SITUATION NORMAL OF ALL THE WORDS THAT COULD DESCRIBE TOBIAS, “outdoorsman” was certainly not one. So, when he caught wind of a certain, surprise first-year field-trip, he’d steered clear of it. Survival camp on the blustery peak of Mt. Fuji? No thank you! He preferred the creature comforts of a hot cup of tea, a good book, and central heating-and-air. These were things that nature simply could not provide the pampered redhead, and thus Tobias would avidly refuse venturing out into it.
That is, until one particular silver-haired companion had called him from the school bus, loudly proclaiming (and with a bit too much excitement then likely proper), that he’d almost crashed the school bus. Blank laughed his way through Tobias’s fretting, jovially suggesting that the dour redhead “come join the party”, citing the near-death experience as the excitement he was missing.
A groan escaped the igneous gentleman. What choice did he have? If he refused, Blank might do something even more reckless. Thus, when school was out for the day and the library closed, Tobias had clambered into his tiny sedan and set-out for Mt. Fuji, wringing his hands over the leather of the steering wheel.
The drive had been uneventful enough, and soon Tobias was once again in the company of the vibrant history teacher, who was practically un-containable, in his excitement. Their hangout went much the way that their hangouts often did. With Blank steering the conversation, and Tobias offering only the occasional, placid prompting. As the sun sank lower in the sky, Blank seemingly remembered that they had to meet at a checkpoint, and hastily pulled away, leaving Tobias’s sedan at the roadside.
The bespectacled man protested, but realized it was in vain. Perhaps he could coerce Blank to stop by on their way back down the hill. And, at the very least, Tobias had his book.
Tobias had drifted off in one of the seats of the bus, his broad shoulders hunched awkwardly against the window. Surprisingly mindful of his company, Blank had tossed a fleece throw over the slumbering redhead—too small to cover him entirely, but thoughtful nonetheless.
The roar and subsequent impact of the crash was what jarred Tobias into wakefulness. The windows of the bus rattled Tobias down to his bones, nearly knocking him from the seat.
“Heavens-“ the redhead grunted groggily, looking at the silver-haired eccentric in an almost accusatory way. How had he managed… to crash the damn bus… when they’d been parked? The bus was in-tact, though, and Blank seemed… just as startled as Tobias. Tobias roused himself from the seat, mopping at his mouth with his sleeve, and began to lumber down the aisle towards the door.
Smoke was rising above the trees, a short distance off.
“That does not bode well,” he remarked. Fire, in a forest. Not good at all.
It was about then that the communicator reverberated on the dashboard.
Quick, efficient footfalls through the trees, steam roiling off of the redhead’s exposed arms. He’d left his tie and coat in the bus, and rolled his sleeves up around his elbows. Not the most ideal attire for tramping around in the woods, in the snow, but Tobias would make due. His shoes were soaked-through.
There were more important matters at-hand.
He arrived at the scene of the crash, and the sight sent him momentarily reeling. It was like something out of a movie. The corners of his mouth twisted downward into a frown—well, perhaps that could be said for a lot of what Tobias did on the daily-- cinematic, for lack of a better word. He paused at the gash in the treeline, breaths heaving, adjusting his glasses. What could he do? He had no medical training-- he was an investigator, for goodness sake.
But he couldn't sit by idly, either.
The grim notion of “a head-count” simmered to the forefront of his mind. Wait-- the passengers would've had to have bought tickets, at which point they would've given their names. Perhaps there was some record of who might be on the flight? Tobias looked towards the cockpit, then surveyed the gathering crowd. Some were familiar-- U.A. teachers and students alike. Manpower. Good.
Tobias spied a flash of white hair, a young man, accompanied by two other students. At least, Tobias assumed they were students, as they were young and injured, attention fixated on the wreckage. He went to them, tapping each teen on the shoulder.
“Pardon me,” Tobias greeted, tone cool even in the face of this incredible tragedy, “May I please borrow the three of you? I have a task that is rather important, and I cannot do it alone.”
As if they had a choice. He gestured to the three of them, ushering them to follow him towards the front-end of the plane.
“Every flight has records of who's on it,” Tobias advised them, his voice steady, “So… we’re going to try and find it, and make sure everyone is present and accounted for.”
He cut a wide berth around the plane, over freshly-tilled earth and small, snapped trees, his expression as grave as ever.
“Every aspect of this rescue is important,” Toby continued, “But above all, we must ensure that no one is left behind. Are you up to this?”
He shot a rare smile to the three students he’d pulled, albeit a mirthless one-- students whose names, given his introversion, escaped him. They had to be scared-- any reasonable person would be, in such a situation. Even Tobias was. But he was their teacher, a pro hero, which meant that he had to act as though he were in-control... even if he had never been in a situation quite like this.

He was almost positive for once that nothing would go wrong during this trip. Alas, that is not the kind of life Jack had chosen. Especially as an apparent plane crashing interrupted their hike.
He smelled it first before he heard it. After their first challenge at the bridge, Jack would notice the distinct smell of gasoline in the air. "...Does anyone else smell that?" he asked, looking around a bit before the horrifying sight caught his eye: a plane falling right towards the mountain at top speed, with God-knows how many passengers on board. Apparently he wouldn't be the only one with the same idea in mind, as he and the rest of his team rushed over to the site of the crash, the booming sound reverberating in the forest.
What he saw was almost enough to make Jack faint. The entire tail of the plane was completely broken off, seats, parts, luggage, and people sprawled all over the place. The area itself was demolished, a once beautiful area of the forest now destroyed. Trees knocked down, scrape marks from the plane...it made Jack want to hurl. What on Earth could have caused something like this to happen???
