♥ better than a pro hero! ♥ Serpent of the TOXIC Sea "Hey! HEY HEY HEY HEEEEEEY YOU CAN'T JUST DO THAT!" Holding up her arms and flailing them in a panic, her little legs scurried to carry her as quickly as they could toward the fast moving couple! They didn't pay attention to her shouts or even look over their shoulders, nothing! SO RUUUUUUUUDE! Puffing her cheeks with a pout as the tiny blue serpent teen squinted as they just kept going on their merry way with their big, long legs...and farther strides in their steps. Normally, she'd give them the benefit of a doubt, but the pair looked at the sign, laughed and dropped their trash anyway! RIGHT IN FRONT OF A TRASH CAN TOO! That was just plain mean and awful! Crouching down as she picked up the cans, she felt tears start to puddle up in her eyes and blinked them away, little droplets rolling down her cheeks as she stood up with a huff. "...that's so mean...what about the little animals and fishies, this stuff can really hurt them..." Mumbling those words softly with a sad little tune to her tone, she adjusted her poncho of trash bags which made it look more like the short teen was wearing a cloak. "Maybe they thought I was a hobo...wouldn't be the first time...booooo...hobos need people to talk to them too, though..." That's right, she had a plan, a great plan! Tilting her head up, she happily hopped and skipped in the sand as a smile turned her frown upside down! "PEOPLE NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO! THAT'S RIGHT, THAT'S RIGHT! YEAH! YAYAYAYAYA!" There was a dream she held dear, it was called to become an urban legend that people wouldn't be disappointed in! Without even thinking that someone might think she's crazy, this didn't even cross the excitable girl's thoughts! "LEGEND HAS IT THAT THERE'S A FOUNTAIN IN MUSUTAFU AND SOMEONE WILL GIVE YOU HOT COCOA MADE WITH LOVE AND LISTEN TO YOUR WOES! EVERYONE SHOULD SEE IF IT'S TRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-" In true infomercial fashion, she managed to trip over seemingly nothing before fumbling face first. "BOOOOFFFFPFPFPFPFPFFFBBBBFFFFFFF" Lifting her head, her energy didn't seem to falter! "TRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUE! YEAH! SUPER DUPER MEGA LOOK INTO IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!" Scrambling to sit up, she eagerly looked around while adjusting her flimsy hood with a confident grin, WHO HEARD HER?! MAYBE ONE PERSON? Ooooo a puppy seemed to hear her, it was yapping and barking in her general direction so she chirped out, "Yeah! Tell your friends, puppy!" Wait....weren't dogs allergic to chocolate?! Flailing her arms up and down, she squeaked out in a total panic, "AAAAAAAAAA! ACTUALLY NO! YOU AND YOUR DOGGIE FRIENDS AREN'T ALLOWED! NOT UNTIL THE COCOA FOUNTAIN GETS PUPPY FRIENDLY OPTIONS, I'M SORRY!" Hmmm it felt like she was missing something...but what ever could it be?!

