Avril Mitsuki [The Youngest Prodigy]
"The hell you mean I'm not allowed to drive it?"
"Please Avril, remember last time you-"
"Of course I remember. Fine, whatever. I didn't need you anyways."
She reached into the pocket of her leather jacket. Unlike the other nurses and doctors, she was still in her civilian wear. She wore those damn coats nearly every day, all day, twenty four hours and seven says a week. She hated the efforts, and she hated her division even more. However, with all of her transferring, this one, she hated the least. Reaching and digging around the pocket, she held onto the box, only to grab onto it and pull it out. The little white box was still mostly wrapped in plastic, the top of it ripped and unsealed as she flipped the lid. Pulling out a cigarette. She smiled, pulling out the lighter left inside of it, having already smoked half the pack. She placed the cancer stick between her lips as she leaned against the truck. Using her hands to shield her light, she inhaled, getting the sparks to actually catch flame for her smoke.
"Ugh, this blows. Can't get a vacation ever."
She sighed, throwing her head back to tap onto the door of the truck. She was far too well known, and being a reserve only seemed to make her have to work more often than she already did. It was easier to just stand in front of the hundreds and present some new medical technology, or even the stupid training videos she did all those years ago. She hated doing it, but it saved lives. The more people did it right the first time, the less fuck ups she would have to fix later.
She really should have just been a trainer.

“Hey, Elise! Glad you could make it!” Shimizu Haruto was, of course, completely unaware that the German girl would have come even if he had said nothing- But his intentions had been good, nonetheless. His friend had been deeply upset ever since the loss of her parents- And while Haruto couldn’t do anything about that, he did hope to keep her mind off of it for at least a short time. The opening of the military camp for quirk research, combined with his memory of how excited she’d been to explore the “impurities” produced by his quirk, and he felt it was worth a shot if anything.
Besides which, there were a few inconsistencies in the data she had sent him after the tests, compared to how his quirk was supposed to work. All his life, he’d thought that the ‘impurities’ were a passive force, just a typical toxin that was produced as a result of his quirk’s function. A poisonous substance, but one that broke down quickly and therefore stopped causing him as much harm as he grew. The data, however, suggested that they were a more active force- Not a poison, but a cell, and a voracious one that would swallow anything it could engulf, like an amoeba. Plus, it showed that it would reproduce after eating- Suggesting that both the eradication of toxins and their replication were in fact properties of the impurities themselves, as opposed to Haruto’s body.
Hopefully, the medical camp at the military camp would have better tools than the school infirmary, and someone with more experience than two students to interpret it. The only catch was- ”Well, we’re here, and I know that I’m the one who invited you... But, I don’t suppose you’d know who to go for, for this?”

As much as Kirk wasn`t interested in the army, there was one thing he was genuinely curious about. Despite pushing everybody so harshly, the soldiers were usually in very good condition! Well, besides some smokers. One thing that always happened with him if he pushed himself too hard, was painful cramps. That, and proper knowledge of his muscles was always welcome! Although his actual knowledge of the medical arts was very very poor, maybe he could learn how to massage people to feel a bit better. Including himself of course!
However, he could assume that most of his friends wouldn`t be here for similar reason... most of them were very action related. And how could he blame them? He loved working out as well! He would happily be stretching his calves right now, but when even he got curious, he had to sate it.
For now though the only fellow he could see was this... almost unhealthy skinny fellow. It had his eyes widen. Somebody could be this bony? However, he tried to not judge him... last time he had judged someone by looks, he had gotten thrown over her shoulder and a proper kick to the buttocks for even daring to try. He felt like he was a fish out of water, standing there with this fellow. He squatted a couple of times, Occasionally he turned towards the boy, preparing to clearly say something... but he just looked outright miserable to him. Had he been eating well? However, he tried to keep any prideful sayings to himself, as he offered him a hand in greeting. "Hey, dude! My name`s..."
However, he was interrupted by him greeting a certain girl that even he himself knew! This guy knew Elise?! Honestly, the guy seemed way brighter and healthier now in his eyes. Anybody who was a friend of his friends was propably a decent fellow. So, instead of just offering a hand, he outright grabbed it, squeezing maybe a bit TOO tightly. "Kirk Bluster! Elises pal as well!" Honestly, it was a great relief. the thing he said about finding the correct place to go to though... "...I thought this was the one since you were standing here. I`ve got no clue myself" It was not the best. His whole upper body twisted a bit to the side in thought.