His mind was already getting to work, trying to think about what he can do. Surely they wouldn't just let this sit by while people were likely hurt...or worse. His Quirk did at least have a lot of benefits besides combat. Maybe he can search around, try to find anyone who may be missing or hurt and get them back to safety. He pursed his lips, his eyes moving, his mind at work, trying to calm himself as he assessed the situation.
It was then that he felt a tap on his shoulder. He jumped a bit in surprise, quickly turning around. He went pale for a second as a red behemoth of a man stood in front of him. He almost didn't recognize him in his frantic and anxious state, and it showed on his face for a moment before he recognized him as the newer librarian...Mr. Murakami, he remembered. He quickly calmed down, still looking fearful of the situation as Tobias greeted him.
He got right to the point, asking if he could borrow him and Rosanna, the teammate beside him. He immediately nodded, his face shifting into one filled with determination. "By all means, Mr. Murakami, sir!" he said, his tone completely different that what he may have shown earlier. They were in an actual sitation right now; he couldn't let himself get timid now. There were lives at stake, and he needed to play his part.
Mr. Murakami quickly led them to the front end of the plane, explaining that the plane likely had records of who was on it. Jack nodded in understanding almost immediately, knowing that would likely come in handy in making sure that everyone was present. He was already eyeing the door into the plane, just waiting for the order to jump into action. His heart pounded in his chest, but he had a fiery determination in his eyes before the librarian even stressed how important this rescue was.
As he asked if the students were up to the task, Jack would glance up at him, ready to take action. "Just say the word and I'll put 110% into whatever you need me to do." he said, more scales already appearing all across Jack's skin. The moment he told the dragon what to do, he'd do his job accordingly.

Well damn. This was the kind of situation you'd only ever see in the movies, but yet here was Rosana and there was the crashed plane not too far from her. The entire thing was kind of surreal, she felt as if she were in a dream, her limbs all feeling a bit numb and she was light-headed. Though that could also be from the burning jet fuel that she was currently inhaling. Anyways, she wasn't paying much attention when someone had ran up to her and started talking.
“Pardon me,” Rosana stared at the man in his eyes with a pretty emotionless expression on her face. Actually, it could be compared to something more of a traumatized look. This was a crazy situation so she thought she was reacting pretty accordingly. The man rambled on about how he was hoping that they would assist him in finding missing person, or soon to be missing persons, that were on the plane. For some reason, she was standing next to Jack so he was also asked to aid as well, which was going to be an interesting combination of quirks but whatever.
“But above all, we must ensure that no one is left behind. Are you up to this?” "Oh, y-yeah, sure. What do you need me to do?" The girl stood there, shy and scared. She instinctively put one hand on her katana as if it was going to protect her or something, when she was the one who needed to do the protecting.

Once Isaac got off the bus he stretched his other limbs which were quite stiff after the long bus ride to Mount Fuji. Maybe next time he’d sit beside someone smaller than Isamu. Both boys were rather long and had broad shoulders so while at first the bus ride wasn’t too bad eventually the cramped feeling began to sneak up on the two of them. At least there was good leg room. Rolling his arms as he stepped onto the soil he walked around to see if there was anyone else around he could chat to from another bus or class.
While walking the irish lad noticed the white poofy hair of one of his classmates. "...Does anyone else smell that?" the dragon boy asked as the students were outdoors waiting to go on their hike. Awww man who farted? Was the first thought that came to wind as Isaac tilted his nose into the air and gave a few sniffs to see if it was indeed flatulence in the air. Hmm Gasoline? Is there a robot here or something? He asked himself also picking up the very faint smell of the fuel in the air.
Well that’s odd - ”Holy s-” the loud explosion of the plane crashing into the side of mountain echoed loudly across the area, cutting off what Isaac and more than likely what everyone else was saying. Was this a part of the training? Looking around to the teachers and other students it seemed like everyone was in an equal amount of shock. But maybe the teachers were just joking around and pretending to be shocked to give the trip a sense of realism? Like Blacktooth did in that one class? This was sadly just wishful thinking. Isaac looked transfixed on the now destroyed scenery around the wreckage of what was once a beautiful landscape. And dead center was a large mechanical machine that 5 seconds previously was in the air. Not only did it fall apart but many other passengers and their belongings fell with it. How many souls did this freak accident claim? And how many would need to be saved? These thoughts raced through his head as Isaac himself ran through the trees and snow to the crash site along with everyone else.
As if he had read his jumbled up mind, a large bulky redheaded teacher showed up looking semi feral. Isaac recognised the gentle giant almost right away. If his looks weren’t a dead giveaway then his manner of speaking definitely was. The one and only U.A. librarian! Okay that wasn’t his official hero name and goes knows that there was more than him in the book department of the school but it was how Isaac knew the man. He even had tea and biscuits with him briefly once. But regardless of all that he came up to Jack and himself as well as a new girl Isaac had not met before, looking for their assistance.
Murakami sensei told the three that they’d be responsible for headcount. So the first order of business was finding the flight record. [That’s in the little black box right? He asked himself quickly, hoping that it was indeed the place to look. The plane was literally wrecked so Isaac didn’t think that it’d survive in any other part of the plane, but who knew? He sure as hell didn’t was was just waiting for the word go much like the other two who were ready and raring to go as they all followed them with an urgent fervor.
