[nospaces] [attr="class","finn1"] [attr="class","finnimg"] [attr="class","finnbox"] [attr="class","finntag"]it's show time! [attr="class","finntext"]
Another day, another meeting was getting lined up! Honestly, it was nice to have respectable businesses reaching out to sort out all those open commercial slots he had open. Besides, it was extra material he could slide into the more radio drama branch of his show in a more organic fashion too. Perhaps his approach at advertising succeeded much better than he thought? The Deer Hatter of the radio certainly liked to hope so!
[break][break]
Besides, the station was incredibly reliant on getting those sweet, sweet sponsorships...and the new sponsor had some potential in getting a short term goal of his going. What was that goal? Well, Finn found himself inspired by the actions of a group of U.A students who were trying to be heroes for their community over in Musutafu by cleaning up the beach! So of course, it was admittedly a strong driving force of inspiration to see if he could so some good with what fanbase he had. Honestly, he wasn't sure how big said fanbase was, but maybe he could still use it somehow to do something beneficial?
[break][break]
Proving that not everyone with a quirk was some heinous maniac out for blood on a power trip would be greeeaaat, but eh...that may have been a tall order for some. How unfortunate that quirks were still pretty iffy territory at times, yet everyone understood they needed pro heroes to protect them all the same. It would be nice if that itchy collar around all their necks were loosened a bit soon, not like that stopped vigilantes, villains or, to a lesser extent, himself. Sitting there at his desk in the recording booth with his fingers laced together, "Good morning, my dear caller...what is it you would like to ask the Deer Hatter on this lovely day?" Lightly tilting his head as he spoke in a calm, cool collected tone, mostly because he was on auto-pilot and drifting about his thoughts.
[break][break]
"Hey so I was thinking about your opinion on golf...?" Blinking a couple of times, his ears perked up slightly and he sounded a little bemused, "Golf? Why, I mean no disrespect to the sport itself, but it's not what I'd call my cup of tea, dear caller~" Softly chuckling under his breath, the person on the other line spoke in a damn near matter of fact tone, "Like, okay, hear me out...it's one of the only sports out there where the main objective is to play the least amount of golf! Isn't that weird, or is it just me?!"
[break][break]
Lightly tapping the tip of his clawed fingers upon the back of his hands, his grin grew upon his lips, "Ah yes, it is quite strange now that I think about it! Perhaps whomever invented the sport immediately regretted it, but it was too late to turn back on their decision? Or someone thought it was going to be the sophisticated edition of hockey? Why! They try to play as little as possible, pay quite a bit of money to swing expensive metal sticks, yet it still lasts all day! HAH! It's much weirder than I thought, my dear caller!"
[break][break]
The was a gasp from the caller as a spark of realization hit them like a thunder bolt of lightning, "Yoooo! Deer Hatter!" "Yeeessssss?" "GOLF IS JUST A SLOW, LESS VIOLENT VERSION OF HOCKEY FOR RICH PEOPLE, YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" "Aaahahahaaa~! This seems to be the case, my dear caller!" There was a bit of a commotion on the line as though the caller was sharing this strange revelation with their peers before hanging up.
[break][break]
"Pffff, I suppose that's an interesting way to end the show, wasn't it? Well, my dear listeners, this concludes tea time with your host, the Deer Hatter~! Please tune in this evening for the mad tea party and don't be late for that very important date..." With that, the lit ON AIR sign was no longer illuminated as the sound engineer switched over to music. Leaning back in his chair, stretching for a good moment before removing his headphones and getting himself onto his feet, wiggling his tail in a little flick for a moment.
[break][break]
Glancing over to the intern who excitedly bobbled on her feet with two thumbs up. As Finn took his exit from the recording booth, he glanced over toward the bubbly young woman who scrambled to pick up her notes before pointing toward it. "Mister Halloran! Good work, today! Perfect timing and everything, your meeting with the representative from Ketsujo Corp is coming up soon! Clasping his hands together with a grin one would expect from a Cheshire cat, that tint of radio accented voice excitedly rang out before placing his hands behind his back. "Why yes of course my dear intern....Stephanie, was it?"
[break][break]
"No, um...actually, I'm Stacie, my twin sister is Stephanie. I should really wear my name tag more often since we both work here..." Squinting in thought as she headed back to her desk, whoops, she even forgot to change the name plates! Well that sure didn't help clear up confusion, did it? "That right there would be a splendid idea~!"
