Oooooookay… this was gonna be an interesting day and a half. Mia had been assigned to a ship convoy today. There was a cargo ship that was gonna be carrying cargo up along the shoreline of japan to a city further up, supposedly carrying a lot of high end hero tech and resources that the government wanted to make sure didn’t get into the hands of villains or anything. As such, they’d apparently wanted to put one of their biggest heroes on the case… at least that’s how they sold it to Mia. Mia meanwhile knew she was far from the best person for a water based job, especially one that was gonna take them a good distance into the ocean, buuuut she wasn’t really in a position to argue lately either…
For the job, she decided to call in some fitting back up. She didn’t have many aquatic heroes she could rely on but she did have an aquatic intern she knew could handle his shit. Yuuto. He apparently excelled in the water wiith his summon but in a dense city the kid rarely got the chance to display this. Well, she was gonna make sure he at least got the appropriate setting today. Sure there was a chance this trip could go smoothly and there’d be no criminals (which was why redhorn suspected she was actually getting stranded at sea like this, away from any real danger) buuuut if there was something, it’d be a chance for him to really show what he could do.
She waited for him with her back resting against her pick up truck, arms folded and a life vest wrapped around her chest. She told the crew it was a government precaution but… truth was she couldn’t swim, and she wasn’t about to plummet like a rock if shit went haywire out here. Her eyes drifted up and down the pier, waiting for Yuuto to show up. They’d be leaving the moment he was on board with her.

It was time for some internships and with all the chaos that has been happening as of late, he needed some official experience for a change. Yuuto needs some level of guidance as he knows that his way of doing things aren't exactly new for a fledgling hero. With the graduating third years and the amount of power they display, the boy has a lot to show for as he is up next in that line up of heroes.
That being said, his mentor for today is none other than the indomitable Redhorn. Despite the incidents and her rank being lowered, it doesnt change the fact that she is quite the powerhouse to learn under. His quirk is rather strong and he was of course hyped that he got to be working with her as an intern. He could perhaps learn a few dozen tricks from her and maybe get another idea on how to use his quirk effectively. Power means nothing if he himself is powerless in his mind.
He got ready and put on his gear as it was only some armor and gauntlets paired with his standard attire. Being through he checked the address of the meeting place and it was near a harbor. Water and him go well together but this is going to be his second time to be working in water as his first time was more or less running from Redhorn herself. He made sure his travel route was as smooth as possible as he used a ride sharing app to make the trip easy with little to no hassle. The ride there was calming as it slowly came to a stop and his goodbyes were said as he saw Redhorn already there waiting.
“Sorry to keep ya waiting, Boss”, He remarked as he briskly walked towards her truck.

Mia lifted her eyes as she heard the sound of a car door shutting close and spotted Yuuto further up the path, sinking her hands into her pockets, smiling as the scruffy haired kid made his way out to her. Or maybe he had gel in his hair. Whatever the case it still looked like a spiky mess to her but with her own golden mane of chaos she wasn’t exactly one to talk. She shifted her weight off one of the lampposts she’d been leaning against, knowing she didn’t really need to but raising her hand to catch his attention as he walked over.
“Ehhh think nothin’ of it. You barely had me waiting at all. Besides they legally can’t ship out without me so you’re keepin’ the boat waitin’ more than me.~” She offered a cheeky, jokey smile in the hopes of lifting any nerves he might have, crossing her arms tight over her chest but with a welcoming smile that spoke against the closed off nature of such a stance. “You find your way down here okay? Gotta say I think you’re the first of my interns to take a cab to an internship but I guess it’s a smart move in it’s own right. Gotta conserve your energy and all!”
Once Yuuto let her know how it was getting to the job site, Mia turned around to his side and patted his back to get him to walk with her down along the pier towards one of the cargo ships in the dock. “Alright then, well. Thanks to you beating my ass all that time ago, you and me are gonna be working on this cargo ship for the day. Trip’s basically gonna take us the whole night and then we’ll get a bullet train back to Tokyo. They got beds on board so don’t worry about not getting’ any sleep, and UA knows they shouldn’t expect you in class tomorrow so it gets you a day off. We ain’t expecting too much interference, but… ya know. Not all hero work is glamerous. You still on board?”

