She was tired of the games. She was tired of playing around. She was tired of the paperwork and the forms that came with keeping the front she had. The security of a secret council. The power of hidden investors. The wealth that backed her investments and plans. The history of a long lived company that could not fail. There was a lagacy to uphold, and it wasn't just about making profits. It was about keeping appearances up. It was a Ketsujo specialty to play both sides of the same coin. To play a helpful business owner who cared about the people, and a criminal who ended lives. She dawned the same attire she had gotten used to, though only for tonight, did she switch up the colors. A bright white suit, a blue shirt to match the open sea. It was a contrast to the sunset that cast the brilliant orange and violet hues over the horizon. Her hair loose as it rested where it may, upon her shoulders. Her lips painted black as a mask made from the same membrane that covered her skin; bone. She had taken a page out of Thundershock's book, taking the time to experiment and find a new fashion choice. Perhaps the more opposite of herself she could get, the better. Her shirt half buttoned as the bandages held her chest together. She wasn't aimlessly wandering. She was here to meet someone. Someone brave enough to parade their own name, rather than an alias; Niso. Maybe she could find herself a new ally, or a partner. She doubted someone like him would follow orders as an employee. And with his history and behavior, it wasn't like offering him a new identify would prove any worth. If anything, she had information, and he had the will. A fair trade. The question was, where was he? ~ Word Count: 311 ~ |

They'll meet in Tokyo, she said... hehe. Niso actually kind of admired how stupidly vague that had been. Of course they'd had an at least somewhat structured arrangement made since then but even so their meeting space was still very vague, and with Niso having never seen the woman in person before... at least, he assumed it was a woman, he was left swinging his legs idly along one of the rooftops as he looked out over the street and alleyways below for anyone who seemed to fit the bill... Army of Bones... surely that should be-
... Oh. Oh PLEASE don't let it be that stupidly simple... oh my god this was gonna be rich if he was right but... still, he should approach it cautiously. The woman with the skull mask may just purposely be too obvious a target. Slipping off his little rooftop hideaway he scuttled down the outside of a fire escape, dropping down along the railings along the outside rather than bothering to use the ladder or the stairs, a light crunching pop coming from his legs when he finally hit the ground, and seeming to almost play in reverse as he straightened out his legs, popping out his back a little too as he loosened up in the process, patting his cheeks as he walked out of the alleyway, subtly shifting and contorting it into a new form.
"Oh! Miss!" Chiming over to the skull masked lady in the distance, Niso took on a chipper expression as he rubbed his hands together. "Sorry to be rude but I seem to be a little lost...." He turned about in a twirl on his heels before flowing into his next step, trying to put on the simple act of a lost and confused tourist, or even a local to Tokyo who'd just never seen this neighbourhood. "Would you happen to know the nearest bar? I was supposed to meet a friend in this part of tooooown so I can only assume they meant to pick one of the local bars... I mean what dunderhead would be so vague as to just pick any old vague neighbourhood right?~"
Now of course the disguise wouldn't last long, but Niso was always one for a bit of a gag and silly humor even if he was a murdering psychopath at his core, so why not give this odd woman a taste of that?