She would just kiss Giovanni on his cheek and said she was definitely capable of throwing the trash away and that he did not have to worry or get up. She smiled at him and just hoped everything would soon settle down. Truth be told was that she was getting nervous because it was almost a year with the passing of her father. Did she enough? Did she honour him well? Should she think about him more? Could she be so happy as she felt now? She wasn't always sure what she should do even if it felt that he had told her that she should be happy. She was nervous and it was that time of the year and it would come closer every day and she was just so worried about herself and would he be alright in the other world? Sometimes... maybe she should try it for real... a seance where she could try to meet him again and ask him so many questions that were still left because she finally had him back after her search of seven years and then within three months she had lost him again.
These thoughts were always plaguing her mind and yet she tried to manage to stay positive on the outside for each and every one. But sometimes she was so harsh to herself it was a miracle she got up from her bed and so on. It was a little sad that she was only harsh for herself and people underestimated her or thought she was simply stupid. It was a strange combination and she would just puff her cheeks and let out the air very softly. It was still beautiful weather and at the end of the afternoon, Giovanni had told her they should take the rest of the day off and go to the beach. Before it would be too late. How fascinating and funny that they both came from different continents and cultures and yet... some things were so much the same. She hummed a little to herself and walked to the trash can that she had seen before. She was dressed rather easily, she wore a skirt that reached below her knee and a blouse. Her long green hair was braided and her face contained some make-up to hide the red markings that she donned as Witch Doctor. She was obviously not the best at hiding herself from the status of the number one pro-hero... Mia did that with more pride than she did. But she was going to continue as if the rankings did not matter.
She listened to a girl yelling something about a fountain with chocolate? She did not really get it and dropped the can in the trash can and looked at her. Hifumi? At the beach? "Hey? Are you okay?" What a way to start talking to the girl she tried to rescue from that horrible orphanage. There were far too many of those if she had to believe Niso, she should really work harder on that. Well... Marta's was gone... but who knew where the people had gone.

♥ better than a pro hero! ♥ Serpent of the TOXIC Sea The sand speckled and scattered upon her face was slowly rolling off like little slimy beads of sweat. Turning her head to look over toward a familiar voice, she tilted her head. Bringing herself up to her feet, she continued swatting chunks of sand and slime off of her face. This was normal for the short fish, as normal as the sky is blue and the Earth revolves around the sun! Though her education wasn't the best, somehow...someway, she managed to be aware of that little galactic fact. With a small smile, she purred out her words, "Oh hi hi lady~! I'm okay, I just fell, it happens at least one a day!" Holding up a hand with one finger, she waggled it left and right for a moment. Furrowing her brows a bit...she couldn't help but wonder if maybe this lady was reflecting what things she, herself was going through. Hmmm...maaaaybe something was wrong for the nice green haired lady who knew how to properly follow signs and plop trash into the right spot? "Um! How about you, are yooooou okay?" Resting her hands at her sides, she brushed her palms against the trash bag cloak taped together. Trying to get the rest of that sand off of her hands! That stuff was sooooooooo tricky to deal with, the water was nice, but the sand....hmmmm she has plenty of mixed feelings about it! Buuuuut...she'd be lying if the sand closer to the beach wasn't fun to build with. Making neat, cute little things in the sand was fun, maybe she'd do that or offer to make this lady into a sandy mermaid! FIRST, make sure nice lady is oooookay!

What happened to the girl she listened to and worried about before? She looked like... a bit of a walking trashbag with those clothes. Did no one care for her? What about... okay calm down Nimue, not everything all at once or she would have a headache. She watched and said nothing while the girl tried to get rid of the sand and held up a finger to indicate she fell at least once a day. Nimue raised her eyebrow and wondered what to do. "Oh me?" She always got so confused and surprised when people ask about her. As if that was such a weird thing to do? While Giovanni asked her so often if she was really okay and she wasn't even sure if she was okay. She was okay, hello, she was here on a date. "Yea, I am doing okay." Surely there was a lot on her mind that she did not want to consider and would rather forget but ehm, yea tiring stuff would never stop if you thought about it, so why not: not think about it. She smiled at the girl and gave her a little tissue to try and help her get rid of the sticky sand.
"Are you guarding the trash can? So that people don't leave trash on the beach?" She had the idea the girl did not recognize her, which was fine but it might be nice to have a little conversation with her and what she was doing here. She had so many questions but she could not ask them right now without informing the girl who she was and yet... Nimue looked shortly over her shoulder to see if Giovanni was doing fine and not already worried... She wanted to make sure Hifumi had a place to stay and the like.

