The dark black with blue stripes jacket-clad vigilante known as Drag-On, with his hoodie up squats a bit as he waits from afar. Sure, they can do stuff right now. All this stuff is going on over there at the terminal, and all they gotta do is get in there and bust some weapons up. They got everyone here, everyone in the Storm Knights is getting amped up. Finally they get to do something big. But there's a damn reason they weren't going right now. It's all about planning. Once the actual dangerous shipments arrive, they'll be busy. All they have to do is keep an eye out for suspicious activity.
So...a better way to get an one up on these assholes was to set up a surveillance system. Nothing too major, just small cameras to allow the tech people back at the base to be able to look over from a safe distance. He was getting a bit antsy not doing much, so this is an ample opportunity to do some on foot work, instead of carrying stuff over from Kent's shop to their little hide out. It's an interesting place, what better way to scope out the place than to hide in plain sight. He feels a bit bad for the actual people wanting to stay in the place, but right now it's all Storm Knight occupied sadly. Lady's nice about it. A bit too nice. Are we even paying to be here, or is there something shady in the background happening...
An-anyway. Brandon was sent along with Red Edge to keep an eye out for possible places to set some cameras on, and if possible to place them discreetly. Alright, first problem there: Why send Brandon. Second problem: how are they gonna be able to set up cameras carefully and without being noticed. Do they gotta get like...disguises to work as terminal works, like for the piers or something, and put cameras down every corner? He bets Red Edge is wondering how to do that as well. For a kid, he catches up fast on things, so he probably has a plan brewing.
"...Alright, kid." he sighs as he gets off the ground and places his hands in his pockets. "Hell do we start at? You think we should put some cameras up close or something?" He asks his partner. He kinda wishes something big happens, just so he can DO something. It probably sucks to be anyone back at the base doing nothing.

As soon as word got out of the little deal that was going to happen, Kenshin was definitely on board with crashing the party. The idea of military tech and other dangerous weapons falling into the hands of criminal scum sickened the boy. No freaking way he would ever allow such scum to get that kind of weaponry! However, he did not exactly trust the law to handle this. After all, the military tech did come from Semper Fi. You know, the ones who decided to go berserk and try to attack every quirked person visiting the place? Yeah, no. Kenshin did not trust the military after they pulled a stunt like that. And he could not trust the law either. In all honesty, nothing less than seeing that tech get destroyed would be enough to satisfy the boy. Nobody should have that kind of weaponry at their disposal. It was too dangerous and risky. Even if the showdown was not going to happen right this instant (assuming the exact time of the deal would even be figured out), there was still something he and the other Storm Knights could do. Make preparations for the big day. So with that, Kenshin and Drag-On went ahead and began searching for ideal spots in the area to set up the cameras. It was good to be able to have eyes on the area without needing to actually be there. Knowledge is power and all that. The only question was how to do that discreetly. It would suck to get caught. Even more so if it was a member of the law. Kenshin had no problem kicking criminal ass, but as much as he distrusted the law, they were not his enemy. The boy wore his usual hooded jacket and cap to hide his very distinct hair. Hopefully no one would be able to easily recognize him. As he scanned the area, he heard his partner speak. Kenshin resisted the urge to roll his eyes upon being called 'kid'. He was no kid! He was fifteen! Geez! "We should probably set up a few at a good enough height. Better than at eye-level in my opinion. The higher up they are, the less likely someone will notice." Of course, with Kenshin being short, reaching the higher areas would be no easy task for him. Not that he cared about that. Although things would go far more smoothly if nobody was there to interrupt them, Kenshin would not mind if a couple of thugs decided to show up. He was honestly itching for a fight, so if any troublemaker did show up, Kenshin would be fine with that. | Word count: 444

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ In their marriage and in their vows they had sworn to protect the other as well as the ideas and goals that they wanted to reach and well that worked, she approved of his freedom, he approved of her support in this mission for as far as she could and that meant that she would hang out from time to time at Madam Ito's, she did not want to stay here all the time, especially not if G was working for well issues related to it because they had a little baby and she did not want to have a baby sitter all the time. Technically she did not even trust the baby sitter but that was just her mother instinct being a little bitch. She stood up from the stool. She felt like the longer she sat here and did not much interesting, she was writing but the words didn't come. She stretched, her hands above her head and just moving her body a little to stop feeling stiff.
She headed out of the cafe after she did enough stretching and took a deep breath, ugh the air wasn't really clean here but maybe it was because it was so busy here, she wasn't so sure, she looked around and well Shinagawa had to teach her a lot, she was not really used to the atmosphere of the cafe or the inn or whatever it was again. At least Madame Ito was nice to her but she felt like a bit of an obstacle as just a civilian here. She was also not really used on seeing people that she knew separately together and she had to tell herself to use people their alias, it took her a while before she remembered Brandon's but it was enough time as she was walking towards them slowly. "It's really strange to see you two together." She simply said, standing still, putting her hands in the pockets of her red coat and moving from the ball of her feet to the end and forth and so. What to say, she had said months ago she would interview Brandon if they ever bumped into each other and had time but she could imagine now wasn't interesting and that he was busy, well obvious they had enough to do and she smiled at Kenshin, busy boy as usual. She was just utterly bored at the moment and could use some time to kill before she would go home.

