Under the floorboards of the burning establishment was a room far less susceptible to fire. The stone and tiled walls of the old laboratory under St Martas was, at most, becoming an oven, trapping the heat of the floors above, what little of it descended downwards into the ground. That wasn't to say the fire hadn't been devestating in it's own way. Many pieces of fragile and precise equipment left unnattended, the increase in heat slowly damaging glass containers, boiling unique liquids, their gasses trapped in containers far too small to hold them... many things could break and shatter in the coming moments, but it was hard to tell if that was truly what would bring danger to those who'd found themselves here. Perhaps the floor gave beneath you and you found yourself falling down into this hidden lab. Perhaps you sought out the basement level on purpose. Perhaps you knew where it was all along and you were here to ensure it's destruction. A once clean and immaculate lab left to rot, walls holding dry flecks of blood or the stains of chemicals... whoever was maintaining this place was long gone, but even before his departure he cared very little for his environment. From the old leather straps crudely screwed into mis-fitting tables and boards... whoever ran this place cared far more for results than the children forced to endure their work here...

Today was the day. He had been accepted on the task force of destruction for the Orphanage and whether he raised suspicion or not Cyril had been trusted enough to be the only member of the original group to check out the laboratories. He had arrived by train in the most inconspicuous way wearing a black long sleeve and his mask with typical shoes and pants. He had to hide his scars in case he ran into any staff he might know or could recognize him. He also invested in a sort of voice changing device that would alter the tone and pitch of his voice. Another precaution to avoid being recognized. He knew how quickly this could go sideways if the wrong person realized he was who he was. Niso had said that others may be joining him though Cyril had no way of identifying who they were. Therefore if anyone was to show up in his location, he would automatically assume they were there for the 'job'. On the way however standing out the side along the perimeter of the Orphanage was a woman. Lone but clearly confident in her ability, Cyril would of approached her with small talk. If she was apart of staff he would silence her. From their conversation it turned out she was not. In actuality she was apart of the force that was meant for the lab, what were the chances. The small talk were turn to jokes as Cyril guided the girl into the Orphanage and towards the lab via his memory. He had two main goals once he entered the Orphanage and got to the labs. One, find his quirk research. He had left majority of it behind when he left and now that he has established himself somewhat in Kabukicho he now had need of them. Two, to destroy any information that might link him to the Orphanage. This way he would erase his involvement with them allowing him to proceed with his life in a way he saw fit. Both were on equal level of importance and he hoped that he could do both at the same time. Secondary goals were those of the group he had met. The survivors. He would look for information on other staff that worked there. Benefactors, people who have donated to the Orphanage, staff that had worked there. He would be looking for their personal information to report back to Niso and the rest so that they would truly understand he meant what he said at their meeting. With that sort of information in their hands they would be able to exact their own justice upon them. But of course Cyril had to look out for himself as well. He would make a mental note to destroy any personal staff information that could be linked to him. In a sense, it would be any staff that if tortured, might bring up his name as a confession in hopes of surviving whatever predicament Niso and his group put them in. This was a side mission he put on himself as it only occurred to him after he arrived at the Orphanage. There was a side door he would enter; winding, twisting and turning until he walked down the spiral stairs until he entered what he remembered to be the labs. And what a state the labs were in. When he was here he kept the place clean. Anything from a bug to dirt could alter an experiments results and that would be the last thing Cyril needed to happen. Dust covered this and dirt caked that. Flecks of blood stained walls and restraint straps. Shaking his head, Cyril would move quickly and quietly towards what he perceived to be a desk. Here he would immediately get to destroying the files he found if they were linked to him. It was the main office after all and if anything was going to be held in within the Orphanage, it would be here. There were multiple ways into this office if he recalled and Cyril would try to keep them in his peripheral so that other people late to the party would not surprise him. TLDR; - dressed and came by train - bumped into Nikki(Jess) and teamed up with her to enter the Orphanage - arrived at the Orphanage and sneaked(*?) in to the basement - Lamented about the state of the lab now vs how he kept it - Looked for information to DESTROY (potentially 1/3) - Lazily keeping a lookout for late comers