”No problem, we’ll make sure everyone is safe and accounted for.” he repeated in a confident tone with a similarly bright smile back at his sensei, although he too was feeling rather nervous about the whole thing. It was better to act confident though. Exude personality so even in this dire situation other people can try and feel the same way. ”I’m Isaac by the way.” He;d say to Rosana quickly as they followed their sensei. Better to get a quick intro out of the way so she wasn’t just shouting random profanity at him to get his attention. As he ran Isaac rolled up his sleeves as red markings began to spread over his skin. He had a few ideas on how his glue could be useful here but for now he just wanted to stand ready in case his quirk needed to be used in a sudden situation. As for the others, well he knew Jack’s quirk and Tobias’s was easy to see so all that was left was Joana’s. He was confident regardless of their quirks that they could accomplish this mission.

SITUATION NORMAL THE TRIO THAT TOBIAS HAD PULLED HANDLED DIRECTIVES LIKE CHAMPS-- admittedly, roll call was not the kind of action-packed search-and-rescue typically associated with hero work, but each rose to the occasion. Jack sounded-off, offering 110 % with gusto. Rosana haltingly agreed, asking for further directives through her glassy-eyed gaze. And Isaac, with a smile that went nervous at the edges, agreed to do what he would do what he could.
Tobias gestured to the teenagers, beckoning them to follow.
“Stay close,” Tobias insisted, “And, uh… please cover your noses and mouths. There’s no telling what these fumes will do to you.”
Shrewd hazel eyes swept the front of the plane, looking for flames, for victims, or for a point of entry. The cockpit had tilted at an obtuse angle to the body of the plane. It looked rather like a partially-crushed can. Tobias sighed, his hammering anxiously in his chest. None of it felt real. He had no frame of reference for this. He was a professional investigator, not a search-and-rescue hero. He glanced over his shoulder at the students—coordinating rescue efforts was, however, something he could do… though he didn’t typically perform such duties in the field… and never with teenagers. Scared teenagers, no less. Tobias steadied his breathing.
“H-hey,” he said, surveying his impromptu team. His tone had lost its usual floweriness, “We… we’ve got this, okay? I’ll take care of you, and we’ll take care of them.”
Maybe he should have something more—perhaps with more preparation, he could have said something more—but it was about that time that he felt a tug at his pant leg, from about knee-height. Tobias dropped his gaze towards the source, locking eyes with small, shivering child—much too small to be a student. His eyes were saucer-like, black hair sticking out at every odd angle. Tears seems suspended on his cheeks.
The man knelt reflexively.
“M-m-my… my… m-momma,” the boy stammered, trembling like a leaf, “I c-c-can’t find m-my mama.”
Tobias looked purposefully towards his students, then towards the boy.
“Where did you see her last?”
The boy sputtered, pressing the back of his hand against his tearful eyes. His face was a mess of snot and tears, but he didn’t seem to be injured. Just cold and scared.
“Sh-she… we… jumped. We thought it would be better to jump,” the boy sobbed. He stared past the quartet of rescuers, past the tail of the plane, “A whole… whole bunch of us… jumped.”
Oh God. Tobias rose to his full height again, fixing his students with a hard, hazel stare.
“Change of plans,” the man announced, “Search-and-rescue, first. No one gets left behind. We’re checking the trail that the plane cut through the trees for jumpers.” The list could wait. This was far more pressing.
He knelt again to speak to the boy.
“Will you help us find your Momma?” Tobias spoke. The boy nodded, sniffling bravely.
Tobias gestured again to his team of students, leading them towards the rear of the plane. The child did his best to keep pace, but stumbled as they moved.
“My feet are cold,” the child wailed. He was wearing sandals. In the snow. Tobias hoisted the child up with little strain.
“Sit on my shoulders,” Tobias insisted, “It’ll be easier to see your momma from there.”
He turned his attention to his students. His eyes were calculating, formulating a plan.
“Can you three tell me your quirks?” he asked, “We need to coordinate this… as well as we can. I have a… magma mode. Not useful with all this gas in the air.”
He would listen diligently as they climbed down the hill, moving quickly to the tail of the plane.
In its unforeseen landing, the plane had cut an enormous scar in the mountainside, farther than Tobias’s eye could see. Trees tossed aside like freshly-mowed glass, leaving hot, angry earth tilled in its path. At a glance, no passengers were apparent, but if one squinted intently enough, here-and-there movement would become apparent.
“We’ll need to spread out. Ascertain whether or not they’re injured before moving anyone,” Tobias insisted, “If they cannot move their legs, or have back pain, do not move them. Keep them warm, but leave them for trained professionals. Administer first-aid or CPR as necessary.”
Tobias peered back down the hill. He might provide more explicit directions once the teens made their quirks known, but for now these directions would serve them well. Above all the felled trees and tilled earth, a massive boulder rose like a blemish on the land.
“Some may be beyond the tree-line, so listen closely,” Tobias spoke plainly, “Anyone you find, take them to that boulder, there. See it? And if you need any help, our call-sign is… uh…” Toby pushed an anxious hand into his hair. Red hair, “-Red Team. If you hear “Red Team” and aren’t busy, aid your teammate. We need to watch each others’ backs.”
Tobias surveyed his team, sighing.
“Questions?”
If there were none, a stern directive would follow.
“Good luck.”

Jack felt a bit surprised seeing how nervous the librarian was. It was likely that this kind of experience was just as new to him as it was to the students, so that meant that all four of them were nervous wrecks. He was glad that Isaac was here along with them, though; a good friend by him, and a strong one at that, made Jack feel more at ease about the situation. Though, the newer girl did make Jack a bit more apprehensive, but there was nothing that he could do about that. They had a job to do. They could do this...but they needed to work together. They would likely need to split up, and cover more ground. Ok, Jack...time to step up for once.
Tobias tried reassuring the group that they had this. That he'd take care of them, and they'd all take care of the situation. Jack felt a small tug at his heart at that, but said nothing. He didn't really have time to get all sentimental. He looked around the area, trying to see if there was anyone nearby that would likely need to be escorted back to the plane. He felt his mouth start getting a bit dry, but just boiled it down to nerves getting the better of him.
