Well Fion was told they'd talk after so he arranged to meet Melody in an area they can chat hopefully without any nosy people trying to figure out what they were saying. Fion was hoping he'd find out why she got so mad at him for some of the stuff he said since it seemed angrier then normal.
He made his way to the same place they had the study session before which was the first place Fion met Melody he thought she was really cute when he first met her he had no idea she had such an angry side. He figured there must have been a reason behind it maybe she used to be bullied or something? Regardless of what happened though he'd make it abundantly clear he had no intention of making her so angry and now just wanted to get to know Melody better.
Fion realized how cheesy it was in his head but really he felt bad whenever someone was down in the dumps and felt obligated to try and cheer them up. Fion could be a real mischievous little shit at times but he genuinely wanted to try and make friends and everyone he could happy he just had stupid methods of doing so. His fight was a pretty big mistake it didn't last long but he could tell if it kept going he'd just get hurt badly. He also know if anyone else accidentally pissed her off there's a chance they wouldn't apologize and avoid being slammed with water which could kill a less durable man.
Hell if it wasn't for Fion's spear he might have seriously been messed up and slammed against a wall his spear de summoned too which means it was a fairly powerful collision. Fion shuddered abit when he considers what could have happened if he wasn't so quick witted in a battle. Fion got to the meeting spot and sat down he wasn't sure how long Melody would take but that was fine she could take her time hopefully she'd be in a good mood though.
Fion stretched his arms at his seat and let out a small yawn..."aaaahhhh....hmm wonder when she will get here?" He was hoping nobody heard him just talk to himself might think he's being a weirdo or something. He checked his phone for the time and it seemed like Melody could show up any minute now.

Melody sighed out loud, she was going to start moving out of the dorm in a few days. She remembered she and Fion had agreed to meet up, she had to explain her irrationality after all to him. It was only fair as she pretty much unfairly took her anger out on him for something he had no idea about. After her recent chat with Nimue she knew she had to resolve some things regarding her personality. She recently knew she could really influence the world around her, which meant sometimes she was going to have to deal with the consequences of her actions.
She got herself dressed appropriately, she put her hair into a high ponytail and looked at her bed as she saw a hoodie she got that was made to resemble pawmight's hero costume..and it was the only thing that wasn't really packed away. So she decided to put it on as it matched her yellow ribbon too. She headed down to the common area where she spotted the boy, she awkwardly smiled at him. Oh god last time she saw him she really did some damage huh? her mind flashed back to the scene she made..the voice she heard in the back of her head.. who was that? She put the thoughts away as she now had to deal with the consequences of her actions staring her in the face.. "H-Hey.." she said with a small wave, oh god she really was NOT good with new people still. Maybe it was because she beat him up pretty bad or her temper kind of made her look pretty unheroic the majority of the time. "Do you still hurt or ache anywhere?" she said reaching into her purse and pulling out a water bottle. "I could heal it if theres any cuts or bruises left over." she said with a small stutter in her voice.

Fion soon heard a pretty cute voice behind him and turned to see Melody he wondered how she could be feeling at the moment but decided he'd respond back with a wave of his own and a cheerful hello. "Hiya you doing all good?" Fion would try and stay cheerful while talking and avoid any sort of teasing since he knew that would end poorly for him.
Fion wasn't shocked when she asked if he till hurt he honestly thought it was sweet she asked but also meant she probably still felt bad about the whole thing which he couldn't blame her he felt bad about how he acted. Fion gave a gentle smile and in a mellow tune explained how he was feeling. "Nope I'm feeling perfectly fine I'm actually relaxed more then anything at the moment so don't worry about me."
Fion could see her pull out a water bottle which both gave him mild worries but also reminded him of the feeling of being healed by her it was a very relaxing feeling to him. "It's really fine I'm more worried about you I was a real ass and shouldn't have talked to you that way."
Fion was feeling pretty shitty since his plan backfired almost completely but they are talking over it now so it also succeed at least hopefully she was able to let out a decent amount of anger on him. Fion stretched his arm abit and kind of motioned for her to come sit down next to him so they could talk fully. "Well you can come sit over here if you like and discuss everything...Honestly if you want can even just vent abit I'm willing to listen to whatever you whanna say."
Fion was really up for anything he just wanted to find out what caused such anger perhaps she was bullied alot? He couldn't really tell but he'd love to figure it out and maybe try to help her with her anger abit.

