Addiction. It was what destroyed homes and ripped parents from each other. It was what sent kids away and led to abuse and manipulation to those that you shared blood with. Blood. Blood is thicker than water. That was the misconception. Blood of the covenant, is thicker than water of the womb. Bones will always be stronger than bones. Bones. Bonds. In her case, they were the same person. Person. Addiction. It wouldn't take long for anyone that experienced her powers to want to know more. She was not someone who would give it so easily, but this boy had become her plaything. He was her classmate. Either for better or worse, having him on a leash would benefit her. Either he would serve to be a worthy partner, or he would bend to her will in the chance they must face each other. He wanted her. That was how she wanted it. She would lead allowing her new pet to follow her. She was going to honor her word, she would tell him. However, she would not tell him the full truth. The less anyone knew, the better. But she wanted to at least tell someone. Perhaps getting him drawn to her, stuck to her, he would never speak of her origins. Maybe, she could talk to him like no one else. And he would never betray her. He would never betray his drug."It's a place called Haji." she would say, "A cheap diner, with a long menu. They also have good sushi, but I never had a reason to try more than a bit. Their burgers are to die for."Death. Can you get addicted to death? If the rush of pain was death, then that was her drug. Scars, cuts, names, words. She had them engraved all over her arms. She didn't want to use her quirk for her own high, and to watch that gray flud pour from her. . . Oh right. It was red. That was what blood was colored. She would turn to look over her shoulder to give a smile to the boy as she went on. The diner was around the corner, she knew that. She would give a wink, only to look back forward and continue their walk. "I hope your hungry. I know I am." And her steps would be lighter and lighter, until she was all but skipping her way there. She was going to enjoy this. ~ 410 ~

Without being able to figure out why exactly he seemed to want her to touch him again so much, he kept on following her exactly like a pet who looks up to their master, doing his best to just ignore his desires or sudden needs. Why was he already seeing her in such an image so fast? He had barely met her, he only recently spoke to her properly, he only recently got her name! One simple touch and his mind was now fixed on her! Was he actually that love starved!? Probably, he probably was just that love starved for girls his age, it can only be that. No quirk has that power over him.
Before he could continue trying to think about it and, god forbid, possibly break away from her hardening grasp on his feelings, she spoke about the place they'd eat at. One of those family-like sounding places where you could eat a lot of different meals. He always loved those, their meals always had that "at home" feeling. Making a mental note to try the burgers, he nodded excitedly. "Aw man, now you gettin' me hungrier! Have some mercy, love!~" He jokingly sassed her a little, even flirting just a little bit, something that surprised him. It wasn't even something stupid or something along the lines that usually got him slapped. In fact, he actually found it good coming from him.
Upon her saying that she hoped he was hungry, along with the smile and the wink that made his heart flutter over to the skies, he simply nodded and kept following her with joy that seemed to never dissapear on him. Was she truly the one he actually crushed on? A slightly suspicious girl, with a quirk he couldn't understand? Fuck it, yes he does. He is crushing hard on her.

She would open the door of the diner, kicking it wide so it would stay open for her guest to follow. She was not going to waste time holding the door for him. He was beneath her. He needed to fend for himself, or die trying. She would hold up two fingers to the hostess only to be led inside. She would look behind her, only to see that he was following, and if he still was, she would follow the hostess to her seat. There, the two of them would find a booth set for them. The utensils already set, the menus laid out, and all of the sauces and toppings against the wall. Levi would take her seat first, before Maxi would reach the table. She would open her menu wide-eyed, quickly flipping to the page with burgers. "So what are you, British or somethin'?" she asked, noticing his verbal cues. She didn't waste any time with silly small talk. She was going to ask questions and get the truth, after all, it was the only way he would get what he wanted out of her. If he wanted to know how she worked, she wanted to get any and every bit of info out of him before hand. If not, then she could easily toss him back to Kasey and let her deal with her boss. ~ 229 ~

He didn't even need to have her keep the door open for him. Knowing that it was a trashy place with a probable large amount of crime, he didn't care about reserving the use of his quirk. Letting it happen naturally, just like he always did, a little ice stopper kept the door open while he went inside, the stopper simply letting itself be pushed around once it did its purpose, the boy himself feeling incredibly awkward there. When he went out to eat, it was usually luxurious, though he did like the family diners. Though the family diners tended to be actually costly by themselves. Looking as Levi interacted with the hostess without orders with just two fingers proved to him that she really came to this place quite often, something he approved. It made everything easier.
Staring at some of the patrons and even the hostess as they inevitably looked at him thanks to the constant aura of cold, or as some impressionable, paranoid people would call "Aura of Undeath", he reached the seats, sitting right next to her. For some reason, he couldn't bring himself to be way too far from her. Sitting quietly, he heard her ask him if he was british. Yeah, she had a good ear, though it wasn't exactly hard. He never cared to hide his accent or his mannerisms at all, he liked to use them. "Yah. British." He confirmed her assumption, giving her a little thumbs up and a smile, basically congratulating her good intuitism. He wouldn't ask if she was Japanese, it was clear to him. For reasons unkown, he just.. knew she was Japanese. Well, he guessed. "Parents were born in Great Britain, from Grandparents, Great-Grandparents and so on. For a long, long time, my family has been successful. The generation of my parents are successful lawyers." He didn't exactly feel like asking her about her past. Why should he ask about her past, he didn't care about it, honestly. He was always a man about the "now" and the "what's coming". What's coming was that he was going to do his damn best to make her his.

