APPEARANCE AND PERSONALITY
Appearance:
Toma is relatively unremarkable at first glance. He is pretty tall, and while he is thin he is athletically so. He seems to always either have a pensive stare or a cocky smile on his face. Even his eyes seem to give off a sort of vapid arrogance, something that matches his personality pretty well. His physical aura of cocky even goes so far as to affect the way he stands and gestures, with flippant hand gestures and a laid back posture,
While he was young he did not have many issues with positive body image, but he does now. Preferring to wear clothes with long sleeves to cover up his burns and scars he is not a fan of showing much skin. This extends to his Vigilante outfit as well. While he usually wears a blazer or a long overcoat he prowls the streets most nights in a custom made black leather motorcycle suit, with a matching helmet to boot.

Personality:
Toma was a bundle of energy ready to burst most of the time. When the guy wasn't forced to work in the family business as a courier he was either out doing something crazy or trolling Vigilante forums online. But what he really wanted to do was fight crime.
Toma was a chatterbox and a bit of a show off some times, but for the most part, he got along with just about anyone able to tolerate him. Unfortunately, this meant he tended to rub serious individuals the wrong way sometimes.
When it comes to dream and aspirations Toma really just wanted to be a hero, and get paid for doing it. Why spend your life peddling away to some far-flung place when you can do better. Toma injected this same intense desire into almost every other aspect of his life.
Then things changed. After the recent occurrences in his life as a vigilante Toma has become far more serious and pensive. While outwardly he still holds up a half-truth mask of the boy he was, inside he questions everything he had ever believed or thought to be the truth.
When acting as his civilian self he tends to come off as a little distant, with a thousand-yard stare always looking forward and back at the same time. He will smile and joke in context and try to bear a brave face around his few friends but in reality, he has become stricken with a deep and unabiding fear. A fear that he has made grave mistakes, or that maybe he isn't doing enough.
As the Vigilante Sunhawk, his personality takes a shift. For some reason he is more comfortable behind the masks, returning to his wisecracking smarmy self. But really this is a ruse, he tends to constantly think, using the bravado of personality to mask his real intentions and plans. He has discovered that he has become more comfortable with colder calculations and harming people more than he ever had before.

HISTORY
Toma was born to a middle-class family, to a mother that didn't seem to have a quirk. For most of his young life, Toma didn't know he had a quirk either. unfortunately for his parents, Toma did have a quirk, this quirk just so happened to manifest on a crowded school bus. Suddenly ten-year-old Toma started glowing for a few seconds, even though the light lasted only a few second it blinded several of the bus riders and the driver and eventually exploded in a burst of heat that almost caused a crash. Thankfully no one was injured and nothing like this happened again, but Toma remembers a strange man staring at him in disdain and disgust from the crowd of onlookers after the incident.
By the time that Toma was in middle school his power hadn't grown much. He could heat things up and create light but he couldn't do anything really cool. That didn't stop him from getting into trouble and becoming a social pariah. Toma was widely regarded to be a class clown and ticking time bomb, barely making it into high school.
In high school, Toma took an interest in track and field as well as baseball and archery. Thankfully threats of getting kicked out of his favorite clubs kept Toma out of too much trouble. When Toma finally graduated from high school his mother immediately put him to work in the family business as a courier. His mother said it was to give him real-world experience and to keep him busy, but he knew the truth. She hated and feared him, like some sort of WMD about to blow.
One day while peddling to a nearby drop off Toma saw something amazing. Some guy came out from an ally and snagged this woman with a long tentacle, dragging her into an alley. Toma leaped off his bike and chased after the lady. When he came to a dead end he saw the woman, the tentacle man, and some man with a shirt tied around his face.
Toma didn't get close enough for them to notice him, but he saw the woman than the man who promptly started to dial for the police. By the time the police arrived the Hero had disappeared and the mugger had been caught. That was the day that Toma decided he too could use his quirk to help people. From that day forth Toma trained as much as he could to harness his power.