Fion gave a friendly hello to which melody just nodded back in response to it. She felt a bit off weight come off her shoulders when he assured her that he wasn't really injured. "I'm glad to hear that, I honestly kind of rushed it so I was concerned that I had missed a spot." She said as a slight bit of worry came to her voice. She put the water bottle back in her purse as he apologized for the language he had used in the IC chat that caused this whole issue.
Well that wasn't entirely true, melody was most to blame in her opinion. A bunch of people called her water related nicknames, Evian, water bottle, puddle, and most infamously...wet girl. That last one always struck a chord in her, she had moments where when someone called her that she felt disgusted. It reminded her of how she grew up, the only girl with a quirk in her high-school. Water bottles getting poured on her, people shoving her in the halls. Ignoring her and only speaking to her when they wanted secret favors by using her quirk. She looked as fion walked over to the seating area, confused a bit by the boy's action.
Oh no was this gonna be where she had to talk about it? she really dreaded having to do that, however she owed it to him. She moved over to the seating area, however she was still a bit awkward since he was a new face to her after all. So despite sitting on a couch melody awkwardly shuffled over to as far away from the boy as she could. "S-sure.." she said as her face kind of scrunched up awkwardly.. She still didnt feel used to people yet, not fully becoming the socialite her mother had expected of her.
"Well..I don't even know where to start.." she said kind of delaying the words that she seemed too stubborn to say. "Im..im sorry for how I acted." she said choking it out a bit as she stuttered. "I..its just you're new and while some friends call me wet girl...and I shrug it off for them..I take a lot of offense to that title.." she explained a bit before she awkwardly paused as she started to close herself off again. God why was this so hard? why was it always so hard to explain? There was more she should have apologized for too, she knew that wasn't really the only other reason why she did it.

Fion found how Melody was acting at the moment really cute being all shy and awkward with him it was very different from how she was angry he liked how she was acting now. He was surprised how worried she was about healing him properly must come with being a healer a sense of making sure those you heal are in tip top shape.
He could see her sit down awkwardly a shuffle away from him which made sense Fion figured she just wasn't use to him and likely didn't help being alone with a boy but Fion would help her warm up to him. Then began to story for why what happened happened she seemed fairly quiet and embarrassed but Fion deduced she likely was bullied really poorly when she was younger but she seemed to get quiet maybe it was hard to speak?
Fion felt the need to reassure the girl so he began to talk in a gentle voice. "It's okay I can tell it's hard if you can't it's alright you can tell me when you get more comfortable around me."
Fion did get an idea though she must have been bullied pretty badly when she was younger people likely called her wet girl as an insult and he began to feel pretty bad must have stirred up some bad memories. Fion figured he'd try to lighten the mood abit and got a smile on his face and began to talk in a light hearted but kind tone. "Well we can talk about some fun stuff if you prefer like why'd you decide to come to this school? Why do you want to be a hero?"
Fion was genuinely curious and had hoped it was a fairly cheerful response but he could really never tell with some people what to expect.

