Welcome ladies and gentleman to the Saikyuen building. Driven out here by bus, the take down test will have been your third test of the day. You've handled disaster control, you're a dab hand at speed rescue, and now finally? A direct challenge. You and your classmates versus a hero and their sidekicks in the role of a villain. To provide challenge, the third years have been divided in half, and Jack, Meara, and Eli found themselves formed up together on team A, taking the exam before the other half of their third year comrades. Amongst them were students Yumi, Jaz, Reddarc, but their moments of glory in earlier exams had left them a little exhausted. Plans had been formed as a team, and it had been decided, whatever they were about to face, the trio at the head would be these three key students. It was time to see if they had what it took. "Oooookay..." A tired looking man in a suit flipped through the notes on his clipboard, clearing his flemmy ass throat as he didn't even bother looking the students in the eye. "By now you know the drill... so long as you don't attempt to bust through the outer walls of the examination area, everything is permitted, and you will be examined on it. Every action will be scored positively or negatively and a final score will be taken by a team of experts for your final grade and ultimately your possible certification. 'true success' in terms of the exam, is not necessarily what you need to graduate, just a clear sense of your training and preparedness for the real world."Clearing his throat again, he shook his head and stepped aside. "This exam is known as 'take down'. Your scenario is that you have been formed together as a take down team for a criminal organization that we finally have evidence to take down. It is your job to aprehend their leader, and bring them to justice." Every student was handed a set of cuffs by an eager looking intern with a feline tail. Much more energy than the man giving them the run down. "Get these on their leader, their quirk will be 'inhibited'." Heavy air quotes were given, displaying these were fake and had no such capability- "And escape with her. Every sidekick apprehended will also be a positive in your favor, but the key goal is the leader. Let's see what you can do. Remember, action only commences when you hear the buzzer."He gestured to the slowly opening steel doors, light streaming into the dimly lit prep room. Entering, it would once again be clear the saikyuen building spared no expense. A long paved path lead up to a traditional japanese tower up a wide and long staircase (much longer than the image provided. The walls briefly seeming to be cold steel, fizzled and shifted before a holographic image of waterfalls and mountains in the distance came to life, and a small chill and breeze filled the room to create the artifical sense of being in a chilly mountainscape. The doors of the tower opened, and out stepped the hero students may recognize from take downs further up the country, the red headed heroine, True strike. Striding out in her hero garb, a bandaged torso and flame patterned Hakama. A single sheathed blade was held in their hands, and firmly planted down into the ground infront of them. Despite the seemingly light impact, it seemed to echo throughout the room like a booming quake. Several other 'heroes' stepped out beside the key heroine. They were dressed in ninja-esque garb, disguising their identities, and thus any sense of what their quirks or capabilities may be... but more keyly, it made one thing clear. Their target was Miss True Strike

After weeks and weeks of stress, the time had officially come for the licensing exam. Of course Eli was nervous! However, he was also bolstering with confidence. The first of the three tests he would complete was the disaster control, where Eli rescued some volunteers from an Earthquake. He started out noticeably nervous, but by the end of it he had gotten comfortable enough to where he could rescue people decently well, being sure not to use too much of his quirk so as not to get exhausted. Then came the speed rescue, where he was actually meant to rescue more volunteers, but this time 3 of them had been taken hostage! Eli mainly had focused on the ones scattered throughout, not wanting to waste his quirk too much. He left the hostages to his fellow examinees.
Now though, it was time for the main event. The equivalent of a boss fight in a video game. Eli was buzzing with excitement and anticipation just thinking about it. The man supervising the Exam seemed dull as he explained the only real rule, don't break the place basically which made sense. For one, it was very expensive to hold these exams, especially with this being the first one and it being a yearly event for third years. The last requirement to graduate. Not only that, in a real situation like this you would want to reduce property damage while catching the villain.
The intern then handed Eli, as well as his two partners for this some handcuffs, more for show than anything. The goal was to simply put these on the hero playing villain that they were to face. The three were also told to wait for the buzzer to start the final act of the exam. He looked at the large staircase leading up to the standard Japanese tower, as the doors opened up, Eli saw the female hero they would be facing step out, the hero: True Strike.
Her hair was crimson red, and she wore her usual hero outfit including the blade. Eli's eyes showed his excitement, was he gonna get to sword fight here? If nothing else her sidekicks that would act as henchman were likely to have blades as well. Bandages aligned the woman's top body, covering the top half of her body. Eli then looked at his two companions at the forefront of the rest of the 3rd years there throughout this exam, "You guys ready?" He asked Meara and Jack before looking back to the rest of his classmates, mainly noticing Yumi, Red and Risaka specifically, but now wasn't the time for conversation.
He wore a makeshift hero suit with no specific benefits, a unbuttoned jean jacket partially covered his red shirt, with his jeans being covered by a pair of brown boots. Matching gloves refused to reveal his hands and arms, covering all the way up to his jacket. A belt held his pants up while a scarf of yellow was slung across his neck. The final piece of his costume was a single sheathe strapped diagonally on his back, he was ready for the excitement. Before the buzzer sounded, he used this time to prepare for battle, making a diamond sword in the style of a falchion and a Medieval Royal Crusader shield with a blue lion printed on the front. His sword laid in his sheathe until they would begin.

