No villains here, nothing to see here. [Julen]

Julen had been wandering around observing the area the military that had recently been set up for everyone to enjoy and observe.  He went to the armory to see if he could study the guns and weapons there so he could begin to learn how to create them with his Quirk but he soon learned that it was becoming WAYYY too advanced for him.  his red eyes stared at the weapons they had as they carefully observed them, he also was spying on this event for Thundershock since he himself could not be there.  Sizing up the military was important because one day they may have to fight them as well and because Quirk's were the only weapon they could really rely on they needed to be smart about the fights they pick, and learning your opponents weaponry was a HUGE advantage in the current war against heroes.

Luckily Julen was one of the few people who could walk around a free man, his disguise when doing work for the family was a good one, his face was never seen due to the mask he wears and his disguise hid his tattoos so there was not much for the investigators investigating the murders he committed could do. HOWEVER Today was different! Julen was wearing a tank top and some basketball shorts and some sneakers, He stretched his arms around and let his tattoos absorb in the sunlight and show his muscles off a bit, it was nice to not have to wear that disguise to hide himself or a suit to look proper when handling family matters. He felt most natural like this, he was blending into the crowd today to not draw suspicion to himself. Which was pretty easy when a boy was suddenly using his quirk to make some guns float around by using an ice quirk...interesting. 

He watched the kid for a moment, he was freaking out over the guns sending a barrage of questions to the poor soldier who was stuck answering them. Ugh, he was gonna have to intervene wasn't he? "Hey kid, you probably shouldn't be aiming one of those things at you, even if you think it isn't loaded..  let me see one of those bad boys." he said as his deep voice filled the air between the two of them. He began to say the stats out loud of the gun and examined it a bit, "Howa Type 89, a 500 meter firing range, 750 rounds a minute if you got the ammo for it." he said whistling a bit and admiring the craftsmanship that went into this gun, the soldier must have taken good care of it. "You got a name kid? Not many people your age are really curious about guns."

"FFFFFu" it got suddenly VERY cold the instant Julen walked up to this kid who gave his name as Maximilian. Julen rather enjoyed the cold despite his quirk being weaker in the winter due to the lower lighting when it's snowing..but this time he was NOT appropriately dressed to be dealing with ANY form of cold right now. "Is that you causing this cold kid?" he asked since it was somewhat obvious he might be responsible for it. Julen could somewhat sympathize with him, while his quirk was a mutation, he was often mistaken for someone who was quirk-less which gave him an inside look at how people truly felt about those with quirk's. At times he himself found it disgusting, how something as small as an extra joint in a person's foot could truly make such a ridiculous split in society. As maxi mistakenly pointed the gun at Julen he did not even flinch at first but he did tense up, being on the wrong end of a gun was not really something that was uncommon for his line of work, however out of instinct he had raise his arm up and prepared to summon his shield in case a stray bullet were to fire out from that gun. "Are you dumb? I just said not to point it at someone." he said grabbing it out of maxi's hand, he didn't mean to scare the kid but it was important that the kid learned quickly that accidents can happen.

The kid in returned through his stutter asked Julen for his name, the answer was short and sweet "Julen." as he didnt take his eye off the gun while speaking to the kid realizing that his unstable personality leaked through for a second. "Sorry,  been on the wrong end of a gun before. It's not fun." clarifying and trying to excuse his behavior. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a cigarette and a lighter and lit the cigarette, he didn't really smoke that often but he was a bit stressed thinking about the times a gun has been pointed at him. He took a deep breath in and released a cloud of smoke away from Maxi's general direction. "What are you doing here? Im surprised U.A has students interested in lethal weapons." he asked curiously as he looked Maxi's uniform up and down.

With the gun he took from Maxi's "ice limbs" he loaded some rubber bullets into the weaponry and aimed carefully at the targets in the target range that were available to shoot at. He had fired a gun before but he was no savant when it came to firing at them, his experience with shooting things was limited to the bow he created. he fired 2 times, the first one missing the center of it by a large gap, but the second shot managed to hit significantly closer, a small tongue clicking noise could be heard. "Yep, I still prefer archery." he said whispering  to himself about his preference for bows.

Julen felt the temperature lowering around the two of them, after firing the gun he emptied the bullets and turned around to look at maxi. He could feel the boy's tenseness building up, that's no good.. he walked over to Maxi and patted him on the back. He noticed that Maxi had a U.A excercise shirt on, great. He smiled at the kid "You arent scared of me are you? Pffft if you are I dont think you're gonna be up to pro hero status any time soon if that's the case." he said laughing a bit to himself. "Dont worry im not gonna hurt you, I used to serve in a military force that's why i have combat experience." he said lying through his teeth, he did serve in a militia force under thunder shock's forces as a commander but eh, potato poTATto. "and if you were curious, yes my quirk is related to such a type of weaponry which is why I have experience with it" this is where Julen got crafty, he placed the gun to the holster on the wall of the shooting range and placed both of his hands together.

