[copy paste intro. don't count for the wordcount but feel free to read for context] Was Mia disappointed when she was told she couldn’t run combat classes at UA? Sure. Was she absolutely devastated? Fuck nah. There was more she could do to entertain herself outside this place’s lesson plan than just getting the kids to give her an excuse to punch them back. She wasn’t a teacher, she wasn’t designed to be in her head, and she kinda felt sorry for everyone in 3A, apart from Jaz of course, who was stuck with her for the coming year…
Still. She had to make an effort somewhere right?
Wanting to see if she could take a stab at things Mia had posted up on the UA notice boards some sign up sheets for lessons hosted by here. She’d gotten 3 different ideas and wanted to see how they might work as official lessons going forward by trying them out with smaller, taster samples first. Classes of about 3, maybe 4 students in size and she hoped each of them would seem appealing enough to take up in the kids free periods rather than just slacking off in their homerooms…
Now either her ideas had been really good or Mia kinda under-estimated how popular she was gonna be as a teacher here. With the impression kids like Jaz and Reddarc gave her she figured the population of fans to ‘im just gonna be my own hero’ was probably like, 20-80 or something, but she’d still managed to get what felt like damn near half the school population signing up for one idea or another…. And she had to be the one to sort it all out…
Fuuuuun…?
Okay, so she could do this. Just… figure out who wants what, make a quick spreadsheet, try and divide it evenly… a lot of kids liked idea 1 so that was getting the most by far anyway… then try and level out the class sizes and… Okay. She felt like she had some sets here.
The next day the students each received emails on the free periods they’d been booked for and where to be, as well as a sense of what they were in for. Mia had to make sure she just didn’t end up boring the pants off of them when they were there.
========================================================
Aaaaand onto the first idea she’d had… right. As lovely as this idea was, and really, in her head, this sounded like she’d just invented the concept of buttering toast or something it was that good… she worried the most about this being something she could pull off. She really was engaged with the general concept of it she REALLY was, she loved the idea of getting the kids to tell her about their quirks, learning about them, learning their weaknesses and heck, if she could, somehow turning those into glorious advantages but… ah shit she really didn’t think she could do this. She could help like, kids do this, in her crowds. Talking about their quirks to her and being able to make them feel empowered. You have a quirk that makes you a human water fountain!? That’s badass 8 year old tyke! You have a quirk that makes other people see what you see? And your almost blind? HECK YEAH BLIND SOME BAD GUYS! This though… these were trained kids who knew their quirks inside and out. Most of them at least. She just… She really didn’t wanna be disappointing. But hey. Most of them were probably expecting it. It wasn’t like her own quirk was anything special in the grand scheme of things. Okay okay… no doom and gloom to face the kids with. She steeled herself up a bit and rolled back her shoulders. She’d booked one of the training halls so the kids could use their quirks freely, instructed to come in UA tracksuits cause she wanted to see their quirks at their absolute base form, BUT, she did allow for some like, stand out cases. She knew some kids couldn’t use their quirks at all without some gadget or doo-dad to help, but those were the only exceptions she was gonna allow. She’d wait for them by the entrance, offering a light smile and an offer of a high five to the kids who entered… lowering it to a medium five for anyone who needed it. “Hey. Come in. Take a seat we’ll get down to business in a sec.”

"Quirk positivity" Katou wasn't sure why he signed for this class entirely. He knew others told him to be positive of his quirk instead of always putting himself down do to it. But Katou found it hard to be confident when he is reminded of how ugly he is every day. All these kids with quirks looked so ordinary, while he is here looking like he does, a monster. But a part of him wants to try and find some semblance of pride in himself, even if it's fake a lie to himself to make others feel better about himself.
So Katou let out a heavy sigh from his tightening chest as he flattened his tracksuit to looks satisfactory, not that he ever felt presentable to anybody's eyes. But this tracksuit was tailored for him as there are wing holes in the back as well a hole for his massive tail. With his outfit secured and prepped Katou as quietly as he could, make it to the training area with the teacher "Redhorn" was located.
When Katou entered the training area, he was welcomed to a shocking sight that nearly caused him to run away, but the fight and flight response was pushed down to a neutral expression and feeling as he calmed himself down. This Woman was massive, even taller than he was, and her muscles-were something else. He felt so small and weak compared to her. Katou froze up on the spot as she raised her hand which Katou was not accustomed to except in one manner, Katou stopped and watched her raised hand with such intensity that one would expect his stare to be drilling holes into her meaty hands. It took the boy perhaps a moment too long to realize that Redhorn wasn't intending to---but rather to give him what he saw his classmates do what they called a high five.
After a moment of sputtering and looking embarrassed, Katou gave the titan of a woman a high five with perhaps a little too much force. As he gave her a high five, he bowed and silently ran where she told him to take a seat. With his massive tail, the seat was uncomfortable at best and straining under his weight at worst. So Katou awkwardly sat there, looking at every direction except at Redhorn-sensei, since he felt like he made a fool of himself for his failure to register her high five right away.

Redhorn teaching at UA for her final year is the last thing she expected from what happened. But it doesnt change the fact that this is still a pretty cool lesson she signed up for. She never looked at her quirk in a positive sense as it was only as she saw it as an extension of herself. More a ways to fight and her own natural ability rather than seeing it as its own separate entity. Perhaps this lesson will help her realize its potential and to see it more than what it is. Maybe this new way of thinking is going to help her get stronger in the long run.
Nevertheless, excitement was visible as Feng put on her training outfit and ran to the training facilities. One can say she has a spring to her step as now she is gonna get some guidance from the city's number one hero. She had the honor of working with her in an internship, and boy was that a learning experience. Barring certain...things but nonetheless, she can get some well needed improvements if she gets some words of advice from her again.
She also signed up knowing a certain...someone is also going to be there. She got the OK from her friend to try and oh so many times she is trying. But….it's a bit hard to do it nonetheless. Maybe doing this lesson and clearing her head will give her some more ideas. Hoping it doesn't distract her from the actual reason she is there.
She made her way towards facilities and saw the aforementioned hero standing there with an offer of a high five. As strong as she remembers her and her muscles were a sight to behold, she was the living example of what she aspires to be. Her gaze was fierce and welcoming as she looked on and of course Feng was determined to impress her with all she's got. Of course, she takes a running start and goes for the high five because she was offering and why the fuck not. It reverberated through the gym as she landed and took a breath of fresh air. The high five was her form of greeting as she needed no other words to describe what she was feeling. Also she saw that she wasn't the first one there. Rather nervous looking lad at that, she waved in greeting and used her quirk to jump to the top row of the bleachers.
No deep meanings or anything, she just likes to feel tall. Now to wait for the others and await further instruction.