♥ better than a pro hero! ♥ Serpent of the TOXIC Sea Happily bobbling her head in a nod with a wide smile when she asked if it was the green haired lady she'd been talking about! Because yes, yes she was wondering if the nice lady was a-okay~! With a happily squeaked out gasp, it looked almost like she was ready to celebrate! "Yay~! That's good! OOOO! A tissue for my issue, thank you~!"Excitedly taking the tissue, she wiped away the sand. "Uh huh! That's right, I am I am! I'm making sure people throw stuff away so the cute little animals don't get hurt! Mmmhmm! I'm also advertising a really cool urban legend!" Oooo if she was lucky, it would be like an old news paper! Extra, extra, maybe she read all about it! That would be super cool and mean she was being just the right amount of loud! Throwing away the tissue once she was done tidying up, she began to hobble and waddle off away from the lady who looked kinda familiar, only to come right on back with a couple more pieces of rubbish. Plopping them away into the bin, those big ol' eyes of hers rest their gaze on the nice green haired lady, beaming up with a aren't you proud of me? brand of smile. Why did she seem so familiar? Oh then again, she bumped into plenty of people here and there all willy nilly so of course that's why this lady looked familiar, right? YEAH!

She was such a hyper little thing, was she like that before or had it only increased when Nimue talked to her before. Did Hifumi even know that St. Marta's was no longer? Maybe good not to talk about until everything was ready and cleared up. Nimue herself had not had the time to actually fact check everything. Well at least she seemed happy and excited so that was something and it did improve Nimue her mood as well and she smiled at Hifumi, she looked good... apart from the clothes that is. She tried to nog laugh when the girl said a tissue for my issue but it did sound so funny. She nodded, it was a nice child and she hoped really that she was doing alright. She could not speak to her before she hobbled off to get some litter and throw it in the trash can while Nimue remained standing still and just watching. "That's very noble of you." She said with a little tease, watching what the girl would do.
She put her hands on her hips and looked at the girl, "An urban legend you say?" She wasn't sure if she had heard it before but she was definitely interested to see if it would give her a little more information or where Hifumi stayed and so on. She would rather make sure that she was okay and then she could always see if she would tell her that it was her, Witch Doctor, that she was talking to. It sometimes felt like a little strange thing to do, especially if she kept her identity so secret but it might be worth to try and talk to someone and get a little more relaxed about the whole identity scheme... but what if it brought Hifumi in trouble? Ah don't think about that, how big were the chances she would get in trouble because of a name.

♥ better than a pro hero! ♥ Serpent of the TOXIC Sea Yaaaaaay! The lady seemed glad that she was appreciative of the help, plus laughing which meant positive things. Oh and when it came to the playfully teased out statement of nobility, you know what? The very blue serpent didn't so much as pick up on a single hint of this alleged tease within her tone. In fact, the bubbly teen chirped happily about hearing how she was noble! "Noble like a knight or noble like a queen? I wonder, I wonderrr OH~!"Gasping excitedly at the question of her urban legend, she clapped her hands before wiggling her fingers with a cat-like grin playing across her lips. "Rumor has it that there's a friendly serpent who lurks about the fountains of Musutafu~! When people arrive at the fountain she frequents that day, she offers them cocoa to comfort them and listen to any woes, offering to either be an ear or help them find a solution to their problems~! WooooOOOOOooooOOOOooo~!" That sounded soooooo cool in her head and even better on delivery, nailed it! Well, hopefully the lady would think it was at the very least cool sounding, possibly even try to look into it herself? Aw man, that would be awesome! Bringing her hands behind her back, she rocked on her heels for a moment in the sand with a smile, eagerly awaiting to hear whether or not she'd heard about it before. Probably not, but hey! A girl can dream, can't she? YOOOOOOU BET SHE CAN AND SHE WILL!