Meara was walking up to the area where she would be taking the final part of their exam. She was extremely excited to go and finish this three year odyssey on a high note. But she was also extremely nervous that she would somehow mess it up and not pass the exam. What would happen then? This was all she knew and all she wanted to do, so she had to pass. “Stop thinking like that O’Connor, yer gonna be fine. You and Eli got this.” She thought as she walked up to where the blonde boy was at. After listening to the long, and honestly dry and boring speech the dull man droned out. Meara looked at the handcuffs that the intern gave them and put them into her suit compartment. “So, just got to get these on her; should be easy enough.” Meara said with a chuckle. While yes the task was an easy one, the road to getting there was going to be anything but.
She looked over to Eli and nodded at him. “So, unfortunately Jack’s not gonna be here with us. He got extremely sick and can’t make it. But Yeah I’m ready.” She said to him. She was pretty upset that her boyfriend wasn’t going to make it. And she knew he really wanted to be here. But she knew that Jack would be cheering his heart out for them. “So what’d ya say we do this one fer Jack.” She said as she suited up. Her body became covered in her dark blue and black armor and both her arms were fitted out with cannons. “No point in holdin back Eli. Cause other than killing us, they aint gonna hold back.” she said with a confident smile. “You take that Half, and I’ll take the other. And let’s see who gets done first.” she said, trying to spark Eli’s competitive side.

Miss True strike narrowed her gaze as she looked over the small hoarde of students down the bottom of the steps leading up to her ‘den’ for this little mission, resting a hand on her hip, the other on the sword planted against the ground ahead of her, just looking over them, examining them, taking in which of them she may have to keep an eye out for and which of them she should be singling out to take down. Some of them looked weak and tired, while others seemed raring to go and full of energy. As much as she should focus on the weakest links, she knew the point of this exam was to test them beyond the tests that came before. If some of them still had energy left to give, she had to make sure that wouldn’t be the case after this test.
“Men. Move!”
Just as she yelled, the siren seemed to blare and they were given their signal to charge. The sidekicks that had been lining her sides began to charge down the staircases, but one of them seemed to push ahead of the pack. They seemed to make a variety of hand symbols, with one consistant feature. Everytime they made a new gesture the number of digits they had extended increased. First just the thumbs, then a pinkie to go with it on each hand, and so on until their whole hands were opened and crossed over their chest. Then, their quirk activated.
Barrelling down the stairs were not just the 4 sidekicks now, but in puffs of smoke, a micro army of goons replicated from the leading sidekick. Two groups of one, two groups of 2, and so on, with 2 groups of ten at the back of the pack, expanding out into a long line to make sure no one could easily sneak through the descending army and get up to the top of the stairs.
Eli and Meara were challenged with a wave of easily destructible goons wielding on theme kunai and katana as they descended the steps. If any were punches or kicked, they would fall apart as if made of paper mache’, crumbling with ease, but their own blades and weapons would seem entirely real as Eli, Meara, and the students behind them had to power a line through the first wave of ‘sidekick’.

Apparently, Jack hadn't given the people over the exam enough time to remove him from the roster and it turned out, according to Meara, that he was sick. "He'll have a makeup exam I'm sure." He said upon the blonde girl's arrival. At Meara's comment of each of them taking half, Eli couldn't help but grin, "A race then, first to clear their side wins? And what's this shit about holding back, you know me well enough to know I don't have restraint." He finished.
As the test seemed to approach it's beginning, True Strike looked over all the students here, resting one hand on her hip, and the other on her sword. Eli's eyes gleamed, wanting to go directly into battle with her, his blade of diamond against her own. She seemed to be strategizing, would she go straight for the two of them? Trying to syphon their energy out? Or would she cut out the weakest links. "Don't think about her strategy, think, focus on your own." He muttered to himself before giving Meara his stereotypical grin, "We got this." He reached his hand out for a fist bump.
Whether she returned the bump or not, True Strike spoke, officially beginning the exam. Simultaneously as she spoke, the siren officially beginning this event sounded. Her sidekicks charged downward on the staircase, with one of them being ahead of the rest. The one in front seemed to be making hand symbols, he was gonna be the hard part excluding True Strike herself. Continuing down the stairs, there were more than just the four now. Appearing in a cloud of smoke was an army of massive proportions. This was very obviously the lead guys quirk. "I'm nicknaming him Shadow Clone." He said to no one in particular. In total there were now around one hundred enemies now. Sneaking up to the final boss of this stage was unlikely with how spread out they were, though someone was bound to attempt it.
Fast approaching was the first wave of enemies, a handful of the clone copies. Eli naturally grabbed his sword and barreled towards the first one on the right, "Dibs on the sword fighting lady by the way Meara! You can have Shadow Clone." He would call out, though in all likelihood they would need to team up. As he got to the copies, he would swing his sword out to one's left side, the kunai it had wouldn't have had much reach. Whether that destroyed the clone or not, Eli would move on to a second one, this time with a katana and connect blades with them. He was hype as all hell.