The aura around him was enough to keep her enticed to try and keep him on a leash. It was like having the sun at your fingertips, to always have it when you were cold, only in her case, she wanted the cold. She could hear the door hit the ice, or rather the ice hit the door to stop it. As they made their way to the table, rather than sit across, he decided to sit next to her. Maybe it had worked better than she had planned. Did she need to tone it down? She flipped through the menu, making a mental checklist of what she wanted. She wanted a milkshake, but with how he was, maybe she would have to deal with something else. Maybe a hot chocolate, and knowing him, it would be a milkshake anyways. Plus it was cheaper, she could save money! She looked at her options, landing on burgers and other warm foods. Sushi and fish were out of the question, eating that cold would not be fun at all. He would answer her question, only to give her a thumbs up while she continued to find options. Having him around changed her options. Sitting on the inside meant food had to pass him to get to her. Maybe she needed to move to the outside so she could at least have her hot food, warm, and her warm drinks cold, and not frozen. "I figured, you seemed like a foreigner too." Too. As if she was agreeing with the idea of not being from Japan. She didn't entirely know the truth about herself either, but she knew the way Seki treated each of them. He was not one to ever let a culture die out. With at knowledge alone, she knew where she was from. She would turn to face him, making her decision. He would talk about his family and whatnot, and she was thinking only about her food. She would lean towards him, only to get in close once more, but this time to crawl over him to get to the outside seat. "Move, Milkshakes." she would tell him, "I want the outside." and she would crawl over his lap to get to that seat. She wanted a burger, and for once, she wanted it warm. ~ 386 ~

It would have been a simple interaction were it not for the fact she said "too". So she was not from here after all, though where else could she be from!? In today's world, one could come from nearly literally everywhere, she could be the daughter of immigrants from anywhere at all, she could be from everywhere! Her skin complexion, her hair, her mannerisms. He couldn't pinpoint it to anywhere. Scandinavia could have given her this extreme paleness, though the attitude was off. He didn't know anymore and, for now, he really didn't care. Instead, he just looked at her and nodded, trying to look his best the entire time.
Now, she wanted to get to the other seat, the seat on the outside. Must be a girl thing to want to be there, guys were always in the "inside" part when he watched movies. Thinking well and hard about it, he nodded and helped her get over him by sneakily getting his hands on her thighs, helping her go over him. Did he really need to get his hands on her thighs? Not exactly, though it did help quite a bit to speeding things up. Once she was sat there, he also now had to start thinking about what he should eat now. Rubbing his chin while pondering, he decided to go for something hot. He'd eat it quickly, so it was alright. "Alright, I know what to get." Basically, he was going to get himself the biggest, meatiest burger possible and a cold soda.

She turned to him after she was situated in her place. Being closer she could feel more of the aura around him. Perhaps to others it was unpleasant, but she enjoyed every moment of it. She had left her menu where she was previously, but she had figured it all out. "I think I will get a hot chocolate and the double stacked bacon cheese burger with swiss." she would say, turning to look at him. He faced his own face, wondering what he was going to get. What could he eat with his own quirk around? Did he have a system? He must have. But how cold was he really? She would lean on the table, nearing his face, only to take in a deep breath through her nose. She smelled his aroma, trying to piece it all together. The more she learned from him, the more she would learn from others. Before she would pull away, her mouth would open, her breath turning to fog as the distance between them was almost nonexistant. Her tongue would unroll and fall out of her mouth, only to slide across his face like any excited dog when it found its owner after a long day. She would then quickly fall back to her seat, as if it had never happened. Her quirk would be unused for the moment. For now, her curiosity of the human popsicle was her focus. "Actually, I wan an oreo milkshake with whipped cream." she spoke, setting her hands on the table folding them awaiting a server to pass to them. Perhaps with his aura further from the edge, they would be much more approachable. ~ 278 ~