Sassy little thing, and yet maybe oblivious about her own sass and just being interested, curious and well over-excited might be a way to describe her too. It was all positive, it could turn negative but Nimue wouldn't want to judge the fish by her scales. The hero was also surprised that even though her childhood was shitty, she still seemed to be careful and kind to her surroundings, even the people. That was a very good thing and impressive, to say the least. "Hm, maybe a bit of both." She decided to answer, she had not really thought about it, but yes, both would fit the girl to say so. She would fight for justice but make good decisions? Maybe one day, she did not remember if she knew Hifumi her age but that was okay, that was not important at this point, it was important that she was healthy and doing okay. With that, Nimue decided to entertain the girl and ask about this urban legend.
Her telling of the story was kind of cute and she liked the body language that the girl performed and with that Nimue tried to convince herself that it was fine at this point and they could let it go about what happened in the past. "Oh I think I heard it, wasn't the girl's name Hifumi?" She pretended to be thinking very harshly as she crossed her arms in front of her chest, frowned and looked up at the blue sky, "I think it was." And the idea of her playing around in a fountain and giving out hot chocolate so people would talk, that was a girl to her heart. It was close to her own culture, where complete strangers would make sure you were okay and she liked that idea, people needed more kindness in the world.

♥ better than a pro hero! ♥ Serpent of the TOXIC Sea WOOOW! A bit of both and even more wow that it seemed like she heard of her, extra wow factors when it turns out that she DID know about it! HOLY COW! She did it! The little vigilante serpent really and truly did it, managing to make have her little urban legend reach someone like this lady. That must mean she was doing stuff right, so this meant she just had to keep trucking along in the right direction and things would work out swimmingly! Unable to contain all that excitement over being known by so much as one person, she hopped, skipped and jumped around the green haired lady as though she won the ultimate lottery or something! This was so cool and wonderfully fantastic news! "It's me! It's me it's me it's meeeeee~! I'm the cocoa serpent, destroyer of sorrow and solver of problems~! THE INFAMOUS URBAN LEGEND, HI-FU-MI KITSUUUUUUUUU~!" Stopping her excitable parade, she skid to a stop in front of the green haired lady, eagerly looking up at her with a big ol' grin that was ready to chase off any misery! "Who are you? What's your name~?" There was just so much enthusiasm since it would be nice to slap a label of new friend in this lady's direction! A name to a face and a face to a name!

It was kind of cute to see the enthusiasm that Hifumi had when Nimue told her about the little legend she heard. It was almost mean to tease her about it because she truly had not heard about it. But she would not have to tell the girl about that anyway. She tried not to laugh too much, she did now highly doubt the girl would notice, but she held her hand in front of her smiling mouth and just watched her as she hopped, skipped and jumped around of excitement. Well, that was much better than the stinky situation she had been in before. She made small applause for her when she said it was her. Giving a whole title and all that made her laugh a little, this time not hiding the sound out loud. She again felt a little paranoid that maybe saying your first name and surname wasn't smart but Nimue let it be. It was better to become easier and more let go with things, she could not focus and lecture everyone and she would not.
When the girl asked her for a name, she wondered for a second if she should say anything. No one was around them, it was easy to admit it. It would also help her with the less negative nancy part. "My name is Witch Doctor." She said, though not dressed at all in her dark grey and blue clothes and just your average; I am going to the beach fashion. So what would the girl do now? Should she have just said Nimue? Maybe she shouldn't overthink such situations all the time, that would help herself a lot. It was just... the easiest way to do; overthink everything. Nimue just smiled and tried to keep that smile on her face, but what could go wrong with Hifumi around?

