BOOM
An earth shattering sound rattled the ground followed by a spray of fire and glass. Debris scattered this way and that, smoke plumed, screams rose and fell as the living joined the procession to the feet of Ereskigal. Another blast, fire battered against exposed skin, warming the body to the point of small beads of sweat. Gunfire in the distance; like little pop pop pops of bubble wrap being stepped upon. Laughter subsumed it all, shouts and jeers of men and women indulging themselves in a dance of madness and bloodshed. Another plume of smoke blew through the air as a quirker used his powers to cause the side of a small building to erupt with a single blast. The smoke blew over her; she closed her eyes, letting it soak into her skin before looking up at the orange-red stained and starless sky. Not a mote of light from the sun, even the moon was nearly obscured. Active UV Radiation was at its lowest point right now.
Ishtar looked at her hand, coiling her fingers around a whisp of white light that danced across her skin like some delicate little creature. She smiled at it, turning her hand over and letting it play about while another building full of civilians was torn into by those she'd set free. Screams rose, pleas for mercy, sobs. Ishtar lowered her hand and looked up at the slowly marching wave of destruction as it inched its path towards the heart of Tokyo. Somewhere in the distance a great ape quirker who had escaped the prison was engaged with a monstrous hero. She recognized the shape of the figure from the Sports Festival viewing. Her mechanical eyes focused and refocused in the evershifting light sources; heroes had begun to fight back. Vigilantes were on the move. Even the UA students were participating. Everyone was here.
She smiled, her respirator mask concealing most of her face. Her silver hair glittered with a diamond like sparkle that partially hid the color. Her uniform, one designed to appear like a military uniform, was an-off white grey accompanied by black straps. She took a few steps forward, stepping off the side of the building and onto something white and glowing beneath her feet. Her high heels clicked against it. She made her way down a line of glowing steps that appeared and vanished as she moved, not once changing her direction before she got to the ground. She stopped when the sound of something hitting the ground caught her attention. She glanced over her shoulder; pink eyes glowing with a murderous light and saw a man standing with his arms crossed against his barrel chest.
A few criminals nearby stopped to watch, one of them muttering under his breath to the others. They didn't intervene on her behalf, a few actually watched hungrily to see if they could get a good hit in on their new 'leader'. She smirked, fine. A small breath escaped her lips and the hiss of the respirator filled the air. For some reason it seemed loud in her ears despite the chaos around them. The man frowned; "You must be Ishtar," He said, tapping his ear. "You make a distinct sound," He said and crouched, eager to leap at her. She tilted her head, squinting. She didn't recognize him. Some minor pro no doubt. She followed the way his eyes moved, they canted slightly past her, to the right. Not to get someone's attention or confirm something... he was watching someone, wary. Nervous? Ah...
She pointed at him; "Look at you, a true detective," She rasped, a flash of white light followed her words, something...cold sizzled the air. The ground behind her frosted over, the air tingled and began to reek of an acrid... horrible... rotten smell. The dazzling effects of the light lasted only a half instant before they passed; revealing the hero gripping his side. He looked at the wound, eyes wide, his torso was blackened and burned, he dropped to a knee and coughed; bile spewing from his lips, he struggled to stand, to fight, to save even his own life. Live another day, save more lives elsewhere. She glanced over her shoulder and turned to face where he had been looking. Four shapes disappeared into an alley just across the street.
"I think your backup just abandoned you," She said, and turned to look at the two criminals who had been eagerly waiting for a chance to kill her. "Kill him," She pointed at the hero and began to walk. No monologue, no ceremony, no gloating. Those were the games of a novice. She had bigger prey to toy with now. They hadn't attacked her, but they obviously weren't civilians-they didn't make a sound. Her eyes narrowed. The heroes couldn't possibly have chosen to send students out here. No, it had to be something else. She began her march toward the alley, fingers crackling with white light. "...I'm going hunting." | TAG WORDS NOTES

Yumi may have been… a little gung ho in her approach. When she’d heard about the prison break out and the call was put forth to get all the 3rd year students in the field, she’d donned her take home edition of her hero costume as quickly as she could and rushed off towards the prison. Burning a lot of juice in the process but nothing a breathe breather wouldn’t fix. Arriving on the scene she’d managed to find a pro hero that had been pretty close to the outbreak to latch onto as her overseer, and from there it was just a matter of… well, putting her training to use. She had some of the more extensive field work as an intern given the case with the sisters, and coupled with her re-focusing as a combat hero over the past year she was pretty battle hardened already even in a tense situation like this.
Besides, most of these criminals… as big as they may have been in the past, they’d spent months if not years locked up inside, meaning their quirks were tired and under-utalized. They were running on adrenaline and an immense desire to free themselves, but at the end of the day, where they’d had to remain in tightly monitored cells or just allowed a bit of yard time to exercise, Yumi was running on 2 years of rigorous training of both her body and her quirk. Taking out a bunch of adrenaline high escapees? It was pretty much nothing.
But, that all still lead to her current situation. Meeting up with a few other students who had been working under the same pro, the group had been told to lay low while he took the forward approach on someone who didn’t blend into the crowd. Pretty easy given she was one of the few people in the mess not wearing an orange jumpsuit, and hardly looking like a vigilante either. Yumi turned off her quirk for a moment, not wanting to draw attention to them as the pro wanted and letting them take the lead, watching from a safe distance and with a cautious breath…
It was over in a flash. Literally.