As they walked, Tobias quickly noticed a small child tugging at his pantleg. Jack looked a little surprised, but quickly knelt with Tobias to see what the kid needed. The kid cried that he had lost his mother, Tobias looking at the students as he said so. Jack pursed his lips, already knowing where this was going to have to go. He was already trying to think about what he needed to do. He was partially glad he could control the size of his regular transformation depending on how much power he summoned; that was probably about to play a huge factor here.
The moment the boy mentioned that his mom and him, along with many other people, jumped, Jack had a look of horror on his face. Ok...this just went from bad to catastrophic. How many parachutes did a plane have normally? The dragon boy gulped, already doubling down on his plan to cover more ground.
The librarian then asked the group what their Quirks were as he had the kid sit up on his shoulders. He would let Isaac and Rosanna explain theirs, before Jack would simply say "I turn into a dragon." It was simple and to the point, and he already was prepared to transform. "I'll go with Mr. Murakami and the kid. Worst case scenario I can probably fly back any people that we find while we find the mother," he said, nodding confidently at the two before looking at Isaac and Rosanna. "You have my number, right Isaac? If anything happens that you might need the extra strength for, text me. I'll try to get there as soon as I can...assuming that's ok with you, Mr. Murakami?" he said, looking at the librarian, waiting for the proper permission to do so should the need arise.
Assuming that was all fine and good, after Isaac and Rosanna ran off in their direction, Jack would take a few steps back. "Gimme a moment...we're gonna have to be fast to cover ground, and I dunno if carrying the kid like that is the greatest idea, soooo..." He rather quickly transformed into the smallest regular transformation he could go, which was probably about as big as a regular car; more than big enough for the two to ride on. "Hop on," he grumbled, kneeling down so that they could climb on easier. He tried to use part of his smaller dragon transformation to soften his features a bit, so that he didn't look completely intimidating to the kid, nor anyone they may come across. Assuming that Tobias and the kid safely got onto Jack's back, he would take off running at top speed, keeping an ear out for either the mother or anyone else that may need a safe ride back.

Isaac nodded when told to stick close. There wasn’t any other real option other than to do just that though since Tobias was literally carving their path. Well Maybe Jack could just burn up his own route but with all the greenery that still remained and those weird fumes in the air any more open fires could result in a big boom! Speaking of the fumes Tobias said to be wary of them just in case so Isaac placed his elbow pit up to his mouth. The thought crossed his mind to try and make a small mask out of glue but that’d be weird for all to see. That and he didn’t even think that his glue would work well to block out the fumes. All of these little things were starting to give Isaac the heebe jeebes. This was like beyond any training they had received before. This was a real rescue operation with actual incalculable factors like the fumes. It gave the irish lad a sense of unease and paranoia of what else could go wrong. “I miss those cardboard dummies.” He thought to himself unable to think of anything else but his first rescue class which he failed. Even admist all this despair and uncertainty Tobias held strong. He lost his usual flare with words as he spoke this time but at the time Isaac didn’t notice. It was almost that bit more reassuring that the big hulking librarian was taking this very serious and was worried for the kids well being as well as the passengers who literally fell into this situation.
Speaking of the passengers one of them, a small boy no older than five appeared and tugged on Murakami Sensei for his attention. The large man knelt down at once but not suddenly. It was gentle yet quick, like a concerned father. Isaac seemingly was the only one who remained standing, just looking at the two heroes and child from above, like it would better help him access the situation. And admittedly he felt that it did. The boy cried that he couldn’t find his mother and later explained how he and quite a few more passengers jumped from the plane before it crashed. Wait, jumped? Like skydived out of the plane? And he didn’t have a scratch on him? Isaac was incredibly confused as he put his hand over his face. His reaction could also be perceived as shocked and rightfully so. Was it maybe someone’s quirk that helped everyone land? A multitude of questions now filled the boys head, pushing all of his earlier concerns out of his head entirely. At the moment the boy was too hysterical to be asking those sort of questions. Besides, the poor little divil was freezing!
Wondering what they were going to do with the boy since their mission was to get a headcount Tobias quick raised the boy onto his shoulder and announced that their plan had changed. It was gonna be a search and rescue mission first then get a headcount. Isaac put his thumbs up in agreement. He assumed that getting a headcount was the best course of action but seeing his sensei change his opinion at the flip of a dime changed his mind too. Not about the mission per say but about how in these situations priorities change and right now Isaac was relieved to see that his sensei was going to be more compassionate to this little boy. It honestly warmed Isaac’s heart. Enough to the point where he took off his own jumped, just leaving him in a long sleeved shirt with the arms rolled up. “Here use his to keep yourself warm. Can’t have our lookout gettin cold.” He said throwing the only warm piece of clothing he had at the boy. The second it left his hand Isaac realized how bad of an idea that was but it was the thought that counted! And as his kinda sorta grandmother used to say “You only get cold standin around doin nothing!”
Luckily the time for idle chatter was nearly over. First though and most importantly was quirk talk. As well as being a powerhouse Marukami had a… a Magma Mode? You’d think a librarian wouldn’t be so vague about certain information. Still he did admit that the mode wouldn’t be too useful because of all the fumes still lingering in the air which made sense so Isaac couldn’t really give the man too much grief. Now who he could smack about for being too vague was Jack! Well sort of. He just said that he could turn into a dragon which while being vague has hell did pretty much sum up his quirk. “He’s also really strong and can fly.” Isaac added since that was pretty vital information to leave out even if it was to be somewhat expected. “My quirk is glue secretion. But I can harden it like a concrete.” He described as red markings crawled up his arm. Now that was how you describe a quirk! But modesty aside he was hoping that it would explain how he could use it in this situation. After Rosana explained her quirk it was back to planning while Isaac kept his shivering to a minimum.