Well....This'll be fuckin interestin, alright. Red thought to himself, making his way over to one of the UA training halls in just his tracksuit for once. It was....weird, to say the least. Not just the fact that he didnt have his gear on him, but the fact that he was gonna be gettin a lesson from Red horn. He'd heard that she was gonna be 3-A's home room teacher, which meant that once again, the A class got the fun teacher, while class C was stuck with bloody Junko. Miss No Fun Allowed. It was gonna be even worse for him nowadays thanks to him accidentally winning class prez.....cause now she probably had standards for him.....Boy this year was gonna be fun..........
But enough of that, now he was gonna get to have an actual fun teacher to work with. He'd never figured that Mia'd ever be a teacher, but now she was here for....whatever reason. He wasnt sure if she'd actually said the reason she'd be teaching, other than UA was short handed or something but....eh. She was here now, and he already knew she was chill, so he'd probably be fine......even if her "no gear allowed" restriction make him feel really fuckin weird right now.
See, Red pretty much never took his gear off. Call it paranoia, but he always wanted to be prepared in case someone jumped him and he needed to defend himself. Call it an old habit from the days before UA, but Red had no intention of dropping it anytime soon. It'd saved his arse a number of times, and it'd probably keep doing that til the end of time or something.....but, if he wanted to help Mia do a test session or whatever this was, he'd have to play along....mostly.
He still had his goggles and skates on. The former because it didnt really help with his quirk, so it was probably fine and he felt even more naked without it, and his skates because they were literally the only shoes he owned. He didnt need any other ones, and he wasnt about to go buy some shoes just for one bloody lesson, so he'd just have to hope Mia let him off the hook. Besides, he didnt plan on using them with his quirk for this, anyway. Not at the start anyway, but maybe it'd be a nice surprise for everyone when they found out how his quirk actually fuckin worked.
Anyway, After a nice walk, carrying a backpack full of his gear cause he wasnt about to leave it at home, he might need it after this, plus if he tried to leave home without it he started to get real paranoid, he'd arrive at the the training hall the class was supposed to be in. The first thing he noticed was a big fuck off scorpion tail. Attached to said tail was probably Katou, if he had to guess, that kid who had no idea what anything was actually like due to his upbringing. He still remembered how bad those Eggs were, Jesus.
Still, the guy looked like he really didnt wanna be here, considering how awkward he looked sittin there, staring literally everywhere at once. Poor bastard. On the other end of the specturm though, looking around around, Red managed to catch a glimpse of a familar red head running up to Mia and having to jump up to high five her. It was kinda funny, really. He had to hold in a little chuckle at her expense. After that she just jumped up to the top of the bleachers......probably because she wanted to feel tall after that. It was very, very funny.
"Hey, Mia, how you been?" Red'd ask, walking up to the massive lady and just high fiving her like a normal person. He'd grown a little since the last time they met, but he still had to reach up a bit on account of Mias own height. Woman was a physical monster, after all. Still though, he wasnt that intimidated by her, he knew she was usually pretty chill after working with her....as long as she didnt go berserk again, but the odds of that happening today were probably really fuckin low.
Either way, with greetings out the way, Red'd walk over to the bleachers and sit on one of the bottom rows, since he'd probably have to get up to show his quirk off in a second or two, and he couldnt jump up to Feng without using his skates so......going up there and then immediatly coming back down would just be a hassle. He already felt awkward without his stuff on, he didnt wanna make it worse for himself.
Besides, he could grab his gear from here really quick too, if he needed it. So, he'd just drop his bag on the ground, take his seat and stick his feet up on the seats in front of him, waitin for the lesson to start......he hadnt been late had he?

Waiting for the kids to show didn’t take too long. It… wasn’t the QUICKEST class to fill but hey it wasn’t like she was waiting on many kids anyway. The first kid to show seemed to have some sort of scorpion quirk and Mia greeted the new face, presumably a first year given she didn’t recognize them from festival footage, with a warm smile. He… seemed more than a little on edge though, glaring through her hand to the point Mia felt like her palm had grown some creepy eye or some shit that was glaring back at him but. Nope. Same old hand. Eventually he seemed to come to his senses, tapping her hand in passing but… that was…
Yeah.
Next up, Feng. A face she recognized and left her feeling more at ease. She’d felt a bit bad their internship together had turned into a bit of a mess given the random ass arson strike they’d stumbled upon but… the kid seemed to come out okay. No real reason to worry as far as she was concerned. She let out a hearty chuckle at the leaping high five and gave them a pat on the shoulder as they passed. No words needed there either. Katou had just sorta… weirded her out of exchanging words, but with Feng her own excitement seemed to show words of introduction weren’t too needed.
Finally, Red. Was weird seeing him in ‘non douchebag’ attire but she supposed the UA tracksuit wasn’t exactly far off from his usual look anyway. An easy high five this time and Mia folded her arms over her chest, tipping a leg infront of Red so he didn’t move on too quickly. “If I’m honest…? Not a 100 percent… half the lessons I’m running I don’t think the kids even wanna be there.” She let out a bit of a defeated scoff before shifting her leg and patting Red on the back. “Hopefully it won’t bore you lot too much though. Think I’m at least getting a little better. Eheh…~”
Once everyone was seated Mia ticked their names off on a clipboard, scooping down low and sliding the thing across the smooth floor of the training hall till it just bumped into her own back of supplies at the far end of the room, skimming the whole way like an expert curling shot, Mia dusting off her hands and rising up to face the kids, her voice firm but energetic, losing a bit of the bombastic nature the other two might know. It was still filled with ‘Mia energy’, just maybe not as overpowering as it could be during their internship.
“Well morning twerps! Hope I ain’t cutting into your day too much but I’m sure you’re all aware I hardly wanna be here either.” She shrugged casually, trying to continue playing off a joke with it as she rested her hands on her hips. “Ah well though. Guess you get to be my guinea pigs while I figure this teaching crap out! Welcome to quirk ingenuity!”
2 third years and a first year… bit of a rough mix but she could work with it.
“Okay, so we’ll start things off simple. The idea of this class is to think of new and interesting ways to use your quirks or the quirks of others. You’ll each come down here, describe, or display your quirk for the class, and then we’ll move on. I’ll go first to save anyone embaressing themselves, and then we’ll go through in the order you walked in.~” She paused briefly for any objections, before giving herself a nod and continuing. “Alrighty then. Well as you know I’m Red Horn. Number 1 pro perhaps but I’d hardly call my quirk number 1 on ‘the most interesting quirks’ list. Super strength is the name of the game with me. My body can rapidly produce, expand, and condense muscle fibres to produce inhuman strength. There’s a few more benefits, but that’s the long and short of it.”
