Back at the base, Brandon attempts to get himself some peace and quiet to himself. Yes, that is a bit odd, but he needs something to get himself ready for the big moment. So he needs a way to calm himself down. He just yawns and stretches his arms as he walks inside the inn, looking for a drink to quench his thirst. Perhaps a small water can do...actually no, it kinda has to be water, if he drinks anything sugary or with caffeine, it might impact his activity later on. You can't risk getting a sugar rush or crash in the middle of a job.
Grabbing a bottle of water, he goes outside the inn and leans on the wall, uncapping it and preparing to chug it down. Often times after he finishes up his transformation, he requires like 4-7 bottles of water to calm his body down from the intense internal heat. All that steam gets you worked up, both in terms of sweating up a storm and burning up your body to the point where its practically a furnace. A lot of quirks fuck up your body in different ways, and for his case, thats the burden he has to carry every time he wants to become a cool looking dragon-clad warrior.
He sighs as he places the bottle on the ground, looking ahead of himself. Nice night, but soon it's gonna change. It's just that knawing feeling in the back of his mind, slowly eating away his patience. And he is known for having not a lot of that as well. Something big is gonna happen, and he's gonna have to get ready for it. He then looks at where he placed his water bottle at, and-
"...Wh-wha." He looks down to see a somewhat weird creature near the bottle. "...Uh." He stares at it with confusion. "...Um. Th-that's mine."

Master joined a group of people, and now they were here on a mission. But Master left without the animal, so now it just stayed put and waited until Master came back, because this was super important, some real bad stuff was happening. But, it was really hard to stay put when someone was messing with food and water. The critter walked over to the bottle of water and sniffed it. It then noticed someone looked at it. The animal looked up, very confused, just as confused as the human who stared back.
When he said that the bottle was his, the animal backed away from the bottle, and continued to back away until it reached a wall and then a corner of the room. It just had a bad experience with adult male humans, he didnt know if the human would hurt it. But still, the animal needed to wait for its Master, hopefully she would come back soon, because if not then the critter would be really really sad. It couldnt really remember the last time the Master took it on a mission. That was a bummer to think about, but they were all here, that meant something, right?

Where did this thing come from? Like, did it scurry alongside the street, looking for place to place for something to eat, or did it like come from the roof as it crawled on the walls, trying to find it's next prey or something? Like, bugs do that, right? One time there was somewhat of a outbreak back at the shop, and he had to come in while Kent was continuing to work on his little project, so he spent the majority of his day removing every little ant with repellent. So many of them crawling on the walls, makes you think why Kent still stays at that place even if its mainly clean now.
"...Huh." Seems the little guy can understand him, or at the very least has enough of a mind to step away from him. But now it feels like he kinda scared the little fellow, as it just coops itself up in a corner, not wanting to cause any trouble for itself or for Brandon. It feels like he kinda messed up here, it's a bit hard to put it into words. It's like when you make a dog sad by accident, and then you just can't help but get sad about it as it mopes on the ground. You don't want to make a dog sad, what's wrong with you? If Brandon were inside doing the deed in front of people, he'll get so many daggers staring right down his very soul.
"...Gah, fine." He picks up the bottle, slightly gets closer but not too close, and sets the bottle down, walking back to his spot. "...Well? You can have some if you want, little guy. You don't see too harrmless...or at the very least not at the moment." He places his hands in his pockets once again, with his eyes facing the centipede's direction if he takes the apology bait.

The animal looked at the human and blinked. He didnt seem to get angry or attack, infact he seemed apologetic. He picked up his beverage and approached the critter, but not too close. He set down the drink and went back to his place. The animal blinked for a moment and then slowly approached the bottle beverage thing. The animal sniffed the object and then looked at the human.
It approached the Brandon and sniffed his foot to get his scent. After which it just crawled up his leg, torso and then just stood on his shoulder to rest. The animal observed the human Vigilante up close. This was one of Masters friends right? It tried to calm the human and show it that it means no harm. So it attempted to nuzzle him with its fluffy mane a bit. It didnt wanna do it too much to piss him off. So it stopped and then looked at him more to see his reaction. The animal rested on his shoulder and looked aroud the room since this was a relatively high place to look from.
The animal wondered what would they do and why were they here? Maybe some hero stuff?

