Rowan had decided that she would not fit into the military parts and that it was definitely not her future but if she wanted to be a hero, she better learn more about everything she could and would have to do in the future. However that applied to a future that would happen in three years, not right now. She wasn't entirely satisfied about being here but she had decided to come, show her best interest and just be there.
She actually wanted to go to the shooting range, perhaps using a gun or anything would teach her something about her aim while throwing and using her quirk. She had no real ideas of what she should do, she actually strolled past the stages of this location, medic.. totally not her thing, she would freak out with the slightest drop of blood and that did not even sum up what it would be if it was her blood. Totally not fitting for that. She stopped walking, glad she picked up a black pair of skinny jeans and a normal looking crop top in a mint colour, so she wouldn't be here running around in a skirt or dress. Perhaps a crop top wasn't good either but she had dropped her jacket over her right forearm to just carry it with her, it was too warm to actually wear it.
Her curiousity brought her to the rescue missions, where she simply narrowed her eyes by the scenes that were there, she believed they installed a lot of things and she wondered if the military itself used this on a daily basis else a huge maze, basin and everything would be a waste of space and time. Rowan shook her head and wanted to head out when she noticed two people standing at the entrance, she had missed them when she got in as they stood on the left, right behind the entrance. "Are you looking for a mission?"
Rowan wanted to shake her head but she was not sure if it wa smart to deny any invitations. But the person, the woman, had crossed her arms in front of her chest and did not seem to be very happy about something and the other, the guy, seemed to be more neutral in the regards of whatever the issue was. Rowan looked at her left, as she had turned to look at the speaker, she stood in the middle of the entrance and she wondered if anyone would come to her rescue. "If you want to do a mission, I suggest you find someone to join you. Are you a user?" Rowan lifted her right eyebrown in a silent question, "A quirk user." The woman sighed loudly, it wasn't as if Rowan was dumb but user could mean so many more things. She simply nodded before deciding that that was rude, "I create a spark." Was the easiest way to explain the time spark quirk that she had. The woman seemed to be only more grumpy and Rowan made the assumption that she was not pro-hero or more like pro-quirk users and that she rather have it in the hand of quirkless people, such as herself. "If you find someone to team up with you, you could do the rescue mission in the basin." She turned to look at the huge tank of water and wanted to snicker in a sarcastic way, you throw a fire user into a huge tank of water.. that meant she wouldn't be able to use her quirk, on the other hand she never tried. "I think I pass." She turned her heel to walk out, "Pff I knew it, coward, so she will never learn." This pissed her off so much that she wanted to find someone to help her to proof this... woman, that she was not a coward. She just simply hated swimming, even at the water trip with her own class she barely went into the water. |

Meanwhile. This Military Camp was the best thing that happened to Miku. She wanted to use every moment, every second to improve. Her first activity was shockingly with Alex. The 2 sparred versus two people from the combat area. Her 2nd activity was the paintball match. She was teamed up with Darren of all people. And against Aki and Alex of all people. She was the only 1B student with a bunch of 1C students. Nevertheless everything was so thrilling to her here.
Now she walked toward the Rescue Area. She wanted to learn how to rescue people, as she was ashamed she never got to find Cian sensei when he was free. Miku felt guilty about that, feeling she was letting her teacher down. But here, at this military camp. She could learn rescue, she could do good and make him proud. Not just her teacher but her dad too!!
On her way there, she saw Rowan. Miku smiled as she was happy to see her. She went to greet her friend
"Hey Rowan!" Miku called out to her as she walked over to her
As Miku neared her, she saw that Rowan seemed angry or upset. Which made Miku ask her "Hey! Are you ok? Did something happen??"

| ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ She was really angry, but that was her short temper, she had her fist balled and an angry expression on her face while she walked out of the compound. She would explode from her anger if she had not controlled her quirk at all. She was just so focused on her anger management that she had missed Miku, she totally didn't notice the blonde that was walking towards her. "Oh, Miku." She was really surprised because she had no idea there were other people here, not at this point. She was so absorbed in her own world at this point because of the frustration.
She did not want people to see how frustrated she could get and with that hackled a bit in words, more hanging on into a stream of eeh and uhm and so on. Rowan had no idea how to start, "They just called me a coward in there." She pointed with her right thumb backward, "I think they did not mean to let me hear that or perhaps they even did but there is this water basin that they use for rescue missions and they won't allow me. They first said I had to find a partner or more I don't even know but as soon as they figured out my quirk, they pushed me away." She did not want to add to the fact that she was too competitive for this and that she would want to jump in there very badly. She wasn't even sure if she had the right clothing for this, as she had not thought of bringing a bikini with her and she definitely did not think that she would be able to borrow one because that was not her cup of tea. She couldn't get rid of her frustrated feeling, "Sorry," She wanted to give her an apology and an excuse but Rowan couldn't come up with anything, "I would not even know if I am able to do this rescue mission, I mean I am going to U.A. for Pete's sake."

It seemed that Rowan was angry but tried to hide it. Miku peeked behind her at the people and then looked back at Rowan who explained the situation
Eager to learn more about rescue and to help her friend, Miku made Rowan an offer she couldnt refuse "So? They said you need a partner. Well you got one right infront of you! Why dont we show those people who's Boss??"
Little did Rowan know that this place actually brought out the competitive side from Miku. The one she inherited from her dad. Miku then tried her best to reassure Rowan "So what if its a water basin? We wont let a bunch of water scare us off! We're UA Students and future heroes! Not some delicate daisies"
Miku was determined to learn how to rescue people and she was FILLED WITH DETERMINATION when she was that Rowan was being denied entry. She was to help Rowan at all costs. After all, what are friends for? Miku couldnt afford to be a delicate daisy. Not anymore. She didnt have her dad anymore at her every beck and call. She had to grow up and learn how to fend for herself and learn how to become a Hero

| ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ She had noticed that she had lifted up her hands or well her fist and was slightly shaking, it was good she was not holding something in her hand as she would have let that explode accidentally. It had been a while that she felt a tantrum wave wash over her but it would not be strange for the rich girl, she wanted to get every right that she thought she deserved and apart from the need for a partner, which she had not even gotten time to find, she felt it was wrong to be called a coward.
She blinked a couple of times rapidly to focus on Miku, not realizing how rude she could come off until it might be too late and she hoped that Miku would forgive her, on her perfect red lips appeared a smile, "Of course, how could I forget." Although she had no idea what kind of quirk Miku used and she wasn't sure if she wanted to burst Miku her bubble but that her quirk might be useless in a water basin, she actually wanted to try. It wasn't really creating a fire, after all, it was making a spark with the process of speeding up the molecular time which made the combustion. "You are right, let's show who is boss." She laughed shortly and smiled now at Miku, letting go of the balled fists and lower her arms and holding on to the strap of her bag which was on her right shoulder. "I am not sure how they planned to have the training though. Do you think they have swimming suits?" Would you have a dive suit ready or would that have to be thought off in your hero outfit, which she had not thought about and she decided not to wait and ask for the impossible but just step in again and ask the person that had actually laughed at her, she was pathetic laughing because of a quirk user. Rowan decided she simply believed this woman was jealous and was over and done with that.
No delicate daisies, she actually liked that, "It would be wonderful if you could join me Miku. I would be feeling a lot better." She said and ushered the blonde to come with her to get back into the rescue compound and she walked with straight steps to the two people that were waiting in front of the basin. "I found a partner, so we are ready for this rescue mission." She crossed her arms and looked with a same burning expression as the woman looked back at her.
The woman sighed and pointed at a corner next to the basin where they could leave their items. She dropped her bag there and her jacket and waited for the two of them to get closer, where she explained the diving gear which was not much. Only a small horizontal item not much bigger than her mouth that would provide the oxygen .The woman explained that they needed to make sure to breathe through their mouths and not their noses as that would fill their lungs with water. So much for reassurance ."What about swim suits?" The woman shook her head, "We don't have any, you won't have the luxury to change in a life or dead situation so neither do you have now. Of course there is a room to dry off after your rescue mission." Rowan was definitely not dressed for this and looked at Miku. Not wanting to drag her in but like she said, they weren't delicate daisies ."Alright. Let's start." |

