sideways and took a few steps forward, the way she held her hands behind her back and the almost playful nature of her movements made it clear she had lowered her guard around the boy as she continued. "I never aspired to be a hero either. For starters, even my quirk which is meant to heal people and ease their suffering is used in a selfish way."
Indeed, her reason for joining this school had never been to be a hero or anything. Her reasons and ambitions had always been personal, some might even say selfish. "Don't get me wrong Ryuu-kun, I like helping people as much as anyone else does, but I have my priorities. When I first started learning medicine at a medical school in Tokyo, I did it in order to tend to my childhood friend, no matter what type of troubles she would get herself into."
Indeed, she learned medicine not to be a martyr who would save the world with her skills, she merely wanted to help a loved one. "When I joined U.A, I did it simply because I would gain access to better education and remain at Tetsuko's side." Indeed, there were many reasons for joining the hero academy, but hers certainly wasn't a pure one. "When my beloved childhood friend was intoxicated by the Quirk Enhancement Drug I didn't help her right away, I selfishly used her vulnerable state to confess my feelings for her and force her to answer them, even after I waited for ten years for her to recognize my feelings."
She stopped and took a deep breath. "Even after the horrible events at Music Night, I selfishly sought out comfort in the arms of the one I hurt by my selfishness that night" She shook her head lightly and turned to look at Ryuusei. "I'm not a good person Ryuu-kun, I'm a selfish girl who is obsessed with her childhood friend. I'm so clingy and childish most would be repulsed if they saw my true behavior. I can barely spend an entire day without Tetsuko by my side before I start getting annoyed and lonely. Sure, I did good things in my life, but I also did plenty of unfair things also. It's for that reason that I can't consider myself a true hero Ryuu-kun."
Indeed... There was no doubt that right now Elise didn't have the heart of a true hero. "There are only so many lives I can value. And I decided who those people were after Thunder Shock robbed me of my parents. So people shouldn't try to ask for my pity or concern when Tetsuko is involved. Because right now? I don't have that luxury to spare or room in my heart to care. I would be willing to watch the world burn if it meant saving Tetsuko."
She looked at the closed case, and found a hand gently trailing over the surface. "That is what Freyja means to be Ryuu-kun, to me Freyja is my means of protecting those dear to me. Perhaps it's for that reason the teachers worry about me using Freyja. You see, the act of 'killing' someone is terrifying, isn't it? As a result most people hesitate when they got to pull the trigger, although I have yet to kill anyone, I don't fear pulling the trigger when it needs to be pulled. I would pull it without hesitation if it meant protecting those dear to me... or if it gave me the chance to kill Thunder Shock."
A gentle sigh escaped her lips as she smiled at Ryuusei and finished her explanation with a more cheerful tone. "What I'm trying to say is that the perceiving of someone as being 'good' or 'evil' is a very personal and biased opinion. The kindness you show to one person, might make you look like a good person in their eyes, but that doesn't mean everyone else will consider you that. Tetsuko might consider myself a nice person, but I'm sure there are others who will think less positively of me. But that is only natural, we are human beings after all."

Dreams breathe life into men. The stars... I'll reach them.