[break][break]
The little waiting area was pretty pale in comparison to the tall, suited fellow who clearly had a theme residing around black and red. As usual, the guy always over dressed for work which made his more formal encounters a little easier to prepare for. There was also a hallway that passed by the recording booth with a few doors along it that was very much so an employee only area.

Meetings were either about money, or about people. Everything was about connections. From people who benefited you, to people who would assist you into getting a benefit from something. Business was always about tactics, and as such, Kasey never treated it anything less than a battle. The war of commerce. She twisted the wheel of the car, taking the turn slowly as the man sat behind her. Both of them dawned matching outfits. A pressed and white dress shirt paired with a bowtie and black vest. A red tie for him, and a black one for her. Kasey's attire holding the drivers hat, black gloves and a coat to complete the look. Kasey reached over to the radio, turning it up. "Good morning, my dear caller...what is it you would like to ask the Deer Hatter on this lovely day?"The man sighed at the sound of it. "Master Kasey," he looked with concern towards her as she pulled the car into a spot. "I don't feel like-"She reached down, shifting the car into park, disappointed in the lack of entertainment of the vehicle, but she enjoyed the ride. "Master Hain, don't forget, you're the one in charge. I'm just your assistant.""Okay, but still, I'm not sure if-" before he could finish his words, she would take the keys and hope out of the car, shutting the door. With a quick walk, she opened his door for him. "Thank you... Are you sure this is what Sato wants?""Who cares what the fuck Sato wants? It's not his company anymore."The pair would make their way into the building, the man forbidden to touch any door as Kasey lead the way. Both of their demeanor changed as they entered the building. Kasey turning into an inward shy girl, as Hain would lead conversation to make sure they were going to the correct places. As they were directed to their seats, Hain would sit down, setting his ankle over his leg as he begun to take out his phone. Kasey on the other hand, stood in front of him, her hands folded behind her as she looked around. She would wait for the man to appear, and from there, they would listen in and see what they could tune into. "Master Hain, do you need anything else to prepare?""Unless you're going to send me more lives on this game, I really don't care.""oh, right away sir." A phone removed from her coat, a few taps before a ping could be heard from both of their phones. A smile from the female, and a slow nod from the man. ~ Word Count: 442 ~ |

[nospaces] [attr="class","finn1"] [attr="class","finnimg"] [attr="class","finnbox"] [attr="class","finntag"]it's show time! [attr="class","finntext"]
Twitching his ear lightly toward the sound of his guests, er, future business partners as they found their way their seats chattering about extra lives. Were...they playing a game on their phone? That didn't seem very professional at all...hmmmmmm.....
[break][break]
...........................
[break][break]
GOOD! That meant this wasn't going to be a boring pair to deal with! Those were the absolute worst! The Deer Hatter over here lost count when he had to be had to make ridiculous offers to tolerate such frustrating individuals. It was worth it to have priority for the coffee machine, that thing was trooper. He would absolutely host a funeral for it before trashing it if that blessed thing ever broke.
[break][break]
Flowers and all, it deserved only the best for all of its years of service! Flinging the door open with a hint of dramatic flare, his sharp grin was ear to ear while blurting out, "Did somebody say extra lives?!" With a step forward and a twirl that finished in a bow. Letting out a bemused cackle as he adjusted his posture, tilting his head slightly, swiveling his ear in the direction of the man's phone. The Deer Hatter's grin hadn't faltered, not even a smidge.
[break][break]
"Feel free to finish that level if you'd like~! Or we could rip off the bandaid and get this meeting over with while you multi-task~!" Finishing his words with a shrug, he shifted his gaze over toward the young woman and arched a brow. "Ah! Do you plan on joining us or would you prefer to wait in our lovely break room?" His tone was surprisingly friendly, especially since he prioritized the comfort of his peers to some extent or another.
[break][break]
Quite frankly, he wasn't completely sure what role she played in their duo and it felt straight up rude to assume. For all he knew, she was dragged along due to corporate nonsense and left with few options. Besides, life was much better as multiple choice!