Melody sat there, not really knowing what to do with herself. She was so unsure of what to do or what to say to him. She knew that regardless what she said she knew it wouldnt really excuse just beating on him. That's not what a hero should be doing, it was pretty shameful honestly. "No.." she said interrupting him suddenly, her face showed some serious determination she was going to explain herself properly. "You deserve a proper explanation and I need to be brave enough to share it..my past is gonna come up eventually.I have to get used to talking about it." she said. "When I used to live in U.S, I was the only girl in my school to have a quirk. People used to pour water on me, trip me bully me around and stuff. Wet girl was one of the comments they used to make and called me...a specific word that started with W." she said trying to not say the word itself cause it still struck a chord inside of her.
"So, when I saw a new kid around the same age calling me that same word...I got a bit irrational. I'm sorry, you think after all these years i'd be over it but. sometimes I crack." she said giving an apologetic face and bowing before him as was Japanese tradition when apologizing. She looked up when Fion asked her why she wanted to be a hero "Honestly. I just wanted to help? I wanted to be a shining member of society to help quirkers look like humans. I think my music could help with that to..it's why I try so hard." she said turning back away from him and laying back into the couch, staring at the roof. "It's an uphill battle, people purposefully trash on my music because I have a quirk. They think I'll control their mind or some crack pot theory that's baseless."she said keeping her gaze with the roof annoyed at those stupid internet trolls. "What about you? Why did you come to U.A to be a hero?" she asked curiously wanting to know more about fion since he seemed more than just a kid who was a tease. He seemed to make pretty intricate weapons during their fight so maybe he was a weapon buff? She was also kind of curious as to how his quirk worked, it looked like he just made metal weapons out of mid air...and she knew better that magic didnt exist in this world...or did it? she squinted pondering on the conversation she had with elise.

Fion wasn't really expecting Melody to actually tell him what was wrong but it was about what he sort of expected though it didn't help how depressing it was. He couldn't understand being the only person in the school with a quirk but he could understand the pain he dealt with bullies alot in middle school he actually would beat the bullies up whenever he saw them beating up other kids which got him in trouble alot. Fion also knew what it was like being picked on for being different he saw it all the time people are pretty awful to those different to them everyone needed to learn to get along.
Fion decided he'd give a response to Melody saying all that stuff to him it really was a sad story and he wanted to express how he felt. "I really am sorry I never went through any of that myself but I know plenty of people who have and I was usually the only one to stand up for them."
Fion thought it was crazy what she said next about people thinking she will control them with her water as if someone like her would ever do something like that. "Crazy people what do they think you can control the water inside their bodies or something? Some people are really weird and misguided."
He did think her response on why she wanted to be a hero was one alot of people said but he still liked it honestly he liked just talking with someone like this it was nice and relaxing. He wasn't really sure how to respond to her now asking what he wanted but decided he might aswell be truthful about it. "It's cheesy but I just want to protect people and try and get everyone to get along you know?" Fion knew it'd be hard and very naive to try and make people get along but he did hope one day everyone could just get along.

She was glad to hear that he wasn't the type who let someone idly get bullied. There were many people in the world who stood idly by and let others be harassed saying 'oh well he deserved it' or 'they need to learn to defend themselves.' she hated that ideology, those who stood by and let abuse happen were just as bad as the abuser in her eyes. She was surprised to hear however that he never experienced any quirk racism, well with his quirk he didn't really seem like he had an issue with control at all so he could have just not used it in public. He decided to ask her how exactly people thought she manipulated them. She had no idea "Your guess is as good as mine, it's probably just trolls online. I guess your theory isnt so far fetched. Maybe one day I could do that and become the most feared hero, or villain if you piss me off enough” she said looking at him teasing a bit. “Just kidding of course” she said with a small giggle “Even if I could I doubt i could bring myself to ever use an ability like that...it just feels wrong.” she said sharing a bit of her opinion on the matter. She shook her head at him though when he explained why he wanted to be a hero...she sighed a bit “You sound just like me when I was a first year.” she said smiling a bit as she reminisced about when she first came to U.A. She found it kind of cheesy but she offered him advice “it’s not a bad goal.” she said looking up “A lot of people want to be heroes for that reason. Jack probably is the loudest example of that...annoying little shit. but keep in mind as time passes on you could add more to it.” she said, poking fun at jack. She did care for him and enjoyed him but in the back of her mind she always worried how cruel the world could be to him. She did however want Fion to think more about what he could do as a hero aside from just being a protector. “If you manage to make it to the end of U.A. you’re gonna instantly become a celebrity, hell if you think about it some of us already kind of are. You gain a platform to advertise whatever you want so try to add more as time passes on.” she then said reeling herself back to reality “Ah but don't think im insulting it! I just don't want you to make the same mistake i did and not really think about it. You’re gonna get that question a lot so i just wanted to help.” she said as her face became a bit red as the word vomit continued to spill out of her mouth.[break] [break]
"I also worry you'll probably run yourself ragged with a goal like that...it's sweet but sometimes people in this world cant understand one another. Maybe if we did there wouldn't be a need for heroes in the first place." she said staring up at the roof again as she was pondering out loud the what if's of their world. However she had a feeling that Fion wasn't going to take his advice, not now at least but maybe when he's been in U.A a bit longer. He seemed a bit stubborn to her for some reason, maybe it's cause he did remind him of herself. A lot more than she originally thought, hmmm seems like she at least understood him a bit better maybe he wasnt like those online internet trolls like Poemu and the others. She wondered if them being so similar would lead her to understand him better or make it harder for her to accept his behaviors.