When he was a kid, Brandon wasn’t much of a pet person. Like, he didn’t hate animals. If there was a stray you bet your ass he would he go get them some food or water, he isn’t a monster. But he just felt like if he were to take care of one he’ll be a shitty owner. Forgetting to take it out for walks when it feels like it, fighting with it whenever they want to steal his food, arguing with it, a lot of stuff that feels...well actually he kinda knows some pet owners who argued with their pets a lot. Especially for those minor things as well...the p-point is, he’ll be a shit owner somehow.
This little guy for example. If it didn’t already make itself known as afraid and aware of itself, he would be more afraid of it climbing on his jacket and perching on his shoulder, like a sort of carrier bird...or is that on the arm? Think it’s more on the forearm rather than the shoulder. Either way, his eyes are shaking a bit, as it innocently rests on what is apparently a new friend? Mentally he s freaking out, but he tries to show face. Beside it’s not hurting him, in fact it’s mane is kinda fluffy, so why the hell would he provoke it.
“...gaaaah…” he sighs out loud. “Well...you seem harmless enough. How about we go out to see the city tonight? Although…” he frowns a bit; how would anyone react to this perching on his shoulder? Eh, this city’s seen weirder. “Nah, it’s nothing. Alright, buddy, there’s some nearby food stands. What do you want? Just shake your head if you want it. We got, uh, sushi, ramen, and there’s a quick chicken place. Any of them strike you up?”

The Vigilante wanted to go out to city. Would they do like secret hero crime fighting stuff that Master did? The animal hoped so. It wanted to show this human that it was useful to their cause. Its not like this human was evil and was gonna like manipulate it. This was a nice guy. A bit weird, nervous and scared, but nice nontheless. The animal shook its head as it did want to go out. It was excited to show him that it can fight and patrol. Master taught it how to fight and sniff out crime. And of course how to keep its eye peeled.
Whenever the human Vigilante decided to go outside, the animal would just look around the city, and if need be it would jump from his shoulder and just walk beside him as if its his dog. The animal wasnt quite sure how things went, but it did think of something, although it couldnt really convey its thoughts to the human which was a bother. It was a shame it couldnt speak or write or draw. Maybe one day it would try to emulate human actions, but today was not the day. What Brandon thought was an outing for food and snacks, the animal thought it was a dangerous mission against villainy.

Oh yeah sure, it was a dangerous mission against villainy. The villainy known as hunger and boredom. Seriously, he needs to find something to let out some steam (in his case, its metaphorical steam, not the actual steam he lets out during his transformation) before they do something big. If he crash and burns during the whole shipment invasion or something, it'll just make him the embarrassment of the whole thing. Kent will never let him live it down...neither can he. So he has to get himself something fast, or else that will surely happen to him...somehow. Life finds a way to screw over people, so might as well cover his bases.
He just heads towards one of the nearby stands, with this one selling takoyaki. Think the last time he ate takoyaki he threw up, but that was a bad batch since the next customer also started to throw up. He then almost threw a punch at the guy for daring to food poison them. Besides, this lil' guy is here so he might enjoy the thing. Can it eat octopus? Can it eat anything? he's starting to wonder now...well, as much as a good time as any to check out now.
He approaches the stand, with the owner preparing the next batch. He looks at brandon ready to great him but then steps back in surprise seeing Midori on his shoulder. Trust me buddy, same here. Brandon muses. Still, the mane is pretty fluffy. "Uh, two orders of takoyaki please. " He just looks at Midori, confused. "What? It's not gonna bite..or something..are you?" he looks at the creature perching on his shoulder, as the man stares at him funny before shaking his head, getting ready to prepare the batch. Once that was done, he places them in front of the Brandon and Midori, 6 pieces for each. Small sticks on top of them. "Alright...let's see here..."He grabs one and places it in front of midori. "Try this, might be good."

They were out, but there was no threat afoot, so far so good. The human vigilante approached a food place. The anial had to resist the urge to drool, otherwise he'd hurt the human. He ordered something called a tacoyucky. The animal looked at its human companion as it wasnt sure if he was asking the animal something. It just tilted its head in confusion.
Once the food was done, he placed some food for the animal. The centipede munched the food with its mouth and jumped off of Brandons shoulder to eat it properly. Once it quickly finished the food, it looked up at Brandon the human to see if he ate it yet. Since it did not know how fast or slow humans eat. The animal never saw humans feasting on the yummy food, so this was a new thing to see.
If need be the animal sat down patiently and attentively to watch Brandon as it really didnt wanna freak him out in any way. The best way it figured it could do is if it sat still, the less it moved the less it freaked out people. Thats what the animal learned during this period of time

