Being With You (Hana)

Kai looked over his shoulder to G once his father patted him on the head and he smiled and laughed shortly before looking back in front of him and Hana was glad he did that. She pouted, unbeknown to her, and continued to talk about what she was bothered by and so on. "Maybe, I told him he can't do that, same as that he cannot throw his food away while I try to feed him or something along those lines. I don't want to restrict him from discovering things but we can't have him eat his toys or sand or anything like that and he should not squish his food and throw it away in a tantrum, they are rare but sometimes he doesn't like it and he just throws it away." Basically she did not want a Miku, who was picky about every little bit of green she put in front of her, so she literally had to hide it in other foods to get the girl to eat and sometimes she still discovered which food she hid where and it was a challenge to make food at home. Also, she started to pick up which food Kai really did not like or which he copied from Miku and just said bleh towards. "I don't know what the best way is to correct him, I don't want to tick him or something like that." A smack on the fingers can't be good right.

So they got off, she checked if G was carrying Kai before she left, "We will be fine I am sure, and maybe we should just go visit Aunty Sayaka and Uncle Yuu, I feel like we only use them as babysitters, what about me inviting them for dinner once in a while or something? I mean we see them in a few days for the wedding, they were really happy with the invite and I was so confused about the reaction as if at any given point in time they thought they would not be invited." Was she like a bad kid herself? She took the stroller and turned it around so G would be able to put Kai in it and followed up with pointing at the little cars, it looked like old cars and you could sit in it and they would follow a trail, it looked cute. "Oh, ehm, on your shoulders I think would be fine, he knows how to hold on to things now." She wasn't sure if Kai would understand what to do, but she was amused by the idea. "Do you want to try now?"

Maybe instead of going to the little cars they should walk around if the shoulder thing worked. But she would just first have to answer Gil before. "I don't want that, I don't want a good cop or bad cop thing. I want us to always talk, decisions have to be made together and not the typical thing about dad's saying go ask your mother or the mom saying only if dad agrees, like no I will go to you or you come to me and we decide together." That meant they would have to discuss such things and see how they would do it, they were already doing this for Haruuhi and Miku so it was going to be fine, she was sure of that but a lot more questions would come to them when Kai would grow older and that meant a lot more things to discuss eventually.

She blushed, "You know the smack on the fingers." She looked away, it felt so weird to say or think about and now she felt slightly horrible for even saying it out loud and she just walked a few steps further now that they were out of the teacup ride. She did not want to think about it, she did not like it, but she got used to that, pulled by her shoulder, her ear, anything to be brought to her room. G wasn't the only one who had no idea how to fix it, by the time Hanako was taken in by her aunt and uncle it had already been so long that she did not see the difference and so on. "What about we invite them every three or four weeks, gives us also an excuse to go home earlier and focus on that day, I want to thank them for always being there when we need a sitter when our other one isn't possible." Surely they had a baby sitter but Hanako much preferred to bring Kai to her aunt and uncle. She looked up quite happy when she heard him say they were family because she did not want to force that on G but that's the only people they had.

So when they finished that part of the conversation she would lift up Kai, ask G to lower himself and put their little boy on his shoulders, "Hold on to dadda, okay?" Kai nodded, almost fell backwards because of that and then quickly held on to G's hair, it was something, then hands around his face, and if G took his hands, he would hold on to his father, it was quite a cute thing to consider.

It was going all well, the teacups ride eventually pulled Kai out of his fear of the harsh music and the ride and seemed to enjoy it. She was glad and she was also glad G agreed and as he held her, she squeezed his hand softly and smiled at him. It was going well and they would manage to make it better and they were going to develop and become great parents. She worried for a second and as she turned her face, that smile dropped, she wondered about the girls. She was sometimes wondering if they neglected the two of them but also if they kept pushing G and her away and she did not know what to say or do about it, she did not want to bring it up and ruin the moment, because it was going so well. She was glad that he thought about her family and she was happy as such and she held on to that moment. She was happy and could not help but ask if he really meant it for example and she would want to hold his hand but that was impossible when he held Kai but it was okay. She smiled and she should have known because G always was the one wanting a family, while she had been the one to push it away. She kissed Kai on his cheek as she couldn't kiss G.

So she would help the two of them to get Kai on his father's shoulders and she pulled up her shoulders and grimaced at the two as Kai wasn't sure what to do and held on to G's hair and didn't get what to do, his nodding almost let him slide off but she caught him and pushed him back and finally they held hands and she smiled and giggled, "Wait, wait I need a picture!" She would quickly grab her phone from her pocket and took a few steps back before making a picture, "Smile!" she laughed shortly when Kai exaggerated in his smile, it was very cute and it seemed she had taken enough pictures of him and said that, that he knew how to react. It was going fine and she was happy today. She took the stroller and said they could try to walk to the cars which was not that far so they could nicely try it out to see if Kai wasn't too wobbly.

She kept looking up to Kai, it was likely possible that Hanako would bump into something instead of the other two. He seemed to look around a lot but also from time to time look at his father and he giggled and laugh, oh he was her precious. This was going great, "Kai, you want to try out the little cars?" She pointed at the cars in front of them and he wobbled a little, kicking his legs back and fort for as far as he could, "Yes, yes! Mama go!" he said happily, okay well that was something, "Calm down, you hurt dadda." He immediately stopped and tried to look at G by leaning over the right side of his shoulder.