“Eh I didnt want to use Razor carelessly...what with my situation and whatnot...but yeah it wasnt too bad aside from the moderate traffic near Shibuya”, he replied earnestly as he made sure everything on his person is accounted for.He was soon pat on the back by Redhorn as he began to walk beside her towards the boat in question. He kept his cool but the tension in his chest was palpable as this was his first time being on a boat in a while and he was doing this for hero work. His experience fighting in water is the largest coin toss one can stake on as he has to think in terms of his human limits and how he can use his quirk. Jetting through the water in a flooded city playground was perhaps one form of experience. But that was both a controlled scenario and not on a massive boat he was looking at. It wasn't glamorous but its part of the job and it didn't take much thought as he knew it was going to be like this from the moment he arrived. He took a deep breath to take in the ocean air as he hasn't felt it in a while as he sees the ocean in front of him.
“Its a job...but someone has to do it. I damn well expected this sort of gig since its noty always to be high octane action we've had a few months ago...but I can manage this”, Yuuto opened up with as he continued to follow Redhorn. “Not exactly everyday where one gets to a day off from school to do this….but I dont wanna see this as a vacation for the fact I know something is going to go wrong.” he cracked his knuckles as he looked at the boat with a smile on his face. “All in all, Im all set to clock in...just tell me what to watch out for and I’ll fill in the blanks, Boss.”

“Given your-… Oh.” It clicked and Mia slammed her forehead beside her horn with the base of her palm. She’d forgotten in her attempts to organize all this that Yuuto apparently had a run in with a big villain not so long ago… at least, relatively speaking. She groaned a little to herself for not thinking of that but… “Well er… hey, if there’s anywhere you’re not gonna have issues, it’s out here at sea yeah?” She offered with a weak smile, thinking that was a light enough way of trying to keep the mood up between them. She was even remembering he was one of those special names singled out on that stupid Ishtar list… geeze now she was even more thankful she was taking him out to sea today. Sea sickness be damned the water was probably the safest place to take this kid on an internship right now… “Either way though, you got here aye? We got a whole day ahead of us now.~”
She let out a chuckle as the two of them headed up to the piers edge and his comment about someone having to do it, and it not all being high action. “Hey ya know what? You’re treating this a lot better than some of my interns so I admire the attitude. Dunno if I’d be this chill about the boring ass internship if I was your age.” She smirked back across to him, glad to have him here to keep her company. The main steps up to the bridge were still open and not wanting to damage the pier with a super jump it was easy enough for Mia to climb her way up. A few of the burly sea crew flashed her a dirty look or 3 as she made her way on board, one of them muttering something along the lines of her being a ‘horned nightmare’. Not everyone was able to brush off her red rage incident afterall, but Mia herself didn’t hold any weight in their words, rolling her shoulders back and brushing it off so to speak, shooting Yuuto a smile back. “So, the plan is they’re gonna hoist up and ship off now. We got dinner in 2 hours and they got bed’s ready for us below deck. I’ll be on night watch so you just gotta make sure you get your head down and you’re ready for a rude awakenin’ if anything happens. Sound good?”

“Don't get too worried about it, Redhorn. I can take care of myself and I know the risks of being a hero. A little hit list and a swarm of thugs are more target practice for me”, Yuuto reassures his mentor as he cracks his knuckles. He can feel the atmosphere tense up as he mentioned that little detail but it was little more than a joke. “Looking forward to see what its like to be on duty with the Mighty Redhorn….maybe we’ll see a whale or two if trouble doesn't come”, he mentions as he looks out to the great sea before him. A part of him curses himself that he didnt bring his fishing rod so he can do some night fishing but he got his head back into the game as he followed the large Oni.
As they walked to the piers edge, some praise was given to his overall feelings on the internship as it was the less than luxurious job that was given to him. “As much as I like a good old fashioned brawl, I prefer the quieter jobs at times. Keeps the mind focused and gives me time to read a bit”, responding in turn as he walked the bridge as he sees about three sailors walk by them. He can feel their stares as he glares back at them as he heard their little comment. But Mia took it in stride as she explained the plan and what is expected of him. He made a few mental notes before responding as he looks up at her. “Sounds reasonable to me. Is there anything else to note like where to watch on the boat if anything happens?” He asked as he puts his hands on his pockets as part of his attention was taken away by the sailors for their comments. ‘Talk about biting the hand that protects you’, he thought as he listened to Redhorn for anymore instructions.