Holy shit this guy just ate the whole thing. He thought that things like it wouldn't like since it just stared at the one he had in front of it, causing him to place it back in their container of sorts. Like, fair enough, it's a weird looking ball with stuff inside it, covered in extra stuff. If you just shove this in front of anyone who barely has an understanding of food like this, they would be weirded out as well. But to see it hop off on the cart, slightly scaring the owner away as it chowed down on the food in record's time...not bad. Guess even stuff like it has good taste.
Speaking of taste, he actually has to try his. "Here's how you do it normally." He grabs a small toothpick and pokes it into one of them, and places it in his mouth. Mhmm, way better than the last time, and this time he isn't vomiting it out! In his eyes that's a huge success and grand improvement over the old place. Like...whew. If these were bad as well, he did not want to see what this little guy will do if it got sick and start throwing up. Hell would it throw up? Does it even have a stomach to contain that stuff to regurgitate? Questions for later.
"You liked it? Alright, where to, next..." He places his arm near it so it can climb up again, leaving the confused and worried owner to his own devices. Next stop is...uuh...Hmm. Not sure, actually. "Where you wanna go next?" he asks him. Meanwhile, nearby in a small alleyway, two gang members are talking to themselves over something. They are hungry. They have no money. So clearly the best thing to do is to rob someone. Not only that, they rob someone that owns a foodstop. Foolproof. They slowly approach the stand owner, causing him to turn his head in confusion as they grab him and drag him into the alley, with only a small yelp to come out. "Hmm? Yo-you hear that, fella?" he asks Midori, wondering if it payed more attention than he did at this moment.

The animal looked at the human Brandon eat his food, but he ate it strangely, so delicately. Why? Well, whatever the bizarre answer was, he seems to enjoy it, which is nice. Once he ate the meal, he placed his arm next to the animal so it could once again rest on his shoulder, which actually surprised the animal that he wanted that. Usually it got negative interactions with male adult humans. But this was seemed nice. The animal happily crawled over his arm and rested on his shoulder and then looked at him where they would go next. But then the Brandon asked the same question. Where to next. The animal just tilted its head since well... the two were on the same wavelength, they didnt know where to go next.
But while the human and the animal were thining the same thing, there was trouble brewing, and of all places... trouble was brewing on the place where the duo just was. That food place, as some hooligan gang members had the bright idea to rob a foodstop. As the bad people dragged that human away, the animal heard a yelp, and so did the Brandon.
The animal jumped off of Brandons shoulder and landed on the ground. Like a dog it looked around itself at its surroundings, it listened carefully and tried to sniff the area. And when it realized where trouble came from, it ran. It ran ahead to lead Brandon there and to help stop the bad situation. This would make Master proud right? Stopping crime

And with that, the little guy flew off. Or rather, it jumped off and scattered towards the sound, like an overexcited dog going towards what can possibly be its owner rinding the door bell. Either that or someone new to bark at....Actually. Does this thing bark? The mouth is kinda covered by the whole green eye thingy, but it has a mouth nevertheless. Which means..can it even make a noise? This is some deep introspection that he has never thought about. The mechanics of how this little guy work, in what degree does it eat, sleep, feel, and all other sorts of nerd stuff that anyone but Brandon can think about in a reasonable manner. he just thinks: OH SHIT A NOISE. Questions for later.
So he follows suit, following the small guy towards the origin of that odd noise. And wouldn't you know it, the little guy can apparently hear stuff despite not having evident ears...or much to be honest. Again, questions for later. Right now though, it's time to save some people. "Oi!" Brandon yells out in his usual angry tone at the two assholes harrassing the man, "Hell are ya doing!" It's kinda obvious form the way they're grabbign the man and stealing his money, about to head out to eat and steal everything in his cart. But honestly, with how much shit happens due to not asking people what theyre doing leading into misunderstandings, he has to cover his bases. The punks just grinned and pushes the man to the ground, then look a bit confused at the weird looking bug standing there.
Brandon stares with fury as he slightly steams a bit, his blue scale vents slowly showing up on his skin. Not too much, but enough to show him literally steaming with anger. He readies a boxing pose as he grits his teeth, rushing in to slug the man right on the side of the face. He stares at the other, who decides that this guy isn't worth it. Instead, he'll take his chances with the weird bug thing as he attempts to kick it. Probably a bad mistake on his part since neither of them, including Brandon, have no idea what Midori's capable of. Brandon thinks Midori will just chomp down on his foot, not gonna lie. Or maybe like...use its fur mane to like...uhh...choke him? somehow? Eh? It's possible?