Brandon looks at the kid with a slight grin. “Now we’re talking! Get ourselves a bit of a birds eye view, right? Plus if they get caught or something, it’s gonna be annoying to get them off!” That is of course, unless they had weapons or guns or any quirk with reasonable range to shoot them down. Just throw a rock at it and it’ll crack the lenses and ruin the whole view. Kent will probably yell at him about ruining the cameras, probably mentioning something about how he lovingly crafted and repaired them or how much he paid for it. Come on now, don’t waste the merchandise. But that thought is pushed to the side as he surveys the area in front of him.
“Alright, so we got ourselves the obvious choices. We got big tall buildings with stairs to the side of them, and we got ourselves nice crevices on walls to like...shove them inside. Maybe they can stick in the cracks with like...wires or something? Will it like...how do the models we got work, anyway? Are they like, wireless or do they need a physical connection or...gaaaaaah, this is too much work for some dumbass cameras! Why do we gotta worry about this!? Can’t we just go out and beat them up and interrogate them? Like up front and close? What do you think, reporter lady?” He says to the sudden appearance of Hana.
“...” he looks at her, having fully realized who she was and that she was here. He looks at Kenji and then back at her. “....Uh. H-hi. Y-you heard, um, you heard nothing of that, nada, nope. ANYWAY!” He tried to diverge the topic, shoulder bumping Kenji to go along. “What are you doing here, Reporter Lady? You find yourself a new story or something here?” He nervously laughs as he puts down his hoodie.

Yes, it was ideal to have the high ground- er, the high viewpoint. Not only would they be able to see more, but it would be a lot harder to both find and remove (assuming the cameras were evn found at all). It was rather ingenious. The only problem that remained was how to get up high enough to place the cameras. The boy couldn't fly, there were no ladders, and he did not want to even suggest the idea of Drag-On throwing him up to gain extra height. If only walking on walls were possible. Sadly, that was not an option at this moment. Kenshin resisted the urge to chuckle as Brandon went on a tangent on how the cameras worked. A shame the boy wasn't super tech savvy, or he would have been more than happy to explain it. Kenshin's mind was almost one track. He just wanted to fight, kick some criminal ass. A sentiment Brandon shared. Now that would definitely be much more fun than setting up cameras. Sadly, this was important work to do, so it was not something Kenshin could afford to ignore or mess up. As boring as this was, he needed to give it all of his attention. Speaking of attention, with how focused the boy was on trying to find ideal places to set up these cameras, it wasn't until he heard a rather familiar voice that Kenshin realized that someone else had arrived. Oh shit! Quickly turning around, Kenshin was shocked to see who it was. Not that he didn't know who it was, as he recognized her voice. But more like shock to see someone who really shouldn't be here. "Wha- what are you doing here?" The boy was seriously shocked, almost to the point of worry. Hanako?! Why are you here? Does G know you're here? It's dangerous to be here! Serious shit's about to go down! I don't want you getting caught in the crossfire! But the biggest shock of all was the way Brandon spoke to Hanako. As if he had met her before. "Woah, woah, wait. You two know each other?" The boy had so many questions right now. But where to even begin? | Word count: 369

