“ATTENTION FUTURE HEROES!!!!!” An extremely loud voice rang out over the speakers. The Loud and Boisterous voice of Okina Kuchi damn near splitting the eardrums of all the people in attendance. “ON BEHALF OF UA I WOULD LIKE TO WELCOME YOU ALL TO THE THIRD ANNUAL SPORTS FESTIVAL!!!!!” He shouted as the crowd roared in excitement. “TODAYS EVENT WILL PIT THREE OF UA’S YOUNG AND UP AND COMING HEROES!” He continued. “NOW I ASK ALL IN ATTENDANCE TO GET UP AND MAKE SOME NOISE FOR OUR COMPETITORS!” He instructed. The crowd responded to the hype man and the cheers reached another level of noise.
“FIRST I WOULD LIKE TO INTRODUCE YOU TO MISS MISAKO SUZUKI, AKA ORIGAMI!! SHE CAN USE THE THOUSANDS OF PIECES OF PAPERS THAT MAKE UP HER BODY TO DO A MULTITUDE OF THINGS SUCH AS ATTACKING AND EVEN FLIGHT! NEXT UP IS MR. ALVISS WULFHART, AKA SCARLETT SCOUT! HE HAS SOME OF THE ABILITIES OF A RED PANDA SUCH AS BEING ABLE TO SCALE MOST SURFACES OR USING HIS TAIL AND CLAWS TO DEAL SOME SERIOUS DAMAGE! AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST GIVE IT UP FOR KYOUKO KAMINOKE AKA WHIPLASH! HER TOUGH HAIR FOLLICLES CAN BE USED LIKE HER LIMBS BY GRABBING PEOPLE OR OR ATTACKING THEM!" He finished. It was amazing that he seemed to say all that in a single breath.
“IN JUST A FEW MOMENTS OUR THREE HEROES WILL EMBARK ON AN EXCITING OBSTACLE COURSE THAT WILL INVOLVE QUICKLY AND SAFELY CARRYING AN INJURED CIVILIAN TO THE PROPER AREA WHILE AVOIDING THE HAZARDS AND COMPLETING MULTIPLE OBSTACLES!!!” He announced as the crowd continued to roar in excitement. “IF THE HEROES ARE READY WILL THEY PLEASE MAKE THEIR WAY TO THE ACTORS THAT WILL BE PLAYING THE ROLE OF THE INJURED CIVILIANS AND MAKE READY FOR THE RACE TO BEGIN!!!!” Kuchi bellowed.
As the students make their way to the starting area they will notice the three people laying on the ground. And outstretched before them is a mocked up version of downtown that looked like a war had torn through it. And about a kilometer down the road there appeared to be a field hospital. At the moment everything seemed quiet other than the controlled fires, though one would think that would be changing rapidly once the challenge began proper. Each actor had their assigned competitor’s name on their chest, that way each one of them would have the right person. This was intentional because each actor was specifically selected based on each person so that they were on roughly an even playing field so that no one would be too overburdened when carrying them.

Nervous would be an understatement for the girl, who found herself doing the same stretches she'd been doing for the last two hours over and over again. Misako Suzuki had been in life or death situations, and had almost been on the losing end. She'd been working as a hero student for a year now. She was sure she was at least somewhat capable at it. That said, the idea of debuting herself officially to the masses and their critical eyes was intimidating. As she watched the crowd react to Okina Kuchi spell out the upcoming event, Misa closed her eyes and steadied her breathing. Her hands shook a little, but after a few breaths she had her nerves under control. She could handle this. He yelled out her name first, and Misako smiled wide and waved to the crowd. UA Sports Festival was an insanely popular event, broadcast on TVs in most homes. Somewhere in the crowd, Misa's own parents watched on. Of course that only increased the pressure. It wasn't much longer before they were beckoned to the stage to meet their partners. Misako hadn't known either of her two opponents before, but their powers sounded very interesting. She gave them each a soft smile and a nod. "Good luck guys. Let's put on a good show!" She didn't wait long enough to have a full conversation, instead jogging up to the actor that was set aside for her. She smiled and waved politely. "Hello! My name is Misako Suzuki. I'll be taking care of you today. Don't worry, I'll make sure to keep you safe above all." She tried her best to look reassuring, winking and smiling wide. Yes, she wanted to win, but she wasn't going to move recklessly and put her ward in danger. That wouldn't be very heroic. As she got in position, she would wait eagerly for the next instruction. The field looked relatively simple, though she had to admit that the fire had her cautious. There had to be obstacles somewhere that would pop up.

