A short trip spent, one that was reduced to private matters. An unmarked car, white in color, a contrast to the black paint of the Ketsujo Fleet. She traveled, sitting in the backseat along with her newest pupil, Jess. They would be driven by one of her lackeys, a man whose own face was hidden behind a mask. In no time, they would arrive to the studio of Kasey's choice, a private industry she had funded for her own personal reasons, with few benefits to herself. Her own attire was different. Her face covered in a thick membrane of bone to give her the appearance of paint. The white color as the outlines of a skull were imprinted on her. Bits of paint filled in the crevasses giving her the appearance of a traditional sugar skull. A simple white dress with bits of floral patterns covered the bottom of the dress, and her top. Her skin with the same matched white as bone was layered over her skin. "Lady Macabre." she would say. "Until we are home, or alone, you must not address me as anything else." She would instruct the girl, saving her explanations for later. "If anyone asks, we are interns for Army of One, and are here for official business."When they arrived, the car would stop right in front. The driver would park, and quickly exit, opening the door for Kasey. "Miss Macabre." the man would say. "Tank Girl."Today they would play hero, just for a little while. "Thank you, Ace. Please, do not make too much of a mess. I'll see you next week." She would nod, heading forward to advance to the doors. She would have to wait to play her game. Now, she depended on the girl to be flawless. Any careless error, and things would get complicated, very fast. ~ Word Count: 309 ~ |

Sitting in the backseat of the pristine white car with her benefactor Kasey, Jess could not help but feel a bit nervous this seemed like quite an important event that they were going to and would not doubt be something that lead to even more down the road. As such she had arrayed herself in what almost seemed like a jumpsuit, for her a way to protect those who would try and make her bleed from such a folly. It was a very dark blue trimmed in white and consisted of a few different pieces, her pants were seemingly like normally track pants but made of a much studier material in order for her to not just destroy them from friction when going all out. While nothing too fancy it was certainly more expensive than she was used to and she felt the same about her upper jacket that she wore sipped up to her chest which was covered with a purple undershirt. Her hands, which had the fingerprints burnt off of them long ago, were covered with black gloves that gave way to white bandages which covered her forearms down to the elbow. Nodding along to her the Polish student would be in a bit of a serious mood, at least compared to most of the time she had spent here in Japan where she was goofing around with Kasey, Natalia, her fellow students and sometimes her teachers. It had been a cheerful and positive experience and the girl would not trade it for the world, such kindness had allowed her to blossom into taking these chances. " Understood Lady Macabre" Jess would say, trying to keep her sentences shorter for the persona she was developing in her head for herself to use as a hero identity to start and mold with. " Lady Macabre, what is plan?" Jess would simply ask as she looked around her crimson eyes lazily taking in the details as she stepped out of the vehicle her natural sixth sense feeling out even the wind current up to seven meters away. Jess Circe, otherwise known as Tank Girl was planning on being on her best behavior today and did not want to jeopardize anything on a mistake that she could avoid and as such the head that was normally full of such zany wonder shifted back into something she was more used to when being trained to be a child soldier. Things were simple on he surface, but to leave even the smallest breadcrumb would spell doom. It would cause all of her masks to mold into one, and with it, her ideals. If peace was kept, she was at peace. If it fell to pieces, then so would Japan. There would be no villain to match her, or hero to stop her. There would be only death, punctuated with her own. Plans that echoed in her mind, over and over. It was no time for games, not until they had made it to the third floor. A simple elevator would cut their time down, and minimize any instances. It was her first act of playing hero, to adopt an identity that would be akin to an aged woman who was playing pirate for a day. There could be moments meant to be enjoyed, but still, there was a matter to attend to. World peace. Or like, money. Probably money. Kasey pulled open the door, and motioned for the girl to enter first. "Dj Skullface is on the third floor. He is our destination." And she would follow close behind the girl, adjusting the flowers on her head to hide