He looked at her and nodded, finding her choice actually quite tasty. Though interesting, it was a lot of burger to go around for someone of her stature. Maybe she also suffered the same he did with being hungry constantly thanks to his quirk. Rubbing his chin a little, he didn't even notice her while she got close to his face, smelling him. "Hmm.. I'll take the Double Stacked bacon cheese burger, a chicken wrap and a cold soda. ..Maybe.. maybe I'll get an extra burger if I'm still hungry by the end o--"
It was about right then he felt her cold breath on his face and, before he could even say a thing to react to how uncomfortably close she was to him, she actually licked him. Not even a small lick, it was a lick that could put puppies to shame. His entire face covered with warm, though quickly cooling saliva. His entire body reacted appropriately, his legs coming closer as he shivered from the excitement. Oh, she really was his type! Biting his underlip a little, he didn't say anything to her wanting the oreo milkshake. Instead, he got close to her and let his lips press against the side of her neck. Somehow, his lips were even colder than his damn skin. With a little wink, he went back to his spot, waiting for the woman working there, so he could actually order his food.

. . . And so, he had kissed her, a feeling that was new to her, but still something she did not ask for. She did not smile. She did not blush. She had felt nothing in that matter. All she knew what this boy, had now become her pet, and it was time for her to show him who had the leash. "Order for me." she would tell him. It was not a question, but an order. "Maybe if you're lucky I'll let you kiss me again, or maybe I'll cut off your lips." She said it, almost playfully. Almost sarcastically. She wasn't really going to hurt hi... right? But then again, was his blood cold? How did it flow? Was it cold as well? Could it be a milkshake? The questions ran in her mind. . . She looked around, trying to flag down a waitstaff to come over to them so they could get on with their day. THey had came there for what reason again? Right, to discuss her quirk and how it works. Perhaps she was getting out of hand. Maybe he deserved his answer. "You know, I can't see colors." she would say without warning, "I hate looking people in the eyes, I never know what color their eyes are." she would talk, only to stop. All the while her head turned left and right to try and catch the eyes of someone to come to them. But was her excuse enough for him to order for her? ~ 254 ~

From what he had gotten from her being that cold, a playful threat mixed with an order of her wanting him to order for her was vastly the best actual outcome for this. This meant that, for him, her stone-cold expression was actually a miracle that god laid out for him, since it clearly meant she wasn't that much against it. It was a win, no doubt about it. Simply put, when she threatened to cut off his lips, he couldn't help but chuckle, showing her a happy smile.
Now, she couldn't see colors? That was actually interesting, it made her quirk all the weirder to really guess. What quirk could make him feel insanely good and keep her colorblind at the same time? "Naw, it's ok. I'll order for us." He assured her while looking around to find the person taking orders. Once he found them, he quickly called them over, even getting up a little bit.
Speaking to someone he didn't know, he clearly was comfortable with it, not even feeling that self conscious about the cold they were feeling. Instead, he stayed casual about it, making the order for both himself and for Levi. Once done, he quickly sat down again and yawned, stretching out his body, even cracking his neck to let out that satisfying popping sound. With a pleasurable shiver and ragged breathing from the rush he felt, he turned over to her. "Please, tell me more about your quirk. I just can't guess it!" Maxi confessed, wondering if it was a quirk related to minds. Well, it probably was, though how did it work was.. clearly out of the range of his guessing.

She wasn't an expert on her quirk either, it wasn't until she was admitted to the school that she had time to read and guess how her quirk worked. Everything was a guess, but with it, she had at least a good guess. "It's kinda like hitting your nerves. she would try to explain, "But with chemicals." She may not have found the words to describe her powers, but she knew what it could do, the question she had, was how. "Basically, touching you, I connect my nerves to yours for that moment. That's why I can see colors when I touch people, with it, either it will release dopamine or something like cortisol. Basically I can make you feel good, or really bad." She wasn't sure why she explained it to him, she barely knew him outside of class. But even then she focused entirely on her studies. She barely knew anyone else's name. "A little more complex than I can shoot fire from my hands with my body heat, but I know how it effects quirkless people. To other users, it's a gamble. I could cause them to lose control, or give them control. It's research." She would say, thinking only of the food that would come their way. She would turn to him, a cold expression on her face, not even a smile would creep its way up. "You're my test subject." And only then, would a grin find its way on her face, stretching from cheek to cheek. ~ 252 ~

