Marceline was trying wherever she could to make herself a 'presence' in Tokyo since moving her operations here a year or so ago. She'd spent a lot of time funnelling all her old profits into establishing the european themed cafe business that would be her main 'legal front' of the illicit wealings and dealings she made over her time here, and so now she was spending her time spreading her wings a bit, both legally, and illegally. On one front it was easy to find people looking for fake copies of french art who'd happily pay for such a high end replication, and on the more legal front... well. That was surprisingly the more difficult place to go. Marcie wanted to get her hands in whatever she could. Not only did it help launder her funds, but more generally, it was just... interesting. She liked the image of being that woman who seemed to make inordinate amounts of money off of such eccentric and odd business'. She'd already invested in a... well, love hotel, in the red light district, which earned her a few odd looks at fancy gatherings. It was hard for the old fuddy duddies of the business world to stand by and observ a woman competing with them who had such a shady, yet entirely legal investment afterall.~ Since she'd gotten to Tokyo, she had of course had to work on something other than just her dual sided business however. Her Japanese. She'd made sure to have the basics down before she came over, but she had a bit of a learning curve over the past year. One thing that helped her with this was simple exposure. Not turning the french subtltles on on the TV and making sure she learned the hard way. One such method she chose to learn was by listening to the radio through her laptop when doing paperwork. Japanese songs a good start to catching words not pronounced or spoken as they would be in a classroom setting... but through this habit, she picked up on a fun little hobby. Listening to the Radio show of a certain Finn Halloran. At first his uniquely dramatic and eccentric manners of speech helped her learn how the japanese language was used in a practical setting the hard way, but eventually... damn. He just had a fun show to listen to, and as someone who always had her eyes busy doing something else a Radio show was a great form of entertainment to latch onto, and today, she was looking at an opportunity to meet Finn himself!~ On the chance she might be able to ring in a bit more business, or even just search out new investment opportunities, Marcie was looking into avenues of advertisement outside simple online advertisements. A few calls later... and she had a meeting with Finn himself to discuss a potential commerical investment in his show.~ The day of the meeting, she dressed up a little less than fomrally, wearing a white sleeveless blouse, white decorative cuffs, and a few highlighting points of patterned red, like a small tie, a pleated skirt, and a hairband. Yeah, it was a formal meeting, but she imagined a man like Finn might be as eccentric as he sounded. And besides... she was always the one who had the 'money' in an equation.~ She got the right to dress how she liked given she held all the cards...~ Arriving at the Tokyo central radio building, a few brief queries for directions later had her arriving at the offices that ran Finn's show. Just a few desks situated to running his section of the radio channel's website and a rather eager looking young intern manning the front desk, guiding him to the recording booth. "As I'm sure your aware mr Finn is just finishing up his morning show right now and then we'll be switching over to music for a few hours while he refreshes his voice. I assume you're-" Marceline held up a hand and smiled warmly. "Don't you worry at all, I'm more than happy to wait. Might I be able to watch in though? I assume a professional like hime won't be put off by some prying eyes.~" "Oh not at all! He's extremely good at staying on task. Most I've ever seen him do is start to incorporate his 'audience' into the show. Inspiration and all.~" The intern clearly seemed to be happy working in this department of the building, and in turn Marceline felt even better about her choice of trying to invest in some wahy through Finn. He must have been a pleasant fellow to have such a bright member of staff singing his praises. "Ooooh so if he suddenly mentions a green haired young woman?~" "Yes yes, I wouldn't count on it but he does well drawing inspiration where he can when he needs to ad lib a bit." Marcie giggled behind her hand and shook her head, finally coming to the sound room, watching a technicican faintly adjust the dials as needed, but mostly observing the man on the other side of the glass. She'd done her research, she knew what he looked like, but seeing that vibrant red and black hair, those animal features and just... generally his overall image... Marceline was in love.~ Platonically, of course. She loved to see such outrageous and bold individuals like the man speaking into a microphone here. His image alone just... intrigued her, and she was very interested to see what he might be like once the show was done.

