280 WC Keep talking or BOOM!! | Chimera frowned slightly at Rowan's question, which he wasn't sure himself on. They had been explicitly told to have the escort on the first floor, but on the floor above it felt pointless--like extra weight, or a handicap. So it should have been fine to leave it here right? "Without, I think! If I'm wrong I'll own up to it," he nodded and continued up the stairs, Miku and Rowan not far behind.
As Miku said, Chimera cautiously picked up the bomb and began to turn it around in his paws. It definitely looked like a bomb, but not like any sort of actual bomb he'd seen before. The panels along its front were all different looking puzzles, for one. So the test itself wasn't defusing an actual, life-like bomb, but rather exactly what Miku's first instinct was: a long-distance trust exercise. But with a bomb. How lovely. "Ummm, here let me just--"
He turned it onto its side. "There's a serial number on the bottom? That's..." he knew the damn NATO alphabet, what was it, what was it?? "Quebec, six, one, Echo, Charlie, four." He turned the bomb towards himself, looking at the opened panels. "There's...four--no, three panels, one's the timer. Wires, a button, and something that looks like four weird hieroglyphics? A trident, a B with a t on top of it, a C with a dot in the middle of it, and a smiley face..."
He glanced at Rowan next. "Line?...oh, I have wires? Uh, six wires, black, blue, red, blue, red, black. Should...should I cut the red one? Is that right?"
"And, uh, last panel is just a button. A big yellow button that says 'HOLD'."

Miku observed everythin written on the wall. Soon Chimera observed and spoke. When he said a serial number, Miku nodded. And then he said the serial number "Quebec. Echo. Charlie?.... oooh, NATO alphabet! I only knew Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo.... thanks G. Ok ok, Quebec 6 Echo... yeah, I can do this" Miku thought to herself and soon focused on the next part 4 panels. A timer. Button and wires and... hierogylph. Miku immediatelly went there since those were an eye catcher and definitelly familiar to her. Its TOTALLY like the game. "Trident, B with a T, C with a dot and smiley face?" Miku asked for confirmation. Once Chimera confirmed she spoke to him. "Ok Chim. Imma stop you on the other stuff. Focus on the hieroglyph symbols. You're gonna press them starting with..." she looked at the wall manual "Trident first, and then smiley face, after that B with a T and then the dotted C" Miku said her instuctions and waited for Chimera to confirm he did it
Once that was clear, she let him focus on the other part. Rowan asked about a line. But Miku couldnt look away. She did perk up when Chimera mentioned wires. He said 6 wires. Miku looked at the part about wires. There were 4 scenarios of what ifs with 6 wires. Miku listened to Chim explain more. He spoke of colours, presumably from top to bottom. Black. Blue. Red. Blue. Red. Black "Black. Blue. Red. Blue. Red. Black" Miku mentally repeated to herself as she read the instructions "If there are no yellow wires and the serial number is odd. Ehh, Im pretty sure it was an even. Nope. If there is one yell- nope. If th- Nope" Miku mentally read and thought "Cut the 4th wire" Miku said to Chim and just crossed her fingers so they wouldnt kaboom.
If everything was well, Miku would look for information about the button which was yellow and just had HOLD writen on it. Miku would carefully read what it says there, but that info was so confusing that she bit her lip

She wanted to open her mouth to say something about the wires when she looked at the description but Miku was first and she shut her mouth without saying anything. "No, not the red one, it's just me looking at too many movies." She tried to sound teasing but found herself a bit useless and her arms felt heavy. She rubbed the side of them and just stood there, no idea what to do until Chimera spoke about a button, so the information must be around in this room right? She almost wanted to kick a pebble when she found an inscription. "Hey it says, if you have a yellow button to hold it." She immediately called out to wait because instructions and Rowan, she was far too impatient, "Wow stop let me read it again, okay so when you have a yellow button, you have to hold it and watch the count down till," It was a little dusty or something so she brushed it away, yuck so gross. "Till the count down timer has a five in any position." What the fuck did it mean to be in any position? She didn't get it and looked at the two that were apparently more meant for this. "Eh, did that help?"
It was maybe a little silly, she did not know what to make of it and walked back to the table, this was the best she could do and it felt a little stupid. "Anything else?" She therefore muttered, not sure if she should push herself away or anything but she would just wait for other instructions from Chimera and watch Miku who seemed to be much better at it. Was this maybe like games people used to play? Others had told her about games but she had not really played any before, it started to catch up.

