Screaming For Vengeance [G]

Welp, it seemed as though this hooligan also had a dead mother, assuming he wasn't lying. Were G literally anyone else, then maybe Alaster would have felt bad. "Oh, yours too, huh? Welcome to the club, I guess. I'd say I'm sorry for your loss, but considering that overgrown roach just headbutted me, you'll have to excuse me if I'm not exactly feeling sympathetic at the moment."

Alaster was not at all surprised when his little fair deal was not accepted. Of course the villain was far more honorable than the 'hero'. How sad! Alaster chuckled when G asked him if he thought he was a moron. Did he really want to hear Alaster's answer to that? As G continued to complain about the crows still attacking him, Alaster watched the red in their eyes go away. They were free now, and Alaster was unfortunately in no position to regain his control over them. Once the vigilante had the crowbar to Alaster's neck, the crows were already flying off.

"Clearly you must be a fucking moron. Otherwise, you would have noticed the crows stopped attacking you. Of course, now that you see with your own eyes that I actually am a man of my word, I highly doubt that you would extend that same courtesy. Such a sad world we live in when the 'hero' is nowhere near as honorable as the 'villain'. But then, you're not a hero, are you?"

If this man was going to beat Alaster anyway, even after there were no more crows attacking G and Goliath, then Alaster saw no point in not keeping his mouth shut. After all, what difference would it make? Besides, if there was even the tiniest chance that Alaster could piss off this prick, then he would gladly take it.

"So what are you going to do now, mister 'Hero'? Beat me to death? You really that eager to come back to Villain Chat, are you? Think you'll be welcomed back with open arms? Go ahead. Kill me, if you can. We both know you're just going to try to anyway. It's in your nature. Besides, if you don't kill me here, I'll just escape. You're even more stupid than you look if you think the police will ever hold me. So go ahead. Kill me. Because if you don't, I'll come after you, and I'll find everyone you love, everyone you ever cared about. And I'll cut them open and make you watch. What you did to Meiko, I'll do a thousand times worse to the people you love. And only after I force you to watch everyone die a gruesome death will I finally permit you to die too."

At this point, Alaster was not really seeing a way out. Bargaining was useless. His quirk was useless. He was still being pinned down, so he could not even reach for his knife. If this asshole was going to beat him with the crowbar, then so be it. However, if Alaster could not escape, then he refused to go down quietly. He would spite this prick as long as he could still breathe.

"FREEZE!" Alaster was startled by the sudden shout from an unfamiliar sounding voice. Who the bloody hell was that? It was hard to see, since Alaster was still pinned down to the ground, but he was just barely able to catch a glimpse of the newcomer.

Bollocks! A bloody cop!

Great! Just when things were already going to shit, now a cop showed up! But then Alaster smiled. Perhaps this was actually a blessing in disguise. Maybe there was hope left for him after all. With a reckless yet possibly brilliant idea popping up in his head, Alaster began to shout. He did his best to sound afraid, although his sore throat made it difficult to speak as loudly and clearly as he would have liked.

"Ah thank god! Officer, please help me! This psychopath tortured and killed my buddies! He's trying to kill me too! He used his quirk on me, had that thing bite my shoulder! He shot my friends, and now he wants to beat me with a crowbar! Please, save me!"

The cop did not know what to think. On one hand, the 'victim' looked very suspicious. Why was he wearing a mask for? But on the other hand, the other man was holding a weapon, plus he was using his quirk on another person. Plus there were the three bodies on the floor. The officer pointed his gun at G.

"You! Get away from him! Hands in the air, now!"

Ugh, how disgusting! Alaster was so glad he had brought his mask. Otherwise, no amount of showers would ever be enough to clean off the drool of this disgusting creature.

Alaster resisted the urge to laugh as G claimed to be a pro hero. Did he really think that such an idiotic excuse would actually work? Then again, most law enforcement were incompetent morons, so Alaster supposed he couldn't blame the man.

"A pro hero, huh? A likely story! Officer, don't believe this liar! If he really was a pro hero, then you would know who he is, right? All the pro heroes are well known and registered, aren't they? You would have recognized him if he were an actual hero! More importantly, why would he be attacking an innocent person? Why would he have killed my three friends?"

Alaster loved deconstructing G's very fragile lies and making the vigilante look even more suspicious. If Alaster could not make a successful escape, then he was determined as hell to bring G down with him.

The police officer did not know who to believe. Both men were very suspicious. But at the same time, they both made very interesting points. While still keeping the gun pointed at G, the officer began to speak to Alaster.

"You make a good point. Still, I need to investigate every possibility. Got to make sure I cover every side of the story. Speaking of, why are you wearing a mask? If you are innocent like you claim to be, then why wear a very suspicious looking mask? Take it off! If you really are just an innocent bystander, then show me your face!"

Bollocks! Alaster was hoping to get the suspicion away from him, not on him! Time to pull some massive bullshit out of his sleeve! Trying his best to sound convincing and honest, Alaster pretended to sob and cry. It was easier to do since he had the mask on.

"I'm... I'm j-just tired of all the h-hate I get! Everyone is s-so judgmental, because of w-w-what I am! I can't hide my quirk! Not without wearing this mask! All my life, I had to deal with the b-bullying, the neglect from my quirkless parents, the b-b-beatings! Oh god, the beatings! I didn't ask to be born with a w-weird face! I just want to live my life and be h-happy! J-just like everyone else! Is that s-so wrong?!"

As Alaster let out a series of fake sobs, he continued. "I'm a huge fan of the anime Demon Crows, so I changed my usual mask into a bird mask. My buddies and I heard that there would be a fan convention, so we wanted to go check it out. M-maybe this guy just thought I looked like a villain? B-but that doesn't excuse what he did to my friends! Togure and the others! How could you, you murderer!" He looked at G, grinned at the fact that nobody could tell that he was smiling, and then turned back to the police officer.

