Jessie was surprised as to how many students at U.A actually wanted to intern with her. She had been a Pro for less than a month and had no feats or relationship with the school like some of her colleagues and yet this was the 4th request she had received in less than a week. She couldn't help but feel just the tiniest bit happy that even though she was such a novice she was getting such a positive response.[break][break]The girl who had signed up was named Mizuki and she was a second year at the school. Upon reading more into her and her reasoning for signing up Jessie was surprised that she had signed up for...well everything! It was a bit flattering to be tasked with a job such as this one and this feeling could be seen on her face as she walked up to the gate of the school. She had decided that compared to the other interns she would do something a little more conventional and utilize the schools' facilities given the scope of what Mizuki wanted to accomplish. Flashing her I.D as a pro she took out her phone to figure out where the heck 'Ground Alpha' was as that was the agreed-upon meeting place.[break][break]Taking a moment to ask one of the students on campus she found herself moving in the right direction as she turned a corner and was met by a gate that was a passage to a large grassy field. Assuming she would get lost as she had never been here before she was a solid 30 minutes early and decided that she would take a seat near the gate and eat part of her lunch. Given the type of training they would be doing she wanted to keep up her energy! Taking it upon herself to people watch she kept an eye out for Mizuki since unlike the others she had actually remembered to keep her application on hand so she could recognize her among the sea of students going about their lives.

It was weird for Mizuki to have to go through so many teachers. But if she truly wanted to find her place in the hero world, this only way she knew to go about it. So when she saw the details for the next signup, she couldn't refuse it. Quirk control, tactical combat, and, her personal favorite, meditation. Speaking of which, she needed to remember to sign that up as an official club for the school. But that not here nor now. What was important was meeting her teacher face to face.
As she made her way to the location that was described on the signup, Mizuki thought about the past few months. She thought about the Redhorn rampage and how she played a part in it. She thought about why she wanted to be a hero which she still had no reason for. But mostly she thought about Yang. A complicated relationship at a complicated time. Was she supposed to feel this way? Wasn't she suppose to be more disciplined and more self-assured? She wasn't sure anymore.
Maybe Murakami-sensei could help her. This was the name of the teacher that would be teaching her today. This was Mizuki's first time hearing of her and she wasn't sure how she truly acted around students. Being an intern for pros wasn't so bad. They all had different ways of doing things. But Mizuki was trying to find the right way or so to speak. As she entered the area where she was supposed to meet, she saw the young woman standing in the area alone.
She was really pretty and had long flowing light pink hair with blue eyes. Her facial features were soft and feminine yet with a certain edge to them as though she had been through a lot in her life. But her presence was very calming and relaxing. It felt weird to Mizuki. Where other teachers felt so serious and straightforward, this one seem to be more... mellow. "Hello," Mizuki greeted quietly and somewhat of a deadpan tone. She bowed with a bow of respect to her new sensei as it was customary in her family to do. "I am Mizuki Haymaker. I am here for the lesson. It is very nice to meet you."

Almost perfectly on time, Jessie's eyes settled on a girl who looked similar to the picture she was given. She was surprised once again with how tall most of the students were at U.A. From what her profile said she was only 15 and yet a good 3-4 inches taller than Jessie who was fully grown and more than 10 years older than her. She quickly put her partially eaten lunch back in her bag and rose to her feet. Giving Mizuki a soft smile and accompanying it with a bow she decided that this time she would attempt to just mentally communicate with her. She seemed like someone who wouldn't be too caught off guard by something this unusual given her disposition [break][break]"It's a pleasure to meet you Mizuki! Sorry for the sudden voice in your head because of my quirk I'm actually mute and aside from sign language this is the only way I can speak to you." picking up her bag and putting it over her shoulder she continued "You can call me whatever you like Jessie, Murakami-san, Umeboshi whatever you're most comfortable with! You signed up for a lot of what I have to offer right? I got a pass for full use of the facilities on your campus so what would you like to start with?" they had plenty of time to cover all of this but as Jessie had posted in her offering of internships she wanted to tailor the experience to the individual rather than focusing on a specific training regime. "You'll also have to direct me around campus since I've actually never been here before" she added laughing silently in an attempt to make Mizuki feel more comfortable and relax a bit. She seemed like the type to take things seriously all the time and Jessie was more inclined to take it easy and just have a good time. Hopefully, Mizuki would have an easy time opening up a bit during their time together.