You Looking for someone to Rock Your World~? ❝ Seems like things are getting pretty hairy up there, huh? Crimson irises looking above her head and then toward the door that she had come through, even though Nikki Nakajima was currently safe and sound in an office with one of the new friends she had in her life she could readily sense the ruckus that was going on around them, and honestly was kind of disappointed that she didn’t have a part in it. Arriving here after hearing a couple of rumours about some big trouble brewing between various parties and that sounding like her idea of a good time in all honesty, while she had no personal stake in the orphanage of St Marta the metal minx was always up for a spot of violence, especially when it may or may not have involved giving child abusers what they deserved. However, today was different. And I’m stuck looking after this guy… Meeting a certain someone by the name of Cyril as she had approached the scene, even though in her heart of hearts Miss Nakajima had wanted to bust some skulls, she couldn’t help but feel like this was a guy who might have needed her muscle a bit more than some ransom’s did today, and besides she owed him. Remembering all too clearly the bad way she had been in not that long ago, while she had healed up from those injuries pretty well thanks to the combination of the treatment the back alley doc had bestowed upon her and her own inherent awesomeness, he had done such a thing out of what seemed like the goodness in his heart and that was something that had quietly affected the girl more than she would admit. Quirk obsession aside, he wasn’t a bad egg at heart, and that meant she didn’t want to see him scrambled. “So, what’s the deal with you and this place, huh?” That being said the black beauty by this point feeling perhaps just a little bit bored, she was far more of a fighter than an investigator, and while she might have made a decent saboteur thanks to her destructive inclinations she was growing weary of waiting for something exciting to happen, and as such felt curious about the purpose of her partner as she let her mind wander and search for something to occupy it. “When I saw you here I thought you’d heard about the trouble but… Seems you’ve got other ideas in mind than crime fighting tonight? Not to mention, this room looks like at least one, or five, people died in it?” Sighing softly as she reflected on their situation and even her uneducated ass able to see that there was a sense of purpose about the doc beyond the gathering of gossip, while there was probably a chance that all he was rooting for were some case notes or something on quirks, something about his demeanour and the obvious state of disarray of their environment told her there was more to this than seemed to be let on. What the fuck was up with this guy, and even more so, what was going on with the bloodstains and shit all over the walls?

The happenings of life were not a focus for Seigi – if something came to his attention, he would assess the situation first, deciding whether or not it would be worth his time. He needn't bother himself with pettier issues. But today was a certain point of contention to that way of living. On the outskirts of the city where he lived, he saw the billowing smoke signifying flames. The boiling heat emanating towards the sky called him closer, echoing for him to see what lay in the wreckage of whatever building this was. There was justice to be carried out there. Swiftly, Seigi began to walk towards the site of the violence, and after a short while, he saw what lay in pieces. A burning wreck, a building distraught as the tongues of flame lapped up their meal with extreme prejudice. He snuck into nearby foliage, masking himself from view. Brawls were breaking out, property was being destroyed – savagery at it's finest. He hoped they would be cast into the flames themselves, left to die as they passed on from this world. However, in the midst of the chaos, opportunity appeared. Inside the building's ash, he spotted some kind of entrance – a way into a cellar, it seemed. Perhaps this place could have burned for more than just pure anarchy. From his jacket, he opened up the container for his armour activator. Information on it was scarce, and any chance to gain insight he had yet no knowledge of was one that must be taken. The piece flew around, until eventually it clasped onto his arm. “Transform.” said Seigi, and lo and behold, the piece unfolded, spreading blue and gold armour around the man named Justice. With suitable protection, he rushed into the flames, and down towards what lay beneath. What was there was more than the average homeowner's cellar. The place was pungent with the smell of chemicals and metal, clearly the rampage of a so-called 'genius', a word misplaced in today's society. The work laid out was dark, deranged – as Seigi continued through the halls, he saw horrid things: tables with harsh leather straps, unused in several years, but their mark was made on whoever was unfortunate enough to be confined there. And underneath an orphanage – this was perversion of the highest order. Blood smeared on the walls, those possibly of crying children, experimented on from such a young age. Despicable. Nearby, Seigi heard chatter. Seemed to be a woman, talking to an unknown party. They might prove useful in finding what was going on here. Seigi snuck through into the room, seeing the dismal state – it matched the area overall. From behind the two, he would make his entrance known. “So you've made the choice to come here as well. How fortunate,” he said, picking up papers and beginning to read them. “This place is a rotten, filth-ridden hive of wretched things. I will find whoever who carried out this injustice.” he continued, slamming the paper to the floor, condemning it.