Arriving to the scene of the crime, it was the Brandon who verbally confronted the bad guys first, asking them what the hell were they doing. They pushed the victim human away and then!!!
...
They just stared at the animal who was like on high alert for like a sucker punch kind of attack. The animal was growling quietly as it awaited who would throw the first move. The bad guys or the Brandon. But it turned out the bad one was the one who went at it first, starting off with a kick to the animal. As he went to kick it. The animal used its quirk and spat acid at him, aiming for his leg to burn it.
After which is just jumped backwards to gain distance from the bad one and just ... roared at it? The sounds which this animal makes is hard to describe. Its feral sounding, but nothing quite like what a normal animal would sound like. The animal wanted to scare away the bad one and save the victim human civillian thing. Also it was careful as it didnt wanna charge in for a bite yet. The bad human had to be further weakened first First clip/first few seconds for the sound of its "roar"

holy shit that's a loud screech.
Brandons eyes slightly widen upon hearing it. Hell, the other people he was close to (the other thug, the owner) were slightly taken aback by what this small little thing was screaming out. Well that and the sudden acid it spewed out of its...mouth, aiming right at the thug's leg. Don't think any of them would have expected that from that little guy. Like seriously, it has a big puffy mane, you don't really expect it to generate such a sound like that. As for the acid spewing...well...it's...uh...green? So that kinda gives it a reasonable link it and having the capacity to spew acid.
Brandon looks at Midori, slightly glad that they didn't do that when he was riding his sleeve. He was grabbing the other thug at the moment the acid event happened, so he just shoved the man right to the wall, a befitting karmic punishment for having done so to the owner. He then rushes up to the screaming man, who is reasonably screaming out in pain due to the acid that burnt through his pants and came into contact with his flesh, slowly hurting away. He can't even pat it down with his hands, or else they'll start hurting as well! As the man struggles to stand there, Brandon comes from behind and punches him, making him land near Midori, face down.

It seemed everyone was surprised by the sound the critter made and the thing it could do. The animal looked at the Brandon who also looked at it. The animal wondered what he thought, was he impressed?? He grabbed a bad guy and shoved him right to the wall. He then rushed the injured bad man and punched him which caused the bad man to land near the animal face down.
The animal was satisfied by its job well done and wagged its mandible as if it was a tail, it also 'barked' and made ...erm.. noise clicking monster like noises as it celebrated. It then walked over to the Brandon and sat down as it awaited his next order of action. The animal then looked towards the victim human but didnt do anything.
At this point the animal simply didnt know what to do. Once someone stops bad crime, what next? Just move on? Well, knowing humans they probably had some other strange stuff to do. The animal looked at the Brandon and hoped it didnt scare him away. It would be a shame if the Brandon hated the animal as it looked like they were just starting to get along

Does this guy belong to anyone, right now? Is it like a literal bug scampering around the city, or is this, against common sense, an actual pet? Because if so, Brandon's kinda tempted to bring it in as his own pet. Like seeing this guy at the shop, ruining Kent's stuff while he screams and cries about all that hard work after he joked about brandon not understanding common stuff, eating ramen with it...imagine. Sure the acid can cause some slight issues in the long run: it can ruin his jackets and coats, as well as his training equipment. And if it ate at the same speed as it did with the takoyaki, then he's gonna have some competition when food arrives. Still, might nice to have this weird lil guy be a pet.
The guys seem to be easily silenced. Just one punch, one wall shove, one acid leg burning, and another punch made quick work of it. "Nice job, lil guy." He grins at Midori, heading towards the guy to pick him up and get him on his feet. "You alright there, man? You really need to be careful when serving food near alleyways." He looks at Midori, somewhat scared of the acid spewing thing. "Hey, come on, he doesn't bite. just as long as you don't attempt to kick it like that dumbass did."Brandon grins as the man nervously laughs.
They go back to the food stand, where he bows down in appreciation. Brandon just shakes his head and places his hands in his pocket. He starts to serve up another order, making Brandon notice. "Huh? We didn't pay for this though?" The man obliges them to take it anyway. Brandon sighs. While he is a avid supporter of free food whenever, he doesn't really want it to be for takoyaki. "..." he looks at Midori, gesturing his head to the food so it can eat it all.
