PERSONALITY POSITIVE ✔ Overly accepting, sympathetic, sentimental, patient, helpful NEGATIVE ✖ Anxious, timid, moody, insecure, indecisive LIKES ✔ Lemonade (or other sour beverages), rain, walking/strolling, romance novels/movies, spicy food DISLIKES ✖ Non-joking Insults (about him or others), dry heat/droughts, being touched without permission, being interrupted, failing PERSONALITY Kaito, despite his kind and accepting disposition, is a paranoid young man who spends much of his time away from people. He becomes increasingly awkward and uncomfortable the more people that are in the same room/area as him, so he prefers being by himself or with a small number of people. When he feels too crowded, Kaito has a tendency to become untrustworthy and prone to lash out. If he is by himself, or with a small number of people he is comfortable with, he is very relaxed and can actually be rather affectionate. He's a sucker for hugs or head pats, giving or receiving them, and other forms of verbal and physical affection. It's very easy to make him happy, as even the smallest amounts of effort please him. He's also, unfortunately, very insecure about many aspects of his personage. It's not difficult to say the wrong thing to him and have him storm off, shut down, ignore someone, or cry. If properly upset, Kaito will delve back into tendencies involving self-harm, something he, unfortunately, has a history with. He is trying to get over his social anxieties and insecurities by interacting with people and taking walks through crowds, with varying degrees of success. | APPEARANCE HEIGHT: 172cm WEIGHT: 65kg HAIR/STYLE: Light blue; covers the top half of his face SKIN/SCARS: Pale; faded scars on thighs EYES: Large, round, light blue eyes (obscured by his hair) NOTABLES: N/A Kaito could be described as a average height, slender teenager with light blue hair. His hair covers the top half of his face, stopping just above his nose. As a result, not many people get to see Kaito's eyes, which are large, expressive and are of a similar color to his hair. Kaito has incredibly pale skin, which, according to him, is because he can't tan at all and only gets sunburnt, not because he is always inside. Kaito is, for a lack of a better term, a trap. His body appears feminine at a glance, which leads somewhat into his insecurity. If he wasn't to inform someone he was a man, he could very easily pass as a girl. Casually, he tends to wear sweaters and large t-shirts under jackets, along with a black-and-blue scarf, colorful skinny jeans, and boots. It usually seems like Kaito tries to cover up as much skin as possible when he puts on clothes, which he does almost unconsciously due to his insecurity. Needless to say, he'll forgo a jacket or his scarf if the temperature is too high. |

HISTORY "Be careful! Your quirk could hurt someone!" That was all that Kaito heard from his parents. Being born to a couple who were quirkless certainly presented some probelms for Kaito growing up. Despite the fact his quirk of being able to charge liquids with energy and fire/launch them like bullets wasn't inherently that dangerous at his young age, as his projectiles could only hit with the force of a light punch, his parents treated him like a public hazard. In hindsight, he would later agree that his quirk could be a danger, but that wouldn't be for several years. It is perhaps because of this constant worrying behavior from his parents that led to Kaito being homeschooled for the entirety of his life. He was often never allowed outside of the house due to his parents thinking something could shock him and cause him to use his quirk and harm others. They had a general distrust of people with quirks, despite the vast amount of people with quirks in recent years, and this extended to their son. Kaito didn't inherently resent his parents for their decisions for many years. He merely went with what his parents told him to do out of love for them. It wasn't until he was about 16 that he began to become increasingly upset with his parents. Despite his timidity and anxiety, both of which he was realizing formed because of his forced hermitic lifestyle, he wanted to go out and be, for a lack of a better term, normal. Make friends, get a part-time job, attend school, and so on. He eventually ran away from home, only to be caught by a recently instated hero and brought back home. Kaito attempted to explain to the hero what was going on, but he was told that they couldn't help him as he was a minor and that he should respect his parent's decision. Now, feeling disillusioned and more upset than ever after being now under almost constant watch by his parents, Kaito turned to harming himself to distract himself from what he described as his own personal hell. The pain allowed him brief moments where he focused more on the sensation of physical pain instead of what was going on in his home. As a result, he was eventually caught in the middle of what he had by that point coined 'stress relief'. Realizing just how much their decision had harmed their son, Kaito's parents decided that they would allow him to go to a hero school, so he could get away from them and live his own life. This decision was hard for them, as they'd tried their best to keep Kaito away from the world they had come to fear. They realized, seeing their son with his own blood on his hands, that they were doing more harm than good, and that Kaito shouldn't suffer for their mistrust of those with quirks. He barely knew how to use his quirk, and it would be better if he was taught to use it to help people than become a villain because of them. Shortly afterward, Kaito was enrolled in Yuuei and he's been much happier since. |