Nikki's Defend action - Useless, there is not yet any threat (sorry I did kinda warn ya...) Cyril - Destruction action ResultsThe Name - Several files containing Cyril's actual name on the header, likely form his early days working here before thinking to sign with a pseudonym
[/strike][li] Receipts - Simple receipts for meals that have hints as to Cyrill's identity, such as the initials on his bank card[/li]
[li] Health Care Plan - A brief form, half filled, back from when St Martas considered offering a health plan to employees. It invited too much scrutiny so the plan was canceled.[/li][/ul] Seigi - Search action Results- Check ups - simple files of routine medical check ups of the kids. Need to keep these profit makers healthy. There's rudely scrawled notes on some kids notes recommending 'disposal' as their quirks have become 'weaker' or simply 'redundant'. It is in no way clear if this means simply abandoning them or worse
- Extreme Procedure - A file detailing the... lobotomy, of a handful of St Martas kids. Most are crossed out to indicate they didn't survive. Notes detail this was done to kids with quirks that would remain useful without their 'annoying influence'.
- Augment Theory - The work of the current scientist working with St Marta looking into one of the kids with metallic limbs. Seems confused that these could be natural, angry scrawling insisting the main staff are 'lying' that he was born with them.
(i won't be 'quoting' the above info cause it took a lot of work to write these info lists.)
With the three of you finding your roles and duties in the room the crackling of flames in the rooms above is all that likely punctuates the russling of papers as you go through your individual searches. Cyril's rush to destroy documents isn't so much yet that he's too obvious, well timed slips of paper sliding through the shredder on the main desk, mixed with a burst of roaring flames from above so that the sound of the shredder itself isn't too clear. Seigi's search finds several medical documents, some perhaps useful, but most of which horrifying in their own way... Nikki's insistance to remain guard makes her the first to notice the new issue coming to light. In an adjacent room, a storage room for several samples of st Martas children over the years, the heat entering the metal lab, trapping it like an oven, had started to crack and shatter the glass of shoddy equipment. Long sealed and forgotten samples of dangerous quirks starting to leak out into the open air. Some were perhaps useless, just organs or flesh samples that no longer had a use... one was less innocent. A severed finger of a st martas child years ago. Perhaps dismissed as an 'accident' in the kitchen, given to the scientists below. A thick gas would start to secrete from it's containment, an acidic hissing coming from the room alone, and soon made more clear in it's purpose. A door on the right side of the room your all in would more audibly hiss. Nikki will be the first to notice (Jess can let Cyrill notice it in his post from Nikki telling him ofc). It is a corrosive, purple gas slowly eating away at the bottom of the door and the side edges, leaking into the rest of the room. The gas seems heavy and clings to the ground meaning it won't be breathed in, but you need to find a way to stop it quickly! Would it be best to give the gas more things to feed through to delay it's progress, or perhaps there's something in the files that can help you...!

"I have a...interesting connection to this place. Therefore I would like to see it destroyed. Starting with their precious research."
Cyril would say partially lying to his new companion. The young woman seemed capable, her muscles clearly visible amongst her clothing choice. The young doctor did not think he would find anyone else here but the small conversation he had with her had started to create the beginnings of a foundation of trust with the fellow vigilante. Cyril had hoped he would not find of any his information mixed in with any of the papers here, but there it was. His name written in its entirety on data entry forms and notes. Timing it with the rabble happening upstairs, Cyril would shred the papers even grabbing and shredding others that may not of had anything to do with him. As he did this he would of slowly turned to see another show up.
This gentleman he assumed because of the shape of the armor, walked as though he was someone with a plan. Cyril watched him grab some papers reading them, causing his breathe to catch in his throat. Did this stranger know about him? There was no way...Most would attack instantly if they knew who he was, and what he's done. No, this man had no information on the dark-skinned doctor and Cyril would like it to remain that way. At the slightest slip he could have both Nikki and this stranger at his throat if they fully understood is involvement with this 'church'.
"Newcomer. Cyril would address the man. I assume your here to destroy what remains of this place as well? Lets be quick with it then."
This small conversation would of been in hopes of deterring the man from thinking the two he had already met in the room were a threat. Before Cyril could turn and go back to searching for information that would of lead to/brought suspicion on himself his companion Nikki, would of notified him about a gas coming from another room. The purple gas was moving slowly but clearly eating away at the door it rested behind. Cyril would of searched his memory to see if there was anything he could recall about this gas. Was it deadly to touch? How would if affect organic material such as skin if it was touched? Could it be bottled and contained? What about slowed down? If they had to, could they weaponize it against this new-comer in case things got tense or dangerous?