The medical camp, it was a place of science and research and also the place where they would find the answers they sought, even if the things they were looking for were vastly different from one another. Being dragged along to the medical camp, or rather having promised Haruto to help find someone would could figure out his quirk Elise couldn't help but pout in protest. Who could blame her? She had just been testing some amazing new gun Tanaka Arms recently developed and then BAM! Haruto appeared and asked- no he actually PLEADED for her to come with him! That guy looked like a poor little puppy who was left outside in a box in the middle of a rainy evening! Even if she disliked dogs, how could she possibly resist such a puppy-eyes look?
Sighing softly the girl shook her head lightly and mumbled softly. "That assault rifle was amazing, wish I had the chance to fire it..." Hopefully, it would still be there later! However, as Haruto inquired about where to go Elise looked around the camp in bewilderment. It seemed they had arrived rather early since the staff was still putting everything ready for the demonstration sessions "Hmm, I dunno... I guess we should approach-" Cue a familiar energetic and loud voice that made her inevitable grin at the young man. "Heh, with a greeting that energetic you might Bluster my ears Kirk~" She grinned sheepishly at him before greeting him properly with a little wave of her hand. "Nice to see you again Kirk~" Fortunately for them it seemed Elise had an idea in mind, for she saw a particularly odd sight, a woman in civilian gear leaning against a truck: Bingo
Perhaps boldly in the eyes of her companions, Elise walked over to her, a light stride in her step as she stopped right before the lady and asked with a sheepish grin. "Sorry to bother you miss, but do you happen to be one of the staff of the medical camp? I couldn't help but notice how you're leaning against their truck without even earning a glimpse of wariness, something most of the visitors would get if we approached the vehicle so... Would you happen to be off-duty and able to answer a few questions I and some of my friends have?"
She gestured over at Kirk and Haruto and added with a smile. "However, they might be the type that could challenge even a professional like yourself~" Of course a little challenge to make the lady inclined to accept the idea of listening to their questions. "My name is Elise von Eisenberg, I used to be part of Tokyo's Medical School but recently transferred to U.A. and they are Shimizu Haruto and Kirk Bluster from the same school~"

Avril Mitsuki [The Youngest Prodigy]
This whole thing was a bust. She didn't want to be here, or there. She wanted to be at home. She wanted to be alone. She didn't want to come back to Japan to teach people about medicine. She didn't care to teach them about their own weird quirks. They were all abnormalities, but even so, there was a few things to learn... but she really didn't want to.
Looking up from her smoke, she could already see her first customers. And while she wanted to turn them away, she was specifically instructed not to. Three kids began to approach her it seemed. With disgust, she tossed the end of her smoked cigarette onto the ground, and stepped on it, rubbing it into the ground. Happy thoughts, happy thoughts, happy thoughts. She begun to repeat in her head, her face forcing a smile. "Bubbles. Bubbles. Bubbles." she would think to herself. It was hard to still be angry when you couldn't even say that word without it making you smile.
. . . "Unfortunately, I'm actually on-duty." she answered the girl, almost in a snarky manner. She was perhaps the one who took her job the least serious. But even so, she was one who also seemed to work the hardest. It came to her naturally. Even if she didn't know how to do it, she always knew what to do. "Avril Mitsuki." she would reply back to the girl, even going as far to extend her hand to the student who seemed to talk just far too much. "That's one hell of a school to transfer from." She would add on. Smiling, she tried to stop herself from laughing, or maybe even crying. Was this girl familiar? Had she presented at that school recently? Who was to say.
"How about we make it fun." She would begun to try to shake all of their hands in greeting, but if not, she wasn't going to take offense to it. After all, they were just kids. "For every question I answer, you will answer one of mine?" It was a fair trade of knowledge, and would at least give her equal grounds to ask the kids some things about that weird school they came from. Whatever abnormalities they had, Avril wanted to find them all out.

The almost snarky response with how the young lady commented she was actually on-duty earned a little grin from Elise, who clearly couldn't help but find herself amused at the doctor's attitude. It was something Elise had shown a clear preference to, while she could handle formality well enough, she vastly preferred those who acted casual or had a more 'dynamic' personality, and the interactions with this doctor seemed to point into the direction that she was about to be lucky. "Pleasure to meet ya Avril~" Elise added with a grin, accepting the handshake as she heard Avril comment about the school choice, making her chuckle softly in amusement.
