Pro-quirker politicians huh? Ed had never seen politics as a smart option to play in. Mostly because no matter what they did, it would take insane amount of time to get something moderately effective going. Besides, people were still people. He would just probably end up getting kicked again by somebody, even if there was a law in place against it. In the end, if there was something Ed still agreed about with Vagabonds, and Savage especially, it was that getting rid of the problematic person was sometimes the only way to actually get a change going. He himself didn't have the power to kill... but he certainly had the skill to force things in directions he wanted. "...Yes, health inspectors are an absolute pain." He frowned. They were like those nature activists: too many frogs and some of them needed to be gotten rid of. He grimaced.
To his surprise, Marcie proceeded to raise up the cash amount provided. "Truly not a CEO I see." He had a little giggle at it. "But like I said, if it doesn't hurt you, this crook is happy to take it." In the end, the deal was clear. And the rest was sealed with a tired groan from Ed. "Well, make sure its extra hot then, alright?"
For a while, Ed vanished. 6 days to be exact. He didn't visit Marcie the whole time, and Don was very unresponsive about it. For a while, there was absolutely nothing. But on that day when the time was up, Don croaked, and Ed's hand would go *plat* against the window. Slowly he lifted himself up, and if let in, would roll onto the floor. His eyes were veiny and a bit red. He was shaky. And as his eyes scanned the room, he would swiftly shuffle to the coffee cup, gripped it with both hands, and sipped. "Aaaaaah...!" Emanated from his throat, as his cheeks turned almost as red as his eyes which he closed in satisfaction. It was a wide smile indeed. "Aaaalmost worth it, hehe..." He pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Pardon the ugliness, Senorita. Let's just say a weeks worth of spying isn't exactly as sleep allowing as you'd expect." He took another sip, as he put a notebook on the table. "That's his routine. Whatever he does for a week. What a week includes. Of course, that is not what you wanted, but it did help me a lot." With his finger, he started turning the pages rapidly, looking for what he was actually there for... "There!" He pointed at two things in particular: the difference in costs for the apartments. "Looks like the guy has pretty much permission to raise and lower the rent as he wishes... and from what I saw, quirkers had overall 20 percent higher rent to pay. The other apartments from what I've seen have exactly the same size and default things in them, so it caught my eye..." His head twitched, before he took another sip, and lowered his head, with his hand sinking into his vest.
"and from the papers he left on the table before going to bed, one of my frogs noticed this..." He pulled a paper, unfolding it and placing it on the table. Rosita also rose from the pocket, climbing onto the table. The paper was some sort of permit. "Looks like they are trying to get a firearm in case one of them is going wild." He leaned into his chair. "In the end... Looks like you don't need to pay today. Job was... easy but exhausting..."
