Sippin' on Sunshine [G & H]

"I wouldn't be surprised if they had some." Hanako answered, wondering about the sharks, "After all, aren't all those creatures suppose to be wild?" She wasn't sure how it worked with fish but lions and gorillas. She did not want to think too much about it because that would make her think sad thoughts and that would ruin there date. "Forget I said anything." She muttered before just walking on, she just wished she could have said something differently. She did like how they stayed together, she wasn't entirely sure what to expect as she never really dated like this, she was not made for that she had said, she was not made for relationships like this at all but look at them. She felt really happy for today, even with ups and downs she was getting used to the fact that she was pregnant and even with how this morning had gone, she was glad when she kept repeating G's words in her mind. 

She decided to break the silence by telling him about what she vaguely remembered. She took his hand again to take him through the tunnel, where she had to look left and right to think about which way to go, surely they should have taken a map but this was nicer. "Oh, this way." She pointed to the right when she saw the sign and even if they would pass a few things where there were exhibitions, she was sure they would see a bit later, but finally, she remembered the path. It looked different when you compared it to almost twenty years ago, she was much smaller and thus it had been another perspective, the exhibit was a bit different too but still the same animal. There was a little bench on which she sat down and she stared at the glass wall that would have reached around her middle, when you looked into the clear water you could see little leaves falling down and then a small brown animal that kept swimming around with something in its little hands, which was a clam, it got up out of the water and went to sit on the side of the pool, right in front of the bench. It was an otter and Hanako's blue eyes could not stop looking at the creature that she found adorable and fascinating at the same time. 

She wanted to walk away from the aquarium but G spoke and she turned around to look at him and to listen to what he had to say. She had been afraid that saying something so stupid and without further thought would make their conversation horrible or just point out the question of why the hell they would go to the zoo if she was against it. 

She stared at him in surprise of the information he seemed to just say on top of his head, it was very attractive and she did know he liked the ocean and wasn't maybe that surprised that he seemed to know more about it than just the general vibe it gave them on the day he asked her to marry him. She opened her mouth to ask that question, "But do they really have great whites in the zoo?" She wanted to know if there were other sharks who did that too but considering he just said I dunno, she skipped that, "Imagine you have to feed those, they might eat you." She wasn't very knowledgeable, she did notice that G watched documentaries, especially now that they lived together, when he was home and had the time. "You are so smart." She said while giving him a short kiss before musing further in her mind about what she would tell him and leaving the aquarium. It surely made for a better visit than she had expected, who knew what more would happen. 

She would take his hand and muse about what she vaguely remembered and taking him for a short walk to some other spot and she would sit down on a little bench and look at the otter in the basin, it was so cute and so smart as he took a little pebble and went to hit the clam so it would open. She looked up when she heard G and took his hand again to get him to sit next to her and she scooted over, "Come, come. Isn't it cute? I remember I sat here for what felt like hours." 

She thought he was kidding about the fact that he wasn't smart, so she did not reply to it and only kissed him. She loved him anyway, no matter if he thought himself smart or not, so there was no need to answer that either. She would take him by the hand and walk towards the exhibition of the otters to show G where she had been all those years ago. She would usher him to sit with her and leaned with her head against his shoulder and she smiled as she looked at the otter that was playing, trying to get the food from the clam. She smiled at the setting and gave him shortly a kiss back on the cheek. "Unfortunately the zoo closes at some point." 

She did not know what to think because at this moment it felt so different than from the last time she sat there. She wanted to say so much, "It is so strange how much things have happened in these twenty years." It was almost twenty years, in about three months, she would turn twenty-six herself. She wondered while looking at the otter, she shortly closed her eyes and put her hand on G's and scooted every closer and put his hand on her stomach again. "You didn't go somewhere, like the zoo, with your parents? Only if my mom took you along? I believe she always thought that you would have a good influence on me." Her mother might be old fashioned, that the girl was better sitting down and doing nothing while the boys were okay with running around, climbing in trees, maybe that's why she hated Hanako so much. She only learned that later, when she was six it was still mild. 

"Oh, how mom hated me. I wonder what she would think now, engaged to you, she always liked you, she would be expecting a grandchild." She sighed and opened her eyes, would her mother be okay with having a grandchild and would be okay about that or would she be shunned even worse. Maybe G would make up for it unless the past of his side would be known by her mother, something she had missed. What kind of reporter was she. 

