It was a harsh journey, but it had become one with the warmth and hope within reach. Tetsuko had started to question her approach, and the familiar warmth which she adored so much had returned to her side once more. Even now the embodiment of Elise's wants and desires was being reflected in the mindscape of the iron-blooded lass. The lantern and the shadows were clashing against each other, a struggle for Tetsuko's soul, her core, her heart, the very being that was Tetsuko Shindou. "Mhmm~ It might be painful sometimes, perhaps even hopeless, but as long as we have each other and the things we desire, the wants we chase I feel that no matter how hard it gets, we can overcome it~"
But there was another reason why Elise von Eisenberg believed that: "This world is often so cruel and heartless, but it is also so incredibly beautiful... because it's the world you live in~" Elise answered Tetsuko with a tender smile
It seemed the combined efforts of her attack and Tetsuko's own had their merrit, for Master Gai was seemingly occupied with the flurry of attacks the slime girl unleashed upon the man. However, at the same time Tetsuko herself had safely landed, preparing to lunge at the foreigner, who decided to show his unreasonable creativity once more by turning his blade into a swirling barrier around him, cleverly intercepting both attacks, or at least it looked like that at first.
"Ouch..." Elise muttered under her breath as she watched Tetsuko deliver a solid knee-strike into the man's gut, even using her quirk to grow a blade from her kneecap! Good god, was she glad that Tetsuko was her lover and that she didn't need to worry about being on the receiving end of such an attack! that looked like it could hurt a lot, especially depending on the area it was aimed at. The gut already looked painful, imagine if she struck lower! Okay, she didn't want to even imagine the consequences of such a thing.
When Tetsuko called out for her to proceed with her plan, Elise couldn't help but blush at the fact her lover seemed oblivious to the innuendo, yet at the same time she was about to reach out to Tetsuko, when without any warning the step she took launched her meters high into the air! Master Gai clearly had used his quirk again. Not even having the time to panic Elise's tentacles swinged toward Tetsuko, pulling herself toward the girl as she coiled herself around her lover. "I don't have much time left Tetsu..."
Elise whispered softly as she allowed both her tentacles to latch onto the Tori gate as she pulled herself straight toward Master Gai, as if preparing for a confrontation. At least, that's what it seemed like, until the last moment when suddenly she bend her body downwards, making it look like they were gliding underneath the outstretched blade of the foreign swordmaster!
Rapidly Elise adjusted her angle, her hair swishing upwards into a flurry of tentacles which attempted to bind the swordmaster's blade in place, some even going as far as coiling around the hilt of the blade and master Gai's hand while Elise called out to her lover. "Make it count Tetsu!"
With that declaration the Eisenberg forcefully pulled her tentacles downwards, hoping to make the airborne master descend down with them, while she quite literally stretched the area of her body Tetsuko was inside, propelling the iron-blooded girl to the 'hopefully' bound master.
Whether it worked or not, in the wake of the attack Elise would land on the ground, a few soft bounces following as she turned to look at the results of their clash. For Elise her chance to aid in the battle had reached its conclusion, her body transforming back to normal as she was left panting in exhaustion. That sure took its toll upon her, especially after all that training over the span of the entire night.
"YOU CAN DO IT TETSU!" Elise shouted encouragingly at the iron-blooded lass. Was this the right choice? To make Tetsuko deviate from the path she herself had decided to traverse? She didn't know, she didn't know if it was right or wrong, or if it was what Tetsuko wanted, but to Elise this decision was one she wanted to make. She wanted to spend a future alongside her lover, one basked in that warmth she adored so much and filled with honesty. It was for that reason she had pushed herself so far, to the point she was almost even feeling a bit dizzy from that earlier airborne maneuver she made! But the warmth she felt... The warmth of fighting alongside Tetsuko reminded her that the knight she adored so much was still there, struggling to find her way back to her.
She had to admit, it had been a difficult journey, but now she had come this far, felt those things... and now saw Tetsuko fighting with such resolution, such an unreasonable display of strength? Elise felt it had all been worth the effort. Indeed, perhaps it was this event, this day that would be the true beginning of everything, the true start of the search for the things they wanted. Perhaps this would be the true origin of their relationship, and the start of Tetsuko's search for an immovable heart. Now it was simply a matter of time and effort before they would find it.
Still, seeing the Shindou girl fighting like that, it really reminded Elise of that feeling she felt when they first met: People often said that Tetsuko felt unfeminine to them, and to Elise that was fine. In her eyes Tetsuko Shindou was cool, but also had a hidden side to her that was incredibly cute and adorable, one that only she knew about. Indeed, in the eyes of her princess, one could say that Tetsuko Shindou was the greatest knight Elise could desire, and that was all she could ever want to get...
