PERSONALITY
Christian is primarily caring and compassionate as well as dedicated to anything he sets himself in, never going one foot out as a just in case. While Christian struggles sometimes with seeing through the bad in a situation he almost always can seem to find a positive and bring it to light, making him a very optimistic person. This particular trait is rather effective one that allows him to counsel others as it makes others around him not only feel reassured that Christian is there for them but that he will never give up on them. If Christian does happen to see something he doesn't agree with then he becomes exceptionally outspoken, seeking to drive out whatever he views as wrong even at great risk to himself at times.

Christian absolutely hates, to every degree, those who pick on another. He has years of experience of being picked on and can become enraged to a point of near madness when he witnesses it occurring; Christian can see the victim in nearly every incident and sees the world as a place capable of being harsh and unjust place full of racism and discrimination. Despite this, Christian does not discriminate nor view humans as lower lifeforms seeking their extermination but rather misguided and in need of assistance to help them towards a better future. He once hated himself and life merely because of his low self-esteem, however, because of the quirk he possesses, he now regards himself very highly, so much that he often feels as though he makes others feel inferior around him merely by entering the room. Christian has a fear of not being important and, because of this, seeks to make an impact in everyone's life forever; this desire is so strong that he goes to almost any length to be remembered by everyone.

Christian possesses a exceptionally fit and lean body due to his mild obsession with self-improvement from his early childhood. Christian is often described as possessing a commanding presence in his overall appearance and demeanor, often standing tall with confidence and rarely slouches. Rarely does Christian wear tight or constricting clothing, often choosing to wear loose-fitting clothing that are not only comfortable but also cheap to replace; Christian didn't come from a rich background and so he understands that functionality is often more important. When Christian does choose to wear dress clothing which often leaves the shirts and jackets restricting it's only for special occasions and never is he seen with a tie unless required.

HISTORY

When Christian was first born he was born premature, spending much of the first few months of his life on an incubator but ultimately survived. Despite the rough beginning his mother and father never smothered him or got overbearingly protective; Christian was born to Henry and Leslie Townsend in a small town in the middle of nowhere where his mother a local school teacher and his father was a social worker. By the time Christian started school he was already taught a relatively good understanding of right and wrong.

At age four other children began to develop to develop their quirks while Christian was left quirkless (or at least that's what he initially thought), forced to spectate as all the other children were developing and noticed it quickly divided the class from those who did and those who didn't have quirks; Christian himself was singled out more so due to his mother working at the school. Early on in his childhood Christian was shorter and more overweight than a lot of his fellow classmates and as he got older it was only pointed out more as time went on and by age seven Christian had become a target for bullying frequently; his parents never knew as he kept it a secret and due to his quirk was never left with any sort of significant injury to be noticeable.

By the time Christian had hit age eight he had become obsessed with making himself thinner and improve himself that over the course of a few years Christian had leaned down significantly; it did little to slow down the bullying. Despite the bullying he endured he persevered, not allowing them to break him and near the end of the year he learned his mother was offered a position as a principal further east allowing him to get a fresh start at a new school, giving him the fresh start he felt he needed. At the end of the school year he began to focus on training himself to give himself the body image.

Christian requested that his father begin taking him to self-defense courses in order to teach him to defend himself at the new school should he need to, claiming it was because of his small stature and "new kid" status; his confidence at the time was so low that it had little impact at first but ultimately was what saved him in the end. Over the course of the summer he began training in Muay Thai and it was during these lessons that his instructor noted how hard Christian could strike despite his small stature. Eventually Christian began doing body weight strength training and realized how easy it was for him despite his initial hesitation to start out of fear of hearing it would be difficult. Near the end of that summer his parents had packed up and were ready to relocate and, at this point, Christian had gone through a significant growth spurt and was no longer the short chubby kid he was when he was seven. Immediately upon moving Christian found a local self defense trainer and continued where he left off.

The new school was everything Christian had hoped for and more, aiding him in the newfound confidence he had gained over the summer; he was no longer the shortest kid in the class, although he wasn't the tallest either. Christian began to make friends quickly, becoming more outgoing and confident, and when others would ask what his quirk was he would avoid the question, unaware that he had possessed one the entire time. Despite his initial joy over being at the new school it didn't mean bullying didn't exist at his new school and, when he witnessed a quirker bullying another kid that was quirkless he stepped in; it was during this time that he learned he truly did have a quirk. The training he had been doing had made his quirk kick into action without his knowledge and he found himself moving around his opponent and throwing him exceptional ease. From that moment forward Christian from his early childhood no longer existed in his mind and he had only one desire: become a hero and prevent anyone else from causing harm to another like he had suffered from.

Knowing now he possessed a quirk, Christian kicked his training up by adding weight lifting into his exercise routines and found himself quickly out lifting others significantly larger then himself. Eventually, when he heard a school to train heroes had opened up near Japan he knew it would be the only place that could potentially push his limits and, so, at home he would have his mother tutor him so he could enroll in the most prestigious school for future heroes: U.A. High. In order to get in Christian got his family to give him lessons to help him pursue his dream, getting him a private tutor as well to teach him Japanese so he could attend. The summer flew by and eventually he applied and, to his joy, was accepted into U.A. and became an foreign exchange student to the school.
