all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ Nimue came every day and the nurses from the hospital said that Kai surely did seem to grow well and more secure in his little body than before she showed up. G had done a wonderful job by thinking about her and it calmed down Hanako a little. She was out of her room, which was not something that happened often, she looked like a grey mouse, like the opposite of what she normally was. She did not say much, her hair normally shiny and loose was now in a knot on top of her head, a messy bun and her eyes had dark colours underneath. She walked slowly and seemed to have moments that she was in pain but she did not complain to anyone. She did not say that she was in pain when the nurses asked and asked, if she could rate her pain from 1 to 10 she would tell them it was about a two or a three, nothing to worry about, which was a lie, but without complaining she kept going to her training after the fall to make sure her hips and other muscles wouldn't get hurt. She made little round around the hospital but stopped doing that all together and mostly locked herself up. Her nurse was worried and seemed to have shared that with Nimue, who might have shared it with G. Hanako had no idea. Right now she was out of her room as she stared at the room where Kai was now, to give her some time to rest, they kept him sometimes in a special room where he would sleep, the lights out and so on, you could see the babies through the window if you looked carefully, a nurse in the corner of the room to make sure everything was alright. Mostly Kai was in her room, through day and night, her personal nurse looking after her and her little one but they wanted her to either sleep or get some fresh air, instead she stood in front of the window looking at him. She took a deep breath. It was the beginning of the afternoon and a beautiful day, the sun was shining brightly but not too hot and a little breeze. So they tried to get her outside, but nothing was working, their last hope was hopefully coming in soon to get their patient outside. |

He wished he could stay with Hana and Kai 24/7, but he couldnt. Sadly he had to go home, and well home he was miserable without them. Miku and Haruu at school. Hana and Kai at hospital. He was alone at home. He was just laying in bed and moping as he awaited the visiting hours. But, at seemingly 5 minutes later, he heard knocking on the door.
G quickly rushed down, opened the door and saw... Miku!
"Hi dad!" she greeted him and thus the two hugged
"Hey there kiddo. What are you doing here?" G asked slightly surprised
"I live here" she said dead serious, which made G pipe down. But Miku then smiled and said "Just kidding! Come on lighten up!"
Clearly G was still shook
"You know, thats exactly why I came. You and Hana are both like that"
"Like what?"
"That! Mopey! You two need to get out and have some fun"
"Fun?"
"Yeah... like... like" she looked around looking for some inspiration. Miku saw something and said "a picnic", which was random to G
"Picnic?" he asked being all skeptical
"Yeah! Come on! I'll help you two get some... alone time"
G didnt know how to react to that, but he appreciated Miku's concern and attempt at whatever
"Okay! Gimme a picnic basket" Miku asked
G went to get a picnic basket, meanwhile Miku rushed away somewhere. Once G got the basket, he couldnt figure out where Miku went. G called for her and she soon arrived
"Where were you?" he asked
"My room silly!"
After which the two would put some food and stuff in the basket. And after enough convincing, Miku got G to go to the hospital with the basket, to ask Hana on a date.
Thus G went to the hospital. Last he heard Miku was say "Go get em tiger".
G eventually arrived to the hospital and saw the nurse who looked like she was looking for someone

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ As she had considered so many words already and yet had not spoken about them, she looked at her son. She had been afraid she would be a bad mother for him, ran away from thoughts that she should not think and could not consider but at this point the problem was that the issue wasn't averted. She would not run away but she had not been able to form words and let them cross her lips, they would never forgive her, the issue should not be forgiven and she wasn't sure where to start. She noticed how worried her nurse was and that Nimue seemed to consider it too but they were not important, she had to tell one man first and she could not, she did not want him to worry more as they had to worry about the survival of their son. It was her fault, it always would be her fault. Would she be able to look at him, her little one and not see what she had done? Was there an option? While she stood there, her thoughts tumbling over the issue, her finger tips touching the glass that separated her and the sleeping baby in the room there. What would she do? Her nurse in the mean time had spotted G and ushered him to go and find Hanako, giving him the direct location of where she was, down the hall, at the end to your left and there she was. "She hasn't gone outside, Hajimari-san, we are kind of worried." They did not want to call it an obsession for they understood the differences but they knew that something was bothering their miss Mizuki but they could not figure it out. She had no eyes for anyone else but Kai and thus if G would walk around the corner and see her standing there, he would have to get her attention before she would see him. |