Yumi’s breath caught in her throat at just the wrong moment, nearly sputtering in a cough as she watched but managing to hold it back. All she’d seen was a flash of light and suddenly the pro hero was dropping to his knees, she and the other students left stunned as to what could have possibly happened. Yumi’s instinct was to jump in. Push to the front of the fray and show what she could do here. But… no. Her instinct was wrong. As much as she liked to show what she could do and put herself forward in the heat of battle, this wasn’t the moment for it! The pro hero had just gone down in a literal flash and they had no prior research on the woman they were dealing with, her quirks or… heck the constant variables of the random goons who could come around the corner and jump them in the midst of a fight. Yumi wasn’t about to risk herself like that. Heck she especially wasn’t gonna risk anyone with her by being too hasty. She briefly looked about the alley they’d been hiding in for anything to help them, rearing back her arms and activating her quirk. It looked like the villain already spotted them so why bother hiding? Activating her quirk with a burst of blue light, she slammed two dumpsters in the alleyway together to act as a blockade, turning to any of the other students with her. “We gotta move! Go on ahead! Try and find a pro hero!”

The call to help was perhaps the most frantic one she had ever seen in her life. It was abrupt and it came without warning. No time to process or react to everything that was going on as she got the call for work. Her friends did the same but her mind was racing as she rushed to her room and suited up. It was the latest version of her suit that was more suited for battle and had less of the wear and tear. Simple to put on and even better to move around in, she hoped to use it in an apprenticeship but not this soon. It didn't have everything as she planned to get a few dozen things added onto it but it was the best she can work with. Goggles, gloves, belt, and a bunch of backup tools were put on as she donned her outfit.
“Showtime!”, Feng said as she leaped out of the window and began running towards the area filled with trouble. She didn't have time to think, she needed to act as she saw her phone that was filled with various messages. Fortunately for her, she stuck onto a pro hero who was already en route as she was cleared for action. Her mind was calm as she was used to this as this marks the third or fourth instance of this sort of thing hitting her. She was familiar with fights and at this point she has a fair few battles under her belt to warrant this sort of attitude. But she was not excited or even joyful but she was anxious at the entire situation. The repeated battles as of late made her adverse to using her skills knowing the dangers she had been facing without realizing. It was daunting as she thought about it as she ran down the street as she got closer and closer to the conflict.
A few criminals that crossed her path were unfortunate to say the least as she made quick work of them as she tied them to a telephone pole that was out of danger. A dozen of these criminals have standard quirks due to their time being locked up but it was best to never underestimate their power in numbers. A quirk is still a quirk and she made sure to keep that in mind as she was nearly shot on her way to a different area. The battles were getting more larger in scale as there was no end to the numbers she was seeing in the distance as the clash between police and villains were everywhere. The dozen she took out didn't even make a dent in their overall numbers as more seemed to take their place.
Along the way, she ran into another group of students she was familiar with as they were all under a similar pro hero. With safety in numbers she tagged along with them in hopes of stopping the more dangerous targets.
What they found instead was an individual who more or less stood out from the others as she wasn't wearing the standard prisoner attire. She wanted to jump in and take her down but the hero just….fell without much of a fight. It was horrifying to see a man go down that fast in a flash with that much damage done to his body. All of her instincts were screaming at her to run from that moment on but Feng grit her teeth as the only thing in her mind was focused on getting the hero out of there. The alley way that was once their cover was blown wide open as various criminals were coming for them. “Rog-”, she squeaked out but she saw what was going to follow. “LIKE HELL I'M GONNA LET THAT HAPPEN”
In the heat of the moment, she saw two criminals getting ready to kill the pro hero in question, her eyes glowed in rage as she came in flying like a meteor as she slammed both criminals in question while their backs were turned. Blames burst from her legs as she made quick work of them as she grabbed a hold of the hero. There were more coming her way so she made sure to grab a hold of the hero. She wanted to throw up, she wanted to scream, she wanted to run away as she saw his sorry state but she kicked it back in as she carried him. The smell was unbreakable but she used her quirk to its best of its abilities to get away from the coming horde and headed towards the rooftops. She had a few shots of endurance boosters and other things to stabilize the pro’s deteriorating state but it was obvious that he needed some serious care from what just happened to him.
She ran from the coming groups as she leaped from rooftop to rooftop with Injured pro in hand. Her goggles had a built in radio so she put herself on the right frequency to put out a call. “Coming in all emergency services, this is Typhoon Dragoon. I have an injured pro hero who needs a care stat, I repeat I have an injured pro hero who needs an urgent care stat!”, she yelled over the radios she looked around for a pro hero who can take care of this guy. She tried to keep her cool but a live rescue like this was something new to her and she needed to get him help quickly. Luckily for her in her haste, she is still within range of her allies.

Post by Arthur "Reddarcc" Hunter on Jun 6, 2020 22:05:58 GMT -4
You know, Red hadnt been expecting to be in this kind of situation today. Sure, he was a dumbarse, but he figured today would just end like usual, with a bunch of jobs done, cash in bank account, and he could blow himself up a bit, spend time with Yumi, get confused and have arguements with the guy in his head on how they dealt with the....Feng emotions, and then pass out somewhere and wake up the next day. But no, life had decided that today was the day that Red got a reminder of just what kind of life he used to live before UA: Running from people who probably wanted to fucking murder him. A reminder of just how powerless he really was.