her horns better. Within, it could be seen with a half dozen shady folk. From the man behind the receptionist, to the men in suits smoking and drinking off to the side. The dimly lit corners and the bright colored walls and polished wood floors. There was money here, and with it, the lowlifes. Kasey would quickly make her way around the girl, only to throw a two finger salute to the man behind the counter. He would reply with a nod. The other men would stare, quietly, observing. "Tank, let's go."She would head to the elevator, just big enough to hold her, and the girl. The doors would open, showing a lanky fellow in a mask and a black robe. His hands viable, scarred and sewn together, as if his fingers had once been removed. He would keep his head low, until he passed the girl, looking back, then running out of the building. They would fill the elevator, and ride it to the upper floors before stepping down the hallway, and going to the door with the skulls carved on the outside. Kasey would knock, and from within, a man would open the door. A similar helm to match her mask. "Oi oi Emz." the man would say, only to have Kasey enter and hopefully the girl behind. They would be in good hands. Inside, would be a lavish apartment, and a visible sound studio. From comparison to the rest of the building, this was one of the nicest rooms. Mahogany floors and silver engravings on all of the furniture. Once they entered, he would remove his helm to place it on a hook beside the door. From first glance, a few other helms could be seen, a bunch within reach if the man needed them. "We here for the track then?" He would look over to the girl and extend a hand. "You can call me-""Jay. You may call him Jay, Jess. He knows all you need to know. About me, at least."~ Word Count: 537 ~ |

Upon first entering the building, Black Hole Sun would manifest himself upon Jess' head and mantle, while they did not wish to break the law about using a quirk in public Jess knew the building they were entering would allow such things and did not hesitate to adorn herself in her closest friend. The crown of thorns was a bit much of a touch but they had agreed upon the rest of the Neon skull design which culminated in making her look like some Herald of the Underworld there to ferry souls between the world of the living and the dead. Perhaps one day she would take up such a job but for now her hands would prefer to remain unstained from such deeds, desiring the aesthetics of metal the mask would evoke instead. With her eyes now covered by Neon X's Jess would rely upon the telepathic relay that came from Black Hole Sun to function as her eyes in this form, not that she truthfully needed eyes thanks to her natural ability but none-the-less, the girl felt like she looked fierce. Exiting the first elevator before her benefactor at her behest, Jess would 'look' around the area shifting her head to scan things she really did not need to in an effort to look more like the intimidating guard dog of Lady Macabre. Falling back into line with her fellow female Jess would walk with her as she did not know where she was going and could not always function as a forward herald for her companion. Who this DJ Skullface was, was beyond the girl who just attempted to keep all these new names straight in her head so as not to fuck up. Through the smokey corridors they would travel Jess not speaking again until she was addressed and responding with, " Yes Lady Macabre" in a deep and serious tone, which for her would sound like a low rumble compared to her normally chirpy tones. Tank was a shorter version that seemed to fit a bit better for the setting they were entering into, allowing Jess to fall even more into this old persona of hers which was a lot more serious and a lot less fun and games. Another Elevator, as it opened an odd man exited who gave Jess pause for the first time since coming to Japan she was an odd mixture of intimidated and filled with anticipation, though the feeling passed when the stitched man did as well. This time the traveling device was even smaller caused Jess to duck in before Kasey again to ensure the two fit in a comfortable manner with the bigger woman in the back allowing the smaller one freedom of movement. The mask of doors would delight the Slavic girl who had to suppress a giggle at the sight and instead successfully kept her air of business demeanor about herself. Another man, in another mask would open this door and address the pair before Jess followed Kasey within the portal that had just popped open for them both. Just how much money did Kasey have? Was this hers? A million thoughts filled Jess skull as she observed the room they had entered just like every other place inside the building already having a mental map of the places they had gone through on their way up here. Grasping the extended hand in a grasp Jess picked up on Kasey's unspoken warning to her and would respond with, " Is nice to meet you Jay, am Jess but please, call Tank Girl or Tank for short." While the other woman had used her first name, the large muscled girl had a feeling that secrecy was still king here from how Lady Macabre was reacting. Now Jess had to wait to see what was going to be in store for her in the next few upcoming moments. [ WC: 648 ] |