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ Maybe it was amusing, maybe she should be slightly offended, she wasn't sure if she should feel anything about the situation at all. It was highly amusing how Brandon reacted, that was for sure, she raised her right eyebrow and smirked at him, "Interrogation sounds like my cup of tea." But even if he ignored her answer or tried her to forget what he said, she simply crossed her arms in front of her chest and kept the amusing smile on her face. Maybe it was slightly embarrassing for the both of them and she shortly turned her attention to Kenshin. Especially because he asked her with a specific emphasis what she was doing here. God did G create an army of spies to wonder what she was doing here, no, she should not inform everyone that they were married now. God gracious now she had to be careful of her own words as well. Hm she could tell Kenshin in a way without telling Brandon, it depended on how well the boy would pay attention. "My my, it's as if you never saw other human beings in the area." She put her left hand on her cheek, showing off the quite shiny wedding ring that was around her ring finger, "to answer you both because it might come as a surprise, I was invited in here as well, the big boss got some connections with me and I thought I might be able to get some information for your jobs to be more easy, and yes, I know you both." She had no idea if Brandon was in the Storm Knights, that was the name right? But she knew for certain that Kenshin was, considering they were working together, she dared to make the assumption that she was right. "What are the cameras for?" She had met Brandon on two strange ocassions, offering an interview the next time they would meet but she wasn't sure if the incidents around Shinagawa were the situation and she looked shortly at Kenshin before lowering her hand and folding her arms again across her chest, what a situation.

People knowing other people isn’t strange. In fact it probably makes more sense that this kid would also know who she is with how much he has done, hearing small talk on forums and shit. But seriously, how does she know him, and him knowing her vice verve? It’s like the strangest of coincidences over here. He has no idea that she married that G guy, so he has every reason to be suspicious of her. He feels as if the kid would also be taken off by her sudden appearance (he thinks, not knowing that Kenshin knows way more of this situation than he does). “Well, we may have talked some few times and- that doesn’t matter, seriously why the hell are you doing here?”
Ah so she got herself a ticket to the inside. Makes sense. Doesn’t make sense how the kid knows her but that’s being pushed aside for now. Right now her reporter sense is acting up. The inherent curiosity of a reporter, something that can ruin plans and plans of secrecy with a single stray word released to the public. The public where everyone exists in. The public where tons of villains are hiding in, seeing her words as well. Why the hell would he tell her about the cameras?
“Li-listen, Reporter Mizuki, this is supposed to be secret stuff. Nothing that you or others should get involved with. You know how it is. Right, Edge?” He looks at Kenshins direction hoping for some backup.

"It's not that. I was just..." Kenshin was worried for Hanako's safety. But he was unsure if she would feel insulted if he insinuated that she was a damsel in distress. "I wanted to make sure that you're doing alright. That you'd have no problem taking care of yourself in a place like this. This isn't exactly the safest neighborhood, after all." He did not want to even think about the possibility of Hanako getting hurt or being put in danger. Well as long as he was here, Kenshin would not allow anyone to even try. As he listened to Hanako speak, he noticed it. Wait, is that a freaking RING? OH SHIT! So she and G were officially married now? Aw, he was happy for them! Well he would have to find a way to congratulate the two sometime. Now was not exactly the time and place for it. But still, with the boy's facial expression and how much his eyes widened upon seeing the ring on her hand, Hanako would not have any doubt on whether or not the boy noticed. He definitely did. So she was here to gather information on the whole thing? Well Kenshin supposed that it made sense for her to want to help G out in any way she could. Though the boy was uneasy with the idea of Hanako putting herself in potential danger, he supposed that if G trusted her to be able to look out for herself, then he should not really have to worry. Come to think of it, Kenshin did not know if Hanako knew how to fight. It was not too much of a stretch to assume that she could. It would be pretty interesting to see just how well she could fight if that really was the case. But again, that was a thought for another time. So she did know Drag-On? Interesting. As Hanako asked what the cameras were for, Brandon seemed hesitant to answer that. It was completely understandable. The guy did have a point. This wasn't anything she needed to be involved with. But at the same time, Kenshin trusted Hanako, so if she did know what they were for, it was not that big a deal. Plus, even if he didn't tell her, she could always just get the info from G somehow. "We just want to have extra eyes out. Better to know what goes on in the area once the big event starts, and also when to crash the party itself." Kenshin hoped that this answer was both vague enough to not reveal everything, and clear enough that Hanako could pretty much get the gist of it. "There's no harm in telling her the basic stuff. I trust her. Sure we don't need to divulge everything, but I don't see why we need to keep her completely in the dark."Maybe he was being naive. Maybe Hanako was better off not being involved here at all or knowing anything that did not concern her. But the fact was that she was already here. And Kenshin was not one to turn friends away. She would never rat them out. So what was the harm? | Word count: 533