But, lets flashback a little bit, to where all of this had started. Red was just chilling in his garage, working on some gear, and trying his best not to look in the corner of his garage where he buried.....absolutely nothing he had leaning against the wall, hidden behind some random crap, when he saw Yasashi needed help with the TV at the dorm. He couldnt tell what was up with it but the signal was on the fritz. Red offered to help, assuming it was just a signal issue or something, and got his tools together. Unfortunatly for them.....and all of UA and Tokyo at large, the problem would reveal itself very quickly.
Ishtar. Some new villian who had decided that today was a GREAT day to break literally everyone out of a supermax in Tokyo, and brag about it by hijacking the airwaves. To most people, this would probably be the first time they heard about her, but to Red? This just added more fuel to the fire for him. Atleast now he had a name for her beyond white queen or "That bitch who used Yuuto and might do the same with Yumi and Feng"...That is, if he was who he thought she was.
See, Red had been trying to find anything on this lady for a while. His interest in her got ignited when UA got hacked and Yuuto admitted to him that he was the one responsible.....Though, Red couldnt really blame him for it. The lady had kidnapped Ran and pretty much forced his hand, there wasnt exactly anything he could do. But, all he had to do on was Yuutos testimony when it came to who she was.....which wasnt the best, all he could tell him was she had weird eyes and that he got weird vibes from the ASTA CEO.....but it was better than nothing.
It gave Red a lead, atleast. Sure, he hadnt been able to do much with it yet, beyond shadow Ran on Yuutos behalf so that she didnt get kidnapped again, but he had something. Plus, he knew Yojin was doing something similar, thanks to a few DM's in UA chat, and he'd already asked Yuuto if he got the same vibes from the woman who forced him to stick a USB into the school computers as the speech...and he did. Yojin couldnt get close enough with his drones so.....Red would just have to be his eyes for today.
So, grabbin a backpack and his gear, leaving his signature coat behind due to the "Rush" of the 2nd and 3rd years getting called into to help with the riot, He'd head out first, not taking the time to wait for Yumi or Feng to suit up before he got to the scene of the carnage. Though, he didnt plan on hooking up with a pro. Sure, he did it for apperences sake, so he had some kind of alibi, but at the first oppourtunity he'd break off down an alley to go "Take care of some prisoners" and make himself scarce.
See, Reds purpose here wasnt just to surpress the riots. Sure, he'd help as much as he could, but right now that was secondary to his primary goal: Find out who the fuck Ishtar is. He still had no concrete evidence on whether his theory of Sonya Chernova, CEO of ASTA, was actually a villian, and this was a golden oppourtunity to try and get some. He wanted to make sure he didnt sound like he was crazy when he warned Yumi and Feng about her....and prove he wasnt just being a paranoid fuck about this.
Red'd flag down one of Yojins drones so he could make good on his promise to give him live footage of what was happening from his leftover camera equipment from the brawl, then donned what he could cobble together as a disguise. Really, it was some old clothes from way back, before he'd even met Yumi, a fuckin Mr Blobby mask, only chosen cause he could fit his goggles in the damn thing, and an old training sword from before he'd come up with the hilts. He'd stick all of his usual gear, beyond his shoes which hopefully looked like any other pair of sneakers, into the backpack, and set off.
Really, it was a shitty job, but it was better than nothing. He had to make sure that, if this all went tits up, that he could get away without her knowing who he was....cause if she did....he really didnt want to think about what she could do to get to him. He'd be effectively quirkless in her presence, since that might give him away. All he had was a sword, his skates, a data link with Yojin, and his head. So the odds of this going wrong were astronomically high.
Once he was ready, he pretty much followed the drone around from the rooftops, forgoing the skates to just jump from building to building, using his quirk as little as he could. Eventually though, he managed to find what he was looking for......and he didnt know if he was happy or instantly regretting this. Cause boy was the scene he rolled up on a dire one.
He'd found his mark alright. It was looking alright to start with, what with a Pro catching her attention, seemingly with a team backing him up....Unfortunatly, the situation quickly changed. The camera caught as much as it could, but the bright light did mask what happened....but the effects were clear as day. The pro was fucked up, bad. Red had to fight down the urge to just jump down there and help him, his instincts screaming that he needed to do something as he gripped the hilt of his piece of crap blade......but he had to keep hidden. Atleast for now. He just had to hope that the guy got help. Luckily, he did.....but the situation for Red got worse.
Yumi and Feng were here. Across the street from him. And Ishtar was after them. Feng had managed to dash in and grab the guy, but Red had had to duck quickly to hide from her. Thank christ she'd jumped up a different rooftop to run for it. Yumi on the other hand had decided to use her quirk to blockade her alleyway, which hopefully blocked her line of sight from him. Red would just sit there, hiding behind an AC unit, hoping that they both could run for it before anything bad happened. All he could do right now, was keep filming and hope to god the link held. He still had local storage but....it was better to have both, just incase.