"Tell me about it, one week I'm spending in lecture halls and practicing in hospitals and then suddenly I'm getting from one mess into another at my new school." Considering she had been forced to help deal with the drug incident so early upon her transfer her first days at the academy had been quite eventful to say the least! Not that she was complaining, it was quite an enriching experience all things considered!
When Avril commented about wanting to make things more fun Elise raised an eyebrow in confusion, yet hearing the idea of it being turned into a 'question' game made it all the more fun and exciting. "Sure~ I'm fine with that, for each question one of us asks, they got to answer a question of yours in return. Are you guys fine with that?"
She briefly turned toward the two boys to get affirmation before turning toward Avril and felt her smile fade a little as the subject turned more serious. "I'll ask the first question then~ Considering you're part of the military it's likely you had to act in war zones before..." She paused for a moment and then asked with a hint of clear interest in her tone. "What goes through your mind when you enter a battlefield? The knowledge your colleagues mind be bleeding out on the ground, being one of the few who can possibly save them. I always wondered what goes on in the mind of a medic at a time like this. In the end, it isn't like being at a hospital, you're in a disaster zone, and the villain responsible for it all might still be around..."
Yes, she wanted to know how it would have felt to had been there at Tokyo Hospital...

Hmm? It seemed that someone had been interrupted when he called out to Elise. Surprised and confused, Haruto could only barely remember to offer his own name as a reply. “Oh, ah, Shimizu Haruto, nice to meet you?” But it seemed that this Kirk was, in fact, a friend of Elise, and so Haruto was happy to meet him... Even if his grip was a little bit painful! Haruto visibly winced as he did his best to return the handshake. Well, the more the merrier, and perhaps Kirk’s attitude could turn out to be infectious- Though, from what he’d seen so far, his worries had been completely unnecessary after all! Maybe he should have just gone on his own, after all...
But while neither he nor Kirk were certain as to which of the busy personnel would be appropriate to interrupt, Elise wasted no time in catching someone’s attention. Though, well, by her attitude, it seemed as though she wished her attention hadn’t been caught? Haruto couldn’t help but feel the same way, seeing the cigarette in her mouth- While he wasn’t usually the judge mental sort, his quirk meant that secondhand smoke was particularly unpleasant for him. In fact, he almost felt nauseous already... Perhaps this hadn’t been a good idea.
But despite her initially shown distaste for the interruption, this Avril Mitsubishi seemed to at least be willing to hear them out. Having been introduced by Elise, he would politely accept t handshake he was offered. Though, to say to ‘make it fun’ by having her ask questions of her own in return for their questions... Was that really okay? Should they maybe find someone else, though it looked like everyone was busy setting up at the moment...
Obviously Elise didn’t share his concerns, immediately accepting the terms without even asking Kirk or Haruto for advice- Speaking of which, apparently Kirk was tagging along with their group? It wasn’t that Haruto minded his presence, but... Well, whatever. As long as Elise was happy, that was what mattered... If he needed to, he could always come back after things were set up to learn about his quirk!
Which it seemed likely he would, as Elise took the first question. A question that made his heart stop- Knowing what he knew, about what had befallen Elise’s parents... It wasn’t hard for him to understand the hidden meaning behind what said. Apparently, despite her peppy attitude, she wasn’t as over it as she appeared. But... He still couldn’t help but feel like his attempt to take her mind off of things was giving her the opposite effect. Maybe this had been a mistake- Especially since, with the doctors still setting up, would they even be able to look more closely at his quirk than they had at the school?
Although at least it would be under the supervision of someone with more experience... But still. In any case, he was content to play the attentive audience to the answer Avril would give, despite his numerous concerns.

Elises quick poke at his volume was a direct hit. "S-sorry!" After that shout, he immediately calmed down a bit. "Nice to meet you too dude." Admittedly, the handshake he got from the dude was predictably weak, but he didn`t let go, so he had to be atleast trying. However, almost like she was ignoring them both, Elise already proceeded to move onward towards some random looking lady in front of a truck... Kirk instinctively proceeded to follow her, since she seemed to know what she was doing, but seeing that the lady was smoking, it didn`t exactly bring to mind someone who knew much about health. Even his grandpa didn´t smoke.
