Finally, school had ended for the day. An unusually tiring day for Maximilian, not because it was incredibly hot outside, not because Yoru was being a cunt again, not because maths was still a subject invented by the greeks just to make people's lives a nightmare. None of that, really, he was already used to it, to be quite honest. What was increasingly getting to him were the incredibly weird occurrences that had befallen upon him ever since he met that weird Bone-Shooting janitor. Not an exact connection, but it was the best landmark in his life he could connect it to.
Now, as he was walking towards his favorite tree to lay on, as he was giving everyone around him a moment of reprieve from the heat simply thanks to his presenace, he began trying to connect the dots, trying to connect all the occurrences to see if they had any meaning. Where should he start and where should he end? Any reasoning, any motive!? He couldn't figure it out! As he scaled the tree by simply walking up the trunk, his body not falling thanks to his ice keeping him stable, he laid down on a thick branch, bits of ice forming on the branch to keep him steady and comfortable.
For now, he should start organizing his thoughts and the timeline. It all begun in the library. Around 10 AM, when he had some time between classes, all he was doing was just studying the hellish subject that is algebra, as always, and, as always, fallen asleep midway, as you do. There he was, a cold battery with his head laid down the table of the library, snoozing off during the hot day while thinking everything would be fine, until it happened..

. . . She watched, as she always did. Only this time with more interest. She reached into her bag to open a tupperare container. She would pull out three water ballons and set them on the ground. She looked around to see if anyone had noticed her, and thankfully none did. At least, no one that cared enough to watch further. She would kick them with the sides of her shoe, rolling them over to the boy.
She wanted to see it happen again. It was far too interesting to pass up. Surely they would freeze up again, or pop at his feet. Either would be enjoyable. She would turn back to her books, burying her nose in studies, all the while watching from the sides of her eyes . . . _____________________________________________ . . . She walked out of the school, back on her routine. She put on her black coat, and wore the hood over her face. She held her books in front of her chest and held them close. She wore the same dirty black sneakers she always wore. Her face pale, for either the make-up, or or lack of sunlight, with lipstick as dark as her soul. She had taken the long way to leave school before going home. She wasn't in a rush this time. As long as she got home, he wouldn't care. He was busy anyways, with her. She could take her time, for at least an hour. But did she have anything else to do? It was then that she watched someone familiar make his way to a tree, only to climb up and perch on it, like a lazy squirrel. "Well, I guess today is the day." she thought to herself. And she would take her time going home, making a detour to do some birdwatching.~ 306 ~

Maxi, still soundly sleeping, was completely unaware of his surroundings. His temperature when sleeping always dropped, which made his heat draining slower, though it'd always go to negative whenever he stood still for too long. Eventually, conveniently around the time that she rolled the water balloons over to him, the temperature around him was clearly in the negative digits. As they rolled closer and closer, they froze faster and faster. By the point that they reached his feet, the rubber of the balloons had been ripped open by their frozen insides, just as she expected. The sound of ice rolling on the ground naturally alerted the young boy, his head shooting up from his desk, a string of clear saliva connecting the math book with his lips, his tired eyes looking everywhere, then down at the ground. Ice where it shouldn't be.. weird. He then looked at people around him. Some students who had gotten further from him, some people who didn't care and a girl that was hard focused on her books. She was familiar. Yes.. yes! She was a girl from his class that never really spoke to anyone. Maybe he should talk to her sometime. _____________________________________________ It all started there indeed, he thought. It started at the library so, in reality, the person responsible for all these weird occurrences had to be someone who also comes to the school. That didn't help him much, since all accidents had been at the school. He'd have to think about more occurrences if he were to come to understand what was happening and, hopefully, actually figure out who was doing this. He wasn't exactly mad, he was just confused.
Sighing, he closed his eyes as he enjoyed the warm air slowly being absorbed into his heart, low sighs coming from him every so often, the air around him slowly becoming frigid. Thankfully, he could stay there for a long while. Today was a really hot day. Without a worry inhis heart that things would get too cold even for him, he remembered the time when he was at class, with his head supported only by his hand, while he stared out the window without much attention being paid to, of course, the math teacher. Then another weird thing happened..