Seeing an opportunity, Cyril would clear his throat and motion to the gas.
"That, seems to need our immediate attention right now. Least it goes unchecked and filters into the room. I am a bit well read myself so I will search the papers here to see if there is anything about what is kept in that room. Perhaps you two could work together to move some things into its way to slow its progress?"
In an attempt to further distract the two from his true intent, the treacherous doctor would continue to speak.
"Gaseous forms are usually light and cling to the ceilings of rooms though this one seems stuck to the floor. So for now we have no worry of breathing it in. However there is no guarantee that there is not something kept in this room that can alter its molecular form. Best to deal with it immediately."
Once the stranger(he purposefully did not ask for his name) would move towards the door with the gas, Cyril would continue to try and be discrete as he moved to destroy any staff information that could be linked to him. under the guise of looking for papers that contain information about this purple gas leaking into the room.
- Cyril answers Nikki's questions as best he can - small thought on what hes destroyed so far - small talk with the new comer (doesnt ask his name, because Cyril doesn't wanna give his name) - is notified about the purple gas, decides to use it as a distraction - drops mad knowledge about gases as a way to encourage the other two to take action against it - continues previous action of "destroying information" under the guise of searching

You Looking for someone to Rock Your World~? ❝ “Fair enough I guess… No sense digging up the past, it’s full of skeletons and fuckery in my experience.” Definitely seeming to sense a reluctance to share on account of the good doctor, though some might have pushed Cyril for more information given the inherent vagueness of his response Miss Nakajima was not one of those people, and mostly because she knew the value in not digging to deeply into people’s pasts. “You uh, do your thing then, I’ll watch your back…?” Sighing softly as she continued to watch for trouble but accepting that shyness as a simple obstacle she had no business surmounting, given the number of sticky subjects she would not wish to share the ravishing raven showed an unusual degree of respect toward his reluctance, and as such dropped the issue for so long as he didn’t wish to discuss is. It wasn’t her job to play reporter or therapist here, she was just looking out for someone who she owed a favour, nothing more. Who’s this guy? Can’t say I much like the look of him…? Because of that aim seeming to instantly feel a sense of defensiveness when a second soul seemed to march into the room with them and begin rifling through it, while his actions and the greeting that her ‘ward’ offered seemed to stay the hand of the steely siren for the moment, she couldn’t help but feel her heckles raise just a bit to have a stranger in her midst and because of that kept a narrow gaze on him for more than a few moments. Seems the sort to keep an eye on… Not the type who was ever all that welcoming toward new people in her life and keeping quiet as she looked between the door and the fresh face who had arrived, Nikki glared at the guy a little bit as she weighed up whether or not it was a good idea to lay him out right here and now just in case, but decided that so long as the medical marvel was able to tolerate his company so should she. There were bigger problems here than some creep, after all. “The fuck is that shit…?!” Principal among said concerns being the injection of some form of weird science into the situation, while the cloud of gas was innocuous enough at first that the femme didn’t spot it she found its presence catching her eye reasonably quickly, and perhaps as she reacted with confusion could count herself lucky to have a wiser mind than hers guiding her. “Heh, well I doubt it can take a badass like me down but…” Instinctively lifting her hand to guard her face at the sight of the strange cloud but seeming somewhat smug once Cyril had explained the harmlessness of it for the moment, Miss Nakajima cocked her head for a second and smirked at her partner for the night in a slightly cocky fashion, then activated her quirk in order to take care of the problem quickly and easily. “I suppose the lady will take care of you poor, poor gentlemen, huh? Don’t worry, I got this~” The metal form of the minx so much more resilient than her human body ever could be and infinitely brawnier as well, after scanning the room Nikki wrapped her hand around one of the cabinets that had already been scanned by her biologist buddy and scooped it up effortless, before marching over to the leak and plugging it up with the piece she had procured. “Will that do to plug it up, doc?” Slamming the cabinet down one handed and then pressing it against the door to block the gas as best she could, though the improvised item was hardly the easiest for most to use as a draught excluder, she reckoned its weight and flat back surface would certainly stem the flow of the gas for the time being and felt proud of herself for coming up with it really. Likely to block the path of any chemicals and also impede the progress of anything more animated from trying to get through the door as well, she had done a pretty nice job, even if she did say so herself…

