The Ketsujo estate. A massive home meant for a father and his child as well as his extensive staff. Compared to what it used to be, it was now vacant, with half as many people as it used to house. The father without his next of kin, replaced by his assistant. His butler the same man from the last few years. The two of them, former subjects to his own madness in search for some anti-aging serum. Anything that would halt his own deterioration and prevent his daughter's decay. After all, it was the reason he had changed the direction of his investing, in search of curing whatever quirks his own bloodline had a habit of creating. He wanted to make a world where they would no longer be less than those that had, and less than those without. In his world, they would be at the top. They would always have the most. But now, he had nothing to his name. Presumed dead, he was now at the mercy of his employees, both of which had more than enough reason to kill him as he was; Weak. His staff removed, and replaced with a single family. A mother and her three children. All of which had taken their place in either the rooms within the main house as Master Hain did, or in one of the surrounding homes like Caitlyn and her child had. From a staff of a few dozen, reduced to a single half, it was now a quiet home. At least, in concept it would have been. With just a few souls to fill the empty void of the home, there had been much more discussion than ever before with the man. The early hours of the morning, Kasey remained in the library, resting as she held the book in front of her, carefully reading and extracting all of the contents. Her silver hair loose as it hung over the edge of the seat she rested in. The book held high as her legs were hung over the top of the seat. Perhaps the least optimal way of reading, but in her mind, to read upside down, with the blood rushing to he brain was just a method to retain information, or so she had read. In a book or online would be unclear, but still something she would follow. A large white shirt, almost long enough to be a dress, worn over her top. A loose sports bar that almost did the job for her was under. The holes and the stains of blood would cover the shirt, and would still beg the question of if it was hers, or someone else's. Blue bright shorts and her bare feet remain in concentration as all of her soul focused on the book. Today's reading? Japanese mythology. Specifically, text of a certain village that was rumored to birth great warriors eras ago. A lost text in the sense that most of what it had said was exaggerated. But in this three story house, and the many lower floods underground, it was one of very few books she had read, and reread over and over. Each time, teaching her something new. Ah yes, to new experiences. ~ Word Count: 518 ~ |

The large estate was far too grandiose for the Sieglinde family, but they had nowhere else to go. Their small home was gone, now they had to make do with the vast empty spaces of this modern-day castle. The reason why the Sieglinde family was even able to enjoy such a lavish and peaceful life was because of the kindness the lady of the house showered upon them. The lady of the house was kind enough to even give a house to give the mother and the youngest daughter their own home to stay in with in the estate. However, Natalia had an unequivocal duty to stay in the same living quarters of the lady of the house. Natalia’s older brother, on the other hand, was nowhere to be found, she was told by the few employees that were there that he was not staying at the estate but that he did visit often. After all, it was her job as the new personal maid of the lady was now her duty. Natalia could not help but notice that there was certain aura permeating in the air. It was as if the entirety of the whole estate was coated with the colors of melancholy. Perhaps it was because of the halls we're empty echoing the bustling activity of a ghost town. Hain, the head butler had informed Natalia that the lady of the house could be found in the library. The clock ticked it was still morning but slowly encroaching to the time of lunch. The heels of Natalia's boots softly clicked on top of the floor as she navigated through the winding hallways of the estate. The scent of freshly baked goods wafted into the air beckoning Natalia to step into the kitchen to investigate. Sure enough, the world-class chefs had produced delectable pastries and sweets. However, the creators of said artisan-crafted snacks were nowhere to be seen. Natalia playfully entertained the thought s that perhaps the staff was compiled of elite ghost chefs, butlers, maids, and whatnot. A soft smile curled upon her supple lips as she smirked, dismissing the thought as hogwash. Natalia's gloved hand traced the glass jars each containing different sorts of high-quality tea leaves. Tea and sweets we're partners in crime when it comes to afternoon sweets and snacks.Natalia decided to go with two selections of tea for the lady to choose from. The first choice was Yunnan Black Tea, a type of tea grown in the high elevations of the Yunnan Province. This particular tea had a notable taste of chocolate and malt sometimes with a slight dash of spice. The second choice was Gyokuro or also referred to as Jade Dew. Gyokuro was known to be the highest quality green tea and had a slightly sweet taste to it. With utmost precision and care, Natalia brewed both teas to get the most optimal flavor out of both of the selections. Natalia set aside a few sweets and a cup of Black tea for Hain, leaving a note behind thanking him for his help. Natalia then set the sweets and tea on a cart and began to make her way to the library. After masterfully navigating the labyrinth halls of the estate Natalia arrived at the doors to the library. She knocked three times and waited for permission to enter. "Ojou-sama, the staff and I have prepared some snacks and tea for you." Natalia respectfully stated her purpose as she awaited the response of the lady of the house. - 587 Words - |