Post by Meara O'Connor on Jun 23, 2020 19:03:06 GMT -4
Meara was in rough shape as she ran through the streets, her armor was scratched up, cracked in several parts, and had quite a few dents in it. And to top it all off, she was still feeling the effects of whatever substance that bitch from just earlier sprayed in her face. Everything felt, off, like her senses were running a touch slow. So that combined with the mild injuries she had sustained made it hard for her to move efficiently. “What did that bitch do to me?” she questioned. Her helmet retracted as she leaned up against a wall and closed her eyes. “God this is not how I expected my first chance to do some actual hero work would go.” She thought. She had gone out not expecting to kick ass and take names, but she didn’t expect to get separated from her Pro and get her ass kicked and exposed to some unknown chemical.
But Meara also knew that she couldn’t stop pressing forward just yet. There could still be people trapped in the chaos that needed rescue. So She pushed herself off the wall, reactivated her helmet, and started to march forward into danger. “Let’s hope that was the worst thing to happen to me tonight…” She thought as she continued down the empty street.
As she ran through the streets Meara helped a few more civilians by directing them where to go and what streets to avoid. “Thank Christ my Japanese has gotten so good.” she said as she pointed a couple to the safe zone. A block later she noticed a few figures off in the distance, at first she couldn’t make out who they were so she slowed down. “Oh please don’t be more villains.” She thought as she slowly approached. Thankfully it turned out to be A couple of schoolmates and a Pro. “Oh thank God.” she sighed, relieved that she finally met back up with a Pro. “Hey Lightning! Dragoon! I’m Fucking glad I finally found some…..” She began before she witnessed the Pro that they were with be brought to their knees in a flash of light. Meara stopped dead in her tracks, mouth agape as she looked on at the fallen hero. “Christ on a fucking stick…” Was the only thing she could say. She was in shock, did she just watch a person die? Specifically murdered by a villain.
Thankfully the other two heroes in training were able get over the shock of the grizzly scene a lot quicker than Meara, as she watched Yumi make a quick barrier with a couple of dumpsters and Feng jumped in and grabbed the possibly dead hero and began to run off, presumably to both get them to safety and find another Pro. “God damn it O’Connor. Your classmates are acting, so move yer feet and help.” she chastised herself. Taking in a deep breath she calmed herself and looked over at her slightly damaged cannon. It sparked with pale blue energy as she felt the Nanites in her body serge with new found excitement and resolve. “Ok, Let's do this.” she said as charged ahead.
Meara ran forward as she raised her cannon, ready to fire if need be, stopping as she got next to Yumi. “This is turning out to be a cluster fuck of a night. Ay Lightning?” Meara commented as she stared through her cracked visor at the group of people in front of them. “Get moving and I’ll cover us as we move. Have any ideas where any more pros might be? I got separated from mine a while ago.” Meara said as she kept her sights trained on the potential threat. Meara had a feeling in her gut that this was going to be a long and rough night.

Ishtar's march did not stutter when the flash of blue light followed a shout. A familiar voice. Yumi Tasukai. Ishtar's eyes rolled and she let out a small laugh under her breath. She chewed her lip and started marching a bit faster, lowering her hand to her side as the blue light drew two dumpsters together to form a blockade. Ishtar's lip curled and she allowed her light to begin to coalesce- a sudden burst of movement drew her attention as something flashed past her in an instant. Ishtar turned her head fast, just in time to see a young woman land next to the downed Pro Hero. She picked him up and without hesitation blasted back off toward the same alley Yumi had fled down. Curious. So there was more. Not wasting any more time Ishtar began to walk toward the blockage, glowing glass-like plates forming in the air in front of her. She marched along them, her heels clicking against what seemed like glass.
Ishtar drew her finger to her ear and a buzz filled her ears, of course, she rolled her eyes and plucked the comm out, tossing it away. She drew in a deep breath and tapped the device on her throat that Axel had prepared for doing the speech at the prison. Her voice carried just a bit further thanks to it. "It seems we have some rabbits in the den of foxes!" She called out, finally peaking on her steps atop one of the upturned dumpsters, she strode across it toward the alley, her hands glowing brightly. She threw her hand out when she caught a glimpse of Yumi, no and a spray of hard-light needles imbued with radiation filled the alley with a brief wave of piercing death. She lowered her hand, realizing she'd likely missed, and stepped off the dumpster.
"Running away? What happened to heroes who stand and fight?" Ishtar's rasping voice cried out, she laughed and began marching down the alley, her fingers tensing and relaxing. She still hadn't noticed Red behind her, nor had she noticed the third female hero of the group that had fled from her wrath. Not that it mattered. A criminal came screaming down the alley, his eyes wide as he swung the hatchet in his hand with a hysterical laugh. Ishtar didn't even notice him, instead, walked past as his skin began to freeze and his eyes melted out of his skull. He toppled forward as his body began to turn black. "Come on now... I'm right here..." She called, "No? You can't run forever... the villains out here want to impress me, they'll slow you down," She shouted, her voice still amplified. "You hear that? You scum of the earth? Several young heroes are skittering about like cowards out here, slow them down for me... I want a word."
She laughed and kept down the street, looking for hints of obstacles and efforts to slow her progress. Depending on their appearance they could either be a distraction or the hint she needed to figure out where to go next. A movement near by drew her attention and she whipped out her left hand, a solid ribbon of white light coiled around a man's throat and he gasped in agony, his body withering as she processed that he was not-in fact-her prey. She released him and continued walking, her glowing eyes spinning and readjusting to take in every detail around her. She needed to get a better look at the young people fleeing her. Ahead of her, the criminals that could hear her voice had begun seeking out the fleeing UA students, not knowing exactly who they were hunting except that the vicious goddess wanted them found.