She took a slow breath and started easing out of her UA jacket, tying the arms around my waist. “Now, I ALSO want you all to give at least one downside or weakness to your quirk. Here’s mine.” She brought one of her bare arms infront of her, and took long, deep breaths. It was about a minute of silent boredom other than that sadly, but Mia’s muscles slowly deflated from her natural state. Honestly she borderline could be called ‘feminine’ as her facial features softened a bit, more now looking like a 7 and a half foot woman with a gym fetish rather than the steroid beast she usually was. “My quirk’s weakness is… it relies on my mood. Even like this im still much stronger than the average loon, but.” She tightened her fist, and FAR faster than it had disappeared, her muscular state was returning. “I’m not what I could be. If an enemy can purposely calm me down with some dumb quirk, I’m suddenly not at the top of my game. Course I got other weaknesses, but we might spar some day, so I ain’t telling you kids everything.~”
She offered a cheeky smirk, hoping she didn’t bore everyone too deeply. She stepped aside and gestured to where she stood a second ago. “Katou right? Your up next.” She noticed he was a bit nervous and folded her arms. “Don’t worry, I’m about as new to this as you look.~”
Students might notice some concrete blocks were set up not far away from where she was asking them to stand if anyone wanted to really make a demonstration of their quirk, but Mia wasn't forcing it whatever the case. Just describing it and being open was enough. "Oh and er. if anyone REALLY doesn't want to, I ain't gonna mark you down for keeping your weaknesses to yourself.~"

Katou could feel seething discomfort and annoyance from Redhorn as he stood there. Katou made an awful first impression already, and he hasn't said or done anything yet. Katou shouldn't be here. Maybe he could excuse himself, or maybe he can ask to withdraw from the lesson as the teacher doesn't want him around. Katou was considering raising his hand to excuse himself from the exercise and hopefully never meet face to face with Redhorn, who he has convinced himself hates him now.
Katou was so deep in his thoughts that he didn't notice the other two students coming in, as he looked quite contemplative. Katou only got out of his head when Redhorn addressed the class, saying how she wanted to see them describe their quirks and show what inventive new ways that the students could use their quirks. And to Katou's shock, Redhorn-sensei went first. Revealing that her muscular form isn't permanent, she was still tall but not as big, as a way to reveal her vulnerability which is what she wants out of them, Katou was already listing his weaknesses in his mind.
Suddenly, Redhorn called out to him first which startled him a little which caused him to shoot up from his seat and as he quickly paced his way over to Sensei and stood there tensely with his arms on either side of him tightly with his jaw tighten and his expression timid, when Redhorn tried to reassure him Katou nodded and took a quick gasp of air as he tugged his sleeves and pants up to reveal his black carapace underneath.
"Um... I was born with my quirk. So I always had this dark carapace covering most of my body that protects me from harm, and uh can be used to hit hard." Katou stammered out awkwardly while revealing that his hands and feet ended in freakishly long claws. "I was also born with this tail and these pairs of wings, my wings let me fly for a short time, and my tail is about uh 8 feet long?" Katou awkwardly turned around to show off his red wings and huge tail-which frankly if they didn't notice would be worrying. "And for weaknesses... due to my massive size I'm easy to target, I'm kinda clumsy on my feet, and if my carapace is damaged, it takes a week to heal." Kato revealed his weakness since honestly, it was pretty easy to assume, and with that Katou awkwardly stood there for a moment until he noticed the cement cinderblocks nearby, and he had an idea, he was going to show an interesting way to use his quirk as she requested out of them.
With no prompting, Katou's wings fanned out from his back which with their smaller wingspan looks like it shouldn't be able to lift him, but as his wings started to flap faster and faster until they were nothing but translucent blurs. And With a slam of his tail on the ground to give him an extra boost of speed and then he launched himself up in the air. Despite his gracelessness on the ground, Katou in the air is very different. On the ground, Katou's head was always low and listless, but in the air, his head was high and focused, his normally closed off and timid stance, turns confidant and free, his lumbering and tense movements were now graceful and smooth. Katou flew close up against the wall until he reached the roof where he flipped himself upside down and used both his clawed feet and tail to push himself off it with great force and launched himself right at the cinderblocks, he pulled his wings closed to his body and whipped his body and tail in a corkscrew manner.
The Force of the action broke through the blocks easily and when his tail struck the ground he rolled off of his tail somewhat to slow down his momentum and unveiled his wings and started flapping them to catch himself mid-air and elegantly land on the ground with clacks of his carapace claws touching the ground, and almost instantly, Katou reverted to his old self as he asked, "h-how was that sensei?" when he returned to his seat with his feet click-clacking away on the ground. He felt like he could've done better. Katou after sitting down looked at the girl nearest him, who had bright red hair and he stumbled over his words for a moment before saying, "Uh...umm, You can go next Senpai...." Katou said very tensely as he quickly looked away from te ginger girl.

The last person came in and….it was Red. Of course she is glad that a friend also signed up for this class but another part of her wanted to try and...find her focus on things. Him being here won't get too bad but this was perhaps the worst time for him to appear. Fengs face was already getting a bit pink as she tried not to look at him for too long. She knows that she has her friends' words but her mind is a jumbled mess after everything and its only going to get worse if she keeps focusing on it. “Stay cool, stay cool, stay cool, stay cool, stay cool sta-’, is what she repeated in her mind as she fidgeted in place as she waited for the lesson to start.
Then Redhorn and her usual booming presence snapped her out of it and thus saved her. She listened intently as the number one pro. Getting to know about her quirk always boggled her mind as she never saw it this close before. Internships and the like were more a few glimpses than anything else. So this is a learning experience and insight on what kind of quirk does she has to make her so strong.”Maybe its blood based? Or fire? Or drinking or-”, the thoughts in her head were going faster and faster as the anticipation was absolutely driving her insane.
Her slow breath filled the silence as Feng's eyes widened as she saw the Big Oni woman become somewhat smaller for a change. She was like a completely different person as she looked at her in all of her glory. It left the girl speechless as she didnt know how to react to this sort of quirk. Redhorn explained it but most of it was just a sight for sore eyes as it was her first time see it. Her normal look slowly came back and she did a quick tease as she went to going into quirk demonstrations.
The nervous kid named Katou was up next and boy does he look nervous. He sorta reminds her of her twin brother. Just replace the tail with spring heels and boom, her dumb twin brother is born. He explained his quirk in his best way before showing it off. A small gust of wind was coming her way as she saw him fly into the air for a moment before coming down. He seemed almost free and different from when he was on the ground. As he landed she clapped for a bit before stopping as she took her deep breaths. As quick as he was in the air, he quickly touched down and then ushered Feng to go next. She of course stood up and activated her quirk to front flip onto the floor. Since there was not many people here, she can lighten up and use her normal tone for change.