“Ah I’m sure ya do kid. Must be the fact I’m a teacher now making me all soft.” She joked along with a bit of a smirk. In part she did believe that though. As much as she liked going one on one with these kids she was learning a lot more about the shit they dealt with too and… well yeah, she could probably do without that sometimes. It made her sometimes go a little easier on one kid when she maybe shouldn’t is all. Everyone had to toughen up one way or another to be a hero afterall regardless of the circumstances they were facing outside of the job. She knew that better than some at this point. She felt she knew it better than prissy boy serperior or stern bitch Junko at least. She let out another laugh as he mentioned seeing whales. “Ya know what kid if I see a whale I’ll definitely wake ya up for that. Maybe you can use that summon of yours to chase it to the surface? Help us get a picture?” Scaring wildlife wasn’t exactly a good thing for a hero but what was a bit of harmless fun on the clock eh? “Don’t worry though, I bet you’ll have plenty of time to read on this trip for sure.~”
As expected the trip was mostly uneventful. Mia might have gotten Yuuto’s help to shift some cargo with the ship’s crew and the aid of his summon now and then but Yuuto especially would have a lot of free time to chew on, able to relax in the crew quarters, maybe enjoy some food from the on board cafeteria or just generally lay back and relax, interrupted now and then with a quick walk around the ship with Mia so he could ‘get his hours in’ so to speak.
When shown to their beds he had a simple bed set up for him while Mia had two mattresses’ pushed together. The bed frames meant there was still a clear gap between them but it’d do, and as she told Yuuto she wasn’t calling it a night yet anyway so he should get some rest while he could, leaving Mia to go stay up with the night watch to make sure nothing hit.
Yuuto was probably just on the cusp of falling into the deeper parts of his sleep cycle when-
BWANG!!!
The whole ship seemed to jolt to one side and without the regular consistence that could be justified by your regular wave. The rest of the crew jumping up out of their beds around him seemed to be in ‘all hands on deck’ mode from the moment their feet touched the floor, and the earpiece or headset or whatever part of his hero costume received messages would be buzzing and borderline roaring, though it’d still be fairly quiet till Yuuto actually lifted it to his ear.
“Yuuto! We got something big up here get your scrawny ass and that shark of yours up top!”
By the time Yuuto reached the deck, nothing seemed to be amiss despite the fact the boat was being hit with some high waves and a heavy rain. Not a true storm though, and the waves weren’t big enough to justify the sound that had woken everyone up. Red Horn was holding onto the side of the ship looking off out into the sea, a harsh glare in her red eyes as she looked out into the distance, the dark clouds making it hard to see what she was looking at though.
Just as Yuuto might have been about to ask though, a sharp flash of lightning FAR in the distance gave him his answer. A giant silhouette was highlighted in the distance, what appeared to be a series of tentacles writhing in the water. One slowly crashed down, and with it’s drop, an immense wave was coming their way. Mia looked back to Yuuto, he grasp on the edge of the ship tightening on one hand, the other hand reaching to Yuuto, grabbing the back of his shoulders to keep him steady too.
“Sorry kid… don’t think this is gonna be a quiet ride…!~”
You could swear she was excited to say that.

Yuuto did his best to reassure his Mentor that he is alright despite the situation. But in the back of his mind nagged him with no end with the ever present danger his presence puts his loved ones in danger. No matter how much he tries to hide it, the slight look of worry on his face and his subdued responses is painted on his face. Whale watching seemed to calm his nerves a bit and the jokes from Redhorn helped his mood a bit.
As was predicted after the introductions and lectures as time went on as quietly as possible. It was a rather uneventful job to say the least. He knew of how these types of jobs went from what he recalls from various channels when flipping through and unless he was crab fishing in the northern pacific sea, the most action is MAYBE pirates. But no, the most he ever got was doing some heavy lifting with Razor. The massive shark not minding the monotonous task as he was used to the more blood pumping action of fights. It was moving stuff around, relaxing and the occasional patrol with his Mentor so it LOOKS like he is doing what he is there to do.
When night came he was shown the place where they would be sleeping with the obvious point being the two beds haphazardly pushed together to fit Mia. He would chuckle but his usual demeanor was rather tired and he was about ready to turn in. His mentor opted to patrol once again as he jumped on his bed as he got lost in thought. Being on a hitlist is a god damn curse in his book as he cant even leave campus properly unless he wants to get jumped by a bunch of wannabe big shots. While he is used to the first part thanks to some TERRIBLE school upbringings, even the strongest or intelligent will get tired of the things they are known for.
His eyelids began to get heavy as he slowly started to nod off as he was about to get some proper rest when he was suddenly jolted awake by a loud sound. He heard Redhorn loud and clear as he jumped out of bed and out the door as he summoned Razor as he ran down to the deck. When he got there he assumed that something real bad just happened but it was all normal at the moment. He can see nothing but Mia staring out at the ocean. There was nothing but he can FEEL something is wrong in the air. A flash of lightning is all it took to answer his question as he saw a large figure looming in the distance. The movement in the water was a familiar sight as he watched writhe in the water. He felt Red Horns hand hold him in place as his look of worry became a look of excitement . Razor was amped for the fight as he feigned the act of sniffing the air around them.
He heard his teacher speak but he can feel the energy in her voice as she said that. Yuuto very much felt the same as he couldn't hold in the smile that was forming on his face as he looked at the monster that was before them.
“Never thought I’d get to see the pet of Davey Jones this early into the job but god damn am I glad !”