Mizuki suddenly heard a voice in her mind coming from somewhere. At first, she thought she imagined it at first. Until she heard it again and saw a smiling Murakami-sensei looking at her, nodding to say it was her. Her voice was so... relaxing. For the first time in a long while, she felt some of her self-doubts melt away. Like everything in her life wasn't her fault. 'Mizuki, are you okay?' Tsuki said in her mind. 'I am not sure,' Mizuki thought to her spirit. 'I feel relaxed and... Wait, can she hear you too?' Mizuki wondered. She still wasn't sure if Tsuki was real or not, but what if Jessie could read her mind? Would she think she was some kind of freak?
Maybe she could see her failures in the Redhorn incident. She thought she was helping but she felt like she made things worse. Or that she was losing her chance to learn from her favorite hero. Ever since, Mizuki felt like she was looking at her as though she was some type of failure. Mizuki hated herself for that. Or maybe it was the fact that her parents' shadow felt suffocating to her. Or maybe dealing with her father's secret life as a vigilante. Mizuki tried very hard to hid that thought away from her instructor. Maybe she was just reading too much into all this.
"I am not sure where to start," Mizuki said calmly as she sat in the grass, Indian style. "To be honest, I wanted to work on my meditation more and..." Mizuki paused for a second. Something felt weird here. She was never this relaxed. Sure Murakami-Sensei was nice, but this felt way too chill. "Why do I feel so relaxed around you?" Mizuki asked confused. Mizuki was more high strung than this. It felt like everything else had no effect on her mood.

Unlike her other experiences with interns and apprenticeships Jessie was much more prepared for the potential indecisiveness that a lot of her students came out with. Mizuki, according to her file, was no exception as some of the more 'critical' notes by her teachers were that she could be a little high strung, doubtful of her own ability, and generally quiet. It was for these reasons that she had chosen a much more casual meeting spot and hadn't really prepared anything in advance as she did for the others. Her logic behind this being Mizuki struck her as someone who would perform better if things were done without a script. She had no real basis for this, but her intuition when it came to figuring out motivations and feelings of others was pretty spot on most of the time. [break][break]As her new student took a seat on the ground Jessie straightened herself up and made sure to prepare herself if this was where they would begin their exercise. Since it was out of the way she didn't mind given that they most likely wouldn't be dealing with interruptions from other students coming around. "Meditation is something I specialize in and...hm?" she found herself caught off guard given how unprompted this statement was. She did get that she gave off a relaxing vibe which was only somewhat unintentional given that she would use her aura at times to subtly influence her perception if need be. This time wasn't one of those and so she responded "Hmm...I don't really know why? I've spent most of my life trying to use my quirk to help others and I spent a lot of time in university getting my masters in Psychology." she didn't want to come off as a braggart just wanted to explain her background to make her new student feel more comfortable.[break][break]"Do you want to tell me a little bit about yourself Mizuki?" she shifted in order to match Mizuki sitting Indian style as well "Or would you rather we just start the meditation first? I know you were also interested in quirk control and combat. It's your internship! Whatever you'd like is fine with me" with a soft smile she moved her bag over slightly in order to give herself room to work if Mizuki affirmed that she wanted to start meditation right here and now.