The more people knew, the less people understood. You could accept what she had done, what she was doing, and what she was going to do. But to understand her reason was to fall into the madness and the blurred lines between ethics and morals. Some simply trusted her, and what she did. But to understand, would be on another level. She could be easily classified as textbook evil, but those that accepted the truth, knew there was far more shades of gray than they thought possible. "I'll get ready then." Kasey spoke, and from her face, the creature would emerge from her bones, a fox like creature of sorts, but the familiar horned skull to represent the being it was becoming. "I'll keep watch then." he would say, before taking a perch atop the back of a sofa, just like a bird would. The other man would lean upon the same piece of furniture looking at the girl. "You'll get used to it eventually, Tank Girl." The man would smile, his own appearance akin to a hippy of sorts. His long hair brushed over his shoulder, and the headband kept it out of his face. "It's hero practice. Learn to use your hero name when you're a hero, rather than your real name." The man would look at the door, giving a sigh of relief. Setsuna wound muse a low hum, as if an answer to a question. "This will be your first lesson into being a hero then, ight?" He lifted a finger and closed his eyes, as if to recite an old speech. "Learning to when to hold back." He would open his eyes to smile at the girl, all the while Kasey had vanished into a back room. "You're training to be a hero. But like, technically, you're in some villain's headquarters right now." he smiled, "Super rad right? You guys COULD probably defeat them all, and get them all arrested, but it would be just as easy to wait for them to make a mistake, and lead you to a much bigger threat."Kasey would return from a backroom, only to head over to the other room, towards the booth. "Jay, don't fill her head with bad ideas.""Oi oi Cece, I doubt you've told her yet about the third floor.""You mean here, or at the estate?"". . . Wait there's a secret on this floor too?"". . . no?"The both of them narrowed their eyes at each other. Things were about to get complicated. ~ Word Count: 418 ~ |

Nodding as a form of greeting to Setsuna as he emerged Jess would re-focus upon the other two humans in the room, this new man was a talkative one and perhaps he would hold valuable insight for her to gleam. Jess would nod at his words as well, pausing only to glance at the door when he did out of habit. She had not felt anything, the door had not moved, but the habit of following another's eyesight was hard to break sometimes especially when one was focused on learning from the person in question. " Hold...back?" Jess would ask in confusion as Kasey had seemingly poofed herself to somewhere else, though this to was felt by the Slavic girl as was any shift in the physical space around them. " Well I suppose is rad but is not like they have child in basement or actively breaking law so how could even arrest in first place? Have outstanding bounties? Not sure if this best tactical advantage to take considering location and number, was trained to be Field Marshal, were you not of knowing? Why would of I do something of so foolish?" as she spoke she would approach the man using her height to accent her point of competence in the way that a fifteen year old girl would think would be needed right now to accompany her words that were not hostile but held a bit more firmness to them despite the confusion within the tone. Kasey's warning about filling ideas was good advice but it was content that she already agreed with and thus she simply nodded along content to fall back into silence after shooting down the silly idea of bum rushing several floors full of people just the two or maybe three of them. " Am aware of third floor in Estate but was pretty sure was not allowed so told Sun Boy to stop snooping, there is secret here as well though?" Not being socially aware enough of the game the two were playing Jess would smash right through the unspoken secret like a fat man unable to stop on his safety scooter from careening into a sheet of glass comedically carried by two men, one on each side. Well this might actually change her opinion on the earlier foolhardy idea, if there was a way to stealthy do this it could be attainable though the point about them needing to have proof of criminal activity before anyone could act