Not too worried about her little tag along since she was pretty sure she could handle that, and hey, if not, the cops were bound to notice her, Mia pumped out her firsts to either side, one after the other, almost like she was ‘reloading’ or ‘cocking’ them ready for action like one might when working with a gun, but for her it was a cocky gesture, briefly leaving herself open while displaying her eagerness for a fight here. She met the eyes of the magma man, ready to take in an incoming swing, assuming as much from the way they coated their arm, but instead a quick hardening of magma over their leg had that coming in instead.
Her guard needing to be redirected didn’t mean it wasn’t still effective, and offering her his leg was a big mistake on the villain’s part. Reaching out to the incoming leg, she strengthened her stance, taking the kick to her side and letting out an ‘oof’ as the attack struck, but managing to grin through it as she now had a hold of his leg, forcing him to balance on his other one and shooting him a cocky grin as she reared her arm back for a blow. “Sorry kid, looks like I’m a bit hardier than ya thought!”
Luckily, the punk was quick on his own feet. Well, it was lucky for him, as he blocked her incoming blow. From the sound he made he was likely a little hurt thanks to Mia’s own strength, but her cockiness in realizing that fact left her open. A wack of the club soon came to the side of her head, the force of the blow forcing her to release the limb she’d been holding onto to keep him off balance. She briefly shifted to the side, but slammed down her foot to harden her stance and catch herself, keeping her body low, she reared back her fist with a wild grin. “Nice one there magma boy! Now it’s mama’s turn!~”
Keeping low, her fist held back, she stepped up and into his own stance, her fist following through as her whole body seemed to bulk up in the process, a fist slamming hard into the boy’s gut, with enough force to likely make him fly a small distance if he wasn’t prepared, though should he manage to take it, Mia would follow the momentum of her punch with a spin, and deliver a hard back hand fist with the other arm.
TLDR : Mia caught the kick, punched the guard, took the club and released his leg. She then slammed his gut with an uppercut to send him flying. If he didn’t fly, she’d spin and deliver a backhanded fist.

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away It was interesting to be somewhere that would be able to give her a live report of what a fight was happening between a pro-hero and a villain, albeit this was more of a thug. The last one of a small gang that knew how to use his quirk to his ever whims. It was almost a shame that she had not applied for this under her alias as that would be an interesting write as Lady Scandal but on the other hand, she might need new things for her own blog if she wanted to stay interesting. However, for now, the thoughts only went through her mind for a few seconds as she watched Mia fight the thug. Who had made a mistake with swinging his leg at her, even if Mia took the hit, it was dumb. She, however, bit her lip when she was hit by the dripping liquid club, that should hurt, but maybe not yet cuz of the adrenaline? She could understand that if you looked it from an outsider perspective, if you were up in one of the windows above them, that it seemed not like a good fight. With that she did not mean the ethnicity between good and bad but Mia did not look like your friendly fighter, she was and she did for a good reason but she could understand the nickname a lot better now. "Yay." She said under her breath. The thug went flying, albeit he used to put his heels into the ground and the magma caught up with that, but now he stood at least 4 to 5 steps away from Mia, swinging his club in his hand, he wasn't going to make it easier, but his gut must hurt as the Magma had not been able to cover his body completely, it seemed to be only his limbs. He swung the club again as he tried to push her away from him, still keeping it in his left hand. The lava seemed to spread around his legs though, on the floor and Hanako was slightly worried about that. He did seem to taunt Mia and not really do much apart from that swing, maybe he was doing something with his quirk though. Mia Kearneywords tldr: takes the first hit, swings the club to keep her at a distance, seems to be changing the road into magma. MADE BY VEL OF GS

Feeling the satisfaction of her attack land as the impact reverberated back down the firm muscles of her forearm and across her elbow was a sense of pleasure Mia couldn’t quite describe. She had a lot of motivations to being a hero. A sense of right and wrong, a sense of ego, a craving for fame, and while the sense of heroics was always her main motivator, a motivator that eclipsed the others, she also had a sheer love for a good fight. Watching him skid across the floor as he tried to dig in his heels was also lip lickingly good, and she raised up her fists ready for another clash, though for now magma boy seemed to be keeping his distance as he swung about his rod.
“Aw, what’s this big guy? Think you can intimidate me with a bit of showmanship?~” She teased with a cheeky smirk, before the truth of the fact became clear. Her eyes drifted to the floor around him, watching it slowly turning to a glowing shade of orange as the ground around him started to turn to Magma. Despite the danger Mia still smiled, rolling back her shoulders and raring to go as she hopped back a few feet in a single bound, skipping back on her heels as the momentum carried her where she landed. She looked to one of the cops, then their car, pulling around the back of it and grasping a hand firmly under the rear end as the other steadied the side. “Sorry guys I’m gonna need to borrow one of these!”
Thankful the handbrake wasn’t on to make this easier, Mia guided the car about and thrust it forward, sending it hurtling like it was at full speed towards the magma man, the wheels popping from the heat of the magma underneath and coming to a halt before it could reach the man, but that wasn’t the point. While he had a moment to cheekily gloat that his magma floor tactic had offered him some protection, Mia leaped across the magma floor, bounded off the car she’d provided for herself as a platform, lifting up against the magma man in a falling strike, rearing her fist back ready.
“MAY WANNA GRIT YOUR TEETH KID!”
If she landed the blow successfully, she hoped it’d remove the magma floor, or she was gonna have to jump back away VERY quickly. While Mia did have hardy skin that could handle most blows, she didn’t expect she could stand in magma for long.

