“Well, at least one of those gets you outside once in a while. I was half expecting you to stay studying and doing homework. Would be such a waste to be going to the first hero school ever and just be shut in your room the whole time.” he responded to Miku with a laugh, not realizing how close to home he had actually hit.
When Eli lost his shit over being called short, Alex suppressed a laugh and patted him on the head when he was done. ”I might only be as smart at one, but at least I’m taller than a ten year old.”
”Long walks, huh? Isn’t that like the standard dating show answer?” he mused as Eli revealed basically nothing interesting either. Sad, it would appear that he might be spending time with the two most boring people on the entire planet. He almost wanted to go jump in traffic or something to liven things up a bit, but immediately thought better of it. He doubted Eli or Miku would report him, but he didn’t trust that Miku’s dad wouldn’t actually kill him or report any overtly stupid or delinquent actions.
”Hobbies, huh? Lifting, shit posting, detention. You know, the usual stuff that you need to do every day.” he joked, ”But seriously, that new teacher is going to be the death of me. I haven’t ever been beat the hell up in a classroom setting before, it’s weird – especially because you can’t really fight back against a teacher.”
When Eli offered to order the pizza ahead of time, Alex just gave a thumbs up and started walking slowly in a random direction that was probably wrong. He did it for the small chance that he was actually correct and looked like a genius, but kept his pace glacially slow because he knew it wasn’t exactly likely. He had a very poor sense of direction to begin with, so it wouldn’t exactly be surprising for him to instead instinctively go to the opposite direction by accident.