Mia looked to Yuuto, expecting the potential chance that a kid his age might be terrified but... no, that was a look she knew all too well. God she knew she liked this kid for a reason. She gave his back a firm smack of encouragement once it was safe to let him go and rushing off towards the captain's room up the stairs along the deck. "Atta boy! We can't tell what we're dealing with yet I'm afraid! Could be a transformation quirker after our goods or that one in a million chance of a quirked squid but whatever the fuck it is it's big and it's closing in on us fast!" Even as Mia said this, a quirk glance to the water showed that the writhing tentacles had already grown so close that you could see them without a lightning flash to highlight them now, Mia cursing under her breath that something this big was found out at sea. A place where she couldn't really do her best to fight it. Another huge wave was incoming and Mia grasped onto a nearby structure, a hand on Yuuto's back again to keep him steady, grunting a little as the force passed through the boat.
"Right... right... gotta think of a plan here..." She glanced over to Yuuto himself, not about to rule him out as an asset right now even if he was technically just an intern. Dire situations and all that. "Alright kid. Time to fill me in. How far can that summon of yours go from you? Think it can do anything to hold that thing off while we batton down the hatches so to speak?~" She offered him a wild grin, hoping he'd be able to rise to the challenge today and show her what he had.

“Length of a small room...which isn't that big of a distance. So me sending Razor from a distance is a no go...”, Yuuto replied as he stared at the enormous kraken in the sea. The sheer size of the monster is going to pose an issue to the boat at large. The boat continued to move but Yuuto stood against the abyss with unblinking eyes as he clenched his fists as the excitement was getting to his very core. Razor can feel some of his feelings as Razor got a little bit bigger and sharper as he stared the beast down. It was obvious that he has some crazy ideas going through his brain and he is going to act on it the moment he gets the chance.
The danger, the fear, the joy, his emotions were set ablaze as he unconsciously began to smile as the very idea of a fight at sea against a beast similar to the ape he fought against during the prison break. However the environment presented the challenge as he was going to be in a new element. He had practiced before in the pools but never in the deep ocean. His phone and suit are waterproof and he knows how to swim, the issue is knowing where to strike.
“...but that doesnt mean I can't fight him off… I can take the fight to him and buy you some time like ya need.”, he said. “Its the best I can offer and we don't have the luxury to debate on it….so when you’re done with latching things down, throw me a life preserver”, he started to take off his coat where as he wore his normal shirt. He climbed up to the edge of the boat and stared down at the Kraken with voracious eyes.
“ITS SHOWTIME”, He dived into the water with Razor following behind as he was grabbed by his chain. The got into the water and the deep abyss was what awaited with only his summon leaving a dim blue glow. Yuuto grabbed hold of the chain as he commanded Razor to swim towards the writhing mass of tentacles in the sea. The moment he got close to one of the tentacles, he let him have it as Razor slashed at the Tentacle.
The look on his face was fearless as he was practically screaming at the kraken to fight him.