Alright. Let's be real for a moment. Kasey had made it to where she was because she was strong, because she didn't give up, because she never stopped pushing. If you factored in her brain power, well, she'd still be at the bottom. Fortunately, working hard, and going around Japan and meeting people translated into power for her. If it was anything to do with her intelligence level, she would still be another person living on the streets. In a way, she still was. Where was he? Where the fuck was she? It didn't occur to her until late that she never set a place, only a time and general location. The steps in the distance as she lifted up her phone for a quick glance. Long spider like tendrils from her nails clicking away at the pad sending the message. [Army of Bones @ Niso:] Name any location, and I will be there.Perhaps a little too late. He didn't seem like the patient type. But the sounds of the metal rubbing and sliding against each other with the movement upon them, caused her to look up, and see the figure approach her. She extended her left hand to her side, opening her palm, the thin coating of bones over her skin, a protective membrane forming the shape of a sheathed katana in her hand. For now, it was nothing more than a prop, or a cane. No one would be foolish to drop on her for an attack, and she didn't expect something to be so reckless. But it didn't mean she was going to let her guard down. The end of the weapon rested on the cold ground as her hand held onto the handle, supporting her weight as the long object rose above her waist. The sounds of what could have been bones breaking, or popping did raise her interest in the figure. Could have been mad, but could have been the puppet boy she was looking for. After all, they were all notorious for coming up with clever names. But who pulled his strings? She spoke, her own tone laced with Setsuna's own. The sound of what could have been a few people, spoke aloud from within her. "Depends. There's many bars just that way." her right and empty hand would jerk a thumb behind her. She would take a step to the side, allowing him to move past if he wanted to. But she had the feeling it wasn't going to play out that way. "Sounds like your friend is able to spot you from a ways away, if there wasn't a location." she said, observing, guessing, trying to put things together. It would be really convenient if he was who she was looking for. The silence of the night blessed her thus far, but how far would her boons take her? "Whose your friend? Perhaps I can point you in their direction." she started, wondering if the next name to come out of his mouth would be her own, or if he would pass off the entire question all together. The world was a strange place. ~ Word Count: 518 ~ |

Niso chuckled in the back of his throat as the woman seemed to be just playing along with the act, having realized she probably noticed him dropping down from the roof, meaning both individuals were likely to be on the ‘up and up’ on what exactly was going on between them here, Niso’s sly little smile creeping further up his cheeks as he rested his hands in his pockets, even an entirely different face finding it difficult to suppress his chesire like grin.
“Oh well it’s less a single friend more like him and his army” He teased with a smug ass smile, finding even such simple turns of phrase to be plenty humorous. Afterall unlike his disguise when dealing with Freya, right now he was just putting on another face for a silly gag, so why take it all that seriously? “Though ya know what I’m sure they wouldn’t have minded grabbing a drink while they’re waiting for me. Perhaps you’d be so kind as to tug on my strings and lead me to the nearest shady ass bar hm?~” He teased with a warm smile as he offered his hand out for the woman to take, though in part he had no expectation that she’d actually take it, but he felt he’d made himself almost stupidly obvious to her to take the hint they should probably go somewhere more private if she just wanted to talk…~

God, was she like this? Was she this creepy when she was young? So easily amused by simple wordplay and teasing of other conversation. So enticed by words and the promise of company for a simple exchange. Or perhaps, he wasn't like her at all. He seemed twisted, touched by some power of being, or just touched in the head. It was hard to say. The smile, didn't help. Strings? Was he playing with her? Surely he was. As he extended his hand, she lifted hers in reply abit reluctantly. "well, I'm here to find a real boy and not someone who can easily have their strings pulled." She would say aloud, and after he got the handshake he wanted, would tuck her hand into her pocket as her other still held onto the weapon. "But I suppose we can find a stop on the way there, perhaps our interests will align"She wasn't one who understood phrases and sayings. Most often they went over her head. Things were taken literally and at face value. Strings? Puppet? Pinocchio. A single person and their army? That meant either he was referring to Caitlyn, which meant trouble, or herself, as an army of bones. All he needed now, was to name a bone in the human body, and it would be enough to confirm, but that would be no fun. She tapped the end of the sheathed weapon on the ground. "King, come out. Assist me." A call out, a declaration of what was to come. A simple skeleton would crawl from the length of the weapon, his bones as pure white as they could be, as if he was polished. He would stand just a bit shorter than the woman, and he would crawl from the weapon as if it was a small portal of sorts. He would not speak, but as he rose, would only drift a dozen feet ahead of her, acting as her scout. "Now, does it have to be a shady bar, or will any old shit hole do?"~ Word Count: 345 ~ |