Kasey tucked her phone away as Hain continued to tap away at his phone. He would glance up at the man before nodding at Kasey to advance towards him. Either to tell her to get a move on, or simply do something they agreed on. In truth, he was panicking already, he needed her to take the wheel, and to force her interaction, well that would be a start. Kasey would give a slight bow towards the man. His interest in the game only made Kasey more anxious. She would open her mouth, to speak, only for him to interrupt her. "I am here with Hain Mus-""Yeah yeah, let's get this over with. You have a life. I have a life. We have lives." He smiled a bit as she stood up. His gaze still on his screen. "Assistants. You can't live with them, you can't live without them. She's a good note taker." He would walk past Kasey, only to lightly nudge her off her balance. She would catch herself. "Uhm, alright then." She would extend a hand to the man, "Kasey, Setsuna, Ketsujo Representative and personal-""My assistant. Who cares for titles, let's go already. I have lobster at home." He would step towards the man, only to stop in the middle of the hallway. It wasn't like he knew where to go. "Do I need to introduce myself or is it safe to assume you've done your research?" He asked, only now setting his phone down for a moment to look over the man. It was easy to pretend to be a bad ass when you had someone acting as your personal bodyguard. It wasn't like Kasey would allow him to get hurt or anything. Not like it was real danger. He had to live up to Sato. "Nice suit."~ Word Count: 305 ~ |

[nospaces] [attr="class","finn1"] [attr="class","finnimg"] [attr="class","finnbox"] [attr="class","finntag"]it's show time! [attr="class","finntext"]
Poor dear, sweet young lady, was she an intern? The way she held herself came off as such, but the way this man described her clearly stated she was his assistant. Huh...well that was peculiar...! Many of the clients interested in becoming a sponsor didn't normally come with an assistant. There was a first for everything and this should prove interesting as could be...perhaps he would mess with the guy a bit?
[break][break]
After all, his manners were a little questionable and he damn near knocked that poor girl over....
[break][break]
Narrowing his eyes slightly as a sly grin played across his lips as he chuckled at the rolodex of potential harmless pranks he could play on the white haired fellow. After all...he sure seemed to like games...could be quite the bonding experience. Oh yes, this was going to be rich! ...oooor at least entertaining to him, whatever~! Taking Miss Setsuna by the hand for a little handshake with care, his skin was velveteen rather than a traditional texture. The extra effort was taken to avoid injuring her with those ruby red claws, he released her hand and slowly turned his head toward the man who had lobster waiting for him at home.
[break][break]
Rolling his shoulders into a shrug as he leaned back slightly, "My oh my~! We better hurry so you can get back to your precious lobster~" Oh, hm, he seemed to like his suit? Could be snark, but he didn't really give a crap about the possibility of ill intent! "Oh, why thank you~! I could give you my tailor's card, if you'd like! I'm looking into making my own, but first THE HATS! BUT~! Enough about my hats, we have other things to discuss! Come, come, this waaaaay~!" Cackling a bit like he'd lost his marbles, he made his way down the hall and held the door open for the room that was infamous for presentations and le gasp, meetings!
[break][break]
Holding the door open for the pair, they would find a lovely round table in the middle and a pitcher of water along with some glasses. Oh boy, even some snacks like cupcakes and pretzels! Upon the walls were the visual tale of how this radio station went from being in some shack in the middle of nowhere all the way to the location they were in now. Though Finn wasn't in the first photo with two guys and a woman in good spirits, he had appearances in the next two photos. A young Finn was in the second where the shack got an update and then the third where he was closer to the present day and being a bit of a goober by sneaking the classic bunny ears on a pair of serious folks.
[break][break]
"Oh yes...and about your introduction..."Those strewn words slipped past his lips with a wide grin. Tilting his ear toward Hain's phone, the audio through the devices speaker sounded like static as his eyes flickered with a soft glow, those pupils lightly twitching. "Let's hear it anyway..." Those particular words were spoken not through his mouth, but the phone's lovely speaker and sounded fresh out of a horror movie. His eyes went back to normal and the red clad loon couldn't help but finish it with a little giggle sneaking out of him.