[nospaces] [attr="class","finn1"] [attr="class","finnimg1"] [attr="class","finnbox"] [attr="class","finntag"] it's show time! [attr="class","finntext"]
The day felt as though it'd just begun to the man who lived life to the fullest in every moment he continued his merriment of existence. With hard work, he'd earned a position in life that brought him happiness and gave him a reason to awaken from the dreams of a twisted Wonderland he'd seen night after night. A delightful grin remained across his lips as he held up what appeared to be a binder with a solid white paper, eyes lit to indicate his quirk was on the air while his pupils twitched slightly as his gaze fixated upon the blank paper. To think that when he was but a child, that he was worried his future would be nothing more than a blank void, yet here he was! Aaaah, his greedy mother would be so proud, had she still been alive to this very day...
[break][break]
"Why! This isn't pasta, it's pastrami chopped to look like pasta! Who'd order a plate of pastrami trying hard to be something it isn't?! I demand to speak to your manager!" The voice he'd use was that of a woman who sounded as though she had her nose up in the air and went by Karen. With an eerie level of silence as he stood, most outsiders were baffled by how such a feat was accomplished. Of course it must have had something to do with his quirk, right?
[break][break]
Most assumed it was the capability of altering his voice on a whim and that was that. Oh but it was so much more, and those with a keen eye could pick up on more pieces regard that curious quirk he'd endearingly called It's show time! with a subtle twitch of his ear. Directing it toward where he had his intern stationed, the sound of his rustling in the recording room played from the speaker of the young lady's cellphone. Another twitch of his opposite ear directed toward the desk near him where he placed that delicious cup of tea where his own cellular device in a red deer case. The device's speaker was prompted to produce the sound of plates and silverware in a loud auditory dance of panic against what sounded like a wooden table covered in cloth.
[break][break]
With how organic the sounds were, it truly brought the little segment to life as he let out sharp gasp in the tone of which sounded like a young lady. At the corner of his glowing red orbs, he noticed the woman with long locks of a lime hue and allowed his grin to widen ever so slightly.
[break][break]
Oh ho~! A live audience, how curious, this was certainly a kick of inspiration in how the waitress was going to handle the diabolical final boss of customer service!
[break][break]
Perhaps this is the woman who worked hard to arrange a meeting with him by pulling who knows how many strings? That was a person who knew how to get what they wanted out of life...excellent! Fully fixating his glowing gaze back to the paper, thrusting his hand forward with a look of determination as he spoke with a force of strength in the tone of a young woman, "You want to speak to the manager? Well the joke's on you..." Twisting the position of his hand so that the palm of his hand would face the ceiling, his fingers slowly formed into a fist whilst a chuckle that screamed check mate escaped him to be unleashed upon the radio waves.
[break][break]
Without missing a beat, he switched over to the Karen voice, "W-what's this...?! Why are you laughing, you failed me for the last time with this order and I'm reporting you to your manager!" Tilting his chin slightly up, it was back to the vocals of the strong, protagonist of this little story, "You foolish fool, I'm the C.E.O!" Narrowing his eyes slightly, he lifted his index finger lightly and that cued the audio technician to play the dramatic music he spoke over. Such a task was done in his normal voice, which had an undertone of what some have grown to call a radio accent.
[break][break]
The glow of his eyes subsided and as the dial looking pupils shifted back to their oval state looking more akin to the eyes of a feline. "Ahhh~! It appears the diabolical Karen has finally met her match! Who would have expected the C.E.O to be undercover as a timid waitress trying to make her way through college, hm? Well, I hope all of you enjoyed that plot twist as much as I did~! This is your Deer Hatter signing off for now...until next time..."
[break][break]
The illuminated ON AIR sign dimmed until it was off entirely. Finn couldn't help it as he hummed a chipper tune that felt as though it belonged in the roaring twenties! The man who chose to wear his usual suit to work wiggled his little fluffy red tail and gathered his fancy tea cup before setting down the binder before snatching up his phone case. This was the prime time his viewers on the opposite side of that glass would have the opportunity to see the googly eyes his deer case had. Those things always gave him a kick and managed to get a chuckle out of him on days where things felt a bit bleak.
[break][break]
Tucking it away into his pocket with the ears upon his head perked up, he made his way to the door and twirled on out with a dramatic flare, "AAAAAAAH~! Miss Labelle, it's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance! I do hope you enjoyed the show while you waited for the curtains to close on my performance..." Closing his eyes, he took a deep bow with one hand rested over his chest. Taking care to readjust his posture after a moment, poked his pinky out while holding the handle of his tea cup prior to taking a sip before reopening his vibrantly red optics to rest his gaze upon her considerably petite form.
[break][break]
In that moment of taking a little tea time, so to speak, he seemed surprisingly calm. Whether or not it was his mind trying to remind him that this was supposed to be a business meeting was uncertain, but he'd been quite eager to know whether or not she was a potential client who actually liked the show. The ones who didn't, well! Those were rather fun to throw for a loop~!

Marceline watched from behind the glass, offering nothing more than a finger twiddling little wave when it was clear the man had noticed her presence. She didn't want to be a distraction afterall and she'd rather actually listen to the show she'd sadly had to miss the first half of even to make this meeting. The set up was mildly lost on her of course but she caught on quick to the scenario, already assuming the woman's name to be Karen long before it was revealed as Finn wrapped up the show. What did come as some real surprise to Marceline however was the moment the man stood up, her eyes widening and backing off from the glass a step. She wasn't intimidated by any means, it just... threw her. She'd seen a picture or two of the man sure, but it never really prepares you for their height!
Still, she maintained her composure, adjusting the decorative red tie of her playful ensemble as Finn came out of the room and the on air sign dimmed behind him, letting him take up any drink he had and giving him his space, a warm giggle escaping her lips... albeit still a tint confused by what she was hearing as he spoke. Wow. He actually had that 'radio tint' huh? Then his voice was part of his quirk... she'd suspected that a lot of the voices he did were perhaps aided by computer based alterations in live time, but if his quirk affected his voice like this... my that was interesting.
"A pleasure to meet you too Mr Halloran.~" She began, deciding to at least offer some sense of formality for what was effectively a business meeting between the two of them. She offered her hand across for him to shake, her other one holding the latch of a satchel crossing her torso. "I hope you don't mind my er..." She gestured over herself once they shook hands. "State of attire, buuuut you never really came off like someone who'd want to be overly formal and... seeing you in the flesh hardly dissapoints.~ In fact I must say I'm more impressed than ever. To think you do all those voices without a technical aid. I imagine it and your... unique accent, are part of your quirk?" She asked, but pressed her fingers to her lips as she thought- "Oh. Sorry. I hope thats not a rude line of questioning. I wouldn't want to offend..."