As he arrived, he noticed the nurse, who soon approached him and told him her concerns. G just nodded "Right. I have it covered". G soon entered the room "Hey" he softly greeted her, but then he noticed he hasnt gotten a response. Actually looking at it, it looked like as if she hasnt even seen him. Thus G walked over infront of her and waved his hand infront of her face "Hellooooooo. Earth to Hana! You there?" he called her out
Once finally getting her attention, he spoke "Hey there. Wanna go out for a lil bit?" he held up the picnic basket so she could see. He also walked up to her and immediatelly went to pre-emptively calm her "Dont worry about Kai. He'll be fine. He is fine. It's just gonna be a short... picnic... date. We promised to take our relationship slowly and date eachother" he said, trying to make sure Hana doesnt just stay in the hospital depressed. Kai needed them happy and refreshened. They needed to be good parents. Nothing good will come of this if Kai has tired and depressed parents.
He needed Hana to be good, to feel better, for everyones sake.

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ The hey he pronounced was like a breeze or a whisper that she did not catch. She had not expected him at this hour, at this point, she wasn't sure why not and many more thoughts that did not add up, after all G came every day and stayed most of the whole day even past visiting hours, only she slept here alone or well with Kai and her mornings were alone. She made a small surprised gesture: the movement of her shoulders when she noticed a hand in front of her face and turned to look surprisingly at G. She tried to immediately pull her face in a mask of a smile and so forth, but she was tired and unmotivated to do so. There were too many things swirling in her mind, about what she did wrong and what she might be doing wrong any time soon. "Sorry, I was thinking." She said, hopefully that would explain the frown on her face and the upside down turning of her lips. When he asked her out she looked at the picnic basket and turned to look at the window where their son was sleeping behind in his little incubator. However her eyes shortly turned back when he said what she had said before. "I don't want that anymore." She said abruptly, which she realized a little too late sounded wrong, especially with the expression on her face. "I don't want to take it slow, I want to be with you." She hastily said to make up for her mistake from before, "I want us all to be together once we get out of the hospital." Because she could not even imagine to leave Kai's side, to leave the house and him and G behind to go back to her aunt and uncle. "Where do you want to picnic? We should not be too far away in case they need us." She was worried, she did not believe that the nurses and doctors would be doing something wrong but she wanted to be needed, she wanted Kai to depend on her and not on the nurses or anything, maybe she was a failure as a mother. But she would go, she would take his hand and follow to the park that was within a walking distance of the hospital. He would be fine, he was fine. She kept repeating the words. She tried to be enthusiastic even if the smile did not reach her eyes, she helped with the picnic blanket and once she sat down she looked at the yoga pants that she was wearing, her over-sized pink t-shirt and her hair in a messy bun. "Oh, oh no I should have changed, I am so sorry." What kind of date was this, she did not use make-up, she looked ridiculous, if G would not stop her, she would get up and hurry back to the hospital to change her clothes because she wanted it to be a real date. Even if they would not take it slow, they could still go on dates once in a while. |

She doesnt want that anymore? She doesnt want to go slowly anymore?? She wants to be with him!?? She wants them to all be together?!? Since when did G die and go to heaven? This just seemed so perfect. Did that siren kill him and this is just a coma dream. G pinched his cheek to check
"Ow" that hurt,okay, this was real.
He then shook his head and returned to reality when he realized that Hana asked him where will they picnic
"A-Ah! The Tokyo Park. Or any park thats close to here. But I think Tokyo Park is closest to this hospital" G said
After that, the two together went to the park. Hana helped him with the picnic blanket and sat down. G also sat beside her and set the basket, along with some food he was taking out. Hana then noticed her clothes and then went to leave. But G quickly grabbed her by the wrist "No." he said "Dont go. You're perfect the way you are. Please. Stay"
He then scooted closer to her and kissed her hand and looked at her in the eyes, which were pleading for her to calm down and stay

