Tag: Kirk BlusterAnother day, another morning. Lewis was up at 6 am once more, like his routine dictated. Not necessarily an early to bed, early to rise type, Lewis was a morning person nonetheless. This was thanks to his set schedule of a routine he set himself. Wake up at 6 and do a few small exercises to get the blood pumping. Hop in the shower quickly and then follow that up with a smoothie, an actual breakfast would come later. Do a few stretches, and then the day would really begin. By the time those few tasks would be done, it would be pushing 6:45 and that was when he'd start his morning run. The distance of the run was never really set, but Lewis always had a set amount of time he'd run for. Since most schools started at 8:30, and he still needed a proper breakfast, he would set out for a 45 minute run. This would give him an hour after he got back before his classes would start, allowing him to have another shower and get some actual food into him. Checking the weather on his phone, he noted it was a bit brisker than usual, but other than that nothing out of the ordinary. The sun was shining and there were minimal clouds in the sky. He debated a shirt or not, given the temperature, but opted to go without. His body would warm up naturally and thanks to his internal heat, he would stay warm. A shirt would help, but he'd just start sweating and have more laundry to do. After putting on his shoes, tossing his phone in his shorts pockets, and putting on some music to listen in his earbuds, Lewis bounced a few times on his digitigrade feet. A few more stretches followed and then he was off. His pace wasn't lightning fast, but the purpose wasn't speed. His running never was about becoming super fast, but it was more so to help his endurance and up his stamina. He found it went hand-in-hand with his boxing training. It didn't take long for him to find his grove. The school grounds were a great place to go for a run. Nice and quiet, and there were never many people around to gawk at him. He really couldn't blame people if they did however, he did look like an actual devil.

Kirk had lately been in a very contemplative mood. His graduation was coming faster and faster. Every single day was a day closer to being an actual hero. Honestly, he had not been able to really put it into words how it felt. Perhaps it was similar to him leaving his old school behind like back when graduating from primary school. Perhaps it was just the fact that a lot of the folks he knew from here he had gotten way closer to than most from those places. Or maybe it was just the fact, that this place had pretty much covered all of his physical needs for three years, that was making him wonder if he could ever enjoy these facilities again.
...on the other hand, there was one other primary reason why he was specifically right now feeling so contemplative. It was 6 am. Now, even though Kirk was always an early riser, there was always five minutes of pure thought and mental recovery. Almost like his body wanted to compensate for the utter lack of negativity from him most of the other days. Oh yeah! Another thing to feel contemplative about: The school had probably made him use his noggin way more often than before. There was a slight worry he would never get to properly use it again.
Okay, that was perhaps a little bit silly, with how his internships had gone.
With that reassuring thought, he bounced up, and proceeded to make himself breakfast! A thing that got his bicep working proper for a while, whisking himself some savoury pancakes, and frying some bacon on top. Now of course, this was not the healthiest meal to start the day with, but it was certain to fuel his morning activities definitely! Right after this meal, he just proceeded to put on his outdoor clothes, skipping showers entirely. What was the point of taking a shower, right before a sweaty morning outside? That would require TWO showers! Besides, that one shower would feel way better with a body all sorts of relaxed and warmed up!
With that, Kirk stepped outside, huffing the cold air into his guts! "AAAAAAAAAaaaah....!" Now THATS a wake up! Just feeling the cold pinch every single tired wrinkle inside of him, and filled his lungs like a balloon really got his muscles wanting to move! And with that, he fell onto his hands and toes into the snow, before taking off with a glorious sprint! His woollen cap, and a semi slim coat, with thick pants and snow handling sneakers launched the stuff into the air, as his huge form pushed against it like a humongous sail! For a while, he was just going forward like a rabbit, and not slowing down! The only way to get your muscles warm, was going quick and hard from the start, be it stretching or actual work! Of course this pace had a bit of an awkward side effect in this weather, that his cheeks were turning bright red, as the frost pinched them. Kirk chuckled a bit. Yeah, that's not even an issue. A bit of cold was to be expected. It was not like his body was completely frostbitten red, like that one guy running over there. Who would be so stupid to not put a shirt o-
Wait a minute...
"DUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUDE!" The responsibility sense kicked in immediately, as he realized what was happening! Some guy he had never seen before was running in the cold snow without a shirt on! And like a megaphone, Kirk as usual commanded the attention! "What the heck are you doing!?" With those three years of training, catching up to this dude wasn't exactly a hard job. Especially when a fellow worker out was seemingly doing something silly! "I know there is like stamina training and what not, but jeez, you're just gonna catch a cold like that!" Now admittedly, Kirk didn't exactly have any idea if this guy had done these shenanigans before. But he certainly knew what was a healthy workout prospect! He outright started to unzip his own coat, revealing a bright orange woollen shirt underneath. "I know I know, clothes are uncomfortable whilst doing this sort of stuff, but you gotta have some common sense, man!" He pretty much slammed the coat ontop of the boys shoulders, and proceeded to waggle his finger! "And ain't nobody enjoying a workout with a cold!"

Lewis' jog was going about the same as it always went. Thanks to his music, he was in his own little world. It really didn't help him focus. The young teen also made sure that his playlists of music were all riddled with lyrics and very few instrumental intervals. The more words hitting his mind, the better. It was like mini-conversations to occupy his thoughts. He really disliked being alone to think. The last thing he wanted to do was focus on his own flaws. While it was good to contemplate on your flaws to grow as a person, it was also good to not dwell on them. Lewis tended to dwell on his flaws. A lot.
As the teen continued his run, he almost didn't hear the voice shouting out to him. It wasn't until the other was running right at him, still calling out, that Lewis finally noticed he was being yelled at. He slowed his jog down and began to jog in place, pausing his music and pulling out his earbuds. He raised an eyebrow to the other as he began to exclaim about the cold. Lewis' nearly solid yellow eyes went over the other teen as he listened to his words. He was a big guy. Quite a big guy.
Lewis blinked a few times before turning his head away from the other. Breathing out a small burst of flames into the air, he looked back to the other. "I'll be fine, but I appreciate the concern" As the teen spoke, a small bit of yellowish-orange light could be seen coming from the back of his throat, a symbol of the fire inside of him.
The cold really didn't bother him at all. His skin was already hot to the touch, and as he worked out, he just got hotter and hotter. "It's honestly fine. My body generates heat and fire, so I can handle the cold easily" It was a quick explanation, as Lewis figured the other probably didn't need a full run-down on his quirk or abilities. The teen motioned to the others' jacket, as it was still open. "Perhaps you should zip back up" The young teen did appreciate the others concern. It was nice to be approached and not asked right away about his looks, and it was honestly kind of a shock to receive concern for his well being first and foremost.
Lewis wasn't the best conversationalist however, and he really wasn't sure exactly what else needed to be said, but he wasn't about to just run off. He continued to jog in place, keeping his body active.