Have Mizuki been that stressed out that she thought it was this woman's quirk? The feeling of needing to get everything off her mind was probably coming to head. Maybe because she had been around everyone who had to be serious about... everything. Or maybe she had been so focused on being perfect for everyone. The need to be free from feeling responsible or at fault for mistakes was a freedom she was desperately looking for. And now here was a teacher who was just... chilled.
"Sorry for the awkward question," she replied to her sensei for the day. "I have just been really stressed out and... Never mind that. Forget I even asked." Mizuki attempted to change gears and get focused back on task. "To be honest, there is nothing interesting I could say about me. I recently found out my quirk is different from my brother's. But other than that, I guess I am just trying to find my place in all this."
The fears of being honest and open with people had always been Mizuki's struggles. She didn't want to show weakness. She didn't want to show her faults. She wanted to be the one everyone depended on. But was that really what she wanted as a hero? She didn't know what she wanted as a hero. 'Let your guard down.' Tsuki's words rang in the back of her mind as though pushing her to a truth she couldn't see. "Meditation would be fine," Mizuki said quietly. "And after that, we could go from there."

Jessie had to reign in her eagerness when she was almost sure Mizuki was about to share something about herself. "Oh no no it's no problem! I'm here to support you and help you and...well my life and motivations aren't really a secret even among other heroes." smiling in an attempt to ease Mizuki's reluctance to share her inner thoughts "I know we just met each other, but I'm here as much as you need me! I know your experience with some professional heroes and their schedules might be a little more hectic and for me, the benefit of being so new makes it easier to schedule a time for everyone who needs it" she nodded to affirm visually that she was being as genuine as she possibly could be "What's been stressing you out?" she truly didn't have a clue as to what Mizuki could possibly be dealing with but if her experience with other students was anything to go by she was sure if she shared it would be much more complicated than one would think[break][break]"Oh and you don't have to answer if you're not comfortable! For now, I'll just guide you through meditation? I'm assuming that you haven't done much given how busy you must be at a school like U.A" presumptuous perhaps but she felt it necessary to take charge even if Mizuki was experienced as the whole point was to make her feel at ease "All you need to do is relax your muscles. Start from your toes and rhythmically work your way up to your head. Oh and try to slow down your breathing as much as you can in the process." Jessie closed her eyes and began to do just as she instructed with little difficulty as she had performed this exact meditation hundreds of times before. It was beginner level for sure, but just like most mindfulness techniques, it was easy to learn and yet difficult to master.[break][break]Jessie would user her aura abilities to enter a deep state of meditation as a wave of purple began to oscillate from her center as it flowed out like waves eventually covering her entire body from head to toe. It was silent and yet if Mizuki happened to be looking in her direction she would be able to perceive it as tangible. Lowering her mental voice to an almost whisper she 'spoke' clearly to Mizuki "You're more than welcome to talk if you want. Most people think meditation means that you need to be completely silent but in reality, it's more getting your body into a state of relaxation." regardless of how long it took Jessie was determined to bring Mizuki up to her level...even if it meant that she needed to cheat a bit by using her quirk more directly on her.

Mizuki thought about it for a second. There were so many things stressing her out as of late. Her performance during the Rampage. The Fuchu Riots. Her father being a vigilante. The development of her powers. Her relationship with Yang. "I guess, in a way, I don't know what I am supposed to be doing or if it's worth me being here," she said very quietly with a sad look on her face. "I thought if I could be focused and disciplined, then there would be no issues with me being a great hero. But the more I look at it, I feel... confused. Am I disciplined? Am I worthy of being a hero? What is my purpose in being here? I figured I could use meditation as my mother taught me, but I am not so sure."
This felt weird to get off her chest. Mizuki had been holding it in for so long. Mostly because she wanted to be strong for her brother. But at the same time, she felt like that was not the reason. There had to be more. Even with her meditation, she was not finding the answers. Maybe Jessie-sensei could help her.
She listened to her teacher's instructions. It was the same instructions as what her mother would give her when they meditated, and lately, she had been sharing the same with other students. It felt weird to Mizuki to be back in the position of a student when it came to it. But maybe that was the problem. She was so focused on everyone else, she had not taken the time to do her meditation.
She watched as her teacher glowed with a purple aura. She was so in sync with what she was doing. Mizuki wondered what she had to go through to get to that point of meditation. Mizuki slowly closed her eyes and repeated her chant that her mother taught her. "Find your storm. Look for the center of it. Find..."
In her mind
Mizuki opened her eyes. She was in her mind. Her mental temple. She looked up to where Tsuki usually sat. The moon goddess smiled on her but something was different. Was she... fading.
"What is happening to you?!" Mizuki exclaimed in a panic. Usually, when she came here, everything was so calm. But something was off. She hadn't noticed until now, but something was different.
The fading blue giant pointed to her left. Mizuki looked and saw what appeared to be a giant hurricane that had run rampant through her mental temple. It crackled with electricity, it surged with rain and water, and for a second, it felt cold. "The answers you are looking for are in there," Tsuki said, her voice sounded like static.
Mizuki didn't know why, but she felt the need to walk towards it. She felt that what she was looking for was in there. She had to know. Was this her storm? Was this the problem she had let build up and left unchecked? The moment she put her hand in the raging storm, she was gone.