Fion stretched abit letting out a small yawn he was a little tired but he was enjoying his conversation so he'd avoid heading to bed quite yet see how much more they'd talk about before then. He soon heard Melody's opinion on what he said about peoples reasons figuring she could control them and was glad she said she'd never try to control someone even if she could.
Fion got a smile on his face to that response and decided to say something about it. "You really are a nice person aren't you Melody?" despite the rough start he honestly felt that way she seemed like she honestly just wanted to be a nice person despite her past which takes a decent amount of strength.
Fion soon got a response to his super cheesy reason for wanting to be a hero and it was about what he expected but it felt worded in a fairly nice way he also laughed abit when Melody called jack an annoying little shit he couldn't really deny he was sometimes that way. Fion understood what she meant and figured he likely would add more onto his goals at some point but for now he'd stick with what he wants until something changes. "That's fair enough and I get that Jack is...special I'll say."
Fion wasn't really sure what he could add on to his goals still but he had time so wasn't like it was any real rush for him at the moment anyway. He wasn't really expecting the whole celebrity comment it was true but Fion didn't care much for fame it would be cool having a bunch of people know him but also he didn't care too much about it. He knew it wasn't really an insulting comment and honestly it did help abit he'd think more on it then he had though he doubted he'd just come up with something on the spot. "Thanks for the advice I'll think about it for sure but nothing will really happen until I get more experiences i feel like."
Then came the one thing that always worried Fion about his goal the fact people sometimes dont understand each other nor do they really want to understand each other it was something he was painfully aware of but he still had hoped it could happen someday even if it was impossible. "That's fair it's something I expect to happen but I can't just give up on it. I know not to tire myself out over it though I'll just do what I can thats all I can do." Fion realized how cheesy he sounded and it was likely all the anime's fault but he's always just been that way his fathers death to someone who didn't understand was part of the reason though.