Explaining the new plan, Tobias explained the basics for them, telling them the dos and don’ts, the meet up spot and the safe word. Or um the team name for others to gather. Isaac wanted to just agree with everything Tobias said but Isaac had to ask. “With my quirk I can create a makeshift cast or splint for those people who have trouble moving. My glue is roughly body temperature too so it can keep people warm for a couple of minutes if we can move them. If that’s alright?” He asked wanting 100% confirmation from his sensei that this would be a good thing to do. He didn’t like having to question his sensei about this but needs must in this situation and Isaac believed his quirk could help immensely in this situation.
Hearing to split up Jack said he’d go with sensei with the child and fly around, leaving Isaac and Rosana, the two least experienced students to fend for themselves. “Excuse you, don’t just ask Sensei if he’s okay with it. What about us?” he asked with a look of annoyance on his face when he extended a hand out to Rosana to include her too. “We’re the least experience and sorry to assume Rosana but the weakest too. One of us should pair up with one of ye since Jack has more experience with this kinda stuff and well you speak for yourself.” He said waving in the direction of Murakami. “I dunno what the best teams are but me and Jack would work well together. Dunno how well it’d go but I think with his flight and my glue acting like a harness we could essentially airlift people out of harms way.” Even speaking out like this he didn’t want to act without the librarian agreeing. And then there was Rosana and her opinion about all this. So Isaac stood there with his arms crossed in the hopes of persevering heat listening to the reply of his teacher. God I hope I didn’t sound out of line with all that.

SITUATION NORMAL THE WHITE-HAIRED BOY SPOKE DECISIVELY, for a teenager. While decisiveness was good in the field, something about the boy’s unctuousness did not sit right with the librarian. He frowned. He wasn’t sure what it was, in particular, that bothered him—perhaps it was because it upset the chain of command. Tobias was the clear authority figure here, and here was a first-year taking charge. It wasn’t proper.
The white-haired boy announced that he could turn into a dragon, insisting that he’d go with Tobias and the boy, fly people as necessary while looking for the mother. He was also quick to clarify that Isaac, who Tobias assumed was the blue-haired boy, had his phone number—promptly changed forms, and invited Tobias to climb on. Isaac was, however, quick to retort, turning to Tobias for further input. They had a wealth of ideas, predominantly ones that involved breaking into teams based-on their abilities.
“Respectfully,” the librarian rumbled, clearing his throat, “We should spread out, to cover more ground. Orion-san and Onna-san, take the left flank. Onna-san, closer to the tree-line and Orion-san, towards the middle. Orion-san, we can use your alternate form to transport wounded passengers. Levin-san and I will take right-flank. I agree that using your adhesive in a first-aid capacity would be best, so you will take middle-right, and I will take the tree-line.”
Nervousness was natural, but what one did with it was what defined them. Just as with any murder or crime scene, once Tobias got-over the initial shock, he was strictly business.
“With Orion-san and Levin-san in the center, they can go to either side as necessary, and be within earshot of both myself and Onna-san,” Tobias concluded. The implication being that neither Rosana nor Tobias had quirks that were very useful in the situation.
“Work thoroughly, and not too quickly,” Tobias spoke sternly, “Carelessness can be fatal. Now, let’s go.”
That said, Tobias went into the trees, the boy still balanced on his shoulders. The child wrapped his arms around the crown of Tobias’s head.
“Can you tell me what your mama looks likes?” Tobias spoke lightly.
“She’s small, wears glasses, and has short black hair. She’s soft,” the child murmured.
“We’re going to find her. But we might find other people along the way. Can you help me look for them?”
The child shifted on his shoulders.
“What’s your name?”
“Shigeo.”
“Can you help me find people, Shigeo?”
“Yeah.”
“While we walk, we’re going to yell, ‘Hello, is anyone out there?’, okay? And if we hear someone, we’ll go see them. Okay?”
“Okay.”
“Let’s try— Hellooo! Anyone out there?!”
“Hello, is anyone other there?!”
The wind howled in their ears, and he child sputtered.
“No, we can’t give up yet—let’s try again. Hello, is anyone out there?!”
Further into the trees, a weak voice called back, a good ten meters from the peculiar duo— “Help me, please. Help.”
Tobias walked expediently towards the noise, his feet sinking into the snow. Steam roiled from the footprints he left in his wake.
“Keep talking, keep talking!” he spoke loudly, as if quieting a classroom.
“Over here.”
It was a young man, perhaps in his late teens or early twenties, slouched against a tree, blood dribbling from their head. His face was scratched along one side, one of his eyes was swollen, and he was cradling his arm.
“I am the pro hero The Informant,” Tobias introduced himself, “And this is Shigeo—we’re here to rescue you… can you walk?”
“Y-yeah,” the man stammered, “I h-haven’t tried. I think my arm’s broken, though.”
With the angle it jutted-out at, Tobias ventured to say the same. After some effort, the man managed to rouse himself.
“Follow me,” Tobias insisted, “We’ve got a rendezvous point set-up just beyond the trees.”

Jack quickly looked at Isaac with a look of utter surprise at his friend, which somehow managed to show through his draconic features completely. For that moment, his own fears and anxiety showed as well. He was flattered that Isaac had that much faith that Jack already knew what he was doing...but he really didn't. Just because he'd been there for an extra 4 months didn't mean he had any sort of experience with this sort of thing. It was just as new to him as it was to the rest of them; he was just a lot better at hiding it than previously.