Clearly, a sense of hostility was developing within the room. The two occupants, now joined by Seigi, were very much opposed to his presence, as many were whenever the man who saught true justice entered. Not out of the question, nor was it a concern for him or whatever peers were present, all that would come of it would be ignorance – a fool's resolve. However, they did seem to have a sense of determination when it came to this place. The older man, for example; incredibly hasty, and assuming. Destruction of the work? No. What justice would remain to be reaped as consequence of the evils sowed down here would be blown out – as if it were dust in a breeze – if the papers were destroyed. A man so hasty to perform such an action would be... one to look out for. “To imply my job is to destroy the evidence is akin to convincing a common dog to enroll in university. I am here to bring the guilty to justice. Thus, I require all the information I can find.” he said, taking further papers and reading them. The depictions of such cruelty... such torture to the unfortunate, the ones who would carry the future on their backs, was naught but cowardice. The words inscribed, words though they were, carried vivid apparitions of what horrific dealings occurred in this miniature hell. All this, right under the ground of an orphanage. Sickening. His findings between medical documents and scrawling of doctor's notes, however, was interrupted – pointed out by the young girl, a gaseous form was seeping into the room, close to the floor. There was no tangible threat to their current state, as it would only travel across the ground, but the fact it had rattled away at the door in such a state it could come through to their current abode was a cause for thought. But, it seemed the girl did not have such thought as to what it could be, nor what it could do, simply plugging the hole with a filing cabinet, with youthful confidence that was so thick with smugness it could be used to plug the same hole. “I see you practice Occam's Razor. But what will you do when the blade is dull?” he said, going back to the papers, reading further to decipher what the gas could be, alongside further insight as to who could be behind such a scale of impromptu methods of visceral killing. He would leave the girl to her foibles, and instead favour the doctor in this scenario – a coincidental job, all things considered. “If you wish to search, I shall help.” said Seigi, walking over with a calm stride towards information yet untouched. Papers were scattered around, assumedly from lack of anything important, but the man known as Justice could never be certain, not in this event. Nevertheless, he continued to read to try and find out just how deep this rabbit hole went, with the doctor under close inspection.

Nikki's Defend action - Useful! The trashed filing cabinet destroys a chunk of random information-! (5 items have been removed from my random roll list) but the gas does seem to need time to chew through the cabinet! (due to it being used with the defend action, all the info i removed was relatively useless) Cyril - Destruction action ResultsPersonal Research - A heavy binder of information containing a lot of Cyril's own personal research
[/strike][li] Fake Payslips - Payslips detailing a fake employee role under Marta's typical structure as a 'workplace healthcare advisor'
[/li]
[li] Inter-office memos- A series of documents communicating with the head of the orphanage for equipment requests to continue his research.[/li][/ul] Seigi - Search action Results- Gas Source - A medical file detailing the source of the gas. A quirked child had the ability to dissolve materials. Their quirk-originating organ was removed but, so long as it was kept in good conditions, continued to actually produce his quirk. The gas itself is harmless to living material, but the 'liquid' secretion of the organ can damage living things with a deeply acidic effect.
- Quirk harvesting - A researcher at the facility details notes on the potential of harvesting and transplanting the organs that produce quirks. No tests seemed succesful. There are scrawled notes that he recommend keeping the subjects alive for future revenue.
- Inventory - A dense list of harvested quirk organs. Some are scratched off with small notes suggesting they had been sold or decayed beyond the point of allowing further research
(i won't be 'quoting' the above info cause it took a lot of work to write these info lists.)
Cyril's eagerness to destroy evidence may have been coming close to invoking some sort of reaction but that was of course down to the people sharing a room with him. His search for information more keyley related to him being staff of the establishment was easily found and subsequently destroyed, but of course time was of the essence and he couldn't delay if he wanted to make sure none of this would see the light of day again. In Turn, while Cyril continued to destroy evidence, Seigi seemed to be finding some that could be put to good use. It was unclear and heavily scribbled notes but there seemed to be at least enough info gathered together to make it clear the gas escaping the other room was very unlikely to harm any of the individuals in the room. The gas that had already seeped in sizzled against the floor, decaying it and devouring the material in small chunks, they may even notice the decay effecting some of their shoes but none of them would feel a reaction of pain. At worst they'd maybe find some dead skin on the base of their feet would fade away with an itching sensation. The most likely to suffer that was Nikki, throwing that cabinet down in the face of the incoming gas. The loud noise rattled throughout the mostly metallic room and the gas seemed to peter out. The door's decay was slowly rising however, and eventually it would chew through the cabinet. Perhaps best to keep barricading the door... KLUNK!.... KLUNK!... A loud bang echoed from the other side of the door... the decay seemed to be spreading further up the wall, right where the sound could be heard.