Jessie closed her own eyes as her senses began to dull. Having obtained an almost mastery over the art of meditation it didn't take long until she opened her eyes and found herself in her own mental hideaway. This was a space she had crafted over her years of meditation. It was essentially a small temple that had steps leading up to the top where there was a stone plate precariously placed on a small pole. The entire structure was surrounded by several roaring waterfalls which were not the gentle sort of waterfalls you might see in a stately home garden, they were the kind where torrents of water are poured over rocks hard enough to cause some serious damage if you landed on them, then swirl in a plunge pool below deep enough to drown you if you survived the fall. From the bottom it was awe-inspiring, from the top it was brutal and terrifying showing the great balance and control that Jessie herself held over her own mental state. [break][break] Just as always she began to climb the steps to spot she would sit when her aura connecting with Mizuki's own caused the sound of thunder to sound all over her own mental space. Without hesitation, she would follow the sound as she crossed the bridge between her own mind and Mizuki's appearing several feet above her as she took the scope of the scene around her. "This is what she's been going through?" she thought to herself as she gently floated down and landed beside Mizuki. She looked down at her own body which was ethereal now due to her being in someone else's mental space and tried to place her hand on Mizuki's shoulder which phased through it. "I can't face this for you. In fact, I can't even touch anything in here so I'll just have to support you as you face...that." she pointed towards the storm and waited for Mizuki to make her next move. [break][break]