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away The good thing was that the magma pool around the user's feet wasn't growing too far yet, Hanako at this point was safe considering if she had to move or not. It was nice to know that she could watch front row, she did not say anything but now took a short clip of filming what the guy was doing pointing out the magma floor and following what Mia was doing, walking away to the cops. She could not hear exactly what the pro-hero was saying, did she say borrow? But that seemed to be exactly what she said as she simply lifted up the car's end and brought it forward. The hell how strong could people be! This was so strange to see but she kept on filming as that would make her able to remember and relive her emotions when she had time to write this blog. It was almost a shame she could not use this for her Lady Scandal column, but no words were coming towards her for that anyway. She might use it later, after all, she had the clip now of how Mia jumped upon the car to be able to punch the guy in the face. The crunching sound that she heard made her stop filming as her stomach made this summersault and she felt like she had to puke. Now Hanako could not see the guy, so it was her fantasy that was now filling in what possibly could have happened. Where she thought of a shattered bone, which wasn't closed off, the real thing was him getting hit on the jaw and indeed that was a very harsh punch but it cracked some magma and he stumbled and fell, making open spots of Magma, so his own body would not fall into it, even if he was a transformation user, it was just for safety and also made it easy for Mia to get back on the car and avoid the leftover spots of Magma. He tried to get up, albeit his balance seemed to be fucked up. A throbbing sensation in the left side of his face and he tried in a weak attempt to throw the club at Mia. He had been rooted to the spot to make the magma floor which had made it easy for her to hit. Apart from that, his power might look impressive, but the criminal was not even close to the rank of Mia. He tried still to gather his balance, but it was clear that one more punch would knock him out and it was also quite clear that he would barely be able to block. MADE BY VEL OF GS

With the Magma man knocked off his feet, Mia rebounded quicky onto the top of the car she’d been using as a platform, lighting denting the hood as she landed on it again, but as the Magma man fell Mia noticed safe patches opening up as he lost control of the magma. At least that’s what she assumed was happening. She was briefly distracted by the opening safety spots to the point of nearly missing the club launched at her in fact, but quick to react, her own tool of destruction, her arm, swiftly swiped across her front and forced the club to fly off in another direction, embedding itself in a nearby wall. Mia’s arm definitely stung like hell, but it was better than taking an unguarded blow to the face at the very least.
With the safe spots getting bigger she could tell magma man here was on his last legs, grinning as she hopped down off the car, jumping from patch to patch till she was sharing his, grasping his front and pulling him up to his feet, meeting his eyes with a wild grin as she ripped him up from the ground, breaking any hardened magma that may have connected him to it.
“May wanna grit your teeth here mate.”
Tossing the criminal briefly up into the air, Mia reared her fist back, lining up the shot, and when the crook fell back into the path of her upcoming punch, she let it rip. It seemed briefly merciless, but from the look of ease on her face it seemed Mia wasn’t unleashing anything near a full power blow for her. All the same, taking it while falling through the air the magma man was sent skidding across the floor, chunks of hardened magma flaking off of him as Mia dusted off her hands, gesturing to the punk as he lay groaning beside a lamppost. “All yours boys.”
She’d briefly address an officer for an official report and make sure they caught the ones who fled. A brief radio in to the colleagues who cut them off confirmed everything was handled and Mia discretely returned to her tag along in the alley, grinning at her with a sense of pride at a job well done, and gesturing to whatever she’d been using to take notes. “So, get a good bit for your blog?” Mia knew this wasn’t all there was to hero work but she was glad she got a good action packed example for her tag along.