"I'm not sure if I would go that far honestly..I mean after all I literally beat you up the first time we met in person over a joke." she said chuckling a bit to herself as she laughed off his compliment. She didn't like it when people complimented her, in her mind she wasn't deserving of it. "Special is certainly one way to put it. Ill give you and him that. He's a..really innocent person, it makes me worry for him as a hero, but we'll see he will probably shock us all." she said with a small grin on her face. She looked at Fion a bit strangely, god he is really cheesy...is he an Otaku? Well a lot of kids who came were really into anime so she wouldn't have been surprised in all honesty. I mean from what she gathered so far he was kind of a nerd, all those weapons he summoned looked like things she herself had seen in anime. She didn't want to point it out though as then that would mean she'd have to admit that she herself was a nerd.[break][break]
She was at least glad he said he'd think about it, he'd see in time that she was right. She held the same exact view as him at one point, she wanted to get along with everyone, protect everyone. But before she even came to school it was ruined, she put her hand into her chest and pulled out a locket that was hiding in her jacket. "I was like you at one point, wanted to protect people close to me. But I was too weak, my mother died in a fire before I came to U.A. If I had been stronger I would have been able to save her." she said as she opened the locket and looked at the picture inside. Melody moved it a bit to the right to show fion, if he looked inside he'd see the spitting image of an older Melody. She was holding a small girl who looked like she was old enough to be in kindergarten. [break][break]
"This is the last thing I have of her, she always had her locket with her. It's all I have left of her." she said with a small frown on her face. "I know you're already under a lot of pressure...but things are getting bad recently Fion, you need to protect yourself first before you can protect others ok?" she said with a determined look on her face "I almost died myself in that fire from pushing myself too hard when I wasn't ready." Oh god now SHE was being a bit cringey...why was she opening up so much to Fion? why did she trust him so much? she barely knew him. "UHHH lets change subjects. sorry for bringing that up. who do you want to protect so much? Surely you have someone dear to you who encouraged you to come." she said trying to quickly move the subject away from herself. God why did she keep word vomiting so damn much?

Fion was surprised at Melody she clearly wasn't used to compliments if her first response was claiming she isn't nice beacuse they fought to him fighting wasn't really anything mean he honestly despite the circumstance viewed it as a friendly match. "Hmm I think of it as a third year teaching a first year a lesson more then you beating me up." Fion knew she likely wouldn't view it in that way at all but it was a way to make it sound less awful then it really was.
Fion did agree about the innocent thing it was pretty often someone would say something lewd or weird and Jack wouldn't know what their saying like the time Bura talked about vore that was rough. "Yea Had explain a few things to the guy in chat before especially the time Bura randomly talked about vore..." Fion let out a laugh though since really some of the people in the school he was amazed how innocent they were not knowing so much stuff.
Then Fion could hear Melody talking about her mother dying in a fire and sounded like she was blaming herself for it he could understand those feelings but he felt the need to say something regardless. "I know how you feel really I do feeling helpless or weak but thats why I want to help anyone I can you know?"
Fion could soon see a locket and when he peered inside saw the picture Melody really looked alot like her mother it must have been really hard losing her but Fion also knew the pain of losing a family member all too well. "I understand that but I'll still try to protect someone to weak to protect themselves over myself if I can."
she soon began to ask Fion who he wanted to protect and why he came to the school somewhat it was something he would ponder he wanted to protect his family and those close to him but what really encouraged him in the first place. "Hmm Well I guess I want to protect my mom? Though she isn't who encouraged me to come honestly I made that decision on my own."

Melody dropped the subject of trying to lighten her being mean and rude to Fion upon their first meeting. He seemed like the type who was too stubborn to just let her have her way, and while she was stubborn as well she just wanted to drop the subject about herself altogether, it was a subject she tended to dislike discussing. She moved on to talking about jack, a very opinionated subject. She hadn't been there at all for the sudden vore discussion, it sounded so ridiculous that even melody let out a small chuckle herself. "Yeah, I suppose I can understand that. it'd be hypocritical of me not to." she said in return " Then i guess that's what would make you a really good hero huh?" she said as she closed the locket and put it back in place. "Most people would argue that they should prioritize saving themselves as a hero because they could live on and save others but...surprisingly enough I disagree." she continued "You'd have to live with the fact that you let someone die every day to save yourself hypothetically. It's not even a thing a hero should question honestly. We risk our lives for others...in my opinion that forms the basis of a hero." she said plainly enough, it was rare for her to get so riled up though on subjects like this [break][break]
"How did your parents feel about you coming to U.A?" she said "My mother was against it at first but she had changed her mind after I bothered her enough about how badly I wanted it." she said remembering those arguments now with a hint of sadness and longing. "What kind of people are your parents? Out of curiosity." she asked curiously since melody had never even met her dad and only knew his name. She also wondered what kind of people would raise an internet troll like Fion who also desired to become a pro hero. She wondered if his mother was like her own, a strict religious woman who wasn't the most comforting person.

