Fancy us meeting like this~?
❝
To be an inspiration…? I’d never though of anything like that… That green gaze growing wider as she listened to the young woman nearby, Miss Crawford had to say that she was somewhat astounded to here such words coming from her energetic junior, though had to confess that the surprise was a happy one.But it’s wonderful! That’s exactly what a hero should be, isn’t it? What a clever girl… And just a second year too? Smiling and squeezing her hands together as she thought about the notion that the young woman had raised and feeling rather impressed by her, while the lessons on responsibility and leadership she had taken had always seemed to be geared toward being an example toward others, this felt like she was taking that lesson a step forward and it felt pitch perfect for this little gathering as well. They, as the future of heroism, really should have been the torch bearers for further generations shouldn’t they?
“G-Gosh, my other aspirations beside work as a hero?” The foreign femme finding herself a little bit flustered however when next it came to be her turn to describe how she went above and beyond the realms of the ‘ordinary’ hero, Chloe couldn’t help but feel her cheeks warm a little as she realized that in this regard she was a little out of depth when it came to her cohorts, especially when it seemed that each of them was reeling off a laundry list of ideas and inspirations for their future careers the likes of which she simply couldn’t compete with in an off the cuff fashion like this.
“Honestly, it’s been enough of a struggle for me to adjust to things here and find my feet as a hero, without even considering how I could be more than that really…?” Smiling softly as a hint of pinkness hung in her cheeks and lifting her fingers up to tease her brown bangs behind her ears as she decided that honesty was the best policy here, while she doubted that anyone would be all that impressed to hear that she was giving her all just to become the best hero she could be that was the simple truth to the matter, and the emerald eyed enchantress hoped that she would not disappoint the interviewers by admitting that this alone had been her focus up to this point.
“Maybe I’m a bit of a late bloomer? I don’t have these talents for modelling or singing or performing, I mean I play the piano but that’s mostly just a hobby, but I suppose that’s why I came here really?” Shaking her head and hoping to not let the anxiety of comparison get the better of her as she admitted that she had been doing things at her own pace, it had been true that when Miss Crawford had arrived here she felt rather behind the curve when she looked at others and right now those feelings of inferiority threatened to seize her again, and so she took a deep breath and tried to remind herself that she was very much a work in progress so to speak and she shouldn’t let herself get too wrapped up in measuring herself by others margins.
“I’d always envied the confidence of people like the women here, and I wanted to try my hand and come into my own as well, and honestly with such talent around me I’m sure I might find a way to follow in the footsteps of my ‘sisters’ at the school? I’d love to have the privilege of working alongside any of them~?” Instead choosing to see that the fine figures around her could be a source of inspiration for her to help her grow and the like, the woman known as White Wind opted to be humble in her approach and concede this failing in the hope that it would lead her to future success, and reason that the retinue around her might at the very least respect her resolve and her desire to keep building on what she was even if she didn’t have a swath of accolades to wave beneath their noses…