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ She looked up surprised, from taking a few steps away from the nursery window to get back to the main hallway and outside. "Ow?" She asked surprised, did he got hurt? Was he hurt? She looked at him worried, there was no way that she could think of rational thoughts now that everything seemed to be going right and wrong at any given moment. But as it seemed to be all fine and G seemed to not worry about any issues or pain, she let it go for now too and followed him out, to Tokyo park that was the one close by the hospital and walking distance. She to be fair did not want him to see how much walking could hurt but it seemed to be going fine now. She focused on them, dating, picnicking and G seemed to be excited that she agreed to come along and it was nice weather so it surely was good that she was doing so. She thought to herself.
Once they arrived in the park, she helped with the blanket and watched as G took the items out of the picnic basket and her frown out of curiosity changed into a smile and she leaned against his shoulder, however her moment of relaxing was of short endurance. She stood up to leave as she looked ridiculous in the clothing that she was wearing, a yoga pants and oversized shirt, who gave her the slightest idea to wear this, she should have brushed her hair, she should have applied make-up to her eyes and lips but before she could consider where everything was in her hotelroom, G had already taken her wrist and ushered her to not go. She stared at him and blushed because of the words he said and she sat down quickly and nodded, she would stay. "O-okay." She muttered and looked up as he got close to her and kissed her hand and she slowly started to smile, the blush only become more intense but she looked a little happier, not entirely still though. She was trying her very best to do so. "Sorry." She decided to apologize and looked at the food that was already on the blanket and picked up one of the two chocolate muffins, "When did you get these?" She said with a chuckle, that looked so tasty, apparently her love for chocolate wasn't gone yet. |

She noticed his lil ow and turned concerned, G calmed her "Oh um... its nothing. I just made sure this wasnt a dream." he was then silent for a moment before asking "Can you pinch me, just in case"
After that moment, they went to the park. Arriving there, Hana helped with the blanket, though she noticed her clothes and wanted to rush back. G acted swiftly and stopped her from going back. She was perfect the way she was, she couldnt go. Hana soon apologized and looked at the food that was on the blanket.
G went back to the basket to take out some drinks. He personally could never eat without drinking. Hana asked him where did he get the sweets, he answered "The store", but as he was grabbing the drink, he felt something weird and small and funny in his basket.
...
Was it a bug? He picked it up and took it out of the basket. And it was something that made him freeze. Something that he utterly didnt expect. The ring
As Hana by now probably noticed the ring. He had to play cool and propose to her. Easy, right?
"Hana... will you..." and by that point his mouth ran dry. He just didnt feel the courage to ask her. He wasnt worthy

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ He made sure it wasn't a dream? Hanako looked at him surprised, what did he mean with that? She did not really understand and looked up at him. She smiled though and shook her head, She took his hand but did not pinch him. "What if I do not want to pinch you?" She said softly as she was glad when she realized it that they would go out together. She was sure it was nice to do so now that she wasn't going alone and so on, with G she might be able to relax a little more, albeit she found it bad that she thought so. She simply held on to his hand while walking to the park. She felt slightly embarrassed by her clothing but if G did not see any harm in it, she would stay. Hanako was sure that she looked ridiculous but it was another satisfied and happy feeling that he called her perfect, so she would remain seated and tried to switch her attention to anything else, such as the chocolate muffins, she wasn't sure if he wanted to continue to pack more out of the basket so she wasn't sure if she should open the package and get one, but she decided to do so, it would be the function of the picnic to eat food right. But she had no idea that he went to even get her the food or so and she was rather excited about the gesture of a picnic. She was struggling with opening the muffin package in the right way, so the muffins wouldn't fall out and so on. She finally done so and put the other one back as they could probably first share one, they were quite big and with pure chocolate made, they would be heavy on the stomach. She looked up to offer that they could eat together but she stared at the thing that G was holding and dropped the muffin, luckily it fell on the plastic wrapper that she had just removed but she had no eyes for that. "Yes." She had not noticed he did not finish his sentence, she was looking at the ring. The ring she had dropped on the bedside table when she left months ago and here it was again. Were they on the same line thinking? As she had told him minutes ago that she did no longer wanted to take it slow, was that why he was nervous. Hanako her expression softened and she looked up at his eyes, "Yes, I do." |