Despite being able to successfully dispose of more information files, Cyril could not ignore the growing annoyance of what was possibly behind the cabinet that Nikki so skillfully placed infront of the gas emitting door. The young doctor would move away from the desks and peer towards where the gas was coming from. It seemed to be still eating through the door however nothing else appeared to be eroding away.
If this was a quirk, the dark-skinned youth was quickly losing focus on the task at hand and was rapidly devolving into his "researching" mentality.
"Perhaps we were a bit hasty in blocking up the gas. I do not think it will harm us yes?"
Cyril would say taking confident strides towards where the cabinet was. At this time he would hear the loud KLUNK KLUNK sound coming from the other side of the door. Startled he would of faltered a few steps backwards, a bead of sweat dripping down the side of his face. The creator of the sound could also possibly be the creator of the gas. If these two were related the entity quite possibly could a failed experiment of the current doctors. That or a successful experiment meant to safeguard whatever was in this room as well as the one it was currently in. Regardless!!! Cyril would get as close as he could before reaching out and touching the gas with his hand in order to see if there were any effects to his person. While he did this he would ask,
"Any information about what might be causing the gas? I myself didn't find anything. I think the fastest way to figure out what is going on, is to move the cabinet and go inside, gas or no gas."

You Looking for someone to Rock Your World~? ❝ “Who’s Razor…?” The reference which was being made by the white haired stranger sailing over the head of the steely siren, she paused for a second as she tried to work out who the hell this 'Arkham' or whatever he said was and what the hell he had to do with the price of beans right now, but ultimately gave up on the effort and offered a shrugging sigh instead. “Nevermind. I have this cream stuff, takes the hairs right off~” Shaking her head and gesturing to the exposed patch of skin on her lower limbs between the hem of her skirt and the thigh high leggings she was wearing, which incidentally was looking as soft and silky as ever, she showed that when it came to the conversation between them she was going to be as low as a brow could get and then returned to her task of reinforcing the door. "That shit just don't give up, does it?" It seeming that the gas she had blocked was rather the stubborn sort as well so her efforts certainly encouraged by that fact, having been denied the chance to leak all that effectively by the cabinet she had used and so taking the low way by munching through the door itself, Nikki clicked her tongue as she acknowledged that fact and shook her head, before sweeping up the desk which her partner had already rifled his way through already in order to further built the barrier in front of it. But there was something strange going on. But that banging is weird. Acid, or whatever it is, doesn't usually bang does it? Not all that much of a so called science nerd but even this dull-minded dark dish feeling confused by the thumping that seemed to be coming from the other side of the structure she sought to build, the ferric femme frowned as she carried the countertop toward the sight she needed to close off, but didn't place it there just yet. "You think there's someone in there maybe?" Holding the bureau in hand as she looked to the two not so involved in this heavy lifting and speculated on the reason, while it was a reasonable assumption to guess that the sounds they were hearing were just something within the room getting eaten up by that same gas, a sense of paranoia born from her new emphasis on personal safety made Miss Nakajima feel cautious. "HEY, IF YOU CAN HEAR ME, GIMME A SIGN. A SPECIAL KNOCK OR SOMETHING?" Yelling at the thing loudly as she just wanted to make sure that she wasn't about to trap some poor unfortunate soul in with those nastily noxious fumes as she placed the desk in the way of it, though her act might have cost her several perhaps vital seconds in the effort of containing it she chose to be safe rather than sorry, and wait just long enough for a response to her inquiry before went about sealing the fate of anything and everything within it…

Further reading was a good distraction, it appeared. Occam's Razor was not in this woman's vocabulary, it seemed she was definitely possessed by brawn and refuted any kind of brains, aside from which muscle would be the correct one to use against an inanimate object. Not that the doctor was much better anyway, with a wanton need for destruction of property, obfuscating who was responsible. He did say he had a connection to this place, so perhaps he was in league with or knew the perpetrator? For the time being, Seigi would not pry, and instead focus on further information about the workings of this hell. The papers he had found this time around were scribbled over, crossed out, and held in very low quality, but they were still able to be parsed. Some notes held information that seemed to answer where the gas that was at the door was sourced from: organ harvesting of quirked children. Such a disgusting motion he dared not to dignify it with thought. Clearly