Sitting down, he kept his eyes gazing at Elise's face as the girl gave a lenghty replied to the question that Ryuusei had put forward. "What makes someone a 'good person' Ryuu-kun? "Because I'd have to admit that I might not be a good person", she started saying. It was indeed an interesting point, one that Ryuu had reflected much upon himself: what makes a person good, what does that definition mean and does it apply to himself? If one was to use the common conception of the word "good" then, just like the girl in front of him, Ryuusei wouldn't consider himself to be a good person - much on the contrary. He had done some terrible things, had some horrible thoughts. Would his good deed ever be enough to atone for that? Comparing himself to people like Touma - a traditional personification of the word "good" - was only a way of coping with his feelings. If Ryuu was able to mimic such man perhaps the monster within him would disappear. But that was a lie and, even if he didn't admit it, a lie that Ryuu was aware of: the monster would never disappear or be tamed, for he would just hibernate until he felt hungry once again. Curious to see where the the golden eyed female would lead her train of thought, Ryuu placed his elbow on his knee, placing his hand on his cheek to support his head. Listening closely. They were similiar in some type of way. Ryuusei was getting more and more selfish with his motivations and he knew that. He entered Yuuei because of Yaso, but quickly realized that he could never follow his sister's dream; he loved Rinkusu, but couldn't be with her at this moment in time; he trusted Yoru, but was also afraid of never being able to fully be there for him. Yes, that was the big difference between Elise and Ryuusei: The girl didn't have room to care about anyone else other than Tetsuko, being willing to watch the world burn if it meant saving the girl. The boy feared that his own heart only had room for himself, that he was willing to watch the world burn for the sake of it. She had never killed - Ryuu couldn't say the same. Yes. He wasn't good or bad. Ryuusei was just Ryuusei and that was what scared him the most. Straightening his posture while placing both of his hands back to his pockets, Ryuusei took the chance to start talking himself. You're right. Binaries were never my thing to be honest. However, it's kind of interesting... - Ryuusei looked up at the sky, making a pause in betwenn his words - Good and evil might not really exist, however we are shaping a society based on this dichotomy. I would like to change that someday...Yeah, the shape of his unreachable dream was becoming cleared with each passing day and experience. He looked back at Elise, leaving the clouds to roam above without being seen. Ryuusei was going to touch the wounds. What if Thundershock falls into that grey area? - he asked - What if he has his humanity, his goals, his reasons to live. What if he has a family and does good for them, is an excellent husband and father? What if many people also consider him to be a good person. You said it yourself: it's a very personal and biased opinion. Knowing all of that: would you still pull the trigger? Steal from others what he stole from you?Ryuusei knew what the answer for him was. He also know what he expected to hear from Elise. He asked only because it would be interesting to hear her reaction. To see if they real were alike. Notes: ---Words: 635.Tags: Elise Von Eisenberg

What made a person a 'good' person? It was something Elise had frequently wondered about but in the end, she came to the acceptance or perhaps tolerance of the knowledge that things like good and evil were difficult concepts to put into place. Even if she didn't know much about Ryuusei, considering this was their first meeting they were quite similar in certain ways. Both had once likely followed their path out of a pure or noble reason, but then slowly but surely started to find their reasons to change. For Elise that was pretty evident, and something she had been aware of. Elise had a power that could save people, and yet she struggled with the knowledge that she wanted to use it only for her loved ones. Did that make her a bad person? Considering she also wanted to become a doctor in order to help people, one could argue her desire outweighed her selfishness. Both had entered Yuuei for the sake of another, for just as Ryuusei had joined the academy for the sake of his sister's dream, so did Elise join the school to be closer to her beloved childhood friend, and to support her.
Both had a peculiar connection to Rin Kurama, although a mutual connection each side was not entirely aware of, nor did Elise know what type of future awaited her with that connection. Yet perhaps there was indeed one thing, one side of them that made them so different from one another. While Elise might have not had any room to care about anyone else other than Tetsuko, being willin to watch the world burn for the sake of her beloved one, it was that feeling: to have someone to live and care for that gave Elise a view upon things that was different than Ryuusei.
Elise lived for Tetsuko's sake, but did Ryuusei live for anyone but himself? When he commented about binaries Elise raised a hand to her chin, pondering for a moment. There can be no good without evil, no light without darkness, binaries in essence requires one for the other to function. "I dunno~ I kind of like Binaries. You see..." She raised a single finger into the air between them and hummed softly. "After all doing it alone, is more boring than when you-" a second finger was raised as the burgundy-haired lass continued with a smirk. "Do it with someone else~ However, when a third one gets involved things get a bit messy~"
No kidding, perhaps it was a good thing she declined Yumi's invitation for a threesome... For a moment she couldn't help but snicker in amusement before she continued. "But you're right, society is quite shaped around this dichotomy, and as a result there will always be people who observe the world through those glasses of black and white colors~"
Yet it was clear that the subject would soon be shifting to something darker and more sorrowful, a light shake of her head following in response. "A man who only kills to relieve himself of his boredom is no man at all Ryuu-kun, he is the embodiment of a demon, a fiend, a true monster." Yet Ryuusei had a point, what if Thunder Shock, underneath his villainy was a human being? That he still retained a sense of humanity, goals to pursue, reasons to live for. What if he had a family and was good for them?
"I told you before Ryuu-kun, I am not a true hero, or a real hero for that matter: I'm just a girl with a gun wanting to protect those dear to me." She raised her gaze toward the sky and pondered for a moment. It would have been nice if she was a hero seeking to deliver justice, but this wasn't just about judging Thunder Shock for his crimes.