She looked out from over her book, which in reality was from under the pages. She looked at the blonde girl. The longer she stared, the more she begun to detest her existence. Why couldn't they just accept the money and be on their way. Instead, they had assimilated into her society, her secret haven away from the world. A place where mindless pawns came in, cooks and did their job. A place were Hain, was her butler, and not posing as her boss, when she would pose as his assistant but be his boss. It was complicated now. And with each day, Kasey's words slipped, while Hain almost danced the truth around them. It was only a matter of time before her own secret wardrobe was uncovered, and with it, the secrets of her life. Oh wait, that was a few months ago. "What snacks?" she would ask, again burying her head behind the book. Even id she wanted her to disappear, she didn't mind her company. Truth was, she was one of the sweetest people she had encountered thus far. If she was to disappear, she wasn't sure what she'd feel. But it didn't matter. Even if Kasey hadn't told her a bit of the reality she lived in, she would eventually find out, as did Hain. But truth be told, all of the staff that came in, all knew of Sato's deeds. All of them trusted employees. Most of them thugs, with a single refined skill for pastries or repairs that required them to appear once a week for just a small period of time. The rest of their time spend underground, the deeper dwellings of the estate, and the darker deeds they were paid to do. "Have you eaten yet, Natalia?" and so, the start of the dance of words would begin. And soon, it would be filled with dips and turns that all watching could appriciate. That means you, reader. ~ Word Count: 316 ~ |

Those who have it all are sometimes the ones who need the most love and care. Those were the words Natalia's father once told to her, Aloette and Noctis. When Natalia was younger she did not understand what her father meant. How could a person who had everything need the most love and care? It baffled her, logically speaking if said person had everything at their fingertips they wouldn't be lacking in any facet of their lives. However, after meeting lady Kasey Setsuna, Natalia finally understood what her father's words meant. Just like the empty estate, Kasey was overwhelmingly intimidating, lavish, a symbol of power and might... Just like the grand mansion, Kasey seemed empty, cold, and lonesome inside. Natalia could sense that she wasn't wanted after all ever since she was a child she had a nack of empathizing with others. Even so, Natalia would remain by Kasey's side until she would hear the instruction to leave. Until then Natalia would always come by to bring Kasey meals, arrange her clothes to wear, and sit quietly in hopes that she would be able to fill even just a little bit of the unnamed emptiness that seemed to follow Kasey around. "Yes, Oujo-sama. For snacks, we have apple scones, lemon bars, hot crossed buns, English madeleines, Chocolate pound cake, and marmalade muffins." Natalia pushed the cart over so the contents could be seen by Kasey. Each of the pastries and sweets glistened with sugary goodness. Each delicious good was fluffy and appetizing with its colorful array and edible decorations. "I would recommend green tea with sweets. However, if your sweet tooth in the mood then the Black tea with some cream and sugar would also be a good option." Natalia picked up the fine china and set it down on a nearby table that was within Kasey's reach. Natalia glanced at Kasey's beautiful figure, it was a shame that such a figure was hidden by such tattered clothes at home. Granted, Kasey knew how to doll up when the occasion arose, but Natalia always wondered why Kasey didn't have nicer lounging wear. "If you're in the mood for something other than sweet, the staff and I prepared two other options. The first option is curried chicken sandwiches, it is not too spicy but a great blend of flavor saltiness and spice too it. The second option is smoked salmon and avocado on rye, it is a pleasant blend of saltiness and sweetness." The beautifully crafted snacks we're presented on fine china on top of a silver tray. "I have not had eaten yet, I was thinking of getting something to eat later, oujo-sama" Afer setting up the snacks for consumption Natalia awaited further instructions. Her sky blue eyes gazed upon the beautiful figure of her master. In her mind, Natalia was smiling thinking how odd some of Kasey's habits were. It was cute, quirky, and sometimes oddly seductive. It was even more entertaining to Natalia because Kasey did all these things naturally without effort. It made Natalia a little bit envious of seemingly comfortable Kasey was in her skin. - 521 Words - |

