The police were slowly dispatched in ways that left their final moments as wide eyed sensations of fear. From the violet wig haired woman impaling the cop bellow her with her sword leaving the officer skewered in a few moments of pained sensation before death quickly washed over him to the Seita and Jun that played with their officers like veggies on a toddlers plate. One's head crushed and trauma of blunt forced causing non existence to wash over them as another was sent flying and shot out of the sky like a clay pigeon. In the end only a terrified officer in Jun's arms would remain terrified as their crew of officers tired from a night of fighting the undead had been dispatched before his very eyes but this make shift gang of goons. Gasping heavily unable to even find words from the fear and terror that shook through his soul while in Jun's grasp.
A few quick shots after a short silence would ring out in the distance as shots would come roaring out one trying to aim over the cop hostages shoulder if he was still alive towards Jun trying to find anything it could make purchase and land upon. A second shot as well suddenly blasting forth from a powerful weapon towards Kasey as well as the backup was arriving albeit too late for their fallen comrades. In the distance small glowing lights from goggles to help them see in the area and focus down on their foes as the elite officers of the squad caught up finally. Their rifles aiming down in the distance as they each used small clamps and gear to help them leap about and cling to the side of two buildings down the ally. Moments after the shots rang out and the glowing goggles lit up smoke would begin filling the alley ways as they tossed several banisters quickly. The officers trying to cover their approach their after in shrouded smoke and mist so they couldn't be seen nearly as easily after falling towards the ground and moving on near silent feet from cover to cover slowly approaching their enemies.
"Normally we'd tell you to put don't your weapons and give up... But it seems like you've already made your choices." One would say briefly as they prepared their weaponry approaching slowly within the smoke moving from dumpsters to small walls keeping behind cover whenever they could and using the smoke when they couldn't to approach softly as they could. It was only two of them but they were trained and ready more then the average cop by far.

The dragged corpse behind them would be pulled along the asphalt as they made their way to be discovered. It was a gamble of numbers. They could easily overwhelm the police force with sheer numbers, but at the trade off of their powers, and how much of a beating they could take. Kasey, herself, would remain safe in her own sort of protection. Was it better for them to preform quantity, or quality? In this case, it didn't matter much. She shook her head, turning to the dead body, only to dig her nails into his neck, piercing his flesh. her nails would grow, extending to his bones and fusing with them. In a fraction of a moment, they would all fuse together, before being completely removed from his system. All of it absorbed and used as material. Without using her blade, she used her claws to rip away at the man's arm, separating it from his body. The meat lifted to her lips before being tossed aside. The blood from her small snack dripping down the front of her face. Setsuna would move ahead of her, the barrel of the gun in his hand. He was nothing more than support, a mount to assist in her activities. They ran ahead, only to have the cracking sound of gunfire to turn their heads. The sound of rappelling men as they came behind her. "Last I checked, you fired first. That makes me a case of self defense." She sighed, handing the weapon to Setsuna to take aim and fire back in the direction of the shot that came towards them. The impact hitting his bones, and setting the bullet ricocheting passed her. They didn't need to stop anything. All they needed to do, was deflect. They would quickly make their way out of the alley, taking the smoke behind them. She would reach out with her hands, the bones extending from her palm to reach to either side of the alleyway. Two walls would be created, each of them reaching fifteen feet tall, just under triple her height. The soft strands that tied them to each other. A ten foot gap between them. Kasey would remain here. Setsuna would unload a few rounds every few moments to fire back at the officer. "You can stop, and leave us alone, or else we're going to have to use force."They weren't speaking on behalf of the group. They were only talking about themselves. ~ Word Count: 412 ~ |