[nospaces] [attr="class","finn1"] [attr="class","finnimg2"] [attr="class","finnbox"] [attr="class","finntag"]it's show time! [attr="class","finntext"]
Keeping his posture upright after his little introductory bow of sorts with a sharp grin of sorts as a low chuckle riddled about in amusement rumbled in his chest. Ah, it was always quite lovely to encounter a respectable person of sorts, even if it was a mere business transaction according to the messages he'd reviewed the other day. Narrowing his eyes slightly as his gaze rested upon her outstretched hand. It was hard to tell if the woman was a bit nervous with the way she fiddled about with her decorative tie. Most folks here had a tendency to avoid shaking his hand, probably out of fear that his claws might slash across their flesh.
[break][break]
Some were concerned based on his appearance alone, but that didn't seem to be the case with Miss Labelle over here who spared him a little finger wiggle of a wave earlier during his show. So either this was a very bold move on her part, or she was genuinely finding pleasure in this face-to-face encounter of theirs! Either way, he took such care in grasping onto her hand for a gentle, yet firm handshake. Angling his hand as to avoid his claw-like nails from bringing her harm. Those with a normal appearance had been more fragile than himself, thus, it was important that he handled his peers with care when making physical contact.
[break][break]
Had the young woman been taking note of the texture of his skin, it was more like soft, velveteen fur rather than the average skin whereas if any of her fingertips reached his knuckles, they felt a little rough like hooves. The ears upon his head lightly twitched as he listened to her continue to speak as the handshake concluded.
[break][break]
Oh ho, she was concerned he was minding her lovely choice of attire and praised his appearance? Curiouser and curiouser was this woman before him...it wasn't exactly what he'd call commonplace for such flattery directed toward him. Taking yet another sip of tea, he couldn't shake that grin he'd practically made part of his image. What a sharp lass she'd been, sorting out the main bit of his very own quirk! He quietly rest the now empty tea cup upon the nearby table and placed his hands behind his back and lightly tilted his head to the side.
[break][break]
"Sharp as a tack, you are, Miss Labelle~! Don't you fret, my dear...your curiosity over my quirk is quite endearing if I do say so myself! And your attire? Hah! Hardly a concern~! Why, I've always found simple suits without a shred of personal touches to be rather boring. For you see, it takes a creative mind to think out of the box and sport a fashion they're most comfortable with, regardless of what their peers may say." The grin across his lips had a more playful air about it as he spoke with the utmost enthusiasm, "Hah~! I could go on about fashion choices, big or small~! In fact, I have rambled about the topic several times in the past! Good times, good times~!"
[break][break]
Appreciating his own sense of humor, he couldn't help but take a moment to laugh and dismissively wave his hand as though to quietly say, moving on. "Anyway~! Before I get carried away, my unique accent did make itself an integral part of the way I speak when I was a child...and I like it, love it, even! Ended up really fitting me, if I do say so myself...but enough about me, you must be a busy entrepreneur with schedules to keep! Do tell me about what brings you here to my little Wonderland~?" Sure, the curiosity coating his every word toward the end were sincere, even if he knew damn well why she went out of her way to discuss things in person. Still, with how so many people opted to stick with communicating via text, letters and voice calls, it was a pleasant surprise to have a slice of delight in the form of company all the same! Ah, but he couldn't deny that it was nice to get the full package deal of potential investors of any sort to express themselves in person.
[break][break]
The way they carried themselves along with their tone...he knew better than anyone how it wasn't impossible to hide ones true intentions with the shift of their tone. A dash of acting could certainly cloak one's true intentions, but not everyone was capable of being someone they weren't at the drop of a hat. So face to face interactions, albeit hit and miss, gave him a higher chance at sorting out one's intentions and how to gauge them.

Ya know they sometimes say you should never meet your heroes, or celebrities, cause they can never live up to your expectations, but while Marceline’s expectations weren’t necessarily ‘high’ so to speak the man before her was meeting every last one of them. Flamboyant, eccentric, a boundful energy to him. Personally Marceline, while playful, was more calm and cheeky about it. More in control than wanting to flash and strut her stuff. She might wear a flamboyant outfit, but she would typically always hold her calm, cool exterior while doing so, it was just her personality at the end of the day to do so. Finn meanwhile exuded the same energy his voice held on his radio shows even in person, and Marcie was all the happier to be developing some form of connection with him.~
“Oh please. Business or not don’t let me stop you short. I mean as a fan I think I can officially say ‘I could listen to you talk all day’.~” She giggled with that teasing little comment on their situation, but mostly just in jest, gesturing a flippant motion with her hand as she dismissed the fashion. “Buuut perhaps it is best we push it back to later. Though if we do develop a more… long term business relationship, I certainly wouldn’t mind your company over a cup of coffee to go over the finer points of your fashion sense.~”
Learning more about his quirk was nice in turn. Marcie wasn’t a big time criminal who liked to collect a small carnival of smashing and bashing quirkers, but she did like too see the intricacies of other quirks, how they worked, how they formed… if she could somehow use them to her benefit, all the better~. In this case though it was of course sooooolely interest. The brief idea of how to use his voice altering abilities to fool someone in a con fading quickly as she tried to stay in the moment and focus on business at hand. “Well I certainly love it too if it means anything, but you’re right, we should get down to business. Do you have a meeting room of some sort we can use? I’d rather not fill the sound engineer’s space or just little in a hall or something while we discuss potential business.~”
Assuming Finn began to guide her somewhere, Marcie would wait till the room was in view before making a move on starting the discussions. “So, first and foremost I want it to be clear I in no way want to take away your creative control. If the way my proposals come out don’t fit into your shows, you have full right to veto any decision I try to make. I definitely don’t want to remove that unique flair your show has.~”
She was quite genuine in her appreciation for his show, and honestly Marcie always felt this was the best way to do business. She had sooooo many false expenses to make up to launder the money from her illicit dealings that it was best to keep the people she worked with in good spirits. The happier and more content they were with an arrangement they less reason they had to question the nature of it.