With everything and everyone around her, Kasey would always be lonely. She craved for love an affection. It was why she had tried so hard to make a family of her own by assimilating into that man's life. By being his daughter's auntie. By gifting an expensive gift of sorts to his newest. But soon, even he would grow tired of her, finding a woman to pair with, and soon a child. She was always a temporary in everyone's lives. She was just a character bound to the stories behind others. Reduced to being nothing more than a foil or a comic relief. She was a joke, and the world would always treat her like such. It didn't matter how much she hated someone, or how much they disgusted her. She was one that followed orders, and her own sense of code. An old rite by a culture that was long lost for reasons. Even when Sato had chained women within his home, or bought children for other means, she stuck by. She tolerated it for the warped sense of justice, because with him, she had someone, and with him, she had access to be with others. When she was with Yuri she felt seen, but even so, she tolerated the girl. She was in love with the idea of having someone, but she could never love a girl whose father was Thundershock himself. Not when she had done so little to fight back. Not when she had done so little to do anything. No, none of it mattered now. Sato had been striagh, clean, and was not subject to the same imprisonment as his playthings. Thundershock was now an associate by means of the Ketsujo brand. Everything was tolerable. But still, she was alone. The only thing she could remotely call her family had died by a hand she had paid for. An act, she did not endorse. All of it her fault because she wanted company, friends. The cost was not money, but the life of the only person who saw her for what she was. Someone more like her own sister, than her twin, Cherry. "Gakha.*" she would say, hating the sound of that word. Even if she meant right by it, the sound of that word in her native tongue drove her mad. She had always preferred any other language to her own. It was why Hain was preferable. He, was one that understood. She blinked as the cart neared, sniffing at the light aroma that had dared to wander within striking distance. She looked over what she could see from her low perspective. But for a moment, her gaze drifted from the food as hands would move, placing each one to the small table beside her. She looked at the girl, her skin, her figure, how she simply moved just to fetch a place. She was mesmerized, yet, still she kept composure. It wasn't her home, yet she treated it with the upmost respect. She was truly ideal, yet, as close as she was to Kasey right now, she couldn't be further away. Her body sunk down, sliding slowly until the top of her head had pressed against the ground. Part of her dared to peek under that dress, yet she could not bring herself to do it. Kasey closed her book, closed her eyes and took a deep inhale. Without pressing off the ground, she lifted herself to her seat, until she sat upright, though reversed as she faced the back of her chair. "Eat with me." she would say. It was not a suggestion, but she had meant it as one. Yet her words were phrased as an order. A bit of rose would find its way to her cheeks as she looked away, clearing her skin before looking down at the food. her body turned, sitting as a normal person would, reading out to grab the cake first. "I take it then, that the bones are still in the kitchen?" she asked, referring to the chicken, wondering how fresh it was, but also of the other meat she had dealt with not that long ago. He, would be dessert. As all the good things were saved for last. Just like Natalia.~ Word Count: 710 ~ |