"That man killed my father and left my mother like a vegetable if I'm given the opportunity I will pull that trigger without a moment of hesitation or regret. If the law won't kill him for his crimes, then I will..."
She was confident that if given the opportunity, she would someday kill that man. Of course, as she raised a hand and brushed aside some of the hair locks covering her face that pleasant smile returned to her lips as she continued to speak.
"I actually sometimes wonder what Kobayashi-sensei would do if he was in my shoes. Do you think he would kill Thunder Shock?" An interesting question for sure.

Dreams breathe life into men. The stars... I'll reach them.
Ryuusei Igarashi got his answer: him and Elise von Eisenberg were similiar in many aspects, but there was, however, an extraordinary difference that erased everything in which they were alike. He smiled at her innuendo and kept listening as she agreed with him about the current state of Japan. But the next sentence... The next sentence was the decisive one. "A man who only kills to relieve himself of his boredom is no man at all Ryuu-kun, he is the embodiment of a demon, a fiend, a true monster."His left hand began shaking. The right was quick to stop that display of repressed memories. When was it? Three days ago? Four? Maybe even a week,,, He wasn't sure. But it had happen. Despite the many baths since he could still see the blood on his hands; their faces in his eyes. It hurt. Not because of the regret of doing it, but exactly because of the feeling of emptiness when evoking what had happened. Three different people that he had killed. Already four in total. He knew every detail from each and everyones face, but did not cry about it one single time; he did not wish that he hadn't done it. What do you call someone who is capable of killing without feeling any kind of emotion? To someone who realizes this curse that they carry and run with it, murdering just because they know that they can? Elise had her opinion and Ryuusei had his. The teenager was hearing echoes of what he had said to Tanaka Greyson. Monsters are the ones that find reasons - no matter how weak they are - to justify their murderous intent. For example, a girl who wants to shoot a man with no hesitation in order to get revenge, because that man is an evil one that keeps evading the law. Justice by her own hands. That example was standing right in front of Ryuusei. Who is the real monster - the boy that accepts his own monster or the girl that lets herself get blinded and consumed by hers? He wanted to tell her. "You're the real monster"; "You are what's wrong". But... he couldn't force himself to do it. Despite his monster being alive and hungry there was still a split. A split that allowed a kind, innocent soul to keep breathing, that made him want to see the stars of a starless sky. Ryuusei didn't see himself as a monster, but he knew one lived inside him; he knew the reality and consequence of his own actions. He accepted it. Maybe there was only one person that could save him at that point, but he never would have the courage to confess his sins to her. But he could still try to show others the light that he knew he couldn't touch. It won't ease the pain - he said - Killing him. It won't bring the past back. I understand you're hatred and you're desire, but don't let that consume you, just fuel you. If you let Thundershock be a ghost that is always at your side during every decision that you make then he wins. He looked at the untouchable sky as he continued to talk. I don't know the Principal, but if he is who I imagine him to be then I'd like to believe that he wouldn't do it. Perhaps that decision would allow Thundershok to escape or even kill the Principal himself, but I don't believe that even then he would regret it. It would be foolish, if you ask me. But fools are also needed in this world.A fool... A foolish hero. A true one. Those were the ones that the world needed. Notes: ---Words: 623.Tags: Elise Von Eisenberg

Indeed, for all their similarities, there were some things that made them different all the way to their core. Perhaps it was thanks to her countless hours of training with a sniper rifle, that she could see the subtle shake of the boy's hand, yet her expression showed little of the fact she had noticed it. Did her response coax some sort of thing out of Ryuusei? She wasn't sure, and the more she thought about it, the more she felt the urge to suppress her curiosity. Her gaze had softened after her words were spoken as Ryuusei silently thought about what was spoken.
"..." That calm smile that concealed something else, something darker looked at him, and in a way that was where they were so similar again. It was like this encounter wasn't simply between the two of them, in the end weren't there two more in their presence? Even if they couldn't see them, there was no doubt that this was not a meeting between two, but four individuals. Ryuusei Igarashi, the boy who seemed so kind and understanding on the surface, his calm presence somewhat soothing, yet lurking in his shadow was a ferocious beast, a monster which might take any shape, and yet remained caged within the body of the boy that served as its vessel.
