Tetsuko couldn't help but agree with Elise's statements that there was more to combat than fighting prowess, raw strength or destructive capability. It was true enough that in history, the power of a fighting force was often dependent on its supportive subsets as much as their warriors. Nodding along in agreement, Tetsuko realized she might have been a bit unclear with what she said. Though she didn't doubt Elise's abilities from the backlines, it was indeed the very frontline nature of the Heroics course that Tetsuko was interested in seeing her tackle. As Elise spoke, Tetsuko would continue to smile softly at her useful little princess. "That's true, a healer isn't something to underestimate. Not on any battlefield. And seriously, experimenting with medicine? Not something most middle schoolers got up to..." She'd say with a light chuckle, once again impressed at Eli's drive. It seemed a long time ago now, but once Elise had been set on becoming a doctor, and the motivation and knowledge that came from that goal had never really left the young German girl.
The medicine Elise had on hand was doubtlessly going to be useful, given the sheer quantity she appearred to have available, not to mention variety. "They sound pretty helpful. Being able to have medicine using your Quirk means you don't have to be restricted yourself when healing someone, and you don't even have to be with them at the time." Tetsuko observed with her usual militaristic practicality, only for her deep and serious thought to be broken by Elise's more embarassed reasonings. About how she wanted to reserve her kisses purely for her the Shindou girl. "O-Oh, I see." Tetsuko stammered out, her cheeks reddening, trying not to smile too hard at that statement in spite of how happy it made her.
They soon arrived at the meetup spot, where Tetsuko would lightly tease Elise to try and get her a bit hyped up before realizing that maybe the Germanic girl wouldn't be quite up for a melee. "I'm sure I could show you how to throw a punch some time..." Tetsuko responded with a light teasing tone, before Elise made clear she wasn't really all that suited to close quarters combat in any capacity. "I guess for you it's just a matter of making the most of your range..." The swordswoman mused lightly, then considering the usage of firearms in close quarters as well. Likely a more difficult affair, espescially under the pressure and skill of someone skilled with a melee weapon, but it wasn't something to rule out.
Soon enough, most of them had arrived, and their teacher spoke up, apologizing for being gone for some time. Tetsuko, new as she was, was obviously unaware of and unaffected by this absence, but curious about it nonetheless. She could ask about it some other time. He continued on with a spiel about the necessity of combat in many situations, something not at all lost on the young swordswoman, who'd always known herself to be a warrior. More than combat, they'd need to worry about the fact that their Quirks weren't always viable, and in many cases might be easily countered and rendered useless. This also rung true for Tetsuko, who knew all too well her weaknesses. Electricity and magnetic abilities seemed like insurmountable oppositions to her effectiveness, but that didn't mean she intended to see how she might resist them in the future...
It seemed their educator would be combatting one of the soldiers, before they eventually had to do some of their own sparring. Nothing too crazy, Tetsuko was certainly not a strasnger to sparring by this point, having gotten caught up in all manner of challenges and duels in recent times. However, in all those cases, she'd always shown courtesy to her opponents before their fights. Kazuo did not seem interested whatsoever in such a concept.
Even the great swordsman Musashi was known to use immediately head-on tactics to fluster and surprise his opponents, but what Kazuo did was entirely different, not even bothering to have these fighters face one another before delivering his cheap sucker combo. Eyes widening at the violent display, Tetsuko nonetheless didn't seem too concerned for the young teacher. He was a professional Hero, after all, and wasn't going to go down that easily.
"We should watch closely... I don't think I've seen Hayashi-sensei fight before." Tetsuko admitted quietly, watching as he countered with those comical disembodied hands of his. An interesting Quirk, to say the least, but it remained to be seen what limitations and weaknesses it might have, and how they might affect the teacher's performance against this Quirkless powerhouse of a soldier...