Pushed her. Nudged her. Was it forced? Truth be told, it wasn't. Hain was a nervous man, and rather than focus on the task on hand, his last few braincells couldn't even manage to allow him to walk straight. Would it later bite him in the ass the literally push his boss around? Maybe. For now, it was all part of their illusion. At least, that was how he hoped it would be seen as. "We should murder him." The voice rang, speaking only within the girl's mind, a suggestion to kill and discard. He knew too much, but he too, had suffered the same. Killing him, was to kill her own. Kasey, did not strike down her own family. Kasey stuck behind him, only to reach out to his back, from her fingernail, the bone that replaced the fibers would extend, until spikes came out. The spikes bending as they would reach a needle pointed tip, digging into the fabric with barbed ends as it would lift off her finger. A small bone spider, one that held an extension of the spirit within her. A spider would crawl up the man's back quickly, only to burrow between the collar of his shirt, and his coat. A feeling he was far too used to by now, and one that meant he needed to step his game up. And fast. Kasey made a mental note of the man's hands, the claws and the extra care. If only he had known the great beast that lay asleep, or at least occupied. The dig at Hain was comforting in a weird strange way. Almost like he bought it. "What? No. I want a hat now, I do want that contact.""No we fucking don't." the voice whispered to the man, in an all too familiar tone. As they made their way into the room, Kasey would be the first to sit, crossing her legs as she reached into her coat to take out a small notebook and pen. Hain himself, would make his way to the treats before helping himself and stuffing his face with muffins. He'd hear the voice from his phone and simply tuck it away. As he would juggle a few plates and make his way to sit near Kasey, with a safe space of an empty chair between them. "Iamth Hae-" He would swallow his food before continuning. A hand pressed onto his chest, as if to make it clear he was talking about himself. "Hain Musei. Chairman, and current CEO of the Ketsujo Corporation. Accompanying me is Kasey, Setsuna." The same half pause in the middle of her name. Or rather, a half pause between saying the both of their names. "My personal driver, assistant, secretary and-" He spun his hand around, his finger going on in circles. "Lots of hats. You get the deal."He would motion for her to speak, before filling his mouth again. "Well, we could make this short. We could just slide you an offer, but there's no fun in that." the pen clicked in her hands. "Why don't you list everything you could ever want, within reason that you believe we can provide you, and we'll match, and try to exceed that. Then we can talk about what you can do, to offer us for our new... hopefully, mutually beneficial relationship.
Truth is, we can pay for advertisement to paint an entire building with our name on it if we wanted to. But paying someone to say they believe in our vision, and having people believe in it, aren't the same thing. So, what would you like from us, and what can you offer us?"She was taking charge. But it wasn't like she was controlling the man before they even got out of the car. ~ Word Count: 634 ~ |

[nospaces] [attr="class","finn1"] [attr="class","finnimg"] [attr="class","finnbox"] [attr="class","finntag"]it's show time! [attr="class","finntext"]
Casually ducking through the door frame to follow suit after the pair, avoiding his lil' horns from adding more scratches upon the door frame. Eventually, they'd garner the proper funds to do some renovations and make it feel like a home away from home, all in due time! Just like his dream of getting a quaint little store up n' running at some point or another. At least this was a good enough distraction and he was able to entertain quite a few folks! The man had plans to pick up momentum here and there, it was just a matter of getting all the right cards in his hand...
[break][break]
...that's when he could manage to make the stars align for himself! Patience is key, plan where all the pieces go and place them on the board and wait for the universe to make its next move. Spinning his chair of choice before taking a seat, he rest his gaze upon a pair that right now...they held key cards he needed to make some near future plans into a reality. Ah, but thus far, it seemed as though this delightful C.E.O was into hats as well! Good news for him when he finally managed to get that rolling n' going, he'd need at the very least a handful of volunteers to make sure he covered his bases.
[break][break]
Certainly a plus in his favor and he fussed through his pocket to procure the business card of his tailor who refused to share his trade secrets with the Deer Hatter. What a pity, the fellow was talented and Finn respected that...so he'd have to seek out other means of learning such a trade. This Hain Musei fellow seemed to really like hats, much like himself, perhaps that meant he could work his way into getting an investment for stepping stones to his business as well? Shifting those rose tinted orbs surrounded by bloody red sclera toward Miss Setsuna with a smile, it seemed as though she was the one he'd be negotiating with....
[break][break]
Curiouser and curiouser....
[break][break]
Sliding the card over to mister C.E.O Hain, he mapped it out in his mindscape that one doesn't shoot too high...being greedy wouldn't get him anywhere. Aiming to earn higher tiers of rewards would probably work out for the better...it'd be far too boring to just have everything handed over with ease. "Oh ho~! By jove, that's a first if I've ever heard one! Why I'm not asking for much in your large pool of wealth and I believe you'll find we can help one another with ease..." Interlacing his fingers together, his grin held nothing but warmth toward the pair, as did his tone...
[break][break]
....almost like he was talking to a pair of friends he'd held in high respect rather than a pair of money bags to take from.
[break][break]
"First and foremost, I've been struck with the inspiration of a committed student from the infamous U.A, one whom has been actively going out in the community to make a difference. Through his actions, he's showing the people that they can look forward to heroes who are there at the same level as their very own. Your company, if my research serves me right, has been aiding the community with their products and finances. Others have as well, which is all fine and dandy...but what if I told you that Ketsujo Corp could improve their image? Imagine with me if you will, Mister Musei and Miss Setsuna, moments where your company is being so kind as to lend me their aid, providing me the support I need to reach out to the community in times of turmoil...letting the people know through my actions that Ketsujo Corp truly cares about the well being of our beloved citizens. Why, I would treat your company like a reliable ol' friend I could count on with ease~!"