Meanwhile standing only a few meters away from him was the burgundy-haired lass, smiling playfully at him while lifting the mood with kindness and a cheerfulness that some might find refreshing, and others annoying yet as if a mirror image of the boy before them, a shadow loomed behind the girl, one whose ominous presence could be just as terrifying, if not even more terrifying than the monster lurking within Ryuusei's heart. After all, a reason could often drive a person to be much more dangerous. If one had to pick between facing a wolf who hunted because he was starving, or one who hunted merely out of boredom... which one would be more dangerous?
"Hmm?" Elise paused for a moment as she turned back toward Ryuusei, his words making her smile briefly as she stepped beside Ryuusei and took a seat at his side, looking up at the sky and raising a hand up in a similar gesture as the one he made earlier. "The words I spoke earlier weren't in their entirety Ryuu-kun~" Elise began as she tried to interlace her fingers around a cloud as if she was imagining trying to grasp for it.
"A man like Thunder Shock is a monster, but then what about those that kill for a reason? Does it justify their actions?" She paused for a moment before suddenly bouncing her body upright, a few steps being taken away from the boy as she turned around. "It doesn't. Like you said, it won't ease the pain, but it is too late for it to not consume me." She closed her eyes and raised her head, pondering for a moment about what she was about to confess next.
"In the past I never thought I could feel something like hatred or anger. However, the first time I felt such an emotion? It's one I'll never forget." She lowered her gaze and looked straight at Ryuusei. "When I found Rin in the infirmary and learned someone had drugged her? I felt such a terrifying sensation in my heart. It was akin to looking into a gaping hole of darkness that would threaten to swallow me if I took even one step toward it. But I could feel it, hear it, how my heart went: If I ever find the person who did this? I will make them pay.'"
She paused once more, a hand reached for her chest as she inhaled deeply. "Since that day, the day I felt those horrifying feelings I learned something, something I wish I could have remained oblivious toward." She took a step toward him as she continued. "Those feelings, they were akin to the whispers of a demon, and it only grew worse when Thunder Shock killed my parents. It was at that moment I understood."
She stopped right before him, leaning forward so her face was right before his, so she could take in every detail of his expression. "That some people have a monster slumbering within their heart. We might be human beings, but at some point when you start to abandon yourself to those darker feelings, you start to lose a grasp of your humanity. Thunder Shock is a solid example of that. Of someone who succumbed to the monster within them"
She leaned back from him and took a step backward, that gentle smile returning on her lips. "And I am another example. Even if the nature of our monster is different, those feelings of mine have given birth to a monster. If anything, there might be a demon sleeping within me."
And yet there was one thing she needed to make clear. "But what makes me different from Thunder Shock, is that I'm still trying to fight back against this monster, although in my case it's more like I'm trying to learn to control it? To harness it and turn it into a power to use to protect that which is important to me? I might become a demon someday, but at least I'm a demon with a cause, although people do often say that a monster who has a 'reason' is the most dangerous among them all."
She looked up at the sky a final time and hummed softly. "That, and I am confident that as long as I have my loved one by my side, I will be able to retain my humanity, I won't turn into a monster like Thunder Shock."
Still, the talk about the Principal made her lips curve into a smile for just a moment. "I wonder, perhaps something we get to ask him someday. I got the feeling that he would be willing to kill if it meant protecting someone else, but I might be wrong. After all, who knows what goes through the mind of a trained soldier like him?"
A soft beep resounded from her pocket, making the lass grasp toward the pocket of her jacket and withdrew a small device from it. "Hmm, seems it's almost time for me to return to his office to report in on today's training~"

Dreams breathe life into men. The stars... I'll reach them.