When Rowan said that it would be wonderful if Miku joined, saying she'd feel much better. Miku happily said "Of course!" as she was glad to help and get this rescue mission ROLLIN'
Rowan then turned to the staff or whatever and spoke to them, saying she found a partner. She also asked hem about swimsuits. Miku thought to herself "I'll dive in my clothes if I have to. Who cares, its just water. I'll get wet if it means rescuing someone"
She was ready to dive fully dressed and headfirst. She needed to make it up to Cian. Miku was a terrible student. She needed to show the teacher that she cares.
The person spoke to Rowan that there were no swimsuits, saying that in real case sceario you wouldnt have the luxury to change. And thats what Miku agreed with.
While she wasnt quite dressed for this. She didnt care. She was ready to save stuff. Miku looked at Rowan at the same time Rowan looked at her
"Alright. Let's start." Rowan spoke
"Yes. Let's" Miku agreed as she grinned and was ready to take on anything with Rowan by her side. Whatever this chalenge had, Miku was convinced they could do it

She had met Miku now a couple of times, two times more related to the cooking club than to anything else and now on the try outs for the military. Something that did not fit Rowan but her compativeness made her join almost everything without a second thought. She wondered if she would be able to call Miku her friend, when did you actually call someone a friend? Was it when you depended on someone? Because she believed that she was doing that already for the second time, her interaction with Akio would have not been as smooth as Miku wasn't there. Which reminded her of something, "Are you dating Akio?" She would feel jealous, she knew that but the feeling did not come. The burning lady remained quiet, now again, she did not like someone instantly, that took a lot before she would be able to give someone.. someone a hug.. Maxi was forced. But the jealous feeling remained out, she did not understand and perhaps that's when she realized that she would be happy for her friend and tht she indeed could call Miku her friend.
Rowan her rich side might be shown as she asked for the swimsuits as she waited for Miku to ask for the same or complain but the blonde did not say anything and her golden eyes looked at Miku again. But perhaps it was right, there was no luxury or time in case of a rescue mission, so she would have to think about that. She would have to consider a lot of things that she would not like in the future and her hero suit should be amazing if she wanted to resist all that. She kicked off her shoes, because they would only become a hassle and probably lost in the tank anyway. "Alright, let's start." She said at the moment she made sure Miku agreed and she did.
She followed the diver instructors as they climbed a ladder, one first and the other following them, no way back anymore. She got up first and took the little air filter from the woman and checked if it worked, "You would have to rescue people from a sunken ship, there might be people there that you can't trust and want to sabotage it or perhaps a bomb after all it is unknown to you at this point how the ship sank." Rowan looked shortly at Miku, she was not sure if her quirk would be off use, she had never tried it under water and she did not know the quirk of her partner or any other abilities.
She braided her hair again and put it in a knot with a second hairtie and nodded, time to go. "We should come up with a sign language, else we can't talk." She turned quickly to Miku, something the woman seemed to find anyone. "A thumbs up is that you have to get up, I believe. and," she made an circle with her thumb and index finger, while the other three fingers were up, "This should mean okay. We can make a cross with our arms if it's not okay. And I think that are the most important ones."
If Miku agreed or come up with something extra, Rowan would wait, if she did not come up with anything else, she would sit on the edge of the basin, the little deck they had made attop and let herself be dropped backwards. Something she hated more than going forward but the instructor had explained that backwards gave less of a splash, didn't hurt her face nor the gear and would be better for her safety. But the water was colder than she expected, probably had to do with her being a fire quirk user if you would call it like that. |