G blushed to Hana's answer and remained quiet, after which they went to the park. After some shennanigans where Hana thought she didnt look good enough, G convinced her she was perfect, which was the truth. Thus after calming things down they prepared their picnic date. G wanted to get some stuff out of the basket, but then he saw the ring. He tried to be smooth and propose to Hana, even if he kinda didnt want to. G just wasnt worthy for Hana. But... somehow this ring was here
"Miku" he thought to himself
But then Hana said Yes. Yes?.. YES!!! "You do?! ...o-Oh my God! Thats great! I love you!" G said and then kissed Hanako on the lips. "This is the happiest day of my life"
He then put the ring on Hana's finger
"There. Right where it belongs" he said and then kissed her hand. "Now..erm... I... so back to the picnic. Would you like anything to drink?" he asked and gestured towards the basket, taking all of its contents out and placing them on the picnic blanket. G also made sure to see if Miku or even Haruuhi had slipped something else in there, but luckily the coast was clear

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ Many dark thoughts had clouded her mind and it wasn't as if she had not seen the issues before the whole reason why that ring originally wasn't on her finger was because of that. Surely she was nervous, lately everything seemed to be going wrong so what would it change that she would accept again. She did not want to run away, but she wanted to stop panicking, stop feeling like she made a mistake. She did not believe in the signs of the universe but she did believe in the way of justification, would they be able to handle this? They surely should now that they had a son but, she just wanted to be happy, all of them and if that was better without each other than so be it. However the moment he looked at her surprised that she said she did, the words that's great and I love you came towards her and she was suddenly a little bit more sure about this, not much until he called it the happiest day of his life. Let's forget that this was the second time, she told herself and she watched G put the ring around her finger and she smiled, it was a small one, the struggles within her did not stop but they were not a concern about G, they were about her own. "It will stay there forever." She giggled when he kissed her hand and turned to follow his gesture to the picnic basket and watched him take the contents out and noticed the drinks, "Yes, I do." Which was exactly how she said that she would marry him and she tried to not laugh about it, maybe she could forgive herself and be a little more happy, "Anything is fine." She plucked a piece of the muffin now that she got it back in her hands and put the chocolate cake-substance in her mouth. It was really tasty and she loved the picnic so much. She would focus for a bit on the muffin, taking off pieces off it and putting it in her mouth or offering G before she finally decided that she wanted to know something, something small albeit it had so its effect on what happened. "You always were the one that wanted to marry, right?" They had discussed their families before and she wondered if it had anything to do with it. "Did you ever imagine what kind of wedding?" |

He was extremely happy to hear that the ring will stay there. Now all was well. And when it came to drinks, G went ahead and gave her something. Hana took the drink and munched on her muffin. She was such a cutie, he wanted to kiss her again and again. But refrained from showing that much affection, at least for now. Hana offered a bit of muffin to G, which he happily took. And then she asked something. G listened and then pondered for a second before he answered. First it was the first question "Um... yeah... I guess" and then came the 2nd one "I dont know. I imagined the average one you see in the movies, like church and stuff. Theres also the option my parents wanted which was the old fashioned way the Hawaiian way." he said
He once again wanted to kiss and snuggle Hana, but now they were mid conversation. He didnt wanna influence her thoughts in any way, he wanted to hear her out and talks things through. He wondered if she wanted anything for their wedding or if she had any wishes and ideas of her own. Surely that must be why she asked him this |