Elise sat down besides Ryuusei after the boy finished speaking. That girl, she had a weird vibe. Ryuu always considered himself as a good judge of character and, as Elise got closer and closer to him, he definetely started to feel as if something was out of place. Don’t trust people who are overly nice, they say. On the flip side, such sensation was one that pleased Ryuusei. People are complex and often at Yuuei those complexities were reduced to the simplicity of needing to be a Hero or wanting to help others - often, such simplicity was fake. With Elise, however, one could certainly feel that there was more to her. This made her - and, by consequence, the interaction - much more interesting that if she was yet another regular Yuuei student. The Igarashi made sure that this thoughts remained hidden, his face with his trademark cold expression as he listened to her speak. One sentence and she was back on her feet. A few more words and she was looking directly into Ryuu’s eyes as she continued to talk. Thundershok, Rinkusu, a demon whispering inside her head. The honey-eyed male kept the exact same look on his face. However, his brain kept working on connections, on understanding exactly to where Elise was leading the conversation and what her words meant to both her and Ryuusei himself. Without jumping into any conclusions, he kept on listening. It was then than Elise to come real, real close. Ryuusei could feel her breath as the girl’s eyes locked onto his own, perhaps looking for something, for a reaction to what she was saying. A dangerous game, one that Ryuusei had already played with much higher stakes back at Kabukicho - he wondered if he would ever see that woman again. Not caving in, he made sure that he didn’t blink as Elise talked. If she wanted to dive onto the depths of his eyes then Ryuusei would allow it: afterall, at the bottom of the ocean, there is only silence and darkness. She stepped back and then finished her line of thought. That both her and Thundershock were monsters, but that she was still different to him; that she could become a demon, but that wouldn’t happen if she has the one she loves by her side. Different, but the same, Ryuusei could only think. But there was much more going on his mind after listening to everything that Elise had to say. On his mind, Elise had already lost and Ryuusei’s attemps to save her from her unescapable fate would be just that: attempts. She couldn’t separate herself from Thundershock; she couldn’t separate herself from Tetsuko; she couldn’t separate herself from her own monster. Yet, at the same time, she couldn’t fully embrance them as her own: she admitted that both her and Thundershock had demons, but couldn’t accept the fact that they could even potentially be in the same category; she appeared to love Tetsuko with her heart and soul, but insisted on closing her own eyes to the fact that she kept seeing Tetsuko as a mere object to use in order to ensure the keeping of her humane side; she accepted her monster, but yet kept fighting against it, wanting to keep the uncontrollable in chains; she knew that she wasn’t a nice person, but seemed to not want to accept the possibility of being a bad one. It was then that Ryuusei realized something himself. What was inside him, that alluring female voice… that wasn’t a monster: that himself, his purest and free of judgement self. The one that understood the reality of the world, a world where there is no such thing as truth, a world where anyone can become a hero or a villain by having only to claim that to be the true. The one that lived only for himself, having realized the importance of individuality in a new society that more and more pushed for the self to be pressed into a group na having to adapt to it. The one that achieved the dangerous level of perception that allowed the thoought that a dream, an action, an idea are all things that must be done for yourself, not for others. Ryuusei had recently finished reading the notes of Nanno Nanigashi, something Ryuu bought at the black market of Kabukicho. Titling the notes ‘Heroes, Villain and Me’, the author finished with in a way that still resonated with the young kid. ~~
“As a final conclusion to this collection of personal thoughts that I am sure will be immediately censured and thrown into the realms of oblivion, I would like to leave one idea clear, an idea that I realize to be more and more true with each passing day in this ridiculous pretend society of fictional shining knights and fake pursuers of evil: you, the reader, and me, the author, are not wrong, the world is. And if heroes and villains are in the wrong, maybe you are in the right. Maybe the “you” is where the answer lies.”~~
The world created Thundershock, Thundershock created Elise, the monster inside of Elise battled to get out as a response, one that Elise was trying to at least contain in order to keep Tetsuko near. She was already part of the tide and who could blame her? She had to. Ryuusei now understood that. Even he still battled with himself, whether it was with his feelings towards Rinkusu and Yoru or his relationship with his sister and parents. He was stil trying to figure it all out, but he knew that he was on the right path - whatever right meant. There was no monster in him, there was just himself. If the so called “monster” didn’t judge him, why would Ryuusei do that to him? Ryuusei Igarashi was growing more and more found of what lied within him, Elise was still trying to fight what was in her. It would be interesting to see what path awaits each of them. All this thinking came into a hault as Elise phone bleeped, announcing the time for departure. Ryuusei got back up on his feet, hands in pockets and, for the first time in awhile, he spoke. Contained, cold, yet obviously sincere, as if his harsh words came from a sport of care and concern. Being confident in someone other than yourself to keep your own humanity will be your downfall. He walked towards Elise, stopping at her side. He kept looking forward and not at girl, but the words close to her ear were clear voiced to her. I hope it turns out fine for you, but… Try to control something that can’t be tamed by force and, sooner or later, it will just come for you twice as hard. And, just like that, he continued to walk, his back turned against Elise as he disapperead from the area. Raising one arm, he waved without looking back and as he continued to march ahead. It was nice meeting you, Elise-chan.Notes: Fun conversation!!Words: 1,179.Tags: Elise Von Eisenberg

The silence that followed as Ryuusei seemed to consider her words, yet his expression remained so difficult to read, in a way it was slightly upsetting. In the end, without knowing what he was thinking, what he was feeling it made it difficult for her to acknowledge what reaction might had been the most correct to use, what type of response might had been the best to provide. However, as the beep in her phone heralded the approaching end of their conversation Ryuusei finally addressed her again, yet the words making her freeze lightly on the spot.