Mizuki knew this too well. She had seen it many times during her meditations and being here usually brought her clarity. Something was different this time. Something just felt out of place. She was standing in the center of her storm, the swirling winds moving faster than usual. Lightning crackled in the sky above the swirling funnel as hail and rain came down in sheets in the center of where she stood. This was more chaotic than usual. More... unstable.
She looked to her left to see Jessie-sensei standing next to her, a mere ghostly image to the young Haymaker, stating that she could only provide guidance and nothing else. Meaning she would have to tackle what came out of the storm on her own. Mizuki took a deep breath prepared for what was to come. The broken voice of Tsuki sounded throughout the storm, overtaking the sound of the thunder.
"We have done this before," the voice said, loud enough for both Mizuki and Jessie to hear. "This time though is different. It is time you came face to face with your issues. You have been running away from a part of yourself. You have always envisioned yourself as me or your mother. You even use her martial art when you know it does not fit you. You feel that you are suppose disciplined and the one that shoulders the burden. But is that really who you are?" The swirling winds became images, pictures of Mizuki's life for her and Jessie to see. 'Where did it start? To find the answer we need to look through the memories' Tuski asked. "Maybe here?"
An image floated down to them on a cloud, showing a young five-year-old Mizuki on the living room floor coloring pictures in her drawing book. Her parents sat on the couch, watching their young daughter hum to herself and their son running around the living room pretending to be a superhero. They had just got done telling them about the stories of the great Kami Trio and was talking about a comment Mizuki made to be like Tsukiyomi. "Mizuki is definitely Tsukiyomi," her father argued with her mother playfully. "Look at how calm she is compared to Desmoshi. And well behaved. She is definitely just like the Moon Goddess in the family stories."
Mizuki's mother looked at her daughter, a small smile on her face. She knew her daughter loved the moon goddess but she knew that Mizuki had something... more. Mizuki wanted to be just like her mother, but her mother wanted her to be her own person... the person her mother saw her to be. "No, I don't think so dear. I see something else in her. A storm raging to be let out. She is Susanoo through and through. You just haven't seen it yet."
The cloud blew away as another one came down. This time young Mizuki was lying in her bed. "Momma, read it again. I loved how the brave Tsukiyomi fought the evil demons to save her village!" Mizuki's mother laughed, the excitement of her daughter filled her with joy. "True. But she had Susanoo and Amaterasu to help her out. No one can do something alone."
Mizuki looked at her mother with a puzzled look on her face. "But she was so disciplined and focused than the other two. I want to be just like her when I grow up." Mizuki always wanted to Tsukiyomi at times she thought her mother was just like the moon goddess. But her mother gave another small laugh. "True. But without Ametarasu's strength or Susanoo's speed, she would have never been able to help the people. She spent so much time being what the people wanted her to be, but her siblings did not care about what others thought of them. They were doing it because they define themselves. They wanted to be free to choose their destiny." She looked at her daughter. "Sometimes I think you are more Susanoo than Tsukiyomi. There is a storm inside of you that is waiting to be released for all to see." She pulled the covers over her daughter and kissed her forehead. "You just haven't seen it yet."
Mizuki remembered these memories. She was always wanting to be like Tsukiyomi from the stories, but her mother always called her little 'Susanoo'. "Back then you couldn't see it," Tsuki said to her as the cloud floated away. "But your mother saw it. A part of you that wanted to be free. You were so young back then and impressionable. You wanted to be this fierce, disciplined warrior who was always in control. But that's not you. And deep down you always knew. So why does one hide a part of themselves to be something else?" Mizuki looked confused for a moment pondering the words of her inner self. "What do you mean?" Mizuki asked. "I will show you," Tsuki responded as another cloud floated down. The voice spoke to Jessie. "Feel free to add anything if you like. You might cannot help her, but your words will be enough."