Natalia looked at Kasey she noticing the faint blush and in return, Natalia broke her usual cold expressionless face and gave Kasey a soft gentle smile. Natalia new what Kasey meant, no further words needed to be said. The short few months she had been around Kasey she began to pick up the little nuances that Kasey had. "I'd love to share the meal with you, thank you ojou-sama". Natalia bowed and brought over a seat to eat with Kasey. Natalia did not want to get her gloves dirty, so she decided to take the gloves off. Underneath each glove revealed a pair of beautiful silver mechanical hands sparkled underneath the nearby light. Natalia watched Kasey reach out for the cakes. Natalia waited patiently for her turn, Natalia then picked her snack of choice which was the scrumptious, soft, and sticky hot crossed buns. Natalia gracefully took a bite out of the warm tender bun. Her mouth formed around the dessert, savoring every bit of it. After taking her first bite, she licked her pink supple lips coated in syrupy sticky goodness. Natalia glanced up at Kasey with her usually stoic face. "Yes, the bones should still be there... along with the other meats and bones in the freezer... These snacks are quite delicious, the chefs once again have outdone themselves..." Natalia then took a sip from her cup of tea, she had gone with the black tea for her tea of choice. After finishing the bun, Natalia wiped her hands with a napkin, which wasn't entirely needed for whatever substances leftover would be assimilated into her liquid metallic body. Mythril. the spirit that resided in Natalia's body then chimed in Natalia's mind. "Child, do you not think it is time for you to give Lady Kasey the gift you and your family prepared?" Natalia took another sip from her tea. Natalia did not say a word but Mythril knew that her master had acknowledged. "Oujo-sama... I was trying to find the right time to give this to you... it's nothing much but it's from my family and me. I noticed that you do read quite a lot and I mentioned this to my family and they suggested that we give you this book." Natalia reached into the large kangaroo-like pouch of her white apron, she then took out a small book. The book was a beautiful dark midnight blue, the color was slightly faded, there were clear creases on the spine of the book indicated that it was cherished and read many times over. The cover of the book was embroidered with a fading golden border. The cover also had a picture painted on it of a young boy and girl holding hands looking up at a single star shining in the night sky. The book was titled STARFALL. "This book means a lot to my family and me. This is a story that my father read to my siblings and me before we would go to bed when we were young. It about how a boy found a shooting star this story takes place in unknown lands." Natalia set the book down on the table, she stared at the book for a few seconds reminiscing the warm memories of her father. "It's not much... I know it may be a bit childish... but just like the rest of my family... I think father would have wanted you to have it... at the very least give it a read." Natalia looked up to Kasey with her beautiful sky blue eyes. Once more she broke her normal facade. Once more Natalia did something that she rarely does even in front of her cherished family. Natalia smiled. She said nothing else but her smile silently spoke the hopeful words saying: I hope you and I can become friends...

A familiar sight of vulnerability. Hands she had seen a few times before, and with them, the same offer as always. Though, the more she thought about it, the less her own offer made sense. But when she put it in comparison, did her own prosthetic make sense? She shook the thought, holding onto it for later as she held the cake between her fingers, placing it into her mouth. She closed the book with her left, and placed it at her side, having no need to save her spot. She closed her eyes and savored the taste, and when it had all vanished, she spoke to the girl. "Again, I'm more than certain I could make bones to replace your... arms. It would be much stronger, and less prone to rust." Though, once she spoke, she wondered if there was sentimental value for the reason she had them. Maybe it wasn't for her lack of, but something she chose not to forget. It was her chose to make, and not Kasey's. But to grow plates and other small bones to be fashioned as an accessory, benefited them both in the long run. At least with spares, if she wanted to. Kasey would take up her own cup, drinking it until it was finished, and then and only then, setting the cup back down onto the little saucer that had been coupled with it. She did appreciate the finer things in life, but when she was home, and wearing her own attire of choice, her own etiquette was not something she cared about anymore. When she spoke, she would reach into her pocket and fetch a strange book. It was cared for, and read many times over. It was a fine book, perhaps one worth restoring to it's prime state. But reading the name on the cover, she smiled. She had read that story a long time ago, it was one of her favorites. She smiled, and reached with her hand to lay a soft finger on the text, feeling the letters. " ' I offered many of the inmates here freedom to the new world. Yet they all refused.' " She mused the line from the book, repeating it aloud. "Quite the read, worth reading again, each time finding moments you didn't catch before." A wide grin on her face, faded as she recalled the rest. "They had known each other for years, and could only think to put the other first. A game of courtesy between friends. No matter how many years passed, they were always there for each other." She looked over to her maid, and narrowed her brows in thought, before turning around to face the cart, taking another slice of cake in her hands. "Do you think we can be like the Warden and the Overseer? If we lived forever, would you still remember who I am? Even if we spend years away from each other?" She asked a question, one that held a bit of sorrow in her voice. All she could think about were the people she left behind. "I promise you, Natalia, that even if a millennia passed, I would not forget all you have done for me, thus far."~ Word Count: 535 ~ |

