A kihabara was not a place that Angel visited often unless she was doing hero work considering how busy and bustling it was, but since her Auntie Rose had begun releasing Merch of her niece's hero persona the Angel of Mercy including T-shirts with her logo on it which she was currently wearing, sneakers and leather boots with the same logo, but in the various pride flag colors and even little plushies of her in her hero suit Angel decided that she best check it out if not only to see how well her merch was doing overall! It was about 5 P.M. in the evening, and so classes were done for the day! The air was cold and snow frosted the ground. Despite this once Angel was appropriately dressed and was in the clear she took to the skies at top speed toward the Anime and Manga capital of the world. As she flew a funny thought crossed her mind. Did Curved Lightning, Red Horn have any official merch she could buy for her New Oasis office? If they did Angel would try and pick something up for sure! It would take about 20 minutes for Angel to reach her destination; which was lit up by a Neon sign reading "The Hero Emporium" in bright purple. Once she spotted it from the air Angel quickly scanned for a nearby alley where she would fly over, slide her wings into her trench coat allowing herself to fall into the alley gracefully before stepping out with her hands in her coat pockets, as her coat was open revealing her own hero logo on her black t-shirt. Once she left the alley she checked her pockets just to make sure she had her wallet and phone. Once she knew that she hadn't forgotten them she quickly walked into the store, and was quickly blasted with rather obnoxious K-pop sounding music. It had nothing going on of value compared to the music her friend Jasmine produced that was for sure. As she walked through the isle's a couple of the clerks spotted her, and after rushing to the "Junior hero" section came back holding one of her plushies while blushing excitedly. "Is this you!? Are you really the Angel of Mercy!? I saw you on television so many times!"Angel just gently covered the young otaku boy's mouth with her palm and nodded while holding her index finger of her other hand to her lips. "I am. If you let me get my shopping done in peace, and you buy some of my merch I'll sign it for you on my way out. Deal?"Angel herself then walked over to the junior/ young heroes section where she spotted her leather boots of her logo in various pride flag colors, her plushies, and her t-shirts with once again her logo in it's normal color as well as Various pride flag colors in various sizes. Despite the merch being of her Angel owned very little of it. All she owned was the t-shirt she was wearing as well as a plushy that one of the visiting kids at New Oasis had bought her as a present for her office. Angel decided to remedy this by picking out a dark blue t-shirt in Miyami's size with her fiancé's logo in the Lesbian pride flag colors. Angel then picked out one for herself of the same design, but in a black base color. Once that was done she walked over to the pro-hero section and spotted a figurine of Red Horn with her massive arms flexed as she crushed a boulder under foot. Seeing this Angel knew she had to have it and so she quickly plucked it off the shelf. Maybe if she got lucky she could get Red Horn to sign the box. Once Angel got to the check out Angel spotted the same Male Otaku worker who had changed from his work shirt into one of Angel's logo shirt in it's normal color causing a small playful sigh from the girl. She quickly paid for the items she wanted, and as promised signed her hero name right under the logo on the man's shirt before turning toward the door. As she turned to walk out however she heard what sounded like the loud screeching of tires on the slick roads which lead her to drop her items carefully on the counter. "I'll be right back for those!"Angel then rushed out the door hoping beyond hope she wasn't to late what she feared was about to happen.

Casper probably shouldn't keep going out of his way to Akihabara after school but the temptation was always too great for him to resist. At the end of the day he just, objectively, should stay away from the place, a pull in his chest telling him he should back up a few steps and head the other way whenever he rounded the corner but... come on what was a few hundred yen just for a poster? he could find some space on the wall for another one if he reeeeeally tried right? It wasn't like he was saving the space for anything and he could just view it as a huge tetris puzle trying to find space when he got home. Y-yeah that sounded legit enough.
But, as he got close to the hero emporium, he stood at the edge of the road clutching his phone tight to his chest. He could turn around now and, if he booked it, probably still make the first train back home from the nearest station. That... was probably the right move. He'd been spending a lot of his money on hero merch at this point and it was starting to border on overkill. He should save at least some of it, maybe plan to take one of those pre-UA classes that had been popping up? Some looked like outright scams but he'd managed to track down a few that seemed legit...
Ah who was he kidding though, it's not like he was actually gonna get into UA. He was pretty cowardly and he couldn't even reliably use his quirk without overdoing it. Still, he shouldn't be spending ALL his money on merch like this so the best move would probably be to turn around... but his friend said they were having a sale on Serperior merch and while he wasn't one of the heroes he most favored he still liked to collect what he could and he was one of the heroes who helped calm RedHorn down during the 'rage' incident she had last year.
By this point he was literally walking in circles, convincing himself to head for the train before turning on his heels and trying to push himself towards the store, back and forth back and forth, the lights had changed a few times by now, but finally, he managed to give into his cravings for some more hero merch and burst across the road heading for the store. The lights were still in his favor, but just barely.