As they met hands and the woman used their quirk, Niso felt he had enough confirmation to stop going on silly pretenses and word games, Niso following behind them as the skeletal scout led the way, following a step behind Kasey themselves as their face shifted and contorted, the sharp sound of jaw bone popping into its usual place, no longer rearranged by muscle and flesh. His voice came out, equally youthful but with a different edge to it, oddly seeming more educated in it's tone despite Niso's origins, his typical face coming back into the frame.
"Well if it's a real boy you want... the name's Niso. And he'll make do with any old shit hole.~" He chimes with a cheeky smile spreading across his features, reaching a hand to his shoulder and rolling back his shoulder as he loosened up his joints, ensuring that he didn't lock up later from his transformation now, speaking more boldly and bluntly as it seemed the two readily knew who the other was. "So, what has you wanting to meet me army of bones...?~ Most people, even most villains want to avoid me... not that I can blame them...~" he let out a somewhat proud chuckle at that fact.

Pinocchio. Niso. A hard name to forget. A harder one to forget, when it seemed that the Painter had taken a liking to him, or to some extent. Her own absence left some questions. Were they really together? If that was the case, and if the Painter really did have actual feelings, she would have to hold back, careful not to sever her ties. But in the event of him being far more than she bargained for, was she ready to go to that length? "Well, that certainly makes things easier." Her voice, the same modified tone, but this time spoken from the scout before her, and not from her own body. A smile on Kasey's lips. She would turn to face him, in a sort of half between walking forward and at her side. She kept an eye on him. "Army of Bones. Though, I assume you know that by now." she spoke, from herself, the same voice that echoed between both bodies. "I prefer to make the allies of my allies, my own allies. Makes for less of a mess later when I need to know who is on whose side." She would look around, the skeleton before her, Setsuna, would direct them to the right, leading to a somewhat familiar place to Kasey. A shitty old bar full of random thugs too scared to say anything about a walking skeleton. The Necromancer, as some referred to the woman, which, in a way wasn't wrong. "I help the Painter, and if she aids you, then I will seek to aid you as well." She would say with a half bow, the skeleton would hold the door open for the pair of them to enter, Kasey stepping to the side to bow to allow him first entry. "Though, I imagine someone of your sorts could care less of business ties like that. You seem more... in the moment of things."~ Word Count: 321 ~ |

Niso’s brow rose as the skeleton seemed to speak in Army of bone’s place, curious as to how exactly her quirk worked. Was this in some way her skeleton just displaced due to their quirk or where they just some grand puppet master of calcium and marrow? Hard to tell from a glance or even a casual observance but suffice to say Niso was intrigued. Especially by the idea that this woman may genuinely be a necromancer of some sort as he was potentially going to hear some hushed whispers about soon. “Well isn’t that a fancy little trick. Maybe I should just call you the puppet master instead?~” He offered a teasing grin and a sly chuckle as he continued to follow behind, amused by how the eye-less skeleton seemed to be able to guide them through the streets and alleyways as a scout.
At the mention of his love the Painter Niso was once again mildly surprised. He and his love didn’t exactly share everything so surprises were not exactly a rude realization, but all the same it was not something he’d expected to hear today. Kasey seemed relatively ‘new’ to the scene afterall, and Luzia tended to brag about any and every positive interaction she had in the criminal world… was the meeting with Army too recent for him to hear about? Too boring too dull? He’d have to ask her later but the idea that this woman thought the Painter was there ally already… he smiled behind his lips, more subtle this time. She was trying to figure out if he was on her side too. Even with his devotion to the Painter however he knew they were both on THEIR side. If Kasey where to ever twist away from what one of the two delighted in she’d swiftly be cut from their allegiances…
Buuuut… no reason to tell her that.
“Well you’re certainly a busy bee if you have time to meet all your friends of friends.~” He smiled somewhat cheekily, dipping his head to the skeleton as he entered past them. While Niso’s baby faced features shouldn’t be scary, his own arrival would cause at least a few whispers and cautious words, Niso’s smugness only growing as he noticed this and moved to a booth in the back of the room. He wasn’t one of the greatest villains by any means… but he’d left his scar on a fair chunk of the underworld. Sliding into his chosen booth without a world till Army joined him.
“You’d be right. Business ties aren’t really my ‘thing’ to say the least. I love my beautiful painter for her reckless abandon when taking the lives of those who insult her and the beauty with which she decorates their corpses. She doesn’t see what I see in her a lot of the time, but truly I believe her to be chaos incarnate much like myself… if you wish to make some arrangement we can certainly talk bout I’m not about to lie and tell you you’re about to get everything you want…~”