[break][break]
Tapping the tip of his claw against his knuckle, he lightly tilted his head, cooing out the next set of words, "Perhaps even that they make me feel as though I'm a cherished family member, rather than some petty statistic~" Perking up his posture, he brought his hands up to his cheeks with a bemused grin, "Why~! The characters of my radio dramas could be using Ketsujo Corp products and facilities in times of need without it seeming like frustrating product placement! Much like one has a preferred brand since its proven to be better, like the fries at McDolans being more miss than hit compared to Wednesday's~!"
[break][break]
Dropping his hands down to the table, he clasped his hands together and arched a brow with a smirk, "What do you think~? I could even keep you two in mind when I plan on making my own hats for sale one day, still a work in progress, of course...but the bigger picture here is that I help the community love your company even more~" Though he had a confident air about himself, he wasn't completely sure how they'd take it all in...

"Thought that was kind of the point?" Hain chimed in, even though he was focused on his other activity. He would wait before eating another cookie. "We already have more money than we can spend on development, why not ask for the most?" he'd shrug, before glancing at Kasey and trying to fit a whole muffin in his mouth. Kasey held her tongue, closing her eyes and trying to keep her hand from slamming into her own forehead out of desperation. There was a bit of truth in what he said. There was no reason they should settle on a comfortable number, when they could easily offer the maximum they could, without a single harm done. Besides, most of it was a business expense, and with it, a write-off. "Did he call me a woman?" The thoughts rang in, but he would dismiss them as he sat waiting, simply acting as the guide he was intended to be. Hain would sit there, silent, except for his loud chewing, though his mouth closed. He would raise a brow before looking over at Kasey to tell her to speak, which was less of a command of her false boss, but more of a Yeah, maybe this idea wasn't so stupid after all. He scribbled a few things on her notepad, the first being "reliable" and the second being "UA Student." There was someone he had an eye on, and she could guess who. With her own personal interactions, she assumed it was Jaz, Yumi, or any other class rep. If she was being honest, she really didn't have a clue who the man was, or what he did. Hain was the one that randomly brought it up, and with it, the few things he tuned into. Kasey would set her notebook back into her coat, as well as her pen, before leaning forward, and crossing her legs. "The Ketsujo Corporation does far more than just medicine and healthcare. It was founded upon finances and managing the public's lifestyles in a way that benefits society as a whole. That being said, Sato had taken a liking to helping the public not just keep their bodies in shape with medication, but with their diets. We also have a good hold on produce, as well as clothing.
We pride ourselves on the finest products we can provide at a very reasonable and affordable amount, as well as free care to those with quirks, with the agreement their check ins will be used for other patients to improve all of us." Her hands opened, a gesture of open arms over all of Japan's people, or perhaps the entire world. "We are more than a service, we are an ideal. It seems, however, that you share our mindset, and with that," she looked over at Hain with an extended hand, reaching for something as her palm faced the ceiling. He would stare at her hand, only to slowly place half a muffin in it. Kasey would glare back, only for him to finally understand. Taking the muffin back, he would hastily reach into his own vest to retrieve a checkbook. He would open it up to sign a check, and passed over the slip of paper, and tucked the book back into his best. Kasey would take the check and leave it in front of her, reaching into her coat to get her pen, only to hover it over the slip of paper. "Now, how much would you need to both hold our shared ideals as high as you can, and produce the funny hats? Is a million yen fine for now?" and she would begin to write... ~ Word Count: 612 ~ |

[nospaces] [attr="class","finn1"] [attr="class","finnimg"] [attr="class","finnbox"] [attr="class","finntag"]it's show time! [attr="class","finntext"]
Little ear twitches took place per loud chew from the lovely Hain, yet it didn't bother him much at all! After all, he'd been enticed by the woman's words. What an enlightening experience this had been thus far! Though he did some basic research, such a scope are far more narrow than he initially thought...which was a delightfully welcomed surprise. Most would feel foolish and stupid, but he preferred life to have twists and turns rather than being a predictable corridor. Now, Ketsujo Corp was proving to have the capabilities to contribute much more than he planned. They would absolutely be a fitting piece to the puzzle and it sounded as though from what the assistant was saying, he had a part to play for them as well.