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away The sound that Hanako had dreaded wasn't even the sound that was what it meant. No broken jar or other bones, just breaking magma, albeit the guy seemed to not be very well off considering being the punchback of RedHorn. She was sad that she stopped filming as she noticed the last pretty smash that Mia did and she stared at that movement and timing and wondered how in hells bells did that even work. She stood up when she heard Mia say the phrase to get the police into action. She did not dare to get away from her hiding spot right now but on the other hand she was okay right, there was nothing going to happen right now, no one going to stop her or something. The grin on Mia her face said everything and Hana took a quick snap of that before pocketing her phone again. She smiled at the pro-hero. "Definitely, it seems that today was a good day to tag along." She chuckled as she stepped towards Mia, "You are very impressive." Which was not a lie but maybe more something she would not say out loud too often, not to anyone, but she was sure Mia would appreciate it. She wondered if she rather had that Hanako left her alone now, which was okay with the writer, she could write her blog now anyway or if she would continue to do the check up of the town, which could be interesting. She liked how Mia did not hide who she was, no masks, no hero outfit particularly to hide. Maybe she should give her more credit than she actually thought, she just wasn't too fan of the pro-hero tag name, but on the other hand, she did not blame the pro-heroes, she blamed the government. She gave Mia an once-over, making sure the woman was okay, "So, you seem to be indestructible." MADE BY VEL OF GS

“Heheheh, well I guess so. Like I said not every day is action packed, but I’m glad I got to show ya something at least.” She held a bright smile on her lips and started to get away from the situation, walking down to the other end of the alley with her blogging companion for the day and making sure that neither of them were caught in the police’s way as they cleaned up the mess. Mia was used to the gig anyway, she’d be called sometime in the future, or have the forms sent to her in the post to do her half of the paperwork. For now it was best she just leave it in the police’s hands. None of the criminals had quirks that were worthy of a hero escort, especially with Magma boy down for the count after that last punch. “Thanks for the compliment though. I always appreciate some appreciation of my efforts.~”
Ultimately though after any crime like that it was a fair opportunity for Mia to calm down, resting her hands behind her head as they walked, her muscles seemed to very slowly deflate, returning to a more moderate state for the Oni. Not so small that she was her calmer, faintly toned self, but not so beefy that she appeared as though she was mid fight. A more moderate level that no one would mess with, but wasn’t the same level as the hero many would see on the news.
At the blogger’s comment about her being invincible, Mia scoffed a little and shook her head. As much as she appreciated hype, it needed to be deserved. “I havn’t met anyone who can destroy me, but I ain’t indestructible. Trust me on that. I always gotta keep a level head on these shoulders if I wanna stay ahead of the crooks and goons who might otherwise wanna take me down ya know.~” She lowered her arms from behind her head, flexing one arm and grasping it with the other’s hand. “I’m tough as nails and then some don’t get me wrong, but I can definitely take some damage if I ain’t careful. As much as I’d love some blog entry titled the invincible Red Horn, I only allow myself to enjoy Hype I’ve earned ya know? As big an ego as I’ve got, if it ain’t deserved, it ain’t worth jack.” She tilted her head and asked again. “Make sense?”

at most I'm sleeping all these demons away She was glad to see Mia so happy about the moment which was a good thing and it was as if life wanted to show Hanako how it worked and she could not see it as a bad thing. She followed Mia to get out of the way of everyone but she could not help but look over her shoulder a few times, she wanted to ask a few things but realized the questions were already answered in a way. She gave Mia a compliment, one that she meant because even if she knew how to make it sound better to people, she was impressed by the work and understood a bit more how pro-heroes worked. She should ask Gil or Brandon how they did that as vigilantes though, this was the first time she thought about Brandon as a way for that, hm, Gil was fine for her blog. She noticed how Mia sort of calmed down and how her transformation, could you really call it that? Changed to the normal version of how she first met Mia and it was an interesting process to see. "It's good you stay level headed though." The writer said because that was a good thing indeed and she still seemed indestructible in Hanako's eyes but she understood very well what she meant. It was also because Hanako had no quirk, did not know the ways and the limits. Everything looked magnificent maybe. This made her stop walking as she realized that she had not seen Goliath for months. Oh no, the last time she saw him was during Halloween. She basically had to focus on keeping up with the conversation with Mia while the guilt ate at her. "That makes sense, I like how you think." She said as a reply, okay focus, she looked over her notes and typed that in as well, aint deserved, it aint worth jack. Interesting quote if she would say so herself. "I think I should go home." She had to find G, no, no she was here with Mia and she should continue her sort of research. "Or are you going to continue on patrolling?" Make a choice Hanako. She felt tired and the adrenaline still going through her, she had to make a decision, "I already got a lot to write about, so if you don't mind, I will work on that." She said, "I hope we can meet again sometime though." She tried to be as casual about it and smile, she would take a cab if they would get close to a free one, until then she would walk with Mia.