"FENG THE HELL ARE-GAAAAGH!!!" Yumi let out a borderline roar of frustration as Feng just rushed out right next to the damn villainess who'd just taken down a hero in one blow. Luckily Feng managed to use her superior speed to grab the hero and take him out over the rooftops but damn it to hell did she really need to take a risk like that? Jesus christ how in the hell did Feng even function sometimes!? With all the cat shit and the sleeping on rooftops and now-!? UGh... focus, focus. Her eyes narrowed, her brow furrowing as she kept her eyes on the advancing villain, watching Meara rush forward with their cannon arm raised, wanting to hold off the woman, Yumi again just staring in disbelief.
"Meara no offense but the HELL do you think you can do against the woman that just-!" Yumi's argument was cut short as some sort of attack was launched, darting backwards as an electrical stream flowed out of her right arm, harmless tendrels of electricity wrapping around Meara, using the organic metal that made up her nanonbots as a locking point for her electro magnetic forces, dragging Meara backwards to help her avoid the radiating needles, catching her weight so she didn't fall backwards and trying to drag her away at speed. "The hell is with you idiots today!?"
Yumi didn't mean to be rude even in such a life or death situation but... no fuck it. She was scared for her life here and there go Meara and Feng literally rushing head first into the danger. They were trained to save lives not just fruitlessly sacrifice their own as heroes! The hell were the two of them thinking. "Tell you what just start blasting walls to try and get some rubble blocking our path! I'll focus on the escape!" With Feng up on the rooftops Yumi was sticking with Meara down on the ground, trying to avoid looking at the man who practically just melted from even getting close to the villain chasing them and focusing her eyes on the paths ahead, coming to a crossroads a little further away, with goons in orange jumpsuits rushing to try and slow them down, firing off electrical shots to keep them back, one taking hold of a lampost and dragging it down into the road as a temporary barrier to try and slow more of their forces down.
"As far as pros go I don't know who's in the area... FENG! You've got eyes on the roof! We got any pros fighting close by!?"

Feng’s mind was racing a mile per minute as usual, her shifts from overly odd to hyper focused baffling the mind at times but it was coming in handy at the current moment. She was focused on getting the hero to safety but it was proving to be tricky as she had to protect herself, her allies and the injured on her back. The smell was the least of her worries as her eyes scanned the area that was teeming with a number of criminals who were under the thumb of the villain that did all of this. Panic, fear, pain, all of human emotion was hitting her at once as she desperately wanted to run away but she couldn't bring herself to. Determination, selflessness, anger and frustration were what fueled her in the moments that led up to her rushing in. it was stupid and asinine to even realize the gravity of the situation...but she didnt care, she is a hero and she cant leave a hero like this on the ground and be killed. She can hear him in pain as she jumped from rooftop to rooftop as she looked around.
“Everything will be alright, just save your energy and we will get you some help !”, she reassured the hero as a few winged and emitter type criminals came at her from all directions. She shifted into gear and kicked each one back as she struck each of their vital points. Ones with wings went flying the fastest, emitters were kicked down like footballs, and the rest were knocked out in one strike. But it was complicated as she had to protect the hero at the same time. It was one thing to do it in training but it was a different beast when it came to the real thing. But she kept her cool as she moved as if she was dancing in the wind as she kept up with Yumi and Meara. It was all she can do to keep her morale high as she saw him get melted earlier. She needed to be strong and if risking her life for this man is going to land her in trouble then so be it. Speed is what she is and she is sure as hell a bunch of convicts are not going to touch her.
On comms, she can hear Yumi loud and clear as she asked and she was eager to reply with her end,” No clue since this district is already chaotic enough! I'm on the radio calling for backup but no response yet, we need to give this one emergency care STAT! So unless either of you knows how to treat some serious wounds, I'm trying to map out an escape route as I speak”, she frantically answered as she kicked another criminal in the face. Landing on the roof and running on the edge she looked down to see Yumi and Meara.” I know you two can keep up so just follow me and make sure none of them get near y'all”, she said as she ran on the edge of the roof as she jumped from roof to roof. Making sure that the villains in her area dont get close to herself or her allies either.
“This is Typhoon Dragoon, we have a hero on duty who is critically injured and we request rendezvous soon! I repeat this is Typhoon Dragoon, we have an active hero on duty who is critically injured and I request any or all medical personnel who can rendezvous with us soon!”, she frantically said on her radio as she kicked another villain away.

Meara shot a quick glare at Yumi from underneath her visor at the girl's comments. “Yeah no shite Sherlock. I know there’s probably not a whole lot I can do to ‘em” she said back to her. Meara knew full well that even in peak condition she would almost definitely die in a straight fight. So in her current condition it would be suicidal to try and engage their foe. “You know Lightning.” Meara started before she was abruptly pulled back by Yumi’s quirk.