"You make that sound like a very bad thing." She said surprised and looked up shortly to G before turning her eyes back to the otter. "If all good things come to an end, that means we will break up and I won't let that happen. So, that's not true." She said with a firm nod and she pouted without really realizing that she was doing so. So she kept her eyes firmly on the critter. What kind of comment did she just make, Hana and her big mouth, wonderful. She tried to avoid blushing because it was a true statement, no need to blush for what she felt. Besides, they were going to form a family, so it better be like that. She took his hand as she continued to talk but her mind slightly distracted by that. Not all good things came to an end! She noticed that he looked at her and she looked away, sitting close but turning her head obvious to the right while G sat on her left. She was burning red because of his reaction. she did not want him to see that but she could not help but look back at him within a few seconds and noticed his surprise. She bit her lip softly and tried to smile, "You-you better get used to it." She better get used to it too. Her body was getting fat. No, she should not see it like that. She wanted to sigh but she could not as the conversation continued. 

She turned to look at him when G talked about his family and she could not understand how you hate your son for being a quirker. "Sorry." She replied and snuggled close to him. "We should think about our own little family." She said with a small smile, wondering if they would get a boy or a girl and she was sure that it would be a quirker but that was okay, she had nothing against them. "I thought about going back to work, but I am not sure if I am ready to tell everyone." She looked at her little bump, it would obviously only get worse and she put her own left hand on her bump, next to G's hand, it barely fitted yet but that would obviously change. "I am not ready to this change but there is nothing that will change that, so I better be able to get used to it as soon as possible I would say." She remembered how she stared at herself for days in the mirror, hating what she saw. She sighed loudly without herself noticing it, really. "I don't like getting fat." Still not seeing that it looked completely different, being a bit fatter than healthy or having a baby bump. She did not see herself as glowing as some baby books described. 

She wanted to do it better than the first few weeks, especially if the weeks of morning sickness was over and as her book said, the best weeks were coming up. She wanted him to be there every single second because she had the idea that he enjoyed the process. She felt slightly embarrassed but told him he had to get used to it and he seemed to totally not mind, considering his words and gestures. It made her realize her family and it was her fault that they talked about his family and she apologized for that immediately when G said he did not want to talk about that. She smiled when he pulled her closer as she said they should think about their own family. She thought about more things, again what the gender would be of their baby and well she knew the most important part was having a healthy baby but she could still be curious. He let her go so she could talk a little more to him and she noticed how he placed his hand again on her belly and she smiled about it. Okay, he was the only one allowed. 

She was considering a lot of things when she thought about going back to work. She did not feel like telling too many people yet but if she was getting better, this was a good moment to try and go. Only sweater weather was over, so that meant she would have to tell. She turned to look up at G, "You told Lisa?" And who did he mean with you know who? Some of her colleagues did speak English but maybe they were not paying attention. That's when she remembered who was going and had invited G and she clenched her own fist. Yuuki. "Hmpf, that little witch doesn't need to know anyway." Not that she could change anything about it, maybe she should tell her so she would really back off. That reminded her that Yuuki would still have her beautiful skinny body and Hanako was getting fat. 

She looked at that little baby bump and how that was in contrast to what she wanted. Even if she was slightly okay with the concept of a little baby, her body was being so weird, so sensitive and hungry for so many strange things. It was completely unfair. She looked back up at G after she muttered that she did not want to get fat, he surprised her with a kiss. She felt a blush creep up on her cheeks when he showered her in compliments. She tried to smile but it was kind of weak, "I just worked so hard for this body and I might not get it back. I-" She looked away and frowned, not sure if she should tell him. But she wanted to share so he understood. "I suffered anorexia when I was sixteen. I kinda disturbingly continued for too long." She hoped he did not remember her skipping breakfast, she tried really hard still to get used to eating more because her body asked it of her, especially now. It took her till 3 years ago to try and fix it, but that still did not mean that it was over. Her body was pretty now, she believed that but a wasp-like waist was not that pretty for everyone, she might be too skinny, easily tired as she did not eat enough but she had been an expert in hiding it so well that she forgot herself. 