A car down the street hadn't been expecting anyone to make a last dart for it, not cutting the lights persay but definitely a little too eager, and seeing the last minute sprinter across the road, they hit the brakes far too hard. Rain earlier in the day had left the roads a little slick, and before Casper could fully process what was happening, a car was heading his way that didn't show any signs of stopping. Instinct kicked in, perhaps the wrong ones, and he ducked low with a cry of alarm, arms wrapped around his head, a blue aura coating his body as he just prayed hard that the car would miss him somehow.

A s Angel headed outside she saw instantly what was about to happen. A young goth looking boy who was pacing back and forth across the street as a car lost its grip on the road because of how slick the roads were! Despite knowing she wasn't allowed to use her powers out in the open Angel also knew she couldn't allow the young boy to be crushed, and so in a blur of speed that resembled a blur of black & pink motion the young hero quickly crossed the road and got in front of the young boy who was trying to protect himself with some kind of aura hoping to not be crushed. She just looked back at him, looked back at the approaching vehicle and held out her right arm, and braced herself allowing the vehicle to slam into her causing a massive dent into the side of it but keeping it from crushing the young boy. Once the boy was safe Angel looked down at him with a her trademark grin. "It's alright kiddo. You're safe now! The Angel of Mercy has come to the rescue."Once Angel said this she would slide her wings through the wing holes of her trench coat and spread them wide before resting them flat against her back. She would then use her super strength to lightly push the car a bit farther away so that the young boy could get up safely. She then would walk up to the car, reach down under where she had made the dent with her palm, and used her strength to pop the dent out of the frame with a smile before moving over the driver side door opening it up to see a young male driver not much older then herself behind the wheel breathing heavily in a panic state. Without a word she would reach over and unbuckle him before scooping him up to get him out of the car, and standing him up as he tried to catch his breath with tears in his eyes. Angel would then hold out her finger in front of his face for his eyes to follow to check for any kind of concussion, but seeing his eyes follow her finger perfectly deduced that no injury had occured. "I'm so sorry! I..I just got my license, and have never driven on such slick roads before! I lost control for just a second, and I panicked! Is.. is the boy alright?""Angel would just nod as she gave the slightly older boy a gentle hug before pointing toward the gothic looking boy that reminded her a little of her younger adopted brother Leo. "He's a little shaken, but i'll take care of him alright? I fixed the dent I made in your car, so just from now on try and take it easy on the gas when the roads are wet alright? Keep in mind that Akihabara is a busy place so the streets are often busy. We gotta be responsible after all."The older boy would take a few deep breaths before nodding to Angel, and giving the younger boy an apologetic look before getting back into his car before driving off. Once the driver was safely on his way Angel quickly headed back over to the younger boy, and knelt down to his level lightly placing her hand on his shoulder giving him a reassuring smile. "What about you kiddo? Are you alright? That must have been super scary for you. What were you doing in the middle of the road anyway, oh and what was that aura you had around you? I'm guessing a quirk of some kind?"Angel as she asked these questions would hold up her finger like she did with the older boy with a smile as she moved it in front of his eyes from side to side. "Follow my finger with your eyes without moving your head please. Do you feel faint? Do you need me to fly you to the hospital?"

When Casper heard a loud crashing sound, he just expected the pain to come. He felt like he was one of those infinite moments. The sound somehow managing to hit his ears first and the pain would follow soon, spreading up his side and along his chest and into his other arm, likely sending him flying and crashing along the tarmac like a skipping stone thrown across water. His blue aura intensified and though it took him a moment, he slowly started to realize the harsh sound of warping metal wasn’t the car impacting him, but instead the work of a young heroine who’d put herself between him and the car. He looked up at her from his arms, still coiled around his head, locked up as the fear still struck his body.
He didn’t expect to be saved by a hero more than once in his life, but he supposed that was the age they were living in now huh?
“T-thank you…?” He didn’t mean it to sound like a question but he was still very much on edge and very confused, his brain trying to catch up with the events around him. The moment he tried to uncoil his legs wobbled beneath him and he had to catch himself with his hands. Angel was working on the driver and Casper was just working on finding his feet, still holding a cold sweat as his heart tried to calm down, his blue aura having long since faded, and trying to ease his goosebumps by rubbing up and down his arms as he stood straight, a slight shake still in his stance all the while.
Shaken was putting it a little mildly, but the paleness had overtaken his face and he was at least starting to regain a sense of his surroundings. “T-the light t-turned midway… I-I just thought I could make it if I ran…” He had been halfway through the crossing when the lights turned, and mid run he hadn’t expected such a risk but… well, he’d definitely not waste times at the lights next time.
He followed her finger, his face pale, and he did feel a bit feint, but he knew from panic attacks in the past to know when he was recovering, taking long deep breaths to settle himself. “I-I’m fine…” He missed the question about his quirk, maybe a little on purpse. He wasn’t proud enough of it to talk about it too readily.
“I-I’m sorry… did you say you were a hero or something Miss…?”

