The united front of attacks seemed to find a natural synergy among the students, and things looked good. Misa attributed it to the strength and smarts of her elders, and she considered herself lucky to be able to witness such impressive feats. She had to bite her tongue to stop herself from verbally expressing the emotion when she saw the bear student catch the spy masters hand. Yes, at this rate they'd wrap this up early. She noticed what seemed like a glint of worry over the zombie sensei's eyes as the hand started to look like it would heat up. "Is he... weak to the explosion..?" She mumbled to herself offhandedly, and the idea was reinforced a bit when the man re-positioned himself to sacrifice the entire arm rather than take the brunt of that blast. Maybe a new weakness, from being reanimated? Every quirk she had seen in her life had drawbacks when used, even her own paper was flammable... If they had a weapon he was weak to, and natural strategy like this... this fight was nearing it's end, right? Her amateur eyes widened in surprise when he spoke with smooth confidence. He had to be bluffing, right? The wires encasing her, tearing through her paper wings made her scream out in fear. If they could tear through her wings so easily, then she knew she stood no chance. In a meek response, she raised her arms to block the guaranteed death sentence that was closing in on her personal space. The wires, when hitting her skin, only dug in a little. As if held back at the last second. Her life was spared by the pity of the zombie sensei, who proceeded to slam her to the ground with great force. She was released from the wraps as soon as she landed, but was given no quarter as the net from below threatened to yank her. "No..." She grumbled, attempting to push herself off the ground with shakey hands, but it was obviously going to fail. Until Tetsuko's protective embrace wrapped around her and lifted her to her feet, even forming a defense from the attack instantly. This was the trait of the number one student, that Misa could never hold a candle to. "Thank you, Tetsuko-sama." Her voice was hoarse and weak, followed by a cough. She wanted to apologize for slowing them down again after promising not to, but needed to focus on the fight and catching her breath. Everything else was just extra. Her full attention went to the spy master, eyes narrowing as his arm regrew with incredible speed. Ah, that could easily by why he was so willing to sacrifice it earlier. He knew it would be back. If he had a power like that, then their best bet would be to restrain him, not kill him right? "Thank you for your mercy, sensei, I'll make sure to take this lesson to heart." She raised her arm, and it was visibly shaking with fear for her own life but it went towards the net and paper reached out as quickly as she could make it, trying to create a chain around the net and his wrist in an attempt to slow his speed and mobility by 'anchoring' him to Tetsuko's metal defense that she had put up. Tsuji needed a distraction, Tetsuko was busy with defense, Elise was a healer... so in her mind it put the weight of that burden onto herself and Kirk. She'd think herself useless against an opponent of this caliber, but with Tetsuko looking after her like this... maybe there was some hope?

Sadly, Kirks actual attacking efforts had gone a little bit to waste! Instead of staying in Tsujis grasp, Spymaster had outright ripped their own arm off to get out of it thanks to Tetsukos slash! Kirk hadn't exactly expected it, and with it, the guy had easily jumped over him yet again, giving his back a rough kick to gain even more height! Luckily, Kirk was planning to get down to the ground anyway, so he landed quite safely on his feet! However, that was not all the foe was doing! They started attacking rapidly, blasting through the dust cloud, as Kirk squatted a little to cover his face and head from any strikes with the basketball and his arms...
Kirk surveyed the area quickly, trying to see through his own cloud what was happening... Okay, Tetsuko had the first year safe and sound, That was good... Tsuji was talking something about explosives... and yeah zombies burned well! That would make sense! As the situation slowly ended, and the dust cloud evaporated, Kirk could see that he himself wasn't harmed at all! "Guess your eyes really are weak, when you keep just pitching fouls like that, huh!?" Kirk tried to keep his mood up, only to realize what was going on by looking at the ground... "Aw heck!" It looked like Tetsuko was making some sort of safe space for them to crawl under, but with Kirk this far away, he wouldn't be able to make it!
However, his eyes locked onto spymaster. With the guy pulling them up like in a web, naturally, he would need to close it inward at some point! He had to be quick! He dropped his basketball down, and hopped on top of it, to see if it was strong enough to handle being lifted by the wires... if it was, he would let himself be carried upwards for a little while, but if it wasn't he would proceed to immediately use it as a jumping off point to reach closer to him! This attack needed to be interrupted somehow, or they would all be surrounded! With that he pulled his arms backwards, grabbing his baseball bats grip, as he got into the guys range... And then his muscles tightened!
