Michi was, for a few moments, admittedly very fascinated with having an actual seat. She was used to sitting, eating, and even sleeping on the floor; she hadn't sat in a chair in years, always saying that she preferred to stand whenever she could. But being so high off of the ground was such a strange sensation that it even felt... wrong in a way. It felt like she was too high up.
She looked up at the bell ringing, and turned her attention forward. Tonomura-sensei greeted them all, and began an introductory speech, which didn't surprise Michi. The rest of the speech, however, was; she listened, but she was disinterested in it, like this whole hero thing to begin with. She couldn't help but remember registering for the school, and how they had asked for a hero name, an idea that was almost amusing, though it hardly made her laugh.
But, Tonomura-sensei at least moved the mood; his speech was depressing, even to her. But, even so, saying that she would be expected to work with others didn't help any; that was the exact opposite reason that she was here, it was the opposite way that she was trying to live her life. An annoying prospect, but she had also expected this going in, so the news did nothing to her, it caused no reaction in her.
Introductions began, and at first it looked like it would be the big sheep guy, but instead, with a burst from the door that didn't particularly make her jump, a white-haired kid burst in, tackling the sheep guy and introducing himself and his quirk before anyone else. Then was the sheep guy, who was apparently named Buruburu. Then was a more normal-looking person, Suzuki-san, who kept her introduction short and simple.
The next person was more... interesting. He introduced himself as King, and she almost thought that that was a mistranslation; surely no one would have enough gall to call themselves a ruler? She couldn't stay on that train of thought for long; he immediately turned to her, and asked her for... her desk? He was already grabbing it, and she pulled away out of sheer instinct, just in time for him to lift it up over his head, even tossing it as if it were a baseball. Outwardly, she offered no reaction, not even when he placed it back down, but inwardly, aside from being annoyed that her desk was being used like that, she did wonder if his quirk was super strength, but that question was answered quickly by him making himself float in the air. She gave no reaction to his very bold statement, and instead just turned her attention to whoever was next.
Which would be someone introducing themselves as Edward Eckles. His introduction was nearly as dramatic as 'King's', apparently having some trouble back in the states, then turning his arm into a giant white-furred gorilla arm. Otherwise, not notable, not to Michi. HIs problems were his own, and she wouldn't pry. The next person did something no one else had done, actually running up to the front of the class, sticking himself and his book to the wall before introducing himself as Murano. Another show-off, but this one, at least, didn't mess with her desk.
Finally, it was her turn, and she stood up, walking to the front of the class. With a neutral, monotone voice, she stated, "I am Michi Yamazaki, and would like to begin by pointing out that Murano-san forgot his note." She pointed her thumb to the wall, and allowed Murano the chance, if he took it, to get up and take it and return to his seat. Either way, she continued, "I have no hero name, and my quirk, essentially, gives me super strength." As she spoke, her teeth were visible, each and every one a shiny silver, hinting to more than what she was giving off. "As for why I want to be a hero..."
She paused at that; she really, really didn't want to. It wasn't too much to guess, she assumed, that each and every one of these people came here for a genuine reason, whether it was to fix a political system in their home country, to become the number 1 hero, or even just learn more about their quirk... Michi wanted none of that. She had no desire to be a hero, to butt her head into peoples' business, she had no desire to become number 1, the popularity would be annoying. She didn't even want to save people; if she had her way, she wouldn't see any of these peoples' faces again after she completed school. Being a hero was the exact opposite direction she wanted her life to go, she was only here because she needed the education this place provided so she could do that.
"I want to help people," she lied as easily as she breathed. That was all the introduction she needed, as far as she was concerned, and she moved back to her seat, carefully sliding into it, her ear, by instinct, still searching for any creak or crack that would signal a collapse, though it had yet to come.