[nospaces] [attr="class","finn1"] [attr="class","finnimg2"] [attr="class","finnbox"] [attr="class","finntag"]it's show time! [attr="class","finntext"]
A fan? Why he hadn't met many of those in quite some time! What a treat! Certainly his radio show wasn't doing poorly, but even he knew it could be doing better and wasn't the sort to deny it. Everything and everyone always has room to improve, this was an undeniable fact in his book! As a matter of fact, it was something he personally strives for in every moment of opportunity, make every moment better and it'll count toward a glorious future.
[break][break] Either way, Miss Labelle over here had a way with her words, delighting the Deer Hatter of the radio waves with what he perceived as honest flattery. Though he wasn't the sort with an ego, he appreciated and valued sincerity that was normally found in compliments. Besides, a long term business relationship with someone who actually enjoyed conversing with him sounded like a lovely change of pace. Like-minded individuals were pretty challenging to find. Finn believed himself to be fortunate that most of his co-workers got along with him, the guy had seen and heard the horrors of how south things could go when folks had it out for someone.
[break][break]
At least the universe had been kind enough to make the stars align more often than not and this was one of those days where it certainly felt like a star crossed encounter! With a light flick of his ears as they perked up a bit more, he figured that this was absolutely not the place to have a meeting and they could head over to the proper area for such matters! "All of your offers are quite lovely, my dear Miss Labelle, but we'll simply have to see what the future holds!" Pivoting on his heel, his words were gleeful as could be and his tail wiggled, "Please, follow me~!" Had this place not been so narrow, he'd have offered an arm like a gentleman, but alas, narrow hallways had been troublesome for such pleasantries.
[break][break]
Instead, he lifted his hand and lightly fanned it forward before heading off as her guide to the place they designated as a meeting room, listening intently as he opened the door for her. "Oh ho~! I don't doubt you for a second, my dear! After all, you're a fan of my work, are you not? Why, I may be jumping the gun here, but I believe your proposals seem like they'll be a grand opportunity thus far! So please, take a seat and tell me all about these proposals of yours~" Though he still harbored a great deal of enthusiasm in his tone, there was an air to it that held genuine intrigued.
[break][break]
The woman's words certainly gave him a good ol' vote of confidence in working with her since she came off as a reasonable individual rather than rigid and boring. Flexibility was always an important little trait since it made it much easier to think out of the box. The tall gentleman with a love for shades of crimson had to crouch slightly as he entered the room, but he made sure to offer her a seat before taking his own. At the top of the door frame were a few painted over scrapes, a coverup of his horns making their own impression on the building. As for the inside of the room, it had a round table in the center with some snacks, bottles of water and about five chairs around it.
[break][break]
There was a little screen upon the wall opposite of a counter where a projector reside, sometimes it was for presentations...others to enjoy movies and shows as a group. Upon the other walls, there were a few photos adorning the place that seemed to tell a tale of humble beginnings. An old shack with a gentleman wearing a pair of thick lens glasses and doing two thumbs up next to another gentleman and a young woman who appeared to share his enthusiasm. Beside that was a slightly larger group of people with a younger Finn Halloway among them, still showing that budding sense of flare in who he was today. In that photo, it appeared that the old shack had some updates, an extension to accommodate the growth of their little worn down studio.
[break][break]
The final photo had the same group as before and a few new faces huddled together in the area of the studio the pair had been in before. However, in that particular picture, if anyone looked close enough, they could see Finn immortalized a pair of bunny ears with his claw-like digits behind the two new faces that looked as though they were straining themselves to smile.
[break][break]
Ah yes, good times...good times!