Understanding her place in all of this Jessie mostly took a backseat and watched silently as Mizuki looked through her memories. She truly didn't want to pry, but she felt that because Mizuki's inner mind was comfortable enough to display them here that she would be okay. Instead of watching the memories play, she was mostly focused on Mizuki herself and her reactions to all of this. She still didn't know much about her but was curious if her ultra-serious nature was a direct effect of her childhood. [break][break]As this finished play Jessie waved to try and get Mizuki's attention "Mizuki? Are you alright?" her first and biggest concern was to make sure Mizuki was alright. Even though she was able to effectively dive into her psyche she still held a responsibility to focus on her intern and protect her even from herself. She was waiting on the younger girls reaction to all of this as ultimately it was her own memories and perhaps she would have something insightful to say so that Jessie could really help her properly. "I'm fine," Mizuki said shakily to Jessie-sensei. But the lightning that struck across said otherwise. She was scared. She never had been this deep in meditation before. Well, she never really faced her memories in this way. Mostly because when she meditates, she usually focused on the things that were happening currently. This was something different. It was like a buildup of things that Mizuki had been ignoring, now releasing in the full rage of a storm.
Tsuki walked up behind her, the eight-foot giant taking a knee next to Mizuki and Jessie. "You can try to lie to your sensei, but I know you better than yourself," she said, pulling another cloud from the storm. "I was there for your triumphs and your failures. Your confusion and anger. Your fears and doubts." The cloud began to swirl again, showing a new image.
The cloud revealed another seven-year-old Mizuki, looking huffy at the older man in front of her. "I don't want to learn the sword, Daddy!" little Mizuki yelled at her father. "I want to do what Mommy does!" The older man took a deep breath, showing patience and understanding. "I know you don't like it," her father said, picking up the wooden stick. "But it fits you much better than Muay Thai. Every Haymaker has their own fighting style. Yours is more suited to swords than Muay Thai."
Little Mizuki wanted none of it. "I don't want to be what you want me to be. I want to be what I want to be!" Her father stood there a second. He kneeled down in front of his daughter and put his hand on her shoulder. "Mizuki," he said, looking into her eyes, "is that what you want to really be? Or is that what you want to be because people tell you to be?" Mizuki looked at her father confused as he continued. "Muay Thai was something I taught you because I see your mother's discipline in it and something I wanted you to do. But when you sword fight, you look so... free. Maybe you should do the things that make you feel free... not what everyone else wants you to do." He stood up. "If Muay Thai will make you happy, I will continue to teach you that."
The cloud floated away. "Even your father knew what you truly wanted back then," Tsuki said bringing another cloud. "He wanted you to be free and happy. But maybe negative influences took you away from that. Not from your parents. But from others." The cloud swirled into a new image of eight-year-old Mizuki on a playground. She was on the ground crying as a group of girls surrounded her. "Freak! Freak!" they chanted at her. Her brother wasn't there; he was at home with a cold that day. Mizuki cried harder. They didn't know her. They didn't understand her. But she felt angry. "LEAVE! ME! ALONE!" she yelled ice sprouting from the ground. The children ran away in fear, and Mizuki did not notice that her quirk had triggered as it melted away.
"Back then, you didn't realize your potential," Tsuki said, blowing away the cloud. "Everyone's words cause so much confusion. You didn't know what to do. You even went so far to think that you and your brother had the same quirk, only to supress your own." Mizuki shook her head. "My past is not the problem!" yelled Mizuki, the thunder sounding off with her fustration. "I know who I am! I just don't know what to do!" She looked to Jessie-sensei for help. "What am I suppose to do?" she asked her.