"Here we go! TRIPLE!" He swung the bat overhead with humongous force down towards, outright making himself spin in the air like a tire! However, next, he bulked up his pouch into a huge hammer of its own as he lead the bat slide down. "DECKER!" And finally, to finish off this funky 360 spin, his right leg off course proceeded to be aimed towards the skies! "TIRE STYLE SPIKE!" And with that, like a falling tree with a backwards axe at the end of it, his heel would rush down to try and smash the guy back to the earth, or if he was lucky, outright split whatever the guy was blocking with in half! It was a relatively simple attack in three steps, just like Kirk liked it!
However, after it, Kirk mentally prepared to fall as his pouch still remained open from his attack... heck there was all the wire too! This was probably gonna hurt! Although, with rough head-on attacks like these being his specialty, he was quite used to it. "INCOMING!"

She had to admit that the fact her late mentor discarded his arm so readily had come as a surprise even for Elise, one might have thought it might had been a reckless action, but she also knew Kiryu was someone who was not the type to make an action without a good cause, something that Elise took into consideration as Tsuji explained the nature of the canister's contents. A frown lingered on her features, pondering about what it could possibly be that had driven Kiryu to take such action. Was the explosion that strong that he feared getting hit by it? No, that didn't make sense... Still, even as she was formulating a strategy, Elise didn't sit idle, watching her teammates try their best to defeat her resurrected master.
"Ganbatte Misa-chan~" Elise spoke in the hope to help Misako regain some confidence while the moment her master regrew his arm she felt something odd, something unpleasant. Her body shivered, not out of fear but because of the familiar sensation of her master's wires moving unseen, like a fishnet try to entrap his prey. Fortunately she didn't need sight to know their location, just the movement and the subtle vibrations they caused through her being as Elise jumped into the air, her body morphing into the form of a small slime blob as she started to use the hockey stick she had taken earlier to literally bounce between the gaps of the net by using her acrobatics. It was at the same time Kirk unleashed his volley of attacks, that Elise spotted a potential opening for her master to exploit. Kirk's powerful swing of his bat, the sweep of his pouch and the heel drop were threatening for sure, but it was this swift barrage of attacks that could possibly leave for a counter-attack! So right during that moment, that opportunity to exploit the opening in Kirk's defense, that the slime girl took a stronger bounce and whirled the hockey stick in a spinning horizontal motion through the air, intending to intercept a potential attack aimed at Kirk and then bounced off the stick, her slimey tendrils pulling the stick along with her and attempting to land inside the comfort of Kirk's pouch she hummed playfully. "Don't mind me Kirk, just gonna freeload in here again, need a bit of time to figure something out~"
And with that she hid herself and the hockey stick in Kirk's pouch, allowing some of her slime to tend to the lad's injuries.
"Hmm..." She mused quietly thinking about the earlier act. The explosion was driven by gas, meaning it likely was pyrokinetic in nature? Something that would produce flames? It just didn't make sense for an explosion alone to make her master take such an action, he was too calculating to do something that reckless unless it was truly needed...
Peeking up from the edge of Kirk's pouch she looked at Tetsu. "Tsuji, can you fire that canister in a shroud toward Kiryu-sensei? Don't worry about hitting him yet, it just needs to ignite. Tetsu try to use 'that' clever move of yours for when people are out of your range~ With Misa-chan trying to restrain him it should work!"
If her assumption was right, then it was not the explosion, but the fire kindled by it that was what her master was afraid of!

Nice work Tetsu. He didn't have the thought to say it allowed but he had to admit that her bravery in sacrificing herself in the face of the net was a brave move. She was one of the furthest back relative to him which put her in a strong position to block his attack since it flowed up from the back of the group, and while his wires were sharp enough to cut into her steel shield a little it wouldn't be enough to cut through it, and subsequently, her to reach the rest of the group. His red eye sharpened with a harsh gaze. Tsuji rushed to her to rest in the safe space while he recharged... he'd briefly wonder if he already knew what he was capable of in this fight, but he couldn't hesitate for long.