Marcie followed the pleasant radio show host’s guidance to a place they could hold a meeting. So far he seemed very pleased by the idea of how she wanted to incorporate advertisements into the breaks of his show without interfering with the main aspect of the show itself. As she entered the room, thanking him for the offer of a seat, she let her amber eyes shift around the walls, spotting the tale of the radio show as it seemed to grow, Finn not seeming to be in the original picture but with the crew as it seemed to grow more over time, smirking a little at the memories he kept. Marcie… recalled she could be a bit of a loner, without realizing it really. She never felt depressed in her loneliness, she did well alone, left to her own devices… but perhaps someday she’d like to have photos of that herself. Then again. It was a little hard to develop a family like bond with criminals of all people… maybe some day she’d find a tight knit little crew she could hold onto like this little radio show family.
For now though… she shook the thought from her mind, offering Finn a small smile. “You should tell me the story of those pictures before I leave. They look like quite the nice little collection.~”
Pouring herself a glass of water from the pitcher in the middle of the table, she took a quiet sip before thinking out to continue, her brow flexing briefly as she found her words. “So, as I was saying I don’t want to impact on your vision of the show where I can help it. I’d happily work with one of your’writers and maybe just develop a brief advertisement you can read before your morning break or something. The most I was thinking I’d ever interfere is, maybe, organizing a deal that if you ever do a sketch in a café, whether it looks good or bad on the Café, you reference the labelle’ brand of cafes. I mean even if you say it was ‘the monster café from france’, the moment your fans realize it’s a real brand, they’d want to check it out. All press is good press afterall.~ But I’d understand of course if that was a step too far interfering with your potential scripts.” She’d definitely like for her Café to be a potential setting for his stories, but she was trying to be extrememly reasonable on these ideas.

[nospaces] [attr="class","finn1"] [attr="class","finnimg00"] [attr="class","finnbox"] [attr="class","finntag"]it's show time! [attr="class","finntext"]
Giving her a slight bow as a response to her expression of gratitude with a grin, it was always nice to have a hint of positive acknowledgement. There were far too many folks who just had the worst manners possible, which was always suuuuuch a headache to deal with. Ah, that was something he could do without and he longed for a day he could cut those ties....one day, it was just a matter of time and he'd have to keep dancing along on with patience until then. It seemed as though his eyes lit up ever so slightly when she mentioned wanting to hear about the tales hidden behind the photos. "Ah, why of course, my dear Miss Labelle~!" Despite that accent of his coating his voice, it still held a degree of smoothness to it as spoke with a delighted grin.
[break][break]
A subtle flick and swivel of his fluffy ears, she undoubtedly had his full attention and couldn't help but flash her a sharp grin. Not one individual he worked with actually offered such an open minded offer at this table, not a single soul...but they were painfully drab a vast majority of the time. Bringing a set of clawed digits to his chin, he lightly tapped his index digit slightly against his velveteen skin. "I suppose this means we'll be working quite closely together, my dear~. For you see..." Closing his eyes as he moved his hand away with a light twirl before resting it upon his chest, partially reopening his eyes like a sly Cheshire cat.
[break][break]
"...I am the writer behind all the tales you hear from me, unless of course a listener submits a prompt~! Then I have some welcomed assistance..." Lowering his hand to the table, he couldn't help but feel chipper at the prospect of working with such a lovely individual! "In fact, if you aren't busy, I've got time to spare and would love to visit your café~!" Lacing his slender fingers together, he brought them up so he could rest his chin upon his knuckles with a slight head tilt. "Perhaps even get a jump start, what do you think~?"
[break][break]
Flicking an ear at the end of his words with a playful undertone, he was genuinely intrigued to see whether or not she'd have the time. Whether they had to push that back for now, he didn't mind, especially since he fully anticipated her to be a busy sort. Wow...how long had it been that he'd actually been excited to work with someone? Waaaaay too long, that's for sure! Perhaps this was the start of better things over the horizon of his future?

Marceline’s brow raised as Finn started to ‘ramp up’ to the reveal that he was not only the shows key performer, but apparently it’s sole writer, her brow rising even further and her eyes growing a little wide at the reveal. She wasn’t too surprised really, he was an eccentric fellow and clearly seemed to be the imaginative type, but all the same it was a pleasant little revelation that, should she want to work anything into his show in the future to draw more customers to her legit business’, she’d be working with him personally rather than some potentially nervous or easily unnerved script writer who she wouldn’t be able to hold as fluid a conversation with.
“My my my.~ Such a creative individual.~ If I didn’t have a business to run I might consider re-opening my dating life for such a spectacular specimen such as yourself.~” She shot a sly wink and stuck out her tongue though as she said that, tipping her head as she cupped her fist against her chin with her cheeky expression. “I tease, of course.~ I’ve never been one for dating, as interesting as I’m sure you’d be to handle such a relationship with.~” All the same things seemed to be flowing… very smoothly~ And even if they had a very simple, easy relationship, Marceline was looking forward to whatever contact she may hold with this individual in the future.~
Her expression piqued again as the man suggested he use the break time he had to visit one of her cafes… it wouldn’t be too hard. The benefits of having a ‘chain business’ like this, even one so young, was it meant you had establishments on ever other major location throughout the city, so she would only need to think for a moment before realizing they had a branch not too far away. “Oh. Well I’m sure we could find one of our establishments in walking distance if you’re sure, buuuut perhaps we should call a taxi on our way out.~ I wouldn’t want you being late back to walk cause we took a leisurely stroll.~”
Despite having only just sat down Marcie was happy enough to take their meeting to her ‘home ground’, about to leave for the door but stopping and turning on her heel, pulling a phone from her purse and taking a quick picture of the hanging pictures on the wall, smirking back at Finn as she offered her arm out to hook as they were to make their way out. “Sorry, have to be sure we have a copy for when you tell be about those pictures.~”