none was given to the action in the first place. “It states here that a child possessed a quirk that could dissolve objects via a kind of gas. Objects are able to be destroyed, but living material is impervious to it. Apparently however, a by-product of it, namely a liquid, is highly acidic. It would take a fool to let it touch them.” he said. The information would be helpful enough, but the issue laid with the next part of the research. It seemed that how an organ was able to do this was due to something very concerning. The harvesting of quirker organs developed into transplants, moving them around and creating monstrous mutants that would be able to use different quirks than they were born with, or perhaps give the quirkless new power. So, when the door was hit with a loud crash, the only answer the man known as Justice could make was that at least one patient remained down here – and they were not concerned with getting revenge. “We may have company. The organs that were harvested were transplanted to other people. Most of them I can see here were sold or decayed without their original body. Pursue 'the good of science' by spilling innocent blood and wrenching their lives away, is it? Whoever did this will die by my hands. They are not fit for the world.” said Seigi, in a authoritative voice. As a result of this, he would let the brawler handle whatever lay behind the door if it came inside, and would move towards s earching for more information, possibly some kind of weakness or which organ the acidic one was, so they could target it better. In the meantime, with looks of organ harvesting as well as transplants, it seemed there would have been an expert down here to perform such tasks. There was a doctor in the room. He had connections to this place. Seigi unfolded his blades, piercing through his flesh and out of the slots in his armour's gauntlets. “Who are you, doctor? Why do you have such a propensity to destroy the papers down here, especially if you have a connection to this place? If you do not answer me truthfully, I will not hesitate to kill you. The very concept of suspicion does not begin to cover how guilty your soul is to me.” he said, pointing towards him.

Information found - Nothing! You were all effectively investigating the door and the gas in some way, and the answers to your questions is brought on by the post itself!
With Nikki's cries through the door to see if there was someone on the other side of the door, the thunking sound against it seemed to stop. A sudden silence beyond the hissing sound of the gas along the floor, the touch of which from Cyril seems to have no effect. His sleeve, gloves if he has them, seem to start burning away while lingering in the path of the smog but his skin remains unharmed. The gas seems to oddly recede in fact, if only for a moment... Another harsh slam into the door finally arrives, followed soon my a guttaral screech as the face of it's source bursts through the door itself, a mass of black flesh oozing like slime down across it's face, dripping between jagged, ill formed fangs, a mindless, blind creature tearing it's way through the door and into the room that Nikki was barricading. With the beast's head through the door it's arm soon followed, tearing through the door beside it's face, starting to rend through the metal like it was nothing. As Seigi had read, the more 'liquid' esque source of the quirk seemed to be able to destroy non-organic material, and with a wild swipe of it's arm droplets of its black essense would lash out, touching each person in the room at some point on their body, eliciting a harsh burning reaction. No more than a droplet each but it would still make the stakes of touching this creature clear, and as it was making mincemeat of the metal door, the desk and the drawers likely unable to do much to halt him now that he was making his way through, his gas burning away more and more at the non organic materials in the room. Despite the information searched no one would find any hints of a live test subject but... A quirk notified to enhance the capabilities of those it touched A quirk that created a hive mind reaction in organic tissue A quirk that created a deeply acidic organic fluid and a gas that follows it's creation. With his knowledge of the quirk organs that were stored in that room, Seigi might be able to put together this monster was a mix of the three. The hyper-activated hive mind cells forming an entirely new person around the acidic organ, keeping the beast in a mindless state of permanent self regeneration and decay... and all it knew is it was hungry!

"Well I'll have you know that-"
Before he could continue the sound of the door they were so eagerly questioning earlier started to strain open. What revealed itself to the trio was a grotesque monstrosity drenched in a black ooze. Even now Cyril could not help but wonder about the type of experiments the poor thing had been put under. The conditions of the lab down here spoke of malpractice through a lack of proper care and hygiene. If this was his specimen he would of taken proper care of it, lots of room for it to run around and experience life while still being under his watchful eye. Because when things like that are not done to live subjects they become difficult and hard to handle. Like this one has become.