. . . and so she checked out another book. After all, that was what you did in a library. She was studying how the brain operates, as well as the chemicals that worked inside of the average body. Most of the texts she had were about normal quirkless people, she would have to guess and try her new knowledge on people with quirks, and who knows, maybe she could find out the source of how quirks worked, and maybe even learn how to silence quirks. But that would be for another day, for now she would have to learn what she could use to her own advantage in the normal brain, or body at least.
She would return to her table and set her new book beside the other towers of books. She was thirsty. She would sigh only to get up and to get a drink of water. There was cups on the other side of the library right? She would go there. . .
Wait, why was it cold all of a sudden? _____________________________________________ She stood there, watching him either close his eyes, or sleep. It was creepy on the outlook of things, but she had always observed her classmates, toying with them, seeing how their quirks operated. She refused to use her quirk unless she needed to. She believed it was to be used at Seki's place only, there was no sense wasting her power, besides just like anyone else, they could get addicted. She didn't want anyone to come to her often, much less a crowd or a whole class. But she smiled to herself, thinking of the time she brought ice cubes to class. Often he seemed to rest, and it made him the perfect suspect. She had set almost a dozen cubes all around him. She was careful not to touch him, to both not wake him nor activate her own quirk. And she would return back to her studies, only to observe that they would never melt. Ever. ~ 336 ~

And he would have never really noticed the ice cubes were it not for a classmate of his, who happened to be sitting close, warning him of the fact that there were ice cubes all around him. Such a thing was a clear embarrasment for Maxi, who was getting worried his quirk was getting unruly and uncontrollable again like old times, well, at least until he noticed he couldn't control the ice cubes. It wasn't his ice, someone planted it. His face shifted to show clear displeasure, expecting someone to laugh at him by now, though nothing. Did someone just drop ice cubes and was too embarrassed to pick them up? That was way too convenient. Suspicious, to say the least. Sighing, he got up and easily gathered all of the ice cubes, holding them firmly on his hands, not really having problems with them slipping off: they didn't melt when touching his skin. Walking over to the trash can to dump them, he accidentally grazed against Levi, his skin being even colder than the area around him. It showed that he did not notice that he grazed into her, since he just dumped the ice, returned to his seat and stayed alert for the rest of class. _____________________________________________ Now what could he figure out by remembering this situation in class? Assuming that both of them were actually connected, that meant that the perpetrator was a silent one, which allowed him to cut off several people already. A huge boon to him, so much so that a huge smile appeared on his face while laying down on the tree. He was getting somewhere, he could feel it within his grasp, just a little more thinking..
What else could he remember? Thinking well and hard about it, light simply shone within Maxi's head as he remembered another of those weird occurrences. Alright, how did it go again? Yes, yes. He was just in a bathroom, washing his face with water that insisted on freezing whenever coming into contact with his face when he was just trying to get all the morning fuzzyness off of him. It was already quite displeasing in there though, when he was finally done with that grueling task and came out of the bathroom, things took a turn to the weird.

She would get to the little machine to fill her cup of water. She yawned, far too tired to think about what else she could do on her break. She didn't eat that much, only snacking here and there. She felt as if it was healthier than starving herself waiting for her next big meal. Plus, having her supply of food always kept her awake and at her best at all times. It wasn't like food wasn't that hard to get either, she could head to the cafeteria or ask her big sister for some snacks. hell, sometimes she even waited outside of class.
She would take her walk back to her seat, only to pass by the same boy. She was far too tired to even mess with him today. She would lift her cup to her lips to drink her water... only to find it had frozen solid._____________________________________________ Chocolate milk. It was probably one of her more favored dairy products. She had three glasses, two held in her right hand, on top of her palm, while her left would hold the other. She remembered that day pretty well. She was busy trying to balance them all, only to almost walk into Maxi. She would turn, trying to balance all of her drinks and to steer clear of him. She had almost dropped and spilled her drinks, if it wasn't for the fact they all became chilled. . . "Hey milkshake!" she would call out to him. She stood under the tree, feeling the reach of his quirk, almost embracing it. "Did they say we had a mission soon?" she would say, actually forgetting if they had a task outside of their normal learning. She didn't want to be under prepared. She wanted to make sure she studied the correct way, and planned everything down to the moment. ~ 310 ~