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ Brandon's reaction was simply said: very funny. He tried to be casual to end up with the question why the hell she was here. She turned her blue eyes from Brandon to Kenshin and she gave him a small smile, "I will be fine, this won't be my first rodeo." But yes those were different, the boys here wouldn't need to know though but she flaunted about and looked from one to another. She raised her eyebrow at Brandon but a smile on her face, "I can also ask the big guy, hmm what's his name G?" She did not plan to tell the vigilante about their marriage, not yet. Her attention turning back to Kenshin as he seemed to understand that she could just get the information elsewhere. She crossed her arms and nodded, "That's a very nice idea." More she did not say because well it was just curiosity, it wasn't something that she specifically needed to know. His following words were rather amusing to her and she actually wondered how much respect Kenshin had as a vigilante.
Surely he was a child but did they see him in that way, she had no idea, she had read a bit about it, Red Edge and that was enough and still it was curious to know, she turned her attention to Brandon, how funny how she met the two of them in such a different setting and she wondered why no one told the boy to go to the hero school or so, because she would, heck that's what she discussed with Elena and Yui. Why was no one a reasonable adult around these jobs? But that wasn't her job, "You have not seen anything strange yet around here than?" It was a simple question, they might if they were looking around for placing cameras. She had no idea how to sneak into the auction but she would soon.

He just glares at Kenshin while the reporter continues to treat it as if it were nothing grand at all. He's a bit miffed. He's not paranoid at all. Shut up. He just thinks it's a bad move to go around and- oh goddamn it she knows who G is. Seriously, why the hell does everyone here not care about the importance of privacy?! They're still out in the open, you don't say stuff like that ever so casually!
Look, he's not paranoid, damn it. It's just...listen. It's weird to be saying it out in the open. Seriously.
Can't you blame him?! Gah this is too confusing! Seriously, stuff like this should be secretive, not be said out in the open like it were yet another casual conversation. You don't go up to people and go 'oh hey here's our secret plans to stop this stuff from happening, feel free to use it in whatever manner you desire, its aaaaaaaaall up to you random unconnected person.' Even vague stuff isn't kosher. People aren't that dumb; they can pick up on context clues if they think long and hard about it. So just saying something about keeping an eye out! HE'S NOT PARANOID, COME ON. HE'S JUST BEING REASONABLE.
Brandon sighs as he shakes his head. "Fine." He grumbles a bit as he looks back at her. "Just the usual stuff. Weird rumors, weird stuff, shady people over there at the terminal and around it. Kinda why we're here. Like what he said, if something big happens, we'll be the first to know of it and respond to. Or at least..." he tosses up and down a closed water bottle, brought just in case he needs to cool off after potentially using his quirk. "That's the idea. Problem is...we dont know where the right place is."

Kenshin still was not completely fine with the idea of Hanako being here in such a dangerous place, but as the lady put it, this wasn't her first rodeo. Hopefully she would not have to have the need to put those words to the test. Hopefully, this would just be a quiet and uneventful time. Brandon's glare did not go unnoticed by Kenshin. The boy could understand where the guy was coming from. It made sense, and in literally any other situation, he would agree with the guy. But this was Hanako. So Kenshin saw no harm in telling her. And a quick glance around the area showed that no one else was around to eavesdrop. And even if they were, it was not like they could hear what the boy was saying. It was not like he was speaking loudly, proudly declaring the Storm Knights' plans for the whole world to hear. Only Hanako and Brandon could hear the boy speaking. He was many things, but stupid? Not one of them, despite what others may think of him. With Brandon answering Hanako's question, Kenshin did not really feel the need to step in to speak. The guy pretty much covered everything. Nothing out of the ordinary just yet, though Kenshin had a feeling that things would not really pick up too much till the main event actually started. Speaking of that, it was a shame that they did not yet know just where the auctions would be happening. Kenshin was confident that the place would eventually be found, but not knowing right now really sucked. "We'll figure it out. Hopefully sooner than later, but I'm not too worried."He was more concerned about the people who would be showing up. Or more accurately, the kind of shit they'll try to pull once their little party got busted. That was why he was concerned for Hanako. | Word count: 316

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ Hanako looked at Brandon, which was highly amusing, it was clear on his face that he did not like the whole conversation or the fact that she was here and she turned to Kenshin shortly too. He did not seem to be fine with it either and she smirked. The fact that she had convinced G was a lot more interesting now, so they all agreed she was just hopeless and useless probably. She wouldn't call it that though. She looked from one to the other, "So you need a better place for that?" She looked at the cameras and shrugged, "I would go closer to the container yard for that, after all isn't that where the auctions would be?" She looked again from one to the other, they would probably want to cover more ground but still she would start from there towards here and cover a certain radius. "After all, I don't think the people there are much interested in something else." She was disappointed a little that nothing was happening, which made her mentally kick herself. She should be glad, no problems for her husband or Kenshin or people she knew and her eyes lingered shortly on Brandon and she nodded. She clearly felt she wasn't invited but she wanted to not walk away on their accord but on her own and she wondered what G was doing if these guys were installing the cameras. She had asked him but not clear enough apparently, they would have some things to discuss after today or after this whole fiasco or whatever you wanted to call it. "You seem like you want me gone so maybe I should." She smiled though, it wasn't even annoyance, it was clear she was holding up the job at that but well it was all fine. "Well, I expect you at work still, Red." She mentioned because she had no idea what the ruling was that G had said between the two of them and she was highly unaware of it.