“Hi hi hi, my quirk is Spring Loaded Legs for the obvious reason”, she gestured to her legs had spring like features on them. “ This quirk allows me to-”, she activated her quirk and goes into the air. “High! Into the air and it can be done several times to make me fly and do all sorts of stuff with them”, she landed on the ground with grace and confidence as she struck a pose. “ I can also release energy to make them burst into fire but will not do that for the sake of the fire alarms.” she continued as she looked to the concrete blocks. She takes a deep breath and then kicks one at full force all of a sudden. Shattering it instantly before going back to her last explanation.” My drawback as it relies on my breathing and me being able to maintain my stamina...it can be supplemented but a few things but most of it is hard work.’ Feng concluded as she bowed.
As she finished up her bit, she looked to Red who was sitting and simply asked. “I believe it is your turn next, sir~”, she says to him all jokingly. But she was trying to not panic as she was still dealing with many a feeling in her head.

"Really? The kids dont wanna be taught by the lady who trashed a couple blocks of a city? Colour me surprised." Red'd joke, since Mia wasnt gonna let him walk past without answering his question. To be fair, he couldnt really blame her. She didnt really seem like the class room type, in all honesty. Sure, she was pretty alright at teachin people stuff, all things considered, but the structure of a school just....didnt seem right for her. Besides, they'd probably tell her off for being too lax about rules and stuff, which was probably a pain in the arse for everyone involved.
"Seriously though.....you probably dont need to worry about it. Odds are they are just terrified of making a bad first impression to the top pro or just nervous....You know, kinda like that kid over there." Red'd try and reassure her, pointing a thumb at Katou in his seat, still looking awkward as all hell.
"Besides....These are test sessions anyway, so who cares if you fuck up a little bit? Just means ya need to work on it a little more but....Knowing you, it wont take much. Besides, you can just improvise. Thats always fun." He'd shrug his shoulders with a cheeky grin on his face, before walking off to sit down. The lady had a charisma that'd probably help carry her through this thing.
"Startin off strong, teach." He'd sarcastically reply to her, as she introduced the class to what they would be doing today. He was still chuckling a little at her joke though, it was good. Wasnt too overpowering with her usual energy, but still had the Trademark Mia charm behind it. Yeeeahhhh....She'll probably be fine once she figures out what they'll let her do. He thought to himself.
Still, it was a pretty simple idea. Show off your quirk, Pros and cons, how to use it in more creative ways/combine your quirks, all that stuff. Pretty simple idea, but one with pretty deep pockets. Considering how many different quirks there were at UA, You could come up with any number of combinations/steal ideas from other people/ get new perspectives on how your own worked by watching others. Red knew this would be fun....after all, he practically had a notebook full of stuff that could work for this class....That is if Mia every needed help. Which she probably didnt.
Seeing Mia deflate was a hell of a surprise though. She went from being the literal definition of a muscled behemoth to just.....a tall lady who worked out a bit. And had a horn in her head. He still figured she could crushed his head just by flexing, but it'd be a bit more painful now. The idea that her quirk was affected by her mood did put an idea in his head but....he'd keep that to himself.
"What, you aint confident you can beat us without hiding your weaknesses? You ssuuuurreee you dont wanna tell us?" He'd quip, knowing full well that it wasnt the case but.....eh, maybe she'd fall for it and he'd get somethin else to write in his notebook. That he already had out. He really liked figuring out how quirks worked, it was a bad habit from his....parents......Moving on.
He was already getting a few ideas on how he could counter/ work with Mias quirk better, when she called Katou up to the stage. It was pretty obvious what his quirk was already, considering the big fuckin tail he had...and the wings. You lucky bastard. He'd absent mindedly thing, as the guy started flying around, before breaking one of the cinderblocks with a corkscrew tail strike. Red was starting to get even more ideas here.
But, after he got back to the ground, Katou went from being....weirdly more confident, to back being awkward as all hell. That was another weakness he could think of, but he'd keep it to himself for now.....besides, Feng was up next anyway. He already knew her quirk pretty well, on account of being around her for the last year.....including a few incident where she sat on him and acted like a space heater for the rest of the school.
So, flipping to the page he already had on her, he'd start taking more notes. He didnt really add much, beyond adding a few details about her needing to breathe to use it well.....and same salty notes about how she could actually fly, unlike him.....lucky. He got an immediate idea on how to counter it, and he already knew how well their quirks could be used togother but...who knows, maybe he'd find something else out on that front today, too.
"Yup......get ready for dissapointment." He'd mumble to himself, getting up from his seat amd leaving his gear behind. He'd make sure to walk far away enough that he could turn around and look at it though.....had to make sure it didnt get fucked with. Paranoia, am i right? Either way, rolling his arms, he'd get ready to show off just how his quirk worked.
"Well....as you can probably tell from the annoying as fuck aura around me, my quirk is wind based. I can generate wind and use it for blasting people, moving around, that kinda stuff. Pretty simple right, Im sure you've all seen it at some point.....but theres a catch you dont know about." He'd start to explain......and to emphasise it, he'd punch the air next to him, and attemping to fire a blast of air....what came out could barely be considered a visible puff. It was hardly even visible.
"Its also momentum based. So, if Im just standing around, like now....I get nothin. If i start walking, I can get the shittiest double jump ever. If I run, I get a slight better double jump, you get the picture. Still, throwing a punch in a fight would probably still hurt someone, but....." He'd continue explaining, walking over to the cinder blocks and punching one....and barely denting the thing.
"So, I think that makes my weaknesses pretty obvious. If someone can stop me from moving, Im fucked. Sure, I can spin the turbine that generates the stuff on my own but.....well, you can see how that can end up for me." He'd shrug, gesturing to his face and arms, full of scars.
"Others include the fact that I cant even hold onto it for that long. Once i activate my quirk and generate the stuff, Ive got a short time limit to use it, other wise it starts to fuck me up. Cant go too fast either, or it fucks me up. My quirk fucks me up a lot." He'd joke, while he started to walk back to his seat.....but he did have to wonder something before he did.
"Well uhhh....thats my quirk without my gear, anyway.....want me to show off what its like with it or..........actually, never mind, i'll just sit down." He'd quickly shut up, realising that doing that would kind of ruin the point of the lesson....but he'd probably have to do it later anyway if they were gonna start combining quirks. Plus, he....really wanted to put it back on anyway, he real didnt like the lack of weight around his wrists at the moment.