“Thanks…” Meara muttered after she regained her footing. She looked at Yumi and then back at the buildings that were surrounding them. “On it.” She said as she took aim. As she went to fire something felt off as it seemed to take a second or two longer for them to fire. “What the fuck did she do to me?” She said quietly. She watched as bits of building crumble down, creating more obstacles in between them and their pursuer. “Foreign chemical compound compromising neurological connection with Nanites.” A robotic voice said in her head. Even the voice of her AI sounded off, like it was slowed down on a recording. “Fucking fantastic.” Meara muttered as she continued to move after she fired. “Where the hell are we even going Lightning?” She inquired as she once again tried to fire off a blind salvo of blasts towards their pursuers only for them to once again be delayed in actually firing. And what was worse, it seemed like it was getting even slower. Too include the way everything was moving around her.
Meara wasn’t sure where they were heading or if Feng knew where she was guiding them. But she had to have faith that this was going to work out. It had too, she made a promise that she was going to make it back. There was no way in hell that she was going to die here tonight. But I’m he condition, she wasn’t sure that if that was a possibility if they ended having to indeed fight. She quickly pushed those thoughts out of her mind as she continued to run. No use in wasting brain space thinking about what ifs. Not when she had more pressing issues to deal with. Like her quirk not working right. Her hand balled up into a fist, a frustrated look on her face was hidden beneath her helmet. Meara hates to think that she was slowly becoming a potential liability. One that they all could ill afford.

From the looks of it, the three that fled her wrath were finally starting to get some sort of plan together. A static peel of sound drew Ishtar's ire, they were sending out a distress call of some kind though she couldn't make out what was being said through the static and whining. Ishtar winced and adjusted the earpiece away from the frequency most of the devices ASTA sold to UA operated at, someone must have updated them in house in order to prevent her from overhearing. Her eyes narrowed. How curious. She smiled a bit to herself as she strode through the hellscape that was the forty kilometers. The rioting Fuchu escapees rushing this way and that, but all staying out of the lady glowing like a great white beacon.
She rounded a corner and spotted her first sign of interference, rubble had been strewn across the alley. She tilted her head and snorted, stepping onto her hard light platform and beginning to walk over it. Another blast from afar, shot by the arm cannon of that one in armor, sent debris hurtling toward the villain. She snarled and whipped her hand out, white blades of light cutting through the stone and sending it crashing to the ground. Her eyes narrowed and lenses spun; but with the debris out of the way she couldn't make out her targets now. She knew they were close; though. Ishtar heard a shout of pain not far off, then another grunt, cries for help, no... she wouldn't find them by sound.
Her head tilted forward; fine, let it be a hunt.
Ishtar strode through the air along her light based platforms, keeping an eye out for the blasted surfaces of building and following the rubble. She knew they'd eventually change strategies. It was just a question of what and when. Her mind whirled through the possibilities, lenses spinning fast in her head. She whipped her head to the right and marched toward the nearest building, alighting on top with the gentle tinkling sound of shattering glass. She looked up, turning her head left and right before spotting the violet colored figure rising up over the rooftops of the buildings; searching for something.
Ishtar narrowed her eyes and sneered; "Found you,"
Gathering up her quirk she darted forward, not bothering with her steady walking pace now. This was a hunt, not a game. She stepped off of platform after platform, her body not strong enough to leap from building to building so she made her own path. Needles of light formed between her fingers while she moved in pursuit of her target, the lethal weapons glittering with radioactive light. She whipped her arm out, five needles hurtling through the air toward Feng. They grazed past her, though, just a little off course. Ishtar hadn't had to hit moving targets like this in a long time. The needles struck the nearest surface to Feng, turning the surface black and sending out waves of cold air that would only raise goosebumps.
"Are you just going to keep running, heroes?!" She cried, her voice twisted by the rebreather she wore over her face into a rasping, hateful sound. | TAG WORDS NOTES

Yumi felt a twinge of guilt for yelling at Meara but between her boldness and Fengs watching the two of them put their lives at risk like that… well suffice to say it was hardly pleasant. Even as she used her magnesis to aid Meara’s escape with her, keeping the other girl’s speed up, she turned her eyes over her shoulder to meet her gaze. “Sorry alright, just… I don’t exactly want any of us losing our lives before we’re actually heroes and brave standoffs like that are hardly the smart play to make.” Which meant she was still a little pissed at Feng and… well herself. Feng’s actions of rushing headfirst into the fight were arguably foolish and reckless… but it was more heroic than anything she could pull off right now.
Glancing back behind her every few turns it seemed clear to her that something was up with Meara. She knew from experiencing joint classes at times over the past two years she likely had some targeting AI that helped her out, but the hesitation between raising her arm and firing seemed… off. She didn’t really have the time to question it but it was something to keep in mind. After a few more turns she became a bit staggered, realizing Ishtar, if she was as powerful as she seemed, should have been causing issues for them by now… she slowed to a stop in an empty street, wondering where she was.
… probably the rooftops based on the sudden call out yelling. “Feng’s in trouble.” She hissed almost through her teeth, shaking her head in frustration. Feng probably woulda been long gone now and she was potentially slowed down just by carrying what could be, literally, dead weight… “Right. What I said about standing off being stupid? Gonna have to eat my words on that!”
Still having a hold on Meara’s metallic suit (one she could break easily if she struggled enough) Yumi started to fly up to the rooftops and landed with a burst of sparks between Feng and Sonya, placing Meara down on the rooftop behind her and meeting the radioactive villains gaze, wondering if she can just… intimidate her into backing off. She was powerful sure but she was this big bad behind the curtain. Maybe she was hitting her limits.