A stream of paper flowed around his arms, even the recently re-formed one, sighing in frustration. It effectively locked his palms down in place for a moment, and just as Kirk was rushing in. While he couldn't release the net, with the fact Tetsu held back the attack it had given him a lot of slack to work with, hopping backwards rapidly from Kirk. He narrowly avoided the first baseball slam and the slap from his sack as the spinning tornado of sports based death tried to envelop him. Two flips back and the paper molted from his hands, escaping the range of the paper girl's quirk and leading him and Kirk into the field full of severed zombie bodies. Releasing the net, he was about read to retaliate as-
"GAGH!"
A hard strike under his chin a spinning hockey stick caught him off his game, his eyes growing wide as, even undead, he knew he was in for a world of pain, feeling that axe like leg strike down into his gut and slam him down into the earth, the blood stained grass splashing out underneath him, leaving him groaning briefly before forcing through the pain, knowing full well he'd heal any damage put into him.
"Teamwork... well timed too... Guess I don't need to teach you guys that lesson... let's try-"
He reached an arm up, slamming it hard into the ground. The dirt beneath him suddenly seeming to burst open entirely, a cavernous gap beneath the dirt letting him and Kirk fall into it, spymaster reaching out to cling to his wires as Kirk fell past him.
"Paying attention to your environment...!"
Yanking himself out of the hole, he rapidly began to scoop up zombie parts with his wires till the hole was filled, effectively trying to bury Kirk in there and seal him off from the fight as he tried to get himself out. Even with his regeneration he was feeling a little short on breath here, turning back to face the others seeing if they'd caught up.

"A gas canister..." Tetsuko repeated as Tsuji explained the details of his weapon. Why Taskmaster feared it, the swordswoman couldn't say. Perhaps an explosion would deal sufficient damage to the man? Whatever the reason, knowing that he was cautious of the canister was useful in its own right. It meant that they had something to threaten him with. Sure, maybe it wasn't even that big a threat to him, but she was willing to take a few risks. Rather, there was no way they were going to beat Spymaster without taking a few risks.
Tetsuko herself was willing to put everything on the line to beat him, that boldness serving her well against the powerful attack. Those deadly wires would dig into her armor and shield, some even slicing through to the point she could feel it begin to press against her skin, but Tetsuko held fast, stopping the attack while her teammates went to work. Tsuji was waiting patiently for the next attack, Misako was still doing her best, the first year giving her all in an admirable display. Kirk was on the offensive, and Elise had taken shelter in his pouch. The display would be amusing if the situation weren't so dire.
Elise offered a bit of strategy, Tetsuko nodding seriously. Using the fire from Tsuji's attack, hm? It seemed Elise had an idea... If flame was to be their asset, then indeed, trying to ignite Spymaster was their best course of action. However, things weren't going to be so simple. Although Kirk managed to land a solid hit on the man, he - and potentially Elise, who was caught in his pouch - would be buried in a mass of corpses!
"Dammit!" Tetsuko shouted out, releasing her defense now that Spymaster had been forced to fall back several steps. She shed her armor and shield, as the wires were too deeply embedded for her to simply be rid of them. Allowing Misako to get to her feet, as it might just get in the first-year's way to keep holding her like this, Tetsuko would than face the former Pro Hero, thinking through her next movie...
"Tsuji-san, Elise seemed to think fire was key... But if we can't land a clean hit, we might want for fuel..." Tetsuko would utter quietly. There may yet be way to spread this flames further. With a pained look, she glanced to Tsuji, and then back towards the pile of corpses... That would presumably burn just as well as Spymaster himself.
"This might be difficult. So take another path if you feel it's best."
Her words weren't at all cold. Tetsuko truly did want Tsuj and Misako to do what they felt was right, because Tetsuko's plan wasn't exactly a pleasant one... But if anyone was to take the burden of these risks, it ought to be her.
The Shindou girl would rush forward towards Spymaster, knowing the other two would be guaranteed to provide some kind of assistance, given they were reliable as ever. With the shinobi in her sights, Tetsuko would pull her arms, feeling iron flow through it as she stared right through the man. Once Tetsuko was in range, she'd throw her arm forward, iron bursting from the palm, as four oversized blades shot out towards him from each hand. It was a pretty obvious attack, but Tetsuko was expecting him to dodge... Because he wasn't her target.