Fion felt like they had pretty similar ideals which was a good thing since his opinion on most third years were currently not the highest based on some of the stuff they say but he's glad at least one has good ideas and such maybe the others were just as good and just putting up some kind of weird tough guy act. Fion was a little surprised being told his ideals would make him a pretty good hero he was glad to here it since when he was younger he was always told he'd be too idealistic to be a hero or that he'd fail at it.
He could soon hear her saying alot of people would prioritize saving themselves something he could never agree with yea you should never try to put yourself in a situation where your life is in danger but you should also not abandon someone in need. "I agree with you saving yourself but letting several others die isn't exactly heroic."
Then came an interesting question how his parents felt about him coming to the school he knew his mom took some convincing she was pretty worried but ultimately and if he were alive Fion thinks his dad would agree with it wholeheartedly at least thats what his mom made him think.
"My mom was super worried but I convinced her eventually dunno how my dad would have felt he passed away about ten years ago now. But as for what they are like my mom is a fairly nice lady some would say too nice but also worries about other people way more then herself. I dont remember much about my dad honestly but my mom says he was a really good guy."
Fion did miss his dad but he was pretty young when it happened but he was mostly over it besides the guy who stabbed him was brought to justice and is now spending life in prison.

"yeah it isnt. it's a bit tricky, I meant protect yourself if no one else is at risk. If someone is then I think it'd be pretty heroic." she said clarifying her stance on that discussion. As Fion went on to talk about his father, her heart sank. So he was much more like her than she initially thought huh? Melody listen to her honestly, she related cause she never even met her father. Honestly with everything that had been going on she wasn't even sure if she wanted to meet him, what if he became in danger cause they met? What if he was the danger? She had no idea. Well there was no point in really dwelling on it right now since she was safe inside of U.A's campus.
They had kind of similar parents, Melody's mother was a kind woman as long as melody had done what she requested. "I'm glad you were able to convince her. She sounds like a lovely woman." melody said as she gave a small smile to Fion "I don't remember my own dad, so I guess you can say I never really met him either?" she said as she explained "My mom said he was around for my baby years, but after I became a toddler he had to leave to Japan for work. He never returned and my mom refused to tell me anything else, maybe she knew or she didn't. I have no idea." she said explaining her strange family situation, for her it was normal but to people she usually explained it to it was a very strange set up. "He always provided for us though! Fion could understand Melody's reasoning it made sense if alone to try and save yourself but at the same time might be pretty hard if alone he actually believed in a buddy system some kind of backup but that of course also had it's own flaws. He did consider that sidekicks are basically that buddy system something he'd have to think about at some point becoming someone sidekick in the future maybe he'd just bug Perry about it when the time comes. "I get that one hundred percent."
He then got to learn more about Melody's family situation which sounded pretty depressing since besides her mother being dead she knew nothing about her own father which was honestly something Fion didn't expect he figured she must have lived with her father or something. He did listen intently to what she had to say and it did make him wonder a few things he left for work and just abandoned his wife and child which didn't really sit right with Fion why didn't her dad take them with him? Was he doing something shady or illegal maybe he was a hero or something though he never heard of any heroes sharing her last name it was all weird regardless Fion decided to chirp in with a somewhat silly idea. "Well if he's here in japan whanna try and look for him? I can help if you like I'm pretty good at meeting people's missing family members apparently."
Fion was mostly saying it as a joke but he would be willing to help might be a fun distraction trying to figure out who Melody's dad is or maybe more about her family maybe she has siblings she doesn't know about or something. "I'm curious do you have any siblings?" An innocent question meant to see if maybe she had some siblings that would know more about her father or something to that effect.