Honestly? Mia was ready to suggest the same thing only with the two of them taking the risk. While she couldn't swim this cargo ship had a few high speed life boats on either side she could ride out into the raging ocean. A big risk, but with a life jacket there wasn't too much she'd be risking if she felt she could rely on Yuuto grabbing her out of the water if her boat every overturned. Before she could make the suggestion though she saw the fire in Yuuto's eyes, his determination to go and face the beast... she took a deep breath, steeling her nerves against the risk and slamming a hand against his shoulder, grasping his shirt tight and looking back into his eyes with an equal fire in her own.
"That fucker gives you trouble you come back... but we both know you got this." She gave him another firm slap on the back as he got into gear and ran off down the ship herself. What took 3 men to do she could do in less time with her strength so she made sure to do everything she could around the ship to make sure they were locked down steady and weren't about to have their cargo thrown oversea.
Out at sea the mighty beast continued to writhe through the water. There were no clear signs if this was a quirked animal or some form of beastly transformation or mutation quirk, but with the size of the creature it didn't seem to notice Yuuto on his approach until he was close enough to make that initial strike. It seemed to be mostly meat and muscle with no tough scales to protect it, the strike of those claws enough to reveal the flexible bone-like core of the tentacle it struck, the creature's maw, a mass of teeth and pincers rearing out of the water to let out a bellowing screech.
Mia glanced out to the water but she didn't let herself watch for long... the kid had this, and the sooner she was done on the ship the sooner she could help him.
Back with Yuuto himself, as the creature locked onto the boy and his shark like summon, it reared back one of it's closer tentacles as it's injured one withdrew under the water, slamming down. It's accuracy wasn't the greatest but the size of it was such that even a miss would be able to generate a wave with such concussive force it could easily seperate the rider and it's mount if they weren't careful.

The beast moved and writhed in the water as his first hit made contact. All Yuuto saw was the deep black abyss as all he saw was the writhing mass of tentacles and teeth as it moved in the darkness. The look of pure despair was this scene as he was so many disadvantages….but Yuuto looked on with determination in his eyes.
He can see the beast's gaze shift to him and he took the opportunity to flip off the oversized seafood dish. “IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME YOU LOOKED AT ME, YA BASTARD!”, He said in his mind as he saw the shadow of a tentacle coming towards him. The waves pushed him back and forth as he gripped his chain as he readied Razor. If that Tentacle missed, the force of the waves is going to rip him away from the boat and he cant afford that in a fight like this.
Razor’s arms got bulkier and Yuuto kept close to his summon as he moved towards the location of the Tentacle impact area. The sharks arms were ready as he started to throw a flurry of high speed punches as the tentacle got closer. If a small cut caused him to retreat his arm, then what if he focused all of his power into a single point? How bad will this wound be for a creature of this size? All he can hope is that he made the right choice despite the odds as he braced himself for impact as the saw the shadow get closer and closer.
“COME ON!”

Mia was rushing back and forth on the boat using her strength and speed to get things stable faster than a handful of the other crew men could do in the same given time, but always had an eye out on the horizon, watching that monsterous beast wiggle and writhe. Yuuto was basically just a spec in the waves along with his summon and Mia was growing frustrated with her ‘boat bound’ nature as the kid did all the dangerous work keeping it off their backs, but, the quickers she had things locked down the quirker she could help him.
----
The beast itself seemed to be giving Yuuto more and more of it’s undivided attention, a hissing screech from it’s beak as it brought down that tentacle against Yuuto, only to watch him seemingly dive in to be squished under the full force of the tentacle. Rather than let the confusion grab him the stray limb seemed to just come down with even more force than before. Faster, quicker, holding more weight than Yuuto initially realized.
Of course, it didn’t come down for long, whatever this creature was it seemingly wasn’t all that used to something putting up a fight, the flurry of blows impacting on dense muscle and repeatedly at that, but even with how tough the tendril felt the octopus reared back in anger, many of it’s appendages surfaces from the water with a burst of white throth as it did so, and suddenly Yuuto found himself in the air. A tentacle rose up from underneath him and blew him and his summon up into the sky above the beast, it’s angry eyes locking onto him, trying to aim it’s tooth filled maw for Yuuto to land within.
-----
“WHERE’S THE ANCHOR!?”
Mia roared out at one of the crew members as she finished her tasks on the boat, they seemed confused as to why she was even asking but one of them was easily scared enough to point in the general direction of the ship’s equipment. A lot of ships still had anchors afterall for when they were holding themselves in the dock or when they needed to rest and wait for rescue out at sea. It wasn’t hard enough to follow the iron chains to the anchor itself, slamming her elbow into one of the lings and breaking it apart. They’d think of a solution when they hit port. For now she needed something to throw!
Jumping up top the captain’s deck, anchor and a length of it’s chain in hand, Mia started to wind it up over her head, catching the beast just when it started to rear back. Aim over a distance like this was never her strong suit, but this was not the time to miss.
“You wanna eat something big guy…!?” She pulled the swirling anchor up behind her, catching it’s momentum on the back spin and hurling it over her shoulder, sending it out, anchor tip first like a soaring bullet. “EAT THIS!”
-------------------
Yuuto felt gravity about to take him from the ascent and bring him plummeting back down towards the beast, it’s eyes wide and wild ready to take in the tasty morsel that was falling towards it, when WHAM! Out of the blue a thick chunk of iron and steel slammed directly into what could only be called the beast’s forehead, forcing it off balance, collapsing into the water. There was clear life in it’s eyes, it wasn’t down yet, but what could have been a plummet to his death now left him with a lot of options, many of the tentacles wildly flailing around him to grab onto if it could help him.