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ She took the little can of lemonade that G gave her but she put it aside first and focused on the chocolate muffin that she plucked parts off and basically enjoyed when she went to eat it. She even gave pieces of it to G, which he happily took and it made her more happy than she felt today. She wasn't sure what had been bothering her so much or well, yes she knew what exactly it had been but why now, what had changed so much, she thought she could handle it but she wasn't sure how to bring it up. So she wanted to distract herself and think of more positive things which was why she asked if it wasn't him who always thought of marrying someone. To be entirely fair, Hanako had never considered marrying, surely when she was younger she had seen movies about princesses that went to marry and she had thought about it shortly but never serious when she could consider it, not with Kazuto and to be honest not with G before he asked her to marry him the first time. "Do you want it the old fashioned way the Hawaiian did?" She asked because she had no idea, she always thought he had an idea, she always had thought because he asked her at the beach in winter that he would want to marry her there. His love for the ocean, everything seemed to link to that and it would be a nice spot if they could rent it off, she did not want a big wedding, not invite everyone she knew, just their friends, her aunt and uncle and her grandmother and of course the girls and whomever they wanted to bring along. Weddings could be deadly boring for children. "I never thought of a wedding." She decided to say as he expectantly looked at her, "Not before you asked me to marry you." She pondered a little, maybe she should just say her thoughts out loud, if he wanted, she would be okay with picking elements from an Hawaiian wedding, she wasn't sure about what she wanted herself, if she would pick a traditional kimino or look for a dress or something. "I thought we would marry at the beach." She tried to say it causally but the fact that she never thought about it before meant that every thought that she did relate to marrying was immediately with G as the groom, would he notice? "So ehm yes well I thought about that, small and in the summer, only the people important to us." Leave out the dad who would walk her down the isle, leave out a maid of honour, okay maybe she could get bridesmaids if Haruuhi and Miku wanted to but yes, she would not consider others. She did feel a little funny, the prospect of them marrying gave her a sort of peace, the fact that they were back together and potentially discussed their marriage was a good thing.
Especially when so many other things seemed to go wrong. |

They talked weddings and Hana asked him if he wanted it to be the old fashioned Hawaiian wedding. G thought for a moment once more before answering "I dont know" he looked at Hana in the eyes "I-I never thought I'd get this far. I never dreamed I'd see you again, let alone date OR marry you. Hell... I never thought I was good enough for any woman. I always thought that because Im a bad boy, that my main function in dating is for women to get guys like me out of the system before picking up a husband." he sighed and looked down. This was just too good to be true. He was gonna have a wife, he has a son. Will that crumble? Will that fall apart? What will happen this time?
He didnt wanna damper Hana's mood, so he changed the subject quick. "Did you like have a wedding in mind? Did you think of a dream wedding or something?" But then he heard she didnt thought of a wedding. Well... not before he asked to marry her. She pondered a bit and then said that she thought about marrying at the beach. Small and in summer and the only people are the ones important to them. G nodded "Small and humble. I like that"

all the pieces lie where they fell... ♥ What was old fashioned, if she could think for herself and not picture the groom in general, would she want a fancy old building or something, albeit she would not mind a beach wedding at all, no heels, just sand in everything though, hm, that might not make it anything nice but she did not want to be negative, she thought it would be okay to consider what she wanted and she wanted something nice, maybe pink, maybe flowery, maybe she had always disliked those things because it linked to the stupid depicturing of women but she was one and she did not mind being one. She definitely needed to get back in better shape if she wanted to have a wedding, because she could not do that to either of them. She found it curious though that G had always wanted to marry but not thought far ahead with how the wedding would be, if it would be that old fashioned Hawaiian version.
She wasn't sure what she had to say, it wasn't an all too peppy conversation and it made her sink back in her own failure of her own job and everything related to it, she took his hand and squeezed it softly, "You might have been a bad boy but you are a father now." Things were changing, they were growing up and getting better at understanding or doing whatever it was that they needed to do, being an adult and whatever the rules for that game were, she was sure the bad boy ones were away now. Maybe it was high time to stop her job, the one she created as a teenager out of revenge, it would be highly time to become an adult in her own job. She told him though when he asked what she had considered, "Maybe we could mix in some Hawaiian things if you like." She said and she knew a few people that she would invite but the smaller the better, it would stay special, just for them. If they could make the money that was not having to pay for it so much as the old piece of warehouse that G wanted and their hospital bill, they could maybe go to Hawaii as a honey moon, not that she wanted to say that out loud. "Have you bought that building that you wanted?" It had only been like a week ago but now that she thought about the money, she wanted to know, there were so many things she should tell him, instead she asked him about things that he wanted, something that should be happy thoughts and not her own depressive mindset. |