Almost by instinct, the moment he saw the girl who almost ran into him turn around and start to drop the drinks, he reacted with remarkable reaction time, clearly quicker than the usual human. With crafty use of his ice powers, he forced the chocolate milk and the cups in their entirety to float with his mind, since he had control over ice he created, even if it wasn't exactly water or moisture in the air. Sighing with relief, he got everything back to her hands safely, though the chocolate milk had become much denser, almost frozen. Milkshake, essentially. " Ay, sorry 'bout that, love."With that, he quickly left off to go back to what he was doing prior, though he did not remember exactly what it was. Was he going back to a friend, or going back to his dorm? Was he off to go buy ice cream as usual? He couldn't really remember, though it didn't really relate to the story that much. _____________________________________________Now that he thought about it, that actually didn't help at all. It wasn't anything deliberate or suspicious, it was actually just a run-in with the quiet girl whose name he still didn't know. Not exactly back at square one, though he definitely wasted some time remembering that story. Weird occurrence and nothing else.
Sighing with clear dissapointment, his eyes shot open when he was called by a nickname that he recognized. Either it was a massive coincidence or god above really wanted him to talk to this girl more, since the one he was thinking about just appeared. Down there, asking him if they had a mission soon. He wouldn't exactly define it as a mission, though. He should probably explain that so, to speak to her properly, he jumped off of the tree, landing nicely on the ground and walking over to her. Taller tahn her, though not dwarfing her by any means. Just a few centimetres taller. Aside from that, the cold aura she previously felt when just standing within the reach of his quirk got considerably stronger, at least the closer she was to him. "Ayo, how you doing? I don't think it was a mission, but a rescue exercise of sorts. Don't tell me you forgot." He said jokingly, even tilting his head with a little smirk to show that he was joking about. To build a friendship with a relatively new person, it was best to be as friendly as possible.
This girl, though, had always struck him as different. He felt like he had seen her close to him several times, though never directly interacting with him. It wasn't much to accuse her on, though several times did he feel deliberately accompanied, just to see her pass by..

"Of course not. I was checking when it was, so I can prepare." She forgot. She had completely forgotten everything about that mission, only that it was happening soon. How soon? It was anyone's guess. He was a strange sort. But she had remembered everything her sister had told her. It was anyone's guess how it would go. He was just a walking refrigerator, and a freezer if she got close enough. She would bring all kinds of strange snacks and foods to school, only to pass by him every so often to make sure none of her food spoiled. She certain gambled with it often however, often turning them into bricks that would never thaw, but that's where she could just give it to Kasey. At least her quirk was helpful in a way. "Anyways," Levi would begin again, bringing her right hand off of her books to drag one of her fingers to the side of her face to push some of her hair behind her ear, leaving her hood on her head. She would return it back to holding her pages. "Do you sleep in this tree often?" she asked, speaking with almost no emotion. She had no reason to really express anything of the sort. To her, he was just another student that had been at her mercy for her entertainment. They were all there for her entertainment. ~ 232 ~

Of course someone as focused on her studies wouldn't forget it, silly of him to even think that. He didn't exactly know when it was, to be quite honest, since no one had said anything about when, just the word "soon". "Soon" wasn't exact enough for him, though at least he knew he wouldn't have to wait an eternity for it. Maybe he should ask Rin himself about the exact date, that would certainly help.
Either way, to focus on the girl in front of him. Taking a proper look at her, she definitely was yet another glorious cutie of the school, the most striking things about her being her generally cold attitude and incredibly pale skin which he couldn't really tell if it was makeup or lack of sunlight. Maybe it was just a mutation from her quirk, much how his golden, sharp eyes are a mutation that came with the jumbled up mess that was his quirk sometimes. It wasn't even anything that made his eyes function differently, it was just aesthetic. Genes can be so weird sometimes.
Now, with a quite light blush from looking at her brush that beautiful deep purple hair behind her ear, he looked up into the tree, still with the makeshift ice modifications to help him stay comfortable while laying there for a second, just before looking back into her eyes with his own. For some reason, it felt like having sharp eyes like those helped him stare directly at people without any anxiety on him. "Sometimes, yeah. Could say it's my favorite tree. I climb it and nap whenever I have to think about something. Also an awesome place to eat ice cream on." He almost licked his lips when thinking about the simple concept of ice cream and how much he could go for a whole bucket of it right now. Maybe when he got back to his dorm room, he had to be patient with these sorts of things.
What other thing did he have to be patient with? Ah yes, introductions. The ones he still hadn't shared with her, which meant that they didn't even know each other's names. To be cordial and educated, he chose to introduce himself first, smiling warmly to her. "I'm Maximilian Kane, a pleasure to meet you. You are?" He asked her with as friendly a tone as he could, desperately holding back his urges to do something perverted like take a picture of her out of the blue or blatantly stare at her chest. He had more important thoughts to focus on.
Like the fact that, for a while, every time he saw her, she seemed to have some sort of food on her. Probably a coincidence.