As they went towards the compound, Rowan asked a peculiar question "Are you dating Akio?". Miku didnt know why she asked that, but she answered it "I am. We just started recently."Miku thought that Rowan perhaps had a thing for Akio. He was kind and nice and handsome after all. But the thing is, ever since Chimera yapped on about homosexuality and revealed to Miku that yes indeed. Girls could love girls romantically too. That thing such existed. Miku was thus left confused if Rowan had a thing for Akio or... Miku. Although Miku shook her head at that idea. That a girl would like her that way. Especially someone as beautiful as Rowan. It was laughable. She was lucky Akio noticed her. Then again, she did wonder what would've happened if a girl asked Miku on a date instead of Akio "Hmm... well, I would've said yes. I mean...It would be interesting. And I'd be curious" Miku thought to herself about her little 'what if' situation
Miku wondered if Rowan had valuable clothing or if she was too shy to go to the water in her clothes and not swimsuit. Never really crossing her mind that she was rich and thus was not used to this.
Then, along with Rowan, she followed the diver instructors as they climbed a ladder. As the person explained the situation, Miku thought she could handle this. As long as there's fertile soil, she can do this. There are underwater plants too, she could try and control them. Although, thinking about it, she never went underwater to try that. Ah well, first time for everything. Its not like this is a pool and thus has no real sea bottom, right?............... Right?

| ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ Rowan looked at Miku, she wasn't sure if she interperted her facial expression correctly but she believed that she, Miku, was rather satisfied about the idea, "I believe he said something about making a cake for someone and he looked at you, and I have been wondering ever since." Well actually she had another question about that day, they had mentioned crazy stuff and Rowan wondered what that could all have been about as they had not heard her question and she was without any answers. But there was no time for that at this point because they reached the instructors. She did not want to make use of Miku, she had been really interested in the fact if they were a couple. She had no idea how you could have a relationship with someone as that meant you had to touch them, like hold hands, perhaps even kiss and she was not sure if she was all able to do that. Must be a piece of cake for someone of our caliber.
And that thought, she ignored with pleasure. So she turned towards the instructions and made sure that they got everything they wanted. It was a water tank and thus she hoped that it was clear water, no salt water like the ocean than her clothing might be ruined, which she would despair even more than missing out on the rescue mission, this is why she asked for a suit, apart from that it would perhaps make it that her short woolen crop top would make it quite heavy, it was probably fake, she did not wear the scratchy itchy woollen clothing anyway.
She was the first to drop in the water and realize how cold it was and was glad to know that she automatically would breathe through her mouth and the device and not get water in her lungs because she automatically would breathe through her nose. She swam a little away from the deck to make sure Miku could drop down too, now that she was underwater, she was quickly used to the cold water, radiating her own heat with her quirk that it was not really bad anymore. She swam down a little making sure that her eyes got used to the darkness that showed when you looked at the bottom of the tank. How big was this thing and how long would it take for them to find this ship? How would you hide a whole ship in here and what would they find there. She had no meanings now anymore to talk to Miku. |

"Y-yea... I think he meant it for me. Sorry if we made you feel weird. Sometimes, I dont like when he gets affectionate around others. I dont want jealousy or drama or any kind of trouble. So I tell him to calm it down a notch. Sorry" Miku apologized for that moment if it made Rowan uncomftarble
Later when they arrived to the area, Rowan was the first to jump. Miku just shrugged and did the same
"Geronimo!" she thought to herself as she jumped and landed in the water. The high tech mouth piece was a life saver. Although, she forgot one thing about this
"Oh yea... i have to dive.. and I dont have eye protection... I never dived with my eyes open or if at all... Gosh darn it dad! Your 'yolo' life just got me in possible trouble" she thought to herself as she mentally told her dad off.
She then dived down. And it was an experience to do it without some goggles or mask or anything that would overprotect her. It did kind sting maybe.. it was an uncomftarble feeling to say the least.
Her little eye situation distracted her from the water temperature. She had cold water before. But diving like this was new. Not to mention Miku remembered she might have a communication problem with Rowan. Miku couldnt remember if she told her Quirk to Rowan.
"Uhhh, how would I signal 'Plant Manipulation' to her?" she thought to herself

| ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ The water was a strange feeling towards Rowan, surely she had done swimming before and she had swimming classes when she was but small but actually being underwater like this was not something she had done before. She missed the idea of swimming gear because they could never be very quick like this and she couldn't see the bottom of this tank, although she knew it couldn't be very far unless they went on underground as they wouldn't have been able to see that. She narrowed her eyes while looking down, she noticed that this tank was used to recreate a real scenario, as there were fish further down and she felt a shiver go down her spine. This is why she had the ocean and lakes, this is why she preferred swimming in a pool. However, she had decided to show that she was not a delicate daisy and that meant that she couldn't go back, she was no coward. Rowan wanted to take a deep breath but recalled on time that it was not possible to actually do that. She moved her hand through her bangs to put them behind her ears, which didn't work and pointed down with her index finger to tell Miku, who joined her soon enough, that she would swim there and to come along. They should not split up.
The idea that the luxury was gone, as a hero she wouldn't have time for a swimsuit, that made sense made her freak out a bit about the pressure for a hero suit. What the hell should that thing not be able to do all? She moved her legs up and down and pushed her arms in the normal way around to get forward. As she had no goggles she felt that it was difficult to check where she was swimming because it stung but soon enough her eyes got used to it anyway. She noticed the fish and swallowed with difficulty, she definitely did not like it and the ominous dark orbs from further below made her not satisfied either. She avoided those at all cost, a sunken ship should give a bigger shadow.
She wasn't a fast swimmer like this but glad already that she had taken off her shoes even if the bubbles that she created with swimming stuck beneath her shirt and touched her stomach before they got out of the crop top, but she ignored all that. She had something to prove, she narrowed her eyes again as she was swimming down and forward at the same time, the device helping her breathe without any trouble. She stopped swimming as she saw a great big shadow lurk further down below them but not much further forward, she pointed at it to see what Miku thought. Ma,n didn't they have better devices that could make them communicate or did that come with a swimsuit? |

Miku was slowly get used to swimming or rather yet, diving. As this was something she hadnt done before. She saw Rowan point down in one direction. Miku assumed she meant that the two should swim that way. Miku followed her.
As the two swam, Miku tried to swim as close as possible to Rowan, to be some sort of insurance to her, in case Rowan felt a little nervous about this. And thus for a while the two girls swam together side by side, that is until Rowan stopped. Miku missed it, but Rowan saw something a great big shadow that lurked further down below, but not that much further ahead. Rowan pointed to Miku. But due to lack of communiction, Miku shrugged
"Does she mean swim there? But then why did she stop? Did she see something there?... " Miku thought to herself
Miku tried to communicate with Rowan. She pointed to herself and then pointed where Rowan did. And then tried to make sort of a question mark with her fingers. Miku tried to ask Rowan if she needed to go there
She tried to think of another way to communicate, but for now charades was the only thing she could do to make some cohesive communication attempts. Luckily for Rowan, Miku was a charades princess. Not quite like the undisputed king of charades. But she was a close second

| ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ How weird it suddenly was and how difficult when the lack of communication was gone. Apart from that, there was no body-language or telepathic field that might give them more information. She did not know Miku well enough, she had forgotten to wave away her apology about her and Akio, she had perhaps now accidentally stressed Miku for something that had not happened, only the Burning Lady had become agitated as she wanted something like that. However, Rowan was completely incapable of understanding hugs at this point. So right now it only became more annoying for the black haired student to communicate. As she was not sure if that was the ship and mostly afraid it was something creepy, she pointed at it but it did not seem to be very clear what she meant.
As she had stopped and pointed below, she hoped she was clear enough to commune that she was wondering if that was their goal, it felt already as if they were swimming for minutes and who knew how far below it was before they would find an entrance. She narrowed her eyes as Miku pointed at herself and then at the direction Rowan had used seconds ago, she made another figure that Rowan had to picture before understanding that it must look like a question mark and now it was up to her to explain without words what she meant. They had not thought about anything that would describe the exact location, she could not make a cross as she had said that would be the sign of an error or something. So she frowned and shrugged accidentally but pointed back at Miku, followed by pointing at herself and pointing down making a waving motion, shortly followed by a swimming motion. She meant to swim there, better make sure it was the ship instead of swimming past it. They would only know if they got closer by in the darkness below. She felt really ridiculous by making these signs but there were no other options. She made sure Miku was looking at her before making the attempt to go further down below, so not swimming forward but straight down, which gave her the creeps as apart from dark ominous objects, she could not see what was what. The basin was built to look like the bottom of a lake or a low part in the ocean and that meant that she wouldn't be surprised to bump in some scary creatures too.
Her eyes still had to adjust onto the darkness, but she could see that the large object that she had seen from above, was lighter in color than a couple of boulders that were a large structure that they just passed. Calculating how long it took for them to get here, she believed that it would take another twenty minutes before they would reach the bottom and at that point, they still had to figure out how to enter. |

Rowan shrugged, and then pointed at Miku and then herself and then at the thing. Miku could only assume it meant the two had to swim there. Miku then nodded and just followed Rowans lead.
She just looked around as she swam, not knowing what to do. Once her eyes adjusted, she stated to realize how cold the water actually was, as she did not notice that at the beginning. The two girls finally reached the bottom. Considering this place had fish to make it apparently 'authentic', Miku went to touch the ground, to see if that was real soil too. She could maybe make some underwater plant grow and make them do something
"There's algae, sea grass and umm.. mangroves?... Man, I should brush up on some sea plants." Miku thought as she looked at Rowan, hoping for some help and instructions
The two needed to figure out what to do. Miku tried to think of something, but she was fresh out of ideas. She hoped that Rowan would give her an answer or proper advice, a hint, throw her a bone
"I mean. What can I make a plant do here? I dont think I can rip a hole with a bunch of leaves" Miku thought

| ◀ | The heart is a heavy burden ❤ She was glad that it at least got a bit clearer, she had seen the nod from Miku before she decided to dive down, which gave her more goosebumps than previously and she wasn't entirely happy. Rowan Sakamoto wasn't made for this but also not a delicate daisy, repeating the words Miku had said minutes ago, although perhaps it was already thirty minutes, she was forgetting the time that she had now they were underwater and there was not such thing as light to consider what part of the day it was. She felt cold but as they were moving it would go away as soon already. She was down at the bottom, not wanting to touch it she simply tried to stay upright and at the same place and looked at the ship. It was half made, like the front part of the cruise ship it represented and she wondered how they got it, she noticed that some of the smaller round windows were broken, but those cruiseships were ancient and they were definitely not as modern as she had seen them before.
She watched Miku as she seemed to be moving about, Rowan had no idea what she was doing as she was trying to figure out a way to get in. She lifted up her own hand and stared at it, she didn't actually create fire, she created a spark and with that a firey thing because speeding up the time or scientifcally said; the molecules. She had not told Miku her quirk and neither did she knew Miku her quirk. So that was something that they should have talked about before this mission and that was a thing she learned in case of another rescue mission.
Rowan wondered how she could tell Miku to wait here, she ticked on her wrist as if indicating a watch and pointed at Miku and the bottom. She pointed at herself and made a circle, she would swim around this ship to see a way if she could find a door. If Miku understood or gave her a nod, she would start it. She found the door, slightly more to the right where she had originally started and realized this had been a dumb idea to do on her own, she needed to consider team work. Wether Miku had stayed at her spot or had followed Rowan because poor communication possibilities, she would becon her to follow her and showed her the door. She pointed at her own hand to indicate her own quirk use, she would try to blow up that door.
She would swim back to the door and touch it firmly at the door know, she did not want to make an extreme reaction, she just wanted the slot to open. She had no idea what they would find and thus if Miku stayed too close to the door, she would pull her back. It would take a second before the door would explode. |