[nospaces] [attr="class","finn1"] [attr="class","finnimg03"] [attr="class","finnbox"] [attr="class","finntag"]it's show time! [attr="class","finntext"]
Oh ho! Miss Labelle over here was certainly shaping out to be a playfully bold sort, that's for sure! Never a dull moment with this one, no doubt! Even keeping him on his toes as though she actually harbored some sort of romantic interest in him for a moment. Those ruby red orbs centered by rose tinted irises widened slightly and he lightly twitched those fluffy ears followed by a subtle wiggle of his tail.
[break][break]
HA!
[break][break]
What a great joke! Cackling out into a short lived fit of laughter which completely cracked his calm composure, his fingers trailing along each other whilst bringing them apart.
[break][break]
Had his co-workers not been conditioned to his damn laughter, they'd probably think he was some sort of evil mastermind or some such! Curiously enough, the pair of co-workers who he had to make the extra effort to play nice with treated him as though he might be some sort of villain. Honestly, it made pulling some good ol' fashion pranks all the more entertaining in his book. Aaaah those two were fantastic at bringing out his more chaotic side! Stifling back his laughter to a low chuckle with a devious air to it, he couldn't help but think back to the time when he traumatized them from using the restroom they had.
[break][break]
Making them think it was haunted with a malicious spirit...good times, good times indeed! Right, he had business with the lovely woman before him who teased about the notion of dating. It appears she didn't mind the idea of an excursion, despite how the two just took their seats not too long ago. As a matter of fact, she was up on her feet rather quickly. Hm! Turns out they would be going out for a moment!
[break][break]
Slowly in a near dramatic fashion, Finn stood up to his full height taking his stride before inadvertently looming over his charming new sponsor. Tilting his head ever so slightly, he didn't expect the woman to take a photo of those framed slices of time, otherwise he probably would have tried to photo bomb it juuuust a bit! People enjoyed taking photos with their phones quite often, another opportunity would certainly present itself. Straightening up his posture for a moment, he lightly fanned his hand, a sly grin playing across his lips. "Oh my dear Miss Labelle~! You jest~! After all, we've just met~!"
[break][break]
Hooking his arm with her own like a true gentleman, "Hn, a curious thing to apologize for. Truly, it's flattering that you'd like a little reference to gaze upon when I tell you the little string of stories~" Once again, smooth with his words as he followed her lead. "...and don't worry yourself over the taxi for my little return trip, thoooouuugh...I could end up getting an interesting driver...hmmm~!" Bringing his free hand thoughtfully up to his chin, he couldn't help but think back to the one driver he had on his way from the airport during a quick trip to America. The guy was a quirkless hardened war veteran who could kill a guy with just his thumb, that was pretty impressive!
[break][break]
Managed to even hear about how that same fellow worked as a security guard and lived underground at a theme park. How true it was or not made for interesting story fodder at the very least! Glancing over toward the intern at her desk, he gave her a slight wave, "I'll be heading out on a little date, a business date~! Keep up the great work while I'm gone~!" Finishing those words with the snap of his fingers, he couldn't help but feel excitement bubbling up within him! This was honestly looking up to be a great day in his book, that's for sure!

Marcie was briefly stunned by the laugh herself but soon warmed up to it as another unique aspect of the man who’s radio show she’d certainly been enjoying, giving a much more refined little giggle behind her fingers to his own more raucous laughter fit at her teasing and joke. Honestly she should have been a liiiittle insulted he laughed at it so eagerly, but, well, he seemed to be clear on the understanding that, par when they would actually be talking business, that it was all fun and games between them as far as they should be concerned.
As hectic as this meeting was, from one room, to another, to immediately leaving right again, she didn’t really mind it. It kept things more interesting than the usual appointment for a business arrangement like this and while she got a look at the inner workings of one of her preferred forms of entertainment, she was feeling it was a pleasure to give Finn a tour, however brief, of one of her quaint little cafés. “But of course but of course. Though you clearly seemed to have noticed that sir.~” She teased back with a playfully upper class tint to her tone, certainly enjoying all the back and forth between the two of them.
Slipping her arm about his, she rolled her eyes at being called out for her apology. “Just a language tick, always feels good to apologize for taking time out like that, even if it’s not ‘worth’ an apology you know? Makes me just feel like I’m showing someone else I respect their time.~” She just gave a small shrug, apologies were just part of her vocabulary and forms of speech even if they weren’t needed. If anything it made her uncomfortable to have it pointed out, though she was good at hiding that under a pleasant demeanor with her talents. She quirked her brow at the comment of an interesting driver, but she couldn’t really get the joke, offering a courtesy chuckle at most. “I’m sure you might…”
She chuckled a little more readily as he mentioned to his co-workers he’d be ‘going on a date’ only to swiftly add some more information on the matter, subtly rolling her eyes again and shaking her head but… in an endeared manner at the very least. As they walked out the building she’d soon slip her arm from his if only to access her phone, letting him know if he asked that she was just checking where the closest branch was. She was still relatively new to Tokyo afterall, and while she knew every street that held one of her cafes, she wasn’t sure about all the streets around those. Lucky for them it was just about a block or so’s walk till they managed to arrive at one of her establishments.
The environment was very calm, the décor looking a bit more upper class but with a more modern European sensibility to it, letting the ‘euro-boos’ of Japan get their fill of a French themed atmosphere without going into full pandering mode, Marceline’s staff behind the counter clearly recognizing her as they dipped their heads, implying she visited her branches often of course. “Can I get you anything to drink before we take a seat?~”