...Which was even more of a reason why Kirk was absolutely taken by surprise when she just proceeded to say she was in duty. His jawdropped, but he quickly smacked his hand onto his mouth, so as to block said surprise as he closed his mouth behind it. The other things the duo talked about, Kirk mostly didn`t have any idea about... except that he should propably introduce himself to her too. "Kirk...!" He momentarily hesitated, as his voice calmed down a bit. "Uh, Kirk Bluster from heroics class... 1-C!" However, when asked if they were ready to answer whatever questions she had if they asked her any, Kirk just shrugged. "As long as its alright to say "I dunno" if I don`t know about it, I am fine with it!" If the lady was about to ask some hard questions on biology, he was gonna have a hard time...
The first question, that was of course asked by Elise, since she was so quickwitted, was pretty simple, albeit wordy, for Kirk to understand: What goes in the medics head when they do their job. Kirk crossed his arms, and actually thought about it himself for a little moment. "Must be some kind of heroic desperation..." He mumbled aloud. His brain couldn`t really think anything unique that was different between the two jobs... Maybe the other one was a bit more concentrated on civilians, while the other concentrated on the villain? That is if the villain was around, or if there was a medic around to handle the civilians... his head tipped to its side in extra befuddlement, as he wondered about it more. He glanced towards Shimizu, who seemed to be in as hard of a thinking moment. Elise must have thrown a hard one!
However, instead of being in contemplative silence until an answer came, he was ready to ask his own question, partially born from Elises question... "Well, if I may ask too, How much muscle would a nurse need compared to a hero? You know since, I assume your primary function isn`t to handle the villains..." But they had to be somewhat ready for a confrontation... Othervise they would end up in an even worse situation! "Uuuh... Maybe better question is, How different is a professional emergency doctor compared to a professional hero anyway?!" It was hard for him to use any proper terms... The japanese books he had been studying didn`t exactly detail different ranks of a doctor, or proper naming etiquette...

Avril Mitsuki [The Youngest Prodigy]
Nothing ever really went to plan. If things always worked out, that wouldn't be so much fun, would it?
"Nothing." she would answer the girl. Avril cleared her mind before every moment, and with repetition, she got damn good at it. She remembered battles, every one of them. They all haunted her dreams, the faces of everyone. But she was their beacon of hope. If she failed, so did everyone else. But people knew what it was like, they understood her role. It was like any dungeon campaign, if you didn't protect the healer, then you all died. Life, was no different.
"If I worry, then I'll fail. If I fail, everyone will die." she spoke, as if it was just another part of her life. It was something constant to her. "If I want everyone to live and get better, I have to live and be better." she thought about those last words, finding them all too specific in relation of the recent events.
"In a hospital, with villains, you only have to worry about one person, or a few. On the battlefield, you have to worry about everyone. Anyone's bullets can hit you, especially your friends." She knew mostly what had happened, without knowing the little details. After all, they needed to keep tabs on the villains, but even they were useful to learn from. Turning to the other boy that spoke, she would address his question.
"Whose to say nurses can't be heroes too?" she would ask, but it was not the one for him to answer. She would save her question for him later. "As you all get trained to use quirks to be a hero, we get trained to use firearms, knives anything else we can get our hands on, including our own hands." She would smile, after all, kids were the darnest things.
With the third one silent, she would assume he would save his question for later. It was time for her to ask a question of her own. "You all have quirks, don't you? What can you guys do, anyways?" Instead of her normal attitude, she had grown curious about the students. Why did they really come here? The medical tent wasn't really a place for fun. They didn't have pain guns or toys to play with. Everyone here was serious and went directly to practices. There was no wasted time, just like work. If they didn't take their job seriously, people would have died.

Avril's answer to her question startled Elise somewhat, to think that a doctor felt nothing on a battlefield. It actually seemed to surprise Elise so much that her eyes briefly widened in disbelief and she repeated the word spoken "Nothing?" she was clearly hesitant to accept it, mostly because it reminded her eerily much of something. Others likely wouldn't have been aware of it before, in the end only Hachi, her homeroom teacher was aware of that second mindset that slumbered within the burgundy-haired lass. "So you think and feel nothing upon the battlefield in order to save those that need you." A soft mutter followed, a hand raised toward her chin. It was way too similar.
"That's... unexpected." the girl whispered under her breath as she shook her head lightly. It was as if Avril's answer reminded Elise of the moments her mind shifted into that mindset that she called her 'Assassin' mode, that moment she felt truly nothing at all, and if she was entirely honest? It terrified her a little. "Then again, it's an understandable thing to do, the lack of feelings helps numb out possible detriments like concern and doubt."