[break][break]
Perfect, this partnership was just the thing Finn needed to keep things moving forward in oh so many ways~! Hmmm, at the surface the offer sounded rather generous, which it very well was, but Mister Halloran had mulled over some details in his mind and getting that money to cover various expenses was all well and good. Did that come with getting discounts on their products? Normally, it would come hand in hand to get that rolling in as well, but he wasn't one to jump the gun of assumptions. Bringing his hand up to his chin with a gentle smile, he let out a soft chuckle under his breath.
[break][break]
Now, it didn't have a demeaning air about it by any means, oh no no...more like that much money sure could come in handy, yes, this sounds great! "My my, if I had to evaluate your abilities at negotiating a good deal, I'd give you the highest rating possible~! The amount is incredibly generous, even taking my own personal little soon to be side business into play, I like it~" Brightening up his smile, he moved his hand away from his chin to hold his finger up to waggle it for a moment. "There's only a couple more things I'd like to add, which I hope you'll find to be a reasonable request~"
[break][break]
Now, he'd been holding up two fingers as he continued on to reveal his little request, "Two things, in conjunction with the generous amount you're offering, I'd like to ensure discounts of your products for myself and those who work here at the studio with me. You two would choose the rates for said discounts, what you both feel is fair of course~! Last, but certainly not least, that we have an open line of communication with one another so I can not only learn more more about the products and services, but reach out for assistance with projects as well~! Such as those hats I spoke of not too long ago, I feel as though your input would be invaluable with all of the experience and wisdom you two have picked up~! Besides, I'll need models with various tastes to expand styles and shapes, the market as it is right now makes it so difficult for many of us with mutation quirks to find nice hats~." Lowering his hand back to the table, he hoped that there weren't any lines being crossed with his requests!
[break][break]
As a matter of fact, the way he orchestrated those words made it sound as though he was aiming to build a solid relationship with them, that if they could at the very least agree to be a contact of his he could reach out to that in turn, they would have that returned without question. With the way he held himself, he truly hoped that his sincerity would reach them. Though he was still doing his best to pave the path of his future...this man was ambitious and would continue to work toward making those dreams of his a reality.

Those with mortal needs, mortal wants were easy to deal with. Human were simple creatures. They reached and grabbed at things in the dark and turned away from things that hurt. Some were foolish, and reached out to painful things no matter how much they pained. Human curiosity was a deadly thing. A simple human put in a position of power. His body weakened to the point where he was no longer standing beside gods with a similar power. No, he had fallen from grace. The closest he could be was pretending he was still something he wasn't. He might have been above the heavens at one point, but it was all memories now. He was a puppet. A puppet, who was allowed to eat food all at the cost of sitting into a bunch of boring meetings and playing pretend. Not a bad fall from grace. The Ketsujo Corporation had always been known for investing into businesses and ideas. It was in the failed executions of plans that they had profited off. The more these pitiful humans reached out to ideas and fell short, the more Ketsujo would hold in plans to break even. From small clinic services to the needy, to small tailoring shops who could barely make ends meet. When you're a multi-million dollar company, you're going to try to make every penny you can make. Or in this case, a yen. With dozens upon dozens of failing shops, it was only smart to start using one to benefit the other. Whatever retained profit, and guaranteed sales. Their prices were always the lowest, and quality not the best, but good enough. But when you got what you needed at half the price, for just about the same quality, who cared? The money you saved, could be used for other things. Things that didn't need to be so expensive, namely clothing and simple things, were cheap. People could buy the luxury items they wanted. Food costs down, prices produced were less. Society was winning. And now, to the collection would be a hat brand. Would it profit? Who knows. That was the gamble. And one, they could afford to lose. What was the risk in investing? "After we can agree on terms, and once a contract is signed, you, and all of your staff, and all of your staff's family," a wave of the hand, "From their grandchildren up to their grandparents, will be fully covered in our healthcare plans. This would not include advance care for special quirks, but like everyone else, if you allow us to benefit and extend out knowledge with a few small tests, then that fee will be waived as well." She would look over at Hain, the stupid idea of hats being his own. He'd wave for her to continue, to speak on his behalf as he tried to chew the muffin he has stuffed in his mouth. She would sigh before going on. "We can provide materials for your other business venture at distributor pricing, which is around sixty percent lower than market pricing. For the raw materials at least. As for models, I'm sure with the promise of a few prototypes, Hain, and another selection of people will be happy to model for you."The man's eyes would light up, a smile as crumbs hung on the sides of his mouth, The large wad of food being swallowed as he would quietly, "Thanks Kas." would escape his lips. "As for your groceries, we can't offer you a discount on our already ridiculously low prices. We can, however, if you have an account at our banks, sign you up with a partnered Credit Card with cash back so I guess that's sorta the same thing?"Banks. It was always about money with them. ~ Word Count: 632 ~ |

[nospaces] [attr="class","finn1"] [attr="class","finnimg"] [attr="class","finnbox"] [attr="class","finntag"]it's show time! [attr="class","finntext"]
WELL, that was a far more generous offer than he actually anticipated! Here he had his base expectations low since, despite being such a successful and large company, they were still a business at the end of the day. That's right, he'd had a strong enough grasp on companies, even successful ones, needing to make sure they didn't stretch themselves thin in funds. Seeing as how much he was finding himself getting involved with aiding in the finances these days, he helped keep things in the right direction. Making sure that they were making the right investments and taking care of all the employees, himself included. The owner even joked about handing the entire station over to him one day, but Mister Halloran didn't take it to heart since this place was like a beloved child to the owner.