“I reeeeeeally advise you give up the chase right now…” Yumi tensed her arms to her side, her hands slowly curling into tight fists as streams of electrical energy arced off from her body. She hadn’t really been in a fight yet today so she had PLENTY of energy to burn here, her streams curling off the edges of the buildings and into the streets below. As she felt her currents find something, she tensed harder, catching them in her electro-magnetic grasp and glaring Ishtar down as she lifted several cars up off the streets around their buildings, they were an intense weight to bare and her forehead was sizzling as her sweat was immediately vaporized by her electricity, growling through grit teeth. “HEAVILY advise it…!”
She didn’t want a fight… but if anyone was ready to give a villain a run for their money while her teemates escaped she felt it was here. Feng was an up close fighter and could suffer this woman’s weird decaying quirk. Meara had something up with her more generally… leaving Yumi. Strong quirk or no she was a long range fighter with a lot of mobility and nothing up with her quirk right now. As much as it bothered her to even take this approach she was arguably the best person for the task.

Left...Right...Kick...Land...Kick…
Feng’s mind was divided between the various things going on that she put a lot of her focus on defending the group and herself. The goons wouldn't stop coming as she lept from roof to roof as she did her best to keep the Hero on her back comfortable. Her eyes using whatever stuff she had on hand to keep the hero hanging on. But she felt something was watching her...it was a familiar feeling as she felt this sort of pressure before. The feeling of being hunted and something was coming, there was no signs or even a clue was to why but in her mind's eye she felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand as she saw something hit the area near her. It was close and it came from somewhere nearby. To be honest, had she kept moving forward….well she doesn't want to think of what would happen if she were hit by that shot.
Fear was all she could feel in the very pit of her gut as she felt time go still as she hesitated to turn around. However Yumi flew up with Meara in hand as she landed behind her as she stood there frozen for a moment. Her voice was all she could hear as it confirmed her fears without a doubt as the villain was near them and she was the marksman who nearly shot her. Several cars off to the corner of her eye began to float to her level as she stood there. She knows who can do this but she was still worried about the hero on her back.
Thoughts in her head debated on the best choice of action right now as she needed to find some paramedics for the hero now. Her teammates found the culprit and she was helpless as she was the one carrying the hero in hand. A frog in her throat could be felt as she tried to speak but the sense of fear prevented her as she was in range of the villain's quirk. But a glimmer of hope came as she heard a response from a unit that was about 30 kilometers west. ‘Typhoon...Dragoon...Copy….that….red-...at...caf…”, it was a place that she can easily figure out where they were holed up at as everything was going to hell. The hero on her back was deteriorating as she found herself in the worst situation possible. She can cover 30 kilometers without issue but that's without an injured person on her back and not when her fellow students are facing down a villain.
“I...I”, was all that came out of her mouth as she slowly turned around. The situation was as dire as she can see Yumi having a bit of issue with the cars and warning the villain. A burning feeling welled up in her mind as she recalled why she did the thing she did and consequences of getting caught or not saving the hero. She recalled the fights she had against villains before and how much they compared. The danger was comparable to those times and it was just as heavy as before. The feeling of sadness...the feeling of rage...the feeling of worthlessness...all of it came to head as she screamed out in rage as it echoed through the area. The sheer action would of course cause some eyes to glance towards her as she calmed down. “Typhoon Dragoon here! I’ll meet up with you in about five minutes tops, prepare a stretcher and medics for the hero..”, she answered with a newfound confidence in her tone before she turned to her allies.
“That felt good….Lightning,Knight. I can trust you two that you can keep her busy while I get this guy to safety? I’ll try to see if I can come back to back yall up…”, She asked the two of them as she got ready to make a break for it. The villain was still in plain view and she needed to make sure her allies could do it. But she did glare at the general direction of the villain with a pissed off glare. The look of “Lets see what you fucking got” painted her expression.

Meara let out a yelp as suddenly she was pulled up with Yumi onto the roof. Meara had always been nervous with people who had powers similar to Yumi’s, electrical and magnetism quirks really messed with her own quirk. “Hey Lightning I appreciate the assist in getting up here, but can you ease up on the magnetism shite please.” She said as she showed her arm and the Nanites essentially freaking out and not reforming properly. “You sending electrical impulses into my suit to pull me like that makes my lil buggers flip their lids.” She explained. Meara wasn’t mad at Yumi, honestly speaking she didn’t know what was going on with her quirk to begin with, ever since that mist was sprayed in her face everything felt slow and off. The feeling was slowly fading but everything she did was a split second behind what she was visualizing or thinking it was.
Meara moved to the edge of the building and looked over to see the villainess and their henchmen continuing to pursue them. She heard Feng yell to them that she was gonna get the fallen hero to medical attention and that she hoped the two of them could hold their pursuers off until she came back with help. “Sure lass, sure.” Meara responded as she looked over at Yumi. The other girl was looking like she was reluctantly ready for a fight as she eyed the big baddie and warned them that a fight would result in only poor results for them. That was a major fucking bluff to say the least. Meara still had a bit of fight in her still, even without the strange chemical compound in her system however Meara was still tired and a bit beat up from the previous brawl she was in that night.