remained valid as well as the fact that she was certain the school would be upset to hear about any sort of hero work outside of their carefully set up system. Jinos was making things complicated. Kasey had to quickly make her own plan. Without Setsuna's guidance, she was on her own feet to think of a plan. "Jess, leave Black Hole Sun with Setsuna and Jinos. I need your help in here." Kasey would say with a smile, "I'm going to be singing today, and I could use your support." A sound proof booth in a sound proof room. Anything they said would be kept to themselves. But to create a barrier, and one that left her summon to digest the information for Jess, seemed to be the best choice. After all, it was something similar to what Setsuna had done to Kasey nearly two decades ago. "I mean, you can snoop around my place, but I don't think you'll find anything beyond tarot cards, flowers and . . . probably music..." He looked over at the corner of the room. "And a gun. Don't play with that though. . . Though I think a bone needle would be much more terrifying flying at me than a bullet.""One time.""Don't matter. Never forget.""You pissed on yourself. I can't forget either."". . . that's.. .fair."Setsuna would remain perched as Kasey would disappear into the recording studio. She would begin to set up the microphones and other gear prepping for her first stage of her lengthy plans. Instruments lined against the back wall of the booth, with a few strange instruments meant for kids. One in particular, was a small kazoo type horn. Black in contrast to the bright pinks and blues of the other toys. Skulls decorated it, almost as if it was a small plastic war horn. It sat on a table in the middle of the room, ignored by Kasey as she begun to plug things into the needed places. The fun was soon to begin. ~ Word Count: 303 ~ |

" Um okay" Jess would say meekly being lead about still extremely confused about just what exactly was going on having a sum total of zero confirmed information to go off of. The mask on her face materialized and a huge shadowy cyclopes would form, Black Hole Sun's shell was now off of her face and standing while she followed Kasey. It would affix it's eye upon Jinos in a silence only those without mouths could pull off, the gaze catching his every movement before a voice would be heard in Jinos' head as he began to open his mouth. ' I don't understand speech can I just pull the thoughts instead of trying to lip read' Black Hole Sun needed permission to establish a telepathic link with someone but could relay as much information as they desired after the bond was allowed. Though said link could be severed by the other party at any time, one would have to be careful of what they thought about when the summon was inside their skull if they held any secrets. ' Why not, we could play Russian roulette wouldn't you like that my dear fellow?' the decaying and bubbling muck of a tone that was Black Hole Sun's mental voice would come back into the man's head with mocking laughter. Unlike Jess the summon was quite rude and became bored much quicker, resorting to toying with others when this occurred as it was now. Upon hearing what followed after and how the man had pissed himself that mocking laughter would turn into a howling gale as the doll of BHS doubled over in unnecessary body patterns that resembled someone who was laughing to hard to breathe, a thing that the summon did not need do at all. ' Like you still do in your bed no doubt' this time the voice would be heard by all who allowed it, and Jess would shake her head in disapproval. " Everyone should be of nicer to Jinos" the large slavic girl would say as she followed her benefactor into the odd room, disappearing from the two others who now shared a room alone. A doll that could sense everything but really did not need to worry about anything and a squishy, fleshy human, what a wonderful pair, it was a power dynamic the summon would no doubt abuse as he was so unused to it. Was this a recording studio? Oh god....Kasey did not expect her to sing did she? No. She would refuse no matter what, the girl would rather try to claw her way out with her fingernails than to sing and expose her horrible voice to the world. Hoping against hope that she was wrong Jess would flinch as she saw the set up but still wait patiently for Kasey to regard her again. [ WC: 470 ] |