♥ better than a pro hero! ♥ Serpent of the TOXIC Sea "Huh? Witch Doctor? Why would your parents name you that? I know a Witch Doctor, but she's a hero and looks kinda like you, but not really..." Crossing her arms over her chest, the look on her face made it clear as day that she was in a complete and utter state of disbelief that it was her actual name. PLUS it's like come on, why would she try to mimic a pro hero?! Unless she was...but the markings on her face weren't there and she looked totally different! Subtly tilting her head with a soft and gentle purr of confusion rumbling about in her chest, those big ol' eyes of hers couldn't help but just stare for a moment like...was it possible that this lady was the Witch Doctor and not goofing around? Or maybe her parents had a weird sense of humor...? Even the tiny fish knew own name basically meant one, two, three orange, which was kind of silly but it was a fun kind of silly! It's not like she was the third child or anything, but hey, she still liked it all the same! "...mmmm yeeeeeaaaaaaaah....I'm pretty sure you're not that Witch Doctor...such a weird coincidence though..." Muttering the last quartet of words with a pout, part of her wished that she really was the one and only Witch Doctor! Especially because that might mean she'd be proud of her for doing good things despite all the bad stuff St. Marta's did to her...oh well...

Nimue tried her very best not to laugh at Hifumi's summary of why her name was weird, "You very sure about that, Hifumi-san?" She asked again, her eyes were the same, though it might have been she had used her powers and such that they changed colour. It at least explained that her disguise sort of was working, hiding her hair as a hero, hiding her markings as a civilian. Nimue put her hands on her hips, she could either channel one of her spirits to convince the girl or she could not, but she was going to just see how this goes, it wasn't absolutely necessary to convince the girl, it was fine to see that she was doing alright. She might go if the girl wasn't convinced, "You look much better than last time we met." She said, decided to turn her heel and just give the girl another sideways look before considering to return to Giovanni. "My real name is Nimue by the way." It wasn't that she was offended, no not at all, it was amusing and fine. But if the conversation would stop her, she shouldn't hold herself up while she should return to Giovanni. The girl knew how to work her way around the world nowadays, there was no direct Marta's anymore and well it was just that. She couldn't do anything but be glad the girl was guarding the ocean, someone had to keep it clean and so on.

♥ better than a pro hero! ♥ Serpent of the TOXIC Sea Anyone who called her the sharpest tool in the shed would be a fool since the toxic sea serpent absolutely wasn't the sharpest girl out there. Many may even be surprised that she managed to make it through each and every day! Slowly blinking a couple of times as she rest her gaze upon the woman, fuzzy images of memories she clutched onto overlapped with the present, stirring nothing short of a little spur in the department of confusion. That tone...her eyes...the way she was holding herself in that moment felt too familiar. Even going so far as she looks better than the last time they met....wait...she...really is that Witch Doctor?! Letting out a loud gasp of surprise, she lightly flailed her arms up and down like an excitable bird! How in the world did they manage to bump into each other like this?! It was such a weird stroke of luck that she was having a hard time believing it herself right now! "You remember me?!" Pointing toward herself, she had to hold herself back from hugging this woman, since back then...everyone else didn't believe her. Not a single soul would hear her out since St. Marta's was clean of any crimes on books. Whoever or whatever was on St. Marta's corner is a monster...and not the cute kind either! "Wait, wait...u-um...Nimue-san? Did you ever get thsoe bad people in trouble?" Furrowing her brows a bit, her tone was draped in concern and the short teen looked more like a worried puppy.

It was amusing though and on the one hand, she was very glad that Hifumi did not immediately believe it. At least she was doing something great when it came to hiding her hair and now hiding the markings on her face. It was frustrating for sure but it was something nonetheless. She was also glad to see the girl was careful and not accepting everything everyone said but it would be a little nice if she recognized Nimue at this point, she did not know what to say about it, this was the case at this point. She hoped that telling the girl that she looked fine helped a little and she watched her shortly before deciding she might have to go back to Giovanni and not bother this girl too much.
When Nimue turned away she heard a big gasp and turned to bring her attention back to Hifumi. She looked very cute when she was that excited as she believed that the girl had figured it out at this point. Seriously she shouldn't be so naive about all of this, it was a girl she could just tell right? "Of course I remember you?" Nimue said surprised when the fish girl asked her this, why would she forget her? Her smile dropped a little with the next question, "No, I tried but I couldn't find other witnesses, people above twenty that is and it was hard to find proof. But the building burnt down. I don't know really what happened." It was hard to admit it because she really had wanted to try, it's also why she increased her voluntary work at other orphanages but there was only one Nimue and so many places to go, it was hard on your own. She wasn't sure what to say about it. "Most kids made it out safely and were adopted though." Or something along the lines was what she heard.