Jagged teeth too numerous to count made the young doctor believe that this thing was beyond the ability to speak. A lack of ears made him assume it also could not hear however there were many other methods to perceive sound that he could not actively rule out without testing or reading the original research notes. The notes! Of course! With those they could not only know what this creature was made out of but also how to identify its weak points and whether or not it could be taken in alive.
Yes even now in the face of this black oozing monstrosity the young doctor was thinking about research and which quirk, or quirks were currently working within that body. And whether or not they could be removed or replaced.
"Nikki that thing might be too much for you to handle, could you find a creative way to keep it at bay?"
Cyril would suggest as he shook his hand, a bit of black ooze having touched it and burning it. The creature seemed to secret a sort of acidic compound. Okay that was one mystery solved. The gas that it emitted also seemed to burn through non-organic organisms. So with gas that burnt through non-organic and ooze that burnt through organic...how exactly were they supposed to defeat it again? Frantically going through his thoughts as he slowly backed away from the creature, Cyril begun to theory craft.
Perhaps when it came to dealing with a different doctors experiments, one must look at his notes. If that is not possible look at how the creature was kept. If it could melt organic material with its gas, how come the door did not rot away as quickly as other material has? Nor the walls of the room they were in if it was so closeby next door? Within the room it was kept would probably be the secret of how to keep or even defeat the creature.
"If we can get inside the other room, we might find what was restraining it all this time."

You Looking for someone to Rock Your World~? ❝ “What the he-!” Not exactly sure what she should have expected to see peeking out of the hole that had been made in the door but the slimy whatever the hell this thing was certainly far from her first choice on any list, Miss Nakajima paused for a second as she looked at that head poking out at her and paid for that as she found a viscous limb being swiped at her, which rather caught her off guard in a number of ways. Perhaps some part of the vigilante vixen hoping that the creature was innocent or could be reasoned with in some way but that optimism betrayed in but a moment when it moved, instinctively she raised her closest arm the second that she saw it lash out toward her, though that didn’t seem to make much difference to what was happening to her. Fuck, even my metal form? The nearness of Nikki making it hard for hr to duck out of the way of the swipe that came from the acidic appendage and the minx treated to an experience that she rarely felt while she was in her metal form when she felt paint shooting through the forearm of her nearest limb, the sound of sizzling filled the air as the steely siren felt that chemical peel burning away at her brilliant bod, and because of that shock factor she not only stumbled backward but also dropped the desk she had been holding all this time. Dammit, this is what I get for being charitable… The mix of wood and metal clattering to the ground as the young woman stumbled and gripped the arm which had been splattered by that spicy shower, the warrior winced as she felt her sturdy form being corroded by that nasty load she had been sprayed with but despite the discomfort with which she was inflicted sensed of the three she would do the best against it despite the generous allowance she was given; after all her sturdy shape was rather dense and resilient when she had her quirk activated like this. “Oh right, right, ladies first is it?” Naturally it seeming like neither of the gallant guys she was with would even spare a moment to check on her condition however but instead were happy to send her orders, Miss Nakajima clicked her tongue as the body she was guarding barked behind her and shot some sarcasm back, though despite her sass reckoned that he might not have had the worst idea here. “Don’t you worry about the monster boys, I guess the girl will take care of it!” Unsure exactly of what the new face here was capable of but guessing that the good doctor would struggle against a acidic adversary like this one, though she didn’t take to the task with much in the way of pep the princess of pugilism still set about her task with a weary sigh, and waited for the caustic creation to break through the door fully before booting the desk she had dropped at it in order to knock it back into the room through the sheer weight and force with which she could strike. “Sorry goopy Gary…” Shaking her head once she had done so and guessing that any effort of delay on her part would need her to conjure a decent arsenal of weapons she could use since it seemed the burning beast would only harm her to hit, a moment later the metal minx was grabbing the nearest intact filing cabinet with her good arm and lifting it up, and waiting for her next clear shot at her enemy before unleashing it. “This here’s a private party!” Able to effortlessly lift such an item with a single hand and unleash it with the kind of power that could stay a rampaging rhino, Nikki licked her lips for a moment before she hurled the man-made item rather unceremoniously, needing little aiming skill to hit something of that size when they were working in an environment as close as this to send it spinning through the air with the force of a truck and dead on target. After all, if she couldn’t dodge, then neither could it!