'Winter Form: Eight Phase Sword!'[/i]
Tetsuko's blades were aimed past Spymaster, through him even, to the pit of zombie parts he'd just made. Aiming to skewer through some of the top layer, she'd then fling her arm up, aiming to not only slash at Spymaster if he'd gone skyward, but also send some of those hopefully flammable zombie bits flying into the air!

The team was taking a bit of a heavy assault from the revenant teacher, but at the very least some where protected – Tsuji was saved from the wires by Tetsuko's iron shield, as some wrenched through into the metal, but couldn't make it all the way in towards them. He did notice that when he dived into safety, a little tuft of his hair was on the ground, just showing how much of a close shave it was. Not one to disapprove of action, the decisions people were coming too as his hand was cooled down were all worth taking into consideration – Elise thought of a shroud attack, wider range to get more fire going against Spymaster, while Tetsuko was about as open as Tsuji was to anything, but she seemed to be giving an opening in the wake of Kirk's very own trial in this battle. Thinking about it, and with his spot becoming more compromised if he stayed, the bear knew it was time for action – one that would help odds dramatically. This time, it would be a little sneakier. Tsuji placed another cartridge into his hand, and sure enough the gas was ready, as well as his palm. The plan was simple enough; with Tetsuko and Misako as a distraction, as well as Kirk being the focus of Spymaster's attack, Tsuji would be able to ignite his hand once more, but this time in favour of a ranged attack. The shroud was a neat enough idea, but he didn't exactly have the range to cover a wide enough cone. Thus, he would angle his arm upward, and adjust his hand so that as the gas began to heat up, he could hold it, and shape it to the best of his ability. He was going for more of a beam, than the ball form he had practised the technique with. The beam would fire out in a more direct manner, and he would aim to make it just wide enough to pierce directly through the teacher's head. Morbid of an approach, yes, but it would send the spirit much quicker. With the idea made, Tsuji began to act. This would need to take a lot of set-up, so he looked over to Misako to relay the start: “Misako, I need you to make sure he stays where he is. If he dodges Tetsu's attack, keep him in that place. Trust me, ok?” he said, before heading out from the shield of steel. Next up was Elise. “Elise! I have a plan! We need to keep him still, ok?” he said across the field. Now with most people informed, he would enact phase 1 of Operation Beam through teacher's Head. Work in progress title. As he saw Tetsuko rush through to Kirk's aid, it seemed like she had the right idea of the plan, moving towards the body parts and slicing them in a way to send them up in the air. With a cavalcade of flammable options now, Tsuji heated his hand up as much as possible and pushed forward a ball of fire that would light the pieces up. If Spymaster didn't like it, then how about surrounding him with it? Thus, he'd be kept busy for the next phase.

Misa's chain attempt to hold the zombie memory of their sensei didn't hold very long at all, much to Misako's dismay. At least she could keep the man moving, though. That was important, right? More importantly, the rest of her team seemed to be doing much better. Elise pointed out the fire thing, and Misa's own suspicions seemed confirmed by the idea so she backed it completely. After Tetsuko let her down, she seemed to come to a decision and make a move of her own. "A different path..?" Misa wasn't sure what her senpai was talking about, but her attention was grabbed by Tsuji quickly, letting her know that he needed her to try to hold the sensei still. She wasn't confident she could, considering her own surprise attack from earlier hardly hindered the man, but she could definitely try her best. She ran towards the sensei as he was surrounded by the body parts of the lesser zombies that attacked earlier. It was hard to look at, but Tetsuko was right. It was a good plan. "Try to escape this then, old man!" She mumbled, paper peeling off her body again as she created constructs around the sensei, using the body parts interwoven with her own paper to attempt a make shift net with the other advantage of being highly flammable. Whether it would be enough to hold their sensei for long enough that the attack could land was a different story. Just in case, Misa was quick to throw all the paper she could towards the zombie. If he did try to dodge, she wanted the explosion and flames to be intense enough to case some damage to him regardless... granted, she was also close to the center of the explosion, and weak to fire. The first lesson was sacrifice, right? She had to take risks to be effective.

As usual in any sports based match-up, the side that received the most help from its team was usually victorious! And in the most important moment of all, Kirk could feel somebody having his back. Literally! His hockey stick stolen before was swung straight into spymaster, comboing perfectly into his full power blow downwards! As the man was falling to his perceived doom, Kirk could hear his friend from behind himself. "No worries! I actually recommend it! Cause this fall ain't gonna be comfortable!" Despite the fight having a lot more stakes than his usual bouts, the guy couldn't stop excitedly smiling. This was the sort of heroism he was all about! Besides, Elise had always had a bit of a healing presence to herself! Honestly, with Spymaster down below him, maybe he could even try some sort of a body slam on top of him!