Well shit.
That was all Yuuto could think at that very moment as the tentacle felt heavier than he initially thought. Granted, gravity and weight worked in tandem for the big bastard as the weight of it felt like a truck fell on him. The strikes were hitting their mark but it was like hitting a giant rubber hose.It was more than he can chew but he did his best to fight back as he felt the weight slowly come off him as felt more movement around him. Yuuto kept his guard up with Razor as he gripped his chain tightly as his eyes looked around to see what was happening.
But the sea had other plans as he felt himself be shot out of the water and found himself in the air above the beast. He couldn't see what did it but he knows that the beast was involved and it is now focusing more on him. Shock was the only reaction he gave as it looked like the kraken was ready to swallow him whole. A part of his mind was resolved to beat the ever living shit out of the overgrown seafood dish from the inside out. But another part was gripped in fear as he was out of his element and is about to be eaten by a squid. He readied Razors fists as he felt gravity taking over as he began to fall towards the beast.
However, Redhorn had him covered as he saw the oni hero throw an achor straight into the krakens head. For that single moment, its attention was now broken and a lot of tentacles were flailing about as it reeled from being made target practice.Of course he took his opportunity to use Razor and gave him dig his claws into one of the tentacles nearest to him as he then used it to slide down it. It was a shallow cut but it provided some damage to the bastard as he slide closer and closer to the beasts face. He was crazy and he tried this before on a giant monkey but it was bound to work. The window was perfect and made no pauses in rushing for the face of the beast.
“OI, SEAFOOD PLATTER! KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN AND WATCH THIS!”He yelled out as he and Razor lept from the tentacle and gave a strong right hook to the area above the eye of the creature. Enough to open a wound and cause some bleeding to obscure its vision. Once he took his chance, he dug his claws into the head of the creature and hung on.

Mia pumped her fist at her side as she managed to get a decent blow on the Kraken, the anchor embedded in it's head pretty fucking deep. Sure, Mia had to remember she'd effectively just damaged the ship to land that blow, and in turn they'd probably have to get a chopper in to deliver the replacement before they made it to port but... eh. Small price to pay when fighting a fucking giant squid of all things. She watched from a distance as it wrigged and writhed, and Yuuto with his summon seemed to shift easily and with quick reflexes.
She needed to get out there though.. time to find a ride!
With Yuuto's quick motions he was right up in the face of the giant octopus, squid, whatever at this point, it's wretched screeching practically non stop at this point as it continued to wriggle and writh in the water, constant waves emenating from it and splashes of water blasting from the strikes of his trentacles. The deep strike above his eye clearly struck a nerve, literally and metaphorically as the squid began to sink. It was far from dead but whatever fight it was choosing to pick today was rapidly becoming less and less worth it, the beast sinking down below the surface and trying to drag Yuuto with it, the force of it displacing the waters creating a sink-hole effect that would drag Yuuto under even if he tried to swim away.
From the distance Mia could see what was happening, but after grabbing one of the motorized lifeboats she was closing in on the scene rapidly. She couldn't swim, so she knew it would be foolish to jump out and try and grab Yuuto himself if he was going under. She wouldn't be able to hold her breath till she hit the bottom of the ocean and could jump back out afterall. She locked onto one of the tentacles lingering out of the water, wrenching her bandages from her forearms and tying the handle of the lifeboats motor up, forcing it to stay on. With her feet planted firmly in the boat, she grasped one of the tentacles and pulled with all her might as the boat continued to fly past.
"I am not... losing an intern... TO A FUCKING KRAKEN! GRRRRRRRAAAAAGH!"
Pushing her quirk to it's red limits, her red skin coating her up to her shoulders, she wrenched the kraken back out of the water and flung it up towards the sky, dragging it's whole body out of the water. Her boat barely managed to stay upright, starting to do circles beneath the kraken in the sky ready to catch Yuuto for a ride back.
"It's on the run Yuuto! just give it a reason to keep running and get outta there before it sinks again!"
Mia grit her teeth, from the force of the squid being ripped out of the water Yuuto was back up in the air with it, but since the creature was ready to run there was no reason to keep his life at risk!