“I appreciate your offer Oujo-sama, but Mythril takes quite good care of these arms of mine. However, should I ever need to reinforce these limbs of mine I’ll be sure to accept this offer of yours. Thank you.” Natalia semi-declined the offer politely, she had no need of this favor at the moment, but the future may have different plants. Natalia also wanted to make sure Kasey knew that she appreciated the offer which is why she didn’t flat out rejected the offer.
Natalia took a sip of tea once more, the soft hint of chocolate and spice was pleasant to her sweet tooth taste buds. Even though Natalia had already put two sugar cubes in her cup of tea, she reached over to the tray that had the sugar cubes stacked up in a neat little pyramid and grabbed another. She placed the sugar cube in her hot tea and began to stir. Natalia looked at Kasey as she took the gift that Natalia had resented.
To Natalia’s surprise, Kasey perfectly quoted a line from Starfall. It seemed that Kasey knew the book well, this only made Natalia become friends with Kasey even more. The book was an odd tale that took many twists and turns, it was a story littered with tragedies and laughs. It was a beautiful narrative woven together with love as the needle and loss as the thread that stitched the grand story together. It was a timeless story that grew along with its reader. Kasey was right, there would be little details that would shine every time the book was reread. Perhaps the words resonated differently with each reader, giving its sentences and colorful vocabulary a special meaning to every different individual who would pick up and read this book.
Natalia’s gaze was focused on to her master as the white-haired individual spoke. Indeed, the Warden and overseer was quite an interesting duo, despite the two characters going centuries without speaking, they always seemed to pick up the conversation right where they left off. Immortal souls with immortal loyalty to one another, an immortal friendship. “Yes, the Warden and the Overseer. Sometimes I wonder if they were a pair of stubborn idiots or just two lost souls who stumbled upon great power… and endearing duo nonetheless.” Natalia chuckled softly as she took another sip from her cup of tea.
Natalia listened intently to her master’s next sentence, she felt the traces of sorrow and loneliness. “If I do recall… The overseer was the personal assistant to the warden in the early chapters in the story…. Our case you’d be the warden, and as your personal maid, it would then make me the Overseer” Natalia mused as she pondered deeply to Kasey’s words. “Living forever would be a blessing and a curse… If I had a choice I wouldn’t want to live forever… living one lifetime is hard enough… However, if I was cursed to walk on this earth forever…. I would not forget... I’d hold on to these memories. I’ll always have this gratitude for all you have done for my family and me… and if for some tragic reason I forget…. I have no doubt our paths would cross again eventually and you would remind me of what I had lost…. Just like the two fools in the story.” Natalia looked out the window as she spoke as if she was gazing into a far off realm.
Natalia turned to Kasey after hearing her last sentence. To Natalia’s knowledge, she had done nothing that noteworthy. Even so, the words touched her heart. “I have done nothing compared to what you have done for me and my family... However, I am honored you feel that way… I too reciprocate these sentiments… Sadly, I sometimes can get forgetful…. Sometimes I can get lost.. If that happens, be sure to find me…. Be sure to remind me… and if I may… feel free to call me Nat.. after all, it is the nickname, my friends and family call me by.” after speaking Natalia gave Kasey a warm smile in hopes to bandage whatever pain Kasey had, even if it was short. She had hoped to relieve Kasey from that pain, even if it was just but a moment.