Mia felt a little more at ease with Red teasing her back, both with her initial comments and during her little introductory speech, Helped her feel at ease generally just seeing the kids treat her more like an equal than above them or some form of authority they had to behave for. Of course, she still had to do her job and they were showing they were respectful enough to let her, she just had a mild worry of how things would go when the class got too rowdy in any case and she had to put her foot down on someone’s behaviour. She wasn’t looking forward to it.
Still, moving on things were going relatively okay, Katou seemed to show a burst of confidence when actually having to display his quirk. Maybe he had some weird nervous disorder tied to it? Hard to tell and she was far from a psycho therapist or any of that shit so she didn’t dare try to profile him like that, instead just folding her arms and offering some respect as he displayed his quirk, letting out a slow breath as she just absorbed a series of mental notes about what she was seeing here.
Next up, two people she knew, Red and Feng. Feng was first and her quirk was pretty straightforward. Mia had never known how specifically it worked so she still took that in and paid attention to the weakness she provided. Relies on breathing huh? Didn’t expect that, but made sense if she was constantly in a state of exercise using her legs so vigorously. Or maybe it was something more specific she didn’t understand yet.
For Reddarc, his wind quirk wasn’t what she remembered from seeing it in action but it made sense, he was displaying it at rest and as he explained it relied on momentum. It was one of those ideas of trying to stop an speeding car. The faster you let it get the harder that was gonna be, but it needed to actually gain the momentum in the first place to even be a worry. Good to know good to know.
“Alright gang, I appreciate the boldness in you all being brave enough to give off a weakness, let’s-“ She paused as Katou raised his hand a bit nervously. A brief exchange with the nervous kid and, with a soft sigh, Mia let out. “Look the class isn’t mandatory, if you don’t feel comfortable the doors over there.” She didn’t’ mean to seem dismissive but… she wasn’t exactly a tactful person. She watched him leave the class with a bit of a shuffle, about to turn back to the two remaining for an awkward duo lesson before her eyes caught a certain blonde peeking in, smirking cheekily. “Oi! Jaz! Space just filled up you wanna give me a hand so these two don’t suffer my shitty teaching alone?”
Once Jaz came in, Mia would fill her in that she needed to introduce herself, tell everyone about her quirk, and if she was bold enough, give at least one weakness or downside to her quirk. She didn’t have to do that last part but Mia was making sure everyone knew it’d be appreciated if they did.
With jaz catching up with her own introductions and taking a seat with the others, Mia took a deep breath. “OKAY! One in, one out, we’re back to business. Phase two of the lesson. Bit of personal work. Talk amongst yourselves a little, and when you’re done, I want each of you to give a use of someone elses quirk. It can be anything useful to a hero, and you can make up whatever you want. I don’t care if a gadget you’d need is pheasable, if it’s in your brain that’s good enough. Now while we’re not actually keeping score, bonus points if you can use someone’s downside or weakness as a form of benefit? Won’t be easy, but go ahead.”
She raised a hand. “And again, just before you start, this doesn’t have to be PHEASABLE. If you have an idea, don’t ask the person if that’ll work directly. We’re looking for creative, out of the box ideas here. I’ll give y’all…” She looked to a clock on the wall. “Let’s say 5 minutes? (2 rounds of posting) to just gnatter and get some extra details out of each other. You can even choose my quirk, or can double up on someone who’s quirk already got chosen, so don’t worry about having to decide ‘who gets who’. Once your times up, I’ll open up the discussion first by mentioning something I came up with.”

A groan sounded off in the hallways connecting the many areas of the training facilities together, most of which were being used by students of all years. Most of the seniors had already developed training plans for themselves -- either on their own or with a Pro Hero's guidance -- while sophomores, while definitely smarter after their first year, were still seen trying to figure out what they wanted to focus on. And freshmen? With how few of them were around Jasmine would've ventured to guess the lot of them hadn't really started the physical portion of their studies just yet, which was understandable given the adaptation period.
The ashen wolf had just finished her own brand of physical training for this portion of the day, having been mostly focusing on getting her strength back to what it used to be. A fair amount of sweat already covering her skin, she was going through the motion of stretching as she made her way along the hallway, sneakers squeaking against a surprisingly clean limestone floor. Huffing, puffing and exhaling sharply, Jasmine had momentarily halted in her stride when a familiar voice and the view from a gap of open doors caught her attention. Twin emeralds had immediately spotted Mia with three other students, two of which she recognized to be Feng and Reddarcc. Humming to herself, Jasmine crouched down and kept watching, listening in on what she could only assume were one of Mia's classes. The Pro was clearly new to this whole teaching thing and it was rather amusing to try and see her teach kids.
"What in the hell?" Jasmine complained through a confused blink, "Do you have eyes in the back of your skull or something?" She offered a quick nod to the third student who had suddenly decided to leave the premises before she stepped forward, a tired sigh escaping her as she massaged the back of her neck and rotated her head. Walking up to Mia, she'd been told the gist of what the lesson was about. A few nods of approval followed as the cogs began moving in the wolf's brain, the ashen haired lass considering herself lucky she decided to listen in on the students nearly from the start.
"Aight, well..." she began, eyes drifting from Mia to Feng, then to Reddarc and back to Mia before she regarded all three people present at the same time. "Quirk's named Eruption for obvious reasons. Used to be called Ember's Wrath but that only made sense when my Hero name was Ember. Anyway, just by looking at me using my quirk you'd think all I do is make shit explode and, well, you wouldn't exactly be wrong, but there's much, much more to it than that."
"The basic idea is that my body takes the nutrients I consume through food and transforms part of them into what scientists back in the states called C2N14x -- a variation of C2N14, or, 1-Diazidocarbamoyl-5-azidotetrazole, if you want to get super specific -- which also makes my body temperature much higher than your average Joe and alters my physical appearance a little bit -- namely makes my eyes red and can make my hair seem like it's burning, depending on how much power I use. And yeah, you guessed it - because of how my body distributes all the minerals and vitamins I consume I have to eat way more than your everyday person if I want to keep my body in peak physical condition and my quirk as powerful as it can be. So I guess that can be considered a weakness. Starve me - I'll be useless," she said, shrugging.
"Anyway, C2N14x is super volatile and highly reactive and will explode on contact with just about anything if I don't forcefully keep it in check myself - yes, even oxygen, which there is plenty of. The way I control how much of it I use at a time is something of a mental process and a skill of its own. I'm able to maneuver it within my body with pin-point precision - not something that I learned to do easily." Jasmine paused for a brief moment, quickly realizing that she'd fought all three individuals present before. She snorted, "Sure, it might look like I use these blasts effortlessly but it requires a tremendous amount of focus. If I fuck my internal calculations up one of two things can happen: either, a) the blast is much weaker than what it should have or could have been; or, b) it's far too strong than I intended it to be and I pretty much blow myself and everything around me up. Yeah, not fun."