The smarter option for anything was to find the class president, but even so, they attended the same classes. It was only their duty to work harder than the rest of them, and to also guide them. It was a position with honor to lead the class in a way a hero should. But not all heroes shined in the light. Some, stood out in the darkness. He was strange, Kasey had that much right, but he seemed to eye her down, observing and checking her out. Pitiful. At least this time it wasn't an old man. At least he had a chance, provided she even gave him one. He would look up at the tree, as if he had to check what they were going to talk about. Well, at least he wasn't eating a shoe. Could always be stranger. He would simply rest there it seemed and enjoy his own frozen treats. Maybe if she had a power so simple like his, she could enjoy it with ease. Instead she was stuck being an addiction to others, which wasn't a bad thing. Soon, the world would be addicted to her. With her quirk, she could puppet her victims, making villains bend to her wish. She could make any punishment more or less painful, or a reward better or short lived. She had the ultimate quirk, she was sure of it. "Leviathan. . . " she replied, never put in a situation where she had to pull a surname out of thin air. Though, the one on her mind wasn't so wrong. ". . . Setsuna. I thought you would know my name by now," she paused, trying to remember passing conversations. He didn't go by his first name did he? No, he had a nickname. They all did, Maxi. she would finish her sentence and her thought. "Just call me Levi. No reason to be formal."She adjusted her books, lifting them up, before her, hiding her chest behind them. It wasn't out of any suspicion, but out of habit. "Anyways, I was gonna go home Milkshakes." she would say. Was she ending her own conversation? No. She didn't want to do that. She wanted to stay. Maybe, she could invite him. Yeah, that seemed like a good idea. "Have you eaten yet?" she would ask. Perfect. It would go according to plan. ~ 395 ~

Leviathan was clearly a powerful name, one maybe deliberately given for this effect. It did strike him hard, a surprise to hear such a name come from her, then the suspiciously hesitant surname of Setsuna. Like she had to think up of it on the spot. That or there was some bad history behind that name. Whatever it was, he didn't know, though he actually felt inclined to know. She interested him, she interested him a lot, actually. She preferred to be called Levi, a cute nickname for Leviathan, though simple. Can't complain, his nickname is Maxi. Or in her case, Milkshake. He wouldn't mind it that much.
Now he felt a little embarrased with her saying that he thought he'd know her name by now, making him feel like he hadn't even cared enough about other people. His blush became more pronounced as he raised his right hand to rub the back of his head, sighing a little as he looked at her with lowered shoulders. "You don't really speak to anyone, so I never really got to know your name. Usually I just learn the names by people talking to each other, get what I mean?" Excuses excuses, though it was the truth. He really just used that strategy so he'd know the names of people he'd talk to right away. She was different though, no one really talked to her. Why wouldn't they escaped him, she was definitely gorgeous. "But yeah, I should have known. Sorry, love." He chuckled a little, deciding to own up to his faults like a man, hoping to not get her angry by sayingshe really didn't speak to anyone. Hopefully, she was aware of that herself.
Now, a much better subject, specially to a hungry stomach like the one he had. Thinking about food made him drool a little bit, the drop that escaped his mouth freezing the moment it left his lips, falling on the ground. Noticing he was basically drooling now, he flushed up a complete red, cleaning his mouth. "O-Oh dear, excuse me. Yeah, I haven't eaten yet and I am.. quite hungry." He explained himself, trying to use his quirk to slowly quiet down his blush. He really wasn't ready to show such weakness to a girl, specially one he was interested in.

Love. He said it often, in place of what? Where an honorific would have gone? A name? There wasn't any reason for her to question it. Many of the students weren't native to Japan, Leviathan wasn't. There was no reason to suspect she was the only one. She was just one of many who had came here to learn how to better themselves to a world of heroes and villains. It was their life now. He brought up the fact she kept to herself. It was true. She didn't reach out to anyone unless she needed to. To those she partnered with, she didn't even use her quirk unless it was absolutely needed and even in those moments people couldn't understand what was happening. But that wasn't important. She had never grouped with Maxi, at least not in her memory. She didn't really know how anyone's quirk operated aside from bits and pieces from what others had said in passing. "We should get some food then." She would take a step towards him, loosening her grip on her books, her lips pursed as she would near. "There's a really good place by my house." It would almost be daring to allow herself to kiss such a person. Her arms would unfold and push towards him . . . her books. "Here, carry them, I'll lead the way." and she would throw her burden to her male companion, her touch would graze him for a moment, a second . . . she had slipped. And soon it would take effect. He would feel the rush, the joy, the drug, contentment, for just a moment. It would fade soon after. He would be the first she had begun to weave her web around. She would catch her prey. She would soon make sure he was someone who was addicted. ~ 307 ~