But would she ever be able to do something like that? Briefly closing her eyes she tried to imagine a scenario, one where she was in a disaster area and a group of heroes was fighting a powerful villain while Tetsuko was severely injured. Could she stay calm? Could she banish any thought from her mind for the sake of her task as a healer? No, she couldn't... Her concern and emotions were an essential part of what made her 'Elise von Eisenberg' and as such, the thought of feeling nothing when Tetsuko was bleeding out in front of her was horrifying, to say the least.
Of course, when the doctor commented about a hospital and villains Elise's expression darkened for a moment. Her parents were a subject that still weighed heavily on her mind at times, and given the right circumstances she could sometimes succumb to periods of grief and depression, but for now, she tried to ignore the thoughts, even if they haunted her like a specter. Then again, what Avril said made sense when a villain was involved one usually had to worry about one person or a few, but on a battlefield, the amount of danger was amplified, since bullets disregarded the difference between friend and foe, and a single mistake could end up killing the healer.
It was true, nurses and doctors were heroes in their own right, something she believed firmly in and a belief that was intensified when she heard the stories of how her father made sure that everyone could be evacuated on the floor before closing the emergency exit so that the mooks of Thunder Shock couldn't chase them, a sacrifice to protect those that relied on him.
When Avril asked her question Elise felt herself flinch lightly, then again she had already partly expected that the question would be asked at some point. Considering the army wanted to learn if quirk users were capable of being an asset on the battlefield the fact Avril wanted to know about their quirks made sense. She paused for a moment, while Haruto knew about her quirk, it was still foreign to Kirk and if she was entirely honest? Her quirk still was quite an embarrassing subject to explain. However, a promise was a promise and she certainly had more questions to ask!
"My quirk..." She paused, trying to find the right words to explain the nature of her power to Avril. Considering the medical background of the doctor she assumed she wouldn't need to simplify it, so after a moment she continued to speak. "it alters my body fluids. There is some sort of substance inside them that seems to provide it with a mysterious property. According to tests it causes my fluids to gain the ability to regenerate and heal injuries. Imagine healing bruises or closing cuts. However, it also purifies anything that would be considered 'foreign' to the body."
It certainly was a complex power to explain in a way, but to a doctor it might had sounded fascinating once she went into the details. "However, it also affects my own body, so if I get cut my body will automatically try to heal itself, but like I mentioned, my Quirk purifies foreign elements so I am immune to most diseases and illnesses. Same with drugs and poisons but the downside to that is that medicine doesn't work on me either. Whether it's painkillers or sleeping medication, my body simply rejects them."
A soft sigh followed as she finished the unpleasant nature of her explanation, but not before giving a final clarification. "If you're curious, while ingesting is the most effective, just getting into contact is enough for my Quirk to work. Albeit, recently one of your colleagues found out that consistent exposure to my quirk seems to stimulate a person's natural healing factor." Her cheeks flushed up lightly as she lowered her voice a little. "My girlfriend her injuries recover faster than the average person because of her frequent exposure to my Quirk."
At least for the time being she could finish the matter of her Quirk as a subject and decided to raise another question. "Have you ever found your dedication to healing waver? Like doesn't it frustrate you that you can't prevent someone from being hurt? I mean, I get that we are the only ones who can ease their pain and suffering but haven't you ever thought 'Wouldn't it be better if I can prevent them from getting hurt in the first place?"
A curious question perhaps, but it was an important one to ask. "You mentioned before that you are trained to use firearms and knives, but have you ever felt the desire to use one to prevent someone from being hurt?" She wanted to find out if there was anyone who thought similar to herself...

Was it the answer Elise had hoped for? The one she needed? No one except Elise herself could say that, and she seemed lost in thought. Would this little session help her? Or was Haruto right, and inviting her along was nothing short of a mistake? As for his own feelings on the matter... ”That’s...” Wasn’t the whole thing kind of depressing? The context of the question, the experience that led to the answer. It was all a heavy weight- And he had to wonder, under those circumstances, would he be able to keep a clear head? He, who could barely keep his head clear when he caught a glimpse of the girl he liked?
Speaking of which, he had- No, now was not the time to consider such things. He had come here for a reason, and should try to focus on that!