He sat on his haunches, not really wanting to admit something like that. "...Thanks for the faith, at least..." he grumbled, giving Isaac a kind nod, which he DID have experience with doing in his dragon form. Clear priorities, heh. Tobias was quick enough to agree, making the dragon give the child a worried look, as he very much wanted to make sure he would be safe. It wasn't that he didn't have faith that the librarian could do his job, but his own protective instincts kicked in slightly. It was always something about kids...
He ran his paw through the top of his mane, letting his anxiety show one last time before he started to get serious again. "Fair enough...I can do this..." he said, trying to beat down his old habits of doubting himself into the ground. He would nod at Rosanna, and begin heading on the path he was to be set on. However, before he did, he stopped by Isaac, stooping down slightly as if he wanted Isaac to hop on, but instead he gave Isaac an extremely scared and worried look. "I still stand by what I said before, though. If you need me at all, don't hesistate to call me. Stay safe, we don't know what could happen here..." he said, giving Isaac a nod, hoping that he wouldn't take much offense for his worrying. He'd do the same for just about any of his friends; he was a worrywart, no matter the situation.
With that said and done, Jack would then begin to bound down his path, his size useful in covering ground. He tried his best to change his voice back to normal as he called, as he didn't want to freak anyone out if he could avoid it; though that was probably going to happen anyways, given he was a big stinky lizard. "Helloooo??? Is anyone there? I'm a U.A. student, I'm here to help!" he called, repeating himself every few minutes or so to make sure that people could hear him. His heart pounded in his chest, but he did his best to remain calm. He wasn't the same as he was before...he had to be confident in his own abilities...

"O-oh! My quirk? It's... illusions, except they're really large." She knows it wasn't exactly useful but it could get the job done if she used it correctly, only catch was she didn't know what correctly meant. Once again it was a situation where her physical capabilities are put to the test, something that been happening constantly for the past couple of situations.
It was all a bit confusing, but for the most part she could understand what was being asked of her, though she didn't know why. Maybe it was wrong place, wrong time but Rosana felt as if she wasn't going to be the right person for this job. Though on the other hand, she wasn't going to let that stop her. She nodded in response to Isaac to show that she understood but didn't really know where she was supposed to start. The best place was probably where she was told to go, flanking the area from the left. A nervous glance towards Jack would show that he was just as nervous as she was, but he was doing his best so why couldn't see.
And with that thought, Rosana took off. She kept close to the trees as instructed, scanning the treeline for people. From where she was, she could hear Jack's voice in the distance calling out for people. Maybe she should do the same.
"H-hello? I'm with UA! Is anyone out there?" She felt kind of dumb, yelling to nobody, but in the back of her mind she hoped there was nobody so she wouldn't have to find them in whatever position they were going to be in.

As Jack spoke up and promptly told his quirk and the plan he had in mind, Isaac noticed the concern in Tobias’s eyes shift to another emotion for a moment. Was it surprise? Or admiration? Or even jealousy? As a turn of events Jack was being very decisive in what he was saying and kept to the point and admittedly a little too keen to just go through with his own plan without any input from anyone else. That kinda stuff made Isaac very quick to reply but Tobias took a different approach and just listened to what they both had to say before giving his own calm level headed idea. Although much like Jack he didn’t really ask everyone if they were okay with it. That being said, at the very least Murakami was the teacher who knew what to do. Not to mention he gave clear and precise instructions for what he wanted everyone to do. If the situation wasn’t so tense Isaac probably would have made a note about how Tobias handled things. He was the pro and for whatever reason when the big redheaded man talked it seemed to just evoke calmness into the situation. No matter how brief it may be it was a valuable skill to be able to have for situations like this.
The only thing about Tobias’s way of speaking that Isaac had to get used to was his way of speaking. All those honorifics were throwing him off a little. Like sure they were the most basic japanese principle but people rarely used them! At least in his experience. Aside from the teachers who would get super mad, he addressed everyone and was subsequently addressed casually for the most part. He did call a select few people senpai but only cause they really liked it but being constantly called San at the end of his second name no doubt sounded strange to the irish lad. Still! The whole plan objective wasn’t lost on him.
Isaac’s smile grew more genuine as Tobias spoke. His confidence was starting to be filled ever so slightly. Murakami agreed with Isaac’s idea of using his glue to aid anyone who might need it. In fact it’d be so useful that he was put in the same league as Jack’s transportation qualities of his quirk and both first year boy’s would take center flank so they could come to the aid of whoever needed it. It made sense regardless since Rosana had what she described as an illusionary quirk. Maybe she could make big signals for everyone to follow? Given the limited information she gave Isaac just had to assume as much.
”Right!” Isaac said with a new air of vigor in his voice as Tobias dismissed them while also answering Jack’s question about calling him if he needed it. The cold he was feeling now felt like a minor problem as he went racing in his giving direction. Already he could hear the other three shouting. ”Hey! Anyone there? We’re here to help!” He called out in a lower tone than the others. No use having four people shouting as loud as the could, potentially drowning out the cries for help. Well this was just Isaac overthinking so every minute or so in between calling he slowed down his pace and listened carefully for the sound of a reply but also kept his eyes open. For all he knew people could be delirious and totally ignoring their calls hoping they could help themselves. Taking long deep breathes Isaac made sure not to get too flustered. He wouldn’t think of those possibilities but just be wary of them and follow the steps to avoid them. But still niggling at the back of his mind was how the boy managed to come out totally unharmed from such a large crash...