"You gotta believe me, officer, please! I'm not a murderer, and I'm not a villain! I'd take off my mask and show you just how ugly I am, but I've dealt with enough laughing, bullying, and humiliation in my life! Please, arrest that man, not me!"

Alaster had no doubt that G would try to make some bullshit counterargument, but he was happy to see that the officer's expression began to soften a bit. A sign of pity and sympathy? Excellent! All he had to do now was keep this up a bit. Once the officer lowered his guard enough, then he could make his move.

The police officer had to hold the tears back. "Look, sonny, I get it. I may not have a quirk, but my wife does. My kids do. And they went through hate and bullying too. They still do! But it's okay! There's no hate, not with me. So just take off your mask, alright? I promise I won't judge you."

Shit! Alaster had a feeling that the cop would still want the mask removed. Still, things were going according to plan....

The poor officer did not know who to believe. Both of them made very valid points, and their words were too convincing. He did not know who to trust. He really hoped that he would not put the wrong person behind bars. Unfortunately, he could not just let either of them go. If one of them, or both, were actually a murderer and villain, then anything outside of arrest was not an option.

"I'll bring both of you in. Then I'll investigate this whole mess. If either of you are innocent, then you'll be released and given an apology. It's the only way to be sure." The cop then looked at Alaster. "Mask off. Now."

As G and the officer talked, Alaster noticed two crows flying just close enough to his range. He kept them in mind as he began to formulate his plan. There was no room to fuck this up. He needed to succeed, and not end up in a jail cell.

"Very well. I'll cooperate. If it means I can show my innocence and that horrible man pays for killing my friends, then so be it." Just as Alaster began to raise his hand to touch the mask, he paused. "Right, officer. This is a special mask. It requires a key to open. I'd reach for it in my pocket, but I don't want you to think I have a concealed gun or something ridiculous. Could you go get it for me? That way, you can also see that I have no weapons on me." Of course, Alaster was lying. There was no key. He was just hoping to lure the cop close enough to get the jump on him.

The officer thought for a bit before shrugging. "Makes sense. Now hold still and don't try anything." As the officer cautiously approached Alaster, Alaster began to smile. This was too easy. Once the cop was close enough and began to reach for Alaster's pocket, Alaster made his move.

Alaster braced for pain as he suddenly headbutted the cop. Taking advantage of the cop not expecting the attack, Alaster quickly reached for his knife with one hand, and before the officer could react in time, Alaster stabbed the man's stomach. However, he was not done yet. With his free hand, Alaster yanked the officer's gun away from him, went behind the officer, and pointed it at the back of the man's head.

"Now I don't need to tell you why trying anything is a bad idea, now do I?" Alaster then glared at G. "That goes for you too, moron. Try anything, and this man's wife and kids will be mourning his death. Not to mention that Tokyo will lose such a fine officer. Wouldn't want to do that to those poor people, now would we?" Alaster then slowly moved his knife to the officer's neck, keeping the pointed part very close to the point where any slight movement would cause bleeding. "Well well. Quite the predicament you're in now, aren't you? This man's life is in your hands. With the way I stabbed him, he'll bleed out and die if he doesn't get medical attention soon. You should probably call him an ambulance. That is, if you care enough to want to save him."

Alaster smiled before continuing. "As much fun as I had playing around with you, I do have far more important matters to attend to." It was true. Looking back, Alaster regretted trying to get revenge now. Meiko was far more important to him. His love for the woman of his life was far more important than the people Alaster despised. He needed to make it back to Meiko and make sure she was okay. Revenge will come, but not today. G would pay for what he did another time. Until then, Alaster needed to escape and get stronger. Strong enough so that a fiasco like this never happens again.

"I leave you with one of two choices, Mr. 420GucciGang. I'll take my leave now. You may attempt to stop me if you wish. Hell, you might even succeed! But by the time you catch and restrain me, this cop will be beyond saving. His death will be on your hands, his wife will become a widow, and his kids will cry for endless nights from losing daddy dearest. Or, you call for help right now. Call for an ambulance to try to save this officer in time. Who knows, your timely action just might be enough to save this man's life and allow him to make it to Christmas! But you won't be able to stop me from getting away if you do. Well? Your move, bitch!"

Cawing loudly to activate his quirk one last time, Alaster took control of the two crows that were just barely close enough. His throat was now almost unbearably sore. Pretty soon, he would be mute for a while. With an incredibly raspy and barely audible voice, Alaster half yelled, half croaked. "ATTACK THE INSECT!" Pointing at Goliath, the crows flew down and began to peck at the isopod. Meanwhile, Alaster quickly moved the hand holding the knife and stabbed the officer's stomach to make him bleed more. Shoving the injured and bleeding man to the ground, Alaster aimed his gun at G. Oh how he wished he could pull the trigger now. However, Alaster needed to move now. But first, Alaster had a few final words he wanted to say to G before taking his leave, as well as before he lost his voice.

"This isn't over. I'll return. And when I do, I'll drag you to Hell!"

Firing a few shots at G, Alaster turned around and began to run. Run as far as he could manage. He hated having to run. He hated being so weak that he could not avenge his beloved Meiko. As much as Alaster hated to run, he had no choice but to concede this battle. However, the war was far from over. If G thought that Alaster was running with his tail between his legs, then he was mistaken. Alaster had every intention of coming back one day. To settle this once and for all. For hurting Meiko, for killing those crows, for humiliating Alaster. G would suffer horribly, everyone he loved would be tortured, and he would die a bloody death.

Alaster would settle for nothing less.