"That's pretty much the gist of how my quirk works. Through the use of my hands I can shape my explosions into varying forms, as Mia herself has experienced-" the wolf added, snickering as she jabbed Mia's elbow -- namely the one she ended up shattering during their spar a little while back, "-and at higher levels of focus I can pick and choose specific materials that need to come into contact with C2N14x for it to react, and I can even determine how long it takes for it to go critical, effectively making me able to create mines... though I'm still not too good at that."
"So, yeah. Two weaknesses. One - lack of food consumption. Two - focus, or better yet my mental state. Three... well, this is the more obvious one. Recoil," Jasmine lifted her arm and curled her arm at the elbow, flexing the many very visible muscles all along her limb. "Every single explosion I make has kickback. Because of my physical training I can handle most of my explosions -- and ironically enough experiencing this recoil over and over again has strengthened my muscles and bones too -- but there's a very clear threshold I can't go through just yet if I want to keep my arms or any other part of my body I decide to secrete the compound from -- and yes, I can release boombooms from any part of my body," as though to emphasize her point, Jasmine spat out saliva onto the ground... said saliva ending up having been mixed with a very small amount of C2N14x which detonated like a small firecracker the second it landed on the floor. "I like to call my highest caliber the Mk3, and that bad boy I can only withstand about three times before it really starts to hurt."
"That should be good enough for a conversation, right?" she voiced her thoughts aloud as she approached her two peers after Mia explained the last part of the discussion. "So, where do we start?"

Jaz coming in and the other student leaving was quite abrupt but it was something that she didn't bat an eye considering the other students' state of affairs. She entered in with her usual tone and did her best to keep up as she was the last to show up technically. But she made sure to get everyone up to speed as she explained her quirk in great detail. It was something that she took alot of notes in and was surprised about many aspects of the quirk she didn't know about. Much of it was all grand and she didn't know about all the drawbacks it had, especially the details involving her state of hunger.
She knows how she uses it due to the fact that she has fought her before but never the finer details like that. That and the fact that her quirk has recoil….which isn't that weird in hindsight considering she is firing explosions but then again it shares a different deal with her quirk which are god damn springs for legs. But just hearing about her quirk again makes her wanna fight her again.
Redhorns lecture then started to get the gears in her head to start spinning. Thinking up various ways to use another's quirk was something she enjoyed doing. There were many of her peers who have a lot more to their quirks than hers and it was something she felt a bit inadequate about.
But nonetheless she opened up her end of the conversation with ideas on how Red can improve his quirk use with the only way she knows how. “I guess we’ll go round robin and give our ideas on how two others can use their quirks...I’ll open up with suggesting something for Red’s quirk”, looking to him with a scholarly expression.” It will be a bit predictable but maybe incorporating a martial art that allows you to build up momentum without moving a distance. Like me doing a step dance in place or maybe using that brain of yours to use your quirk on its own without the need of gadgets….which sounds heretical but you know what I mean...or maybe use massive weights on your legs so when you need t get serious you take em off and them you have more speed to work with...”.Her brain was more or less trying to build some kind of martial art that would help Red, to whether to not he was open to the question is down to his preferences. An explosive martial art looks more his style as it uses his quirk in another way. Jazs quirk has a lot of things already figured out as she fought her before so most of her brain is digging for a new way to apply both their quirks.
Maybe Red can spin around using weights or using more body movements to increase his momentum in a quicker matter tat doesn't involve using his skates. But then that looks less cool than he does as she recalls him relying on them a lot. Does it seem rude to suggest,'oh hey can you try using other methods aside from using your skates'. Maybe he can make a gadget that can boost his momentum better and centers around improving his skates even more but then that increases his use of them even more. Which can mess with him when she recalls the brawl where he was useless during the time they were broken. Its a weird Goldberg machine of quirk using that she only understands in the most simple terms of'oh hey move to get more damage'. Which is the same as hers except his way better on the fact that he can reach a higher speed than her. But then how else can one build up moment quickly... maybe spin his arms around to see how much wind is generated from that. The steam from her head as she thought can be seen as she quickly snapped out of it to say her piece to Jaz.
"Explosions usually have a lot of use in fights and you use it to its best way possible but....maybe create more smaller explosions for projectiles and attacks to save energy and to surprise the enemy....a one lady blitzkrieg is your image and I you can turn your quirk into a mini gun with enough focus I think....", she cautious suggested to her as she recalled their fight and how she used it. Fighting is the only real way she can see them use their quirk to their best potential. But a part of her is hesitant for the fact that she doesn't want to come off as rude or imposing her martial arts disciplines onto others. Its like back street driving but with quirk use, they were born with the quirk and they got this far without a suggestion so it all feels off to say the least. Explosions can be used in so many ways that she already does already. Maybe create a smoke screen with her quirk and see if it works or not. Maybe find a way to chain multiple explosions in a row to deal more damage without dealing with the recoil. A gadget can help as well as she can absorb the force and possibly utilize it in another way. What about a skull shaped cannon arm that can be loaded with her quirk and fired at full force. Her mind was bouncing around in 45 directions and she needed to calm down.
“Feel free to suggest what I can do with my quirk as well...I’m a bit stumped with mine due to how I fight already…and my focus on martial arts rather than the quirk itself...”, she adds on as she scratches the back of her head. Her mutation does limit her options compared to the emitters here so it's a tough wall to climb with how much more versatile they are compared to her legs. Her expression was rather focused as she looked between Red and Jaz for any ideas on how to use their quirk.

While Mia was explaining what the next part of the lesson was gonna be, Red was rather quickly putting all his gear back on. It didnt take that long, considering they were designed to be quickly equipped and unequipped if he needed it, but that was mostly incase he needed to switch. After all, he pretty much never took them off. The cuffs were small enough that you wouldnt be able to tell what they were for, just looked like weird wrist cuffs on his gloves. Same could be said for his ankle ones, just looked like weird shoe cuffs or something. The hilts were the most obvious things but even then, they looked more like tools than weapons....its how he got away with keeping them on all the time, rea---
"...Wait wha?" Red would ask, looking up and realising two things: firstly, Katou was nowhere to be seen. He wondered if the guy had somehow gone invisible with his quirk, or though the sheer power of awkwardness, but that didnt look like it was the case....After all, Jaz was in here now. Red had missed the whole student swap thing but....hey, he got to learn about 5 quirks instead of 4, so it was really just a bonus. "Hey Jaz, she rope you into this too?" He'd joke.