A s Angel gently, quickly yet thuroughly checked over the young boy to make sure that he didn't sustain any physical injuries once she saw that he was able to follow her finger she listened silently as the young frightened boy explained that the light turned midway on him, and that he thought he could make it if he ran. This caused Angel to chuckle slightly as she lightly took his left wrist in her hand gently, and used the other to check his pulse. The poor kid was in absolute shock! It was clear as day on the young man's face. Once she checked his pulse she let his wrist go, and just smiled softly at him. He wasn't physically injured, but his anxiety was through the roof. If she didn't get him to calm down soon he would probably pass out. "You seem to be physically unharmed, but next time I would wait for a complete light change cycle so that you know that cars aren't coming. The weather has made the roads slick so you need to be extra careful okay? Can you do me a small favor, and try and take some deep slow breaths? In through your nose, and out through your mouth okay? It will help calm you down, and slow your heart rate."As he told her that he was fine, and then asked if she was a hero Angel nodded with her large trademark grin. Though instead of standing tall and triumphant she chose to stay down at the younger boy's level out of respect as she gave him a thumbs up to go with her trademark grin. "I am indeed! I'm a third year at U.A. high school. I'm about to graduate in fact. My hero name is the "Angel of Mercy"! I just happened to be in the area. I was shopping at that collectables shop across the street for some hero merch! They just added a junior heroes section because U.A. is about to have its very first graduating class, and a bunch of us already have our own merch be it as heroes or because of our side jobs."Angel would then motion to the store she came from, and then to her own T-shirt which had her hero logo on the front of it. She would then examine the boy's face to see just how freaked out she was which lead her to tap her chin in thought before extending a hand to him in a warm and welcoming fashion. "I just had a wonderful idea! How about after I pick up the stuff I had to leave on the counter and you do whatever shopping you were gonna do, I treat you to a milkshake? Milkshakes always make me feel better when i've had a stressful day. How does that sound? Oh my name's Angel by the way! Angel Surami! What's your name?"

“Y-yeah sorry I… I didn’t realize how long I took deciding if I was going to cross…” He rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly when he got his wrist back, not wanting to be a burden on the apparent hero who’d saved his life. He was more than happy to see heroes in action, but to be the reason they had to come to action in the first place? To be the reason that, even if it had been popped back out, this guy got a dent in his car? Sure, he was still in his right to cross the road when he’d started the sprint, but he felt like he was absolutely the one at fault for everything that just happened. “O-okay…” He nodded along to her request, trying to do so. They were a little shaky but slowly smoothed out. He wouldn’t say he was actually ‘calm’, still feeling like an anxious bundle of nerves, but his heart rate started to ease at least.
Confirming she was indeed a hero, he both felt more guilty and a lot more at ease. He hadn’t made someone risk jail time or anything saving him at least, but he had also managed to waste the time of a UA stu- wait? Student? Ugggh… the sickly feeling in his gut doubled realizing she may have just risked that without a mentor present. He was pretty close with his copy of the UA rulebook, having hoped to apply next year he wanted to be up to date on how to behave and use his quirk on campus if he was lucky enough to get in. He was too nervous to voice an apology, but he really, really hoped he hadn’t gotten Angel in trouble saving his life. “R-right…” He mumbled, the sickly feeling growing a little more intense.
To hear that the junior heroes were getting merch though, her managed to distact himself and gave a shaky nod. “T-that’s actually part of why I er… couldn’t decide to cross the road. I heard they got one of the first shipments at this place and I was curious to see who made the cut. I know a lot of junior heroes don’t have sponsors or brand deals yet so I was wondering if it was mostly gonna be knock off merch or if there was anything official… g-guess at least some of it must be if you’re here to see it too huh?” Yeah, talking about the merch helped him feel a little more at ease, even if he did feel a bit like a silly fanboy talking to a hero about their own product. “I just worried if I made the trip I… wouldn’t be able to hold onto my allowance seeing all that new merch ya know?”
He didn’t recognize the logo sadly, he’d been trying to keep up with Junior heroes but some got in the field work more than others. Curved lightning for instance got a lot of publicity in magazines, but someone like Caldera… well, it was nearly impossible not to see hr out in the field with Redhorn lately. The two seemed to always patrol together these days…
“H-huh?!” Realizing he zoned out a bit trying to memorize her logo, he blushed a bit as she caught him off guard with the suggestion they go get a milkshake. And… well if she was heading to the store anyway. “O-okay… I-I erm… w-would you mind giving me a minute to… check the place out before we do? I-I don’t wanna wasteyour time! I’d love to have a milkshake just… w-would also feel kinda rude if I didn’t at least check out the merch of my saviour right…?”