Being confident in someone else to keep her humanity would be her downfall? In truth, it had always been somewhat of a concern for the burgundy-haired lass: the awareness that there was something dark like a monster slumbering within her, and yet as he walked toward her Elise almost instinctively felt her body tense up, a step backward being made as the boy stopped right next to her, the words whispered into her ear being almost akin to an ominous warning: the words that were spoken, warning her that if she tried to control something that couldn't be tamed by force, a creature that would lash out twice as violent in the end...
"Ryuu..."
She turned around as he walked past her, a hand raised in an attempt to stop him, but she could notice it, the light shaking of her hand. Were those words spoken by someone who knew what it was like? Who shared a similar burden? As the student left the training grounds Elise finally allowed the tension to leave her, both hands shakingly reaching for her face as she took a few steps backward. A violent shake of her head followed as she turned toward the fountain, lowering herself into her knees as she splashed some of the fountains' water onto her face. It was odd how the coldness of the water calmed her down, at least physically as the shaking of her hands ceased.
"What do I do?"
The girl muttered to herself as she gazed down into her reflection in the surface of the water. All this time she thought she was on the right path, that learning to wield those dark and negative feelings would be a way for her to protect Tetsuko, a way for her to ensure that she would have the strength to keep herself from losing the last one precious to her. But would that really work? Was that what Tetsuko wanted? Was that what... she wanted for herself? Another splash of water was made as she shook her head lightly.
She didn't know...
If that monster within her could become a danger to Tetsuko someday, then she wanted nothing to do with it. But how could she possibly vanquish something so dark, something so wicked and powerful that it seemed to constantly haunt her within the deepest recesses of her heart? This wasn't just something she couldn't ask help for, it was something she had to figure out for herself.
"Is it really alright for me to rely on Tetsuko to keep this feeling under control?" It was a question she didn't know the answer to, but she was confident that no matter the situation, there was simply no way she would ever harm her beloved iron-blooded knight. Taking a deep breath she looked back at the reflection in the water and muttered softly. "What is more important to me? Tetsuko or my revenge?"
It was a difficult question to answer, the memory of how her father's corpse was mangled in such a way she was even forbidden from seeing him, the cruelty of Thunder Shock's goons and the man's own lack of a reason or motivation... the pain her mother must had been going through right now, that loneliness she felt.
But then as she closed her eyes it felt like those dark feelings were threatening to consume her, as if that monster within her was manifesting, threatening to pull her under and shroud her thoughts, but it was at that moment she saw it: the hand that was extended toward her, the gentle lines, traces of healed scars with lined up along her arm, and as she looked up that gentle smile that was on Tetsuko's lips.
It started to become clear to her, little by little what she truly valued the most, a realization that was manifested in her attempt to reach out with a hand toward Tetsuko's arm, grasping a hold of it as she was gently pulled upright.
"Maybe he is right... Maybe such a monster can't be tamed. But I have no use for something which would threaten the one that I hold dearest to me." Indeed, if that monster within her would become a threat, she would strike it down. She didn't need a monster that couldn't be controlled...
In the end, ever since that day she had made it clear that Tetsuko would be her priority, and Elise was adamant about keeping that promise, that oath she had made with herself. "You're a peculiar person... Ryuusei Igarashi..." Elise muttered with a weak smile as she rose onto her feet and approached the case which contained her drone and rifle, and soon started to make her way toward the exit of the room.
"For Tetsuko I would be willing to do anything... including 'that'." The girl muttered softly, a glint of resolve in her eyes as she finally left the training grounds. It was a peculiar encounter for sure, but little did the burgundy-haired lass know just how meaningful their conversation would become for the future. After all, the girl had yet to learn how difficult it was to kill a monster, and just how special her bond with Tetsuko truly was. But for now? For now it was time for her to return to the Principal's Office to report on today's training, discuss it and then return to the dorms to spend some time with her lover...