His tattoos and hair glowed with a red light and and as Julen slowly pulled his hands away a bow made of light would slowly manifest in front of him. He grabbed the bow as it stayed hovering in front of him and pulled on the string made of light, an arrow appeared on the bow as Julen focused in on the target in front of him, he hit the pedal in front of him for a new target and as soon as the paper dropped in front of the target dummy he released his hand of the arrow and watched it fly. While the first arrow was flying Julen managed to quickly manifest a 2nd one and fired it also aimed at a different location. The arrow landed straight on the dummy humanoid's head and made a pegging sound as it hit a bulls-eye on the head. The second arrow seemed to have missed the head but was actually aimed at the heart area which also managed to hit it's intended location. " Be careful with that line of thinking about not needing to learn something. What if a villain had a quirk evenly matched with yours but he had a gun at his disposal and you had no wait to fight him at a distance?" Julen said in his normal serious tone. "Then you'd basically be his bitch and you might die. Look what happen to Darkshine, she got seriously hurt because she underestimated her opponent despite being evenly matched." he crossed his arms and gestured to one of the soliders to bring him something he pointed at, the soldier obeyed surprisingly, apparently Julen had his scary face on and didnt realize it. However when Maxi looked at his face Julen would be giving a nice smile to the boy, Julen had a natural want to teach people things, a side of himself he rarely showed to anyone outside of his 'family' The soldier brought over a bow and some arrows. "Here try this, ill teach you." he said offering his help to Maxi.

"It's fine." he said responding to maxi's initial worry about Julen being a dangerous person, after all, he wasn't wrong. Julen noticed that maxi was staring at him, not like a blank stare but like gawking at him soon maxi got very close and touch feely by putting his arm around the red head's neck, normally Julen would have immediately tried to break his arm but the boy began to whisper into his ear. Julen was intrigued, did this kid have bigger metaphorical balls then he led on? Just a few moments ago he was rather scared of Julen but now that unease was gone... was he playing a game with him? Whatever Julen knew he could most likely take on the kid who was probably still wet behind the ears, his confidence in his fighting ability was rather large causing him to underestimate Maxi.

"Fine, I'll go. But we're going to spar in that case." he said gruffly as he followed a few steps behind maxi. the bow vanished from Julen's hand, summoning it so quickly didn't cause Julen to use up much energy so he would be able to summon it again rather soon.

Some time passed and Julen and maxi had been sparing for some time now, Julen had his kite shield already out and was telling maxi to try and hit him with some ice pellets. "Go on, give it your best shot if you can break the shield and stop me we can take a break." he said taunting the boy to use his full power. A barrage of several icicles were hitting Julen's shield and started to almost break it, the red reaper began to realize his defensive position was not working anymore decided to wait for an opening in maxi's attack. The barrage of icicles started to slow down and Julen decided to pounce, he moved out of the way of the icicle quickly and began to switch to his scythe quickly and slashed at the icicles being sent his way. He proved to be too fast for maxi and stopped the light blade an inch from his neck. "Good. I think you made some progress. We can take a break now." he stated as he moved the scythe away from the boy's neck, and swung it around until it vanished from the man's hands. He plopped over to a spot a small distance away from maxi next to a tree, he was drenched in sweat and was breathing rather heavily.

Julen had stood up from the tree they were sitting behind "Well that was fun, you weren't half bad for a pip squeak." he laughed to himself about the recent wrestling match they had gotten into after their quirk training. He took out a cigarette from his shorts and a lighter as well to light the cigarette, he took big pull from the cigarette and let the nicotine give him a rush of pleasure as he began to relax a bit. "Here." he said quietly and briefly as Julen handed his phone to Maxi to put his number in. Without thinking he had given his flip phone that Thunder gave him to do their business on to maxi. "Wait hold on not that one, that's my business phone, here." he said switching phones to a smart phone and pressing the button to have maxi dial in his phone number. 

He began to realize that Maxi may be a useful tool for something he needed to be done. "Hey. Actually I have a small job I just realized I could give you if you want some side cash." he said beginning to plot his offer. "Could you keep an eye out for someone for me? I need someone to watch after this girl named Melody Miro." he said telling the details to maxi "She goes to U.A and im to busy to watch after her, I want you do to it for me and seeing how you handle yourself and your quirk i think you're the perfect person for it." he said patting himself mentally on the back for it. "The only thing I ask is that you don't tell her I hired you or the fact that you know me, if you do or she learns of me doing this you are immediately fired. You can either be her friend and stick close to her or just report to me stuff on her conditions when I ask."  He was beginning to draw on the conversation for too long, he hated speaking for long periods of time, he preferred to do hands on action and things himself but delegating this task to a young impressionable kid might be easier for him to micro-manage. He stood there with his tank top tossed over his shoulders and he crossed his arms.

"Well what do you say? obviously you can ask me for something else if you want." he said smiling to the young man.

Hm? The boy had some protests to Julen's request? Well it was fair to be honest, it was a rather out of nowhere proposition but Julen had other methods to bend people to his will and he was sure Maxi would be no different. After all Julen had a secret weapon, QED surely Maxi got a taste of it from the QED incident that went off flawlessly due to Thunder's plan and the rogue agent's cooperation.  "Fine, im sure I can compensate you in other things you desire. If you catch my drift that is, ask and you shall receive sweet cheeks." he said trying to taunt the boy into making his heart race. He took another pull from his cigarette and began to walk off in a rather good mood. 
His body felt sore from all the training they had done and he began to let his mind wander for a bit. What if he could control his weapons like how maxi was able to control his ice remotely? Would such a thing be possible? Well when he crafted his weapons already it's done in between his palms so could his palms move the light from a farther range? this was DEFINITELY something Julen wants to practice
He had a very good time with Maxi, he wasn't the type to gloat about having such fun but he managed to kill two birds with one metaphorical stone and had a bit of fun along the way. "this event sure was a blessing in disguise." He mused to himself re-imagining the exercises they just finished doing.
