You leave me here wondering if I'll ever know How much you care, or how much you don't If you're going to be somebody's last time, baby be mine. “ Kyla nodded sheepishly as the core on her forehead lit, up. A happy face appeared on it with the mouth spaced like the number three on its side as Nyke confirmed Kyla's ideas. This was all they had at the moment, but Kyla was glad that nothing was being immediately shot down. It was all just hope though. It was entirely possible that things would get shot down once the robots started to be made. Something things were just too impractical or impossible. But Kyla was hopeful that all their ideas could get through. And not just Nyke or her ideas. There was going to be a robotics club and she wanted their ideas to make it in too. She didn't know what other students were interested, but she hoped they used this chance with the base being opened to get ideas like Nyke and Kyla were doing. All in all, it was looking to be a good visit. "That's a weird weapon, but it has some cool factor." She said in relation to the gun-sword. A sword with a gun or it or vice versa was unexpected, but she could see the appeal. Surely that was in a game of some kind right? "We could even give them more than two arms and get it super crazy." She added as she flailed her arms a little bit to motion what she was talking about. It was odd given the lack of expression on her face, but her body movements made up for it. She went on to suggest some ammo types for the smaller guns and nodded. "Yeah, they'll need protection from that stuff too. Maybe we should get some more data on everyone's quirks. Give everyone a nemesis robot." The idea of it was cool but hard to implement. A robot that worked against a specific quirk could be troublesome. It was good for training, but it could prove to be a downfall if people used that information for bad. There were already rumors of one student being expelled over something bad and she didn't want any other bad apples to use their machines for something uncouth. It was a big responsibility they were taking, so Kyla had to make sure that the information was private. "There's one guy from class 1-C that the flash bombs would be really good against. But Lani would be effective against the robot. It could make teamwork really good." Kyla nodded to herself mostly as she spoke about it. Getting the students to work together rather than fight each other to get better seemed like a good idea. She couldn't help them if they wanted to spar, however. But as long as the robots provided an adequate challenge, maybe there would be fewer injuries on campus. "We'll need some really light weapons for the faster ones too. So far we only really have really heavy stuff. Maybe like a mini bomber." She said as she pointed over to the shells that some of the army's weapons used. Something like a small bomber that just flew in dropped its payload, and then flew away could add some extra challenge. ”

Demon Machine i no longer fear ending my hell Nyke nodded silently as Kyla provided more ideas. The trip was proving to be very beneficial as they could parse out their idea together and keep suggesting things. Playing off each other was helpful and having examples close by even more so. As for the gun sword, it was weird, but that was what made it interesting. It was unexpected and unconventional, so it would be useful in helping others prepare for just that kind of thing. Nyke took a step back. She shifted the majority of her weight on to that leg and placed her hand on her hip as she looked over the weapons that were on display on the racks and in the cases. There was a lot here in terms of offensive, but what about defense. Sure, she was planning to develop the robots with the intention of them being destroyed. But if they feel apart like paper, they weren't any more useful than the cardboard they had now. Like Kyla was saying, crafting the machines to deal with the quirks present at the school was very useful. Making it so that they could withstand the attacks of even the stronger students in the class was a good idea as well.
"Shields."
Nyke spoke simply and clearly once again to bring up the fact that some of the machines could defend as well. It wasn't like villains were always the attackers and heroes always the defenders. If they were going to root out a villain nest or take down a fortress, then learning how to break through a mighty defense was important. Things like gunfire and fists were easy enough but did the army have the power to deal with stronger quirks. What would that even look like? Nyke looked at the weapons again and then to Kyla.
"Protection too."
She pointe dup to Kyla's Core as an example. Nyke didn't know the ins and outs of Kyla's quirk or the core, but she knew it was technology based. Surely it needed protection from quirks that used technology. They could even split the machines into categories with Kyla's line of logic. Between offensive machines, defensive ones, and the utility ones with the lights, they could create a useful scenario for every class. But they also had to be careful not to overload a machine with too much of everything. They wanted them to be light, disposable, and easily rebuildable. At least, that was Nyke's goal. Loading a robot up with too many things would only hinder the process.
"Interchangeable parts..."
That was it. The best way they could get all of this and put it together. Making the robots with interchangeable parts would do everything they wanted so far. They could have different methods of movement or even be stationary. Some could have ranged attacks or melee attacks. Others could be outfitted with utility or weapons and they could reuse parts and frames on destroyed machines many times. It was a perfect solution provided they could a system like that going. It was something to discuss with the robotics club for sure. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