Everything needed to be sectioned and carefully picked apart piece by piece. It was like eating a set of ribs. You had to pick the spots that first made it easier to hold, while keeping in mind what may make it harder to eat later. She had to observe the fat parts, nothing but filler. The meat however, would be savored, and had to be approached simply. . . Jinos would allow the link, his mind opened to Setsuna, and used to working in silence of their minds. Few times Setsuna had poked around his skull, but never more than a few seconds. He was a plaything, a toy for the spirit. Now, was no difference, other than now, he was shared. "Only after I drink." he would answer. After the girls had left the room, he understood it was time to get to business. He would peek, only to rub his hands in excitement, for the skeletal animal to speak first. "She is a lot of gray area." he would speak, his own words aloud, for the comfort of the simple man. "Don't get the wrong idea, she has nothing but hopes and aspirations for the young girl, but you should be aware of what she is."The man would raise a hand, cutting the words, speaking himself. "She is a person." he would say almost mad at how things was worded. His brows furrowed at the creature as he near pleaded to the newly formed summon. "She's a good person, who does bad things, for good reason. That's all. She just does what heroes can't."". . . Which is kill. We kill people. Bad people. Heroes can't have blood on their hands, and sometimes the law isn't what's needed." He nodded as he spoke, as if he was bored reciting it. "But that's not the complicated part.""Is it the fact that now my building is piratically owned by one of her enemies, rather than The Corporation.""No, although that is quite amusing." He would smile, in a way only a skull could. "She plays two sides of the same coin. A villain who fights for control of the underworld, and a hero that fights that same persona. If you defeat a crime lord, someone else will just take their place." He would look at Black Hole Sun. Perhaps it made more sense to him than Setsuna thought it was. Maybe it was redundant to say what he had been. But they were only getting started. . . . . . Kasey smiled, the girl speaking highly of a man she had only just met. "Yeah, that's usually how things go with Jay. He doesn't mind, mostly." She walked around the room, moving things aside, only to point at some of the larger instruments, like the drum set and guitars. "You aren't gonna be singing, but if you can play something, would be nicer than the tracks we already recorded. . . can you move those against the wall please?" she would say, getting up to head back towards the door. "Hold on, I need the cables." She would say, only to step out of the studio to fetch a few power cables, and flick a few switches before jumping back inside. She would go to connect the microphone to the power supply and also move a few other things around. Kasey's eyes darted to the horn, laughing a bit to herself. "You ever play with one of those as a kid?" she'd ask, curious to the answer. But to her it was less of a joke and more of an interest to what kind of life the girl lived. Was all of it lost like Kasey's, or was there a bit for her to enjoy and hold onto? ~ Word Count: 621 ~ |

Much like one's own personal obstacles eating ribs should be done all at once, rushed and with a wild frenzied pace that allows for no regrets in the moment. Simply push yourself past your fears and make sure not to choke on the bones. The bubbling tar of laughter would erupt in the minds of those left in the room in response to the playful response to playing Russian Roulette before Setsuna, if they would allow it, would feel an extreme focus as the other's summons would form into solid words. Such a nice mind it was, neat and organized unlike the fleshy humans with their chemicals from their bodies affecting their thoughts, it was peaceful just the things that the summon would wish. Nothing so muddled as a biological mind derived of ape origins. ' I had my suspicions, as would have Jess had she not been so wrapped up in her damned emotions.' the summon would respond in the mind of the other and, out of politeness, the man that was with them. So it seemed that it was finally time to get to business and understand exactly what the woman wanted with an ex-soldier, it was not just chance that Jess was chosen or so BHS had assumed and it affixed it's eye on the other summon with more than it's normal apathy. There was not much opportunity to interrupt again causing the next fixed amount of time for the summon to bobble it's head with a nod at the things it had guessed at and at the things it had agreed with. Killing was simply a fact of survival and BHS was hardly surprised to think all villains went to jail, it would soon devolve into some influence and money game at that point, a new way for simpletons to have their trust fund babies instill meaning where there is none to their empty lives. 