Just then, Kirk added a question of his own. Err, according to the rules Avril had set out, weren’t they supposed to answer a question for her before they got to ask another? Had he misunderstood the rules? But it was certainly an interesting question- Though, it replaced what was certainly describable only as strange. What did, err, muscles have to do with things? Perhaps the foreigner had misspoken. But the answer certainly gave Haruto some food for thought- Who did say the nurses couldn’t be heroes? His dream was to become a doctor, because his quirk wasn’t conductive to being a hero... But why couldn’t a doctor be a hero? Had he been looking at things the wrong way?
But then, he wasn’t aiming to be a battlefield medic. If he didn’t think he could keep his head clear as a medic, he certainly couldn’t do it as a hero! No, leave the heroism to the heroes, and he would do what he could on the other side. After all, he would have plenty of time to worry about the things he couldn’t do, after he’d done all the things he could! Although right now, as a student- He felt like there was rather little he could do...
Avril’s first question was about their quirks. Elise explained hers first- Although Haruto knew how embarrassing it was for her to tell strangers about it. It was news to him that Tetsuko had begun to heal faster than normal even when not in contact with Elise, though! That was shocking, and he found himself once again marvel king at how useful, albeit embarrassing, Elise’s quirk was. Especially compared to his own, which... Was just so clunky and situational, it felt. Not to mention that it made him fall ill so frequently. He might not be the envious type, but it sure felt like Elise just was more useful than him in every way!
Except in the kitchen, perhaps- But then, that was just a hobby, and wouldn’t be of much practical use. In any case, this question was the perfect segue for Haruto to bring up his own question- The reason he had invited Elise here in the first place, though it seemed she either had forgotten or simply didn’t care. After letting Elise explain her situation, he would speak up- ”Well, actually, that rather ties in to the question I was going to ask. See, well- To start with, my quirk is Purification. My body draws in toxins, bacteria, and other such harmful things from whatever I touch- Mostly the air around me, but I can also draw it out of bodies I touch. In my body, they’re converted into this black, toxic substance which was given the highly unimaginative moniker of, “impurities.” But, um, well- A bit ago, Elise and I did some testing on the impurities out of curiosity, and what we found didn’t add up. Like, for one, they’re actually phagocytes cells, and not a toxic chemical at all- So, my question, well, I guess it’s more of a request than a question, but... I was wondering if it would be possible to use the facilities here to look into it more closely, and find out how exactly my quirk works?”

Kirk opened his eyes wide when the answer to Elises answer was plain old "nothing". "Huh?!" Naturally he was of the mind that a professional was already thinking of their next move! Like a professional baseball player! Immediately after a proper hit they would need to be running to the next base as fast as they could! or perhaps they would need to hit the ball weakly to surprise the enemy team! However, as the lady continued to explain her reasoning, Kirk scratched his head. It made a little bit more sense, especially after Elise just put it concisely. "Yeah, it is easier to perform when you ain`t thinking about too many extra things..." He himself tended to do sports to empty his mind and relax, so it was like a puzzle piece fitting into its hole. Albeit, it just ended up with him forgetting to do his homework or something equally embarrassing...
However, then he got a small answer to his own question... and he felt completely countered. "No no, I mean uuuuh...!" He felt kind of abashed. Guess she either took it a bit personally, or he had just completely screwed up. Apparently the only real difference was that they were more gadgetty folk, and prepared for combat that way instead of relying on their quirk... or that was the picture he got. "Sorry, didn`t mean to be rude or anything! Just curious!"
Luckily the topic changed from his awkward question to something a bit more related to the others too. The question was VERY simple: "What can you do?" To Kirk, the answer would be obvious, but Elise got the word in first. It was rude to disturb others, so he let her go first. He listened as she spoke about her quirk, explaining its intricacies and all sorts of details it included... and his mind started to wander. Body fluids, huh? Honestly, he was feeling a bit dry... he should have propably brought a water bottle with him. Nobody would mind if he took a little sip while somebody else explained things. He gave a quick glance towards the skinny guy... Did he drink enough? He couldn`t get over the fact how malnourished he looked. Thats a guy who needs to drink more, not him... Man, now Elise was starting to use hard words. Kirks japanese was not even close to that level. Was this just normal level of discussion for her? She had seemed like a pretty regular girl that one day when...