However, as he looked down to take aim, the realization hit, with the insultive shouts of the former teacher. He had a trap there too!? Sadly, Kirks quirk still had its downfalls. As acrobatic as he could be with it, there was one great problem: He couldn't really do much to maneuver himself, if he didn't have anything to bounce off of! The fact that his attack had stopped his momentum was now stabbing him in the back, as he couldn't do much but fall downwards towards the hole!
However, he could still do one thing! As he was falling, he turned his body in the air and aimed his pouch behind Tetsuko and the others. He himself may have been in trouble, but atleast he could save his compatriot! "Sorry Elise, if this triggers some sort of ptsd, but...!" The opening of kirks pouch tightened around elise like a tight noose, locking air into the pouch. Elise being a slime perhaps made the airlock even more effective. And through sheer muscle force, he squeezed the part of the pouch with the air against Elise, until a satisfying *POP* launched the girl through the air like a cork! "PITCHING CANNON!" However, with that, he was left falling down as he pointlessly tried to swing his arms towards and grab spymaster as he fell!
However, he still wasn't a complete goner! As he fell, he turned his back against the ground, and puffed it up, making his fall atleast slightly more comfortable. However, as a bonus, it allowed him to almost immediately launch himself back into the air, with an arc towards the side! As the corpse parts started falling on him, he swung the bat, trying to clear some of them out of the way of his flight, so he could grab, and stay at a higher point atleast, making the rest of the climb a little bit quicker! "DON'T WORRY GUYS! I AM ALRIGHT! I'LL BE BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!" With that, he took a deep breath, as for the moment, he was covered in zombie pieces, and proceeded to try and climb them up, occasionally patting his back against the bodies to see if he could launch himself through them!

He wasn't short on breath, his regenerating state made sure of that, but he definitely felt he was on the back foot. Back in their first year he could have trounced these kids all at once without even thinking about it, and especially without being a zombie... Now? He'd been on the back foot since the beginning of the fight if he was honest, constantly dodging backwards and without even the time to set up effective traps. The one he'd put Kirk in was just one he'd luckily set up on his initial assault through the zombie horde. He had to give it to these kids, they'd come a long way if they-
No time to congratulate! Tetsuko was rushing in close and with deadly weapons to boot. Speaking of the backfoot he found himself falling into a back flip to try and put distance between himself and the assaulting woman, only to narrow his eyes curiously as the blades flew past him by a country mile. What was she up to...? Without much time to think Misako followed up, threads of paper forming around him, shreds of zombies from his earlier assault locked around him in a paper net that would likely try to constrict itself around him. He reached for his invisible strands, trying to cut through the net but Tetsuko's feint had him off guard, locked in place, groaning as the foul stench of severed zombie limbs was right up in his face, the sensation far from pleasant even in death.
Finally, Tsuji rushed up from the back. Elise seemed a little shellshocked from the fact she may have been about to watch spymaster die for a second time but... he was at peace with this. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. The niggling in his brain that forced him to fight kept his limbs struggling, just about to tear free of the paper night, when a final burst of flame enveloped him, igniting the paper and zombie limbs all about his body. Even free, the fire enveloped him with such ferocity any attempt to douse it would likely only aid it's spread at this point.
He didn't feel pain... he wasn't in agony... but he knew this was over.
"Guess I don't need to teach you all teamwork... so here. Final lesson..."
He reached out suddenly, the invisible fibres enveloping Tsuji, the closest of the students at this point. The niggling in his brain wouldn't stop, he had to make this difficult to the very end! With stumbling steps he fell back into the pit of Zombie parts Kirk was still trying to make his way out of. "Never leave a fellow hero behind!" He called out his last lesson as his body forced him to act, falling into the pit the flammable zombie limbs would quickly start to ignite around him, spreading rapidly in turn. He tried to tug as hard as his burning body allowed at Tsuji to drag him in too. Between Kirk and Tsuji himself, the students would have seconds to save their comrades as Spymaster burned in his new grave.