A s Casper followed her instructions, and began to try and ease his breathing before giving a one quick word in response to the fact that she was still a student. The young boy's reaction told Angel all she needed to know about his concerns, and so she just stood straight up before crossing her arms with a small smirk on her face. It was true that she wasn't actually supposed to try and save people, or do hero work without a pro present, but given the circumstances Angel highly doubted anyone would really question her for saving a young life from what would have been a tragic mistake. Angel just looked down at the young man while thinking about how to best word her explanation. "I highly doubt anyone would put it against me for keeping you from becoming a piece of street graffiti art. I know there are rules against using my quirk out in public, but the higher ups give some of us third years a tad bit a leeway as thanks for helping out in certain crisis situations. I've helped stop a cultist invasion as well as a literal night of the living dead scenario. If I hadn't stepped in both you, and the driver would have been killed. If I get in trouble for preventing that then I will take the flack okay? Don't worry about it man!"Angel would then just give the young man a thumbs up to try and reassure him. As the young boy told her that the reason he was trying to cross the street in the first place was because he heard that the very store Angel had rushed out of to save him had just gotten one of its first shipments of hero merch, and that he wanted to see who made the cut she could see that they did have something in common after all! They were both total nerds over superheroes. The young man even liked the junior heroes, and not just the pros! As he said that at least some of it had to be official, but that he was worried about spending up all of his allowance on the merch which Angel couldn't help but chuckle at! Oh how could she relate to that! "Don't worry about it kid. It's on me this go around alright? Since you brought it up I gotta know! Who's your favorite pro hero? My top three are Red Horn, Ultra Violet and Yellow Jacket, but I may be a bit biased because I have worked alongside all three! It's a real shame that Yellow jacket had to retire."As he asked her if she would give him a chance to check out the merch store, and that he would love the milkshake, but felt it would be rude if he didn't at least check out the merch of the person who had saved his life. To this Angel giggled, and offered her hand out to him. "I don't mind man, but don't feel like you are obligated to spend your money on my merch. I'll gladly pay for whatever you get even if it isn't mine like I said, and besides my merch isn't the most exciting. It's mostly T-shirts, plushies and footwear. The one thing I will say I like about my own stuff is that my aunt is the one who cape up with it all, and if I had to pick a second it was that we had my logo made in every pride flag color. I usually don't buy my own stuff unless i'm buying it for someone else."Angel giggled and kept her hand held out. "Want me to speed you across the street? You can close your eyes if it makes it easier on you. I know sometimes the fast moment makes people motion sick."

Having the scene that could have come to be described rather grimly as ‘street graffiti’ Casper had a final nervous gulp to push down a lump that formed in his throat at that image. He would like to think he’d survive, if a little broken, but the mental image of just being a red smear… he shivered briefly, trying to almost physically shake the thought off as a tingle run through his nerves. Still, he was glad Angel didn’t seemed to be too worried about potential consequences from protecting him, nodding slowly along with her attempted reassurances. “O-okay… if you’re sure.”
He did show a slither of alarm however as she offered to have his purchases today be ‘on her’, raising his hands quickly and shaking his head. “N-no no it’s okay. I mean you saved my life I can’t expect you to pay for my toys and posters too now surely right?” He offered a soft smile, trying to say he was more than happy to pay for his own stuff and he really wouldn’t want to take advantage of her. “I-I really like RedHorn too… m-my family aren’t big fans but I admire the effort she puts into her work, even if she can bend the rules a fair bit to get it done…eheheh… like you, I guess.” He rubbed nervously at the back of his neck, more meaning to joke and hoping he didn’t offend. He personally hadn’t followed yellow jacket much. Even ranking as one of the top heroes she tended to do a lot of background work. Hard to find media appearances for her and all that, but… well, it was still a name easy enough to recognize.
She’d lean on the idea of paying for what he was getting but he’d not fight it more, he’d just try and make sure his money reached the counter before hers did. The offer to take her hand was pulled back from. He appreciated it as he tried to show with a light smile, but right now his nerves were kinda on fire and he wasn’t really in the state of mind for physical contact, let alone with a pretty older girl of all people. “S-sorry I don’t… I don’t do touching much.”
He shook his head at the offer to be sped across the street, walking along behind her. When they reached the shop he didn’t want to keep tugging her along, waving as he felt a little more at ease. “I-I’ll meet you at the counter okay?”
Shifting off into his own aisle, he tried not to divert too much from the junior hero merch. He was interested in the other stuff, especially some of the bigger more bombastic pros, but he had a goal in mind today and limited, if any allowance relatively speaking. His eyes shifted around them, a lot of it looking like knockoff merch honestly. No offense to any of it but it was clear it was more coming from small businesses who didn’t fully know how to mass produce plushies or posters effectively, some posters of say Caldera just photographed mid battle, blown up to poster size. Nothing you couldn’t get from some home-seller off ebay or something.
Some of the heroes had deals of course, Curved Lightning for instance had some more professional plushies with the ASTA tag on the base of their feet. A poster that looked like it was taken by a professional while in her costume, and even a small statuette of her surrounded by electricity. He heard the ASTA sponsored heroes got a lot of special treatment but damn…
He… picked up a few of her posters with a blush on his cheeks.
Angel’s stuff seemed a lot more homely in design. Professional of course but there was a difference between it and the manufacturing element of such a large company. He’d feel an obligation to pick up a poster regardless of her advice at the very least, making sure to look her up and see what work she’d done that may have made it onto the internet when he got home.
Hurrying up to the counter, he’d dip his head out from the aisles to check if Angel had indeed waited for him, holding the poster tubes close to his chest. About 3 of curved lightnings, one of Angel, and a little plushie of hers to put on his desk.