Meara let out a loud laugh at the other blonde boys comments about never holding back. “Aye, when do either of us hold back?” She asked rhetorically. Yeah neither one of them were exactly known for holding back, be it a friendly sparring match or an actual fight. And as for strategy, that also wasn’t their strongest attributes either. As far as Meara was concerned, the only strategy in this fight was to keep things simple and smash through the paper clones before engaging in combat with the one Eli referred to as “Shadow Clone.” She punched Eli in the shoulder as she scanned the incoming wave of clones that were bearing down on them like a tidal wave. “So what ya say Eli, loser buys the other one dinner?” She said, cracking her knuckles as her quirk activated. Her familiar black and navy blue armor coating her body. “Systems at 100% ma’am” her female robotic AI informed her as her HUD lit up. “Good, let’s kick some ass DANII.” The young heroine said to the AI before both her arms turned into cannons. “No holding back right?” She yelled to Eli as she charged ahead.
Meara wasted no time in opening fire as she charged at the incoming horde. She fired a volley of energy blasts from both of her cannons. Three of her shots struck true, she couldn’t tell if they were clones or not due to her having to keep her eyes moving as the wave of goons surrounded her. Her left arm shifted from a cannon into her normal armored arm, but now it had a retractable blade that extended out about a foot from the end of her arm. A couple of the clones' katanas swung at her and she was able to block their blades with her own. As she went to blast them, two more that had Kuni came up behind her and swiped her in the back and her legs with their blades. She let out a grunt from the impact of the blades. Thankfully for her and unfortunately for them the blades left no more than a few scratches on her armor. “Nice try mates.” She said with a smirk as she blasted the two she was locked blade to blade with. Two quick blasts and they were reduced to crumbled piles of paper mache. She did a quick front roll and got some distance between her and the ones in the back. She watched as they slowly encircled her, their weapons glistening in the light. “Aight, who’s next?” She said, her tone bordering on the cocky side as she slowly spun, trying to keep everyone within her sights, daring them to get in close again.

As each clone was struck, the analogy of 'shadow clones' was certainly a fair one to make. Much like the anime the idea came from the clones burst into small puffs of smoke, briefly blinding those who destroyed them but with enough ease for the person to escape and rejoin the fray in the next moment. Each blast of Meara's cannon or a slash of Eli's weapons was enough to take them down with a clean hit. Typically they'd be more prepared to defend themselves but... well, trained heroes and sidekicks had to at least have the mind to hold back a little and make this a passable experience now didn't they?
Hearing the calls of the key students however, the remaining clones converged on the armored young woman. If she was going to be the one handling them? Well they'd make sure to kick it up a notch for her. While at first it may seem like the clones were blindly charging her, another one or two perhaps poofed on their approach, a horde of them charged firmly into the face of danger, coordinated from each angle, and turning swiftly on the spot, they drew their short blades, and rammed their own torsos, their backs to Meara.
Multiple clones dying in quick succession, all surrounding Meara, coated her in a thick cloud of smoke, enough for the true sidekick, durable for more than a few blows, burst into the smoke cloud, trying to strike quickly across Meara's torso with enough power and precision to slice through her armor if necessary.
Eli meanwhile would meet the eyes of Miss True Strike. Her eyes narrowed harshly as she spotted her chosen foe, pulling her blade from the ground and slicing the air off to her side, gesturing for him to 'come closer' with an inward curl of her fingers. Her expression was stern and firm. Not cocky or confident. She faced him down with keen eyes, judging, ready to examine the efforts he made.
Her hands raised above her head even while he still had a fair distance to clime up the stairs, the blade gripped firmly in her grasp, before swinging down in a single defined strike. There was a moment of silence, a tiny, miniscule one. The air did not seem to be cut by her strike... until it was.
The sound came first, a flicker of the air before him, before a devestating, refined blade strike capable of cutting even his diamond came down on Eli despite the distance between them. He'd have a half second at best to recognize the attack, and react.