The term "love" was just something he sometimes said whenever he was being casual with a girl. A little thing that remained on him even after he left Britain, a term he really didn't feel like he had to get rid of it. Hell, in fact, he chose to stay with it, since there was the occasional girl who either didn't mind it or, by an offchance, actually find it seductive. It was barely ever a bad thing for him and, even when it was, the case was lost anyway. Saying "love" wouldn't really save him anyway. In short, just using "love" as a way to refer to a girl was nothing but an advantage.
Now, after she actually invited him to come eat with her to a place she knew, a date he wasn't expecting not only from a person in general, much less someone who was just speaking to him for the first time, he was already about to kiss her! --Or not. Fuck. Was she intentionally teasingg him? Was she actually that good at it she made it so seamless? He hoped to god she wasn't that good at teasing, he was incredibly impatient when it came to that sort of thing. Either way, now holding her books, he smiled and nodded, following her.
Then, she touched him, by a simple "accident". The overhelming feeling shot through his entire body, his incredibly sensitive system, which had never had any bit of contact with substances went into overload. So went his quirk. A powerful ice sheet spread through the ground, along with a much, MUCH colder atmosphere for just a second, before he recovered, clearly dizzy. "JESUS! W-What kind of quirk do you have..?" He asked as his brain was incapable of getting exalted or angry at her for possibly using her quirk on him. Why couldn't he..? His brain just seemed to desire for more satisfaction. Rubbing his ace with one of his arms, he simply controlled the ice by breaking it against each other, leaving the pieces spread to melt under the sun as he left with her.
He was falling into her web and he didn't even know.

Did someone leave the freezer open? No, really? He didn't? Did he? That's nasty. Levi had dealt with a lot more horny people in her life than she probably should have. She knew that the "loveshack" her father owned was something short of a brothel. She knew that. She knew her quirk heightened senses to give them all a higher high and them wanting to come back for more. Some didn't even use their services, they just wanted to rent a room for themselves. Levi had only really used her powers there, all behind a mask, like all of the staff there. They weren't for sale, and thus they did not show anything to appeal to anyone that wasn't going to pay. She knew that. She always knew that. But was it premature? She felt the rush, she saw all of the colors, for just a few seconds. She had let it slip, she had released what was built inside of her. For a moment, just a moment, and that much had occurred? Yes. Her power truly was the ultimate in terms of everything. She could bend anyone to her will, forcing them to release or fail. She thought of only one place where she would fail on her own, but as long as she had someone to puppet, failure would not be part of her diet. "I'll tell you if you pay for lunch." she would say to him. He would be the first one to have strings attached.~ 250 ~

He didn't know what had truly happened to him, his quirk having acted like it released stored up energy to leave him completely dazed and slightly exhausted from such an outburst of power, his mind feeling quite dizzy. Her quirk, whatever it was, could really unlock a lot of things on him with just a simple touch and, deep down, he really wanted to know. To understand and, more importantly, to feel it again. Maximilian almost felt like he needed it again, though he didn't know why. Maybe it just felt good to him.
Now, she had one simple condition for him. All he had to do to get her to explain everything to him was actually quite simple so, with a little shaky smile that slowly recovered its composition, he nodded and carried her books, following her quietly. He was unaware of her plans to him. He was so sorely unaware of all the strings attached to their new friendship. Instead, he followed, almost like a dog following something he was starting to like without much a reason to really follow.
In the way to get food, Maximilian began considering what place were they getting ever closer to. Nothing really suspicious, though he didn't exactly know where they were. A completely new place, which meant that she didn't live in the dorms. That was to assume, though. Looking at Levi, he hesitated a bit to ask, though he figured that he should really ask her. "Erm.. what are we actually gonna go eat?" He asked, biting his underlip a bit when he got to actually stare at such a perfect rear like hers. God had truly blessed the girls at U.A. God had truly blessed his eyes for a chance to see something like that.