You leave me here wondering if I'll ever know How much you care, or how much you don't If you're going to be somebody's last time, baby be mine. “ Kyla nodded as the conversation went on. And the next thing brought up wasn't even in the armory at all. It was a logical conclusion to everything that was said so far. Not all villains were outright attackers. In fact, most were not. Their goal was to escape more than it was to just beat down heroes. Being able to protect themselves from hero attacks was a smart thing to plan for. Additionally, it was a great way to test to see if a person's quirk improved enough to do any more damage. It was a lot safer than testing it out on each other. If Kyla could smile, she would have. Instead, her core lit up with a yellow light and a smiling face as she thought it all over in her head. "Of course! I can see some really annoying and challenging lineups with shields added to the mix." And not just shields either. As Nyke said, there were all kinds of protection that could be added to the machines to protect them against certain quirks just like they could have weapons to make them better against other quirks. It was a clever idea, but it was going to take a lot of information and planning to get that off the ground. Making all these different machines was going to take quite a bit of time as well. It seemed insurmountable, but Kyla was confident in it. After the newfound information of Nyke's origins, all of this planning wasn't such a distant dream. "Okay! So we can just match weapons and protections with the things that best support them. Maybe if..." Kyla started, only to stop as Nyke spoke her last few words. Interchangeable parts was a game changer for sure. Kyla was thinking they'd have to design each and every variation from scratch, but with parts that could mix and match all they had to do was make it so things integrated with each other decently. "Okay, I think we have all we need then. Let's make sure we pick up pamphlet here too though." Kyla explained as she turned around, elated by the idea of building battle bots with changeable parts. It was like a lego or rector set. They could make a variety of things just from a few parts and have them all be different. She walked over to the person that was watching them before. The soldier was happy t see young people take such an interest in what the military had to offer. Sure, there were nuts and obsessive people around that were way into this stuff, but seeing quirk users still see a use in the military was a great thing. "Does this display had a guide or pamphlet of some kind?" Kyla asked sweetly as she looked up at the man. He nodded and pointed over toward what would be the front of the building. Where Kyla and Nyke had come in was the back entrance. The stand in the front had a couple of pamphlets that described the history and use of the older weapons, so Kyla was sure to go over and pick one up to add it to the one she had for the vehicles. ”

Demon Machine i no longer fear ending my hell Nyke thought for a moment about the annoying combinations that Kyla brought up. Nyke knew how easily she got annoyed with bothersome things. She had a habit of overreacting to them, like with the fly in the computer lab not too long ago. And while the whole event got her a member of the robotic's club, she also ended up destroying a keyboard. It was a problem that she never really experienced since she always had money and came from a rich household. So the idea of annoying robots concerned her. She didn't want to frustrate the machines too much. But at the same time, it would encourage them to be defeated. And if she built them to be easily repaired, them getting wrecked wasn't a real problem and, in fact, the intention.
"Okay."
She let Kyla go off to get another pamphlet so they had a point of reference after the military base closed back up. They had a whole lot of information and ideas to work with now. Even with just the few things they mentioned they could put together a great number of different machines to start with. Now came the hard parts of it all. While Nyke was confident they could get the resources and technical expertise they needed to make these machines a reality, she had to ask the person she least wanted to speak with. Bringing this subject up with her father was going to make it seem like she was going along with what he wanted. The man wanted Nyke to be the face of his business and the hero to promote the new line of products that were made for the hero market. She didn't want his brand on the things she made, but if she was going to use his capital, his workers, and his facilities, she didn't have much choice Until the time came that she could manage it herself Nyke had to rely on her father. And knowing his, he'd ask for bothersome things in return. The girl visibly shook a moment as she thought about it before turning her attention to Kyla. Walking over to where the girl was, Nyke saw that she was able to get the thing she wanted.
"Let's go."
It was quick and quiet, but the girls were done here. It was going to be the starting point of their foray into the world of robotics and who knew how it was going to turn out. Just outside the building's front was the tour group they had come to the armory with. They were finishing their loop and heading back to the vehicle to return to the front of the base. From there they could either exit or take another truck to a different portion of the base. With the opportunity in front of them, Nyke lightly tugged on Kyla's wrist to show that they ride was starting to load up. It was time to go, but this wasn't going to be the last that Nyke saw of the base. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

You leave me here wondering if I'll ever know How much you care, or how much you don't If you're going to be somebody's last time, baby be mine. “ Kyla felt the tug on her arm as she looked over the pamphlet with the weapons inside of it. Stories and histories of each of them were given very brief descriptions. Those stories could lead to ideas of all types of weapons, which was why Kyla wanted one. But when she felt Nyke tug on her, her attention was drawn to the girl. It was sort of adorable that she had the mannerisms that she had. The girl was small, which lent to her cuteness, but being tugged on in that way rather than being spoken to had a strong little sister vibe to it. Sure, they were the same age and Nyke was just short, but it was hard not to relate the two. Kyla couldn't help but chuckle silently as she looked down at Nyke. "Oh, we're ready?" She said, figuring that it was time to go. It felt like it went by in a flash, but they were ready to leave the armory section of the base. They got the majority of the information they came to the base to seek and now they had the chance to check out the rest of the base or just go home. Kyla actually wanted to check a few more things out. It was less related to the robotics club and more related to the other things she had to do on the base. Between finding some doctor and preparing a bakery sampling on the base, Kyla was actually going to be really busy here. Not to mention that there were going to be various classes and things on the base for the duration they were opened. Everyone was looking to take advantage of the opportunity to get all kinds of sightseeing, training, and learning is done. "Let's go then." She said, following Nyke outside. Immediately next to them was the tour group that was leaving the administrative offices of the armory. She didn't really get a chance to meet the people in charge of it all, but that was fine. There was plenty of time to meet the soldiers and learn about them from the other activities she had to do. The truck that drove them all over to this section of the base started to pull up. And has it slowed to a stop, Kyla folded up the pamphlets and slipped them into her purse. She checked her persons to make sure she didn't leave anything behind before getting ready to board the truck. One thing of note, however, was that the odd man from before wasn't present near the truck. They were down one person and wherever he went, he wasn't ready to leave just yet. Kyla didn't know what that was all about, but she didn't really have the time to look for him either. Was it really any of her business anyway? The hero side of her was saying yes. Part of being a hero was sticking your nose into a situation even if help wasn't asked for. Not all people could plead on their own behalf. So as she took her seat on the truck, Kyla wondered just what that man was up to. ”