A s the young boy declined to have her pay for his merch as well as his milkshake Angel just decided to give him a nod, and a gentle shrug to tell him it was alright. She then listened to the boy say that he was actually a fan of Red Horn as well even though his parents weren't despite the fact the fact that she bent the rules, even pointing out that Angel kind of did the same. This lead Angel to giggle playfully as she grinned. This kid was a bit sassy despite being so shy, and Angel kinda liked him all the more for it. "My Auntie Rose always says that improvisation is the cornerstone of innovation. I've learned over the years that sometimes instead of going by the book it's better to just throw the book at a problem like a projectile! I will admit that Red Horn's ways can be a bit too straightforward for my liking sometimes, but one can't argue with the results she gets!"As the young boy pulled his hand away respectfully saying that he wasn't much for touch Angel just dropped her hand, and gave the boy an understanding nod. "I can respect that. Neither is Caldura, or my brother Leo. We'll take it at your pace kiddo! Whatever helps you feel the most at ease!"Angel then would just give the boy a small nod as she used regular human speed to cross the street knowing that the young boy was following her. Once they were inside Angel would just allow the young boy to go off and search for the collectables he desired as she scooped up her own merch off of the counter, giggling at the astounded expression that the cashier had on his face. No doubt he had been watching her heroic rescue. She before acknowledging him would check her bags to see that indeed both of her t-shirts, and the figurine of Red Horn were still present. Once that was done Angel would just lean against the counter as she allowed the young boy to do his shopping. "Take your time kiddo! I'm excited to see what you pick out!"Once the kid returned with four rolled up posters, and one of her Angel of Mercy plushies she couldn't but smile and blush. Angel then without a word would look at the cashier who seemed to be reading her mind, and quickly passed her a pink marker which she quickly began to twirl across her hand with ease which despite how simple the act was seemed to still impress the otaku behind the counter. "Aside from my plushy, what else did you get from my merch section? If I remember right I only have one poster. It's a recreation of one of my Auntie's painting to resemble me in stain glass form reaching up for the moon which makes it look like i'm flying. Once you buy everything I'll gladly sign the merch of mine you picked out! Free of charge!"Angel then stepped away from the counter with a small chuckle, as she balanced the marker on the tip of her left index finger gracefully. "I bought one of Red Horn's statues. The one of her crushing a boulder under her foot, as well as two of my own logo shirts in the blue and black base colors with my logo in the Lesbian flag colors so that my Fiancé and I could match.Once she said this Angel turned her head toward the otaku cashier who seemed to be over the moon just to have her in the store let alone having had her save someone outside of it. "If I bring some New Oasis Orphanage and Youth center flyers by, do you mind if I hang them up outside your shop?"To this the young cashier just happily shook his head saying that she could. Angel then looked at the young Otaku ready to check out. "If you got posters of any pros or Junior heroes that I'm friends with I could see about getting them signed if ya like."

Casper was used to having to nervously ask the heroes he looked up to to sign anything he happened to have on him, and Angel here was just jumping to offering right away. Not about to look a gift horse in the mouth he propped the poster tubes up against the wall, putting the plush on the counter beside Angel for her to sign as he pulled out the rolled up poster from it’s tube, her one, of course, extra careful not to grab any of curved lightnings.
“W-well er… there’s this poster and the plus…” He looked over to the cashier. “And 3 more posters from the junior hero section.” The prices of the posters were all the same so the cashier was able to ring him up without the barcodes, Casper feeling a bit of relief that it wouldn’t show up what he was buying and feeling a little more secure. “Y-you don’t have to now Angel but maybe when we sit down somewhere you’d sign my autograph book too? I’m trying to get a signature from every hero I can in it. I’ve already got a few notable examples but I’m sure you can imagine it’s hard to catch a hero before they’re rushing off to the next scene right?”
Scooping up his posters, having to count out his allowance so that he still definitely had enough for a milkshake or a smoothie in a moment, he felt like he just barely had enough, a brief tinge of regret in the purchase but if he really thought about it what else was he gonna spend it on? He’d probably just shove it in a piggybank until he had the money to buy a more pricey example of the merch like the statues or the like. No reason to get sad about it if he was gonna get merch either way right?
“Mm?” Lifting his head back to Angel, the question of what else he’d gotten left him a little red, slipping the tubes into his school backpack, the tips poking out between the zippers tightening around them so they didn’t shift and sway with every step. “O-oh I just er… got a few posters of curved lightning. O-one of her working with Caldera but erm… I-I don’t think they’d wanna know some creepy fanboy is buying their posters so maybe not the best idea?” He shrugged nervously, trying not to linger on the topic as he added. “S-so! Smoothies or.. w-was it milkshakes?”