Still, finishing putting his gear on and breathing a VERY obvious sigh of relief, he'd get his notebook open again and head to the page he had on Jaz. This one was one of the most detailed he had, barring Yumi of course, due to who Jaz was. He'd practically written a novel about her with how many notes he had, from how she fought, how he could counter her if they fought again, dumb ideas he'd gotten based on her quirk, that stuff. He never knew how it fully worked though....so today was turning into a gold mine of knowledge.
"Oi, she aint the only one." Red'd joke as Jaz elbowed Mia a little.....he might not have experienced her full potential, but Red had been exploded on that fine day a little bit. Still, It was an pretty interesting demostration. Jaz's quirk was a LOT more complicated than Red though it had been, but in that complication Red realised that her quirk was a lot more versatile then he'd believed.
Red was slightly familar with the original compound Jaz was talking about, since he'd tried using it for his nitrous and some bottle rockets when he was younger which.....hoo boy, that had been a mistake that day, but he knew how it worked......kind of. And if Jaz's compound was even MORE volatile, then she could control it....man, that was giving him quite a few bloody ideas.
"What, so we can try and figure out a way for you to get wings and fly?.....actually with your muscles you could probably do it, never mind." Red would joke, muttering the last part to himself. Still though, a whole 5 minutes to talk quirk ideas? Didnt even have to be feasible, just had to somehow work?.....Man she was going to regret goving Red that much time, his brain was already running at top speed, churning out ideas for gadgets and theoretical quirk physics ideas......He kinda understood why people wondered why he was on the Hero course a little.
"Huh, wha?" Red would snap out of his none stop train of thought, thanks to Feng saying his name and looking at him like she was about to tell him something important. Turned out it was just her ideas of what Red would do with his quirk which....well.....".....Feng thats what I have these for." Red would sigh out, pointing at his cuffs.
"Besides, having weights on would be fuckin stupid, thats just limiting myself for no reason. I wouldnt be used to the speed I get once i drop em, so it wouldnt be worth it at bloody all" Red'd continue shooting down her ideas for him atleast, cause they just wouldnt work....or he already had them in the case of the martial art. He'd developed the microbursts of his quirk for that exact purpose, after all.
Her idea for Jaz was pretty sound though. The only problem was that Feng didnt know she could technically already do something like that.....if he remembered correctly, Jaz had literally done finger guys at him during that fight, firing explosive bullets at both her opponents without breaking a sweat. Still, it was a pretty good effort all around, its not like she had extensive notes on people or anything.
"Well, if we're going round robin then....gimme just a sec." Red would start up, flipping towards the notes he had on Fengs quirk. "If Im right, When you set your legs on fire you start to overheat right? Due to the raise in body temperature. Heres the thing though...with your stealth abilities, you can actually use that to your advantage. You know mirages? Heat haze, that kinda stuff, usually seem em on desert roads." Red would explain, his voice getting slightly faster with each word said. He was going into rant mode again, the machine gun that was his mouth was firing on all barrels today.
"If I remember correct, thats due to the difference in temperature between the surface and the air, causing the phenomenon. Therefore, you could probably apply something like that to yourself. When you set your legs on fire, up the temperature as best you can to heat up the air around you, causing a limited version of a mirage that would could use for after images or something. Hell, You could probably get a....Temperature controller gadget to do just that, so you dont just pass our out immeditaly." Red would finish explaining, in his own little world as he flipped the page back over to the Jaz note section. No, he hadnt breathed yet, he had to take a massive breathe before he started up again.
"As for you Jaz, you said that you can control the reactive nature of your compounds, and how quickly they react, right? Well uhh.....How about literal grenades? I came up with a similar concept a while back for myself, you channel your quirk into a storage container, with whatever the trigger for it would be, and then if you need it you can have back ups or pass them to other people to use. You could also get some shoes that let you mine the ground underneath you once you get good at it, so if someone tries to rush you down you can just jump back and watch them blow themselves up. Plus, if possible, you could get a gauntlet that lets you neutralize the explosion itself, but still generate the shockwave of the blast in blow things back, incase you cant just explode them. Or maybe you could up the brightness factor of the explosions to blind people, like a flashbang.......OR MAYBE YOU COULD----
No, Red had still not breathed. He wasnt even looking at either of them, he was just looking at his notebook and jotting things down if he didnt already have them in there. He'd hardly blinked either, he was so far off in his own, quirk support gear nerd world. It'd been a while since he'd done this, the last time was probably while he was helping Yumi develop her lightning rods, if he remembered correctly. He still had other ideas for both of them too, he was talking about 100 miles a minute right now.

"heh, something like that." Mia idly teased back as Jaz entered the room all the same. It was good to have her here whatever the case, and while Mia knew her quirk well she took a few steps back and sat on one of the cinderblocks as she watched and listened to the display. She'd actually seen Jaz in action a lot but she'd never actually remembered getting the details of her quirk, idly thinking on what she was being told with an idle hum. She wasn't about to use any of this against the girl, but she was taking in what she could for how she planned to continue the lesson once everyone was done discussing.
All the same, she'd let the three of them sit in the bleachers for a bit and quietly observe them. Feng was forward but seemed... reserved, if she had to guess. It was like she wanted to be the voice of the party in some way but just didn't quite have the energy or presence to really pull it off. Maybe it was a rough initial judgement but something seemed different with her now than the girl she remembered having on her internship. Jaz still seemed to be finding her place back at UA, but had the confidence to slip back in well enough that Mia kind of had to be looking for it in her nature. Heck if Mia didn't KNOW she'd been gone for a year it'd be hard to tell the difference... ignoring the grey hair and lighter muscle mass. Red... hoo boy. She couldn't fully hear what he was saying but she was getting a migraine from here trying to keep up with how fast his lips were moving. Was he even being coherent? hehe... still, was nice observing them a bit more relaxed, without some fight or spar on the table for 'em.
Mia idly thought about each of their quirks herself. To be fair she was going to shoot an idea for each of them herself first. She was oddly creative when it came to quirks. Afterall she had practice. Whenever she had a public appearance, like the first time Jaz may have seen her at Semper Fi, she tried asking the crowd of kids to tell her their quirks, and she'd find some on the spot way to make their quirks feel all the better than they may have felt they were. It was a habit she'd formed to help people just... feel like they got the good hand, even if they got the bad one in life.

