APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
APPEARANCE
She's a tiny thing. One strong gust could send her tumbling, with enough alcohol in her system at least. Previously quite gaunt, her face barely maintains enough plump to ward off worry. As a result, her eyes draw the most attention. Her pride and treasure is admittedly her hair, luscious and extravagant, meticulously brushed and woven each morning.
Long, sweeping dresses are her favorite attire, and overall, her fashion sense is surprisingly chic for someone who recently had to give herself a crash course on Societal Norms™. Her domestic look, however, veers toward the baggy and casual, making her look even more diminutive at home. She used to be a little shy about the ink patterning her body, but she's learned to wear it as a status symbol, a subtle fuck-you to anyone who expects docility. Cumulus clouds hug the right side of her torso, from waist to shoulder, then trailing to wrist.

PERSONALITY
She comes at you with a smile and a hand extended. You can't help but notice that her other hand still lingers behind her back. The fact you wonder why is what gets her going. After spending so many years under a poorly hidden pretense of freedom, she lives for the moments when she has something you don't. Be it material goods or knowledge, she'll dangle it in front of your eyes to remind you she's a step ahead, a tier above, just this once.
Any guesses as to why she took to vlogging, where pretty faces sustain their egos by graciously feeding the insecure and sheltered a few morsels of their enviable lifestyles? Heidi is, after all, a fun-loving, adventurous gal who rocks the live, laugh, love. Almost in contrast to her habit of showing off, she actually abhors capturing her face on film, whether on video or camera. Ghosts of the past don't just disappear, and it admittedly chips away at her sanity, always torn between flashing her name and erasing it away.
Still, she won't hide the fact she's at this school purely to document the craziness. Quirks are still a novelty, and the world needs to know what it's like to be on the inside. She can hardly believe her good fortune, and she can't wait to take full advantage of the people and opportunities along the way.

HISTORY
Accidents happen. Riding high on a string of successful kills, her mother got cocky and celebrated a tad more than she ought to have. It was fine, she'd rid herself of the little nuisance and continue climbing the hierarchical ladder in her organization, a budding startup that specialized in high-risk military operations. Think consulting firm where the backstabbing is literal. However, her superiors caught wind of the mishap and saw an opportunity to invest in the next generation of mercenaries. Talk about long-term planning.
They offered cash. She took the deal. A few months later out popped Eleni, named after the CEO's mother. Paperwork was exchanged, names were signed, and the baby girl became official property of Hambridge Analytico.
At four years old, she was lucky enough to display the first traces of her power. Any longer and she would've been laid off. Unsurprisingly, she possessed an invisibility quirk, like her mother, except with more bells and whistles. In this field, versatility translated directly to profits. She was treated well, though strictly, and learned a plethora of skills such as self-defense and foreign languages. She also played lots and lots of hide-and-seek. She always won, too. She got so good that one day, they let her play outside, adding a rule where if she stuck this secret box underneath a certain black van, Eleni would win bonus points!
Of course, she got those bonus points, and they expanded the gameplay to include all sorts of avenues for extra rewards, from slipping special sugar into someone's salad to poking men in suits with pointy toys. But the one sacred rule was to never, ever turn off her invisibility outside.
Her higher-ups turned arrogant, greedy, and eventually, office politics led to the company's collapse. While the clashing parties clawed at each others' throats, Eleni slipped out, found the key to unlock her ankle monitor, and ran.
The first thing she did was get as far from her captors as possible. She had a feeling it was best to leave and never come back. Stowing away on ships and trains went surprisingly well. Plucking food off store shelves was also a breeze, and lodging became easily accessible once she figured out how hotels worked. Survival was a non-issue, but life was lonely. Her childhood playmates consisted of sketchy adults, and she yearned to integrate herself with society. Thinking back to an old German lesson where she had to read book about a young lass living in the alps, the girl felt inspired to travel to the novel's setting and adopt the eponymous name Heidi.
During her stint in Switzerland, she met kind locals who addressed her many questions, and by piecing the different answers together, she scrounged a new identity for herself. Her constant theft and intrusions also started to make her feel a little bad, especially after realizing how much it inadvertently affected her friends.
It was time to walk the path of the well-adjusted citizen. That meant getting a proper education. Not to mention, her insatiable wanderlust was making her grow tired of this country, so she looked for schools abroad. When the internet showed her an academy that nurtured quirks, she was elated. A different culture, a student body filled with superhumans like her, and most importantly, free housing. With youthful gumption and seemingly infinite time, she slaved away at her application until the fruits of her labor fell gracefully into her hands.
She was Heidi now, and no one could tell her otherwise.