A s the young boy placed the Angel of Mercy plush down in front of her on the counter to be rung up Angel waited to sign it until she knew it had been rung up. Once she received a small nod from the clerk Angel uncapped the marker, and signed "The Angel of Mercy" as well as her logo on the back of the plushy with a grin. Pmce Angel's own poster was unrolled to be paid for Angel noticed that it was the stained glass painting like picture of her made by her auntie of Angel flying in the air reaching for the sky. Knowing the kid would want this signed as well Angel just moved her hands to the bottom of the poster, and signed her hero name once more, her logo, and the message "Never stop reaching for your dreams!" Once everything was paid for Angel passed the marker back to the cashier and listened as the young man shyly asked her once they had a chance to sit down, if she would sign his autograph book since it was hard to get autographs from heroes fresh from a job. "Not a problem kiddo! I'll sign anything you want me too, I really don't mind."As the young boy who had still not given his name got a little red and explained that the other posters he got were of curved lightning Angel couldn't help, but giggle slightly. Angel couldn't really blame the boy after all. He was most likely no older then 13 or 14, and Yumi was one of the sexiest women in the world, so there was no doubt that a bunch of teenage boys and girls had her posters, or snap shots around their rooms. It was frankly adorable, and while Angel could admit that she herself was rather beautiful, it wasn't really her style to show off a bunch of skin to gain popularity. Angel often did her best to maintain a child friendly at most PG-13 image especially since she now owned and help run an orphanage and youth center. The young hero would just place her hand on the boy's shoulder with a large grin. "There's no shame in finding Curved Lightning & Caldera sexy! They are beautiful and talented young ladies. Here's a little insider secret for ya kid. Before I met my fiancé and got engaged, I myself had a crush on Curved Lightning for a long while. There is nothing wrong with having a crush as long as you are respectful about it, and the other person's feelings! ya get me?"As the kid asked if they were getting smoothies or milkshakes Angel just turned toward the door, and began to head out motioning for the young man to follow her. Once they were outside she started to walk in the direction of her favorite nearby artisinal milkshake ice cream shop. As she walked she would make sure to go slow enough that the young boy could walk by her side as she hung her own bag over her arm with a smile. "We're having milkshakes, and unlike with the merch I insist on paying for the meal. So kiddo, do you wanna be a pro hero when you grow up, or are you just a fan I never really got your name by the way! You can just call me Angel. I use part of my real name in my hero alias. I know it's not the most creative, but my mom did decide to name me Angelica due to my wings, so you really can't blame me. If you do wanna be a hero, why do you wanna be one?"

Glad for the signatures on what he’d bought and the chance to get her to sign his collection of autographs too, Casper quickly rolled up the exposed poster so as it didn’t get too messy and put it back in the tubing. He didn’t dare reveal the posters of Curved lightning and Caldera he’d grabbed, not wanting to really reveal much about his choices. They weren’t too perverse really, for a girl who’d done bikini shoots for a summer line once, posters of her in her relatively covered up hero costume weren’t exactly perverse but… well, he did really like how she looked, and even such simple posters left him a bit flustered.
“S-still, thanks. I don’t imagine it can be the most pleasant having to give up time outta your day for everyone asking you to sign a piece of paper.” He rubbed his neck, trying to be a little jokey but feeling there was some truth there. As much as he admired how selfless heroes could be, he imagined every other random kid asking for an autograph could get tiring. Realizing as he thought about that he hadn’t even given her his OWN name yet, he added with a stuttering little blush. “I-I’m Casper, by the way… I-I only just remembered you asked, ehehe…”
Being called out for the fact he got some of curved lightning’s posters, his cheeks turned a deeper red and his head hung a little lower, unable to meet her eyes for a moment. Even if she was trying to relate to him it definitely left him a little flustered, a soft whine escaping his throat as he held his arms around himself, fixing the straps of his loaded up backpack. “I-I mean… t-they’re nice it’s… i-it’s erm… yeah…” He didn’t really even have a good defense. He just knew such girls were always gonna be way out of his league and yet he couldn’t help the hormonal part of his brain finding them attractive anyway. “I-I get ya… yeah…”
Following beside Angel sharply all the same, his short legs needing to take some quicker steps than hers even if she did slow down for him, he’d glance across at the question of him wanting to be a hero. “I-I do… but I don’t know if I’ll even get into UA. I hear they’re pretty accepting but… well my quirk’s nothing special really when you get down to it. I-if anything it just makes me look…” He gestured over his scrawny self. “A lot less impressive…”
He sighed softly. She was asking why he wanted to be a hero in the end, not if he thought he could actually be one, so he’d at least make sure to answer that, a slow breath flowing through him. “I just… see heroes being all… amazing, in the news all the time, saving lives… even if my parents and my brother don’t forget the damage they can do, I… I can’t weigh a life against having to pay to fix a wall or a dent in a car. I don’t wanna damage or break anything to save lives, I don’t imagine anyone does but… to be able to go out there, and be a symbol of hope, to save lives… I don’t really mind what the cost is. To myself, or the world around me… so long as the world is a better place, even a little, by the time I end my shift as a hero, I feel I could always go to bed happy…”
He gave a somewhat nervous shrug, his words falling silent, feeling it was a bit dumb and not knowing what else to say.