Everything could not be saved on pictures but will be in her memory, such as Kai's first steps at the beach, he was already doing a little bit better than there and it was funny to see him wobbling on like a little penguin. She quickly grabbed her phone and took a few steps back to make a couple of pictures. Hanako couldn't help but laugh a little, her shoulders shaking as Kai copied his father's big smile and thus the resembles of the two being a little more obvious than normal. She would walk back when she finished taking the pictures and tried to not laugh too much about it anymore. She would walk close to G and Kai to make sure he wouldn't fall off or any other complications would happen, she just watched, little carefully, cuz that would be bad if that happened for sure. She just tried to not be too panicky, it seemed like the two enjoyed themselves, she shouldn't always be such a negative nancy.

She smiled and hit her smile with her hand and looked at G as he spoke up to Kai, who softly drummed on Gil's head when he asked what was funny. Hanako would just try to get Kai's attention and point at the new ride that they could try and Kai started to wobble more and kick his legs against Gil's shoulders until Hana told him to stop. This was another moment that made her look at G and wonder if she did okay, wasn't that too strict. Kai would look at G by trying to hold on to him and just see if he could see his father. He would have to get off eventually when they finally reached the cars and she helped him with that and let him walk if he wanted to while she finished the struggle with the stroller. She would join them in the queue, it was a decent day, not too busy and she leaned to G's shoulder and smiled at Kai who was looking up at the two of them. Today was a good day.

She was glad to see that someone was having fun. She herself did as well but there were always those nagging questions; wondering if she was being fair to the girls and so on. She was just considering what to do and what to say about it, when she decided it wasn't worth it to bring up now, it was most important that Kai was having fun and that he was happy and that they were being good parents. She was happy that G agreed they could be a bit more strict and focused and that this was going great, instead of kicking his father any further, Kai tried to see how his father reacted and smiled at him as they were trying to make sure to see each other. As she got him in her arms he hugged her shortly and she put him on the ground so he could walk in front of them and stand and watch the attraction of the little cars and she leaned against G and looked up while Kai grabbed a hold of her skirt to be able to stand upright and walk to the side to look behind them, she stroked his black hair before looking up at G. "Hm if only you had a wife who could give you massages." She teased him, she would look at it later, "I do think he really liked it." It was their turn before she could answer G's question about what she thought of her day. She would tap Kai on his shoulder and took his hand and said he should take papa's hand too so they walked slowly to the car but it went quite far and she told G they should lift him in the car. "I have a great day. Do you?" She said as Kai sat in between them in the little authentic car and they would watch the route. Eventually, she put him on her lap so he could look over the edge of the window at the dinosaurs, she looked at what he was looking at but made sure she was turned a little so she could lean against G.

There was so much to stress about, including their wedding and other thoughts on her mind but she wasn't going to say that out loud and ruin the day. She liked how he had kissed her in the waiting-line a little before and she loved how she could get close to him without people finding it annoying or something as they could not see in attractions like these as it was just them. It was something for sure.

"I read your mind cuz I am your wife." She said proudly as he smiled at her and she was glad to see that it was exactly what he wanted, it was not really that hard to guess but she would try it once they were home. She let Kai stand on the seat because he could not see it but was ready to catch him in case necessary and she would tell G that she liked today. There were always things that would influence her mood and she tried her utmost best to push those things away and not worry. It was almost impossible for Hanako but that did not mean that she wouldn't be trying, really though, she was going to do her best. Hanako was tired, but she was also laughing and smiling and she was also genuinely enjoying her day with Gil, it was just that she was always afraid that such moments came to an end far too quickly. "I hope so too." She spoke softly but confirming and leaned a bit more into her husband while making sure Kai was having fun as well. There were still so many questions but not for today, and not for tomorrow. They would come around to it some time.

She would just make sure they were having fun. She suggested for G to try the bumping cars, but she did not like it and the same could be said from Kai, as the first bump made him scared and the second made him cry. But G was doing well, parking the car, getting helped out by the man and holding Kai who was wrapping his little hands around G's neck and just crying and crying until out of the bumping cars and Hanako brushed his cheek while he still held on to his father. "Was that scary? Yea, scary hm." She said and went to find something for him to dry his tears and make sure he was distracted, it might be also very tiring for such a small boy like him with all the new impressions and they would try the cable cars and eventually, Kai wanted to go and be held by mommy and he fell asleep in her arms.

As they managed to get him in the stroller, she made sure he had his pacifier and his blue bunny-thing and would sleep on. "You mind to get some food, I am starving." She said softly and they would be able to get some and would consider going home if Kai would sleep on, it was okay, they could come back another time if he had fun though. She was sure that after the bumping car accident it had gone fine. Her heart had made a jump and she had been scared but she had managed to keep herself together and not react too extreme.

After deciding to leave and picking up Koko, Hanako put Kai to bed and would take the baby monitor with her. Downstairs she would offer that massage and to sit outside at their back porch to enjoy the view and the last days of summer, they were going to get married soon, again, but now maybe even more real than ever. She would massage him and let Gil rest and lean against her this time, she just would not mind sitting here in silence for a bit.