Humor seemed in rather poor supply with the armed and armored man. "Yes, dreadful habit I know. Personally, I blame my parents." Jun responded to the disdainful remark. This one was unlikely to be any sort of future ally. At least not a reliable one but perhaps one he could call upon for the right price. He could have passed for some sort of futuristic mercenary in a some science fiction show. If one could judge a book by their cover then perhaps Jun might enjoy the occasional deal with him.
At least he wasn't so boorish as to not play along and let the police pigeon simply drop to the ground.
"Nice sho..." The shot rang out, slipping past the meat shield and piercing Jun's shoulder. He doubled over in pain, soft tendrils raised towards the wound to firmly press against it to stem the bleeding. "They don't seem too bothered by the possibility of hitting you. I'd say that limits your usefulness but I'm curious to see if you'll survive this. In fact I give you my word, if you die then it won't be by my hand." Jun maintained his facetious attitude even as he hissed in pain as the tendrils pressed against his open wound.
Blood dripped down his motionless arm as it hung limp by his side into a small pool on the ground. Jun's eyes darted back and forth to identify the newcomers and assess the new situation. His mouths curled up into something between a snarl and a sneer. His observation would be thwarted however by the rising smoke. Keen as his eyes were they were not quite keen enough to pierce it. "Now this is looking to be more of a fight." Jun remarked to his hostage. "Strap yourself in Momo, that's your name now by the way, it's going to be a hell of a ride." He was in pain, couldn't see and surrounded by enemies and tenuous allies at best. But regardless of all that, Jun enjoyed himself. Lording it over helpless victims was a serene sort of bliss. Whereas overcoming a true threat to one's life had a significantly more satisfying reward waiting at the end of it.
Jun hunkered down, reducing his already small profile even further and placing Momo in front of him. Towards where he believed the special forces, or whatever these guys were, were coming from Jun launched a wide net of thin, stringy flesh. This was too flimsy to cause any damage. It's purpose was to target location. Simply lashing out wildly in such a wide area with full force would be too tiring in case it amounted to nothing. So instead Jun used minimal biomass and would react the moment he detected resistance from anywhere he didn't remember there already being an obstacle such as cars or street lights. If he felt his fleshy net make contact with one of the decked out police officers a properly hefty tendril lined with bone spikes would shoot towards the acquired target and attempt to rip him apart.

Seita just laughed as loudly as he watched all the cops that had shown up initially. Had either fallen or had been taken hostage. “Aww, you have a name for your pet.” Seita commented as he pulled his arm back through the officer’s body. He watched the limp body slump to the ground, a cold smile on his face, “Such a fragile creature.” He said, wiping his bloody arm off on the fallen officer’s uniform.
“Kill that insect and….” Seita began to say before his words were interrupted by several gunshots that filled the air with man-made thunder. Seita instinctively took cover behind a car, using his enhanced speed to move quickly. He looked over and saw that his comrade with the hostage appeared to get hit. “Are you alright my dear!” He called out. He turned back to try and see where the shots came from, but he failed to spot any shooters. Suddenly several muffled explosions went off and the area was filled with smoke. “Looks like the Calvary is here.” He muttered as he covered his mouth and nose with his hand.
Seita heard a voice call out to them, and judging by the tone and words the person used, they were also cops. But these ones seemed more well trained and disciplined. They used cover and concealment to try and even the fight. No matter though, after all, they were little insects that had no gifts of their own. No, they were the ones that should be surrendering to the new era where the gifted sit atop the mountain, not wallowing in the shadows. “Our choices were made the day we were born with these gifts my poor misguided officers. Your government saw to that.” Seita retorted. He peeked around the corner of the car to try and tell where the voice was coming from. If he could pinpoint it, then he was confident that his speed would slow him to get up close to them before they could react.

Shuichi took a beleaguered breath as he lowered his gun, pushing such useless anger away from him. It could only get in the way and cloud his judgement when he needed it the most in a firefight. He would take the thee instance of reprise from the action to stow the now-empty magazine and load the gun with another, flinching only as another volley from his enemies ratcheted through the tight alleyway, staining his armor with a spray of Jun's blood! He could hardly help but to feel a tinge of sympathy for the enemies that laid lifeless before him. To think that he would be siding with such the monsters that had killed his parents. Barbarity brought about by necessity. Perhaps he could bring himself to clean his hands of it. Ultimately, it was a fight for survival.
The Martyr's stomach grew tight as the canisters released. Surrounded. Surrounded... They had to make an opening and bust through. How many footsteps? He heard at least four, and another that was downright inhuman, but everything was muddled by the ringing in his ears which made his entire body feel numb. He could barely see but the vaguest shapes through the smoke, his nostrils still filled with the smell of black and sulphur under the odd smell of a cloudy day.
"Fuck..." The man sighed. He was practically blind. He would keep his ears open the best he could for the sounds of shuffling feet, all while kneeling closer to the ground, Jun to his back. With a free hand he would manipulate the calcium creation in front of him and on its side so that he could prop his gun upon it once more. He figured that too many of his "allies" would be engaging within melee. As soon as he was certain what he was aiming at was a hostile, he would take a shot!