357 WC Yaaaaay | Okay, okay, so there were instructions on those things on the wall. And Miku and Rowan were able to figure out whatever the hell he was saying and find solutions. Whoever designed this was either expected students to believe in the importance of communication between teammates, or the opposite of that and wanted to see uncommunicative students get blown up. Either or.
Chimera listened closely to the first series of instructions, tapping at the buttons with each hieroglyphics on them as Miku spelled them out. As he did so they lit up with a green light until all of them were lit, and then a little light besides the timer lit up as well. That was a good thing right? "Hieroglyphs are done! And it worked! Moving to wires." Once more he listened and counted out the wires. The fourth was a blue one. So cut the blue one. With one long claw he slid beneath the wire and quickly pulled it back, snapping the wire with its point. A second green light lit up. They were doing it! He felt a little less useful being the one staring at the bomb instead of looking up how to defuse it but...well, of the three of them, he could probably tank an explosion best. So.
"Wires cleared. Moving to the button...you said a five in any position?" He pressed down on the yellow button and held it, and a yellow light lit up besides it as it was held. He kept an eye on the clock. Three minutes and forty seconds. Thirty-nine, thirty-eight, thirty-seven, thirty-six--
BEEP!
He released, and the third green light lit up, and Chimera let out a long sigh of relief and put the bomb down as its timer stopped in place. "Done! Who the fuck puts a bomb in the middle of a training exercise??" As he said that, he heard the door across from them click open. Oh goodie. They didn't have too much longer before Aquitaine's quirk wore off, but they'd been doing pretty well for their very first time in this place, right? God he hoped so.

When Chimera fully defused the bomb, Miku hugged Rowan and said "Yay! We did it!" in a celebratory voice. She turned to Chim and considered hugging him as well.... but hesitated since he was a boy. Plus she was sure he probably didnt like being hugged by a girl or somethin. Well, she decided to drop that, so she turned to the 2 instead and ask "So, whats our next move, team?" she asked
Miku decided to play the support here and let one of them lead her. She may be class prez, but that doesnt mean she was a born leader who could lead in any situation. Others had their expertizes. Plus Chim is a tank and Rowan is smart. Miku herself is just there. Granted she was surprised her gaming skills proved useful. Of all things GAMING saved the day. Oh bruh, this was something she'd have to tell G. He'd love hearing this. But Miku needed to brush that off and focus on other stuff, which was this gauntlet of trials. She awaited her teams answers so they could organize. Granted they probably needed to move quickly and in any case she would follow the two and be their support, because there was no way she'd move ahead first

Without a doubt, Rowan was a sore loser and she had to convince herself, she wasn't losing in teamwork efforts. Then you could not lose, but she could be slow and not understanding what you had to do apart from just reading the instructions, oh well. She said nothing and just let Miku hug her which surprised her. Rowan did not like hugs, she did not get the idea of the love and affection or friendship behind it but tried to smile, pat Miku on the shoulder and not look too happy when she was released from the cage that she imagined it to be like. She remembered her first hug or well first understanding hug as Sean had explained what it was about and what it meant, surely but that did not mean that she liked it either, it had calmed her though as the big bad that was the ocean was much worse to look at than being held by someone nice.
With a beep, the next room had opened and Rowan suggested that they should just check it out. Being one of the closest to the door, she marched on. But right when she stepped over the threshold and she felt something as if a rock was pushing her arms and shoulders down and she couldn't help but let out a yelp and look around but she wasn't in a room yet, she was in another hallway and she turned around, what the hell was that? She did not think the seven minutes were already over and albeit the dummy was but a dummy it had been quite heavy for someone who had not trained hard enough to carry a person. "I don't like this feeling." She felt like she ran out of breath and muscles that she did not want to feel and she tried to continue but there was another sound something about the time being up and she looked around again but nothing new was visible, "Does this mean we have to leave?" She asked they probably had to get out of Fort Slog. It was an interesting class for sure but she had not really accomplished much, right?