A s the young man explained that it couldn't have been the most pleasant feeling to have people rushing up to her all day asking her to sign things Angel just shrugged. Unlike Yumi and Jaz who had extremely public side jobs like being a rapper or a model Angel's secondary career was rather tame in comparison despite how large of a compound New Oasis was. It honestly made Angel chuckle a little bit as she looked down at the young man. He truly did idolize the new heroic figures that were taking hold in society, and it did warm her heart quite a lot. "Truth be told kiddo, I'm not really as popular as say Curved Lightning or Caldara. Their side jobs as a model and a rapper expand their fanbases, and make them easier to recognize outside of their hero work. I mostly get recognized from my hero work that gets caught on film though I do own a combination orphanage and youth center named New Oasis. Every hero has their own demographics, and mine is very much young children, or the LGBTQA+ community. Yea it would be nice to be a little more famous, but at the end of the day that's not the most important thing, also it is very nice to officially meet you Casper!"As Casper got all flustered for being called out for getting Yumi's posters Angel couldn't help but be reminded of herself whenever Yumi got a bit too close to her. The young pink haired girl had to stifle a small laugh at the display before ruffling the young boy's hair playfully as he tried to justify his purchase to her. To this Angel just shook her head with a playful smile. "Casper, there is no reason to feel embarassed for finding her attractive as i've said. Curved Lightning can be a bit of a playful tease when the mood strikes her. I'm happily engaged to a beautiful woman, and yet Curved Lightning is still able to get under my skin. You aren't alone in that flustered feeling I promise you. You're young, I'm sure when you get older you will find that special individual that will make you feel like Curved Lightning makes you feel, and so much more. I truly believe there is someone out there for everyone. Sometimes it just takes a bit of time to find them. Maybe later i'll tell you how I met my special lady."As there walk continued, and they got closer to their destination Angel listened to Casper explain that he did indeed want to get into U.A., but that he didn't think he would be able to because he thought his quirk was nothing all that impressive and made him look more scrawny then he already did. This caused Angel to stop in her tracks, get in front of Casper and kneel down on one knee to look him in the eyes with a compassionate almost sister like gaze and smile. "Now you listen to me Casper. I saw that little forcefield you made to try and protect yourself during the car accident. You may not be strong enough to say protect yourself from a missile yet, but I know that with the proper hard work and dedication you will get there. You see quirks are like muscles, and the more we use them the stronger they become. Beyond that however age can also be a factor. Right now i'm guessing you're what 14? You have probably already had the puberty talk, but what regular schools don't tell you in detail is that as we get older and our bodies develop so do our quirks. You think I was able to lift cars with one hand when I was your age? Heck no! It took a lifetime of hard work, dedication and plenty of trips to the nurse's office."Angel would then giggle playfully before motioning to the long vertical jagged scar under her right eye that went halfway down her cheek before tugging on it, and playfully sticking her tongue out at Casper, but stayed down in a half kneel position with her smile returning as he explained that the reason he wanted to be a hero because he always saw them being all amazing on the news and saving lives even though his family didn't really approve because of the damage, but that he couldn't weigh that against the value of a life. What truly touched Angel's heart was when Casper said that he wanted to be a symbol of hope no matter the cost. It was this sentiment that earned Casper a gentle hug. Once Angel broke the hug she just gave the boy a heartfelt gaze, and gently poked his chest where his heart was. "Casper It's that kind of dedication to doing what is right no matter the cost to yourself that gives you the right to call yourself a hero. I myself too want to become a symbol, but of love, unity and mercy. I want to create a world where no little boy, girl or anyone in between will ever be persecuted just for being different. I want to bridge the gap between us quirkers, and the quirkless we protect. My powers help with that yes, but it is my honest belief that one's true strength comes from their heart, and the convictions in their soul. Anyone can have some flashy super power, and say that they wanna be a hero, but real heroes are the one's who want to be a hero even if they think they aren't the strongest in body, but are strong in conviction and heart. It is my belief that if you are nothing without your power then you shouldn't have it, and from what I have seen from you today Casper I truly believe that you have what it takes to become a great pro hero the likes this world has never seen, and when that day comes maybe even before it will be an honor to fight beside you."Angel before standing up would slide her left wing out through the hole in her trench coat, and gently pluck one of her feathers from it, and tuck it behind the young boy's left ear playfully before returning her wing back under her trench coat standing up as she did so. "A little souvenir that they don't sell in stores for one of the world's up and coming heroes. Now let's get those Milkshakes!"Angel would then finish leading Casper to an old school 1940's themed ice cream parlor, and opened the door for him causing a little bell to jingle above it. The inside was decorated much like an American themed 1940's malt shop though all of the equipment was very much modern. As the owner and cashier spotted Angel holding open the door he gave her a friendly wave. "If it isn't my favorite high flying hero! Let me guess, the usual triple chocolate malt shake with hot fudge on top?"The older gentleman chuckled as Angel nodded. He was of African American persuasion with curly and bushy white hair with plenty of age and smile caused wrinkles on his face. He was a tad heavyset, but it just made him look all the more jolly. "That's right Mr.Franklin, and whatever my new young friend wants! It's on me today!"The elderly gentleman nodded as he began to work on Angel's shake first. it was clear with how he did everything by hand that he was quirkless, and yet still loved what he did. As he worked he spoke back to Casper. "Angel has always seemed to have a way with the youngsters. She was actually one of my customers when I moved here from America! She sure keeps me busy! What can I get ya kid?"

Casper just continued to feel a little awkward talking about Curved lightning. He felt kinda like his older sister was trying to help him work on his confidence with girls or something but barely knowing Angel it just felt more awkward than anything. “I feel like there’s some reason…” (to be embaressed) He muttered under his breath, but his eyes not really aimed at her. He lacked a lot of self confidence, but heck, even if he did he knew curved lightning would be way out of his league there.