Sometimes it was the smallest of gestures that left the largest impact on people. A rich man's million did not compare to the poor man's penny. She could remember the saying, thought she could not remember the reason it was first spoken to her. Kasey lived and breathed a lavish life, one that she could never get used to, nor felt deserving of. Often, she had thrown money at others, not out of spite, but that she didn't want it. If she could help someone, then it was all worth it. She was a wealthy woman now, and her millions had lost the value. But she did not often give money, but an experience. All of her employee's boasted a fantastic benefit program, as well as retirement plans. It was almost redundant to ask the same from the government when she had sent so many for life. Metal arms for a metal quirk meant she had control over what she needed. It was better to be in control of the rocks around you, than to be granted a metal weapon. Often, the chance to use your own skills, rather than the leftovers of someone else were preferred. Her millions in this case, could not compare to the pennies already held. The book was a strange one. It could have easily been a comedy if not for all of the death and misfortune that fell upon the pair. The book almost tricks you into thinking it's a book about a lovely couple. But it was meant for that. A tale told from whispers in life. A thousand perspectives on the same trio, only to soon become a duo. It did not matter who they had, they were all temporary. From the laughter of a swung open door, to the sorrow of telling someone a final good bye. There was moments to smile, and others to cry. It would be a book written not by the ones that told the story, but another. A final project, that they were too foolish to complete on their own, relying on another's skills to finish their final test. "For some, time is just a distance. A place you travel to and from." Kasey smiled, looking over all of the books along the walls. Would she file it among the others? No, this book was different, it should be kept at her bedside. She listened, and with it a silent nod. Though it would not be seen when she looked out of the window, drifting into whatever daze she had placed herself in. Kasey's eyes would eventually return to fall onto the girl, wondering what else was to be said. Silent fell, until she looked back, their eyes locked as she continued. "Of course, Nat." she would say, "I find it in my best interest to pay back what the world has given me kindly. Though, I suppose already my kingdom is already penance for my time in that cage." She chuckled a bit to herself. her mind drifting back to the story. "Well, if I am the Warden, I do hope you don't microwave burritos like the tale. I prefer my meals fresh." She smiled, her right hand reaching up to set upon her cheek, feeling her skin. "I'd ask how anyone could live with a mask on their face all the time, but I suppose I'm not different, playing both hero and villain." She looked at the girl and smiled, "I don't suppose you're also part tree to couple with your metallic nature." A curious question. After all, history had it's habit of repeating itself from time to time.. ~ Word Count: 605 ~ |

"Part tree... I'm afraid I do not possess those properties...At the end of the day, we all wear masks, heroes, villains, civilians... there is no exception... each person has a part of themselves that they hide...." Natalia mused softly as she took another sip from her teacup. "I must confess... I'm afraid the extent of my culinary skills is microwaving burritos... I'm not that skilled at cooking, but if you so desire I can learn how to" Natalia commented in a monotonous manner, however this was, in fact, her attempt in making a joke.
"speaking of with Oujo-sama, I was informed by some of the staff that we'll be having another person staying over... If I recall... a female student, around the age of my younger sister, Alouette... If there is anything I can do to help, I'll be happy to lend my assistance." Natalia looked down at her half-empty teacup. "If you need me to attend to our soon to be guest, I can do that as well." Natalia was curious about who was this new person that would come to stay at the estate.
"By the way, do you have any plans today Oujo-sama? Is there anything I can assist you with today?" Natalia asked eagerly to see if there was anything she could do to be of help to her white-haired friend. - 224 Words - |

It was true. Everyone was hiding something, even heroes. Even if they were open, revealing their true identity to the world, there was parts of their lives not for the public. Someone may know the truth, but unless the world knew, it was all hidden behind some locked door of sorts. Be it their children, or other parts of their private lives. Though, with it, she was able to learn more about Natalia with each moment they spent together. Even if her cooking was subpar, it wouldn't make a difference to Kasey anyways. That was the benefits of having a personal staff to tend to her needs. If it didn't work for her, it would eventually, even if temporary. Though, with a smile, she hoped the girl would not be foolish enough to microwave such a meal with the wrapper on, for far too long. "Jess Circe." she would answer to a question not really asked. "At the moment, no. Though, once she's settled feel free to do as you need, be it gathering information or simply being friendly with her. I don't really care either way what you do." Her odd mannerisms that were passive, but always seemed to come off aggressively. "Well," she reached out to the book, holding it close to herself before getting off of her seat to stand. "I'm going to find a safe place for your gift, then I think I will take a bath." She stared out of the window, a view that looked over the garden. In view, though distant, she could see the other white haired man. And a smile would appear, and fade just as soon as it had arrived. "Then, I suppose we should see if Sato would like anything. Though, I doubt it matters since he can't taste anyways." Ash. That was all anything became. ~ Word Count: 307 ~ |