These troopers were well geared, If it wasn't for the chaos of this night there likely would have been more elites rushing the position but the lines were stretched and while this area was mostly cleared there was still several more areas that needed cleared and people needing saving. These villains were one danger among many littering the radios and worries of the law enforcement. The chances of officers showing up to one or another moment of chaos was up in the air as they struggled to keep up with all the calls they could given the man power they had moving from one job immediately to another as in some places fatigue was likely setting in for this long undead night. For now these two skilled elite officers moving in with bravery in their eyes as the battle begin.
The bullets clanged off a dumpster as one took cover quickly trying to evade Kasey's The clever shots of the creature and its master noticed briefly as cover seemed to be key for this elites in the mist. Elite A seemed confused a bit unsure as well looking at the bone walls. Taking a moment to quickly let their brain rush through all the training they'd had. "Desperate times villains, Don't try and think you can use such ideas to get out of your punishments. You're going down kids." The voice would say smugly. A little worried on the inside though watching and observing the strange bone defenses that seemed to be summoned forth.
They elite quickly found themselves distracted by a Tendril shooting their way through the mist. A bit taken back as they were distracted by Kasey after a moment even though they'd wounded the beastly girl it apparently didn't hold them back for long. The slash of a meaty tendril slicing into their body armor as some blunt trauma knocked them back. Not breaking through the armor just yet but given the groans coming from the elite A it was clear it had a effect all the same. "What the shit!" They'd say drawing a pistol rather then the rifle at this closest range and crawling by kicking with their legs on their back trying to slide back into cover as they quickly emptied a handgun clip towards the meaty tendril trying to get it to repeat. The Elite A's actions quick with truly trained reaction time. The voiced all the while likely helping Seita as well as he listened looking for his targets by sound within the misty smoke grenade effected areas.
Meanwhile a strong shot from the well trained and deadly Shuichi had sent Elite B falling on his back as a round tore through his armor at the shoulder and moving clean through the Elite B quickly trying to return to cover shortly after. "Fucking freaks the lot of em." They said as if a grudge now in their voice chucking a small explosive device towards the warrior who shot at him in a arc up high where it would bounce nearby and explode if the skilled mercenary didn't quickly think of how to evade.

She had a thousand reasons to kill them all. She had a million methods to do so. The only man she killed so far, was an officer who opened fired on her. They were obviously shooting first and asking questions later. She wasn't going to deal with this a second time. Not again. The bone wire kept her connected to the walls she created, while her other hand reached into her pocket to take out her phone. Perhaps listening to her superior and updating herself was a good choice. While she didn't so much enjoy the touch screen, she did find pleasure in the quality of the camera. She tucked it into her breast pocket, only after quickly tapping away to link her phone with the servers she had at her own headquarters. Setsuna held his fire, conserving what was left of the rifle. If they needed more ammo, they would have to take some from another officer, or by other means. They only had what limited supply was in the gun still, and the few magazines that the officer carried. Given that their rear guard had become their front, Setsuna would rush forward to loot what he could from the other slain officers. Anything, and everything would be useful to them, and with the new gathered party around them, there was no reason to play games anymore. "Last I checked, no crime was committed. If you attack us, we're going to defend ourselves." Setsuna would speak from the walls themselves, his body looking around to scan for any other officers. "Either you can do protect the citizens of Japan, or we'll make sure you don't shoot at innocents again." A threat, but one worded carefully for court, should it arise. They had not a single crime known to the police force. Anything about them was suspicion. At most they could charge them with using their quirk in public, perhaps aiding criminals, though trying to prove an allegiance, or that she knew of their intentions would fall flat. Kasey would turn to the newly made allies, before making her decision. "Get their radios, now is the time to intercept their communications." She would speak, dusting herself off, and keeping a hold, allowing Setsuna to do all of the heavy lifting. "These two are ours. We'll draw attention, you all can get them from behind." He would look them all once over, looking at hem more carefully now that they were near. "Unless you need me to make you different weapons."~ Word Count: 420 ~ |

Seita laughed at the strange newcomers' comments. “Well technically they are responding to us slaughtering their comrades.” Seita chuckled as he looked over at the dead officers that lay in the streets. Seita had no plans on getting caught or brought in, so he saw no need in trying to bait the cops into giving up. If one could credit these government dogs for, it was they didn’t seem to give up very easily.
“These government dogs have all the leeway here my dear friends. Our lovely government will happily spin our potential demise in their favor. Might even give these two medals for killing us.” Seita said, his tone as icy as his quirk. Seita peeked out once again from her cover. He saw one of the two get clipped in the shoulder, courtesy of his gun wielding friend. That caused them to fall back a bit as they took cover once more.
Suddenly dual explosions ripped through the streets as two grenades rolled down the street and exploded near Shuichi. The sound and shock wave shook Seita’s insides and rattled his brain. For a brief moment Seita couldn’t hear anything, then slowly the silence turned into a mind numbing ringing. “God damn grenades. Guess they’re done playing around.” Seita spat. He shook his head, trying to get the ringing to stop. “So. Anyone gonna take these dogs out? Or shall we continue to let them hurl explosives at us?!” Seita called out.

