WORD COUNT; TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy It was the second day of the military event. Yesterday, Alex had promised to bring along Aki to see the big military bear. A couple of misunderstandings along the way had been clarified. The military was in fact not a bear. The whole bear imagry was a mathafor... methiforical?... The word was a little difficult for Aki still. Either case, it was a collection of trained professionals. Professionals that knew about hunting in the city. Knew about hunting and capturing dangerous people. It was slowly dawning on Aki what being a hero was all about, why it was an important thing for so many people. There were horrifying beasts among humans too. Beasts in human skin that could be doing things that no one should be doing. Dangerous humans who, if they were not captured, could cause more damage than any wild animal ever could. The first day had been an absolute blast, with so many different things going on. Today, Aki was getting a little worn out. As much of an excitable wildling she was, she could also be incredibly mellow. Especially when too many individuals were filling up her day with activities and her mind up with ideas. Mira and Alex had both been doing an excellent job at it. Today, it was neither of them two that had gotten up to no good. It was Seiji-san, wishing to show Aki something quite amazing at the military camp. It was way too early in the morning for how late Aki had gotten to bed. It was way too active for a girl that had already run out all her resources yesterday.
They had made the arrangement to meet at the Yuuei gate. Sometime early. Aki was not quite sure, she had woken up to an alarm on her phone going off, hurried out the door half asleep, and now found herself leaning against a tree, almost drooling on herself, almost nodding off. The girl was wearing one of the few sets of regular clothes that she had. Yesterday she had gone to the military camp wearing her school uniform and trek suit, something that had raised quite a few eyebrows. As a result, she had been told to wear something more normal. Something more appropriate. She was in a simple skirt, with a simple shirt and vest. A matching pair of stockings went just above her knee, and a bowtie tied the vest together just above her cleavage. It was exceedingly obvious that the one that had assisted Aki in looking even remotely decent was Yumi. Having a roommate that was good at that kind of thing often paid off in spades...
For now, Aki was half asleep, half awake, half waiting, half hoping Seiji would text her, saying that he'd need a couple of hours, just so the wildling could lie down and get a few more hours of rest. Perhaps he'd be fine with her sleeping on the train. Naoru hadn't seemed to mind during the festival trip, nor did Alex seem to mind yesterday... That'd be at least thirty or so more minutes of catching some neccessary shuteye... ZzZzZZz....

Getting up early wasn't unusual for Seiji. While he wouldn't call himself a morning person, he never truly struggled going to his morning classes either. That being said, when he didn't have any obligations to take care of, he wasn't above sleeping in a bit. Today was different however, he wasn't rising early for work but for play. Or perhaps a combination of the two, though Seiji was very much excited for it all the same. When he heard that the military was going to set up camp near the school and effectively open it to any and all quirk users he didn't really know what to think of it. The entire operation sounded a bit shady at first glance. However once he got past that initial suspicion and learned about all the things they had on offer, Seiji quickly bought into the idea and decided that he'd pay the camp a visit or two.
He was never truly obsessed with military stuff, but he couldn't deny that the idea of seeing tanks and artillery pieces up close and personal was an exciting thought. Not to mention the actual weapons demonstrations and possibly being able to hold or examine some of them. Though he was going for himself, Seiji also decided to bring someone along. Aki was an obvious choice. While at first the idea of getting her close to high-power weaponry was a scary one, Seiji figured she had never seen anything like it and modern weapons was something she'd have to be introduced to sooner or later, if for no other reason than to make it clear how dangerous they could be. He wasn't entirely sure what sorts of activities they offered to students, but based on the interest they had taken to quirks Seiji wouldn't be surprised if the military let them get hands on with some of the things as well. It almost felt strange to Seiji, to be this interested in something and to look forward to it. The years he spent living with his mother had rendered him apathetic, yet as new and surprising as this feeling was, he did not mind it.
The two had agreed to meet in front of the U.A. gate and sure enough when Seiji arrived Aki was already waiting for him. He chuckled to himself slightly as he approached her. "Good morning! Looks like today I'll be the one dragging you around a bit." Seiji greeted her before retrieving a freshly baked muffin from his pocket and tossing it her way. Seiji had brought along a sports bag with some snacks and other basic necessities. Being dragged on hunts with Aki taught him to appreciate being prepared. Speaking of prepared, he had also taken care of their train ride in advance so all they had to do was hop on. Aki's outfit somewhat surprised him now that he had gotten up close. He had gotten used to seeing her in her school uniform and her jogging gear, but the more casual look suited her rather well. "Trying out a new look? I think it's rather cute, you feel comfortable in that?" Seiji asked as he had a hunch that Aki hadn't picked out the clothes herself. Seiji himself was dressed in a simple t-shirt, trousers and a jacket over it, in a way it was no different than his school uniform, just slightly less official.
"Come on, the sooner we get on the train the sooner you can nap." while the tiredness and desire to sleep was written all over Aki's face already, it was something Seiji had anticipated even before he had seen her. He had noticed by now that the wildling operated on a high-energy, low-energy cycle. From what he gathered she had already visited the camp yesterday so he came to their meeting spot this morning fully expecting her to be drained. "I've got a thermos with coffee if you wanna try that. People tend to drink it in the morning to help with waking up. I don't think you'd like it bitter so I added some milk and put lots of sugar in it." Seiji offered as he began eating his own muffin. While he was more of a tea drinker himself, his sister made morning coffee regularly enough that he had a cup or two every week. It was yet another chance to potentially introduce Aki to something new.
Once they arrived at the train station and got onto their train Seiji had yet another surprise for Aki. Once they were seated he opened his bag and pulled out a small pillow. "Here you go. It's gonna make the ride a bit more comfy I think."