Kirks efforts climbing up continued, As the flash of flames blasted over the opening at the top! "YEEEEEEEEEEAH!" From his perspective it was a point blank shot. No way for the guy to be standing after something like that! However, the man was still talking. Of course, he was a zombie! However, what he didn't expect, was what came after, As Kirk could see the figures of both Spymaster and Tsuji fall down into the pit, in a flaming mess of wires! And the teachers final lesson... Somehow it yet again hit Kirk almost personally. Almost like a direct insult aimed at him and Tsuji. Kirk grunted his teeth in anger, as he took a deep breath, and once again shouted, with his voice almost at a breaking point, a thing that had been building up for a little while. "THAT IS THE ONE THING YOU DON'T NEED TO TEACH US!" Almost like in answer a gigantic metal arrow slammed against the wall near him. Tetsukos Arrow stood majestically, almost as a testament to that statement as he leapt towards with all his force. All of the people here, none of them would want to leave any of them to die! Even if it costed their life, they would try! And with the tool Tetsuko had provided and with the force behind his jump, Kirk proceeded to swing on the pole, pushing his legs as far as they could reach. "Grab on, Tsuji!" With the weight of the bear, and maybe even their teachers weight against his legs, Kirk could feel the muscles on his arms almost stretching. Painful, yet very effective workout! "If you can, I would appreciate anything that would make this next step easier! Gotta get up there, stat!" With the extra weight from tsuji, he span on the arrows shaft, like it was some sort of pull up bar repeatedly, gathering more speed, as his body was screaming. "On 3!" All this extra weight, he tried to wrap his legs around Tsuji, just to make sure he wouldn't fall off! "ONE!" God each swing felt like he was being ripped into two! "TWO!" And each swing made his body heat-up, like a gear being switched. "THREE!" And with the last number, he would let go of the pole at its apex! "DYNAMIC... HEAT... HOME-RUN!!! Like a humongous rocket, Kirk and tsuji launched themselves towards the skies, Hopefully in an angle that would reach the side of the hole. At this point, Kirk was pretty much an extra rocket that would have probably been dropped, if both of them didn't want to be safe at this point. With the rest out of his hands, he couldn't help but give one more shout! "THANKS FOR THE LESSONS, TEACH!" And with his voice entirely spent, He could only say the next thing normally, almost like a whisper to those who were used to listening to him. "And thanks for introducing me to this school. That class was the most reassuring thing ever." With Kirks quirk being mostly useless in the air for maneuvering, the rest was up to Tsuji and Misako.

...Well, perhaps the full on plan wasn't needed. Whatever Tsuji had seemed to be enough to send Spymaster reeling, with plenty of help from his fellow students of course. His arm was still pretty warm from the blast, but he was satisfied in being able to deal a hefty amount of damage towards the former teacher. This feeling however, would be very quickly interrupted, as the teacher had one last ditch effort, and one more twisted lesson to give. Since he was closest, he sent his wires towards Tsuji, grabbing him before he knew what to do, and dragging him below towards the burning pile of body parts that lay in the gaping maw of the pit the teacher made. The wires, while small, packed plenty of power, binding the bear and causing many small cuts to be made on his body. He yelped out a bit as he felt blood trickle through his fur, and the scraping sounds made on his arm. Thankfully, this would not be the last of Tsuji Kuma, not if he could help it. Through the flames and commotion that came with them, a metal spike, almost a bar of sorts, crashed into the dirt, surely a saving grace from Tetsuko. Soon after, diving after him directly was Kirk, bellowing as hard as possible, grasping onto the bar with incredible athleticism. As he demanded Tsuji to grab onto his legs for support, the bear wrenched free his remaining natural arm, and grabbed on as hard as possible, the wires digging in further as a result. Kirk asked for help, something to make sure that would get not just him, but both of them out of this situation – and Tsuji had the perfect idea; why not combine the plan with the escape? It'd come at great cost, possibly breaking or making his cybernetic limb temporarily unusable, but it would be worth it. “Of course, Kirk! Give me a moment.” cried the bear, as he reached for one last cartridge. This one had a lot riding on it, after all. He slotted it into the arm as fast as he could, as Kirk began to swing. Looking back down, Tsuji saw the teacher, still falling and trying his hardest to pull him down. He felt naught but sorrow for him, being wrenched from the afterlife in such an appalling way. Thus, he only felt right to make sure he returned to peace, once and for all: “Teacher! I am sorry for you, and all the pain you must have endured. I have not known you like others, but I know you enough to know this... your soul will return to heaven once more! May your spirit carry through to the rest of the world, on this, a day of reprisal for your life!” said Tsuji, as if he was preparing for a burial – which, in many cases, could have been true in this scenario. With that, Tsuji closed his eyes, as his arm reached a boiling point once more, right as Kirk released himself from the bar with a giant leap upward. As if heaven itself was guiding him, he knew what to do. He latched on to the arm, as he thought in the plan, and fired:
"My soul is a blaze of hope! One that destroys any evil future your master desires... and opens the pathway to tomorrow!"