Acts, all part of a greater play. Moves, all made in a larger game. Pieces to a larger puzzle. All of the little moments that people would never clarify or discuss with one another. The idea of any of them turning against her and using the gathered intelligence against her, to exploit her did excite her to some extent. But in a way, it was fear, and fear was the reason it happened in the first place. "That title is reserved for my employer." she would say, the long weathered title of Sato himself, one retired, and removed from the long list of villains. A name, perhaps only she still remembered. But the strings left behind may have been cut, but still were there, just much harder to pull. "That's how things work. If she is cooperative, and helpful in her own regards, then I don't see why you won't be." She said half jokingly, "Though, I suppose money isn't something you would need, to get your attention." Money, a small bribe, though, in the act of it, wasn't explained why. To buy her attention? To make a point? She didn't need to know that Kasey had used her as a scapegoat to protect her own image. All an act. An act, she continued to play a part in. She would slide into the booth, only to reach out to the skeleton. She would tap him with the weapon, and as he was created, would vanish before them. "I have mostly everything I want." she would say with a smile, "I have far more interest knowing what others want. I may not be able to procure everything, but helping others live their lives, and to the best of their abilities, just helps me plant the seeds of chaos that will soon bloom into madness." A laugh, before she calmed down. "Though, I don't suppose she's mentioned me much." she was curious. If that woman even so mentioned Army of Bones the interaction would have been very different. Or perhaps it was all a game to him. Maybe he knew all along, and only wanted to see what she was willing to say or do. "But I'm curious to what you see in her, not as a lover, but otherwise." She would rest her head upon her folded hands as she leaned forward. "The way she does things is just, so very interesting. Is it not?"~ Word Count: 406 ~ |

Niso narrowed his gaze… he’d gone so long without someone speaking on his level, on his wavelength, that… to finally have someone speaking his language like this was unnerving. He was suspicious of it but also welcoming. It was an odd mix of emotions to say the least and not one that felt entirely unpleasant. This woman either thought like he did on some level in which case he was all the more interested… or she was trying to play one of those manipulative games the so called ‘classy’ villains tried to run by the mooks. In which case he’d be very happy to BURN her when the opportunity arose… but why not play the game for now.
“Your right, money’s not really my thing but chaos… very much so… I’m sure we have different ideas of what that means but to say the least you have my attention.” He leaned idly over the table between them with a sly smile curling up his lips, cutting into his cheeks an unnatural amount. “What exactly do you hope to bring when you speak of chaos? Are you just looking for entertainment or are you one of those with some grand goal behind your actions?”
As to the question of his own motivations, specificially regarding his lovely painter… Niso tapped his fingertips together as his eyes drifted in though. Truth be told as much as he’d adapted to her habits the notion of sex still revolted him on some level so he was glad he didn’t have to talk about that from the get go. More about her personally. “I think, even though she may be yet to realize it herself… she is exactly the kind of person I want! She takes what she wants without a care, she kills those who get in her way, insult her, hurt her… and she does it all with an artistic beauty no sane mind would ever leave in it’s wake.~ She’s imaginative, creative, held back only by her own fears of what she could be… where I want to be immortal, live forever, physically… she wants a legacy. She wants to burn her name onto the earth in some way so that long after she dies she will never be forgotten. I admire that. And I wanna be there when she finally scorches the last letter of her name onto the surface of this wretched little rock… to me that’s a sense of ambition I can get behind, even if her methods needs some refining…~”