Oh, her quirk was actually much less just "mind" than some actual physicality to it! She connected the nerves and released the floodgates on different chemicals that control the brain's emotions. Though, it still didn't completely explain why connecting the nerves allowed her to see color like others. Would she go blind should she connect with a blind person? Will something change should she connect with another color blind person? If her nerves connect with the nerves of at least the head, will afflictions that trouble them also trouble her, like something simple.. a headache, perhaps. Maybe feel the pain some part of the head is feeling? After all, it's nerves sending warning signals to the brain.
So many questions that her explanation, though quite good enough, still left behind unanswered. Its complexity baffled him completely, so much so he actually felt even more interested in her and not even slightly creeped out or put off when she said she was his test subject. To be quite honest, if he kept getting more of those touches she gave him, he was game. Though her line about the fire from body heat felt strangely directed at him. "I still felt the sting of that simple quirk example. I'll let you know that my quirk is more complicated than that. I am a Mutant, by all definition. The cold is just me being endothermic and sucking up the heat into a special little organ attached to my heart, which disperses heat." He had never thought about it that much, though, should that little bit of his heart actually be damaged, not only would he lose his endothermic capabilities, but he'd also die by freezing. For reasons he'd quickly explain to her. "This little organ then uses my heart's pumps to spread the heat through my blood stream, strictly to keep my organs functioning. The heat is never enough to really get through much more than that. Hell, the heat my blood brings to more external places like my lips or my muscles when I flex them is quickly sucked back. Hence my lips being even colder than my skin, like you got to experience." All this and he had never even explained how the hell could he actually create ice and control it. Though, at this point, he assumed she was more than smart enough to figure it out herself. Thanks to the coldness, he makes ice out of the moisture of the air and, through a telepathic connection he creates with ice he himself creates, he controls it.
Breathing in deep after speaking so much, he just slouched on his chair a little, the lack of activity and hunger making him feel a little colder.. and slightly more rambunctious, though he could control it perfectly. He just hoped food wouldn't take too long to arrive.

Her quirk was far more complex than she could comprehend at her current level. There was so much involved. The only way she could understand how to use it, if not now it worked, was seeing how it effected others, and what actions had different results. She would not yet understand the complexity of her body using others as a catalyst, rather than a mirror for her own. She did not use their eyes, but instead received a trade of other little things with each exchange of reactions. But that would be far from her mind. All she knew, was she gave feelings, and in return she would get colors. Coldness was the absorption of heat. Heat was the dispersion of cold. In the core of his body, was warmth, leaving the rest of his freezing. Perhaps in the body of a flame user, she would find an equal ice. Or perhaps they would be cold emotionally. Perhaps they were the same who would beat their children for the sake of power. Perhaps quirks manifested with personalities. "Then with a quirk that uses your mind to take control of what you make," she would begin to tell him, "A quirk that alters your mind's chemistry could be quite dangerous, almost forcing you to cause a release, or a forced absorbsion of your heat."As she spoke, the waitress would arrive with both of their meals as well as drinks. She would leave as quietly as she arrived; Without a word. Was it the aura the boy caused? Or was it the aura the girl emitted? Which one of them made them more uneasy? ~ 273 ~

His quirk didn't really have many complexities hidden away from him. Even little weird details were already pretty well explained to him, though there were still some he couldn't really understand. Like the fact he can control his ice as if it were his own body, though he doesn't feel pain from them when they get destroyed. Little mysteries that really didn't matter that much to him, so he didn't think about it at all. Though, his relentless pursuit over knowledge might just lead him to want to know in any way. For now, what he had to eat was the burger and drink that was just placed in front of him.
Not even paying mind to the fact that the waitress left in what seemed like a hurry, he simply grabbed his burger and began nomming on it, to get a general taste. His eyes turned to her, his head nodding quietly in agreement to what she just assumed. She herself had seen it: her quirk affecting him out of nowhere made him release quite the wave of ice. If it were to happen again, he could contain it: the surprise was what really got to him.
Turning his eyes back to the food, he held the burger with both hands, eating at a pace that most people would find either difficult or even sickening, holding his drink with an ice ring that carried it around and even kept it cold, sipping on it every second bite. He didn't talk much while eating: hell, he didn't talk at all. He chose to simply enjoy her presence like that, even scuttling a little closer to her so he could feel comfortable: having someone he liked eating next to him simply felt natural.

Disgusting. Food dripping. A messy face. Barely stopping to breathe. That was how she was described eating with her sister. She didn't care how the food got in her body, as long as none of it was wasted. After all, even the garbage of her meal could be consumed. That was the benefit of having a human garbage disposal as your sibling. There was nothing she wouldn't eat, even the toothpicks were part of her meal. As soon as the food arrived, Levi took her milk shake and opened the straw. She would bury it into the cream, only to drink nearly half of it immediately. She would close her eyes from the rapid consumption of the cold drink giving her a brain freeze. She would then take the burger and begin to bite and swallow it, sometimes forgetting to chew. She would only put more force to get the meal in her belly, continuing until half of her burger was scarfed down. She would set it back down, only to reach and take up the fries, all the while reaching again to sip her drink. She would glance over every few moments from this point to find what her companion was up to. He had moved closer, something she really didn't notice until now. Although she knew it was getting colder around her. Without much thought, she moved a bit closer to him, giving just enough room for the both of them to move around their arms to eat without bumping into each other. "He will be my toy." she thought to myself, ". . . But that doesn't mean I can't enjoy my time with him." And she would happily continue to finish her meal. ~ 287 ~