Meara let out a low chuckle that turned into a bit of a wicked cackle as she looked over at her friend. “So Lightning how do those words taste from just a moment ago?” She asked, smiling underneath her helmet. “I mean I’m all for holding them off until back up hopefully arrives or we decide to bail. But I wasn’t expecting you to decide to do it.” She continued as she felt a familiar sensation flood her subconscious, similarly to what happened at the sports festival. “Not the prettiest hill to die on my dear Lightning. But hell we all go to meet God eventually.” She said in a weirdly light and casual tone. She looked over at her other arm and after some straining, the Nanites on that side reconfigured themselves into a second cannon. “Ok you dumb arseholes! I’d listen to the lady! Trust me when I tell you it ain’t worth the arse whooping.” She said her dual cannons now glowed as she pointed at them. Meara knew that this armor configuration would drain her energy quicker, but she also knew that if they were going to be fighting, she was going to need the additional fire power, potential injuries be damned.”

[attr="class","oneword1"] [attr="class","fromyou1"] @name Lets have ourselves a little fun~
you have my attention, dearie
[attr="class","itsover1"]Ishtar stood atop the roof, her hair fluttering around her. She crossed her arms behind her back while the criminals climbing up the building came to a stop. The girl before her, her red hair fluttering about her. Yumi Tasukai. Ishtar's eyes narrowed and her head tilted to the right, amusement glittering in them. The five cars lifted off the ground crackled with the electricity she was giving off to keep them aloft. Ishtar's eye's clicked in her head while her breath came out in rattling raspy crackles through the ventilator on her face. She glowed with an unholy white light that seemed to leave little spots of ice wherever she touched. Her eyes shifted to the purple haired girl. She knew that one too. Feng Yao. How amusing. Two of her sponsored students in one place.
"He's going to die," Ishtar's cold voice rasped out, directed at them within hearing distance for the first time. It was so cold, bereft of any feeling, kindness, or mercy. "The wound was quite fatal," She said, striding forward. "Go if you want, leave your friends behind," She hissed, taking her first step towards Yumi. The girl in the armor was up next. She seemed... unsteady somehow? It was odd. She tried to take a moment to observe her to try to pick apart what the issue was but the situation would not allow her to remain still for more than a few more moments. She turned her gaze to Yumi again.
"Lightning, I know you. Curved Lightning," Ishtar held up her hand as light formed into glass, then cracked apart into a dozen tiny needles. They spinned and wirled over her palm before dissipating, she looked up at the vehicles the girl was about to throw. "Lets see how you've improved since the sports festival!" She rasped, whipping her hands out as three panes of hard-light glass formed between her and her targets, ribbons of white light lashed out from her fingertips, lancing toward the vehicles and attempting to rip them to pieces before they fell atop her.
"None of you imbeciles get in my way! Continue your escape!" She bore her teeth behind the mask as she ordered the escaped criminals away; "You've done your part, leave the rest to me."

Yumi grit her teeth in frustration, but surprisingly not at the villainess they were facing. A sharp glare over her shoulder pointed her frustration at Meara instead. She could start listing the numerous reasons that she'd chosen to fight and Meara's lack of reliability right now was one of them. She knew from earlier that something was up with her aim or her quirk or... something! And she needed to make sure she and Feng got away. Push came to shove she knew she alone could outrun the villain, but if Meara and Feng got lost enough in the city streets then they would no longer be an extra element Yumi had to worry about.
"Maybe you didn't get the idea Nanknight but I need you BOTH-!" She slammed down a car between Ishtar and Meara even as the girl readied her cannons, and tossed the car backwards towards the escape route Feng was taking. She tried to find a good balance where Meara would be forced back but without hurting her too much, just trying to make the message as physical as possible as she continued. "To run! If I'm gonna be eating my words on this I plan to dine alone!" She chimed in, turning her eyes back to Ishtar. Feng was carrying dead weight. Whatever issues Meara was having made HER dead weight as far as Yumi was concerned, and she was already starting to get a stress headache from how much risk she was putting herself in with the intent of helping them both get to safety.
Eyes back on Ishtar, if Meara went against her advice there wasn't much she could do to stop her. Briefly Yumi panicked at being recognize but calmed swiftly as she realized it wasn't really all that unusual for someone to recognize her given the sports festival... any smart villain would be researching the next generation of heroes afterall. She cracked her knuckles against her own palm and thumb in each hand, watching Ishtar's moves carefully and just focusing on putting the brakes on her.
Her hands flowed down and the cars rushed infront of her. They were turn through quite easily but Yumi put all 5 between her and Ishtar in a line. Once one was cut through the next slowed the attacks and the next and the next. When Yumi felt her magnetic control become unstable on the fourth car, she released it entirely, focusing entirely on the fifth car. She dropped down on one knee, pushing her arms out infront of her, tight fists with extended thumbs linked together. Extreme positive charge up one arm, extreme negative charge back down the other, hissing as the connecting line of her thumbs burned immensely as the 5th car started to fall ahead of her.
"Lets see you try this...!"
She'd never railgunned such a large metal object before and with all the non-metal parts inside and her own lack of training it wasn't a perfect shot, but the car's own size would help compensate for the failure, the vehicle barrelling through the air at full force towards Ishtar as Yumi pulled in her thumbs, breaking the circuit and firing off the car ahead of her, her ponytail blasting apart as the kick-back force shattered it's binding and almost forced her back.