Would they ever shut up? Shuichi's head pounded as the cannonade of sensations threatened to flood his mind. All atop the muffled bantering of useless flapping meat. Was it all game to them? Was he the only sane mind here? The sooner that he could kill them the sooner he could get out of there! His eyes could barely pierce through the smoke still, and he could hear the tale-tell signs of another one of their smoke grenades. How much time did they need to buy? Their blitz must have been stopped. How much longer until they got more back-up? Perhaps his little rag-tag team could handle them now, but the veritable army that was to come? A lesson in insanity... no, they needed out. He had to convince those bloodthirsty dogs to run like cowards so he could live to see tomorrow!
"Enough-" It was nearly too late for him the blurry shape of the grenade landed in front of him. He could hear the fuse dwindling down ever so quickly. It was no worry, he had trained for this.... Well, he watched a video about it once, but he had to run!
"GRENADE" He would shout at the top of his lungs, attempting to garner Jun's attention, before dashing off away from the deadly explosive. He would then dive to the ground with haste, the terrible sound of his armor grinding against the concrete pavement easily muted by the concussive blast that no doubt ripped through the alleyway.
Should the meat of his legs not be shredded by the grenade's shrapnel, he would peel himself off of the ground. His ears rung with that terrible note, sending colors and pricks of pain dancing around his vision and body. Up felt like down and stank of rotting brussel sprouts. For those moments his world was confused.
He would only be able to hear the words of the approaching woman through the higher timbres in her voice, though it was muffled. Embryo? Stereo?... Radio! Though he didn't hear the rest of her plan, a similar idea came to his mind. If they could keep track of police movements they could easily use that knowledge to escape! The man would fire lay down a bit of cover fire back towards the officers as he kneeled down to dig through the viscera to grab one of the fallens' radios.

They were mostly silent after the blasts continuing to take aim in covered positions in the moment at a sort of stand off with the strange foes. The mystery of who they were fighting beyond them being some bad eggs that needed taking down made them cautious to say the least. The only quick sound shortly after was a shot launched at the walls as if to let the smooth talking bone creature they weren't having any of its slick words. They had a job to do and orders and they weren't listening to anything other then a surrender it would seem as the warning shots rang out. But beyond that silence would come back shortly after. A stand still briefly created given the defenses of their foe blocking the way and other cautionary worries the officers had. Let alone the injuries now acrewed.
Elite A had quickly withdrew back to cover taking a few moments to reload their weapons and prepare hiding behind a small stone property fence of sorts for cover while Elite B quickly tried to bind his wounds where he remained behind the dumpster. Angrily grunting as they tried to get a handle on their wound. He let out a heavy sigh shortly after returning to trying to aim just lightly over the dumpster with his rifle. Not firing any warning shots like his partner but waiting... waiting for those damned villains to make a move. ---

There was no point in speaking towards deaf ears. It did not matter how elaborate, well thought out, or well strung your words were. If didn't matter if you were convincing, deceptive, or simply cunning. There was no way to persuade the deaf. Those that refused to see things in other lights, were going to be their own downfall. They were careful in their actions. Should there be cameras, it was not their hands that would be bloodied, not yet at least. Their hand was full, and not a single card would be played. Everyone could guess their move but that was all they could get. Everyone else had been playing with the cards there were dealt. And with it, their trump cards assumed to be saved for later. Setsuna had made his move towards his host only to surround her as the gun remained in his grasp. He would face the walls, seeing through them, and seeing what was on the other side. "You best remain behind cover." the face before them would speak, the wall addressing the team. "What are your names?" A futile effort to be personal with the officers before them. Kasey would press herself against the rib cage of her creature, almost wearing him as a sort of armor as she gripped his bones. Without suggestion from the others, and no request, like before, a long bone would extend upwards allowing her to gain leverage above it all. There was no active action being done, there was no spoken words to the others around her. For now, she needed distance. For now, she needed to think. For now, her plan was to get to the rooftop. "You both have families, don't you?" the wall would ask again, speaking lowly, enough for the officers to be in ear shot, but enough to keep their conversation private. All of it just another guise in itself. The string that connected it all still in the hands of the girl. ~ Word Count: 331 ~ |