The screen wasn't a safety network. It was the most unsecured way for criminals to get their thoughts across. Many blurted out their ideals, their frustrations and plans. It wasn't hard to catch one, and store it for later. People were easy to read, easy to understand. Some were their for fame, for fortune, others just for the sake of the madness. She understood Crow's intentions. To watch the man grow more and more angered at the use of an alias, rather than his true name to the public, was one that had already told the woman all she needed to know. He was man, on the verge of insanity if he wasn't already. He was the perfect person. He was the ideal choice. "Everyone has goals. Sometimes, they are entertainment, sometimes the show you watch is just a byproduct." Human lives. They were mortals, bound by simple restrictions. They all deserved to die. Those with newfound abilities would surpass current civilization and rise to the top. Those with powers unfathomed would lead an era of people who could never stand to their standards. It was truth. But it wasn't just the simple lives that were meant to end, but those who were unwilling to contribute to the new utopia. Those that needed to die. The souls who could pass judgement, to usher the new age, they would be spared, albeit, temporarily to at least witness the new glory, before they too, would meet their end. "A legacy worth leaving behind, I can support that. Though, immortality, may perhaps prove to be a much simpler, and more obtainable goal" she would speak, musing over the details. "Well, simply put, heroes are too confined in rankings and statistics. The only way to bring about true madness, is to prove to them, how pointless it all is. You can't measure chaos.
Their top, proves us nothing, it's all a popularity contest, don't you think?"~ Word Count: 323 ~ |

Niso felt the woman had some flowery language to her but he could at least appreciate the message they were trying to get across. His curiosity was peaked when she mentioned immortality being the more obtainable goal, chuckling in disbelief and shaking his head. “With a quirk like mine I’m practically there already, but I’m definitely curious what you mean. Would you offer the average criminal an ‘easy path to immortality?’ Or does my quirk give you a handicap you can work with?~” He chimed with a delicious grin. He was eager to learn what she might know of him if anything too. He tried to keep the inner workings of his quirk under wraps, but by now his durability and healing were likely very common knowledge at the very least.
Still, their words were fleeting between them and Niso was looking for some meat in this conversation, yawning loudly as he reared his arms up and behind his head, shrugging casually to her fancy words. “Maybe not, but I like to see if I can try. The more things break down and the more people act as they desire rather than as society decides for them… the higher chaos is to me. Right now with a prison outbreak, drugs in public circulation, MARINE, sabotage, subterfuge… it’s at an all time high. I’m just always looking for more.~”

Mortals. They were bound by simple laws. Kasey's own marrow housed hundreds of different samples taken and absorbed. All of it consumed and stored away. She would reach around to get a larger empty glass from another, vacant table, and put it between them. She lifted her left hand over it, and with the swipe of her right thumb, cut deep into her palm, the blood spilling and pouring into the cup. "The question is which state of immortality do you seek? Ageless? To not be killed by normal means?" She watched the blood spill. "When you have a body that heals from wounds faster than normal humans can hurt you, are you not already on the path there?" She would question, the wound already beginning to close up. The blood slowing down as it would begin to clot up from her palm. Each drop preventing another then another, then another... "If you truly want chaos, all you have to do is prove the masses wrong." She smiled, "What would you do, if one of the most feared people in this world was brutally murdered by a force you didn't know about?" laughter spilled from her. "People spent so long thinking Thundershock is the biggest threat. If only you could think of the fear among the people to reveal someone's true power like that. Only to take down other namesakes, going down the list of heroes." The cup was reaching the rim, and with it, the wound would begin to close, her skin beginning to heal, and before she could end her words, the wound was gone. The cup, filled to the very top with blood, from a wound no longer present. A cup, filled with a dozen souls, all forgotten, and not missed. People that didn't matter. "Of course, the idea of madness is not always a straight path. It's all just a concept."~ Word Count: 315 ~ |