'Time itself spirals, why would not organized crime follow the same detestable pattern? If you know what to expect you can plan for it and these pathetic humans so oft love to keep themselves to narrow paths. So Kasey plays both sides to ensure something gets fucking done around here.' At this the lanky summon stood back up from it's normal squatting position bowing it's back to not hit the ceiling as it became pacing back and forth and gesturing wildly. ' So, what's the staged plan? Who does Jess 'defeat' and who do we kill?' there was indeed no way that Jess would suffer again taking another's life but her summon was not exactly apart of her and would do anything to keep her safe, no matter what, anything. The lengths that Black Hole Sun would go to ensure Jess' happiness were unknown and it was like peering into the depths of space and wondering where exactly the edge was. This information would not pass to Jess at all as she was in the recording booth, safe and secure from the filthy work that her summon had a feeling it would soon be doing. Jess cautiously looked around as Kasey spoke and noticed a set of drums, she wasn't the best but she had some middling skill and interest in the thing. Perhaps she could do that...the thought was interrupted as she squeezed up against a wall following the other female's instructions. " Okay...cables yes" Jess would meekly say as she looked around the recording booth feeling rather nervous but glad it was just the two of them. Eyes lingering on the horn Jess would think back to the mornings she was awoken after scant hours of sleep and forced marching from the day before, " No...Jess can of play drum though?" [ WC: 621 ] |

Her only real task was to take in children and make sure they were placed in good homes. It was only different with Jess, that she was kept and prized and given a role to play. The others would all be rehomed soon, if not already. She would check in maybe once or twice a week before they were removed. She learned not to get attached to them. The less they knew about each other, the better. The Silver Haired Woman. It was all they needed to know. They didn't need to know about wigs and temporary hair coloring, or the masks she wore. Villains, to be locked up was temporary. It was a matter of time before Lady Lavender was released, either by papers or by force. It was how comics worked, and how life worked now. The only way to stop them, was to sentence to death. They needed to prosecute her before she would escape from their hands again, slipping past their fingers. She was but one example, one that Kasey was at least aware of. Villains needed to be punished. Kasey was the only one fit for the job. "You don't kill anyone." Setsuna would say, "Now if you want to beat them inches from the end of their life, so be it, but you cannot be a factor to their death." He instructed, as best as a small talking fox made of bone could try to order the lanky tar creature. "Man if I knew it was gonna get this heavy this fast I should have smoked first." Jinos looked around the room, his own words lost, only to be a witness to the conversation. "And you will earn your winnings. While we may influence what hand is dealt to you, it's up to you to play the game." If he could laugh, he would, but he held his tongue. "That's how Ketsujo begun, and how all of this hero business started. It was all an act. With Darkshine, the people saw peace, while crime was controlled. Now with Red Horn, things are wild and chaotic thanks to Thundershock running rampant." he shock his head in disappointment. "We will train Jess as you see fit, and she will rise naturally as a hero. What we will do, however, is set some of your training a bit more forward. They won't be our members, but if she has a low day, nothing a small pick me up wouldn't help with." He looked at Jinos, a man who nervously stood still, his eyes darting back and forth. "No. You couldn't pay me enough to get my ass kicked again. I'm good bro.". . . Kasey picked up the horn, watching the nervous eyes. She set it aside. "Sure. Whatever you wanna do, alright?" She smiled, and would help her move the set into place and all proper placement from her. She would take a stool and move it for the girl to sit on. "I mean doesn't really matter what you do anyways, just have fun with it. Jay is pretty good at cutting up beats to make it work, even if you just wail of them, alright?" She smirked, even if she went ham and destroyed the set, all that mattered was that she enjoyed herself. A replacement would be pocket change, and the destruction all part of the allowance that was given to the man. Anything else he did was just for him. She looked at the doorway, shutting it to allow the natural acoustics to bounce around the modified room. She didn't want any influence, nor any words to travel further than they should be able to. Besides, if there was an emergency, all Jinos had to do was push a button to sound a localized alarm, for them, and for all of her underlings to arrive. Everything now, was for pleasure and enjoyment. A meeting in one room, while a woman and a girl set up a drum set to enjoy themselves. Perhaps in the early 2000s it would be something to enjoy, to have the women set away to entertain themselves while men talked. But it was them who were in control. And they always would be. ~ Word Count: 703 ~ |