The container yard?
...
...
...
Holy shit that might actually work. How did he not think of that?! Come on, it was the stupidest most obvious thing ever! Come on, Drake! Even you're not that stupid to not know why that's a golden idea. The container yard, by pure definition...has containers to put their merch in! And with all the merch in one tidy place, they can just torch and burn the place down and make sure no one gets the damn supplies! That or crush it with their own hands if potential. Either way, like hell would they allow both the police and the villains to have this shit in their disposal. It's all gotta go. Sorry Kent, but all of it has to be destroyed.
"...Y-yeah! The container yard sounds, uh, good. We can sneak in and place cameras on old containers so we can keep a closer eye on them! Th-thanks MIzuki, I uh...Alright, yeah!" He grins somewhat stupidly as he looks at Kenshin. "Well, you heard her. We need to get the cameras there. No time to waste, not with this timeframe." He stares back at Hanako. "Just make sure to leave if there's ay noticeable trouble. No use reporting on shit if you just die from it immediately. Come on, kid." He motions Kenshin to follow him as he starts to head off.

Upon hearing Hanako's suggestion, Kenshin had to resist the urge to facepalm. How did he not think of that himself? In retrospect, such a place seemed extremely likely. So much so that the boy had initially thought that such a place was too obvious. But sometimes, it was the more obvious spots that were the most ingenious of hiding places. But Kenshin immediately spoke up after hearing the lady's next words. "No, that's not it. We- I mean I don't want you gone." Of course, Kenshin could only speak for himself here. Brandon could voice his own opinion on the matter, or not if he didn't feel like it. "I'd just rather play it safe and make sure that you're not gonna be attacked. Like, if some dumbass attacks me, I don't really care. But you? You have people who care about you and want you to stay safe." Not mentioning names, but it was clear he was referring to G, Miku, and Haruuhi. "If someone stronger than any of us were to show up, I'd feel horrible if something were to happen to you."Sure, it was a bit hypocritical for Kenshin to say something like that. He too had people who cared about him and would be devastated should he be injured. But to Kenshin, Hanako's safety was far more important than his own. He could take care of himself. Not that the lady couldn't, but should something horrible happen to one of the two, Kenshin would much rather it be him than Hanako. "Yes, ma'am." Of course, that did not mean that Kenshin was just going to throw his own life away. He was reckless, not stupid. There was no way he would let himself get hurt so easily! He had a job to get to after the madness of Shinagawa was over. And his family and friends as well. Of course, there was no time to waste! After resisting the urge to roll his eyes upon being called kid, Kenshin nodded. "Yeah, let's go." He looked at Hanako. "It's up to you if you want to leave or not. I won't stop you either way. But if you are coming, then stay close." Kenshin hoped that this would be unnecessary, hoped that no dumbass would try to attack, but with the number of crazy people here, he could not be too sure. all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ She tried her very best, her utmost best not to laugh at the blank expression on Brandon's face because it was hilarious. It definitely took her some time to put her face into shape and she looked away from the two of them eventually. She shook her head slowly at Kenshin as he tried to protect her or maybe he was afraid that her feelings were hurt but that wasn't the case, she would be fine. She turned away from him, planning to go until she heard what he said and turned her attention to him, "Don't you say that again Ken-" She lifted up her shoulders, "Red, you have people that want you save as well and that includes me." And she stared shortly at him before putting herself upright and taking a deep breath, saying she expected him to be at work whenever he had to work, because she clearly did not know his roster. "Well you all have a task to do and I agree with Drag-on here I don't want to get into trouble, I would have a man kicking my ass after I promised I wouldn't do so. I will interview you both later. Have fun." Which sounded much more like a better ending than simple good luck and she waved them goodbye and returned her walking round to Madam Ito's. Ugh, it would be so boring to wait for G but she definitely would have to do so when being here. The sitter would definitely be expensive for the whole day. Maybe she should text him that she was going home. She mumbled a little to herself, she could maybe come up with an interview later for both of them. She wasn't so sure about Red but she shouldn't shut Kenshin out. God thinking abuot what her readers thought of that was maybe what made her worried. Oh well who cared.