Niso’s brow rose to one side with a curious expression as the woman before him began to sink her own blood into an empty glass. He’d met some odd individuals before sure, he’d met one plenty of times in the mirror even but something about army of Bones was especially… off. She didn’t seem to ‘think’ on the same plane of existence as most people around her. She seemed inherently theatrical, a trait that Niso himself wouldn’t really use against her, but at the same time it was so… poetic. It didn’t sit well with him. Niso felt he saw the world for what it was. Broken, shattered, a messy pit that too many people tried to pretend was something else… even if Kasey was seeing the same thing as him it was through rather rose tinted glasses to treat it with such a flowery approach.
“Is all of the above a fitting answer?” He joked with a smirk, watching the glass continue to fill before finally chuckling as he gestured to it loosely. “What’s this now? About to propose some fantasy level blood pact?” He’d tease with a wide smirk, shaking his head as he leaned back in his seat.”Nothing I’ve ever done has killed me but… well I suppose everyone has the right to say that. The point being is that as far as I’m aware the typical downsides of aging have yet to strike me, and there’s never been a wound I can’t heal…I don’t believe I’m truly immortal yet, but I feel I’m closer than most worms on this rock.~” He smiled nice and wide, taking pride in what was effectively just the luck of the draw at his birth… briefly he wondered what had him end up at St Martas. He was a practically unbreakable child, still un- No. Not the time. He maintained his ever distance gaze and smile, meeting Kasey’s own.
“As far as what I consider chaos, I determine it to be every human fulfilling every base urge they have at any moment. To stop listening to that part of their brain that tells them what is right and wrong but instead listening to that guttural instinct that tells them what they truly have an urge to do regardless of the consequences, but with the mind to face those consequences with the same visceral instinct as they had to accrue them. I mean I’m hardly one to shirk my consequences buuuut… if the other people just aren’t skilled enough to force me to endure them that’s there own fault.” He shrugged and leaned back. “That’s what chaos is to me, society resorting to it’s base instincts rather than fake niceties just so that we all get to live a little bit longer or a little bit happier. Everyone should be able to indulge themselves to the fullest, become the happiest they can be, reach an apex, a peak… and if the world so decides around them, come burning down like a fiery phoenix, one that is never to rise from it’s ashes…~”
heh, maybe he had a poetical side too…~

The spill of blood was symbolic in most senses, and especially now. That being said, with all of the new cells made fresh, she questioned how much of it really was her own, and not just the empty leftovers from someone who was long since passed. Just the remains within her body, waiting to be removed over time. Part of it was poetic, a story to be told to others. A tale to share over a campfire, or before bedtime. Part of it was her playing the part, another persona waiting to be danced with, a mask waiting to be worn. But with it, the truth of her madness. Which aspect of her was really who she was? How much of it was pretend and how much of it was reality? Did Kasey know? Well, no one could really know. Especially not with someone who talked to themselves, and the voices inside their head. As the cup was filled, her fingers latched onto the sides of the glass, like a claw that brought her reward towards her. She would lift it to her own lips before taking a drink. Waste not, want not. "A dance around words." she thought to herself. "A dangerous dance with death." he would reply. The drink would slip down her throat, only to spill a few down her chin, drops falling upon her shirt. "Humans are simple creatures. They either have to evolve, or adapt. The rest are just playthings waiting to be dissected." she would tell him, "Remove the illusion of order, and mankind will return to as it should be. All it takes is the fall of their prized hero, and their great evil, only to show them how wrong they were." Killing him, it was her plan, but it wasn't her goal. No, it seemed as if he wanted something else. But what could Kasey offer him? ~ Word Count: 316 ~ |