[break][break]
One doesn't simply give their child up, but he'd be lying to himself right then and there if he made a claim of not seeing this radio station as something he cherished dearly. This place was a big part of his life, that was putting it lightly! So a partnership with these two before him, it seemed to make more and more sense. The girl's offer was astoundingly reasonable, one that he'd have to be an absolute moron to deny. Undoubtedly he could improve the quality of life for his radio family too. Though with a partnership like this, he wouldn't need to be persistent about roping in as many sponsors as possible to keep the place afloat...he could actually relax. What a strange thought that was....
[break][break]
Of course, he could never truly bring himself to relax, it was always about keeping busy and making the most of every moment he had to breathe. So if he found himself taking time off, he could work on making another dream of his come true with less stress. Resting his elbows upon the table, lacing his fingers together before resting his chin upon those rough, hoof textured knuckles, a delighted grin curled across his lips at Hain's eagerness to participate as a model in the near future. "My, that's a far more generous offer than I expected~!" Letting out a lighthearted laugh, he closed his eyes for a moment before partially reopening them the rest his gaze upon them, tilting his head with a subtle twitch of his fluffy ears, "Why...in all my years of making deals for sponsorships, I've never been this excited for a contract~!"
[break][break]
Finn couldn't help but chuckle and shift his gaze toward Hain and slightly arch a brow for a moment, "Please, do be sure to send me styles that strike your fancy, that goes for the other models you'll be bringing along~! I'd like to make hats you and your people will enjoy wearing~" Now cupping his chin in one hand, he lifted his free hand and gently waggled his finger, "The hats I make for my models will be exclusive, one of a kind designs that I won't be replicating once sales pick up as a thank you gift~" His tone harbored an air of not only sincerity, but gratitude.
[break][break]
The fact that he'd been fortunate enough to be welcomed to the Ketsujo Corporation family wasn't lost on him, there were many individuals who were far more popular and influential than himself. At least he was ambitious enough to keep his dreams from dying, that's for sure!

In any other sense, the agreements met would be punctuated with a contract not long after. In most cases, they would have arrived with a standard contract already, but what was the point writing something not everyone would agree with? No sense in doing something twice, when you can do it just once. The Ketsujo Corp paid their people well, but most of all, they always had enough in reserves. To pay one company a few million seemed always more beneficial than a million others paid only a few thousands. They became people enamored with the brand, and with it spoke from their own excitement, than what they were paid to say. It always made for better work. This time, it seemed almost perfect. Any relationship that benefited both sides, even slightly at nearly absolutely no cost would be foolish to turn down. Even at the idea one deserved better, to turn down something with nothing to lose was just stupid. A large corporation tossing pennies at a small company that had everything to gain, and give nothing more than prideful advertisement. But it wasn't just the advertisement or the hats, it was about having that contact, if they ever really needed to broadcast something, he was now their man. That fact alone must have crossed his mind by now. And that was what had gotten Kasey's interest. Kasey would nod towards Hain as he stuffed his mouth, and would relax a bit. It seemed their work was done, and now the heavy lifting was in the past. Now just came to wording and proper arrangements. "Well, time is money. And we'd hate to waste time. After all, we're all about making the best you." You. Them. Us. We. If one power grew, so did the rest. They would grow together, and so would their utopia. A world Sato dreampt of, but could never achieve. Hain would finish his dinner as he would stand and clean his face with a smile. He'd walk around passing Kasey to offer a handshake. "Well, I thoroughly look forward to our future business partner. And well, the nice hat I'll get." A smile as he would stand aside, for Kasey to do the same to seal the deal, so to speak. "Well, I suppose I'll arrange for the contract to be written as per our verbal agreements. Should be completed within the week." She'd speak with a smile, patting Hain's back as the spider would crawl out of his collar and into her sleeve as discretely as possible. "And I'll see to it that the models have various styles and fashions to accompany you, Master Hain." A strange mannerism they would never let go of. They would rarely address each other by their family name, but first name. One reason may have been the fact that one of them lacked it, or maybe it was just how close they had become. "Nice nice. Now, let's go get that lobster." he would say quite gleefully. ~ Word Count: 500 ~ |

"But of course~" Lowering his head to a bow toward the Ketsujo Corp duo, he knew that they had more fish to fry, well more like crustaceans to be exact since Hain had lobster awaiting his return! Lifting his head as he slid out of his chair to stand at his full height, feeling the curtains begin to close on this spectacular performance. Gladly reaching out to shake the C.E.O's hand one last time to bring this meeting to a close. Finn found himself brightening up at Hain's words, expressing that the feeling was mutual of their future ahead.