Listening to the two students try to make sense of the situation put a small smile on Jasmine's face. Her head tilted slightly to the side, arms crossed beneath her bust, she listened with keen eyes, nodding along to the many explanations and suggestions offered to her by her peers. She nodded once more, "Yeah, what Red said. I can pretty much do all of what you mentioned, save for an actual minigun. I can do finger guns and something more akin to an assault rifle, depending on how I put my fingers together. I feel like a minigun would be a little hard to control, though there are definitely situations where I could see it being useful!" She agreed, still smiling. "Flashbangs, smokescreens, shockwaves... quirk control has been the focus of my training for, what... three years now, give or take? I've sorta gone to stupidly long lengths to try and figure out more ways to use my quirk -- it just seemed like the best type of practice. Each time I try something I haven't before I need to adjust how I disperse C2N14x across my body and basically re-learn how to control my quirk," she explained, all the while holding up her hand to visualize an active spark bouncing around her hand and fingers, dancing along her skin freely as though to show the degree of control she's learned over the years.
"No dice, unfortunately," the ashen wolf shook her head. "I've tried support gear that lessens the recoil I feel but all of it is heavy as all hell and comes at the expense of speed. Honestly I'd rather stick to having a numbered amount of aces of my sleeve and always be as fast as I can be rather than have enormous firepower but be slow, y'know?" After Red's suggestion, though, she snapped her fingers and pointed a finger at him, eyes lit up. "That, though, might actually be a great idea," she pondered. "Sure I can make grenades for myself with my hands just fine but having a support item that lets me make grenades, flashbangs and whatever else for anybody else on my team to use?" The grin that plastered itself on her face was almost evil... in a comical sense, of course. "Perfect." Jasmine would turn to Feng after appreciating the ideas both of her peers offered her. "You use fire, right? How about using precision fire releases to boost your strikes?" She asked. "You remember this kid named Darren, right? 'Course you do. Who doesn't remember that idiot. Well I've uh, fought him. A lot. Like, far too many goddamn times... and his quirk works in a very interesting way. Basically, generating kinetic energy seemingly outta nowhere and making his body move. It let him punch people without the windup, is basically what I'm saying. So what if you managed to do the same thing? Like... use your quirk to suddenly give you a burst of momentum and kinetic energy?" "Here, let me show you." Taking a few steps back, Jasmine got into a stance and reared her hand back, balling it into a fist. "It took me a little while to mimic this but it's a great way of staying unpredictable in tight spots." She then, slowly, swung her arm forward in the form of a jab and at the apex of her swing, a small explosion erupted from her elbow, immediately increasing the velocity of her strike. "At the very apex of your strike, just shoot out a precision blast of fire from an adjacent part of your limb to give yourself a sudden oompf. In this way, whoever you're facing will likely be caught off guard and end up getting hit, not just suddenly, but with more force than you originally intended. Since you use kicks to fight, you can do it with your feet, too! Like so," she showed off a swift roundhouse kick and released a small explosion from the back of her heel, strong enough to actually make the wolf spin in place. "'Course you need a lot of focus and training to pull it off properly -- especially in a fight -- but master this and you'll add a whole new level of unpredictability to your fighting style. Plus, timed releases versus leaving it on constant blast will help you manage your overheating better, stretch out the time you can use your fire for. That and, well, beyond just attacking you can use this method to increase your general mobility too!" "As for you, Red," she turned to the male in question, smiling. "How about you show and tell us what you can do with your gear?" She asked, genuinely curious as she felt like she'd be able to give more advice if she was familiar with the extent of how his powers worked.

“Oh...thats good then...I think” Feng was a bit defeated as each of her suggestions for Red were shot down one after another. It was either too obvious or the idea was already done. She kept her spirits high as she was more a fighting type rather than the thinking one. He was more the brainy type than her so it’d make sense to have his ideas already made and worked on. His stuff existed for a reason and just shooting out random ideas without much thought comes with that end. She didn't hold it against him as it was a lesson in thinking and she was a bit too simple in her way of thinking in the end for his quirk.
But her suggestion of Jaz did get through to some result, though her overactive imagination was anchored down by a few limitations and the fact that she does it already. But she appreciated the effort at least and she did her best with giving her own ideas. This of course didn't shake away the feeling of inadequacy as they were shot down but she learned to deal with it. Wouldn't be the first time she experienced this and wont be the last unless she gets out of her bubble.
“My ideas are a bit more basic than any of your’s….Im more about brute forcing things and less thinking than I thought”
Her ideas were of course uninformed as she didn't take intensive notes on her peers as much as she should. She was more a fan of taking them on and learning in a fight rather than making theories and what ifs on how they should work. To see the explosions, to feel the wind on her shoulders, to feel the pain when taking the heat, that's what she is used to learning.. But then came the new wave of suggestions as her posture perked up.
Red’s suggestions did bring up an interesting thought on how to use her quirk. But it came with execution due to specs. She may need to build up her resistance to the heat since relying on gear is going to weigh her down.”Hm...that could work...may need to do a few tweaks to my suit and physical ability to supplement that as well… temporary mirages are useful but its going to become tricky when I need to put it into practice...but not a bad idea”, she replied in a calmer tone as she began to think on how to use set things in action. One obvious use is to use it at the start of a fight and send it to get closer to the target but mirages are shadow clones or anything like that. Maybe using it in a chase or in a tight situation to get an edge on someone but that has its issues as well as it comes with the issue of the opponent's ability to see through it. For now she puts a pin on that idea for now as she turns her attention to Jaz’s idea.
Her idea was more direct in application as she heard her idea go down. She recalled Darren and his techniques, she didn't think about him in a while But she recalled his technique and how effective it was in fights. The idea is sound and the technique is simple...but execution is a similar issue since she needs to get it down on a dime. She took in as much information as she could as she watched Jaz give her example. Her eyes glowed for a moment as she looked at every detail of the movement. Her posture, the motions and timing were scanned quickly as she did it. “Hm...thats also a good idea...lemme see if I ca…”, she moved a bit away from the group as she took a ready stance. Steadying her breathing and keeping her heartbeat still and strong. She did the motion for a kick and as it hit the apex of the arc, she activated her quirk and power increased more as she spun around and hit the air in front of her. Her expression remained calm and resolute as she felt something was off in the kick.”..seems like its an application of my sustain jumps in the air on attacks...interesting’, she thought as she got back to the group.
“Hm...a lot of gear is needed for his quirk..he has everything covered but maybe if...he can compress his wind into...no he does that already...he can technically fly if he can sustain his blasts but that also messes up his arms..hmm”, she muttered as she joined Jaz in her brainstorming. Her brain was kicked into gear as Jaz's suggestion jump started her battle brain and she wondered what else she can suggest that can help Red out.
"You're already a wind turbine so...spinning around and using the energy to attain flight is an idea...a stupid one but something that can work if tuned correctly...you have other areas covered so a new way to move could help to your benefit but..dont know if thats stylish looking hmm...", she suggested as put on her thinking face...which just looks like her pouting from the outside.