No way could it be that simple, no more blood on her hands? Wait...could she finally be what she wanted to be and stand for something good? No longer scarred by her own skills but forging new and more nonlethal ones? Black Hole Sun certainly hoped that the other summon meant their words or they would be rather upset about what they would then be forced to do. If this was the truth, they would have to make sure to get the little thing some form of dried cereal pulling from the shared memories to hearken back to what Setsuna enjoyed. ' This is more than acceptable as terms, though I doubt she will honestly go that far even if a life is in the balance now thanks to another cursed student that softened her more. Still, I suppose that is for the best, if you can change your life you should no?' The summon mused in the heads of the others in the room as it paced and did a shooing motion to the human who wished to smoke, signalling to go do so now before it got even heavier there. Black Hole Sun nodded, it was a nice way to take care of the competition indeed keeping heat off that fact with other things and so the other summon would only have one thing to add. ' Yes but let's drag this out and not overwhelm her at first, I am certain she can handle it but undue attention so soon would put a damper on things and possibly cause this situation to fizzle out. As much as it would be nice to fix things as soon as possible, the slow burn will be best here, perhaps expand a bit outside the city?' Back to pacing once more the thing was throwing out ideas as it went about the room thinking of just what exactly would end up becoming of this if they rushed Jess too fast and got her name too big. Nay instead it would be best to simmer this throughout the entire time of her time at UA allowing her to graduate with a huge name but not one so ridiculous as to draw questions as to why exactly she was so big in the first place. - - - - - - - - - - Sitting down on the stool Jess would watch as Kasey completely secured the door as she would pick the drumsticks up from the set as if a secondary habit as it was. While no professional she was someone who had a middling experience of playing the drums and so she ran through the kit testing each part in a smooth roll triumphing with a hit on the cymbal and high-hat. Nodding to herself and closing her eyes choosing to instead focus on how the drumskins felt to her and how the sticks were exactly extended beyond the loose grip she held them with. Within a matter of a few minuets she had established a rather hectic pace, taking full advantage of the two feet pedals on the bass drum while hitting the rest of the upper drums with a firm but not harsh pace. She was not that excited and instead found her center and as such the girl fell into an easy rhythm and found her smooth muscle control firing splendidly instead. A few times she would switch the beat up and always she kept a separate tempo for the bass drum as opposed to the set up for the hands which was in a completely different by sympathetic time signature and helped cross the two during the switch ups. It allowed for a frantic but controlled sound to come from the percussive instruments. [ WC: 616 ] |

Often it was the simplest of plans that preformed the best. They were easily able to fit in changes and adapt to other plans. They had spots to place variables and to be tweaked without altering the ending. Any changes to the equation, had to be done with the original formula in mind. Equation? Kasey was to usurp the underground acting as a form of anti hero playing villain. It was simple. With her act, came violence, enough to make it believable. With heroes who were in on her plan, it would be that much easier. To kill others that disagreed with her new policies for the new dark dealings would be met with an end, either by her, or the heroes that worked with her. She would be immune, at the cost of being the errand girl for heroes, doing what they could not. In this case, murder. "Every card in our deck has a use. Nothing is minute to us." he would speak, aloud to the mental replies. Jinos would get up, only to take a seat a bit away from them. He wasn't actually planning to smoke, not until people left his house. He never did like getting high with people around. "Of course." he would say, "We still have Sato's playbook, and with it, Sato himself. No one questioned his methods before." he spoke, knowing that becoming an overnight star would be questionable. Small thieves and petty crime would be the start. Do it randomly enough so no one was suspicious, and weak enough for her to learn her skills and adapt to fight greater foes, perhaps not ones actually controlled by The Corporation. "That's why we told you, and not the both of you. It's in your hands