SITUATION NORMAL AS TOBIAS WAS GUIDING HIS FIRST SURVIVOR towards the tree-line, gently reassuring him that a “sidekick” of his was standing-by to splint broken bones and heal abrasions, the “sidekicks” of his party (students, if one wanted to be more specific) would soon be happening upon the first survivors who’d leaped from the plane. At times, the sounds of frightened crying and sniveling could be heard beyond the trees, as well as staggered cries of, “Help me~ anyone, help me!”
Broken arms and legs abounded with the vocal ones, or perhaps shallow head-injuries. Those were the ones who had jumped, and tried to land on their legs, or hands and feet, unsuccessfully. A young married couple, near Rosana, called back to her.
“Here, over here!”
The man’s leg was shattered, his eyes brimming with tears, and arms wrapped tightly around his wife. The woman, his wife, was unconscious but seemed uninjured at a glance.
Some luckier few might come staggering out of the trees, looking blearily towards anyone who might be of assistance, leaning against tree trunks for balance. Both Jack and Isaac could have seem them, if they looked closely enough, like ghosts coming out of the fog. One woman sighted Jack through the curtain of blood dribbling down her head and, clearly concussed, let out a panicked, and perhaps confused shriek.
The worst ones were the ones who couldn’t speak, but rather gurgled and spat blood. An old man coughed wetly as Isaac drew closer, as if to clear his throat, blood dribbling down his chin. They’d ruptured something on the inside, perhaps broken a rib or punctured a lung, looking oddly crumpled But the look in his eyes—sharp, fearful, desperate for someone to save him—was unshakable. The old man extended a withered hand towards the blue-haired boy, his hands shaking.
It was about that time that Tobias stepped through the tree-line with his first survivor.
“This way, please,” he spoke cordially, “We’re amassing some people at the boulder before ferrying them up the hill. We have a bus.”
“A bus?” the survivor remarked, “You were so prepared for a plane crash?”
“On the contrary, you were incredibly fortuitous,” Tobias corrected, “Students for U.A. were up here for survival camp. Now, if you see a blue-haired young man, ask him to splint your arm. I’m going to find more people. Do you need anything else?”
“No, sir, Informant, sir,” the man replied.
Tobias nodded, trudging back towards the trees, his hands clasped around Shigeo’s lower legs.
“Anyone out there?!” Shigeo called from his perch atop Tobias.
“Good lad,” Tobias complimented, before yelling, “Hello! Anyone out there!?”

Jack wandered through the broken forest, the mist making it difficult to see, even with his increased size. He gulped nervously, trying his best to keep an ear out for any survivors of the matter. He was honestly praying that everyone was at the least alive...even though the possibility of such was thinner than paper. He shook a little bit, not from the cold, but from his own fear of everyone's wellbeing. He knew that nothing could have been done, but...for people to die before anyone even had a chance to get to them? No...that couldn't happen...right?
He was broken out of his darker thoughts by a sudden scream nearby, startling the dragon, making him visibly flinch. He looked around for a moment before he managed to make out the thin silhouette of someone through the mist. If he could see them, they could likely see him, and thus the scream was most likely because they were scared and confused at the seemingly mythical shadow that was before them.
"A-are you ok, ma'am?! I know I look scary, but I promise you I'm here to help!" he called, his voice relatively normal, so hopefully the voice of a child coming from a rather big figure may be enough to at least reassure the woman that he was no threat. He thought about reverting back to normal for a moment, but it was risky on multiple levels. It could not only cause a huge strain on Jack's stamina, but it could also terrify the woman even more than before. He took a deep breath, and very slowly began to approach the woman.
"I promise, I'm not here to hurt you...my name is Jack, I'm a U.A. student. I know that my form is probably scary, but please, trust me so I can get you to safety..." he said softly as he approached, hoping that his now softer features made him appear less terrifying than normal, making him appear a bit more cuter, if anything.
Assuming that he was able to get close enough and not make the woman run away, he would stoop down gently in front of her, showing that he was now waiting for her to approach. "It's gonna be ok, ma'am, I promise. Will you let me get you out of this forest? I won't let anything else hurt you..." he said, praying that the woman would trust him enough to let him use his tail to lift her onto his back gently, letting her know that he was a peaceful individual, that he was here to save her. He was praying that he wouldn't have to resort to anything too quick or forceful...but he was hopeful that the woman would respond well to his overall demeanor.
If all was successful, he would fold his wings over the woman on his back, almost like a warm blanket. "Alright...just hang on..." he murmured, getting up and trotting back out to the rendevouz point. Between his warm body and soft fur, he hoped that the woman would be most comfortable on his back during the few minutes it took to get back.
As they would get back, Jack would promptly stoop down once more, either letting the woman get off herself, or assisting her once more with his tail. "Just stay here for now, ok? I gotta go look for any more people...it's all gonna be ok, promise," he said, mostly just trying to convince himself that was the case, before turning around and heading back into the forest, praying that the others were also finding success in their endeavors.

After a few moments of running, calling and looking the victims began to make themselves known. Isaac had tried to mentally prepare himself for people he may find. He didn’t expect them to come to him though. IIsaac stopped in his tracks when he saw the old man coming from the mist. He was beaten, bruised and coughing up blood. He looked in pain and panicked as he reached out a hand to Isaac. The blue haired boy though was in total shock. His eyes widened in disbelief. He had not quite imagined that people would be this badly off seeing the child earlier was relatively unschated. Bawling his hands into fists he steeled himself as he ran up to the man taking his hand. This was just some magic show he had to take control of. Don’t be worried or nervous you practiced. If you’re unsure they will be too!