He almost snapped awake when Haruto started talking, visibly blinking. It had been like he was sitting in a school lecture room. He outright closed his eyes and shook his head... He had to keep his head in the game. But once again the boy kept talking science... And kirk found it harder and harder to keep himself invested... so he started squatting casually. Just a little bit of energy usage. Nothing extreme, just something to keep him from falling asleep. He was here to learn new things, not get a science lesson on other peoples quirks. It was pretty much healing spit and... something about being dirty and getting cleaned?
Then the boy stopped talking, and there was a momentary silence, with Kirk just squatting away. Until he realized the silence, and looked at both Elise and Haruto and even at this lady in front of them before realizing it. "Oh, my turn!" Finally! As much speaking wasn`t exactly doing this in a way he very much loved, it was still better than doing nothing at all. He stood back up straight, and gave a bit of a flex. "Well, skill wise I am very sporty can play pretty much anything as long as I get the basics down. Although I mostly specialize in baseball and getting hits in. Overall I would say that I have lots of strength and muscle behind my efforts! Also, super basic things I can do is run for a very long time and very quickly, hit things very hard, as well as shout very loudly... although not like earpiercing levels or like somebody with that sort of quirk, if you get what I mean!" ...It was almost like an alien talking compared to the duo, as he seemingly counted these things with his fingers. Instead of explaining what his quirk does, he explained his basic skills instead! And when he got to the quirk...
"Oh... and my quirk is a bag on my back. I can open and close it... and control it a bit musclevise..."
It was just one compact sentence! While rubbing the back of his neck, like he really didn`t wanna talk about it! "Yeah, I think that`s about it!" The others had long scientific explanations about what their quirk did, whilst Kirk explained it without any big details and didnt even end up showing it proper... yet, there he was. Smiling like a job well done.

Avril Mitsuki [The Youngest Prodigy]
It may not have been the best answer to give the little girl, nor any one really for that matter. It was so little information. It told nothing about her mindset, or perhaps it told them everything. In order to preform her duty, she needed to focus, to hone in on what mattered. It didn't matter if she got shot, or hurt. If she saved a life, or lives, that was all that mattered right? That was the only reason she was there.
Listening in to her knew council of peers, she laughed when she found the boy getting defensive. It was a harmless joke, just banter between people. There was no bad blood between them all. Just a few people trying to learn from one another. Each seeking the other for the sake to know more about themselves and what they could do. One girl sought to understand how it was to be a solider, a boy to understand how it was to be himself, and a jock who just wanted to be the best he could be. It reminded her some someone, or someones, rather. But she couldn't put her finger on it.
Listening to all of them talk about their quirks, their strange abilities, she began to piece what some of them were actually able to do. It would have been a lie if she said she didn't want to cut them open and see what made them tick, or what had caused their bodies to change. She wanted to know more, no, she wanted to know everything about these quirks. But for now, she would play her games with them. Give an take. The more she gave, the more she could take. It was just that simple.
The girl talked about how her body fluids all possessed natural healing properties. While she raised a brow, wondering what substance was in her body that would mend, Avril would only be reminded of the bees and their healing honey. It was expensive, but it was given to the military in high supplies. Tea leaves? Surely what had mixed with them, was within her body. That was far too simple to catch her attention.
But the boy who held onto his question, asked whilst giving his answer. He seemed to be the smart one out of the bunch. Maybe he had something really worth sharing. Avril listened in, her eats perking up at the sounds of purification. She smiled, maybe he would be the cure all she was looking for. "Then lucky for you, I have just what you're looking for." she would tell the white haired boy, only to look over at the muscular one. She would stare with a smile on her face, waiting for him to speak. Only to find him.. exercising? Right now? At a time like this?
Listening to him, his simple explanation would only lead to a simple suggestion. "Have you tried steroids, or like, specific exercises for it?" A kangaroo was what it sounded like, although being on his back. She couldn't help but wonder if he fell from the sky, if he could use it as a parachute as well, or could create some drag using the pocket. She had questions, but none worth asking.
"Of course I wish everyone could stop getting hurt, but that's a pipe dream. That's wishing that all of the evil in the world would simply disappear and we would have world peace. The closest we'll get to peace, is everyone being armed to the teeth, and too scared to get shot by their enemy's bullets. As long as light shines, there will always be a shadow somewhere." Darkness did not exist without light, no matter how bright. It didn't matter what side you fought on, everyone lost in the game of war. They fought over petty things, stupid things. They destroyed dumber things. And for what? Money? Oil? Resources? Even if the world allied up, the counties would divide, civil war would always occur, no matter how happy the population was. War was war. War never changes.