"Lisa is okay." She liked Lisa, she did not talk enough to Lisa to actually know her well but that was okay, she knew that Lisa always asked her how she was doing, and was very polite and not in the over the top "me being better than you" way. She felt Lisa was honest in her behaviour. "So only Lisa?" Because well than maybe she could build on Lisa to tell the others, with her, so she had at least someone on her floor to count on. She still did not feel like telling Yuuki but, and she looked at their hands on her belly, how long would she be able to hide this. "That are too Japanese?" She laughed, "I am glad I am not too Japanese for you." She learned herself to be more American, because that had been totally hip and she had dreams to go to New York, those dreams dropped when she basically fell in love with her job in Tokyo, but her English was okay, eating with just American cutlery was okay, and many other things, it was also the world, mixed cultures were a lot of things but she still believed that Japan was trying very hard to protect their own culture. She still snickered a bit about the idea, too Japanese. 

She did not want to look at him when she confessed her previous issue, from teenager till the age of twenty-three, it had taken her far too long to fix it and get over it and too many issues of therapy, it wasn't until her Aunt and Uncle had to be called by her college that she fainted that they knew and that the doctors had to break the news. She still felt bad about that, they had been so nice to her and she just kept lying and being rebellious, it wasn't fair. She still had to tell them about the baby. Maybe she should take G to see them. Would they remember him? Had they even seen him when they were visiting? She looked at him though, now that they looked at each other and she changed her ice blue eyes to her knees, not daring to hear what he would say but, he apologized and her eyes shifted back. She gave a short, too high pitched, giggle when he said he would IV feed her. "My hero." She said with a smile though, because yes, she knew he would always protect her and she loved that. She turned her expression to a silent question when he said he had to ask. Ask what? But her face instantly dropped when he asked her to become a pro-hero or not. "Don't." Was the first thing she could say, trying to find words that would explain why she wasn't agreeing.  "They are arrogant and only thinking about title and money, being a pro-hero has nothing to do with being a hero. Yes, I hate to consider the police is after you but I don't believe that being a pro-hero is a good thing." 

She did know Lisa from college but they did not talk much after that, she did not exactly know why. It was mostly that she came to work and left and did not even try to be friendly. If she thought too long about it she would realize that she did not have a friend at all. That did mean that her best friend obviously was G, she did tell him everything or well up to a certain degree, to save him from being stressed. He had enough things to worry about. He was silent when she asked if he told anyone else but when he said the person was called Nagisa, she was actually surprised, Nagisa of all people. "Are they dating?" She could not help but ask, she was totally blind to see Nagisa had had a crush on her. "It's Nagisa yea," She smiled, it was good he tried to remember their names. She could not help but giggle a bit when he kissed her on the cheek. "I am glad you say so." Her eyes turned shortly to the otter before she thought too much about the little witch that she did now want to think about. To think about Yuuki would be a blemish on today's great day. 

She confessed to her problem with eating, she did not dare to say how long it took her to get over it and that she was still working on that. Maybe that was a reason why she wanted to train, but she did not dare to ask her doctor because he obviously knew her past. "I am working hard on it but it's nice that you will protect me." Maybe she should not have confessed to the fact that it could still be her problem, but on the other hand, he deserved to know. When he turned the question of protection to become a hero, she could first only say don't. She had to find words but when she finally explained, she turned her eyes back to G, he seemed to be surprised. And she felt bad when he explained. "I don't want you to be hunted by cops, not at all, I was very scared that day when you came to save me, because I thought I messed up, I wanted no one else but you and after that I realized that my colleagues would have called the police and I hated that I brought the problem upon you. However." She was silent for a while again, thinking about what to say, she had heard that he talked about the Yuuei nurse, and she had seen her at the school event and a wave of jealousy hit her as she tried to push it down. That woman was very pretty. "However, the pro-heroes I did talk to or that are in the news like Darkshine seem to do it for their own great or good, their own fame and ranking, that's wrong. They should be a hero to help the people who can't help themselves against villains or the government but they are the government. Vigilantes risk their lives to do something for the public, maybe for their own egos but they risk a lot more than the pros. Maybe I haven't met the right ones like the teachers are obviously doing something well, the only pro in this list is no longer having to hide from the cops. So how was the school nurse?" She had been open about the whole conversation but in the last sentence you could clearly hear her jealousy peaking, it was basically her hormones telling her that he might think her more beautiful, which she tried to tell herself was ridiculous as he just said she was stunning. 

Hoping he would forget the point she got up, "Let's see some more animals."