“DYNAMIC... HEAT... HOME-RUN!”
Tsuji launched what he had hoped for, if not even larger – a long beam of pure heat energy, the force of which began to send him and Kirk skyrocketing into the air above, and hopefully out of the pit. Some fragments of the arm began to peel off, it semed, as the pieces fell down to the ground, the arm still white hot from not having time to charge down. As they moved further and further upward, he was not sure if it was the burning energy around him, or the state of which the fight was ending, but as they rose, a single tear fell from Tsuji's eye. He hoped the teacher would find peace in the next life.

With hellish fury, Spymaster was engulfed in flames.
In that decisive action, the battle was over. All that was left was more lessons, more teachings... But Tetsuko tired of it. Not just because she was tired of being taught what she already knew, but also... Because Spymaster had already taught them the most important lesson they'd learned. Such that his being here, teaching them these final lessons, felt like an insult to that... As his body began to burn up, the crackling of flame filling the air, all Tetsuko could do was think about how she wanted to pay her final respects to the man...
But before that, she would at least honor his last message, his last lesson. No one was going to be left behind, let alone allies. Tetsuko had long since decided that it was her right, no, her duty, to save others. That was why she fought, that was why she put her steel heart on the line, and dedicated it to their cause. So, when Tsuji and Kirk were in trouble, it was only natural that Tetsuko lend her aid. Iron flowed from her hands, forming a heavy bow in which she quickly placed an arrow, that she loosed at the appropriate location to give Kirk and Tsuji their aid out of the hell Spymaster tried to put them into.
As they rocketed up into the air, preparing to deliver their own acceleration of Spymaster's demise, Tetsuko looked to Elise, her eyes full of empathy for her lover. Elise's former mentor, the man who'd died to protect her... He was about to put to rest again, and Tetsuko knew how hard that might be. But it had to be done. Because... As far as Tetsuko was concerned... It was important to his final lesson.
"Elise... Scatter his ashes where he'd want them, alright?"
Tetsuko uttered quietly, with a soft and gentle smile, before turning her eyes to the man himself. Just as Tsuji's final heat blast scorched the man, surely consuming his body entirely in flame, the Shindou girl would dart forward, throwing out her hand towards the pit. As she did, an iron cable shot from her arm, aiming to grab Spymaster and retrieve his body. Even if he burned, Tetsuko didn't want it to be in there... She wanted to see him fade away, to give him the chance to release his spirit.
"Sensei... These lessons were kinda silly, y'know..." Tetsuko uttered quietly, pain and sadness in her voice. "You already taught us... The most important lesson. And you did it on the day you died... It's a lesson we, perhaps, never wanted to learn...." She gulped down, eyes welling up, as she tried to retrieve what was left of his burning corpse.
"Sensei... Please find rest. Because you taught us... That even Heroes can die. Don't let us take that sadness for granted..."

Misako was aware that she had expended her best efforts here. She had barely been able to produce the paper used to do any of her tricks here. Yeah, she had a ways to go... but with the support of her allies and friends, it was going great. They had landed their blow on the spymaster. Their enemy had been on the backfoot, even with his few impressive offensives but... even as he burned he had a glint of negligence in his defiant eyes.
"Last lesson... no!"
As he reached for Tsuji, Misa stood but she was tired and weak. There was nothing for someone as outclassed as her to do in a situation as serious as this. Luckily, she wasn't needed as much as she feared. Kirk saved the bear, launching them both into the air and Tsuji, unlike Misako when faced with death, was brave and strong, attacking the enemy again. Misa was honestly jealous of the boy, but he had a head start on her. She was all uphill from here, right?