♥ better than a pro hero! ♥ Serpent of the TOXIC Sea Of course she was remembered...? Is it true that she was actually memorable to a hero who had seen hundreds of faces in her years of service? It...was hard to believe and grasp onto, but all the little fish girl could do in that moment is reach out and tighten her grip around this thread called hope. Almost every single day, that was all she had and the teen was so stubborn to let go because it's what carried her through the many motions of life. Such a bright and shining sense of optimism upon the world is what helped her make it through every moment up until this point. Though it felt like a knife through the heart as she heard the aquamarine haired woman's words say that she couldn't and her eyes widened slightly, that smile plastered upon her features while staring upward. ...if the pros couldn't do it, they who had so much at their fingertips and disposal...if they were unable to take down those like that rotten orphanage, she...couldn't stop being a vigilante. It was like she felt an invisible collar around her neck and the tug of a leash cutting off her breath for a moment as she gasped. The sheer shock rocked her to the core, "O-oh.." There was enough proof...there really was, it's just those bastards were sneaky and good and getting away with awful things, sliding between the cracks. Bringing her hands up and over her chest... Keep holding on... Tightening her grip, followed by the crinkle of plastic, that moment felt like someone stapled her gills and kicked her into the ocean with all of her fins sliced off. Were the pro heroes really able to do anything...could they...not everything, no...but at least she tried. The fact that the Witch Doctor tried regardless because she believed her...it was enough to fight off the tears. Though that second which felt like an eternity felt like a breath of fresh air when she said the orphanage burnt down! YES! ...wait.... What about the people? The other kids, what happened to theme, were they okay? Her smile faltered into a frown as she stared up at the amber eyed hero before her and the word most hit her like a brick. "Wh-what...most...only...n-not all...?" Feeling her breaths become shaky along with the rest of her body, the petite girl adorned by trash bags felt her heart breaking. All of them...each and every one of them needed to be saved. There was no way they could let some of them die...this didn't damage her opinion on the Witch Doctor, no...Nimue-san....it wasn't her fault, it wasn't. Unlike the others, she tried and she had so many things going on, but there was still effort made to do something when others wouldn't. Tears rolled down her cheeks as her memories flickered, all the fellow children's faces she'd seen. "H-how...many...how many are dead...Nim..ue...san.....?" Threads of hope were fraying, but her mind was racing, trying to stop the light from fading away in her heart. Like an old. broken film, the images of faces from the past, those she cared about and a few who shared those sentiments, even those who didn't give a shit about her...yet...she wanted the best for them all the same, their images were dimming and fading, breaking apart. Then one who was there when all she could do was converse with who she viewed as the reaper while fading away in a pool of blood...the one who stopped her from leaving the living. A boy with golden eyes and black hair... ...what was his name again.... The memory was blurry, but it was burning bright in that moment and she staggered backwards. "...Tsu-chan..I...I h-have to check on Tsu-chan...!" Quickly, she caught herself and turned around, running off in some direction...lost in memories that possessed her thoughts, her body following the motions of a day long lost. A day when she had to be there for the younger boy who once saved her life...all she could remember was Tsu-chan from the unearthed memory and she'd chase it until the sun went down... Until she'd find herself somewhere beyond the realm of familiarity.... Then once slumber would take its hold upon her... ...it was like nothing more than a bad dream to stir awake from... Hiding and burying whatever made her feel sorrow, her mind was good at keeping her ignorant and stupid for as long as nothing that was beyond reasonable doubt came before her. Only then did it fail the young girl who spent these days in blissful ignorance...