The man would tuck the radio under his arm as he readied himself to shoot, the drum beats of his heart piercing through the horrid squelching ringing that hung around him. The fools, the flightless fools, damnit. He nearly fumbled as the percussive strikes of covering fire danced around him. A lead, yes, but could he follow it. They would have the strength of familiarity and teamwork on their side, their plots could be made on that alone. So what was he covering for? Shuichi grit his teeth. He wanted to know all the information before engaging in drastic measures. What did he have? A couple of enigmas, a monster that could change itself at will, and a bludgeon. A bludgeon that walked fearlessly into gunfire like childsplay. 'Bludgeon' was too ungenerous a term. Kuro would be his battering ram! "Kuro!" The man would yell into the battle, hoping that the monster of a man would recognize the abbreviation of his own alias! "Get in there and clear a path for us! I'll give you suppressive fire!" Was he an idiot for laying his plan out so loudly? Maybe, but in his mind it wouldn't matter at this point. If it worked out he would get out of this alive!
"And you two!" He tried to make his voice a bit more normal, but with the ringing in his ears it probably came across as more a hushed shout. "I'm moving as soon as I give the signal, I suggest the both of you do the same!"
The man aimed down range towards the two officers that continued to pester him. Much the same as the first elite, he once again fired into the thinning smoke, taking care to not give Kuro an unfortunate new piercing. If he was in the officers' situation he would have taken cover, but his memory of the area's layout was admittedly fuzzy, but he was certain he could keep them in hiding while he raced to the end of his magazine. Considering how fast he could bounce the trigger it would give him a few seconds, and that would have to do. Hopefully, he could get the monsters to do what he said!

Between those already fallen and the fatigue of a long stretch of effort clearing the departed and walking dead. The soldiers elites as they were still were only a small number being just the two of them. They held in cover most of the time and only answered the strange attempts and communication with warning shots and further calls for their targets to surrender. They were locked behind cover in what would feel like a old stand off in a old western film with neither side showing signs just yet of surrendering. The Elite who was wounded finished tending his wound while they kept a eye out all the same. But distracted and unaware of the strong last ditch plan from one of their foes they didn't catch my information beyond the bullets eventually suppressing them further. Between the strange defensive walls and the sudden suppression of fire caused them to actually take a moment and retreat a bit further back behind some sturdier cover behind a wall of stone like property fence at the edges of the ally providing the perfect opportunity for Shuichis secret plan to work.
If anytime was the time to take such a chance it was now. They would be distracted taking new cover and attempting to get new angles hoping for a better chance compared to their prior fired upon positions.

Wasted time. All of it. Enless seconds piled onto minutes that would become hours. An eternity would pass. But all of it was pointless. She remained above, watching, her own living armor around her. Three people, one loud, and two that seemed to stand aimlessly. What were they to do with the remaining soldiers? Was it worth effort? Perhaps it was all a guise. Or maybe she was trying to bargain. "Go home." the voice would speak to them from the wall, away from all of the other ears. He would observe them. "Any further, and the others will murder you in cold blood. It's better you regroup and return with better equipment." A warning cast to them with what little he had in mind. Kasey stood above, her weapon in hand and her body suited up. She was not in perfect state, but one that gave her an edge, from any case would be preferred. Maybe she wanted a really challenge, or perhaps it was a death sentence. There wasn't much for her to act upon. All they could do was wait. And with how they treated her gifts, she had already spun her own opinions about all of the brand new faces. Yet, not a single one had poked their head in that forsaken chatroom before. At least not when it mattered. ~ Word Count: 224 ~ |

Nothing was quite like a good adrenaline rush. Jun knew the situation could easily get much, much worse. They could all meet their end at the hands of further reinforcement. No doubt their current foes had called for them. But would they arrive? Were they so well manned they could quell a zombie outbreak and deal with every instance of villainous activity that assuredly came with such chaos? The uncertainty of it was the best part.
Shuichi's warning shout was much appreciated. Jun immediately responded by throwing himself to the ground onto a sheet of his biomass that carried him as far away as possible before it went off. As an added measure he brought Momo in between himself and the blast. The poor guy was already dead at this point, having served to block the retaliatory spray of bullets from before. The grenade's shrapnel tore into the meat shield, sparing Jun the worst of the blast. His ears rung though. "Well that's aggravating." He muttered as he pulled himself back up with his biomass.
Shuichi barked something again. Jun barely made out enough to realize his intention. He was somewhat disappointed. Sure, it was the most reasonable course of action. But he wanted to indulge in the thrill even longer. But if he were to stay by himself, destruction would go from uncertain to almost assured. Decidedly worse odds than he cared to play with. So he responded with an irreverent "Riiiiight~."
Putting the shredded corpse of Momo to some good use, Jun impaled it with a tendril and pumped a good amount of biomass into it. When the time came to run he would toss the bloated corpse over to where the two elites were sheltered. The biomass inside would expand and upon landing the whole thing would burst violently, with small tendrils grabbing and slashing at the two elites. That should keep them preoccupied for long enough.