[break][break]
Without a doubt, he certainly believed it could go without saying that he fully anticipated them to be in touch if they needed anything of him. New product? He'd get the word out. Something they couldn't say without making waves for themselves? He'd carefully weave the words with artistry...leaving the intent in tact. After all, they were part of his cherished family now~
[break][break]
"Please, in the mean time...feel free to contact me if there's anything else you need. Even if it's just for the sake of having someone there to listen~" Sincerely letting those words pass his lips as he strode alongside them, showing them out like a proper host who had welcomed them into his very own home. As though they had a wonderful time of bonding and well, it wasn't as though that was far from the truth at all. Certainly it was business at the end of the day when all was said and done, but with the way he was seeing it, they all believed it was much more than that to some extent or another.
[break][break]
"...or to let me know how wonderful the lobster is~!" With a bemused chuckle, honestly? With how excited Hain sounded about the lobster, he'd almost expect an amusing tale of sorts rather than some boring it was good I guess, so he couldn't help but toss in that lighthearted bit of humor~!

Fried lobster. Now that was a thought. Maybe another time. They both would rise, Hain approaching to shake the man's hand in a sort of seal for their deal. The paper's weren't signed yet, but the details would be just as discussed. They weren't a company to hide anything in fine printing. Anything they needed, was put in the same paragraph as needed. They weren't there to bail out a company, or lend a loan. There was no reason to try to seize assets if they failed. Simply put, to them, this was just a donation that had benefits. The forms would reflect that. All of it, a massive business expense. They would all be united under the same branch. Soon, the Ketsujo family dream to fill a household was no longer physical, but accompanied by audio as well as entertainment on a screen. A brand that wasn't trying to brainwash people, but breed a loyalty to a company that actually cared about their patients, or clients, rather. It wouldn't be long until it was Ketsujo that held more power over the people than the government, and soon, they would replace them. That, is the ideal better Japan."Maybe a nice dinner, chat up something less dreary than paper work." Hain would say with a shake and a laugh. Kasey would offer a soft bow. "After all, this is a bit more than a partnership. Which I guess really is more than a sponsorship. Which is more than a-""Thank you for having us." she would say, cutting the end of his endless thoughts. Now was their cue to go home and deal with other matters. The promise of a good meal for playing boss for the day, while the actual one in change actually did things beyond public meetings. All was an illusion after all. ~ Word Count: 306 ~ |

"That would be such a treat, I'd like that, Mister Musei...until then, it's been my pleasure~" Those words were sincere as could be since after all, that didn't sound half bad! Would have been nice to figure out what sort of hats they were interested in for themselves and even more about them. Hain almost went on a tangent of sorts and that was actually rather endearing, but his secretary was clearly there to keep him on track. When the time for them to see one another came about, he would absolutely look forward to it!
[break][break]
On his end, the list of things he needed to do in an effort to properly prepare himself for their next encounter was piling up. Perhaps even take some time off to really practice and work on actually being capable of making a proper hat. They'd given him the tools to get a move on with that, after all. Finn would be able to garner the necessary resources and make sure to make every single yen count. As long as his failures taught him something...getting him closer to the goal, it would still be an investment.
[break][break]
Then...at least he could finally get some comfortable hats to quirkers who have been left out of the market for years on end. The easiest way to get comfortable head ware was none other than hiring a tailor....but with the way Ketsujo Corp aimed to have the best deals? It was going to become a realistic goal to make these hats at a reasonable cost for the masses tied in to their dream of focusing on the people, their well-being and worth for who they are. This was almost too perfect, but he hadn't a reason to be on edge or anything of the sort...not yet anyway. To be frank, he hoped they would never give him doubts...but now wasn't the time to focus on such what-ifs.