"Kirk, we can see what effect some muscle enhancers will have on you if you want." She would begin to instruct the kids as she began to stand up from the truck and head towards the large tent. "Shimizu and Elise, I can draw both of your blood and see the differences between the both of your powe- I mean quirks, and observe changes. We can monitor your cells and the fluids to see how it actually preforms, on a molecular scale. I'm sure they have that thing set up by now. She would reach out to grab the boy by his hand, if as to lead him, but really she wanted to see if just his touch would have cleansed the smoke in her lungs. She want to just find the answer, she wanted to experience it.
". . . Unless you really just brought your friends here to listen to my war stories." Avril would ask the girl, her motives seeming to be the most unclear about the three of them. Surely she was the one that had arranged their meeting.

Of course, it didn't take long for them to arrive at one of the main reasons for this currently ongoing conversation so when Haruto inquired with his question about the nature of his Quirk and the finer details about it. Of course, the doctor seemed quite fascinated by what she heard, wanting to take some samples to see how their quirks would work on a molecular level, pretty much the same type of thing the government might have done to her during those early years when her Quirk first manifested and she displayed her unusual ability? Still, when Kirk introduced the finer details of his quirk she couldn't help but blink in bewilderment. A pouch on his back? Was he like a reverse kangeroo? Wouldn't that be quite uncomfortable to sleep with? Then again, as Kirk explained his affinity toward physical exercises she couldn't help but feel a little bit jealous. If she was as physically fit as he was, then surely she could do more with Tetsuko! Like playing sports together! Then again, all she had going for her was her stamina, her strength was awfully lacking, a thing she had been forced to come to terms with time after time.
"Sure, I don't mind giving a sample if Haru is fine with it also." Then again, she did recall a rather important detail that she would need to mention beforehand. "However, please note that once it leaves contact with my body the properties of my quirk will slowly weaken over time, which might show a change in the molecular level over time." Still, when Avril inquired about whether she had made the two boys tag along merely to listen to her war story Elise merely hummed in amusement. "Perhaps I did~" The truth was that listening to those war stories had indeed been an essential part of her presence here. To discover what Avril might have been thinking, but the more she thought about it, the more she learned about how a professional felt on the battlefield, the more terrifying it started to sound. If she started to feel nothing on the battlefield, wouldn't that mean she would lose a grasp on her own self also? In a way functioning without emotions could be said to be something very unnatural for the burgundy-haired lass. After all, Elise von Eisenberg was an emotional girl, and those emotions were often what gave her power...

Listening to Kirk talk, it hit Haruto like a bolt from the blue! He had been so focused on describing his quirk, he had completely neglected his other skills! Like, uh... Cooking? But, that was a hobby, so, should he really count it? And while he had some medical training, it really wasn’t very thorough... Especially not for someone who wanted to become a doctor. Was his dream really so distant? Perhaps he should talk to the school nurse and teacher of the medical studies course, for advice. Still, he couldn’t help but sigh at his relative lack of applicable skills.
that said, Kirk really did skim over his explanation of his quirk compared to Haruto or Elise. Perhaps it was because it was relatively simple, or did he just not want to talk about it? In any case, Avril hadn’t pressed, and Haruto wasn’t going to either. After all, considering Kirk’s attitude when he had been talking about his own quirk... Well, if Kirk wasn’t going to even pretend to pay attention to him, why should Haruto bother?
“Oh, yeah, I’m fine with that.” Haruto responded to Avril’s offer. He had been suspicious at first, but it sounded like Avril might be able to help! ”Er, like Elise, mine doesn’t last too well outside of my body because the impurities degrade so quickly. We might have to trigger my quirk before taking the sample, just so there are more impurities in the blood to start with?” With Elise, he had given a sample of pretty much pure impurities by pushing his quirk to the limit. Still, for this, he probably wouldn’t have to go quite that far, which was more than fine with him- It was not exactly a pleasant experience when his quirk was overloaded.
”Although, I should say- I don’t exactly know if my quirk is in my blood, or if it’s some other part of my body that turns the toxins into impurities, so- Well, it could be that a blood sample won’t do anything.” He couldn’t help but warn, but even just knowing whether his quirk was in his blood or not would be something new he didn’t know.