Natalia attentively listened to Kasey's words taking any metal notes that needed to be jotted down in her memory. "Acknowledged, I will be sure too to make sure she feels welcome and attended too." Natalia gracefully took a gentle sip from her cup as she allowed the tea wash over her pallet, enjoying the momentary bliss. Natalia blinked her stunning blue eyes and felt happy knowing her family's precious book will be taken care of. "while you take a bath, would you like me to prepare a set of clothes for you, or would you like to choose it yourself?" Inquired Natalia as she had already put together a cute outfit for the snow white-haired devil that sat in front of her.
"Ah... Master Sato... I believe this will be my first time meeting him, I heard rumors here and there about him. What is his condition? Can't taste? A medical condition of sorts?" Natalia tilted in her head due to curiosity. She wondered exactly who was Sato? How was he connected to Kasey? How was he connected to the Sieglinde family? Well, it did not matter all Natalia had to do was to follow. She wondered what this Sato person would be.

She was good at what she did. There was no reason to second guess her. Natalia did overstay her welcome, but it wasn't like Kasey didn't want her around. The entire family would be allowed to remain, as they should be. She pondered the suggestion from the girl. It wasn't like she had anything really planned for the day. And when the night came, she would change into her normal attire anyways. What was the harm in allowing her to make a few choices, even if they lasted only a few moments. "If ya want." she would say, casually, far more so than she had been, almost like it was forced in a way to play it cool in front of her. Her collection of clothing was extensive, but even so, her room was filled with various shards and figures of bone. All of the sculptures, all of the people she had seen or met. All of them just pieces waiting to be played on a game of chess... "Sato Ketsujo." Kasey would answer. "The previous CEO of the Corporation." She looked out the doorway and down the hall past the few sliding doors in the common areas. "He's stuck in his transformation. Not that he can't get out of it, but that it would be far too detrimental for him to return to his mortal self." She would look back at Natalia. "He is a man who believes people who don't use their quirks, are the strongest. Like people only needing a single fist in a fight. When he lost his daughter..." She looked away, and sighed, "Well, people change." She smiled, reaching out to take another small slice of cake, again in her hands without the need for a fork. She lifted it again to her lips before taking a bite. She still wasn't sure if she should hate him or thank him. Perhaps both. ~ Word Count: 317 ~ |

Natalia paid close attention to what Kasey had to say, make sure she absorbed every bit of information that was given to her. she watched Kasey eat another slice of cake and decided to nab another slice for herself as well. Unlike Kasey, Natalia would use the serving utensil that was laid out and she would eat her cake in a proper manner using the utensil that sat next to her plate. She nodded as a sign of acknowledgment to let Kasey know she was listening. "Sato-sama... he seems to be an interesting fellow. Ah... Whenever you are ready please let me know Oujo-sama, I will clean up the snacks and tea, and prepare your clothes while you take a bath." Natalia took a sip from her cup of tea and nibbled on a piece of cake she broke away from her slice.
She looked out at the window once more as questions and thoughts flooded into her mind. there were so many secrets, so many questions she wanted to ask. She was thankful to have met Kasey, but she also wanted her family to be whole again. Perhaps this Sato individual could perhaps provide some insight into the whereabouts Alastor Sieglinden Natalia's father. She turned to her attention to Kasey once more, pushing away said thoughts and questions. Natalia decided to focus on there master, her friend who was in front of her right now.

Silent nods were all that were required of the girl. If she had been a servant like the others, she would do her task, and disappear, doing just what was needed before resuming their true duties. But she was different, not just in her position, but her personality. She didn't just do what was needed, she had gone beyond what was required, simply because she could. "Whenever you are ready." she would answer. "I'm not needed anywhere until nightfall, I'm in no rush." And it was true. her duties for tonight lay under the guise of darkness. She wasn't required to be anywhere until later in the week. With it, she would prepare herself, but for now, she would relax with a moment to herself, rather than the quick and efficient scrubs she had done to herself to rid herself of the smell of blood, and the stain of it against your skin. "Though I am curious," she began, "When was the last time you took time for yourself, rather than for another?" Kasey spoke, realizing what she said and rephrased it. "What I'm saying, is when was the time time you did something for yourself? Like a spa day."Kasey was curious. Perhaps more than she should have been.~ Word Count: 210 ~ |