At the roar of the crowd as he entered the arena Alviss not even close to being nervous as he felt pretty natural when given so much attention at once. He was in his element of sorts since an obstacle course would be just fine for the red panda mutant. However he did become a tad nervous when they had to carry real people through said obstacle course, that almost made him lose his nerve that was for sure. That was until he got himself mentally prepared to take on this challenge, he had to be ready if he wanted to prove himself to others.
Alviss waved to the crowd as he gathered himself, putting on his confident smile once again with an eagerness to start this time. Moving over to the one he was going to carry through this obstacle course he would give a thumbs up in their direction and attempt to re-assure them that everything was going to be fine. "No worries here, I'll get you to safety." Alviss said playing his part before looking up toward the obstacle course once more. "This may be a bit of a challenge though. But I am confident I can get past these without injuring you or myself." Alviss said with a smile.
They announced his hero name too it seemed. While that was going to be a surprise for later, Alviss had to focus on this instead. "Time to make my parents proud of me." He said as he got into position.

Race to The sports festival was something that almost every student knew about. Be it from the rumors that flew around the campus to the past festivals that they may have seen before coming to UA. It was a big event for the school and every quirked individual in Japan if Kyouko could say so. So the excitement in the air was very reasonable. Yet Kyouko wasn't sure her heart was in it. While her quirk was quite versatile and probably would do well in the festival she wasn't sure if she wanted to even be in it. The announcer did a great job of describing her and her quirk to the crowd, but when she looked out at the people there she doubted anyone she cared for would be there.
Her parent's never liked her quirk so her even being in the school because of it was difficult as is. Then her friends she had gotten close to over the year have all vanished. Moved to other countries, dropped out, and became vigilantes. You name it each of her friends did one of those things. So she felt alone almost every day in school. Sure she had a few other people she could talk to, but they had their unique personalities that didn't exactly resonate with her as the others did. She couldn't help and wonder if maybe they were watching her wherever they were. The thought of them watching her did help raise her spirits a bit though. She would do this for them. Winning wasn't a goal, but to prove to them she was strong just like they were.
As she approached her civilian she would be saving for the race she tilted her head while placing her hands behind her back. "Whiplash here! Ready to make things easier on you," she would give a nice smile with a small giggle as she spoke to assure the civilian. Even if she wasn't in the best of moods she wasn't about to show it to her subject of rescue. Keeping on a brave face was something she learned after the zombie outbreak. So she was going to use what she learned there to help her out in this festival to the best of her ability. Though if there was one thing she wished was that she had practiced with her quirk a bit more over the past few months. She wouldn't call herself rusty or anything, but just wished she improved more. ### | @tagged | notes ulla The Finish!

“OKAY YOUNG HEROES!!!! NOW THAT YOU HAVE INTRODUCED YOURSELVES TO YOUR VIPS. WE ARE READY TO BEGIN ON MY MARK!!!” The professional hype man bellowed. The crowd also began to roar in excitement and anticipation. “Thank you for taking care of us, we are in your hands.” each of the three actors said politely, bowing their heads. Each of them laid down and prepared to begin as well. As the students lined up next to their respective “victims” they patiently awaited for the event to kick into gear fully. Suddenly a loud cannon like blast shook the air. “ALRIGHT!!!! BEGIN!!!” Kuchi yelled
As soon as the echoing of the cannon dissipated, the fun began. “Oh my god! My Leg! My Leg is broken! Help! Help Me” yelled the first actor. “I can’t feel my arms! Oh my god! Why can’t I feel my arms?!” yelled the second. “I want my mommy, I want my mommy, I want my mommy!” the third repeated over and over again as they clutched their ribcage. As well the distressed sounds of the actors, there were now sounds of fighting from all around the three young heroes. This test was meant to simulate the chaos that they would have to operate in, be it random fighting going on, or the general environmentmental hazards they may face in a battle-scarred city.
As the students delicately began to move their VIPs they must take care in how they pick them up and carry them, as none of them are trained medical professionals so they have no idea what is wrong with them, so caution is strongly advised. But at the same time, they have no idea what is wrong with them exactly, so time is of the essence so they can get to the actual trained professionals.
As the Students were around 500 meters from the first aid station a loud explosion split the air and sent a strong shock wave at the three students. Then suddenly a large 15 story apartment building that was adjacent to the Aid station collapsed into the streets, falling directly on the station. A large cloud of dust and debri filled the area, surrounding the three of them in a thick fog. After about a minute or two the dust settled and the students could finally see their surroundings. What they would see before them was a giant pile of rubble that once was the aid station, the ruble was around 4 meters high and completely blocking the road and their only path forward. “OH NO! IT LOOKS LIKE THE AID STATION HAS BEEN DESTROYED! IT LOOKS LIKE OUR HEROES WILL HAVE TO FIND A WAY TO SAFELY TRAVERSE THE RUBBLE TO CONTINUE!” Kuchi’s loud voice echoed through the chaotic sounds.