No time to worry about that, though. The boys were falling from the sky and it was up to the rest of them to help out. Using her speed she'd charge towards one of the falling boys. Her wings formed with less glory than they'd had before but she still jumped and took flight. She flew under the both of them as best as she could, about halfway between them and the ground. Her goal was to serve as a type of durable cushion for them, to break their fall.
"I gotcha, I gotcha! I swear!"
The impact would be rough, but Misa was confident that there wouldn't be serious injuries if they hit her to break their fall then the three of them crash landed. Yeah, it would hurt but... well pain was tolerable.

Post by Elise Von Eisenberg on Oct 3, 2020 16:30:03 GMT -4
It were during moments like this that Elise understood that she no longer had a place on the battlefield. She had heard it often: Elise cared too much, and she knew from herself that it was the truth. Even if she tried to not do so, deep inside she was a kind and caring person, so to see her late mentor being attacked like this, it made her hesitant, it troubled her so much that she thought about how she had nearly asked them to stay their hand, whether she wouldn't be able to figure out a means to release her master from the control of this quirk in a peaceful manner, but such hopes were naive, and dangerous even. With the skillful combination of attacks that Tsuji and Kirk unleashed, and Misako's quick thinking in an effort to save them, Tetsuko's words to her snapped Elise's thoughts back to reality. It seemed the end had come for her master, and for a moment Elise couldn't help but recall her master's words: A shinobi is an expert at concealing their emotions and controlling them, after all, deception was one of their tools of trade. As much as her heart longed to let out her regrets and break out in tears to apologize to him, a part of her understood that this would be the final time they would truly be able to say farewell. She didn't want Kiryu to die again worrying about the fate of his student, of his successor, even if she still considered herself unworthy of the title.
"Kiryu-sensei..." She took a step forward, her head hung low as she watched the embers of the flames kindling as his body was being consumed like a living pyre. What could she possibly say? She had so many things she wanted to tell him, so many things she wanted to ask about and apologize for, but in the end she decided to do what her heart told her to. She raised her head, her lips curving up into a gentle smile, as if they had just finished one of their lectures for the day.
"Thank you for your lesson." It was hard to say the words while holding back her tears, and yet she tried to do so, no she wanted to have Kiryu get his eternal rest in a way that he would feel at ease, he didn't need to worry about her any longer, she had others to do that for him, and it wasn't like she was all alone in this world.
"Good night, Have a nice sleep~" It was an almost childish way of parting, but in a way she tried to look at it as if Kiryu was indeed going to sleep, an eternal sleep that would free him from the darkness that haunted the world, the darkness he had fought for so long, and sacrificed so much for.
Yet, after he finally had truly perished, it seemed that Elise had reached her limit, for even as her smile lingered, the tears started to roll down her cheek and soft sobs started to come from her.
Elise truly cared too much, but that was because of just how much she loved those around her. The importance those bonds held for her, was something no words could possibly describe.

He had to admit... the kids were right. Truth be told he didn't know what he was doing, teaching them 'lessons' in his actions. He had so little control over his body today, this day back on earth amongst the living. He fought people he should care for and nurture, and if all he could control were the words from his lips maybe it was just to leave them with... with some semblance that he was in control. That there was something he could gain from all this, from this day back, from this fight, from his time with them.
But... as much as he could pretend to teach them, he knew. He could get the upper hand on them for a second, use his newfound regenerative gifts to lay a trick in here or there but at the end of the day, heck, from the moment they got their shit together, he knew there was so little to teach those faces he remembered. So much they'd teach the faces behind them, and behind them. As he fell into the pit, watching Kirk vault out with Tsuji, hearing the last words of the honorable Tetsuko, the almost playful goodbye of Elise... He...
The flames were ripping through him now. Tearing through whatever was holding him together, keeping him healing, regenerating, firing off those last neurons still kicking inside his brain. It didn't hurt. It wasn't pleasant but it didn't hurt. He was just numb. His vision began to darken and he took a raspy breath as his throat began to burn with the rest. He lay there, unable to move, unable to act, unable to fight.
As he fell, he knew what the kids would do. He knew what Elise would do. He only had a few words left in him, not enough to express how impressed he was, how thankful he was. He could only say...
"Chins up... Heroes."
The fire would burn for an hour hence, the flames never escaping the pit he had made for himself.