[nospaces] [attr="class","finn1"] [attr="class","finnimg03"] [attr="class","finnbox"] [attr="class","finntag"]it's show time! [attr="class","finntext"]
Ah, it wasn't often he'd bump into someone who could keep the beat with him, so to speak! Miss Labelle kept her banter up and wasn't a run of the mill business woman by far, a truly wonderful connection of sorts was being built between the pair. Admittedly, it was welcomed as can be that she wasn't opposed to changing their scenery a bit since as much as the Deer Hatter adored this place, it was nice to change up the scenery here and there as the day went on. The playful air about her was absolutely a breath of fresh air as well compared to the stuffy sorts he'd dealt with. "My, my...I never saw it that way~" Thoughtfully letting those words roll off his tongue, it...made a lot of sense, even for himself.
[break][break]
Never had he he moment to really dwell on why he found moments where it was like some sort of obligation to sprinkle in apologies...it was a dash n' splash of respect toward his peers. Though her response toward the driver almost seemed like she probably didn't find herself acquiring interesting folks once in a while, or perhaps she merely just had better things to do than strike conversations with those taking one from point A to B. That was fine! Just another topic resting on the shelf of potential conversation pieces to share is all~! Admittedly, he was a bit relieved that she wasn't put off by his little remark to the co-workers who knew this guy only had business dates on his docket!
[break][break]
A couple of them had been thinking their bets were secret about whether or not a date was business or not, for some reason they were under the impression that his ears were decorative. Man, he could hear them behind the closed doors of the break room and now he couldn't help but play along with them. In fact, as the pair left, there was a heavy sigh from someone who poked their nose out of the place they'd normally have their lunches before forking over their doughnut. Another business date it was, eventually they'd win, one day they'd be the one getting two doughnuts for lunch! Finn's ears swiveled to tune in for another round of lost pastry woes, snickering softly beneath his breath before returning his full attention back to the woman who was not only becoming his business partner, but a fan of his work as well.
[break][break]
Taking note that she was wisely using her phone to get her bearings on the place during their walk so the pair wouldn't get lost, he brought his hands behind his back with a grin and lightly tilt his head toward her, "You know, it's funny how I've lived in Tokyo for quite some time, yet I still need a little guidance, myself, once in a while~" It was a sincere effort to let her know, in his own little way, that she wasn't being looked down upon for using her phone to make sure they didn't get lost. As they got closer, he took in the lovely mix of aromas coming from the fine eatery, his tail wiggled slightly to sell his soul down the river that he'd been eager about just being here! Watching her dedicated little team at this particular branch of her lovely café take cover from the big boss in their presence. Sometimes, he wondered if his fellow co-workers felt that as though they had to hide away from him. It wasn't like he ran the radio station just yet, but he may as well have with how much he hustled to get them sponsorships so it could keep thriving.
[break][break]
"Oh, a drink? Why, I'd love one~! Perhaps something you feel could be called a signature drink of this fine establishment...?" Arching a brow as he let his gaze roam about, truly trying to take in the atmosphere as he let his feet guide him in a casual stride. The decor was on point as well...hm...he wondered...perhaps it would be worth slipping in a little inquiry about whether or not somewhere down the line if she'd be interested in selling his hats whenever he got around to actually making them? Oooo....maybe even hosting a fashion show here?! He had to stop getting so darn ahead of himself, he had to learn how to make the damn things first and actually discuss their business deal! One day....one day, he'd make his dreams of living up to his title come true....
[break][break]
Some day...at least he felt as though he was gradually getting himself where he needed to be in life...
[break][break]
While enjoying the scenery, damn near being entranced by it as a whole, he was sure to keep tabs on listening for the dear Miss Labelle to make sure he could provide her with his attention upon her return!

"Oh I'm hardly much better. I wouldn't be able to survive without google maps.~" She teased back a little, she could understand being lost in a city you'd spent a good portion of your life in though- "I will say however, even back in france I could definitely find little pockets of my hometown i never even recognized. I think that's only natural though no? You only really travel the streets your used to and that you know, so there can be entire corners of your home towns and cities you never think to venture into. As far as tokyo goes though I've still plenty to explore. I've only been here a year and most of that time was setting up the cafe business, so it's not like I could even consider getting around this place without some sort of guide..."
Still, with the help of her phone they found one of her cafes soon enough and Finn took up the offer of a drink, Marcie shooting him a warm smile before walking over to the counter. "I don't think we've established anything we could call a signature dish, but I'll be sure to get you something I think you'll enjoy.~" She offered back over her shoulder, approaching her staff. They seemed pretty welcoming, not too stiff despite the fact she was the one who owned the place and held their jobs in her hands, a more comrade-esque level of banter shared between them away from Finn before she began returning with their drinks, balancing a plate atop each cup she was holding with a light slice of cheesecake for each of them.
"Just a creamy coffee and a bit of desert, simple but should do well to keep you going through the day i'd imagine." With a delicate touch she managed to lower the cups so the plates caught on the table, easing them on with the edge of the raised cups so they didn't fall to the floor before placing the cups down with them, glancing across to Finn. "Though you do have me thinking we best start considering a signature desert or drink of some sort." She gave an idle shrug, taking her seat opposite Finn and lifting her coffee to take a sip. "So, how are you finding the place? The atmosphere suit you?"