”Don’t worry sir, everything is going to be fine.” he reassured as he put his other hand gently around the elderly man’s shoulder. Trying to slowly lead him forward. He was coughing up blood, that could be for any number of reasons. He probably got a heavy blow to the chest and hurt something bad. His back seemed fine though but any more unnecessary movement could be bad news. Should he just lead him to the bus or call Jack? Or maybe make him a stretcher and drag him there? It’d be quicker but a bit rougher. Isaac’s mind raced with the possibilities. He knew he didn’t have the luxury of time. He needed a second opinion. ”Murakami-Sensei!” he called hoping his teacher would hear. Isaac didn’t think it was necessary to just call Red team since a lot of his ideas were still up in the air. ”He’s a pro, he’ll know the best way to get you back safely. We saw the crash on our way here so we have a small base set up to help you.” he once again reassured the man. Calling for help so blatantly may have caused him to become more frightened and that was far from what Isaac wanted to do. Rescuing someone in distress took more than just picking them up and taking them out of a distressing situation. You needed to calm them down, have them relax or else more problems could arise.
Another concern of Isaac’s was Jack. If he heard his all he might just take it upon himself to get involved even though that was against what Isaac wanted. It was why he called for Tobi specifically. If he was just overthinking again then there was no need to get Jack involved especially when he could be taking more people to safety while he did this. The same could be said for the Librarian but his quirk like he said wouldn’t be too useful to get people to safety unlike Jacks. Isaac’s heart raced as he moved forward with the man, trying to warm up his feeble old bones. Please don’t take too long Tobi!

SITUATION NORMAL THE WOMAN JACK WAS TRYING TO COERCE to draw nearer would crack an absurd smile as the well-intentioned teen began to speak, laughing despite the tears that dribbled from her eyes and mingled with the blood on her cheeks. It was a nervous, off-kilter laugh, and she hugged her arms.
“Ehehe, a dragon, of course— ahah — and it talks,” she remarked, “A talking dragon. Of course it talks. Why wouldn’t it?”
It sounded like a teenager, which really only made it seem more absurd. The lady flinched as it drew closer, a hand fluttering to her chest. Clearly, she still wasn’t sure if the dragon meant harm, if it were real, or that it was actually a boy with a quirk, rather than some fabrication of her mind.
She laughed when the dragon offered to take her from the forest.
“I’m not in a forest! I’m in a plane! Ahaha, a plane!” she declared, “This has to be a dream. Yes, obviously, how else could you explain the dragons?”
She touched her cheek, it came away red.
“A very realistic dream.”
Having decided that none of this was real, the lady would carefully clamber onto Jack’s back, babbling to herself. The warmth of his wings seemed to assuage the woman’s distress, and she would close her eyes. It would become clear, however, once Jack reached the boulder that something more was at-play.
He would spread his wings, doing his best to console her as dropped her off—but the woman wouldn’t stir. She sloughed off his back as snow might slough off the hood of a car. She’d lost too much blood, and had fainted. And Tobias was already long-gone—only his rescued survivor remained.
“H-hey, you! Dragon! Something's wrong with the lady!” the man called, crawling through the snow to try and wake the woman. He used his good arm to pat the woman's cheek, still cradling his broken arm, “You’re one of the U.A. kids, right? A sidekick? Do you like, blow fire, or-?”
In any other situation, the question might have seemed irreverent, but the man beside the boulder was trembling from the cold. Neither he, nor the unconscious woman, were dressed for the elements. It was cold, and they needed something more substantial to keep them warm.
The old man winced when Isaac touched his shoulder, holding a cautioning hand palm-out towards the blue-haired teen. Clearly the gesture had stung him—he seemed to be sensitive around his shoulder and ribs.
At the very least, he was moving—which meant his spine was alright.
Tobias heard the cry through the trees. Not “Red Team” but “Murakami-sensei”. Whatever the teen had witnessed must have been truly terrifying to warrant calling a teacher instead of anyone available to help.
Tobias tromped through the trees, keeping Shigeo carefully balanced on his shoulders.
“I’m over here, Isaac!” his baritone voice boomed, “Keep calling-out!”
He came to the clearing, gaze whipping around for his student. He was warm, which meant his glasses were fogging-up too much to see. Tobias removed his glasses, spotted the familiar, blurred form of Isaac just up the hill, and marched towards him. He was with an elderly man who was bleeding steadily from his mouth, his breath rasped out of him. Isaac was doing his best to keep the man warm. Tobias clapped a hand on Isaac’s shoulder, in an attempt to reassure him, before addressing the elderly man.
“Good evening,” Tobias greeted cordially, bowing his head, “I am the Informant. I’m here to help. Sir, do you have any preexisting medical conditions? Cancer? Any disorders with the lungs?”
The man shook his head, wheezing.
“Are you in pain?”
A nod.
“Where specifically?”
The old man pointed to his chest, specifically the right side.
“You may have a punctured lung,” Tobias murmured. He surveyed the man’s shirt. No blood, except from his mouth it would seem. “Perhaps a broken rib. It’s hard to tell, or treat, without the proper equipment.”
The old man nodded again, still wheezing.
“Thanks,” the elderly man mustered. His voice was wet and raspy.
Tobias turned towards Isaac, smiling faintly, “Given his condition, it would be best to walk him up to the road, to the bus. He shouldn’t be out in the elements. Would you like to walk with him, or shall I?”
It was really a matter of what Isaac felt more comfortable doing. If he wanted to keep scouring the area for survivors, Tobias would let him—but who knew what he might find if he kept looking. In that case, Tobias would offer a hand to the elderly man, in start leading him up the hill. Otherwise, Tobias would continue his walk down the hill, periodically calling-out to survivors.
People would continue to emerge, in various states of wellness—some were unscathed, some showed signs of physical or psychological distress. But Tobias would continue looking.