Misa's opponents didn't seem to be too talkative, but that was definitely fine with her. She almost preferred it that way, actually. Instead she focused her attention to the course, and narrowed them slightly. It was suspiciously bare, and she was sure that was about to change. The eyes on them felt like a heavy weight, and Misa wondered what her parents were thinking about all of this. They weren't exactly the most supportive of her decision to put herself in danger for the sake of others but... well, she hoped they'd see how far she'd come.
'ON MY MARK!'
The thoughts fell from her mind as if cold water had splashed it, making her hyper focus on the task again. She knew she was quick, and had decent mobility. She only hoped she could keep up with the other two, though.
'ALRIGHT!!!! BEGIN!!!”'
Instantly her actor started complaining about his injured leg. Misa wanted to take off running right away, but hesitated. Instead, paper peeled off her body to wrap around the mans leg, hoping to stop it from moving too much. "I'll take care of you, sir! Everything is going to be okay. I promise!"
She flashed her best smile, hoping that her natural ability to read emotions would help her come across as genuine. Then she turned around in front of the man, helping him climb on her back. A few more strands of paper tried to hold the man in place on her back. That's when she decided to finally take off running. She might have spent the first few moments getting the man taken care of, but she was faster than most people. She was sure she'd have plenty of chances to catch up to the others!
The building, however, had different plans. As the contestants closed in on the building, dust sprouted from the nearby collapse. Misa paused, eyes sharp for debris and hands holding her victim tightly. "Don't worry sir, I can get us through this!"
As vision became less impaired she started running again, this time towards the mess. Her wings sprouted from her shoulders around the man hugging her back. With a flap, she tried to clear the debris from the air. It didn't take long to notice flying with the extra weight wouldn't be very easy. She'd have to get creative. She jumped, flapping the wings to give her a bit of a boost and land on a long piece of the building. Her wings bent backwards, protecting the civilian from any dust or chunks. She didn't worry about scrapes or scratches on herself, no. She'd recover quickly from things like that.
With flying off the table, she used her speed and constructs to build ramps for herself to run off of. She jumped from stable footing to stable footing the best she could, wings protecting the victim on her back. She tried her best not to grimace when bits or gravel jumped at her, until she made it to the other side of the building.

Well looks like it was almost time to start, which could be a pretty good thing since he was eager to give everything his best try. As the announcer said to start Alviss looked around and noticed his person he needed some proper aid to their arms. "Well if you can't use your arms then your legs work just fine right?" he said with confidence. "No worries I got you." Alviss moved to carry the person he had been assigned to by picking them up and resting them on his back using his tail. His tail was pretty strong despite what some might think and that was how he was going to manage to win this. Using his tail like a seat belt to a car he had it wrapped around the person's waist as all he would need to have the citizen do is use him like a horse using their supposedly functional legs. "I'll get you to safety so please ride on my back for now." Alviss would say as he got on all fours and got ready to do what he did best.
That was until he heard a loud explosion and felt a rather large shockwave shake him to his core. He remained strong and kept his footing despite the large shockwave and despite being nervous as all heck he kept a smile on his face. He had to keep smiling so people knew it was safe to be with him. 'I will be a hero. That is my goal.' he thought to himself as suddenly the dust cleared from the rubble. "Okay no problem. You holding on tight with those legs of yours? Don't worry about me letting go either, you are safe with me." Alviss re-assured. Now was the fun part, well fun for him as he was now on all fours and began to sprint toward the collapsed building that was blocking the their way forward and just proceeded to climb up it as he made it up the rubble without much issue. It was still a lot of rubble to climb however but he was sure he could do it. This was not the only obstacle he bet though, their had to be others since he knew this kind of obstacle was his kind of thing to tackle.
His Red Panda quirk working its magic as he scaled the building much like a tree while on all fours but also making sure he had a tight grip on the person he was aiding with his tail acting as a seatbelt while they presumably used their legs to ride him like a horse. "Heh no problem." Alviss said confidently as he scaled the building but also keeping his senses open for anything new that could be in his way. Being a Red Panda mutant meant he could use his Enhanced Senses to see in the dark, hear really good and even smell better than most others. "Nothing out of the ordinary yet but I'll keep on the lookout." he said mostly to himself but also to the person he was carrying.

race to
The race would start soon after and things were in full swing. Her assigned civilian was a child crying for their mommy. Kyouko immediately bent down and placed a hand on the child's forehead to check for a temperature and to form a bond with them. She would gently say, "We will find your mommy together now ok?" She gave the child a warm smile and a soft giggle as she let down her hair to wrap the child in a swaddle. Picking them up and carrying them as gently as she possibly could. She knew she wouldn't be the fastest in this scenario much less when she was carrying for the child, so she decided not to be the fastest of the group, but rather to make sure her civilian was safe a secure through the whole ordeal.
As they made their way forward Kyouko would continue to give supporting comments to the child and even would sing a song for them so they could feel a bit calmer. Kyouko didn't know if it would work or not but keeping their attention away from their injury seemed like a good idea. Then as they got closer to the aid station through a building collapsed crushing the station. Well, that certainly wasn't good. Especially since her first thought would be to go over the debris, but with the kid possibly having ribcage damage it might be best to limit her jumping. "Let's look for a way around ok?" she would say to the child as she walked around the debris to look for a clear path. This by no means would cause her to be in the lead, but honestly keeping the child safe was her highest priority. "Hey let's play a game while we look for an opening. I spy something with my little eye something," she would look around her surroundings, "that's purple." ### | @tagged | notes ulla the finish