WORD COUNT; TAGGED: TAGGED: Fluffy Sniff sniff. The girl's mouth watered. almost immediately. Breakfast wasn't a thing that Aki had been good at taking care of, especially not when she had only barely woken up on time. The whole idea of setting an alarm before the time where you wer emeant to be up, so you could get things done, hadn't really clicked with her yet. There was a sweet, warm scent reaching out for her, trying to pull her back to the land of the living. Blinking tiredly a couple of times, Seiji was arriving on scene. Carrying goodies. The muffin was tossed through the air. Fumbling in her half awake state, the delicious little goodie was dropped from between her fingers, thudding onto the grass with a soft thud. For a brief moment, Aki simply stood there, looking at the baked goodie, before eventually bowing down, picking up and brushing it off softly. Seemingly not minding all too much, the girl began nibbling on the little muffin. While she most certainly was feeling hungry, the tiredness, lack of sleep, combined with the early hours of being nudged around, had left her feeling something she normally hardly experienced. Nausea. It wasn't a sensation that Aki was normally used to, by any stretch of the imagination. It came by the little redhead rarely. It affected her even more rarely. Instinctively, the girl knew, that stuffing her face too quickly in this state would have consequences. Such as barfing up all over the place... "...Aki tired... not care about clothes.."The two of them began moving together, towards the train, Aki being at somewhat of snail's pace at this point in time. The whole thermos, coffee, milk and sugar thing just had the girl looking at him curiously. Aki wasn't exactly sure what any of it meant. Nor was she awake enough to really ask about any of it. So in somewhat of a zombie fashion, while nibbling on her muffin, the two of them made their way towards the train station. At this point, Aki was fairly good at making her way to the train station. However, with how many different trains existed, how many different routes, the subway system, the bus system.. Public transport wasn't exactly something she knew how to properly navigate. Alex had been teaching her how to utilize her phone, by putting in the destination. From there, technology could more or less handle the rest for her...Aboard the train, the redhead girl, as soon as she was sat down, began nodding off again. Soft, warm, sitting in a good spot. Yawning loudly, she slowly sank to the side, nudging her head against the window. Not a single word had left Aki's lips in the past fifteen or so minutes while they had been walking. The girl was operating at a simple five percent, compared to the usual hundred-and-twenty.

It seemed like he had put too much faith in the redhead's natural reflexes. Seiji had hoped that she'd instinctively catch the muffin, perhaps even with her mouth, but apparently Aki was just too tired. Seeing the treat fall onto the ground made Seiji feel bad almost immediately. Aki herself didn't seem to mind too much however and she was munching on the muffin before Seiji had time to retrieve a second one from his bag. The simplicity behind Aki's action could be rather charming at times. Though she was happy to eat it didn't seem like she care much for her clothes or for the coffee in her half awake state. The display almost made Seiji feel guilty for forcing her out of bed so early, but perhaps slowly getting her used to getting up in the morning would be a good thing, after all whether it be school or a job, rising early was pretty much required to function in society. The fact that Aki didn't seem to be a morning person almost seemed strange to Seiji how ever. He would have thought that for a girl who grew up in the wild, an early night and an early morning would be fairly natural considering the lack of electricity, things to do late at night and the need for hunting and other survival needs to be taken care of as soon as the day started. Perhaps the comfort of a modern bed had affected her on some level. Seiji could hardly blame her, his ability to be wide awake at this hour was useful, but it hardly made him happy either way. He couldn't deny the simple pleasure of laying in bed for hours on end.
As the two made their way to the train station, Seiji made an effort to point out landmarks to Aki and try and teach her how to find her way around the city and some of the major points of interest. But seeing as the girl was still operating on auto-pilot, borderline sleep-walking Seiji quickly gave up on the idea, deciding to not burden Aki with further information she wasn't going to absorb anyway. He had actually brought a map along with the intention to show her how to navigate using it, but it seemed like that would have to wait until later. Seiji had to admit that he somewhat underestimated just how sleepy Aki was. He was used to even a tired Aki being more active than this. It wasn't going to be a huge issue for the time being. The train ride would provide her an opportunity to rest and even once they arrived at the military camp, they wouldn't have to jump into action right away.
Things changed very little once they were aboard the train. Rather unsurprisingly Aki fell asleep within seconds. Seiji simply smiled as he sat besides the wildling before gently pushing the pillow underneath her head so it wasn't directly pressed against the hard glass. Seiji spent the train ride in silence, with earphones in listening to music on his phone. It was a small pleasure, but Seiji quite enjoyed the tranquility of a quiet ride, especially by train. All the while he kept an eye on Aki, making sure the girl didn't slip or hurt herself. After a bit more than thirty minutes it seemed like they were arriving at their station. Seiji put his phone away, picked up his bag and proceeded to nudge Aki awake. Hopefully her nap being interrupted wouldn't put her in too bad of a mood.
"Come on, we have to get off now." Seiji practically whispered, trying to wake her as gently as possible. As the doors of the train opened and people started flooding out, both students and non-students alike, Seiji could already hear the sounds of the military base in the distance. Loud noises which were unmistakably shots, the sounds of machinery Seiji wasn't even entirely familiar with as well as the shouting of orders. Just by the sound of it, the base was alive with activity it seemed. Somehow realizing that made Seiji just a bit more eager to get there.
"Let's get going. There's going to be a lot to see I imagine."