It was surreal being able to watch the memories of someone else like this. Jessie had messed around with her quirk for a long time, but had never dived into someone's mind like this. She was frequently asked if she could read other minds and always said no and yet in this way she was able to do that? Her eyes widened as she witnessed the sight of young Mizuki fighting with her own identity and her eyes flicked back and forth as she watched Mizuki relieve those memories in real-time. As her inner turmoil came to a head and she asked Jessie what to do she took a deep breath before she answered. [break][break] "I can't tell you what you need to do but..." she used her powers in order to form a sword out of her own aura and flipped it so the handle as facing Mizuki "This is what you're inner self is telling you. Take it and use it to see what you can really do. Beat that storm" Jessie pointed upwards to the clouds above them as the sky rattled and sparked with thunder and lighting. She was interested to see what Mizuki could really do with a weapon as everything on her file she had read showed that she was more focused on using her quirk to perform martial arts feats.[break][break]

Mizuki understood her teacher's words. She was on her own. She couldn't rely on others to solve the problems on the inside. Not that she couldn't have just talked to anyone about her feeling and insecurities. But this was different. She literally had to fight her problems head-on. Because by the end of the day, only she could come to terms with the resolution of this meditation. She had to come to terms with that these were the problems in her life and only she can accept it.
As Mizuki took the sword in hand, Tsuki spoke once more, vanishing and reappearing a couple of feet in front of her. “Your teacher is right,” Tsuki continued, the storm gathering her very slowly. “Only you can beat this storm within your life. Only you can beat me.” The clouds covered her completely, obscuring her view. “Only you can beat you,” she said ominously.
Mizuki’s eyes were wide with realization as the cloud formed and shaped around her inner self. Lightning and thunder could be heard throughout the distance, a signal that the story of her life was coming. Mizuki watched the clouds as they showed more pictures of her life. Watching her brother rampaging through the middle school, powerless to do anything about it. Her hearing at the disciplinary committee for her actions in the Redhorn Riot. Her near-death experience when she was stabbed through the chest by a villain at the riots. Her father in his vigilante outfit with her mother crying behind him. All these visions of her life in front of her, taking form with Tsuki.
The clouds moved away, rejoining its place in the storm. It revealed a black-haired woman standing before her with a tinge of purple in her hair. Her blue eyes show determination and sadness. Her outfit consisted of a black sleeveless shirt that draped down into sort of a dress with white capri pants with metal patches. Her black blade glistened as a flash of thunder struck the sky. Her high heels clacked against the ground as she walked closer to Mizuki.
“Tsuki?” Mizuki said. She held the blade up in front of her, the feeling of something out of place creeping into her soul. “I was never Tsuki,” the woman spoke, raising her blade with one hand. “I am you. I have always been to you. I am what you can be if you accept freedom in your life. I am what you always wanted to be. I am your Susanoo. You are Susanoo.”
In a blaze of speed and electricity, the spirit was in front of her, bringing her sword down upon Mizuki. It was everything Mizuki could do to just block it in enough time. Her swordsman training has been rusty for some time. “Can’t use your sword properly?” the woman taunted. “You say you know who you are. But you spent so much of your time blocking who you should be.” She delivered a kick to Mizuki’s side sending her skidding to her left a few feet away.
Mizuki coughed up blood as she slammed against the wall of the storm, as though as an invisible barrier kept her from going in. She raised her sword again, slowly climbing to her feet to face… herself. “Fire Breathing. First Form-” She didn’t get to finish as her alter ego was in front of her again, delivering a right hook to the jaw. She was sent flying again on to the other side.
“That’s not your form,” the woman said. “You try to be something you are not. And now, it has hindered your true form.” Mizuki stood up again. “Earth Breathing,” she said shakily, gripping the pommel of her sword. “First-.” Another hit to the face made her fall to the ground once more. “Are you going to keep lying to yourself?” The woman had enough. This was going nowhere. “Will you keep forcing yourself to be something you are not? Pretending to be some disciplined woman when you actually crave freedom? Is that the hero you really want to be so bad? So others won’t judge you for being weak?”
When she got no answer from her. She raised her blade preparing to deal with the final blow, charging it with a dangerous amount of electricity. “Fine then. I will just kill you then. And when I take your place, maybe Yang will love me more than you.” Mizuki looked at the woman. This was not how she viewed herself- was it? The woman in front of her was more sure of herself, willing to take risks, confident in her abilities.
She looked up at the wall of clouds, the visions of her life swirling in front of her. The moments she spent with her brother, no matter how annoying he was. His promise to her while she was in the hospital bed, healing from her wounds. Berker, her first friend here at UA, having lunch with him. And Yang. The days they spent together. The times they talk. The nights she cried next to Mizuki, waiting for her to recover from her wounds. Their first kiss. No, she can’t let it end here.
“I know who I am,” Mizuki said quietly. The woman stopped her blade to listen. “I know who I am. And I know who I want to be. I want to be next to Desmoshi when he becomes number one. I want to make friends and feel free of what others think of me, just like Berker. I want.. To be with Yang. To stand next to her. To talk to her. To love her. She is… the center of my storm.” A new life came into Mizuki’s eyes. “I want to be a hero who is free!”
At her declaration, a red blade came from the storm, taking a slash at the woman. It caused her to lose focus and she had to jump back, a smile on her face. A hand held out for Mizuki to take. She knew this hand. She took it and looked at the five beings in front of her. “Desmoshi? Berker? Mom and Dad?” She looked over to the woman who held the red blade, her red eyes looking into hers. “Yang.”

In her years of experience diving into the functions of her own quirk, Jessie had never experienced something as crazy as this. She knew previously that she could dive into the mental state of those around her with permission, but in her years of consensual practice of this technique she had never run into someone with as much emotional turmoil as Mizuki had. She watched from a distance as several unfamiliar people to herself popped up in Mizuki's mind as the storm grew closer. It looked like it would be almost time for the final confrontation! If only there was something she could do to help...unless... [break][break]Trying to do something completely unfamiliar to her and completely experimental Jessie began to glow brighter as a thread shot from her over to Mizuki attaching itself to her back. Gritting her teeth and clenching her fists Jessie began to increase the size of this thread as her own body began to deteriorate from the bottom upwards. "Mizuki! I'm transferring all my power I have in this form to you. I'll be waiting on the outside!" the transfer was working and as it had finally accelerated enough that Jessie's last vision in Mizuki's mind was watching her new student stand up for herself before she found herself back in the real world sitting in the same position as she had previously..[break][break]