[nospaces] [attr="class","finn1"] [attr="class","finnimg03"] [attr="class","finnbox"] [attr="class","finntag"]it's show time! [attr="class","finntext"]
At least she completely understood that no matter how long someone lived in a place, there was always something new to stumble across. As a matter of fact, there were so many places in Japan he hadn't the chance to see due to keeping himself busy with matters tied to the radio station. Slowly but surely, he'd find time to check things out, new and old! Life was all about the adventures along the way, wasn't it? So to him? Every word she spoke about her beloved homeland of France made sense. Miss Labelle, she had a good head on her shoulders for sure, the sort of fresh breath of air from his usual investors!
[break][break]
"Perhaps one of these days we could take a tour together when our schedules align~? I've heard some interesting things about a Haunted Japan tour that I've been quite interested in~! We could invite others as well, perhaps I'll have made myself some acquaintances or friends with similar tastes by then~" Finishing those words in a soft chuckle, thus far, he hadn't the joy of surrounding himself with friends or enjoyable business partners that would be interested in an obake themed tour. Rather than being upset or hurt over it, he was just a little amused...
[break][break]
All these years and he'd been on friendly terms with most of the people at work, but they certainly were an average bunch. Nothing wrong with that, really, but it just didn't make much sense for him to extend offers to someone when he knew they wouldn't have a good time... Welllllllll, maybe if it was a harmless prank or some such, then maybe! Though they've just met, he figured a sharp woman in a field such as customer service would get a good enough read on him to bring something delightful back. "I look forward to it, my dear~" The sounds dancing about in the air, he couldn't help but be at ease here...there was no doubt in his mind that his listeners would find themselves falling in love with this delightful eatery!
[break][break]
When she returned with a safe, but what he honestly would find himself calling a simply fine choice, the combination was a fine one at that! Sometimes simplicity was the way to go, anyone who felt the desire to over complicate things would probably find themselves in a rut sooner rather than not. Or, you know, that's how he sincerely felt. "It's a lovely choice, my dear Miss Labelle, thank you~" Taking the cup with his pinky up as though on reflex, he listened to her while taking a sip of the surprisingly smooth coffee. Many people would find themselves believing that there was no such thing as art to brewing coffee, but on the contrary!
[break][break]
There were numerous was to ruin a seemingly simple beverage, but this? One could argue it was the perfectly prepared cup! "Ah...if you do, perhaps you could call it the Labelle Special~? Simple, but catchy all the same...as for the atmosphere~? Well, it's actually quite lovely...it's...hnnn...how do I put it~? Welcoming with an air of elegant charm~? Hn, yes...that seems about right~" Calmly, he took a bit of his cheesecake and chased it down with a sip of coffee after having a moment to savor the flavor. "You know, Miss Labelle, I'm thinking...since you have multiple locations...why don't we assign a theme for each one to show off on the radio dramas~? Though this is a chain, I believe it may be an interesting twist to keep my listeners on their toes, looking forward to see which version of the Labelle Café will be mentioned~. What do you think~?"

Honestly, though he knew there was a great deal of creative freedom in his court, it was actually nice to get genuine input from someone who held a special place in their heart for the tales he spun!

Coming back with her coffee and cheesecakes, Marcie was in a good mood to hear the review of her establishment, enjoying the idea that he found it welcoming yet elegant, which really was what she had been going for. An air of upperclass, the cafe you could picture drinking at as you looked out over the coast on a french shore town, but in turn easy enough to step into even if you weren't the kind to be so extravegant as to go on such holidays. She took a slither of cheesecake herself and took in his suggestion to theme her resteraunts... she smiled, chuckled a little even, but she had to shake her head to the idea.
"I'm sorry but that dosn't really seem plausible. I absolutely appreciate your thoughts on the matter, truly I do, but to redecorate every other cafe I own simply for the pleasure of your listeners? While it would be a wonderful affect to achieve I certainly don't have the revenue for that. Besides, the theme is attatched to my name. My french heritage. I base these cafes on the cafes I remember from home, the slight curves to the furniture, the open space, the soft lighting, it's very much... me. I do certainly appreciate the feedback, and I'd be open to hear more if it would in any way help this deal come alive for you but..."
She tried to choose her words carefully...
"At the end of the day... to change the words of a script costs you mostly your time... to change the decor of my cafes... it costs me time, it costs me money, and it costs me profits. To even close down my cafes for a day each to redecorate and re-define them would be a major loss for what amounts to simple advertisement. And I mean no insult with that, but... while I love the imagination in your shows, I hope you can understand how I have to remain realistic in terms of my own business?"
He truly meant no offense and she was worried he may be upsetting him by turning down such feedback, but... while in reality money wasn't much of a worry to her, she did like how her business was built. She liked how simple it could feel and how reliable it could be wherever you stepped in. Where she to say... theme one as a spanish theme, or an english theme, another as french another with german tones... she'd lose that flair of home she brought with her. That welcoming atmosphere she'd created at several locations all over the city... he'd certainly be open to accepting that, no?