As he talked about his quirk Angel would seem to feel the need to get even more sisterly as she stopped and kneeled down beside him, his cheeks flushed a little with embaressment that he was bringing a hero to do this just because he was a damn sad sack about his quirk. “I-I dunno about forcefield it’s just this… weird energy. It probably wouldn’t have even saved me from much. J-just a reflex… I-I’m fine though. Really. I’ll try for UA but… I-I don’t want them wasting their time on someone who can’t hack it, ya know? T-that’s all there is to it.” He shrugged a little halfheartedly, not wanting to make Angel linger on the topic with him.
He smiled a little at her attempts to lift his spirits and encourage him, but Casper had no real argument to be made there. He just… didn’t have confidence in himself. He didn’t have much reason to, and it could be hard to accept the confidence others had, especially someone who didn’t really know him yet. Still, he returned a warm smile all the same, appreciating such efforts regardless. The hug was nice too…. Though with the height difference it did leave his eyes rapidly looking the other way as her chest squeezed into his face for a moment. Yep. He wasn’t forgetting that quick.
“W-well… w-we’ll see, I guess…”
He’d reach up to feel the feather in his hair, and without a second thought about it, pull out his autograph book from his backpack. It had some loose pieces of tape stuck to the back cover, and un-peeling one he used it to keep the feather in place, not really saying much about it. Just a reflex to collect anything he could in there. He even had a taped down shard of Red Horn’s horn from one of the times she went Red.
“Y-yeah. Thanks… milkshakes. Yeah. Eheheh…”
When arriving at the shop and hearing Angel was a regular, he made an unconscious mental note to maybe try and come by here once in a while if he ended up liking it. It wasn’t too far from the merch store afterall. When asked what he wanted, he hesitated, he thought briefly to just ask to just share in what she was having for a new experience, but going with his gut-
“I think I’ll just have a plain banana milkshake, if that’s okay… been a bit of a wild day to try new things too, eheheh…”

A s Angel's milkshake was almost done being prepared Angel listened silently as Casper ordered a banana milkshake while thinking about what Casper said about his own quirk activating on reflex. It seemed that he didn't think very much of himself at all, and so once Mr.Franklin worked hard on their orders, finishing Angel's and starting on Casper's even adding actual banana slices on top as garnish and extra flavoring Angel pulled out a chair for Casper at a nearby table with a small smile. She would then quickly pay for both milkshakes before Casper had the chance to get his money out, and sat his milkshake in front of him on the table as she also sat down with her own. "Casper you need to stop selling yourself so short. Your quirk may have acted on reflex, but it's those very kind of reflexes and quickness to act that could be the key to saving someone's life in a tragedy much like how I saved you. Your quirk may not be the strongest, but your quick draw with using it is one of the fastest I have ever seen in someone your age. Just imagine how much better that reflex, and control will be when you begin properly training it. If what you say is true, and your quirk isn't actually just a forcefield, but a type of energy inside you that can be manipulated and shaped with practice you could become quite the versatile hero. My Auntie Rose Nikos has this saying. Improvisation is the cornerstone of innovation. The ability to adapt is one of the most important skills I believe not only a hero should have, but people in general. Wanna know a little secret? When I first started out I could barely lift myself off the ground with my wings. People often assume my quirk is bird related giving me hollow bones, but that's not the case. That's why I developed super strength as part of said quirk, so that my wings could not only lift, but also fly with the weight of normal bones and muscles. The big draw back to this is I have to consume quite a few calories a day to keep my strength up. Thus my love for sweets."Hearing this as Angel picked up her milkshake and sipped a large chunk of it in one go Mr.Franklin let out a hardy chuckle. "She may look small and skinny, but she could clean out my entire stock within a single day! During last years sports festival I must have sold her at least 20 or 30 milkshakes! Little Angel here could single handedly keep me in buisness for years!"Once Angel chugged a good chunk of her milkshake she pointed toward where Casper kept his autograph book where she had seen him store his feather. "If I may ask, what else besides autographs and my feather do you keep in that book of yours? Believe it or not Casper, but your fanboy nature when it comes to heroes and their exploits can be quite the asset to both you and other heroes. If you expanded upon it, and say started taking notes on both heroes and villains during fights or the sports festivals when you face off against other hero schools like I had to you could learn strengths, weaknesses, fighting habits, fighting flaws, quirk specifics and more that would make you either a great combat centered hero, or a support centered hero using your knowledge to design support items. I truly do see great potential in you, and if you are truly worried about not being able to make it in I will gladly help train you to help you get ready, or put in a good word for you so you can get in through recommendation, if that becomes a thing."Hearing this Franklin smiled over at Casper. "From what Angel tells me her current protege made it to the #2 spot in the 2nd year leader boards this year, and is one of the best support course students the school has."Angel nodded at this statement. "Maybe you've heard of her. Her hero name is Aurum Arachne. My auntie actually designed both her and my first hero suits. You'd easily recognize her because her head is a giant spider. She's like a little sister to me."