now.". . . She watched, entertained by the small ritual the girl preformed. The testing of a set she knew little about. Getting a feel for placements. It was just a small thing that caused her to wonder what she would become in battle. Would she too get a feel for her range, and the targets? Methodical in nature perhaps. She would have to see it before speculating further. Only time could tell for sure. With the beat and rhythm, Kasey nodded along in silence, taking slow steps around the girl, watching her pace, her hands, her feet. All of it interested her. Small controlled motions at the end of each limb, they had other uses. To control ones energy at the tip of their toes would be much more controlled and refined, and soon dangerous... for others. She almost wondered how far it could go. So she watched, wondering where she would take it. ~ Word Count: 446 ~ |

' So who's the first target, let's get this ball rolling I suppose and see where it brings us' Black Hole Sun visibly relaxed as the calculations slowed down within the thing it called it's mind. With no actual physical brain to speak of, calling it a mind was not entirely accurate. A consciousness to be sure, a being, certainly but using the word mind brought too many messy attachments and assumptions. English being a language of assumptions already and being the one I must convey in even though the words are spoken in Japanese the analogy must be shown inside the native confines to convey the idea properly. ' And don't say it's chasing this dingle berry around, you'll give the thing heart failure' - - - - - - - - Jess current skill would not let her get more complex than she had already achieved but she was now using the air pressure from her drum sticks and toes to propel the music forward allowing her to exert even less force and as such keep a steady, frantic pace for much longer than most normally could even with that much muscle. Jess opened her eyes and looked at the studio's clock, ten minutes had passed so she set the sticks down gently onto the snare drum and then looked to Kasey and asked, " Well would that be of acceptable?" Getting up from the stool at which she sat Jess would stretch in various ways to ensure that she did not cramp up after being in a single position for such a long time, by her guess she probably could keep that pace up for an hour at least with her current stamina but there was not much point in doing so until she really focused on practicing the instrument again and kicked the dust and rust away from her current skill level. While her Quirk could really help make up for her lack of skill, it had a ceiling which she would need technique in the music itself to break through and so she abstained from something that was only impressive live. After the Slavic girl finished her stretches she would once again regard her benefactor with a goofy smile creeping back on her face, " It is also of help that Jess know how to conserve stamina in fight to help with music, funny to think that such thing applies." While her attempt was a bit awkward it was genuine in nature and the girl hoped the other woman would appreciate the joke. [ WC: 416 ] |

Targets? There was no one worth to name, at least not names that Jess could face at her current position. Thundershock. Ishtar. The Painter. Oracle. And all of the other names she had taken note of. Some were easily influenced and manipulated, others were ones she had her eye on. Others, on her list, her very special list. One that Bucket sat at the top of. The ones in hiding would be a lot harder to find. But when they surfaced, she would be ready. "For now, we observe. After all, we've been out of the game." He would look over at Jinos and nod for them to follow. If all was done, they would move into the studio. ". . . And who the fuck even says that." He would roll what he would refer to as eyes, nothing more than small orbs that bounced within darkness acting like a pupil. He'd hop off his perch and begin his small journey... to the other room. . . . As the girl slowed down, she would speak and Kasey would reply with a slaw applause. "More than enough." she would say, "More than I'd need for even one album, perfect Jess. Just grand." She would smile, a form of free music to use as she pleased, all with the girl enjoying herself. That was the beauty of production. They could edit anything in post. She would smile, "well, yes, anything you learn here, can be applied to being a hero. Controlling one's voice, not just allow you to project sound, but alter your accent." She would wait for the girl to rise, before moving the drum set back to where it was, giving more room in the area around them. "They should be done soon, after, I'll record, and we can go home, maybe make a stop on the way for lunch... or is it time for dinner now?" She pondered the thought, but didn't linger on it. ~ Word Count: 323 ~ |
